Save song / Bounce Track. This app just needs to either bounce the track or save the songs.

Love It!! Cant Wait For the Update. I cant wait for the update For this to Be able to save the tracks and upload them to the computer... Would be nice if able to load individual up and then mix them out on the computer... I sure would like to also have full volume playback of the other tracks through the built in speaker when recording from the built in Mic..... Beautifull Application... On top of updates. This is a program that is always evolving. The developer is right on top of his product and is always making it better and even better. Now all you need is a DSP of should I say RST for a little reverb and compression! Get the program, it only gets better and better

Exporting. Great app the quality is way better than expected! It would b great to have a way to save your 4 tracks session as mp3 or wav and be able to export to ur computer and it would also b great if u could use as ur own custom ringtone maker! Keep up the good work!!!

Hmmm. Pretty cool but ultra basic. Really needs a bounce to stereo with pan. For some reason the latest update made the monitoring while recording volume so low as to make overdubing useless. I want the ealier version back. Not useful until that is fixed.

Why im dumb. I only bought this app to record Tracks using the built in synth. Well of course, you cant do that. I guess i didnt read the app page well enough? Though the picture on the app page clearly shows the keyboard with a record option. Not on mine. I want my 8 dollers back. Seriously, this is illegal.

not sure yet. just bought this and already highly disappointed with the metronome not working. i adjust the tempo and upon playback it never seems to actually change tempo. just for kicks i typed in 500 bpm and stayedthe same, 80 bpm i think. i havent even been able to test out the other functions as i have been wasting 20 mins or so tryingto get this metronome to work. it seems a bit buggy, when you click the "i" button it seems to work when it feels like it. i almost have to press it just right for it to open the right page. this app os way overpriced, it has the potential but the creators need to just follow through and give up the proper updates.

Something good's a comin'. A simple, functioning sound-on-sound app was all I had hoped to find in the app store when I got my iPhone. I've used the voice-memo function on past phones as sketch-books, but ALWAYS was frustrated by the inability to record the harmony underneath a melody idea, or indicate a rhythmic pattern. I am going to wait to purchase until this app gets it's legs a bit, as it seems by the other reviews that there are some issues that need to be worked on.

needs to be fixed!!!!. Everytime I press play to hear what I recorded my vocals are off beat! I didn't have this problem a week ago it just happened out of the blue. When this problem is fixed this app will get 5 stars from me, but for now it's at a 1.

Latency issues. A great concept with good controls. I can look past the lack of save or export (you can simply dub onto another medium), BUT there are serious latency issues. May be an aspect of my phone since I haven't seen anyone else mention this, but I'm unable to record over even a simple click track; the play becomes badly out-of-sync. I've only been able to record instrumentation over found sounds...to that end it makes a good field recorder (although there are cheaper field-recording apps out there). Maybe an update can solve the latency problem?

Ultra glitchy. I was excited about this, but there's no save feature and if you touch the track name the keyboard comes up and can't be removed! Simple is one thing but broken is another. Please fix, as this could be a neat program.

Favorite App.. Thanks for making this app. I can now write a song on my lunch break. I have had zero problems with it since the update. It would be cool to save or upload digitally, but I'm sure that's coming. Big deal. I have written some cool stuff thanks to this and it wouldn't have happened before. That makes it well worth a few bucks. This is totally my favorite app. A great tool. I'm a bit surprised by the negative reviews. I look forward to the next update!

Sorry, Doesn't Work. I hate to give this app such a low score, but the damn thing doesn't work. I can't hear the audio from my previously recorded track while recording a new one. This makes it pretty much useless. Am I the only one having this problem? It also will occasionally record the audio (that I can't hear) to the new track directly! Does this whether or not I use the headphones. Sorry, I'll write another one if it gets fixed, but right now I was just screwed out of 6 bucks.

Refunds. Greedy software writers are making a killing on us for these 4 track apps. Everyone who bought this 799 app should get a refund. Only supports wifi import/export, app is constantly freezing. No manual piece of s#@t

