Dive Log App Description & Overview

What is dive log app? Dive Log is designed to work either as your primary SCUBA diving logbook application or in conjunction with compatible 3rd party desktop logbook applications. You can use Dive Log at the dive site or on the dive boat to capture the information about the site while it is fresh in your mind (or your dive guide's mind). You can even capture the GPS coordinates of the dive site using the built in location services of your iOS device. Details about your actual dive can be added immediately after your dive or at the après dive event and later be saved to your desktop computer. The dive buddy feature is fully integrated with Contacts on your iPhone or iPad, letting you capture information about your newest dive buddy or quickly add an existing buddy to a particular dive. The dive data and statistics features let you have an immediate answer the next time your dive guide asks how much weight you used on your last dive or have all the information you need about your dive history when you fill out that next dive waiver. Metric and Imperial values are supported for all appropriate logbook fields. You can easily enter values using the appropriate units for the situation and view them in your preferred measurement system. You can even explore detailed dive profiles from popular dive computers that you download with your desktop software and later upload to Dive Log on iPhone/iPad. Dive profile data can also be transferred directly from certain dive computers directly via Bluetooth or using a supported Bluetooth accessory and an associated in-app purchase.

On Windows, Diving Log 6.0 (www.divinglog.de) is fully integrated with Dive Log on iPhone/iPad and has built in synchronization. Diving Log 6.0 has extensive support for importing data from dive computers and other dive log applications.

On Mac OS X, logbook information can be imported to Dive Log on iPhone/iPad from a number of compatible applications using the free Dive Log Manager application available from More Mobile Software (www.moremobilesoftware.com/divelog-sync). DiveLogDT (available on the Mac App Store) can be used to directly import a number of dive computers and file formats and can synchronize with Dive Log on iOS.

Dive data can be directly downloaded on a Bluetooth LE (Bluetooth 4.0/5.0) compatible iPhone, iPad or iPod touch from Bluetooth LE capable dive computers such as the Suunto EON Steel, Suunto EON Core, Suunto D5, Scubapro Galileo 2 (G2), Aladin Sport (Matrix), Aladin H (Matrix), G2 HUD, Aladin A1, Shearwater Teric, Peregrine, Petrel 2, Petrel 3, Perdix, Perdix AI, Perdix 2, NERD 2, Oceanic VTX, Pro Plus 4, Geo 4.0, VEO 4.0, Aeris A300CS, Aqualung i300C, i330R, i550C, i750TC, i770R, Apeks DSX, Sherwood Wisdom 4, Mares Genius and certain heinrichs weikamp OSTC computers as well as the DiveNav Inc. bluebuddy and Tech Buddy dive logger accessories. Supported Bluetooth LE accessories are available separately.

Mares Bluelink Pro is a Bluetooth LE accessory by Mares and available for purchase separately (www.mares.com). The Bluelink Pro allows you transfer dive data from certain Mares dive computers (Puck Pro, Smart, Smart Air, Quad and Quad Air) directly to Dive Log on your Bluetooth LE compatible iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

Dive Computer Buddy (aka DCbuddy) is a Bluetooth LE accessory by DiveNav Inc. (note that the DCbuddy itself is no longer available). The DCbuddy allows you transfer dive data from certain dive computers (including models from Suunto, Oceanic, Aqualung, Aeris, Sherwood, Tusa and Mares) directly to Dive Log on your Bluetooth LE compatible iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

Great App. This is a great dive log! The only request is that you update the option to be able to upload directly from a Garmin Descent MK2i. I used to upload directly from my Teric but I now have a Descent.

Apple Watch Ultra?. Would be great if you add support for Apple Watch Ultra! Its always a great app and this could make it even better!

Perfect for beginners and pro divers alike. Offers a very large range of features. I tried a lot of apps and still keep an eye on the competitors and this is by far the best. I’ve been using it for years.

Hands down the best app with best support.. I’ve now had this app on my phone and desktop for YEARS. I’ve tried others, but keep coming back to this one. The support is top notch (rarely needed) and always quick to respond. I love that I can record things on my phone or computer and synch then back them up in multiple locations. No danger of losing my log to a computer or phone failure.

Great App - Fantastic Developer. I love Dive Log! It is very handy to be able to access and log dives with my iPhone on the spot. Coupled with "Diving Log" and being able to sync with your PC, Dive Log becomes even more powerful! The developer is fantastic to deal with! I had a relatively small issue I was encountering and I got a response within hours, solution within a day and a new version of the software was uploaded in barely more than 24 hours! More Mobile Software and Dive Log have me as a lifelong customer!

Fantastic software for divers (and Diving Log users). As a user of Diving Log already, I downloaded this with much excitement since I've been wanting a way to view my dives on my iPhone. I sync my iPhone via iTunes on my Mac, but run Diving Log using VMWare Fusion on Windows XP. I had absolutely 0 problems syncing the dives from Diving Log to my iPhone since I could do it over WiFi. The software contains pretty much all the features I like when I view my dives in Diving Log, save a few. I've already emailed the developer, but I'd like to see when I'm using Nitrox, photos, and a more fleshed out statistics section. The ability to step through your diving profile for any dive is something I love in Diving Log, and I was pleased to see it here. I really like this software, and it's obvious the developer spent a lot of time setting it up.

