Couldn’t get the lightbulb to connect. I bought this Phillips lightbulb, thinking it would be cool if I could control it with Bluetooth and wireless. Unfortunately I tried everything in the instructions and could not get it to work. I wish I could get my money back for the subscription. After receiving your reply to contact you to speak with someone via email, frankly I wouldn’t waste another minute of my time.

Limited use feature not working. It states on the subscription screen that you can use this app without subscribing. It will just have ads and it will be limited in features. Well, that doesn’t work. You click on the link to skip the subscription and it just recycles you back to the Page to pick the brand of bulbs you are using, and then back to the subscription screen again. I am not going to pay for something that I can’t test to see if it actually works with my bulbs and how well it works first.

😒. Y’all really charging a subscription fee to use a lightbulb.. it’s plenty of other smart bulb brands that believe spending your hard earned money on their bulb is enough that they won’t charge you a $65 fee just to use the app that runs the bulb.. 😏😒 for example, the Cync app is completely free and runs flawlessly.. if I could write zero stars, I would. Unfortunately, I have to give them one so here you go.

This is highway robbery!! And huge scam.. I should not have to pay to use a program for a light i already paid a bunch of money for!! As soon as i figure who to report rest assured i will. I bought the because it said you can turn it on an off with a cell phone. So i wouldn’t fall in the middle of the night. No where does it say you have pay to be able to use it!!

Difficult and confusing to set up.. Constant pop up asking if you want to buy a membership to even have access to the features it offers. I can’t get it to connect to my wifi, which it is right above. I’ve had many different brands of bulbs, this is the least user friendly. I’d rather buy Govee , it was so easy to set up. I will be returning this. I understand why it was half off now.

Whats going on. I have had this app, when i first set it up i had gotten premium, it was amazing. I liked all the theme colors, a month or two later it stoped working. Whenever i tried to change the theme the led strip would only stay one color, white. Ive tried to change the colors and my bluetooth but no luck.

Robbery. Horrible customer service. I downloaded the app for instructions. They asked for a service plan & there was no way to back out unless you paid. I’ve emailed support twice & haven’t received any response. Needless to say, I haven’t gotten any money refunded either. I’m recently widowed, trying to figure out how to survive alone & got suckered into purchasing something I don’t want.

Scam - Stay Away. This app is a total scam. I bought a smart light set up from a company with its own brand name and App. When I went to searches for it in the app store, this app showed up at the top of my search result (did not see it was sponsored search result). After opening it it immediately went to the subscription options and one of them was "Lifetime" for $49. I went for it with apple pay before realizing this was not the actual app for my light manufacturer. I contacted their support through the app twice and still haven't heard in days. I will have to dispute the charge with my bank. Oh and I did try the app features and connecting to my new lights. It did show as successfully connected but none of the color or scene changes worked...In summary, this was a total scam. Took my money, no response from support and the app features don't even work. Stay away!!!

What does it offer?. I understand you want me to get the paid version but what does it even allow me to do? Every single button I click it tells me to get the paid version. At least give me a 10 second show of what the paid version is. As it is I can’t even turn my lights to a different color with this app, I basically have to trust that it works but after seeing all reviews I find it hard to believe it’s any good.

What a Rip Off. I paid $50 because I thought I needed this app to control my new kitchen lights. No. I should have scrolled down one app. The REAL Cync app was there and it is FREE. This app has difficulty adding new lights and getting them to all work together. It never did add my 3rd light. I set a schedule for my lights and it NEVER WORKED!! And then I almost spent another $300 on an apple homepod because this app wouldn’t link to Alexa and I thought I was using the manufacturer. Luckily I checked. This is hands down the WORST app I’ve ever used, much less paid $50 for. Terrible. I even emailed the help desk a few days ago and have heard NOTHING back at all. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS APP!!

AWFUL APP. This app stops working constantly, you will be forced to delete and re-install the app monthly if you are lucky. When you do will have to set everything back up, which is incredibly difficult and time consuming. Not to mention you have to pay for it, I’d highly suggest purchasing bulbs that do not require the use of this app.

