Terrible. Couldn't get anything to work it says connected then receives the invite and think I'm on a call but no sound is sent or received... Linphone is free and works with the same sip provider although lag is really bad... Thought this 5$ app would be the cadillac and it doesn't even call..WASTE of money

Works well with Vonage. Works very well with Vonage. Excellent support from developer. Would lose authorization every so often but i suspect it was related to weak wifi signal at the time.

One the best sip app on the store. I hardly write any review on the app store just because I believe they don't deserve my time, but this app deserve to be rated. The application is solid and reliable. The voice quality is amazing with a very latency and now with push. Keep up the good work.

Could be better. The version of WeePhone 1.4.4 is SIP software that is carrier independent and is, thus, a stand alone SIP client. The issue is that even when you set up the correct values into the settings panel for the SIP provider, the software will sometimes refuse to register with the SIP service even when it previously worked. So, it continues to say 'Logged in: no'. This software desperately needs a login button to force registration to the phone system. Instead, when it gets into this non-registering mode, there is no way to force the software to try again. I have restarted the app as suggested and I I have even completely rebooted the Touch and it still refuses to connect. The software desperately needs a reset button to clear out the settings to start over. Whenever this non-register mode appears, there's no way to easily clear it out this condition and get the software to register with the SIP service.

Can't be used with Vonage. I bought this application since I expected it – based on the description – to work with Vonage. Well, it requires the Vonage SIP password to work, however, Vonage does not give the SIP password to their customers. I contacted Vonage support and asked for it and they said that they don’t give it to their customers for security reasons. Don’t buy this app if you want to use it with Vonage. I paid money for nothing.

Awful. It originally took me quite a while to figure out how to configure this for Gizmo5 (I did a *lot* of Googling and experimenting). The connection is unreliable and many times the calls simply don't go through (even fring works more reliably once it has logged in). Sadly, the end user documentation is atrociously poor and the user interface is decidedly ugly. About the only positive is the superior audio quality over fring, but that's about it. Based on its overall reliability, there is no way I can recommend this dreadful app. Spend your money on something else.

Works well. Works well. Be careful in setting up the Settings. Like most VoIP apps, it is a bit tricky. There is VoIP setup terminology on most any VoIP app that many people are not familiar with using. Once configured properly, it worked like a charm. (It took me three tries to get it right.) The audio is excellent on wi-fi and is reasonably good on 3G. I use it on Callcentric's VoIP service. I have a wired VoIP phone on my desk. I use WeePhone mostly as a cordless phone around the office but find it also works well when out of the office and traveling. All in all, this was $4.99 well spent.

Works - more reliable then fring!. This app works perfectly. The UI is "very PC" minded and they could have done a better job with the look&feel as well as simle features (like saving pref for handset vs. Speaker), but most apps just are not reliable for SIP. This one TOTALLY WORKS, without lots of configuration with very good voice quality.

Fisrt app that won 4 stars. I have used many voip apps from apple store and weephone is simply amazing. No words to discribe how good this app it's. Voice not comparable with other apps using wi fi connection with my Sipgate account. Developer response right on, I hope I can rate another app with  stars. Good work. Thanks.

Need a lot improvements. - multi sip accounts support needed - copy paste bug fix needed - SMS feature needed - time out alert off needed - codec 729 wanted - multitasking feature required - voice mail feature wanted - pc like UI design hated - google voice integration needed I wish you be one of the best sip clients in app store :)

Great app. Works great for me. Low latency, the best voice quality I've heard.

Works well with Voicepulse. I have been using Voicepulse for years, and was using softphone software on my laptop when away from home. But after using WeePhone, the quality is better than expected, so my laptop is just for computing now! I've tried the softphone apps for windows mobile and didn't see them as usable, so was suprised that WeePhone on the iPhone had such good quality.

No sound. No sound after answer

Outbound Audio Problem. I am connecting to my asterisk server. I can hear inbound audio, but the caller on the other end cannot hear me. I have several other SIP clients that do not exhibit this problem and I noticed another reviewer mentioned the same problem for version 1.4.3. I'll rerate once this is addressed.

Audio quality is unbeatable. Clearer than most other VoIP apps.

Does not work in background!. I tested this app, it will ring only if the app is open and in the foreground. It will not notify you if it's in the background. I did change the push settings, but it did nothing. If you want a SIP client that works and will notify you even if it's in the background download Fring,they just updated the app to include this feature. PS I was using SIpgate, not sure if that mattered.

Not user friendy. The sound quailty is ok. But this app is not user friendly and incomming call rings are too low.

Finally, an open (Asterisk, etc) SIP phone!. Author is very responsive to bug reports and enhancement requests.

About Time. Yippie! It's about time someone did this. I have had an account with vonage for some time now and always wished I could use it for my cell phone. Your app is the answer to my dream.

VPN?. This app works great on Wifi. It connected right up to my asterisk server. I did notice some bugs when typing the settings as I couldn't get rid of the letter menu after I was finished, but overall for a 1st version it is pretty good as a basic sip client. I could make and receive phone calls. The reason I am giving this a 3 rating is because I was hoping it work through the VPN. The other sip client (sipphone for iphone) which is more expensive does work with the built-in iphone Cisco Client, but it falls short with the L2TP/IPSEC VPN client. If you could get this app to work through the built-in VPN clients (both built-in Cisco and built-in L2TP/IPSEC), this app would rock and be exactly what I need.

Improved. I couldn't figure out how to add my account, but found instructions in the more > getting started section.

Great. Great voip app works wonderful, now with multitasking it is even better.