Great app. I would like to sort dives by Last > First

Great dive logging solution. Better than more expensive competition. Excellent dive log. Allows great flexibility in creating logs, capturing signatures, documenting dives sites, storing images of dives, documenting countries, islands, etc that you have visited. Has a great section for managing your gear in which you can track serial numbers, service dates, and even get reminders on upcoming service. Has good sync support to desktop solutions and ability to merge dive computer info to logs. Unlike what another review said, on the PC i've found you can do this with the unregistered (free) version of Dive Log 5.0. You're just limited to doing 10 dives at a time. Unfortunately I made the mistake of purchasing a different dive log app for the iPad at twice the price that, while it had a nice Nitrox calculator, as far as logging and tracking your dives and equipment was concerned, did not even come close to this. I've put in a few requests for additional functionality in a future release of dive log (such as printing via AirPrint) and the developer responded within 15 minutes. Great program that is well worth the money.

Wish it was a little easier to use. Great app, but it could be more intuitive. So many options are overwhelming but could be made easier--why is dive suit not under equipment? Also, I need the ability to sync with Google Drive.

Awesome and Flexible Dive App. Great app with a lot of flexible features. Had to ask support a question and got a fast and helpful response.

2 Thumbs Up. I have used this app for years, primarily on my iPhone but also use it on my laptop to sync up with my dive computer for depth profile, times, temp, etc. I really love this app, it is so easy to use and you can put in whatever level of detail you want and leave the others blank. I update after almost every dive in 1-2 min so I never get behind. It really comes in handy when I am returning to a dive center and need to know what I was using for weight, who you dove with or the sites you liked best, my girlfriend runs a paper log and unless it’s <20-30 dives back she never has the info with her. Keep up the good work Greg, your a legend for keeping this app going.

Finally - simple and comple. Been keeping dive logs for decades and finally have a simple and save archive of my records, equipment and logs in one place with a cloud backup.

Great Dive Log App!!!. For years I have tried different apps to log my dives and they all were too weak or too difficult to use. This app is the perfect balance for beginner divers to Tech divers. It is so easy to log dives on your phone then sync them to you laptop later at your hotel, home, or picnic table and add all the specific information that’s difficult to do at the dive site. I still use a traditional log book, but now I am able to have a digital backup and reference in the palm of my hands!

So many opportunities .... ... so much time spent on promoting a $100 bluetooth ad-on for reading dive computers. Admittedly, being able to copy the entire dive, profile and all, would be nice, but they *could* make the app so much more useful as an actual logbook if they wanted. It allows for a fairly comprehensive set of information with which to annotate your dives, but it's nothing that a spreadsheet couldn't do. You can enter groups, surface interval, etc, but the app really has enough information to fill in those blanks. Changing the spelling of a dive site, and all information about it (GPS coordinates, most notably) are gone. I have all my dives in here, so will keep using it 'til I find something better, but if you're looking for an electronic dive log to start with, "this is not the dive log you're looking for."

Exactly what I was looking for!. After trying out several applications on both iOS and PC, this is the one I use (along with Diving Log 6.0 on a Windows PC to capture my dive computer data). I love that I can start the log on my phone at the dive site in order to capture things like GPS location, info I want to remember, and a signature from a dive master or buddy, without having to manually enter any of the data that my computer automatically logs. Then, once I'm home, I download my computer to add the dive profile, temperatures, air consumption, etc. and merge the two sets of info together. The statistics are really fun. Want to know how many times you've dove at your favorite spot or with a certain buddy? How many hours you spent underwater last October? Your deepest / longest / coldest dive? How many dives one of your exposure suits survived? The statistics feature can not only answer these questions, but will also link to each of the associated dives. You can also use this app to keep track of all of your equipment, including pictures, serial numbers, warranty info, service schedules (with optional reminders), and it can track dive counts for each piece. It also stores certification info including images of C-cards. Love this app!

"AWESOME". This app is AWESOME. I have been logging my dives on this app for a few years now and it has been on point every single time. It's very user friendly and as detailed as you make it. Janice at the support team is just as AMAZING as the app. Very helpful with any issues that may occur. Which are not many. You definitely can not go wrong with this app.

Simply the Best!. I’m a bit of a technophile, and love sifting through data on my dives. I started using DiveLog in 2012. I’ve looked at other apps, and none compare. I’ve got 1500 dives logged now, use the desktop version on my Mac, and the standard app on my iPhone and iPad. Great features (custom dive site map, equipment service tracking, support for all the major dive computers), and even better support! This is the digital dive log you’ve been looking for!

Great App for iPod. You'll want to buy the desktop version too!. App is great, handy and super easy to sync with desktop version. I bought the desktop version, then had to have this. Download dives from most any dive computer into desktop version then sync with iPod version or enter dives on iPod and sync to desktop. Doesn't get any easier. Awesome to have all my dives and the ability to add dives at dive site. Support is second to none. Wrote email last night got a reply this morning (the guy is in Germany, don't worry his English is great). Well worth the money. One of the only apps I've purchased. No regrets!!

Superb app. I have been using this for a really long time. This is a great dive log app. The developer regularly updates it and adds additional dive computers to the options list. A rare gem that has continued support where so many before have blown away in the wind. This developer truly loves this app and has continued to support it for years and years.

No true mac synchronization. works fine as something to input dive information on an iphone, but the promotional materials for the $10 product (pretty expensive for an app) say that you can synchronize with mac osx. I followed the (extremely limited) instructions for the software to download to be able to do this (using dive log manager and macdive), and, as far as I can tell, there is no way whatsoever to sync information entered onto the iphone 'down' to your computer. no way to convert the sql file that gets imported through dive log manager to the udcf format that is necessary to actually import the information into the computer program. At a minimum, bi-directional synchronization is necessary to make this application worth $1, much less $10. I wouldn't be quite so upset if it weren't for the fact that the information on iTunes specifically says that synchronization is available for both windows and mac osx. I've e-mailed support for some sort of answer to my question, and if the solution becomes available, I will happily change my rating. As it is, I just wasted $10.

