Pixel Starships 2 Comments & Reviews 2026

Way to many notifications. This could be a really fun game but they went way overboard on notifications. Do I care if my crew ran out of coffee? No. Coffee isn’t even a resource you can make in the game it’s just an excuse to nag a player to play the game. Maybe I want a game I can play on my schedule, not every 5 minutes every day… seriously I just closed the app and I get 3 more notifications about BS that has absolutely nothing to do with gameplay. You didn’t even fix the problems from the original pixel starships - there’s only one strategy… go for the reactor. It’s got low health and if it goes down all the ships systems power off.

Huge Fan Suggesting Direction. As a huge fan of Pixel Starships, I was super excited for the release of Pixel Starships 2. Right now it feels like a beta release and I’m fine with that as long as the performance continues to improve. My biggest suggestions are: profile aesthetic customization, and ship aesthetic customization. For a game with lots of visual updates it feels like the most impactful ones are missing. Personalized aesthetics are really important I want other players to click on my profile and see all the hard work I’ve put in, it’s another way to compete beyond the PVP matchmaking. I would also love to see a skill tree of some kind that further differentiates my ship and play style from everyone else. Other than that, I’ve seen lots of other great comments with other suggestions, but those are the ones I feel strongly about.

Can’t upgrade ship level. I’m at ship level eight trying to upgrade to ship level nine, everything that needs to be done to upgrade this ship is done But for some reason the button to upgrade the ship says max. Shields are supposed to be level nine and they are currently at level 10. Crew quarters are supposed to be two of them at level four and I have three of them all at level six. I found a button to contact app support, but it brings you to a website that is fully grayed out and you can’t do anything. This is ridiculous.

Abort Captain!. This game should not have been released in the current state it in. Moving around is hard, instructions are vague and multiple things disappear off the screen like menus, planets and rooms you are trying to build. Even zooming into your ship makes the screen on unreadable because it increases the size of the planets and things around you so you just have incomplete words hanging in Space. In game chat is filled with other captains complaining about the same issues. Save yourself some time and trouble wait for a few patches. Maybe then this will become a galaxy you will want to explore.

Unfinished & Over priced. Is it fun for a while? Yes. Is it pay to win? Definitely. Is the cash shop overpriced? Definitely. Is the game a finished product? Nope. The devs are definitely good at making a fun game, but whoever is calling the shots is ruining this game by their greed and they will lose a lot of the player base.

The Sequel Nobody Asked For. What do you do when you have a gem of a game that you’re running into the ground? Why you go make soulless unity clone of it obviously! PSS2 is the inbred cousin of PSS1; ugly, disease (bug) ridden, and not invited to the family reunion. Anywhere that PSS1 had charm and creativity, PSS2 has budget unity assets and obtuse mechanics. Beyond just spitting in the face of the original, PSS2 was rushed out (likely to meet deadlines set by grant funding or simply in a desperate attempt to generate more money) in a literally unplayable state. The game, simply put, is not functional. The UI is even clunkier than PSS1, and that’s saying something. Intrusive popups and constant reminders to pay real money for in game currency/buffs are rampant. Nothing is explained properly, and the player is simply expected to have fun in the face of overwhelming confusion. The pacing of the tutorial is beyond horrendous. The character avatars have no soul. The gameplay is simultaneously too slow to be engaging and too fast to be understood by a new player. I’ve only scratched the surface of the issues. Avoid this game at all costs. Even if it was playable, it wouldn’t be worth the time.

Why is my language in Spanish even tho I set the setting in English. Hey so I’ve been playing and my text when I talk to people is set in Spanish or any other language but English I wanna know how to fix this

Extremely glitchy. Can’t stay logged in for more than 15 minutes. If you can get to 15 minutes before everything but the UI goes black and you can’t do anything. Then there’s tons of login issues with several different errors. You’ll get one error, hit ok, then get another error, hit ok and get the same error 3 more times, then get a new error. Sometimes in the galaxy screen, you’re unable to interact with objectives. Overall it’s a great concept with very poor execution.

Interesting just don’t get it.. I’m a fan of complex games, but this one I just don’t understand what I’m supposed to be doing. I don’t see that this title is overly complex just ….. well no need to repeat myself. The graphics are nice. It’s worth checking out and the players are helpful without the typical toxicity of other chat enabled titles. As much as NetEase Eve Echoes infuriates me with monetization and gambling I guess I’m just stuck with it. :(

Can’t proceed forward. Reached a point and the game wont let me purchase or build anything. So now I’m just stuck. Game is fun and fresh with the new visuals but still really buggy. Found I would have to wither go to a different window or close the game entirely to continue to proceed through things, but now none of that is working.