Im not subscribing to use lightbulbs. Basic functionality should be free. The lightbulb cant even function as advertised on the packaging without paying a recurring fee. I dont even know what on the manufacturers end warrants a recurring fee. I might pay a single time for an app that gives a suite of controls, but Id never subscribe. I already paid for your physical merchandise which should just work.

Terrible Rip Off. Absolutely disappointing experience. I bought Govee lights for my TV and installed them. They worked great for about 5 minutes until I followed instructions to calibrate the lights in the app. As soon as I downloaded the app, all the lights turned red and will not interact with the screen. Every time I click on anything in the app it takes me to the screen to buy a membership and will not allow me to use any app features. I will be returning this product because the app is clearly a cheap rip off to steal $5 for a weekly membership any time I need to change anything with this product.

Have to pay to turn lights on/off ?? 😭. I understand a company being money hungry but hiding the ability to turn your lights on and off behind a paywall is insanity. I can MAYBE understand changing the color but to jt turn them off i gotta pay 50 bucks ?? Straight greed. Besides the oblivious hoggish attitude this company has its a good app !! Doesnt work completely but i think thats maybe on my end or the brand of lights.

Terrible: They don’t tell you that you have to buy a subscription.. So, I bought this smart plug and brought it home to use as a timer for some lights. On the box and on all of the promotional materials in the store for this item, there is no indication that you have to pay anything other than the purchase price of the smart plug. However, when you get home and attempt to set it up through the app, you find out that you have to purchase a subscription. This is nowhere stated on any of the materials that come with the device. You only find out about this after you have already purchased it. It’s terrible service and misleading marketing.

Steals money!!!!. Do not buy these lights. If you’ve already bought them return them now and look for something else. This app wants you to subscribe, when you do, you have access to lights for 30 seconds then forgets your subscription and makes you pay again. SMH that there are companies out there like this and doing this to people. Absolutely horrid and they should be shut down.

Not way to use. First the unpaid version is very frustrating but getting only removes ads. It has no way to schedule my lights. I have to manually turn them on each time I use them. Install was difficult with small screws. I used wood screws. Attachment barely keeps lights attached. Also I think it could have used zipties. The type I got could not be plugged into each other. That was disappointing. Lights are on I’ll let you know how long they last me.

Nothings free.. I have never in my life seen something so ridiculous. It forces you to pay money just to change the color of your lights. It doesn’t mention this anywhere on the box and I have already bought and put up these lights and now have to pay $50 just to change the color. Total scam!! I recommend never buying lights thru this company.

Confusing, constantly asks you to subscribe. This app is disgusting. It constantly asks you to subscribe and the “limited version” seems to do nothing. When I search for my brand (which was listed in the description) and hit “next” it brings up the subscription page. When I hit “continue with limited version” it takes me back to the search with my brand selected. What does this mean? It means there is no respect to the user, and I’m staying far away from this app.

Waste of Money. Purchased the six month subscription then decided not to renew only for it to automatically take the money out of my card. So when I decided to at least put the subscription to work and got the app again it says I’m not subscribed. I’m also now having issues connecting the light strip to the app which wasn’t a problem before. This app basically just took my money and I can’t even use it.

doesnt even connect after paying. this is the only company that makes you pay to use the app, and nothing in the listing says you have to pay. A scam, and even after I paid it wouldnt even connect. Yes my bluetooth is on and my wifi. I tried turning them off and back on and plugging and unplugging, nothing worked. Please fix daybetter connection glitch :(

Review addition. On top of all the other problems I’ve been having, the app has been telling me that I have no lights connected. They light up as if they are when I first open the app, but immediately gray out when I try to use a function. It’s been this way for 2-3 months now. Be smarter than me. Do NOT purchase the paid version and return the lights to the store!!!!

Super difficult and hard to work. These lights are super hard to get to work from a regular light switch and from the remote. Directions are not easy to follow and it appears you have to purchase additional equipment to use the remote. When it's your only light source you don't want to have to pull out your phone and open the app just to turn the lights on and off or dim them.