Good, could be better. This app provides everything you would want in a log book, but could be better in terms of UI flow to make the functionality a bit more intuitive.

Great App, needs more computers. I like this app. I could see it being a great app with a few improvements. First, add Genesis Centauri Computers. Second, have a national database dive shops rather than having people input the. Third, have the major companies equipment added to choose from rather than having people input them in.

Amazing dive log app. This app is easy to use as it is intuitive in its design. Lots of features to allow you to add lots of information about a dice very easily. Using the template feature is great to add dives easily because you don’t have to add the same info over and over again for repetitive dives

Excellent job!. This app has made a lot of improvements over the years. Excellent job! I know really enjoy using it!

Stable, a few issues though. Good timing as I am leaving for Grand Cayman tomorrow! The new iPad enhanced retina support is really noticeable. The text is much clearer (to my ever aging eyes). I can't seem to edit the default logbook name, however. Not sure if the previous version had the same issue, but I started adding dives and just noticed that everything is under "Unknown Name." It would be nice to either change that name or have the ability to transfer dives between logbooks (assuming I have to create a new one with my name.) There is standard Apple icon in the app that suggests the ability to share dives, but it appears to only be tied to Twitter. I have seen that icon in other apps tied to both email and SMS communication as well. Finally, I would like to suggest the capacity to add photos to individual dives. This will be my third trip to Cayman and the ability to see (as opposed to only read in my notes) the changes on dive sites or the shape of the reefs over time would be nice.

Great App. I’ve been using Dive Log for the last year. It is just an awesome app. I have a Perdix dive computer and it works perfectly with the app. I highly recommend.

Excellent!. Fantastic app for those that want an electronic dive log! I love the fact that it shows a map with dive flags where I have been and lets me include pictures of the dive site. It integrates very well with Oceanlog - so I can just import the information from my dive computer and have my profiles available whenever I want to see them - which comes up more often than you would expect when you have the ability to do it! I also like the fact that I can update information on either the phone or my PC and simply sync over wifi to make the logs "match." Excellent app!

The best dive log app. It's the really best diving app. It has everything you may need and much more on top of that! You'll love it!

Apple Health Integration. Great App with regular cadence of updates with new features. Would love an Apple Health Integration so I can log the exercise, and heart rate

I love this app but needs a few tweaks.. This is a fantastic app for logging dives. It has all of the fields that are required to properly track all types of dives and has a few extras that really simplify things. A few tweaks would be nice such as the locations. They are not really relational in that city and state for a site are not connected. But if I could only get one fix it would be the sync process. It would be nice if the app synced to iCloud using live data. Right now the sync between the Mac app and my mobile devices is a bit clunky. If they never fix this I'll still be happy with the app.

Great app all around. I’ve been using this app for about a year now and it’s been helpful. The dive log is well suited to my type of dives - beginner to intermediate dives with air and nitrox blends. As well, the support team is top tier. This is something I cannot stress enough as they will always be there to help if you run into problems. Great app and great people running the app. Thanks y’all

Best Dive Log EVER!!!. THIS is the Dive Log app to own. It is the be all, end all of dive log apps. You can store any info about your dive that you can imagine. You can link your contacts as your dive buddies, store dive sites, shops, statistics about your dives, view your dive sites on a maps... you name it, this will do it. Contrary to what the other reviewer wrote, it easily syncs with the Dive Log software program on either your phone or iPad. I assure you; it is very, very user-friendly. You can access and input any information about your dive from one screen. Accessing the other information is only one menu away at any time. No, it won't download from your dive computer to your phone or iPad; but anyone, like the other reviewer, who expects this ought to be slapped upside the head for sheer stupidity. You can get the most of it by owning the Dive Log software for your computer, but it functions well as a stand-alone app on your phone or iPad.

Great app for active divers and dive professionals. This app has proven to be a great resource from both a personal and professional (Instructor Trainer) standpoint. The ability of fill out my log as soon as the dive is over, including GPS coordinates of the dive site is a great help. In addition, the most recent update added in the ability for your buddy to "sign" your log, thus creating a log book that is accepted by dive operations (a great feature for those of us who prefer electronic dive logs!). I have yet to have any problems with the app, but the developer has been quick to answer any questions I have and listens to suggestions for future updates. Great app and I highly recommend it to any diver!

Great App already, even better support. Such a great app to use, between all the ways to track and group dives, gear, activities, locations, it's incredibly useful. Great UI and functionality. What drove this app for great to awesome is the level of support and pride the developers show in their work. I had a minor inconvenient issue that was addressed quickly and the follow up was unbelievable. There might be free apps that does a few of the things this app does, but for the price and service, it's well worth the asking price. I only see this app getting better. Well done, and I am a very satisfied customer. Nothing in the app store comes close.

First rate app and support!. I have been using this app for years and it does a great job! On occasion when I have had a question the developers have been helpful and very responsive. I highly recommend this app!

Excellent App!. Does what it says it does, and does it well. Updated regularly with bug fixes and feature updates. Keep up the good work!

Excellent Dive Log. I tried several apps. The is the only one I liked. This app syncs to my Suunto EON Core and pulls in all my dive data. I track all my equipment, certifications, dive locations, marine life, etc. I rated it 4 stars because I wish the user interface was a little more graphical / designed. However, the functionality of the app is 5 stars.

Super responsive developer. I have tried a couple electronic log books and this is my favorite by far, though I have been manually logging my dives as my old computer didn’t support downloads. I recently bought a new computer (Aqualung i550C) and posted a note on the support forum asking if anyone had got Dive Log to work with it via Bluetooth download yet. The developer contacted me and within a couple days had a working beta of the software that supports my computer. Amazing! Thank you for a great product and top notch support.