Potential. The game is fun but has a ton of bugs and glitches. Ive also noticed that progression is quite slow and the difficulty picks up a little too quickly when following story missions. I like the new systems and overall quality of life changes. The game just needs more updates. Ive also noticed that the characters you can unlock dont seem that cool or interesting when compared to the first game. Looking forward to more updates and fixes.

Bringing back the Past. Game is fun, my only issue is I’ve set the language to English but often the “people” talking or the chat option for the main quest are in another language. Resetting the language does not fix the issue.

Great game. It’s similar to the first one but better graphics and a bit more to do

Woo. It’s even better than the first the combat is easier to understand and the ships are a lot faster and fun

Ads already!?!?!?. I didn’t get very far before an ad was thrown at my face. Basically choose my look, installed a mining drill, and used it to attack a tutorial satellite before I was given one of those game ads you have to play through to get out of. I couldn’t even tell if I liked this game to pay to have the ads removed. This is a huge “NO” for me. If I could give zero stars I would. Mobile gamers beware!!!!

Excited for the future. The game remains unoptimized in a nostalgic way that reminds me of pixel starships 1, random text and visual errors that litter the game in mostly harmless ways, but I can’t wait to see the future of polishing for the game

Someone needs to be fired. Huge fan of the first one. I still play it and really like the game. The first one still has a few bugs but whatever. This game is almost impossible to play. It’s like they never tested it once. From what I can tell, the only new thing here is the O2 room and how you research and train crew. It’s the same game as PSS1 but in 3D. What a joke, y’all should be ashamed and embarrassed for releasing this.

Buggy. It’s a good game. A lot more detail in it than in the first one, but it’s very buggy sometimes the galaxy map doesn’t load and the ship doesn’t load and on one of the missions where you fight you’re first ufo the game doesn’t progress I’m just stuck on the same thing

Fun Game. Game is unplayable since last update, crashes at the start of combat. Great game when its working. Servers are the bery definition of laggy, savvy soda cheaps out on servers. Both starship pixel games are ultra laggy.

Technical issues. I’m just spending about 2 1/2 hours playing the game. I am now unable to open it because of a 401 not found error. This encapsulates the entire experience so far where the game is clearly plagued by a number of server, latency issues, unresolved bugs, which have rooms disappear until you close and reopen the game, Timeouts that crashed the game or install it so you have to close and reopen it after every battle And just generally poor functionality. Another example is being able to do any type of planetary mission is entirely up to whether or not the game loads properly. As that option can disappear and then reappear. It’s a shame that the game is currently in the state, but it does have potential and I plan on revisiting it in several months.

More Bugs Than Helldivers. I enjoyed the first game and I’ve been enjoying this one, but the biggest issue is that I am constantly running into bugs. *Disclaimer before I start the list, they aren’t guaranteed to happen every time, but they happen enough to write about.* I open the shop, stuck on black screen, close and relaunch. I open the galaxy map, stuck on black screen, close and relaunch. I try to get rid of extra crew member, “You have reached the crew member limit”, close and relaunch. I get stuck in room placement and can’t interact, close and relaunch. I try to place a room and it doesn’t place but eats the cost. Overall I’ve been enjoying the game but the sheer number of bugs I’ve encountered have been slowly ruining it for me. If I didn’t have to reopen the game 5-6 times in 5 minutes it would be great. Looking forward to patches for the game, and will update me review then.

Great Game. Looking forward to bug patches. Have always loved pixel starships and this game is fun with great potential. Only note is the the game does need some bug fixes. For example, the upgrade to construct multiple things at once doesn’t work right now (or at least not for me), so please work on on the bugs devs.

SavySoda is currently incompetent.. Edit: After several bugfixes, the game is mostly in a playable state. I can't in good conscience give more than 3 stars after that launch and the current state, but hopefully Savy will improve. PSS at its' core is very fun, but Savysoda has a lot of room to improve. I played the original Pixel Starships for a very long time. I was top 100 at one point, a member of a top fleet, and loved the game and its' unique concept a lot. It was one of a kind, and had a lot of depth despite its flaws. Naturally, I was very excited for PSS2. PSS2 is currently unplayable. The game does not work. There are multiple soft locks that require you to close and re-open the app. Attempting PVP will almost always give you the "Another Captain has cleaned up this area" bug, which is another softlock. I cannot review PSS2 any more than that because I cannot experience anything else in the game. Xin and SavySoda should be ashamed they allowed something with their name on it to release like this. Pathetic.