False advertising. I see a 75% off Black Friday ad on the apps listing on the all store but I see no sale prices for the service. Also there is a free trial button. Free trial typically means you get to try the full version and all the features prior to purchasing a subscription but I guess the free trial is the limited version which only gives me the full subscription purchase page every time I try to use a feature. If I can’t trust you to pitch an offer accurately and not factually false, how am I supposed to trust you with my money?

Not very user friendly. App is not actually free which was annoying, I feel like I over paid by A LOT for how little control I feel like I have for the lights. hard to control all lights with one button to turn them all on or off in a room typically works for most of them but every time I’ve tried 1 or 2 gets left on or off. Can save colors but they randomly disappear where I have to re save a color. Even though I paid sometime when I go to the app it acts like I didn’t and I have to go to setting and hit restore purchase. The “scenes” I feel like could be better and when you make one you can not delete it and if you make more than 1 and you want to turn it on it turns on all of the ones you made and doesn’t actually change the color of the lights

Complete rip off. There are six other brands out there that do not force you to pay money just to turn on and off their lightbulbs. I’m an electrician and work with every other smart manufacturer out there and have used every other brand and or smart technology and this is the only brand that I have ever run into that will not allow you to use the application unless they get some kind of money, all that tells me is this company is a money grad and you’re not able to schedule times you can’t put them on Timers. There is no automation. There is a lot that this is lacking for a application that forces you to spend money used in govee or Gosund treatlife pretty Google home Alexa Siri there’s a lot of other smart technology out there that does not force you to spend money.

This app is horrible.. I have had the lights for 3 or 4 years and they have worked amazing the whole time, but my remote has broke so I saw that when I got the box it said there was an app. So o downloaded this app and you can’t connect your lights unless you pay!! I don’t know what I should do. I may have to buy different lights by a different brand. Please don’t use this app, it’s terrible.

ridiculous fake control unless you subscribe. “continue with limited version” option is not only just ads ads ads but doesn’t even allow turning the light on/off, which it did at first (until I turned it off the first time). Seems like major mistake to try Hue system thinking the “limited” (free) option would do ANYTHING (like turn it on/off). #fail

Not very practical and overpriced.. I am a NORMAL PERSON. I was trying to install this app for a led light trim I put on my ceiling. The app welcomes you with a screen asking you to buy memberships at very expensive prices. I cannot remember as I am writing this, but I know the rices were ABSURD. yearly I think the price was about forty dollars just to control lights. I just wanted to make better colors than the ones offered on the remote. The lights I got were govee. They try to trick you into thinking that you are lucky when it makes you pay fifty dollars for a lifetime pro version of the app. This offer has always been there and always will be as a sales gimmick. I recommend using another app or just using the built in colors. I am not able to pay the prices they are and when my parents tried to see if there was a way to do a family account from multiple devices, it wouldn’t. It makes you pay per device controlling the lights. I would rather not have to ask my dad to change my led color every single time. Please make good choices and plan ahead to see if it’s worth it for you.

If 0 stars was an option…... Wise would be the company that rolls out a limited option app that offers bare bones options instead of being promoted to review an app before even using it because you have to pay for it weekly. It takes stones to ask somebody for their credit card information before even trying the app. $4-$8 a week and i can’t even use a limited service on the app? Get bent! Can’t even view the privacy policy to determine how/if data is used/shared/sold or how to opt out.

Have to return the lightbulbs now. Nowhere on the box of lightbulbs did it mention having to pay for an expensive app to use the lightbulbs. Trying to set the lightbulbs up on the app’s limited version with ads is fruitless, and worse, infuriating. It simply won’t let you. They take advantage of people looking forward to setting up the cool new features of the bulbs they just bought and scam them into an expensive, ongoing subscription. No thank you. I will be returning my lightbulbs. Shame to GE for getting in bed with this lousy app and for the false advertising on their packaging. Do better.

