Saving money. I'll provide an addition star when the temperature setting is a dial rather than a slider. Much too hard to accurately select a desired temp. The fifth star will be added when programming functions are added. Everyone has discussed the benefits and now id like to see ecobee higher some talent to create a better iOS app and better website controls.

Doesn't work. This worked great when we first installed it. It's the only one that works with a whole-house humidifier. However, this app hasn't been working for a couple of weeks now. The actual thermostat no longer functions properly either. When changing temperature, the app and thermostat will slide to change temp, but pop right back where it was. For instance, if current temp is 72 and I try to change to 68, I can slide the control, but when I take my finger off, it pops right back to 72. Up or down, no matter what the attempted change, just does not work anymore. Doesn't work 99% of the time! Called for support, service updated, but still doesn't work. Tried hard restart on phone for app, tried deleting and reinstalling the app -- doesn't work!

No ios8 support. Hope they release an update for ios8

Easy Setup, Reliable, & Terrific!!. I ran into some questions during installation but their phone support was helpful and knowledgeable. Overall great product and worked as advertised. My Smart controls the HVAC, Dehumidifier, and flood sensor perfectly with this app. It alerts me when my humidity level is too high & flooding alert via email. Great job Ecobee! A+ rating!!

A decent first effort with one big caveat.. I was thrilled to finally see the release of this app. I have downloaded it and it works well and feels just like the thermostat interface. However, the programming and settings function are not available which makes the utility of this application very limited for our application. To elaborate, we like to turn up the heat at our Lake house on the trip up just before we lose cell reception in the mountains. Because we frequently have guests at the house we must have the thermostat set to revert to programmed temperatures at every program transition (wake, home, asleep, etc) to prevent large heating bills/freezing possibility. This means if we turn up the thermostat just before we lose cell reception, if it coincides with a programmed temperature change it will override our change and we may arrive to a cold house. Having access to the programming/settings would enable us to change the temperature on any given trip and ensure that it stays that temperature until we arrive. I await version 2.0 with these functions!

Decently functional; missing a few key features. Useful to turn on heat on the drive home, or to check current house temperature. Would be nice to be able to change the schedule, which would look great especially in a much needed iPad version.

Thermostat A+. App C-. This app does not help ecobee sell thermostats...in all honesty it probably hurts sales. Lets hope we get a full featured iOS 8 compatible app soon...for all ecobee legacy thermostats...and not just something new for those who upgrade to ecobee 3.

Remote Management for Your Thermostats!. The Ecobee Smart Thermostat works great. I have more than one thermostat and the Ecobee allows them to be managed through my iPhone via my wireless network. There's no need to go downstairs to adjust the temperature. I can just use the Ecobee app on my iPhone from the bedroom. I can even adjust the temperature from the car. I was skeptical when my husband first bought one of the Ecobee Smart Thermostats, but the iPhone app has convinced me. This app works great with the Ecobee.

Lovin it!. Very easy install and awesome app. Don't even look at the thermostat much because I use the app. Also sounds like the developers have some cool stuff in the works meshing it with Siri if apple allows. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another. Already have 2.

App doesn't respond. App isn't working with the wall unit ... Very inconvenient for a paraplegic!

Has worked since day one. We have this at our vacation home in the mountains. It's great to be able to turn the heat on and off and check conditions within the home. Forget to turn the heat down when you leave, not a problem with this app. It has never crashed on me and always auto logins when opened.

Great product. I have 7 of these units -4 for my office and 3 at home. Reliability is the primary reason for using ecobee versus other products such as Honeywell and others. Easy, intuitive interface and works perfect every time.

Love Ecobee, but the app needs work. The ecobee provides several conveniences and money saving options. It's been working great for us. As someone who works from a home office, my schedule changes daily. This gives me the convenience of adjusting the thermostat for days I'm on the road and for days I'm in the office all day. There are several limitations to this app that I think could be improved upon (which is why I gave it four stars). It would be nice to change the program schedule through the app. Other than that, great device.

Update?. We need an update...iOS 8 doesn't function properly!! Loved it up until that happened!

Limited functionality, changes don't stick. Can't set a schedule from within the app. Can't use the web interface from safari as certain major features (e.g. temperature selection) are broken. Sometimes for whatever reason a hold temperature from within the app won't work. Also seems that "until next program transition" option always immediately resets to whatever the program says. As a positive, the iPhone has higher resolution and a better touchscreen, so it is an interface improvement when it works.