Fun. I like building my ship and organizing the subsystems where I want them. It’s a great game to play passively. I played the first game and it was fun too.

Great but buggy. It’s a great game I loved the first one and I’m sure I’ll love the second but there are so many bugs and glitches for example if you upgrade your ship parts of the scaffolding I’m assuming glitches through your ship and blocking your view.

Still needs work. I tried it for a little bit , still bugs and glitches , like can’t move stuff around so have to restart the game , other things that freeze up , once they get all the glitches out the game it should be a fun game , for now going back to first one

Nice upgrade from the first. Still early days.. 3 stars for attention but happy to change later. I’m loving the updates so far and I’m excited to see it grow. I would really appreciate the battle camera to not flip when you’re swapping what ship you’re looking at. It makes no sense that it flips and then pans, just make it pan. Also the skybox is noticeable to me in the regular ship builder, a skydome would be a better option along with having other player ships moving instead of being stuck in one spot, a little weird.

Keep getting the same error. Honestly if anything it’s not really THAT bad cause it’s simply uninstalling and reinstalling the game every time, but error 401 keeps popping up when I keep messing around with my ship. Otherwise it’s a pretty decent game, the PVP is kinda annoying if only cause I’m assuming I just need to get an upgrade I haven’t gotten yet though it seems based on how far you’ve upgraded your ship vs what your score is.

Extremely buggy game. The game is riddled with bugs. First the connection problems, the WebSocket errors keep popping up. Second is graphics - everything just stop responding randomly, and no way closing the dialog, notifications, etc. the building progress disappears and no way seeing what’s being built right now.

5 star cause i have hope. 5 star good game but i cant equip anything pretty frustrating. Let us target rooms freely with as many guns as we want. when you take away gameplay options from a game it drives everyone away. no one wants the boring ahhh vanilla trash same meta on every ship. you have a chance to make a good game we’ll see

Returning vet from ps1. I loved pixel starships 1 and was overjoyed to see 2 in the app store recently. Having a ball so far. Very impressed with the interface and 3d fx.

Buggy at the moment. Buggy but has potential. Basically the first Pixel Starships but with some game upgrades. The game is currently buggy and fails to load/stops loading every now and then but with dev updates it should be great.

Open world. Only thing I wish u guys would do is let us have a star base that we can walk around in and interact with things like at the beginning of game I would like that we can walk around on planets and even control a planet I love this game but if this game get a update like that this would defeat any space mobile game I love the game just wish u could have a star base and explore planets

Out with the old in with the new. Honestly just like the old game but with much better graphics and campaign now!!!! Also much more features then the last one, this new one is just much better, there have been some problems with bugs though like some rooms not rendering or crew mates not fully healing and stuck at 99% health, but the devs are working on fixing these and still enhancing the game

Money grubbing devs. Pixel starships 2 could’ve been a great game, but the devs ruined it with paywalls and greed. You can’t build or upgrade a fleet without opening your wallet. The first game lets players earn their way up with time and effort. Rewarding players for their hard work. Now it’s all about the cash grabs and micro-transactions. Even basic features are locked behind premium currency. I wanted to enjoy the strategy and ship building, but everything feels designed to squeeze you rather than reward you. Save your time and money, this is just another “free” game. To the devs: You need to decide whether you want to make a good game, or just chase a few extra bucks. Start listening to your community. We’re the ones keeping this game alive, and right now you’re pushing us away.

So buggy. Ive trained so many different troops at different levels and got zero percent upgrades about 8 times in a row. I must have lost 1500 training points. I was ranked #2 in the weekly and just got bumped out, went from winning prizes to nothing at all. I started the game over and now lost all of the “compensation dollars” they offered for game play issues. I’ll probably have to start over again. Would be worth more stars once they get it together.

Oh the fun times to be had…. So far so good…. Update to the graphics is a little strange yet I’ll get used to them. The tutorial is a bit easier to understand this time around…. Can’t wait to see where SavySoda takes us over the coming years…. As a great astronaut one’s said “Too infinity and beyond!” lol

Must pay to progress. Was enjoying the game for a while, but I’m at a mission where to progress you’re forced to either spend money to make a guild or to join one. Well there’s a total of 6 guilds apparently and each is either locked or requires very high pvp level. Extremely stupid to put progression behind a paid wall or leaving it in the hands of the very limited guild owners on the game.

