Fantastic app, poor quizzing system. This is an excellent app with one moderate flaw: the quizzes. It gives you multiple choice and sticks a pin in the structure. However, it rotates the image around and you cannot twist it to a direction of your liking. For example, it may ask you to identify the capitate, but give you a lateral or inferior view of the carpal bones, making it incredibly difficult to see. This can be troublesome for those just learning anatomy. The rest of the app is incredible though, and worth every penny.

Amazing tool for any anatomy student!. As a student in a massage therapy program, anatomy is something I have to learn inside and out. This is by far the most comprehensive tool I've seen to study the systems of the body when I can't quite have my book in front of me (like on my breaks at work). I'm a very visual learner and the 3D capability is astounding! This tool gives so much information and makes learning quick, easy and fun! Thank you so much for this application as well as the others!!

"Rattling". What can I say? This is the application I have been looking for! Definitely worth $0.99. It is a bit complicated to control at first, yet time compensates that con. Recommended? Yes! I certainly found this to be helpful and fascinating...........

Great app for bone anatomy. This apps helped me tremendously for my anatomy class. It really helps me visualize where every bone is in relation to others and other than owning a skeletal model, this is the best!

Great 😃. It's a great app for any medical student or professional. I like the way it has a pronunciation feature since anatomy terms can be hard. Also the ability to rotate and see different angles of bones is amazing. I am very happy for purchasing this app 😄.

Great but # III is better. I bought this to use in my practice. I'm a physical therapist. It's great for showing patients the structures you're working on - if you don't have a full size skeleton. I really wish 3D4medical would make a full body app with all layers (bones, ligaments, muscles, organs, nerves……)

Awesome App!!. This app is an amazing study tool! I've been using this app for a month now to help me study for my anatomy and physiology class. Just has my first midterm lab exam and did very well thanks to his app. The ability to create your own pins and create notes on any pin is very useful. You can also make/see the notes public. It also has a quiz feature that is incredibly useful, although it could benefit from a little more variety in the questions. Overall this is powerful learning tool and well worth the low cost. Every A&P student should get this app!

Bravo!. Thank you for this stunning app. It is easy to navigate and loaded with information. The graphics are top notch and I love being able to rotate the views (I find it responds best when you use two fingers to rotate). The index and search are comprehensive and thorough. Find your term, touch it and you are taken directly there with the ability to drill down further. If I were a med student now, I wouldn't be caught dead without this app.

Great for Independent Study even at the Elementary Level. I was a bit unsure of how this might work with my 5th grade students on the iPhone screen: would the images be too small for my students to view and manipulate? Would it be too advanced for my students? Would the quiz questions be too hard for them to answer? No! No! No! The images were fine and students had no problem with zooming and manipulating the skeletal images. While some of the quiz questions were challenging; my students actually enjoyed the task. Quiz questions could be multpie choice or drag and drop. Most importantly students received Immediate feedback Make no bones about it this is one amazing educational tool!

Setting the standard !. Great to see developers come out with tools that are productive applications. Have seen lots of iPhone applications that are fun to use and even some half decent reference tools- But this is the the first I have found that is a serious interactive productivity tool for anatomy. As a medical educator I will recommend to all my salespeople as a reference tool. Easy to use, love the Latin names, quiz section is terrific. Love the way the index works and zooms out and then back in to focus on the bone or ligament identified. Don't know who these guys are but hope publisher comes out with titles on other subjects and systems.

Super impressed!😁👍👍. Works great on iPhone 4S. You can uncheck landmarks you don't need and only check what you need to learn for class. You can see each bone at virtually any angle in awesome quality. A+++

Such a great App for people that like visuals. I like looking at things from all perspectives and angles and this app really helps with that. I love the pins and the little games you can play. Such a fantastic app. I wish I could type In certain things I needed though and have like 5 or 6 pins at one time that I need specifically instead of all the related pins. Great app nonetheless and very helpful!

Great App!. This is a great app! The quiz mode is really helpful if you are a student. It's helpful that I can select only the pins that I want to focus on. It is well worth the money.