Good but needs some improvements. Overall this is a good product but it needs some improvements on the iPhone app side. First, it should refresh itself more often to get the current temps, etc and/or give you an option to manually refresh the data. I also frequently have issues connection via the iPhone app, keeps prompting me for login info even though I put in the correct data. And, why cannot you control the ventilator from the iPhone app or the website. If you notice you have a high humidity situation and want to kick in the ventilator at max to lower the humidity there is no way to do it unless you are physically at the home which kind of defeats the purpose of the whole "remote aspect". Also, other then perhaps some of the WIFI settings, you should be able to change / edit any and all settings that you can do at the physical thermostat itself. For vacation homes, this is the whole purpose of wanting a product such of this! I'd also like to see better control of the ventilator in relation to humidity control, it seems to have some issues there... You would think if the humidity set point versus the current humidity were off by five or six percentage points it would take more corrective action via the ventilator, it does not appear to do so... Despite my complaints I would recommend the product.

Great thermostat and app!. It's really unfortunate that so many people give this app one-star reviews because they don't have the thermostat to try it out on. We just got the thermostat installed last week, and this app makes it very easy to adjust the temperature from upstairs or from work. It does everything the thermostat itself does except for letting you view a report graph and setting up the programming schedule -- I hope these get added in a future release.

great company. I own 2 ecobee thermostats...the best!! from anywhere in the world i can see the temperature and humidity in my house. so great!! you can completely control everything from your iphone. forgot to turn off the a/c.....no problem. a very green company that really gives the consumer cutting edge technology right now!!! love it!!

Hooray!. Finally the new version adds iPhone 5 support (and generally looks much better than the last version) as well as the ability to see when the system is actually running!

Update?. Like the app, however the latest rev continually crashes back to the login screen. Full disclosure: I (still) have an iPhone 3S. I'll give it 3 stars anyway, because other than that, it's pretty good.

Ugly app. No portrait view almost impossible to manage more than 1 AC. Ugly UX

Not bad, but too basic.. The interface honestly works better than the interface on the thermostat itself. However, it's very, very basic and limited in what it can do. You can see the Temp, change the temp, and not much more than that. This app needs full functionality. All of the features on the thermostat need to be available on the app. It's a VERY powerful thermostat that is feature packed. That said, I don't want to stand in my hallway for hours playing with and learning about each feature. I want to be able to use my mobile device to remotely look at those settings when I have the free time to do so. It's the reason I bought this device. If I would have realized the mobile app was so limited, I would have considered other (CHEAPER) options.

Amazing - wish more devices had this. We installed the Ecobee smart thermostat about a year ago. It works very well. Haven't had any problems at all. And this app is terrific. Super simple and straightforward. I love being able to change my home's thermostat settings from anywhere: the office, the couch, or anywhere in between.

Few issues. The temperature jumps back to the original setting when adjusting from iPhone 4S. Very frustrating!!!!

Great Tech Tool !!. This is a great connection point to your stat and interface module. It only crashes, and won't connect if you are not getting a good wireless signal. Trust me, as a certified ecobee tech who works on these all the time...they are a great way to watch the unit history. This app. is a great feature to any iphone. The interface now has a module to control even more remotely with various inputs and outputs.

Best Thermostat on Market. Whomever wrote the bad reviews either does not know how to install a thermostat, has bad internet or router, or does not know how to use an iPhone. We are the onsite team for Apple and have three of these ourselves and have recommended them to many people. We have only ONCE had an issue. It was a denial of service attack from ecobee. Shortly afterwards, the CEO sent out an apology email. Also they are very quick at updating firmware which they do remotely. It is flawless and even emailed our HVAC TECH to schedule our maintenance.

Good interface to a great thermostat. Makes immediate management of the Ecobee programable thermostat possible from anywhere you have a cell signal! Would be nice to have more detailed control, but you can use a web browser for that. A real iPad app would be great, as would an update for iOS 4's saved state.