Great diving log App. Covers all the bits in a Diving log that I want. Fairly easy to sync with Diving log 6.0 on my pc. Would like to see a better search query on here - like how many dives have I made over 100 ft etc.

Best Logbook App. By far the best logbook app out there. I have tried several with much frustration. This app is perfect. It integrates seamlessly with my G2 computer. Stop looking for the perfect dive log app, you found it. Now buy it and enjoy your diving.

Amazing app. This developer had worked tireless to developing a software that works seamlessly on all of my devices ( iPad, Droid, and Windows). I can access my certification from my phone at the dive shop when I travel. I used it for years with my Sunnto Vyper and now with my new Shearwater Perdix AI.

Very good but more needed. Overall a great effort, I’d recommend anyone get it. Improvements I’d like to see; A way of getting a dive organisation to “stamp” the logbook to certify my dives. Also cloud connectivity is patchy and confusing. I’d like it to seamlessly and automatically backup to the cloud to preserve my dives and to connect to a desktop divelog app. I want to open either logbook and have my dives appear.

Good, BUT needs a lot of work. This app is pretty good. I just feel it's missing some things and implements a few things in a weird way. Location info is weird. It asks for city/state and country/region as data fields but don't associate them together. So you can put in that you dove in Pensacola Florida and then choose from the drop down that you dove in Pensacola Russia. Why not just use the same city, state like the rest of the world? It has signature slot, but no other info tied to it. No slot to mark if it was a master diver, dive buddy, space alien, boat master, etc or to put their diver number. A lot of other little details that are weird and annoying. it's good enough software, but not worth the price he is charging until it's polished…. A LOT!

My Favorite App. Absolutely LOVE this app! I like the fact I can view my stats and easily find past dives at specific sites. Just a well designed app with zero failures, this far

Good, but lacks functionality for the price. DeepBlu app is better (if they support your computer) and free. The GPS logging of dive sites on DeepBlu is way better because you can actually see other dive sites on it. This app’s GPS function doesn’t even work as far as I can tell. It tells you where you are, but it doesn’t let you save that location to your dive log. Not worth paying money for

Complete, flexible, thorough Dive Log. Synchronizing with DivelogDT on my Mac, versatile and —knock wood— bug free so far. I’ve only transcribed a fraction of my dives (need them validated), but I find this the best of 4 so far... no reason to swap out now. Customer service/support has been Johnny on-the-spot too.

A bit overwhelming for a recreational diver. As a recreational diver, I was looking for an easy way to log my dives and track bottom time, weights, max depth, and some other small notes. While this app does provide that functionality, it also includes many other details to the point where it gets overwhelming. Also, the app is very user input dominated so it takes a lot of effort to log a simple dive. Would have liked a more user friendly and intelligent suggestion way to add dives. Going back to a physical log for now, but appreciate the effort and think it could be great for divers who need to track every small detail of their dives. Would love to see a simpler version of the app for more causal recreational divers.

Not what I wanted. This is strictly a LOGBOOK, there is nothing in it that assists dive PLANNING. Despite the graphs in the advertising, they are historical in nature. Wasted money for me.

Almost perfect. Almost every feature I could ask for and I’ve been researching and trying dive log apps for about a year. The developer is also very responsive and helpful. Very impressed. My one holdback in buying a certain dive computer was that their dive log app was very lacking so Dive Log’s ability to download from that DC helped make my decision easier.

Best Electronic Log. I have used this app to log hundreds of dives over the past several years. It syncs easily to my desktop and makes all the important info easily available.

Finally!!!. Finally, a dive app that actually works. Loaded and installed easily. Little bit pricey, and it didn’t mention that you also had to purchase your individual dive computer download, but I’m prepared to forgive that due to the ease of use. Graphics are well laid out. Especially like how map coordinates can be manually input using a map and cursor.

Insurance. Good mobile and pc app but still misses a place to put more medical details (e.g DAN, local life insurance)

Awesome support!!!. I had an issue with the latest version. It wiped all my dives and wouldn't download from diving log. I can't praise the guys more highly. Service was outstanding, lots of time and effort put in to make sure my problem was resolved. Got to say, thanks Greg! Well done, you won me.

Flexible but empty. Pricy when you have to buy an addition to allow it to use your computer, but I can live with that as it is a full featured app and a one-off purchase. Where it comes down is complexity and lack of prefilled information. You have to manually add every marine species, piece of equipment, body of water, country, island and dive site. Marking a dive site is difficult as it doesn’t correctly copy Google Maps Plus codes and doesn’t allow you to search easily by map within the app. I would expect all countries, bodies of water etc to be preloaded as well as popular dive sites. It becomes tedious whenever you’re logging a dive to create a new country, a new body of water, a new entry for every new animal. Dropbox syncing is kind of clunky too. Have used for 2-3 years and been moderately satisfied but recently used some others and they highlight where this falls short and I’ve started looking for alternatives.

Awesome dive log ap. Highly recommend it. Very useful, especially when traveling overseas.

Great Basic Log Book. Great for the basics. Simple entry and clean approach gives you a good record of your dives. Used it for multiple dives and never had an issue. Perhaps too many fields of information to fill out. My experience is based only on manual entry and haven't synced with a dive watch/computer. Needs to be updated to the current iOS 8 "look" though and built in integration with Facebook would be a bonus as well as HealthKit. Feature request: Ability to add instructor and their number to a dive (different to a buddy).

