Brilliant, but needs work.. The main problem with this app is, it's not nice. It looks great, but its too complex. I figured it out in a few minutes, but computer idiots like my mom couldn't figure it out in a million years. Some people just don't speak that language. You should make an "idiot proof" mode, where to make a conference server is a button push, no boxes of random numbers (those especially scare tech idiots), and all you need is a user name. Type in someones user name and you join their room, simple as that. Just go through your app in your grandma's shoes or something, look for things that might confuse her and make them easy. Otherwise, this app is great, it just works. Keep up the great work!

Same problem. I'm having the same problem. I bought the app but can't install it. iTunes says it can't verify the program.

Sweet app. My boyfriend and I use this app to keep in touch. He will be in France another 4 months. There is a slight echo but I found that it was not as bad if you hold the phone slightly away from you. I love it!

Bought it but won't install. Has anyone else had this problem. I bought the WalkieTalkie VOIP APP via my iPhone (1st generation, 8 GIG, running 2.2 iPhone softare). When i downloaded it directly, a screen dialogue box appeared that said, " Unable To Download Application" "WalkieTalkie VOIP will be availble to download when you log in to the iTunes Store on your computer". Which i did, and then synched and then received a dialogue box that said, "The Application WalkTalkie VOIP could not be installed the iPhone because it could not be verified." Has anyone else had this problem? Any clues or help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Dont waste your money!. Donate $2.00 in the church for poor, please do not buy this application! I have no clue how apple can approve such useless paid applications! very poor gui. no stright forward option for voip user setup. download free application like fring and user their SIP option. This does not allow me to configure my sip server settings!!!! on top of that some franatic SOB placing calls to my account!!!!

Ripoff. Does not work. Don't waste your money. Should have option of zero stars or below.

Good.... But..... This is a good app, but it would be perfect if it gets push notification with OS 3.0. I'll re-submit my review (to 5 stars) if push gets implemented.

Best chat app. Super easy and quick voice chat app with really low latency and no need to pay any fees. Great for talking with friends on the phone or over the computer.

The most useful app overseas.. International calls are very expensive, but this program def. Is worth it because 2 dollars for a clear phone call anywhere is the best deal in the world! Plus great support if you ever need help with the program and very quick response! If you are looking to call overseas consider this you greatest asset!

Best 2 bucks I ever spent. A completely FREE (after the two bucks) way to talk to my friends and family no matter where in the world they are! Money well spent.

Excellent!!!. This is app amazing. Easy to setup and use. Highly recommended for people on the go. A laptop or iphone with a wifi connection (which is free in a lot of places with ATT), and you're good to go. The ability to use this app over EDGE and/or 3G would be nice, although ATT or Apple would most likely frown upon that. All in all, not too shabby. Not too shabby at all.

Having Trouble Loading it. Application looks neat but when I try to load onto my iPhone I get a msg saying it was not loaded because it could not be ''verified" ??

Tiny Disruptor. This little app carries big implications in its proof of concept, current version. My son in Germany called me (in the US) on his Touch yesterday. Free and clear. My Monster Cable mic is on order. Cheap and simple. The developer is within spitting range of a killer app. Can't wait for 2.0.

Problem - not staying on. The only problem i have with this software is that it kicks you out after 60 seconds, then I lost contact, please fix it on the settings or something

Bad stuff. Waste of time and money. This app should work when you have a 3 G connection to the Internet. If it connected via 3g it would be better. If this app also ran in the background like the iPod on my iPhone it would be a great app. What I want is like a nextel walkie of ip. Perfect app if those changes were made.

WT is Awesome!!!. Works great! I love it! I talk to my husband when we're apart. Sounds great and is helpful when u don't want to use too many minutes up. I love that there isn't a fee, too!

Same Error as mentioned before.... I had high hopes for this APP however I cannot even rate/try it! It will not install onto the iphone. It told me to dl it from the app store, when I did it told me the phone could not be verified. I totally threw away my money. Don't buy it until it is fixed! Hopefully it will work then...if it does, I will change my rating. For now, do NOT BUY until it works on 2.2. I am guessing the problem is within there.

Great app, does exactly what it's supposed to.. I use VOIP on a daily basis to call friends overseas on their computers. I've been waiting for an iPhone application that will allow me to make those calls without having to carry my laptop around. WalkieTalkie is a great solution, good sound quality and no lags allow for hassle-free and reliable conversations. The only thing to keep in mind is that the party you are calling needs to have WalkieTalkie installed on the device they're using but there are versions for Windows and Mac available for free.

Great voice quality. This is a app worth buying. The developer is very responsive. If you looking for real time communications using your Internet connection to talk with friends then this is a must have app.

App is working, but the sound on the iPhone is too low, to have normal conversation.. Is it going to work through Internet?

cant even run it. I first tried to download from my iPhone then it told me to download from my computer and install from a sync I did this and then it said cant verify ( what ever that means) I would like to try this and get my moneys worth I'm not vindictive so please fix.