Huge Waste of my Time. Interface is poor on a biblical scale. Information is just about always incorrect too - it caches data on the app side and even if everything is absolutely perfect and online - it doesn't go out to the server and fetch. I usually see the last temperature and set point from the day before and can't coax it to go get new info - even with a restart. Go to press a button and it frequently swaps screens of its multi-screen interface out from under you just as you press. Having to switch back and forth between screens to get to functionality is a pain as well - that interface is sort of a cop out or admission that they just can't make it work in a reasonable manner on an iphone/ipad/itouch like everybody else. I frequently get logged off because of this - probably a couple of times a day. The log out button pops up underneath my finger just as I'm pressing something else. I have two ecobee thermostats. Things originally started out better than this but are going down hill fast. I've just given up and walk to the thermostat like I did with a $20 model. It's easier. Ecobee was a big waste of money.

The real deal. I've searched for years to find a true wifi-enabled thermostat that can be accessed from the web. I now own two Ecobees and absolutely love them. The release of this iPhone app seals the deal and makes Ecobee a "must have" device if you are even remotely concerned about your eco footprint (or monthly utility bills). The iPhone app itself works flawlessly over even Edge connections. Your thermostats will update within seconds of making an adjustment.

NEEDS UPDATE. This app needs an update for ios 8.

Very clunky and un-iOS. While I love the ability to control my thermostats from my iPhones, iPads, and Macs, the app is very clunky and the interface is NOT slick like iOS apps should be. Please give us a real native app, not this web app! The interface of the thermostat itself, while not fantastic, is way slicker than this app.

Great app. Easy to use and pair with your thermostat. I work odd hours in the medical field and couldn't use programmable thermostats because I never stick to a normal schedule. This lets me come home to a warm home anytime and I still save 30% off my previous heating costs. Paid for itself in 1 winter. It also emailed me when I was on vacation and my ac broke.

Great concept, but.... I wanted a setback thermostat that didn't require reading a manual to remember the double key presses or cryptic UI. The ecobee GUI and touch screen is generally intuitive to use. Very easy to set up a schedule on the thermostat itself. So that is a great success as my wife will be able to use it rather than constantly override the programming in our previous Honeywell models (totally defeating the purpose). The idea to be able to remotely monitor and control the stat from my iPhone was also attractive. I had a few problems getting the wireless working but their tech support was excellent and we got it working. NOW THE BIG BUT... the iPhone app does not mirror the current settings nor does it display the correct temperature. The website displays the wrong temp too. So it needs more work but has a lot of potential. I am looking forward to an upgrade that displays the correct temp and status..

Great addition to the web portal. The Iphone app is a great addition to the very useful web portal for programming the ECOBEE thermostat. I have installed 3 ECOBEE termostats and found the app to be great to monitor the temperatures at home and to do temperature adjustments "on the fly". Fan control could be a little clearer and easier to use. Some connectivity problems but no more than other apps - definitely not a show stopper and would recommend the thermostats and the app.

It works, and always has.. It works over the Internet, in a field, out in the woods.. Anywhere with a signal. I have one T-stat and have had both the app and the thermostat since the first came out, the app came out sometime after the thermostat. Have worked every time I have used it since.

Missing ventilator control. The app is missing a control to operate the ventilator feature of the thermostat. So if we are away for a extended time we can't refresh the sir in the house. Otherwise a good app.

Horrible customer support for an inaccessible application.. My comments may not be of general interest; I'm totally blind, hence use the voice over feature available in iOS. Using this app, it was impossible to make any adjustments. I wrote Ecobee tech support and they made it clear and no uncertain terms that they couldn't care less! I should mention, that my mother, though elderly can see perfectly well, but she had trouble figuring out how to make I just mints to the thermostatthis using this app also.. Needless to say, I exchanged the ecobee for a honeywell and both my mother and I are easily able to adjust all settings using Honeywells iPhone app.

Great App. I chose the ecobee thermostat when I had my geothermal heat pump installed a couple months ago. One of the main reasons I picked the ecobee was on the promise of the iPhone App. They really nailed it. This is the fastest app I have, especially considering that it needs to link up with my thermostat, or at least with their servers, I'm not sure which. I give the app 4 stars instead of 5 because the display lacks the indicator that the system is presently running, like the actual thermostat does. Other than that these guys exceeded my expectations with this app, well done and thanks.

Cool App. I use this app on my iPhone to control my Ecobee smart thermostat - which is cool. I think Ecobee should have adopted the iOS style interface instead of copying the interface from the actual thermostat (thus forcing landscape only operation). When in portrait switch up the UI! I also don't understand why an iPad version is missing, perhaps they just don't have the staff to support it yet. Overall it works well and I can control my thermostat from anywhere hence 4 stars instead of 3. Add portrait + cool stuff on iPad and get 5 stars.