FRAUDULENT APP!. This app is completely misleading and fraudulent. It claims to be compatible with GE/Cync smart lights and even appears as the top search result for the product, but it is neither functional nor the correct app for these devices. To make matters worse, it requires you to select a subscription before you can even see that it doesn’t work at all. This is clearly a deceptive tactic to get users to pay for something that provides no value. I strongly advise others to avoid this app. It’s a waste of money and time, and it’s frustrating that such a misleading app is allowed to stay on the App Store. I hope this is removed, and refunds are issued to those who were tricked into downloading it.

Do not use this app, it’s a scam for money.. After searching for the Cync app for the GE light bulbs, this popped up on top and I didn’t realize it was the wrong one. It requires a subscription. The first red flag should have been the offers. $4.99 per week?! How who would do that? So of course you choose the $49 lifetime subscription. It designed to get the one time payment. The app is crap and doesn’t give all the features you get out of the official Cync app. The second red flag should have been the 4.3 rating and then going through the reviews and seeing the majority are 1 star. All the 5 star reviews are broken English. I’ve read that I probably won’t hear back from the customer support about a refund, so I’ll probably be trying to dispute the charge

I don’t know what part of functional you would consider limited. But I can’t find a way to use the app at all without paying it says continue with limited functionality but limited implys there is in fact a function that you can use without payment it doesn’t matter what option you click it sends you to payment screen, including the “get free trial button” obviously false or misleading advertising and no use for such a thing

Wrong app, uses logo and name to scam. so i was grocery shopping at my local jewel, and i saw these lights. thinking about how i don’t have an actual ceiling light, just a few lamps i thought of this purchase as something simple and easy, so i take it home and realize how much of a bucking fitch it is to set the lights up after i cleaned my walls. after that hour long of lifting my sore arms i come to find my phone wont connect to the lights, i realized that this was the wrong app that was claiming the “cync” brand and logo but come to find that they took money from me to not even work. total scam do not purchase. the lights i purchased are c by ge, this is not the app they will force you to pay just so you can not use the lights.

It’s good but few flaws. My app was amazing it connected well and everything and I could change it to my favorite colors, but then out of know where last week it stoped working it wouldn’t let me change the color it would only let me change the brightness. Developers if y’all are seeing this can you please help me?

Left In The Dark. I downloaded this app because the bulb box said so. Upon opening it just takes you through a constant loop of solicitation for monthly fees. No way am I going to pay a monthly fee to turn my lights on and off AFTER buying a bulb to turn lights on and off. Even if one chooses [limited use] the app just continues a never ending loop back to monthly fee pitches. Bought the bulb yesterday taking it back today!

MONEY MONEY MONEY. It is terrible that consumers buy a good brand of EXPENSIVE “Smart Lights” and not be able to control them without paying for a subscription. One would think that a FREE App would be available to control the lights after spending almost $200 for FOUR BULBS. I am a fool for wasting that much money for FOUR BULBS that I cannot use without paying a service fee of $5/weekly, $40 every six months, or $60/lifetime. That is very greedy and bad for business. It is an app for controlling the LIGHTS. What a joke!

Absolutely terrible app. Instructions say, “go to the Home page”, “ go to Settings page”, “tap Calibration”. I can find no “settings page” and no options for “calibration”. I have even wasted $5 thinking I guess this company ropes you in for more cash by forcing you to subscribe in order to calibrate your light strip to the TV, but nope - still doesn’t have a Settings page or a calibrate option that I can find. Losing my mind on this!

App is complete garbage. I can’t even connect my lights before being asked to pay for an auto-renewing subscription? How in the heck am I supposed to evaluate the app? This is nothing more than a scam. I’ll bet it wouldn’t even work to begin with. If these developers were honest, I’d be allowed to at least try it before being thrown into some subscription. And $12/month? Are you kidding me? Absolute waste of time and money.