Incredibly worthless app, unbelievable--hardly more than a single track memo minder. Definitely NOT worth the price. Gosh, I sure wasted some bucks. I want my money back! The reviewer who gave 5 stars on the current version gave away his purpose when he admitted he really used the app as a voice memo substitute. What a waste! If this programmer ever has been in a real recording studio, or even owned or used one of the old 4 track cassettes his thematic iconology is based on, I'd be stunned to learn. Nothing in the software interface outside of a slider for channel volume even hints at a multitrack recording deck interface. Major problems: (1) The online website is a joke. Static pages with just screen shots of the app itself with the exact same text content as in the iTunes store. Nothing more. Nada. Zipola. Not even navigation buttons!! (2) No help guides and no user guides whatsoever, whether in software, or online! Not even a brief "How to Get Started" web page. Unbelievable. (3) Really screwball interface. Needs a MAJOR overhaul even to look like a typical multitrack recorder, Tascam or whatever. Get this: THE LEVEL METERS RUN UPSIDE DOWN!! No kidding. When you have the iPhone in landscape mode (the only mode the app uses), with the rudimentary transport controls at the bottom and the English text in the green screens at the top of each track rightside up, then the level meters come out of the TOP of the track channel and bounce DOWNWARD to the transport controls. I seriously am not kidding. (4) Minimal transport controls. Just play and stop. That's it! No fast forward or reverse or track position point; further, hit stop and you always return to beginning of track, not where you are in the track! Much more critical and fatal--you literally are flying blind. You have no graphic indicator whatsoever of where you are in the track. No song position cursor to drag around and navigate back and forth in the track. You have no waveform to follow. All you get is sound output. You hear the track playing, but you are completely locked out of going anywhere specifically in the track, whether by visual waveform, or even some rudimentary data entry, such as time, measure, or beat. Again, simply unbelievable. You also do not have track mute or track solo buttons, without which a "multitrack" is nothing more than multitrouble, because you can get really twisted up auditioning and keeping straight in your head your live tracks and your recorded tracks, even with just four! (5) No icons have any explanation as to their function, and most are non-standard, not intuitive at all. Some are obvious, such as Play, Stop, Record, but others you do not even have a clue. You have to discover by accident whether the little round circle that is supposed to be a track activity light should be red or white to be active (you'd be surprised what the answer is). (6) The synthesizer page is completely wasted programming time, worthless, because you cannot use the dumb thing for input. You access the page through the little piano keyboard icon on the track page, and just sit around plunking on the thing and hearing a sound. This "feature" is inexplicable. Has absolutely nothing to do with the actual recorder. Nothing. What in the world was the reason for adding this synthesizer to the current version? I cannot think of anything that has anything to do with using the app as a recorder. (7) As best I can tell, you cannot import files as the app advertises. You have no explanation at all how to try to access the WiFi interface and use the interaction. I figured the matter out, but I was just lucky (or stubbornly persistent). Then, I tried transferring one of my existing mp3 files from the computer to the app, because the app advertises "import" ability for anything that the iPhone recognizes. This simply is NOT TRUE. You can EXPORT files you have created with the app to the computer, but you cannot IMPORT files you have on your computer to the app on the iPhone. If you can, the author of the app better pony up an explanation guide or "How To" or something, somewhere, because I tried every trick in the book and could not load any files INTO the app that were not on there to start with already recorded with the iPhone speaker, and then saved out to the computer. I could go on, but will not further bore you. Suffice to say this app is history. Wasted disk space on my iPhone. Sure wish I could get a refund! I have been robbed. Not even close to a multitrack recorder in look, feel, or use--not by a long shot!

I LOVE IT--! BUT IT's also IMPOSSIBLE-!!!. This app is AWESOME-BUT IMPOSSIBLE to get tracks to your computer-!!! BOTH the light app AND the $9.99 app 'pretend' to 'act' like they will save to your computer via 'go to this web address' - -BUT IT CERTAINLY DOES NOT download to your pc-it actually DUMPS the track altogether-!!! Ahhhh-! OTHER THAN THIS MAJOR FLAW-THE APP IS AWESOME-!!! It worked GREAT the very first time I used it-!! Time yourself to your own music-it WON'T do that for your-and if your too lame to not be able to do that-then well-yah-it WON'T work for you-!!

Cheaters. They made the same app but better and have it seperate. I can't believe this! Charge an extra 2 bucks. So stupid.

Ugly but WORKS. I have this and the only other 4tracker avalible right now n although the interface is basic n the graphics just plain UGLY, this one is stable MUCH more stable. I use this one more.

Yuck!. Congratulations on making one of the worse apps out there! I tried to email the developper to get a refund but to no avail. This is a rip off that doesn't work. There are so many good apps out there that you shouldn't waste your time with this. Take it from a music pro. Nothing works on this and it's glitchy as hell...