Great work so far, but still more is needed. The app is very good on quality images and completeness. However, it can be much more versatile and useful if customization is allowed. With this I mean being able to study bones individually or on a structure that does not remove the pins every time it is rotated. It would be very useful if separated bones could be colored or highlighted somehow. If I am studying one bone I want to be able to see how is it connected to the others and additional shape without loosing it, for example... Also allowing personalization that is kept after the app is closed... Yesterday I selected the bones I needed to study and when I went to review them today, I noticed all my pin selections were deselected and I saw everything all over again... Because the App closed. The quizzes are very good once it is personalized...

Dr. A. I'm a doctor specializing in family practice. This is a great and easy tool to show my patients in a simple to understand, 3D format the general anatomy of their bodies and how their ailments coorelate to the different body parts. And, having the ability to keep this tool in my pocket so I can use it in any setting (home, office, hospital, clinic, etc.) is very useful. My patient's love it!!!

Great anatomy reference. I used this as a study aid for my anatomy class and it was wonderful being able to manipulate the skeleton in three dimensions… Bottom Line its as good as you can get without going into the cadaver lab!!

It serves as an ideal learning resource for biomedical students and an invaluable reference source for experienced medical personnel. The ‘zoom in’ views are highly detailed and full of practical information with a quiz to facilitate identification of skeletal parts. It makes learning fun.

Wow!. This is a million times better than the previous version. I'm on a 3GS and I haven't had any issues with performance. I purchased both Nova apps and I'm 100% satisfied. Wish had this during my undergrad.

Best Pre-Med app. i bought this app for my A&P class and it has been a life saver. I have to wait hours in line to borrow the bones at the library. Ever since i bought this app i get to study any time, any where and in a few simple clicks. Best part is i can leave that huge textbook at home because all the parts are labelled. and i love that you can cut up the bones in pieces and study up to the last details. and i realized that many things are not visible on the real life models but they did a very good job here.

Great Reference for both Med and Art Students. I use both this and the muscle system app all the time in the studio as references when drawing from the live model. Also, the 'quiz' feature is a great way to test your knowledge and see how much you *really* know. These guys make great apps!

a few problems but mostly good. only 2 problems I encountered... 1. in quiz mode if the body part to be identified is too long of a word, it leaves off the excess. 2. the magnification is sometimes not enough to separate certain flags (mainly in the inferior view of the skull) therefore making some flags impossible to select. but other than that, I've enjoyed this application very much.

Great graphics and level of detail!. Great graphics, good level of detail, and nice zoom and information features. This is a great tool if you need to be learn the bones of the body. Should be great for fitness trainers and as an aid in injury identification and treatment options. Well worth the cost.

Best Skeletal System App - Anatomy Student. I'm actually taking Anatomy & Physiology in college. This app is very helpful to me in my studies for the tests. I recommended it to everyone that is interesting in learning how is our body in the inside.

Money for Visual Learners. If you are a visual learner you will benefit greatly from this. The major 'groups' of bones can be manipulated to be viewed in superior, inferior, lateral, medial, anterior, and posterior views along with adequate views for the major ligaments. This is a fantastic learning tool- one that will indubitably improve your anatomy course grades. It is not completely inclusive of all the ligaments, but this is not Ligaments System Pro :P Check it out and use it like a flash card on your iphone. So far pretty impressed. I bought this app yesterday to help me study for my A&P practical on the skeleton system coming up next week; so far it is pretty impressive. I agree wiith the other reviewer that discussed the problem with the pin drop option that needs to be fixed. In addition, in the quiz section of the app, I would like it if you could re-play (or slow down) the movement of the skeleton as you manipulate the image to access the desired anatomical part for each quiz question, as sometimes I lost track if the bone was rotated up or down.

Top Application..!. This 3D skeleton application that is quite simply the one of the best applications currently available on ITunes. This is the most accurate and sophisticated skeletal system app, with excellent 3D graphics and a delightful interface. It’s simple to use and a must for all health care students and professionals alike. It can be used by those beginning their studies into anatomy - right the way through, to consultant level. Be dazzled by the 'life-like' images that explain the skeletal system like no other application or text book can do. Why spend £20-£30 on a text book when you can have this at a fraction of the cost and more importantly, right to hand on your Iphone/Touch device. This is an excellent learning tool to be used with patients to assist in explaining diagnosis/treatment and rehabilitation. With that in mind, this is also a 'must have app' for those involved in sport injury rehabilitation..ie coaches, physio's etc. The unique labelling system (flag's) helps to accurately identify bone parts and bone areas. Not quite what it’s chalked up to be. User interface prevents you from seeing the answers and picture in quiz at the same time. Terms didn’t necessarily match textbook.