SCAM WARNING. This is a scam because I downloaded the app. It wouldn’t let me connect my LED lights to the application. It wouldn’t let me change the brightness or color of the LED lights unless I bought the weekly or monthly package to change the color/brightness And once I bought the one-time payment of 50 dollars thinking that it would be easier to change the brightness, color and scene, the funny thing is that I thought it would be easier, but it only made it more complicated. I couldn’t change the color of the scene when I chose a scene it would turn bright white. I didn’t understand. I kept clicking on different and still gave me the same results bright white and yes, I’m gonna complain about it because I paid $50 just to changed the brightness this is absolutely outrageous unbelievable and disappointing please no one get this app it’s a waste of energy and money

SCAM - Avoid. I’m shocked that this app had a 4.x rating. If I could have negative stars, it would apply here. Free version is inadequate to tell if the paid app meets your needs and the paid app isn’t any better than the free app. It’s a very expensive way to turn on your lights or set their color one by one. Scenes by area doesn’t exist or work and half of the time devices run via API don’t work. Stay away from this app at all costs.

FALSE ADVERTISING. I went to the app store to download the CYNC app, not this app. I even clicked on the official CYNC App and this app downloaded instead and I was unaware. They made me pay $50 for a lifetime subscription and it wouldn’t even connect all of our lights. I only realized the wrong app downloaded after I went back to the app store when my husband downloaded the app and showed me something that was not the app I downloaded. I want my money back NOW!!!

The worst. Have to pay to use my lights?!?!. Unbelievable. You have to download this app to use the light bulb and then the app forces you to subscribe $13 a month! There is no free version. I’m baffled at why in the world anyone would ever think it would be logical to make a homeowner PAY a subscription to use the lightbulbs they already purchased! Deleting this app and returning these ridiculous lightbulbs. They are the opposite of “smart”.

Disappointed. The app says it works with CYNC. It does not. It works with Govee, though. The reason I know that is because my the app linked to someone else’s device in my apartment building. I emailed the company that makes this app about my issue and they have not responded $35 a year not well spent. I will be deleting this immediately.

Not worth it. This advertised doing so much more than it did. Normally I’m a loyal GE customer, but I switched to the Phillips smart lightbulb. Way better: more intuitive app, FREE app!, better settings, brighter than the GE, easier to connect, and fun dynamic settings. I wish I could get a refund for purchasing this app. Returning the bulb and telling my friends not to get it. I’m disappointed, especially that I paid for it. This was not advertised on the bulb box.

Wack. Their shady. I tried the free version and it will not allow me to I add any of my lights without having to subscribe to their service . That’s false advertising as well as price gauging. You should warn people that you must buy your service in order to participate in your offering. What a waste of time and a download now you have access to all of my personal information and for what!? You can hack into my financial portfolio to find out I have nothing !? This isn’t cool and shame on you.

This app is a bad joke.. I find it deeply frustrating that a product as simple as a light requires an app with a subscription fee to access full functionality. This feels like dark UX design at its worst. The frequent pop-up windows prompting me to buy a subscription are intrusive and create a sense of discomfort, as if I’m using the app incorrectly. This aggressive tactic undermines the user experience and leaves me questioning the value of the product. A light should simply work without feeling like I’m being nickel-and-dimed for basic control features.

Said free. Ok, it said “download the free app”. And it’s right, it didn’t cost me anything to download the app. However, it’s not free to use the app. They gave me hope for a work around, but all it did was walk me around in circles. Ie. Right back to the sign up for your subscription page. Taking the bulb back. I suppose some would be willing to sign up for the subscription. It does have some really cool features that I can live without.

Unable to use limited version with Philips hue. This app will not work. When it asks to add a light, you select the option to add Phillips and it takes you to a screen that has a big button for you to subscribe or in tiny words underneath continue to limited version. When you select that it just recycles you back to the select brand screen. I have restarted and tried this process several times, so this is obviously not a bug and is an intended feature. I am not paying for this app just to be able to turn on a lightbulb.