Freeze!. I loved this app. Great tool for getting ideas out quickly, but the most recent update freezes my whole phone when the piano is loaded! Also, it erased all my previous recordings! What are you guys doing?!

such a great idea i'm not even going to be that harsh.... i've been waiting for someone to come out w/ a multi-track program for the iphone, and i view this as a proof of concept (though one that's not quite ready for the price). the sound's actually pretty good, but here are some features that need to be addressed: 1. there needs to be a way to name, "mix," and save to a combined audio track. ideally one would be able to upload this to a mac/pc, but at least be able to play back on the iphone w/o having to keep the four tracker tied up. 2. there needs to be a way to delete/clear all four tracks so you can get a clean work space for your next song. (UPDATE: DONE) 3. there needs to be individual playback level controls for each track (an when apple ever allows it, mic input level controls during recording). (UPDATE: DONE) good luck to the developer. the gauntlet has been thrown down, and i'm eager to see what folks come up with... UPDATE: The developer has added many of the features I've been wanting. REALLY looking forward to higher-end version promised on their website! YES!

Very usefull tool for musicians. It is not very often that I find an application that makes my life easier. This one allows me to practice without having to bring all my gear. It is a must for any musician. I really like the interface that looks like a old recorder, even the buttons look used, nice touch.

Truly Horrible App. DO NOT, repeat, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PILE OF GARBAGE! Yeah, you can record 4 tracks, but guess what? You cannot combine them into a single track! You can only save each one as a wav file. If I can't combine the tracks into a single track with the app, doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of the app?! Go buy music with your iTunes money instead.

on my phone!. let's get some perspective...i recorded a decent 3 track recording on my phone...and...it was easy. I got some lag when i tried to add a fourth track... and hopefully soon... we can control the individual track levels on playback... but this is a great app and i hope they keep on working on multitrack recorders...

Very Glitchy. Should not have been released yet- especially for 6 bucks. Impossible to record more than one track without freezing or glitching.

Lost Demos. Last update erased all my demos. Nice job! Less than 0 stars if possible.

Great!. This app is handy and fun for recording different parts. The recordings sound surpisingly good.. The most useful additions would be the abilty to save multiple 4-track songs (which I see is on the way) and the ability to pan tracks left to right so your mixdown is stereo. Of course syncing tracks and mixdown on the phone would be nice, but it's easy to transfer them the old fashioned way from headphone jack to a line in.. Look forward to further developments but this is a great start! Thanks!

Not exporting. The app is not letting me share my work and export my recording to sound cloud.

I wish I’d read the reviews. Thought it be a way to record simple demos. I was wrong. No support or tutorials. An expensive mistake.

Maybe...for .99 cents. ...this would deserve three stars. At $9.99 (!!)....Don't waste your money. Doesn't work well at all. update: new version freezes when piano sound is loaded. Great improvement.

Great, but incomplete. The lack of a bounce or digital export feature makes this app incomplete. What good is making recordings if you can't save them somewhere? Also, there's no confirmation when hitting the 'eject' button to erase a track. Combine that with a small button and big fingers and you end up with accidentally deleted tracks. Otherwise it's good enough.

Good app, hope it gets better.... I think the idea behind this app is great. The next update is supposed to have individual volume controls for each track which will certainly make it more useful. I do think that the fact I cannot save my projects and I cant export them to my computer makes this a little but of a let down for such a high price. That said, it has potential and the developer is working on things. I think it is worth the investment to help the developer out so we get these features in a future update. Though I give this 3 stars, I do recommend purchasing it.

Bounce to disc. Upliading your ideas to your computer sounds great but what customers are asking for is iPhone to consolidated 4 wave (or AIFF) files into A mono or stereo interleaved file which is a lot to ask of a smart phone. You just have to do it the old fashioned way. Patch out to a stereo receiver that takes auxillary in and record to tape. Or patch in to GarageBand thru headphone out into audio in and create an audio track to record to. I use Pro Tools so that's what I would use to bounce to. That how it's been done for that last 60 odd years.

2nd rate app at best!. I'm sorry I wasted my money on this app!

Buy a different one.. It comes down to this: I recorded a rhythm track. Then I recorded a lead track. They are immediately out of sync. Waste of money.

Good job!!. Really good job, and great idea, not trying to be negative, but why have a keyboard synth if u can't use it to record?? That would be great, and the track volume sliders are too small to move without hitting the wrong buttons, still needs a little work but I'm sure u guys will work hard to fix these issues! Thanks! Cant figure it out. Well i bought this app and the visual interface really confounds me. I see no "menu" button or "settings" how do i save a track then add another on top of it and save them? VERY CONFUSING TO ME AND EXPENSIVE! Your help would be appreciated !!!

