Good game. I like this sudoku game because all of the puzzles have a solution, even if they’re hard. It’s easy to play and has a nice look.

Sweet. Love this app. Gives me something to do in February besides the dating thing.

Great Sudoku App!. It works just as promised. I've deleted my other sudoku apps because I no longer need them.

Upgraded and now it crashes.. I used this mainly for copying newspaper puzzles. It started acting up so I upgraded to keep that feature. Now it crashes when I try to use it. Loved it until now.

Love the capture mode. I use Sudoku Magic every weekend to capture and play the Sudokus in my local, online newspaper and it works great. There is a screen that lets you verify and/or correct the app's interpretation of the screenshot image and it works great as well. It works totally as it should and I have thoroughly enjoyed it.

Very well done. Straightforward, no frills, all function, and well done. The ability to 'pencil in' possibilities (an option missing in some other Sudoku apps I've tried) is much appreciated. The ability to capture a puzzle from elsewhere via camera is neat and works well. The settings option were well thought out as well (ex. Options to turn on/off incorrect number indications, selected column/row highlights, etc.). The only problem I've encountered is that the game occasionally believes that the answer to a puzzle is 1 in every box. Other than that, I have experienced no technical issues.

Best Sudoku App I’ve Used. This is an older app that I’ve had for nearly 10 years, have solved thousands of puzzles, and, even though it’s not optimized for newer phones, it still works great! No adds, no ‘tokens,’ just unlimited puzzles. Love it!!

Capture never worked. I bought this app to capture Sudoku in the newspapers. This has not worked once. Different lighting, even different angles. Nada.

awesome awesome awesome app. i love this app. it makes sudoku very organized and very easy to understand. i like the pencil option. it assists you in the process of elimination. i would recommend this app to everyone and anyone who enjoys playing mind bending puzzles such as sudoku. ;)

Sudoku Magic Great. Bought full version of Sudoku Magic cuz I liked the lite version and also Sudoku Battle for my ipad. Very good quality puzzles, like in Japan! Photo capture is really impressive.

Capture does not work.. I'm sorry, but the scanning option simply does not work. I've tried to take a capture of my newspaper's sudoku and it simply doesn't work. And that is the reason I bought this app for. Other than that, it has preloaded games that can be played and I suppose it does a good job at that.

Best I've seen. The only complaint I have is a cosmetic one. If you don't have a retina display you might not notice

Appearance matters! Update needed.. Like many of the paid apps that eventually become free, this app has no support for Retina displays and looks horrible on an iPhone 4. For iPhone 4 owners I would recommend >Sudoku, a free app by Finger Arts.

Love it!. Great game! Love the "capture" feature. Only one suggestion - wish for a way in the library to indicate which puzzles have been solved.

Wonderful app !!. You'll have fun no matter what. The only thing I think should be changed is that the number should be out of play when you've placed them in all the correct boxes. Other than that, all smiles for this one :)

Fun App. Latest update does the bookkeeping for you on the pencil marks. Speeds up play. One suggestion: Would like to see the logic behind a hint. Then you could learn from it.

Very neat technology!. First off, this app plays a great game of Sudoku. Nice visuals (mind you, I liked the Harbor Master ones, so I guess using their designer pays off!). However, the really cool thing is the camera capture. Never seen anything like it! My friends love it too, been showing it off at school. v2.1: - The new pencil mark removal is awesome! Really nice. v2.2.1: - Glad they fixed the iPad issue!

OK, but .... The most difficult puzzles ("Extreme") are only available in the paid version, so I upgraded. However, I have been disappointed. First, it appears that there are a limited number of starting patterns for Extreme puzzles (and they are all diagonally symmetrical). Although the numbers are filled in differently each time, the puzzles feel repetitive. Second, the difficultly level seems inconsistent. Some of the Extreme puzzles seemed only moderately hard, while some could only be completed by guessing and looking for an inconsistency. There are good features, such as the interface and the capture function, so this is a good first Sudoku app. But if you are looking for really challenging puzzles, you may find it disappointing.