Great app with great support. Excellent compréhensive divelog that Links to loads of computers easily. Bluetooth sync is great. Every time I have had an issue support has been great and there is an active user forum. Wish all apps were like this!

Still good. Still using this after many years. Easiest way to update my dive log and it's always with me and never forgotten for my infrequent diving experiences.

No Need for a PC Anymore!. Now that it supports the DiveNav DCBuddy, you can just simply hook your dive computer up and download your dives with the log in this app. It will even merge with an existing manual entry. Brilliant app!

Just what I wanted!. Great app for keeping dive logs digitally. The best bit is the free Mac software which syncs with your iPad, so you've always got a backup of your logbook in case of emergency (haven't tried the PC version myself). This app has so many features, most of which i probably won't even use, but it's clear that the programmers of this app have gone to great lengths to ensure that it is compatible with many standard data types to import from dive computers. I haven't tried any other dive log apps, but I can happily recommend this for price and usability. Very happy!

Looks good... so far.. I've only had a quick play so far. It looks very well thought out. But I'd love to see iCloud support so all my devices have the same data on them. Hopefully to come. Cheers!

Excellent app. Over the last few updates this app has matured into a stable, comprehensive and really useful logbook. I have now given up my paper log entirely. There are no bugs or problems to complain about here, but of course there's a wishlist for future features (eg more synchronisation options with desktop software and/or data export features). Well done to the developers, keep developing!

Love it. I use my dive log manager as my primary log book. I use my suunto with my mac air and everything works great. Would recommend this app. The only thing that would like added is the ability to add photos and also a button within the more section for gear and next service due.

Great app, superb developer support. This app has a range of features that make it a truly compelling alternative to a paper logbook. It allows for an incredibly comprehensive range of dive-related information to be recorded, from details of dive locations to equipment (history of use, warranty and more), weather, buddies and notes. There’s even a place for sign-off by an instructor. If you have a dive computer, linking device and compatible smartphone, your dive profile data can be automatically downloaded and imported. Everything can be backed up to protect your previous history of diving. The developer really seems to have thought of everything and has furthermore been super responsive and helpful with any support queries I have lodged.

Great. As an avid diver I can see that this is going to be very useful. At the moment im recording my dive data when i get around to it but now I will definately be inputting my data at the dive site as my iPhone is glued to my body. Would also like to see photo support to attach pics to the dives. Overall I would recommend this to divers who like me enter dive data monthly and struggle to remember where you dived! Lol with this I can enter the basic profile at the site. I love my iPhone ;)

Great app. As described although some minor issues with performance otherwise very good app/scuba log.

Great dive log. This is the best electronic dive log I have found. Very easy to use and can be combined with desktop erosion (at extra charge). I have both and am very happy with how it works.

Simply the best. As a diving instructor, and a regular dive traveller, I place a lot of reliance on keeping a detailed log. Over the years, I've tried several, including the ones offered by dive computer manufacturers. Dive Log is superior to any I've encountered and it has the additional, significant benefit of accommodating practically every make of dive computer. Not only that, but it usually displays the available data generated more effectively and helpfully. The other huge plus for this app is the outstanding customer service from the parent company. Their team really goes the extra mile to meet the diver's needs and address any concerns.

Great app. Great Developers. I was excited to finally find a dive log application! It works great and from the developer's quick response to questions it is obvious that this application will keep getting better as more divers use it.

Very pleased !!. Works great. I was waiting for a log for my phone. Everything works fine and is very easy to use.

Horrible, not user friendly, no help offered.. There is no help in the app, no support link. No way to find out how to use it. I added the Mares blue link for an extra $3.99 and i still can’t find anything in the app that suggests you can connect it to my computer nor an option to do so nor any help button to work out how. I want my money back!

Awsome Dive Log App !!!. I really love this app !!! Works awsome with my perdix ! There are so many options !!!

Amazing. This log is the only one you'll need. Well worth the money! Waiting patiently for the Bluetooth attachment for my Wisdom 2 DC for full dive profiles. Wish this app was available sooner but the template copy function enables previous dive logging and makes it very simple. Highly recommend, you will not regret it! ***Updated DC Dive Buddy has arrived and EXCEEDED expectations! Thank you for the great app.

amélioration à faire. C'est très bien, si on veut continuer à améliorer, il devrait avoir possibilité d'ajouter plus photos, video maps cave etc..., bref plus de remarques sur un site de plonger, cave etc...

Great app, but needs tank defaults and a matching desktop app. It'd be nice if we were able to define defaults for tank size and pressure. I've dived Al80s (3000 psi), Steel 100s (3442 psi) and twin steel 130s (3442 psi). I'd rather select from a list of three options instead of having to separately select tank material, size and max operating pressure for each logged dive. I was only able to import less than a quarter of my total dives, a matching desktop app would certainly make it easier to get the rest of my dives onto my iPhone.

Great Program. Easy to use. Fun to use. Can add lots of divers. Sync with a MacBook or a desktop. When your Mac has the free or paid version. Missing is the programming for Nitrogen levels from dive tables. When you add times, depths and surface intervals, the program(APP) should be able to calculate the Nitrogen levels. Plus give warnings. Five stars if the missing programming is added.

Good log. I too would like to see tank selector and I would like go back it up to iCloud or my iPad or s desktop app. Other than that great app.

Really good. I’ve used this app for a few versions and years now. It keeps getting better and I feel the developer really stands behind it. We use it to log all our dives, it’s great to have everything simply within the app. I have not imported logs directly from my computer as I lack the cable. The out of box app settings are great and it has all the features I’d ever care to have plus several I keep discovering. Very worthwhile download for a diver.