Ecobee Thermostat. I have recommended the Ecobee Thermo to all of my friends because of it stylish, innovative approach to climate control. This iPhone app appears pretty well thought out and extremely easy to use but we wish we can also change & set programs. Overall; highly recommended - Go Ecobee!

Good program. Love this thermostat and use the web app often. App works great, much better than honeywell redlink equipment. I should also state that I work for an authorized ecobee distributor who is also a distributor for honeywell. I have both systems in my home. This app does however need to be updated to use the smart plug modules. The modules are great and i have one of the beta modules. Please give us module support with the apps!

No More Standing in the Hallway.. If you have the Ecobee thermostat you need this app! Much easier than punching buttons on the wall, makes standing in front of the actual thermostat obsolete. Controls every function, very intuitive.

Ipad version anyone?. Works very well and no lag problems for me, i guess it also depends on the wifi signal. I wish there would be an Ipad version with a full screen taking advantage of this to display more information, and better the overall usage rather than just the slider..

Good TStat - Poor App. I'm glad to have the exobee thermostat, as it was the only remote control tstat that would operated my complex system ..... but jeeze guys!! If you can make a great tstat, can the app to control it be ao tough? This app stinks. It locks up. I can change temp, but app remains at same temp as before. But most times it just doesnt work at all. Please update this app!!

Update - happy now, good support, install has now been sucessful. This is an update on my earlier one-star review. After much troubleshooting end at my end for the install of the thermostat I finally received a replacement unit from Ecobee and the installation this time worked without any problems. The app works well for me, in particular after changing the "Hold Action" setting in the online settings to "Ask Me" - this makes setting the hold temp with app much easier when away for either a few hours or until the next weekend. The app still seems to have the flaw that when the thermostat has no online connection, it keeps displaying the last known temperature. It does not indicate that the thermostat is off-line. So you think everything is okay, when in fact something can be wrong. I hope that this will be fixed with the next Ecobee app release, as the online report does show the status properly as connected or disconnected.

App and Wall Differ. Works great functionally, however I have 2 thermostats and the fan/cool/heat status icons do not seem to appear when controlling one of them so cannot tell if the fan/cool/or heat is actually on. Works fine on the other thermostat.

Pretty cool. We've had this system for about two months now and it's been awesome. We normally turn the temp cooler than the schedule and if we leave and forget to turn back it up, voila, use the iphone and turn it up

Ok. I just installed the ecobee thermostat. It's pretty simple to install and you won't need an A.C. Company to do it. My only complaint is there was no power supply in the box. That meant I had to run to radioshack to get a power supply. This app is pretty cool and made up for the power supply being missing. However, the application is limited. For example it won't tell you if the thermostat is disconnected from wifi like the web portal does. This led me to a high bill because I thought the system was off when in fact it was on.

Outstanding Technical Support. I have been using this application on my 2G iPhone for over a year. The application is Great!! Recently, I have been unable to connect to the server - as others have commented in this list of reviews. I contacted Ecobee Technical Support. There technical support has always been very good, including the most recent contact. Within 48 hours their Tech Support had isolated the problem - and I am back online again.

Beefreak - you can set how long a manual input is held; satellite internet is a problem. Beefreak - we have a similar situation. Note that on the ecobee itself (not on the app) you can select how long an override stays active when in program mode. I suggest you select 'indefinite'...that way the system won't revert back to schedule (and allow your place to cool down) until you next select program mode. Hope this helps. Everyone else - we use hugesnet satellite for internet, which apparently doesn't push information from the ecobee thermostat to the ecobee servers very frequently. As such, if you log on remotely before the thermostat uploads its settings, wifi turns off and you have no control over your thermostat unless you reset it. I'm working with ecobee and hughesnet for a workaround, ecobee is aware that their system is a bit clunky if you are using satellite.

Works very well. Edit sept2-14: Any updates coming? Would still be nice to be able to control smart plugs, humidifier/HRV from the app! This app works very well for basic thermostat functions. It would be very nice to be able to control my smart plugs from the app. The web portal/website isn't very iPhone friendly so using the app for more functions would be much easier.