My daily go-to app. Endlessly different, often very challenging. I love that I can capture one out of a newspaper and not mark it up for the next person. I wonder sometimes if these are algorithmically created and sometimes reach a point of balance where you couldn't solve it without guesswork. Maybe it's just me! It happens about every 50th puzzle or so.

I use this game every day. I thoroughly enjoy this app and use it every day. It has one bug that I have found that can be annoying. Occasionally, it will let you pencil in a number in a square that already has that number pre-entered in the row or column. Otherwise it is a great app.

Sudoku scanning is awesome!. For the longest time I've wanted to be able to take a digital picture of a sudoku puzzle and get a hint to help me out. This app can do that! I'm pretty amazed. This morning I started a puzzle in the paper while eating my cereal, took a picture of it in this app, and then finished it on the train. Actually, to be honest, I didn't finish it, because frankly I'm not very good at Sudoku. But I'm pretty sure I'll be able to finish it on the way home, and if I can't this app will solve it for me! Wow.

Great job. Not sure why version history says last update was a year ago. An update was pushed to me about a month ago. I will say this has improved the capture camera function on my iPhone. I now have about 100% success rate. Before Capturing from the newspaper was hit or miss

Excellent variety of puzzles. Puzzles don't repeat. Notation works well. Challenging puzzles at hard and extreme levels. Just finished a BUG solution. First time I've seen one in an app-based sudoku.

best sudoku app. Thanks for the update which fixes the problems with the latest operating system. This is the best sudoku app by far...properly constructed puzzles (symmetrical as they should be!...unlike most other apps which should not be called sudoku puzzles).

Best but not perfect. Tried all the other expert sudoku apps this is the the best of all. Many others have better UI but are not single solution. This is not perfect, but very good. Extreme puzzles don't seem that hard. Needed fixes: landscape, iPad version, better hints. Amazing!. Amazing recognition of Sudoku puzzles + good interface to play. thanks! This full version is better in my opinion than the lite one as you get very useful redo & undo buttons.

Extremely Addicting!. This has got to be the best Sudoku app. Works perfectly. Can't stop solving puzzles. Love it!

Needs autos pencil marks. This works pretty well. Scanning from print usually works but sometimes I have to take a photo, crop it, and recognize it from library pictures. The worst thing is having to key in the initial pencil marks . I consider this task mundane. If that feature was added I would award 5 stars. Filed this several years ago, still no automatic pencil marks. Print recognition has improved however.

Highlight. This is a really good app, I love it. But one suggestion for the update is to create an option to disable the highlighted rows and columns around the selected box. Some people really like it, but I don't care for it. It would be perfect if there was a way to disable it. Please include it in the update!

What Happened?. I've had, and enjoyed, Sudoku Magic for a long time. Now it won't open. I tried downloading it again, but can't. iTunes knows I own the game and only offers the "Open" option, not Download.

Love the app; some suggestions. Love the Capture feature. Would like to see "sticky" feature for entering candidates so that the same candidate could be entered into multiple cells. Perhaps a double tap to make the number "sticky"? This would change sequence from number-cell, number-cell, etc. to number-cell-cell-cell, etc. This would really speed up the game considerably. I would also like to see a "Reset Puzzle" option.

Great app. Does all it promises and saves paper! Great for filling a few minutes between tasks or for relaxing.

Amazing, but a small problem. The app is amazing. The side notes are an extreme help, and the undo/redo ability is one of my favorites! One problem is some puzzles are bugged and only allow "1" as an answer for every single box. Other than that, I love it!