Fantastic!!!. I was a little skeptical about downloading this app at first due to price but I AM GLAD I DID, worth every penny! I'm a dive instructor and have been diving for over 25 years, many of them with dive computers (pretty much since dive computers came out) and was typically using the manufacture software, now I use this program with log book 5.0 all the time! This program connects to most computers, is super easy to use and has a lot of details not even found on the computer manufacture software! It's a great tool to take with you, share with friends and even has a signature area for your buddy to sign. Highly recommend, great program...

Super app. Super app very useful and super easy to use great system to sync between different device like iPad Mac and iPhone, maybe it could be grate to have access to near dive site Thank

Excellent App. I love this App. The only glitch I have is that even though I have switched the settings to PSI and feet, they don't save that way. I would also like to see it calculate pressure groups automatically. Otherwise excellent job!

Great addition to PC software. Easy to sync and lets you take your log book everywhere. I love it!

Best Dive Log for mobile. I’ve tried many, this one is awesome. My only complaints: -There’s a serious need to have an ability to set up favorite tanks, so you don’t have to enter capacity, material, working pressure every time. -it would be nice to be able to review all the data contained in the dive computer dive log (PPO2 for example),the desktop version does it, and it’s useful. -the statistics function is great, it would be even better if you could apply multiple filters. I really like the fact that it downloads from my petrel, and that it has an iOS sync capability. Also like the ability to track pretty much every detail and the statistics function is useful even in its current form.

Wonderful application. I love that I can sync this with Dive Log on the PC. That application will download from just about any dive computer including my Liquivision!

Great app, great support. This app is a perfect dive companion. I no longer keep a paper log. Works well with MAC and always has. When i had trouble syncing when i was new to the app, the support was excellent and fast.

Outstanding Product & Customer Service. Outstanding support from Dive Log 5.0 and Sven. Sven was able to enable support for a new Liquivision Lynx dive computer within 2 hours of receiving my request. Subsequent bugs were tested and fixed within 24 hours. Would recommend EVERYBODY switch to Dive Log 5.0!

super application. rien a dire contre cette application. 12$ est peut-être chèr pour certain mais a long terme sa vaut la peine. Facile a utiliser. just loving it

Very Functional. This app installed easily, and connected instantly with my Sherwood Wisdom 3 via the DCBuddy. Downloaded all my dive data. The only thinking lacking is the ability to attach multiple images to a single dive location. I emailed the company and received a quick response that are are working to upgrade this feature.

Best I've seen - great digital log book!. A perfect replacement or back up to my dive computer's log book (or my paper log book). I have logged about 75 dives in this app so far and overall I am very happy. I have thought there would be ways to tweak the way information is entered but would need to think about it more to make a worthwhile recommendation. Love that you can sync the log between computer and mobile devices. Don't mind that you have to wait until you are on wifi...

Not Impressed. Well, as a 46 year old diver, who’s has been diving since 1990, a large percentage of my dives are entered is paper logs. Although I use a computer on some of my more recent dives, I still like to go old school and do without. I purchased this app thinking I’d be able to log the hundreds of dives I made before the age of dive computers, but it would appear this is not an option. But nowhere did I see that this was the case before spending my money. This said, I am not impressed.

Rescue Diver. Great app! A suggestion for improvement would be to add an option to reorder dives so that it will list them from the first dive to the last OR the last dive to the first so that the last dive is at the top of the list. That would be my preference so I hope to see it soon.

Works great. Excellent Functionality. Wish I could add pics for each dive.. App works great. Lots of good features. Easy to use. The only thing I've found lacking so far is the fact that I can't add pictures for each dive. I can upload a pic for each dive site... But can't add pics for individual dives at that site. Too bad! I'd like to be able to store data from old paper log books, and maybe add a few pics to remember the dive and the group I traveled with.

Missing essential log information. Although this app is convenient for logging details about a dive, it does not log essential, necessary information like pressure groups and residual nitrogen times. Had I known, I would have waited to purchase until it is upgraded to include that info. A pressure group calculator would be great.

Works perfectly. This is one the best app for scuba diving love how they are always making updates. Works perfectly on my iPad 2 and iPhone. Keep up the great work guys.

Nice but too much tapping needed. Holds all critical info but could use camera to add buddy photos, fewer taps to edit info, Mac version, ability to add dive computer log and profile to existing log entry, templates, duplicate an entry option, links to dive shops and operations, photos from library or camera for copies of paper logs, thumbnail photos for dive icons.

Great way to look up old dives on the fly. Works great with MACDive, and it is great to have my logs with me to reference my dives. Owning 3 suits and diving in fresh and salt water, this is quick way to find what weights I used with my single or double setup. Never had an issue losing data.

Best Dive app in the AppStore. Firstly, you can easily use Dive Log with a Mac despite a previous review. I've been doing it for years and it works great. As a professional dive instructor I recommend that all of my students keep a dive log and I always recommend Dive Log as the app to do it. The user interface is simple, yet effective, and easy to navigate. The statistical data you can capture is amazing and it the will even remind you when your gear needs serviced. More importantly I've watched the features of Dive Log grow consistently over the years as the developer is very active in keeping up with the latest technology and trends. If I could I'd give Dive Log 10 stars. Can't imagine logging dives without it.

Worth the price. Dive Log 5 on the PC reads the Veo's data and creates log entries and I fill in anything that's missing. A couple of clicks and it's in Dive Log on the iPhone. The profiles look great and I like how the the dive buddies ties to the phone contact list. Organizing scans of your c-cards is a nice touch also. Dive Log is worth the price of admission.