Great device, but limited app. I just set up my smart thermostat today and I really like the idea of what they're doing and I love the idea of the iPhone app. It's a little disappointing that the app is so limited. It's great to be able to turn the stat down remotely, but I'd love to be able to turn on/off accessories and view additional sensors. In short, I'd love to have full functionality. Looking forward to updates.

Landlords rejoice!. I own several rental properties and have recently installed an ecobee in each property. I tested in one and was very impressed. Log reports and alerts add the extra piece of mind I needed and the value is great. Being able to open all my properties on one app and control them is great! Also the feature to password protect the in home tstat is much more appealing then the cheap clunky tstat lock boxes. Looking forward to more updates and more functionality!

Slower than previous version. The new version is slower than the previous version. Takes more time to connect to the server. There are various bugs : I randomly get a screen where I have to pick my thermostat and there nothing to select. I also get an error saying that it wasn't able to connect to the server. Going back to the previous version.

Ecobee thermostat. It is great. I can program the furnace fan to operate a number of minutes per hour to move the fireplace heat around, 30 minutes per hour keeps the house very comfy. You can program the system to send emails if hot or cold thresholds are met, my insurance rep thought it may save on insurance because it would let me know if the furnace had failed and save on frozen pipes, something fire alarms cannot do.

Compatibilité avec la version 4.3 du iphone. My thermostat started to bug since the update of my application?? I don't Know if it is related, but it never did that before...

ecobee for iPhone and iPod. This app is awesome! I can control my rental property heating and cooling, plus keep an eye on my daily usage with alerts! No problems to report yet, it makes my iPhone look just like my ecobee screen. Recommended

Unreliable. Adjusting the temp on the app does not always update the thermostat. If changing to 22 to 20 for example, it goes back to 22.

Great. Great to be able to set the temp before heading to the cottage.

Awesome!. I bought two of these for my rental properties and they paid for themselves the very first year, and this app is great. I can keep an eye on temperature even when I go to Europe lol!

Could be better. The App appears to be a virtual representation of the actual thermostat but is missing several thermostat features or the information is wrong. Can't program schedules. Weather 'temp' displayed does not appear to use remote outdoor sensor so is incorrect. Can't see or edit 'settings' or 'sensors" information. On the positive side, you can change the current temp setting and set the fan on or off. Since i'm using from my iPad I find the regular website interface much better as it allows all settings to be changed plus displays all sensor temps / graphs.

Really useful app. This new iPhone app is a great addition to the Ecobee thermostat. Do yourself a favor and get this thermostat - you will save a lot. With the iPhone app, I am now able to control my house heating/cooling on the go. Very simple to use, it just works! Get it.

Basic Functionality. This app has very basic functionality; cannot make changes to the programmed times. If you want that option you will need to login to the web-based site.

Buggy. Need to have some proper development and interoperability testing between both the thermostat and present version of the smart phone application. As stated in other reviews it is very buggy and slow. Several times so far I have had to reboot phone in order to get past " pick thermostat " screen. As well not all devices I have connected and accessible from the thermostat are accessible from smart phone app.

It's Ok but.... Not to bad. They should offer at least more languages for the thermostat (french, spanish??)And why can't we have an access on the IPhone to the sensors install in the house ? (ex: wine cellar). Comming soon ?

Update for iOS 8???. This app is great when running properly but since updating to the new iOS, the app isn't as polished as it once was. I'm sure it will be fine once an update comes.

Clunky. As clunky as the hardware, always need to restyle the password, very slow, loading screens every click... It's junk

Great while it lasted. Worked great for about 4 hours. Then it crashed when I switched to my second thermostat and now I can't login again. I've rebooted. I've uninstalled the app and reinstalled. All I get is a complaint about network settings after the status indicator shows that the app received the thermostat list. Great concept, poor execution.

ecobee. does not accept my password and cannot get help

Rarely works. There's about a 1 in 50 chance of app working. Everytime you try to access thermostat you get "cannot access server" error. I've called their nice CS techs several times over the past year and I continually hear we're working on it but no resolution. Bad app even when it does work it doesn't register temp changes. Great concept, poor execution.

Great app. I have been using it for almost two years now. Worth the cost just so I don't have to walk upstairs to adjust my other units. Also nice being able to cool the house down from the car when I'm coming home off schedule.

Good stuff... Coupled with the smart iq thermostat this is a very responsive and easy to use system with more customization and a lower price than the Nest. Would love to see reports built into the iOS app in a future release.

