What is ifunctiongenerator app? iFunctionGenerator turns your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch into an audio function generator.
You can have up to 20 generators, each operating at a different frequency. Each generator can be one of the following types:
• Sine Wave
• Triangle Wave
• Sawtooth Wave
• Square Wave
• Pink Noise
• White Noise
The volume of the left and right channels can be independently controlled, and may be set using either a slider for ease, or direct entry of the volume, for maximum precision. The relative phase of each channel may also be set.
Frequencies from 1 to 20,000 Hz may be entered. The phase can vary between -360 to 360 degrees. The volume may be between 0 and 100 percent.
The mute button makes it easy to quickly silence the audio generators.
You can take snapshots of the generator settings. This lets you build a library of settings, and quickly load the desired settings.

Somewhat buggy, but finally got it to work.. Initially, I had an issue with turning on and off the channels on this application (I was trying to simulate a phone ringing). It would be nice if the app provider put a "mute" button on the application, and possibly, a slider/function for turning off/on the noise at periodic intervals. There also does not seem to be any about or info screen for this application.
Easy. Easy to use and adjust.
It does what I need it to do ... and very well.. I needed a simple stereo frequency generator to produce two closely spaced audio sine-wave frequencies in order to demonstrate the “binaural beat” capability of our human minds to perform a differential frequency analysis of two discrete audio signals and present the differential to us. This app does a beautiful job of this. I took one star away because it does have a minor bug of occasionally locking-up (which killing and re-opening it fixes), and the physical interface is real easy for me to “fat finger”. In summary, this app has both the precision and the flexibility to do exactly what I need it to do, and I am very grateful and pleased to have found it. BTW: The app produces discrete left and right signals with no mixing ... IF you are taking the signals directly out of your phone’s earphone port. If you are listening to the output via a bluetooth device, then you are going to hear a whole bunch of channel mixing. This is not the app’s fault.

does NOT work as stated. 1. VERY poor stereo seperation. Left and right tones bleed together. 2. Cannot generate different waveforms for left and right channels as stated. A non-functilnal waste of money.

Release update: multi-tasking!. Awesome App! I use it to make my own binaural beats. The only major issue I have with it is that you can't multi-task. Please please please fix this!