Great start!. I was worried after reading the negative reviews, but this app works well for me. I had it up and running in about a minute, and I love that no server is required, so get it while you can, before the powers that be realize how useful it is. It's simple at the moment, but is a great start and deserves more support.

Works!. I was finally able to get the 2 ipod touches to see each other took several hours. Instructions are poor not updated. Once connected to each other was not able to hear each other at either end. Emailed developer for help. 3rd generation iPod requires headset. I was able to hear on 4th generation. I maybe too close in testing there was much static between the two. A step closer! Excited. I can see this working on a trip. Had to turn sound down too much interference noise. Otherwise works great. Developer nice and helpful in answering questions.

Money saver. I really love this app! I use it talk to my mom in Brazil and it's awesome. My mom now uses her headphones (she also uses her laptop)in order to get rid of echo. So worth the price.

Brilliant antonio. This app works awesome no additional charges and the call quality is great it had a few kinks at first but justin is more than willing to work with you to have it up and running if you are getting a echo in your call just turn the volume down in your iPhone great work justin

Hit n run. This game is awsome

Solid App. I have a jailbroken iPhone GS and have been forcing WT over 3G/EDGE for quite some time....I can attest that WT works flawlessly, with essentially no lag and NO dropped calls, even while being on an EDGE data connection. This is a great app to use to help keep your cell phone minute usage down. I also use Skype since it is more widely used and has slightly better call quality (and can also be forced over 3G/EDGE if using a jailbroke iDevice). I think this is a great app and by far the simplest to use (no account setup, no user/pass info needed, etc...

Crud. My best friend & I bought this app. Basically, it makes my phone call his phone. I'm sure sad we pay for M2M minutes.

Do not try not working properly. Do not waste your money does not work i hear my friend he does not hear me or i dont hear anyghing we are in same room and excellent wifi conn. Outside wifi forget it

Add voicemail And its perfect. Works great. Definitely worth the 1.99 if you have someone to talk to. Add voicemail on your server with email notifications and perfect app!

Also cannot get it to install. Like the user below I tried to install it direct and then got the message 'cannot install...' I have synch'd several times since then and it still won't install.

Anyone?. Great idea. I emailed the dev cause I have an application for this app. Phone to phone over wifi no Internet required. Lots of potential. App still needs a UI polish. When I first installed it crashed straight away. Now not, I think it was trying to initalize with a server it could not find?

Works but Prone to Echoes. Works well, but is prone to echo and a time lag which can be irritating.

Waste of money. It is impossible to set up an account

Awesome. I'm using firmware 2.1 and this works great. You do not need to set up an account. Just enter a user name in the settings window. It needs to be running to receive a call. Very high quality audio.

Don't even try it. This program cause my 3Gs Iphone lots of proplem, and it almost don't work.

Only works with wifi only!!!!???. Where is it stated that this apps only works on wifi? , this is ridiculous?? After we bought this apps , The program says that it works only in wifi... We bought this program 4 nothing. It should be stated on the description at the very least. :( -5 stars

Keeps hanging up on peer. Not even doing anything and it hangs up, high speed wifi .... Does it hang upp if device is shaken

Interesting Idea, Poor Interface. This is an interesting idea, but the UI is so poor it hurt my eyes. Looks like it was developed by a high school student as a class project. Please read the iOS human interface guidelines. Also try designing the interface then coding, not the other way around.

It does work. Get it u won't regret it,I have nimbuzz, fring and skype apps on my phone but u guys don't know how many times I had to switch from those apps to walkie talkie because they kept on crashing or they wouldn't respond, any ways all you have to do is to have anyone down load this app for a regular pc or mac which it's free download or app on iPhone/ itouch and you guys can start talking any where in the world for free just go to configuration write what ever name you want to be called and have some one that has this program call you by that name find out what name they put in theirs and off you go. for this to work on your phone u have to be on wifi just like any voip app.. Thats only because atnt won't alow this type of calls on their 3g or edge network the other person can just be on a regular computer with a regular Internet service anyways it's the ability to talk to your love ones on the go for free Mind u it can also be used from pc to pc all u need it's a headset no subscribtions needed just a simple download.To have this download from your computer go to google and type justin brady walkietalkie and go to the first link on it and download it good luck

Doesn't work!!. The app crashes on my iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 2G.

Really simple, really easy. It works great. Perfect for international calling, most easily iPhone to someone's computer abroad (unless they are in Europe or somewhere with a cell data network). I just got friends to download the application to their computers, everyone took a username, and then we call the username.

App crashes my iPad 3G - previous version was working great. Needs a retest.. When I start this new version it just crashes within seconds of starting up. It was working fine before -the new release is buggy. Suggest you release the older version until you fix this one.