Absolutely Great app but waiting for Windows Modile 7 version. This app has been very useful and stable. The tech support is great and updates are regular. I hope the Windows Mobile 7 version will be forthcoming soon!

Great App for ecobee Thermostat owners. Now I can see if my air conditioner compressor is on or off. But I can't control my "Smart Switches"… Please add support soon….

Horrible.... Poor customer service ...did not return calls. Much better solutions available than EcoBee.

Works great!. Like the functionality of this app. The ability to turn the temp up or down from my bed is the best. Selecting and adjusting the heat or cool temp setting is a little tricky. Would be nice if it rotated to vertical orientation for single hand use too.

Meiocre. Stats are great but this app seems like a beta test. Select thermostat screen is tough to navigate if u need to scroll (we have 7 stats). When u scroll a stat can get selected unintentionally. Has mix of features but not complete feature set. Don't expect that but this app seems rushed.

Solid product + ideas for improvement. Needs iPad app version Current app version does not allow for out site temp viewing which is key for remote access/control

App Won't Connect with Thermostat. Great idea. Too bad all the app does when trying to connect is come back with an error message "error connecting to the server. Data could not be retrieved from the server. Please check your network settings. Okay." everything else works great on my iPhone4. The connect to this stat works good on my PC. Too bad you can't make the app work.

Demo Mode?. I think the people at EcoBee might have a good app & product. But I can't even test the app because I do not own an EcoBee yet. I think that the folks at EcoBee are missing the opportunity to use this app as a SALES TOOL. I think that if I could actually try the interface I might be compelled to purchase an EcoBee. Until then... I will wait.

Great but some bugs. Update to my first review (below): Looks like they fixed the first item and app now logs in automatically every time. Thanks., ecobee! Would give 5 stars if these items were fixed: -Doesn't remember user name and password. -Often times tells me server is not available. -Occasionally tells me I have exceeded my number of logins for the day and won't give me access even though it is my first attempt.

Bleh, Goodbye Ecobee, hello Honeywell Lyric.. After two months of owning a pair of Ecobee Smart Si thermostats, I'm officially done with this company, like I was with NEST before it. I gave this app a positive, hopeful four star review saying that the app needed a serious and major design overhaul, but in the two months time since then, Ecobee just sat on their laurels and twiddled their thumbs. To be honest, this app is really an ugly mess and it seems that Ecobee couldn't care less about its user experience. It doesn't use a clean iOS 7 design. It doesn't have a simple portrait view. It's not available for the iPad. And it simply takes too many taps to do any sort of function. I gave this company a chance but I'm moving on. Two months is an eternity in app years, especially for a young, growing company. So now I just got a new pair of Honeywell Lyric thermostats and not only is the hardware beautiful, but the app is gorgeous and incredibly functional. I can positively say that I'm liking it better than the NEST app, though both are beautifully designed. The Ecobee app, in contrast, isn't even in the same ballpark. Although time will tell, right now, count me as a happy Lyric owner and returned customer to Honeywell.

EB-EMS-02. does not work at all with commercial version of ecobee wifi thermostat model EB-EMS-02. contacted tech support and they said sometime in the future...

Needs improvement!. Why is this app so sketchy? I love the idea but why can't it be as dependable as the web site? There's really no excuse for the app not working especially when you're iPhone is connected and surfing the same LAN that your ecobee is connected to. I hate busting balls on free apps but if you're going to advertise it at least do everyone the favor of making sure it works! There is little to no fragmentation in apple app development and from what I'm reading in these reviews and online, it's not a localized problem. If it was worth making in the first place isn't it worth fixing? The app has gone far to long without a much needed and probably simple fix. The reason I'm even saying anything is because I turned a couple others on to the ecobee stats and now they are having the same issues.

Mostly just works. Have had to force quit the app twice. Otherwise, all works as expected.

No history. The app gives you basic information and a live reading, but Im primarily interested in the historical temperature plots like you get in the website. Unfortunately the app does not have this feature.

iPad version please. While the iPhone app is great. It would be even greater with iPad support. There is the EMS app but it does not support residential customers.

Awesome!. This app is well thought out, attractive, stable, easy to use - and free. Can you ask for more? An excellent addition to an already excellent product concept. Great work!

Hangs. Awesome when it works. It worked the first time I logged in, but now just flashes and won't connect every time I close an reopen the app. If I delete the app and reinstall, it works once then does the same thing each time I close and reopen the app.