Fail with 3cx. This device does not work with 3cx. Fring works fine, this fails to register. Also crashes when flipping phone to landscape, and settings screens are barely usable bc keys cover fields. Only 2 stars bc the interface is not ugly like other sip phones.

Works great with freepbx/asterisk. Works great, only wish it would clear the most recent dialed number if you start typing a new one.

It works. But may not be the best out there. There are better SIP/VOIP iPhone apps out there: Acrobits Softphone is my recommendation. This app works. The audio is OK. But it has an ugly user interface, and confusing and un-helpful settings. It only supports a single account. While capable, there just isn't anything compelling about this inelegant app. Pay the $3 more for a better one and be happy. I have no relationship to ANY app company except being a customer, by the way.

Why it is so ugly. I always wonder why some developers completely destroy the usability and design aplication by ugly design - why do you not go with standard apple design rules, colors, fonts, settings in settings panel etc., if you would just simply copy the default apple phone app design, plus add SIP as (optional/prefered) way to call, everyone would thank you and buy this application. PLEASE!

Nice Application for My Needs. The app worked as advertised. Since I already had a softphone configured on my PowerBook, the configuration was essentially a copy. My only issues are the interface which could use some work and the lack of a log to record call progress. The later is more a wish since I didn't need it yet but based on experience of will come in handy I'm the future.

Much better than iSip... Recommend - not perfect, but better than others. Performance on this app far exceeded that of its competition iSip. User interface could use a little more work, but no doubt on future releases it will improve. The heart of the issue is performance. After having issues with another softphone, this one works well with an Asterisk PBX, and my callers report that it sounds much better. If you're looking for a SIP client to use with Asterisk or Trixbox, I would recommed you try this app

I <3 WeePhone!. The 3rd app I tried. So simple to set up, and it actually worked! Too bad I wasted $17 on Groundwire and Bria first...

Great Product. It was easy to setup my Gizmo5 account and it worked right away. I tried another product, Sipphone by VNE Corp and nerver could get it to work, WeePhone was the best purcahse for me.

Yay 3g support. Finally working on 3g!

Works fine, best VoIP client for iPhone. I use it all the time to connect to my Asterisk server. It saved me a fortune avoiding long distance calls. It's flexible and resourceful for those who know how to use it. It allows port customization to evade 3g carrier blocks. It has a DNS solver to conect to dynamic IP alias. I would like to see a run on the background functionality in the future. Best money ever spent on applications! Keep up the good work :-)

Does NOT work with Vonage!. Despite the fact that the developer of this app specifically mentions Vonage in their literature, this software does NOT WORK with Vonage.

Waste of money.. I have a Vonage soft phone account. Does not work with it like they say it will. Instructions to set it up are non existent. Waste of money. Sorry I bought this app.

The biggest waste of money app on the app store. I can't get this working with iiNet or Internode SIP services. Billion ASDL/VOIP works fine with both iiNet and Internode VOIP, and so does Acrobits Softphone on my iPhone 3GS, so its safe to assume I've got the right settings and the app is not worth it.

works well for me. this app works great for me on iiNets naked dsl voip service. Occasionally have issues with dtmf tones not working (like when i call my bank).

Not bad.. Its hard for me to judge weather its my SIP provider or the prog thats causing me troubles but I seem to get a great deal of echo for my internal SIP and external SIP provider. I have to revert to my desk ip phone for my trix box at work most of the time which is a shame. I find it hit and miss.

Problems hearing call destination. I experienced intermittent issues on several networks with the recipient of a call hearing OK, but no audio coming back. In testing two other apps, did not have any issues with iSip or Acrobits Softphone with the same configuration, on the same networks. Consequently, I won't be using Weephone. Voip provider is Iristel.

Won't work with my sip provider. G729 not supported by this so it is useless for me. Won't work with freephonellone

Works OK but interface is hard to see. The sound quality to my local Asterisk server is excellent using an old 2G iPhone, however I find the buttons and text fonts used to be small and hard to read. I would prefer an interface similar to the regular phone. I do like the ability to set the Media/RTP port. So in summary the function is good but the interface is substandard. I look forward to the next version with an improved UI.

Déception.. Il fonctionne quant il lui veut. Quand on reçois un appelle il sonne mais impossible de répondre 1 fois sur 2 on manque l'appelle. Il tombe en time-out quand il change de réseaux... et on ne reçois plus les appelle. J'ai acheter un autre logiciel qui fonctionne mieux. 5$ de perdu.

Doesnt work with vonage. Vonage refuse to give their sip number so, this app is not working with Vonage.

Works great! (sort of...). UPDATE: I'm currently having an issue with DTMF. When I dial into any automated menu systems, I push the keypad but the other end does not get anything. I know it's not an issue with my SIP server, because all my other iPhone SIP clients work fine. Not the best looking application, but after trying iSip and Acrobits Softphone I'm sticking to this one.This application has been solid. Great call quality and great sip phone. I like the echo cancelling level you can set in the config, this is an option when using speakerphone. Gizmo5 set up is easy, just goto the developers site for settings.

Works OK. Works well enough, I guess. Would be better if the browser was more usable. I would love to use voice central with this app, but the browser window is crap. Needs update.

Works great!. webkms this works great with a Vonage softphone (which you need for this app to work with Vonage). Works perfect and I love it! Setup was a snap and I was making calls in no time. All you need is an SIP or for Vonage, a softphone account for $10.00 a month.

50-50. The push if it is coming it is usually late. If you use call back with google you need to switch back from google voice dialer to this one to get the notification. Maybe my network is slow. I will keep testing.

I don't like it. In the settings you can't use copy and paste. A bug makes the copy and paste commands disappear within a second. I entered my settings correctly and it still would not login. Not impressed.