Don’t get this app its a scam. I downloaded this app, thinking it was for the Philips LIFX lights. Got frustrated and was about to return the lights because I refuse to pay $80 to control them. It’s not the actual Phillips LIFX app which is FREE to use. Disgusting scam made by thieves.

Waste of space. This was a complete waste of money. Lights up white when you plug it in, but setting it up to be useable was not possible via the app that didn’t have this item as an option. Do not buy this item.

Overly complicated app for light control. For whatever reason, everytime the lights turn on they are on the first setting I ever used. If I click a new color or setting and save and turn them on and off. They always turn on at the original colors and pattern and need to be changed manually… Every. Day.

Extremely Misleading. I purchased an LED strip light that was advertised to use this application to control the lights to match certain themes, such as holidays. However it was never mentioned in the description of the product that I needed to spend 5-6x the amount of money to use most of the features on the app, than I did on the actual led strip itself. The only thing this app lets you do for free is turn on the lights. What a waste of money, time, and effort. This should be made clear to the customer and properly advertised in the product. Extremely misleading, disappointing, and egregious customer service.

It should not be allowed. The app in which you are intended to use is 100% free where as the scam app is asking for a ridiculous monthly fee in which they know you will not sign up for while at the same time if you accept the agreements that pop up before anything alerts you about any type of payment then you are now a Victim of Personal Data Theft.

Duplicate super expensive apps !. The author of this app have published multiple similar apps with different name and branding. Same app, same subscription, same price, same goal : Make you pay a super expensive subscription for a basic bluetooth remote app. Apple clear up the AppStore and remove all these duplicate apps !

Would give 0 if I could!. Glitchy, very uninformative, seems to require a subscription just to link a light to my Google Home Controller. Very poor instructions, and ineffective waste of time and money!!!

Absolutely TERRIBLE!!!. Unless you want to pay to even connect your light don’t get. They should put on the box at Walmart that you have to pay a subscription. Terrible and extremely dissatisfied. Will be returning the light to Walmart.

Crap.. Not as simple as advertised on box. To complicated. No phone help. Don’t feel like hours of searching for user friendly instructions. Don’t purchase!

Short lived.. Definitely do not purchase the lifetime subscription because the app will stop the lights and there’s no assistance and restoring connectivity to the lights not worth purchasing it as there’s no customer support worse app ever

Terrible. Terrible app! Wants you to buy monthly subscription and won’t go past that screen for the limited free version! I have seen about 50 ads!

No connection. Light bulb never connects to Bluetooth WiFi also does not work Can not select a company from drop down And unless you buy a subscription nothing works Packaging does not state that to use a subscription is required

Rubbish App. Don’t waste your time to install this app. You can’t even get basic feature like on and off without getting subscription message. Basically, you can’t use the app without subscription.

Confusing. This is way more confusing than other apps I’ve used and it isn’t working with Alexa as advertised on the box. Plus why do I have to have a subscription when I just want to walk in and say, “Alexa, turn on lights please.”? So dumb.

Terrible app. It won’t let you set up the lightbulbs unless you buy the premium. I’m returning these Philips smart LED light bulbs because the app won’t let you set them up with the free version. It keeps bringing you back to the page to select a plan.

Confusing. I’ve wasted my hard earned money on this light fixture and it will not connect to my Bluetooth. Even purchased the weekly plan and that doesn’t work. Wasted money and time.

Paying out the gate. I was so excited to get my new lightbulbs. But was disappointed when I downloaded the app and you have to buy a subscription up front. Smh Just ridiculous!

Didn’t expected to pay more just for a controller. When you buy nobody prepares you to pay other 50 just for a controller if you want to full functionality of your lights

Scam. Complete scam. No where ok the bulb packaging does it say you will need to pay for the app or you can literally do nothing. I will continue just to use my Phillips hue hub for whole house and return these bulbs. Complete waste of time and money. I would give no stars if I could.

Not Worth the Subscription. A subscription to control lights is bad enough but you make the install process so challenging I have to give you a very poor rating.