Good standard dive log. I have had this app for the last year and purchased if as a result of the dive log program it's associated with. I sync using my laptop and as others have mentioned noted that some items just refuse to sync properly requiring extra work. Overall the program continues to develop and hopefully the near future it will be more intuitive. Wish it would list noted dives within the Caribbean and US as a drop down option when entering. Overall a good program that allows the user to keep close tabs on their dives.

Great product, poor sync. I love this log. I love that it has a Mac desktop companion, that one one of my biggest priorities when shopping for a log book. However, I dislike that the syncing method is through wifi. With the syncing technology available through apple product today there is little no reason that syncing shouldn't be handled automatically through iCloud. Aside from that this is an incredible log book app.

Keeps getting better. Bought this app a long time ago, and it keeps getting better and better. Dev keeps giving it the love, enhancing the UI and adding new features. iCloud support for log syncing is awesome. Integrates well with MacDive on Mac. Dev responds quickly to questions. A top notch app.

Good App with a few issues with being able to Sync. Good app. Good for diving and very conveinient, but there is no way to easily sync to my Mac laptop. Without that or a way to back up with the press of one button, this is not worth the $!0

Great app. This app is great. Love the ease of use. I have tried a couple other logs, including ones for Ipad, but I keep coming back to this as the best. Would be nice to be able to attach photos or link to albums and maybe have an iPad version.

Very Impressed. As I said I was very impressed with this tool. Sure it's a bit expensive as far as apps go but worth every penny. I gotta tell you, I tried lots and lots of dive log apps, this one is great. Logs my dives, logs places I've been before so when I revisit them all the info is there. Beware tho, while it does sync nicely with iPad, if you want to sync with PC you'll have to buy the $35 PC program, the trial only logs 10 dives.

Great digital log book!. Love this app. It's simple & intuitive. It has all the right info & very easy to learn. It's stable & universal for iPhone or iPad. I haven't worked on syncing and all that yet, but so far it's awesome. I had a question and emailed tech support and got a VERY fast & helpful response too. Great all the way around. Worth every dime.

Petral compatible. The app allows you to put as much detail about the dive as you want. If you want you can include a photo, gps, coordinates, dive site name, depth, temperature , etc It syncs easily with the petral. If you sync with the petral all your information comes across and even includes a graph of the dive. You can have the dive master electronically sign your log. The only problem I have had is with syncing between iPad and iPhone. I contacted customer support and got a long and detailed response. Now the sync works fine. For the price of a manual log book how can you not try it!

Needs a way go backup. It sure seems to say it can sync or back up to a website or something but it really doesn't. I've logged all my dives in the app and it's a cute way to hold all the data,... But it's just there on your phone. There seems to be no way at all to transfer the data to another source or website. So when I stop using this phone,... Data is gone....

Great App "Love It". Love using the app in connection with the Desktop version. I think it's the best thing out there for electronic dive logging. I had a support problem with syncing in Parallels on my Mac. The email response was fast and fixed my problem. Needs a few improvements. It would be perfect if Bearing and Bookmark data from Smart Track transferred and also dive computer display data. So I can review exactly what is on my dive computer display from moment to moment I love the App and look forward to updates!

Initial Review. While I generally like the app, what I miss is the ability to have the PADI dive table calcs integrated into the application. With the current version, you have to jump out to a different app to do pressure group calcs. With any luck, this will get built into next version.

What a great program for diver who use a Mac. I go this program to use with my iPhone, iPad, iMac and a iPad Mini. What can I say.. I hook up my Mares Icon HD and down load my dive put in the information and "poof" like magic it's one everyone of my devices. No more taking log books with you on vacation. Simply bring your phone or iPad. You can even upload pictures of your cert cards. I personally do not have anything bad to say about this program at all. I love Dive Log! So will you.

Worked great!. Logged 14 dives in 6 days. The gps worked great to create sites and the template function made logging new dives easy. Really worth buying. Also synced fine with my Mac. Suggest calculating statistics by sub categories in addition to al dives. For example, total dive time by buddy/island/site or deepest dive by buddy, etc...

Very good, but lacks a de-duper. I agree with all of the positive reviews of this app, but this app misses a key feature. I bought it to enter information at the dive site or immediately after the dive. But I also want to download dive profile information off of my computer into Diving Log 5.0. The natural solution is to be able to combine dive logs and select which fields and matrices to keep. Neither Diving Log 5.0 nor the Dive Log app permits this. Instead, I have to download the information into Diving Log 5.0, enter the information manually from Dive Log, and then sync the information to the Dive Log app.

Constant Use in Conjunction with Mac Dive. This works flawlessly with the Mac Dive program I use to upload my dives from my Oceanic Pro Plus 2.1. Information flows seamlessly between my Mac and iPhone. Seeing as how I keep my updated logs sync'd; I find that the nicest feature is being able to quickly access anything, from bottom time to SAC rate for a particular dive, within seconds.

Does What It Says. I bought this app to have my dive log on hand with my iPhone and able to make changes as necessary, it does all that and more! I love it and will continue to use it!

Works, but a little clunky with Macs. Buy the app, but the process to get data from Dive Log on a Mac to this app is a bit confusing, but it does work. Once the data is imported to one device, you can easily sync it to your other idevices. Once it's done, it's nice to have your logbook so accessible.

Outstanding App. All around great app. If you're looking for a quality log book, this is it. It's plain to see that everything in this app is thought through, for example when listing repetitive dives it automatically calculates your preceding surface interval based on the length/entry time of the previous dive. In addition there are a lot of options to add personal details to the app such as certifications, pictures, GPS coordinates etc. I highly recommend this app to any serious diver looking for a log book.