4-tracks. That's it.. I have been waiting for an app that would let me overdub. This does that. However I would like/NEED some basic upgrades to my user experience: - track time / ability to skip around to the times I want. - WAV export for each or any tracks - Pan - looping ability w/ start and end time selectors That's it. I like the app for what it can do now but would LOVE it with these upgrades.

Nice App. I'd really like to see panning, a timeline/shuttle to make punching in a possibility and a bounce to stereo mix option. Once the wifi capability is enabled, I'll be able to put my tracks in my DAW. That will make me extremely happy!

The synthesizer is useless?!?. I bought this instead of "fourtrack" by Somoma because I wanted to be able to add ideas from a built in keyboard into the recording. This is not possible in the current version (2.0). When you play the keyboard, it comes out of the speaker next to the mic as it should. When it is time to record the keyboard however, the sound comes from the telephone-earpiece and the mic can barely pic it up at all. Sort of defeats the only real feature advantage that this program has over "fourtrack" and "gigbaby". I'll give a higher rating if this is fixed, and the solition had better be a free update, not a new program calls Tracks Deluxe that is being shown on this software maker's website.

Ugly but useful. A decent recording program mostly useful for importing and exporting wav files. Needs a trim feature and overdub. Synth is pretty useless bur sounds like a pretty reverby harpsichord. Overall decent app

It works but I want more..... I this is a cool app that has heaps of potential... but have a coupld of suggestions 1. Make the meters read from bottom to top 2. Make it so I can have more than one song ( 4 would be nice for the lite version 8) 3. Keep up the great work. I'm going to record a song on it later tonight.

Great app but needs a little more. Hey mate, first of all, this is a fantastic app and I love the simple/effective layout. However I'm gutted that I can't save my songs. I would not have paid money if I knew that there was no option to save. However the idea is great and I will be looking forward to all of the updates!!

Very disappointing and a ripoff. The app is not worth buying. It cannot have multiple projects nor can u merge keyboard sounds with recorded audio. Nor has the developer responded to emails regarding what they are doing about it. I would like a refund.

A Great Portable Recording Studio.. This 4 track is perfect for capturing those song ideas on the spot, in a high quality format which allows for further recording in other programs. There is even a built in synth and an easy to play guitar neck which help you to get your ideas down even without your own instrument. You can also import tracks to add to or play along with, and it really does double as a great practice tool as well. Capturing midi files of your recordings is also incredibly handy, but it's the great simple interface and real power that really makes this studio a great musical companion.

Does not work. This app is incredibly glitchy. It worked only twice for about a minute then promptly stopped working, never to resume.

Could be better. This is the first of the multitracks to appear on the iPhone but it is inadequate in it's current state. I'm curious to see how it develops but currently there are 2 main problems: a) there is no way to save sound files so you are stuck with one song. The other problem I've noticed is with the sync. The more tracks you have, the less in sync they are with each other.

Pretty Cool. Yup I gotta say this app is a lot of fun. Worth the $6 for sure. Looking forward to new features. 5 stars if it could: - Adjust pitch or add echo, reverb, chorus - the good ole basic sound tools... - Be able to hear the *recording* track as well as the playback tracks. Is that even possible? Does iPhone support using mic direct to headphones? Would be great. Especially on the initial recording. - Be able to record store multiple sessions or at least export them as WAVs or something. Otherwise fun little app! If this is a lite version I'm hoping there's some cool things to come. Update: have seen some sync issues.

Buy It. You won't be disappointed ! Very nice. It does plenty of what my Fostex did. I'm looking forward to more features.

iPad version?. I have this nifty app. Used to use it on my ipod, but now I have an ipad. Unfortunately this app doesn't do ipad mode, so it is 1/4 the size of the screen. I hope the author puts in an ipad mode.

Impressive!. I have to say: " I am impressed". It does what it says it would do and does it very well. Simple! Usable! A wish: to save my creation in MP3 format or WAV... and then move it in my computer; it would be nice and then I would use it more often. BRAVO!

Works as advertised, looking forward to future versions. Great little app that works as described and is easy to use. You can record one track at a time, listening to the other tracks as you record. You can "mute" a particular track by pressing the black speaker button on each track. Press the red button for each track to indicate the you're selecting that track for recording. Wish list: - Be able to save more than one recording. - Be able to export a recording into a format that could be played by iTunes. I'm using this app to write songs as well as test out vocal arrangements for my music group. Looking forward to future versions!