Piece of garbage. Riddled with beg pop up’s. All I wanted to do was connect to a smart bulb. It keeps popping up ads to subscribe to ridiculously expensive plans and prompts to install a bunch of other unnecessary apps. Avoid this crap.

Very disappointed. I should have read the reviews first. Nowhere on the packaging said I would have to purchase a subscription to use all features for the TV strip lighting. On the plus side set up and tear down was very easy.

Just a light!. I can’t believe it cost me a subscription to run a light bulb that changes colour. No mention of it anywhere until the download the app ; ( I will be cancelling asap. Workability great, cost to play not so good.

Misleading for Wiz App. This is a very misleading app that makes you believe it’s the app for the Wiz light bulb but it's not. I paid for the subscription, thinking it was the correct app and there’s no way to get my money back, contact them, etc..

It’s a scam. First, you need to pay just to turn off and on the light. I can't change the colors, I can only use the remote to change the color! It’s ridiculous! The music mode doesn’t even work.

Make The app better. Make the app better. Try not to make everyone had to pay to me and that connect to the phone that’s stupid I will never use your app again unless you do that

LIES. This app appears at the top of the listing for “Wiz Lighting” and then DOES NOT work. Bulb would not pair. Thinking maybe I needed to pay for the subscription, I did ($50 for lifetime) and then still didn’t work. I want my money back. What a scam.

Complete Scam. Do NOT purchase this app. It pays to show up at the top of the list when you search for any lightbulb controlling app. It then forces you to pay for it to use it and does not work at all. I will be asking for a refund.

Two of my lights won’t change colors. I just bought three lights yesterday. Only one working properly. I’ve turn them on and off I’ve discounted them from my app and put them back in my app now I’m just frustrated.

Who wants to subscribe to lights!? Stupidest thing ever.. Why would I ever want a subscription to a lightbulb. Jesus Christ everything has a subscription today. It only tells you about the need to subscribe after the hardware is fully installed on your tv. Absolute garbage.

In-app purchases means having a subscription.. I downloaded the app to see if it was compatible with my LED lights and it wants me to sign up for a subscription before I even able to test it.

One year later.. Had to re-download the app, and now the lights won’t connect. I’m sure it has something to do with now having to pay for a premium version of the app. Buyer beware.

Paid subscription for lights????. Paid $300 for bulbs only to bring them home and find out that in order to use these expensive bulbs, you have to PAY FOR A SUBSCRIPTION TO THE APP just to use them. Returning all these bulbs.

Trash. Waste of money!!! Everytime I load it on my phone it disconnects for when I want to use it the next time. I wouldn’t purchase again and would discourage others from purchasing!

Could be a great app. Easy to connect multiple brands of lights, nice scenes, could be really nice. But scenes quit working as soon as you get out of the app or shut phone screen off. Lights can only be connected to one area at a time. No Alexa support.

Totally Misleading. Worthless app. Sure you can turn the light on/off through it but that’s all without spending $13 a month to control it. It’s only a “smart” LED if you pay extra. Taking it back for a refund.

Doesn’t work without subscription.. This app is a trap. It doesn’t work without paying for a subscription. The free trial doesn’t work. Pushing any icon takes you back to subscription page. No way to add sources without paying for subscription.

Can’t customize. I think this app is so basic and not worth the money. I should be able to set up custom light shows and durations all the preloaded stuff just flashes like it’s trying to give me epilepsy

Fake Universal App. Duped into subscribing before realizing that it won’t connect lights properly or allow Alexa Connection through the app. No response from developer after contacting them for refund. A $50 lifetime lesson learned.

Tricky. Pops up when searching the Govee app and has you pay a one time subscription of $50 only to later find out it’s not actually the correct app

Scam app - DO NOT DOWNLOAD. You can’t connect any lights without having to pay for a subscription. This pops up first because they pay to put it on top. Use the app that actually belongs to your smart light/device

Not great. I could not get it to connect to my device. You have to have a subscription prior to connection. I requested a refund within minutes of subscription once I could not get it to link with my lights. No refund yet. Not a happy customer.