Very good - but room for improvement. I use this almost daily for my Sudoko. I like the ease of pencilling possibles and the puzzle is always fresh. No repeats. To make it better? It only presents on the iPad in vertical format. Maybe just me but i normally prefer to hold it in landscape, The hardest category usually includes an X wing or Y wing to solve but that's as hard as it gets. Could offer a tougher one sometimes. The hint tool somewhat randomly gives a missing or wrong number correction. Would be great if gave some feedback on the strategy too. I don't use it as a consequence. If stumped I go straight to the excellent Sudoku Solver by Andrew Stuart web page. If Sudoku Magic was optimized for iPad, had some tougher puzzles and integrated his tools it would be the total package!

Great app. Enjoyable way to pass time and is very helpful at catching mistakes like double entering a number.

Mr. Very good app but the gap between hard and extreme is pretty wide. Hard is too easy for me but extreme is a challenge. Sometimes too hard to solve-for me at least!

Great game. I play (several times) daily. Keeps my mind sharp, and great for seeing patterns and trends. I play extreme level, and it usually takes about 10 minutes to work out the solution

Needs refinement. Conclusion: Sudoku Grab is better Why: OCR feature - this app struggles with scanning capture puzzles. I couldn't figure out if there was a way to change the scan area which I feel is a strength of Sudoku Grab. The app frequently presented me with incomplete grids and even failed to find a puzzle from a screen grab of a puzzle created itself! Pencil marks - only come in black (SG offers red, blue & green) Rating algorithm - seems generous - extreme puzzles are not rated as difficult in SG. Overall design - what is with the font choice?

Use it all the time. I love this sudoku I Used to have the lite version but now I own the full version and I am completely happy with it!

Wow. Never seen anything like this before. Just take a picture from a book, tablet, newspaper,etc and watch the magic appear. Hit the Tag button & you have a n exact copy on your iPhone or ITOUCH. Hope to see more like this in crosswords, fill-ins, word seek, etc. To the developer WELL DONE!!!!

Great app, but ... 3.5 stars because of one issue. I'm addicted to this app and it's well designed except one one flaw: Often, but not always, the numbers that I have already solved disappear when I resume the game. The time is ticking away at whatever time it was when I paused it but the puzzle is totally blank again and I have to start over. It happens often enough that I'm considering deleting it in frustration, although I have enjoyed the game for so many puzzles that I've definitely gotten my money's worth. Fix this, and it's worth 5 stars for sudoku fans. Thank you.

Only The Best!. This is simply the best sudoku app in the store. Gorgeous graphics, easy to play, puzzle capture and automagic pencil mark removal. Look no further.

Waste. The developer have been promoting "Capture Mode" they even have a video in YouTube. My experience I tried 20 puzzle 10 from Newspapers and 10 from a sudoku book with solving results. When I try to capture them the Sudoku Magic that I owned and paid for with my iPhone 7 Plus said "Invalid Sudoku. Please amend the puzzle each time more than twenty times I have tried. Several attempts to contact the developer no reply it has been more than two weeks. Therefore please don't waste your money purchasing this game app.

Excellent. This is the best Su Doku app I have used. The camera capture is awesome. One thing it needs is the ability to auto-enter pencil marks.

Excellent sudoku app. PROS: Randomly generated puzzles ensures there's a near infinite number of puzzles. Capturing a sudoku game on your camera is a little tricky. It has to take up almost the entire width of the phone, almost completely straight, and make sure there are no shadows. When it works, it's great!!! I like the rating system, seems accurate for the most part. However when you enter the extreme levels, it doesn't seem to be as accurate. A 14,087 rated puzzle is much easier than a 8,558 rated one. CONS: Needs game center support, challenge friends to a puzzle and see who completes it the fastest. Add a bigger penalty for hints for multiplayer. Ability to edit the tag for each puzzle. Ability to delete puzzles from the library. Coloring feature would be nice.(color specified square a shade of color) Highlighting feature would be nice. (selecting a 1 and all the solved 1's are highlighted or enlarged)

Nice. Good app. I was always intimidated by Soduku and never knew how to play it. This app taught me how by starting on easy puzzles and working up. Recommend.