Skeletal System Pro II. This app saved my life this semester! It is great for anyone trying to memorize bones of the skeletal system. If you are taking some sort of Anatomy and Physiology class I would most definitely recommend this app. It has great graphics and visuals.

Applications need to be updated for ios11. Please i need help i cant open the apps the muscle pro and this one and i really need it, please thank you!

Great but with a few issues.. Bought the app to help me with anatomy; however, I have not been looking around too much, and I can already see some parts are missing; the drop pin function while helpful needs a lot of work because the app will zoom out when you try to place a pin somewhere, this makes it very hard to place the pin correctly where you want to label a part. Finally the app needs some fixes on how it rotates from one side to another, and also one should not have to place the body part squarely centered for you to see the labels. Hoping for fixes. Thanks.

Awesome!. We use this and Muscle System Pro 3 on ipads in my anatomy class. It makes learning the bones and landmarks so much easier than flat pictures in books. Great job guys!

Great!. I'm not exactly in pre-med, only in eighth grade, but I find it a great way to study and learn the specifics of the bones, and look closely at them. It's a little slow to load between each change but it's completely worth the money. Great app

Not just for the medical world... ANIMATORS:Get this!. This is not just an app useful to those in the medical profession. For folks like myself who draw, animate, illustrate, etc. for a living, this is a terrific reference for all your anatomy questions, problems, and figurarative-based image making projects. The biggest problem we see in art education today is folks coming in who simply cannot draw or draw well enough - particularly, the human figure. We waste a lot of time and money sending students into remedial classes to punch up their drawing skills enough to qualify for entrance into a university art program or vocational track that, for example, would train an artist well enough that they might work in animation and the film industry. Scanning and tracing will not cut it, people. You need to be able to draw from sight and draw the human figure well enough to be useful to a variety of employers - in both entertainment and education not to mention other industries. THIS is an app that definitely will help you.

Needs to be de-bugged. Great app to learn and study from. I am in a Forensic Anthropolgy class and this app really helps to study for test. Only problems would be that its hard to select the pin button and when you are on the app for a while it shuts down on its own. Its worth the money but be sure to be ready to get frustrated when it shuts down on its own. PLEASE makers of this FIX this soon!! Thanks!

Excellent. This is excellent and definitely beats out Netter in every way. The only thing I would love to see different, is the option to tilt the desired structure in any direction, from any angle that I want, with the motion of my finger, instead of only superior and inferior, posterior, lateral and anterior views, with a swipe. Total diagonal twisting and turning should be added.

Fantastic. Very complete, the 3D is awesome to accurately understand the position, size and depth of muscle tissue. Far better than the 2D illustrations in my anatomy textbooks. I'm an LMT and this app has been great to show my clients and explain whats going on in their bodies. I also discovered muscles that weren't included in my anatomy training. One has now even been added to the curriculum for the trigger point/injury class at the school :). I do wish it had more details on ligaments (but the bone version provides that). Oh! And maybe listed opposing muscles in the descriptions, that would be really cool. Runs slow on my old 3GS, but I think it's been a fair trade for the update. And I suspect it won't be an issue when I upgrade to 4S.

Very nice!. This is a really great app, and the graphics are amazing! Only problem I have is that I can't seem to exit out of the quiz portion without closing the app completely. Any suggestions? The graphics are so very realistic that it would really be good on an iPad if you have one. But an iPhone is sure handy. Some suggestions on development would be to have an option of just identifying bones without all the pins. Beginners find it a little intimidating sorting through all the marking of the entire body! But I'm looking forward to using this on muscles and neural system soon.

Nice, very nice. Just dl this for pure curiosity and is extremely well done. Wish it didn't have to load every time I select a different body part. Also to the verizon customer, this was an expensive app, try to read the information section before you complain about something that is plainly stated. Like I say it costs absolutely nothing to pat attention.

excellent app. I made a mistake: I bought the iPhone app instead of the iPad app. But I don't regret it. I bought the app to have images to provide explanations to my patients, and for that purpose excellent: no need to buy the iPad version that cost more.