Please Fix!!. Is not working right with IOS7. iPad does not display correctly after operating system update. Please provide iPad support for IOS7!!! Also, would like to see more features such as those when logging into the website.

Great product. I have 4 Ecobee thermostats in my home and love the new iPhone app. Ecobee made a great product even better. A+

Smart. This application would be complete if you we're able to see if unit is on from apication .. Best thermoatat by far but could use final touches and than wont be beat

Great App. Can't live without this app!! Awesome!! Great for second home. But......since the latest Apple update I can't access my thermostat on my iPhone. Is there an update coming soon?

Missing weekly programming. Just installed the ecobee SI, nice and easy. The app and thermostat work great. To get a 5th star the app needs to also be able to modify my weekly program.

Ecobee. I loved this app until it stopped "seeing" my thermostat. Any ideas on how to get the app to recognize my thermostat. I never even get a chance to logon it just says thermostat not available???

Just Installed 2 Thermostats. A 5 star product. Fantastic product that does everything it promised. My house has 2 thermostats. A heat pump that heats/cools the 2nd floor and a gas furnace which does the same for the first floor. The HVAC guy the did the work when I built the house 15 years ago was called. He was not familiar with the product but purchased two and scheduled the installation. 1. Replacing the old Honeywells and wiring the Ecobees went without a problem. 2. Setting up the two thermostats and connecting to the Internet also went without a hitch. 3. Setting up my account with Ecobee was a piece of cake. 4. Downloading the iPhone app not a problem. 5. And now the ultimate test which most of the reviews complained about was to switch between the two units. BAM. Worked perfectly. Everything works as described. Definitely a 5 star product

Laggy but works. List of things I wish they'd change: 1. Selecting the heat or cool sliders is difficult since they're so thin. 2. It's super laggy! Once I have one selected and I tap, it delays a few seconds before you see it move which makes it hard to tell if it took your input or not which sometimes results in the wrong setting being taken. 3. Minor gripe but I wish it would remember the last setting you controlled so that it doesn't always default to heat (like in the summer where I want to modify cool). Really just fix the input lag and I'll rate it 5 stars. I feel like it's worse in this update. I'm on a 4S as well.

Crash fest. When it works it is easy, convenient and well laid out. The problem is that the app frequently crashes when switching from one thermostat to another. It will briefly show the new T-stat with a current temperature reading of zero then it crashes. It has done this through repeated updates. Fix this and get more stars.

Love the EMS application useless. Our facility has more then 25 EMS units! That's over 11,250 dollars in units and they still have yet to make the app compatible with the EMS unit. Support told me this was to be completed 6 months ago. Starting to loose faith in Ecobee!

Great App. Smooth working app works good. I would love to see an iPad version. Also I spent extra money to have a remote sensor board installed would be nice to be able see status of these sensors as well as the 2 inputs when using the app.

Great thermostat...and a lot of fun. Easy to install, set up, and use. Looking forward to what Ecobee does next!

Cannot connect to server error after a week of working fine. I get the "cannot connect to server" error after it was working fine for about a week. I can connect in a standard web browser fine, just not the iphone app. I have reinstalled the iphone app and it still doesn't work. Fix this and I will bump up my review. Update: tech support said they are working it and I should force quit the app when the issue above happens. Worked like a charm. Upping the rating for good, consistent customer service.

NICE!!! Works very well, Using two smart thermostats. App was easy to set up worked first time able to control both thermostats awesome! Simple GUI However you do have more functionality on the Web portal.

Work well for me. I love this app, but I just had the thermostat added to my HVAC (June 2011), but so far it's worked perfectly

great app but lacking one thing.... This app is great, always works perfectly on all my iOS devices. however, it will not support the ecobee smart plugs which truly stinks! hopefully in a future release.

Hvac company owner. I installed one of these in my home and for a few customers. I look like sheet now because the iPhone app does not work 90% of the time!

Great app for an awesome thermostat. This app has been working great for me. I not only use it when I'm away from home, but while at home like a remote when I want to make adjustments.

Not iOS 8 Compatible. Work ok with iOS 7. Needs some design changes to make it easier to use and defiantly needs an aesthetic make over. Now that I'm using the first iOS 8 beta, it doesn't go past the login screen. Now is the time to refine the app when you add iOS 8 support.