Great App. I love this app, it allows for all I need to track and frees me from carrying physical log books / C-cards around on my trips. I use it on both my iPad and iPhone and have had no syncing issues as mentioned in some of the reviews. My two suggestions to the publisher are: i) Allow to capture an image per dive, not just dive site....this may be prohibitive on space, though, which may be why this feature is not present... ii) It would be nice to see stats on a year-over-year basis as well as by dive type. e.g. # of dives each year, or # of 'Fun' dives vs. 'Recovery' dives vs 'Deep' dives. But these are more in the way of "wish list" type requests...all in all, I love this app! Kevin

$10 but worth it. This is the best dive log program I've ever used. Don't screw around for the free or cheaper program. I especially like how you can just enter your buddies from the contact list. I love how you can get the stats from all your dives, the locations and the counts of your dives, avg depth, avg time, etc. Highly recommend if you are a diver and want to keep track of your dives electronically.

great app. This is a great app! I've used it since the palm treo days and love it on the ipad! and iPhone and my computer... Enter extra data and sync to all my iOS devices. best part is the look on peoples face at the dive club meeting! keep up the outstanding work! love it!

Amazing SCUBA tool!. This app has all the features you want and is very customizable. You can also get your dive buddy to sign your log entry with their finger. You can create dive templates so that if you make 2 or 3 repetitive dives you don't have to enter all the info twice. Plenty of space for comments and notes. Calculates your air consumption. Syncs well with computer and dive computer. Every serious diver should have this app.

Amazing Product and Excellent Support. Been using this program for quite sometime now. I am extremely happy with it but wished it would calculate pressure groups for me. Best in class support. All my students love it as well

Very easy and useful.. The program itself works great. It does what it's meant to do, and it does it well. It's my favorite way to log a dive!

Good start, but could uses a hand. Personally I love this app, it's very easy to use and I love that you can add photos from your iPhone! But it is missing some stuff and it could be designed a little better. Overall great app!

Okay app.. Needs to be more compatible with dive computers that are new to the industry. Please add wifi download with the BlueBuddy from Divenav. As a scientific diver, I always use one. Would love to use this app again but I find it time consuming to add my dives in one at a time. A quick download from MyBlueBuddy and this app would be my top choice once again. Thanks! PLEASE MAKE THIS APP COMPATIBLE WITH THE BLUEBUDDY DIVE COMPUTER AND THE SUUNTO COBRA III

Good app with greater potential. I really like this app. One very minor annoyance is the need to hit "Edit" in so many places instead of just tapping a field to edit it. Integrating automatically-generated RDP tables based on the PADI standard would be a *huge* win here. Also, the ability to transfer iPhone-entered logs to the OSX version of Dive Log (viewable/editable on the Mac, not in SQL format) would be a great feature.

Dive. The program is very powerful. Easy to use but when inserting a dive spot you must know the lat. And long. they should make it so you can pick a pin that you have dropped.

Hope you work on. The only problem is i cant synchronizing between ipad and iphone or iphone to iphone, ipad to ipad. Please if you can fix this issue Thankyou

Great App! Syncs easily with my PC version. Very satisfied. This is a great App. I've been using it almost since my first OW class in Feb and have logged all 44 dives on it. I also sync it with my PC version that hast dive computer downloads. There is some manual maintenance that is required for that piece but the programs great overall! Very easy to use.

Pretty good but.... This app is pretty good for logging dives but please oh please enable some sort of cloud synch ( icloud or dropbox ). One can't be expected to enter every dive twice into iphone and then again into the iPad. In this day and age this is a must for an iOS app that runs on multiple platforms.

Intuitive, Nice Functions and Features. Easy to use and setup. I synchronize with Mac Dive and have experienced no issues. Would like to see ending pressure group information and perhaps enhanced repetitive dive data, but all-in-all a solid program. I recommend it to all recreational divers.

Great app but needs better OS X and email export support. I've found this to be a great app for maintaining dive logs, but it's not well supported by any desktop apps on OS X. My buddies request general dive information a lot, and it would be great if I could quickly email a dive log off to one of my dive buddies for their records. Keep up the great work!

Very nice and integrates with dive log. I have been using this app for nearly a year to log dives. The programmer made some major improvements from the last version. This easily syncs with Dive Log 4.0 desktop software over a wifi network.

This app and PC Dive Log 5.0 rock. As an Excel ranger I did my own dive log with profile graphs and all that. I have been way out done. Sweet! If your concerned about spending money on yet another sickly app download the PC part first for free. Very good combo.

Great Dive Log. Great tool for e-Logging. Syncs all my electronics (iPad,iPhone, and PC). Can upload directly from dive computer and add to logbook dives automatically! It keeps track of all service dates to remind you when to get service on regs etc. Set up on all three devices and dive computer took less than an hour!

Great App!!. I have been using this app since open water class. Great log! Keeps all you statistics in one place for easy viewing. This SHOULD NOT replace a paper log. But for carrying all your logs around and calculating how much time you have been under, how many times you have been where, how many times you have dove with who or what hear... Great app! Worth the price for sure!

The only dive log you'll ever need.. This is incredible. Every idea has been implemented. Use your iPhone gps to tag the dive location. Use the camera to add a picture. Or select one from your album. Add dive buddies. See overall statistics for all entries. Add data from your dive computer to your desktop to your iPhone. Great for practicality and functionality. Excellent support. First rate experience. Well worth the money. Thank you!

Love it but. Great app use it all the time. The only thing you need to have Is a back up screen. Like if I get a new phone I have all my dives on the new device. Otherwise it's a great app and well worth it.