Very good review of the skeletal system.. I was provided a demo copy as the TA for a medical school anatomy class. I would recommend that students consider purchasing this app for exam review, but to try out the cheaper version first. Controls are intuitive, and many views are provided. The quiz mode is good, but be warned that the interface gets a little sensitive when switching views, often interpreting swipes as answers. The index only searches the beginning of words, but does have both an English and Latin database. Selecting a feature in the index will zoom out of where you are and zoom back to where the selected point is; which is a nice way of relating anatomical landmarks to each other. However, it will do this even if the selected point is already in view, which could make things tedious if looking for many things. Ligaments are shown for some views, but no muscle insertion or origin. Another view I appreciated was a see through view of the external anatomy that shows where the bone is located. It won’t replace an anatomy book, but could replace paper flash cards for review.

So far, so good. I'm a nursing student and find this very useful, but I would like to see a few enhancements. 1. The ability to set the quiz to only bones &/or ligaments. 2. Increase the # of questions in the quiz. 3. Provide a detailed report of the completed quiz. 4. Have a tutorial about the skeletal system/ligaments. These improvements would make it a more effective learning tool.

Best skeletal app available. This app is amazingly detailed... which is exactly what I need for anatomy studies in my exercise science/physiology degree. It covers absolutely everything... bone landmarks, ligaments, cartilage, etc. All of this is shown in photorealistic 3D on the screen, and then has pin points that you can click on to give you a detailed write up about each. Seriously amazing app!

Not satisfied !!!!. After using other great apps of 3D4 medical like “ess anatomy4", this app is poor in resolution, navigation is not smooth,interface is not friendly,pins disappear when we change view to see from different angle and many other improvememts are needed.

3D Bones skeleton. This is excellent for testing your knowledge and also for finding out what you don't know. When it first came out, you could not get the flags in magnification and they were too close together. That has now been rectified and the application is fantastic.

Yet another wonderful visual experience.. I tried this application after I was blown away by Imuscle, and it didn't disappoint.

Who needs a text book?. My anatomy unit consists of all the muscles and its nerve supply and its major blood supply. This is what i use to study for the unit. I purchased both nova apps (skeletal and muscular) for both iPad and iPhone. When I study I use the iPad, for quick reference i use the iPhone. The fact it has all the ligaments and cartilage joints is even brilliant. The layered approach is extremely useful, coupled with the multiple views and manual rotation, its aid is immeasurable. It would be perfect if the nerves could be integrated into the muscular app and even more so, the muscles and nerves added to the skeletal app, and eventually the whole nervous system along with the digestive, lymphatic and reproductive systems. All of which can be purchased as in app purchases on the initial skeletal app. This has replaced my text book almost entirely, leaving the anatomical positioning of the nerves and vessels. Keep up the good work and hopefully this becomes a complete human body application

Excellent! Must Get!. Great app I am a kinesiologist and I use this app all the time. The 3 dimensional views helps clientele with what is going on in their body be it ligaments bones etc... I have some of the other anatomy apps but none as high quality as this. If you havent gotten it yet get it!

Crashes and freezes!. I updated my iPhone, and now this app crashes every time I open it under the new iOS. Can you please fix the bugs, as I use this all the time for my anatomy class. It's a fantastic app otherwise. Five stars after the bug is fixed.

VeRiZoN. I am very upset that this does not run on verizon. I did not see the thing under NOTE that this app does not work under verizon. The little tab for NOTE was folded up hiding that it does not run on Verizon. I guess all I can do is be grateful that I did not spend $20 on it. VERIZON USERS DON'T BUY!!!!

Could be so much better. The visuals are great... But the app would go from being ok to great if you were able to remove bones or better yet look at bones individually. It's annoying trying visualize the carpal bones of the wrist when it's clumped in with the forearm humerus and shoulder

BROKEN. This app is so co but I can't make my own pin list. I don't need every single name just the ones required for my anatomy. When I go to "my pins," the game crashes. How am I supposed to set my own custom pens?