Pretty good game base. I rlly liked the first game and I’ve been so excited for the sequel, and I like it! There are some bugs, particularly one big nasty bug where every time I do any mission, the dialogue’s language changes every page. It’s rlly, REALLY annoying, but otherwise I absolutely LOVE the game so far :)

A little buggy in alpha but otherwise great. At worst I occasionally have to restart the app but it’s getting better every few weeks.

100 bugs. I was really looking forward to this game for the last month but Not one part of this game works. I’ve tried to play several times and if by some miracle you get past one screen/part the next one crashes. Log in doesn’t work. I have tried to play on multiple devices and it doesn’t make a difference. Game jwt not match error. Sept 19 still unable to log in to the account that I made, no point of playing If every time I get log out I have to start over.

Needs work operates ok. This game requires fixing on there combat system building system and changing room position needs work on to as well missions require some work. It may not crash but it has a habit of freezing in a action including in combat the timer reviles 00:00 as the action’s to operate the crew and weapon system and power as well automatic it with ai just will not respond. I’m aware this is new and I love it i just wish it works right now and I’ll be here when it’s fixed. I do enjoy and love the gameplay it’s so much more than the 1st pixle starship and its mechanics are fare more complex than the original and it is to be expected to have bugs glitches and freezing from time to time can’t expect much but I love it.

Thx for the most recent update. But unfortunately for some reason I’m having trouble doing pvp cause it’s takes time to load and game freezes at times after so that’s unfortunate

Too Many Game Breaking bugs. Black screen that forces you to restart the game. Weird glitches when setting AI commands, that you have to delete and re add all commands to resolve. Collecting minerals and gas fails sometimes, causing the resources to just disappear. Attempting to access the star system you’re in can be very difficult sometimes when the ship model takes up most of the space on the map. Some UI elements are just not visible or accessible.

Good game, just pay to win heavy.. It’s a good game, but the amount of time that updates, research, repairs all grow exponentially to the point where any real progress either slows to a crawl or requires you to pay for in game currency.

Tutorial bug. 2 minutes into playing during the combat tutorial, I get stuck in the targeting section Tap or drag target to the satellite subsystems to target it. It won’t let me target so I can’t continue

Why why why. Every time they release an update it screws the game up. Just updated the game with the November update and it is SO BUGGY. All the star systems are locked, combat system is all messed up. So disappointing

Frustrating, not fun.. This game has potential to be awesome like PS1. But it isn’t. It’s riddled with bugs that don’t allow you to finish mission, battle, upgrade the ship and more. The interface will get frozen on just about everything, including summoning a new crew mate. Lost my resources but didn’t get the new crew member too. I’d avoid this one…can’t do anything on it right now. Big bummer.

Released too early - full of bugs. This clearly needs another month or more of debugging, or at least a closed play test. I’m getting API errors left and right and from the very beginning of the tutorial, glitches and poor quality of life run rampant. Only reason this isn’t 1 star is because I believe it has a ton of potential once it becomes playable.

Great but not perfect. I was say the game compare to the Pixel Starship 1 is definitely a big leap. One thing I love is the that you are about to have 3 profile per account for someone who wants to play all 3 factions I’m able to do so. I’m also get use to the commands which is a little different compared to original pixel starship. The are some bugs that are pretty frustrating. The screen blacks out when look to combat. I’m the quest where tells you to join a fleet but when I do it does not register I did, preventing me from progressing. For new players I definitely will say there are a lot more improvements needs to be done so do not expect it to be a perfect game, the update are fairly spontaneous. So it’s not like the developers are just going to leave it as is. And definitely keep an open mind, don’t just quit cuz something isn’t working, definitely say something on Reddit or join community discord it’s pretty helpful. At the end of the day it is developing, and it’ll get better so for now I’ll leave a star 4 it definitely on a 5 star trajectory and will change my rating to a 5 star once the bugs are fixed.

Big update from v1. Amazing graphic and new gamplay from v1. Still bugs around but gaining support from game very quickly.

Much Improved from PS1. Loved Pixel Starships 1, but this sequel takes it to another level—better graphics, smarter crew management, deeper strategy. Feels polished and more rewarding. A must-play upgrade for fans of the original!

Great but has issues. This game looks like it will be a great successor to the original. However I have come across a few things that need work. When upgrading rooms there need to be more info like there was in the original. There is no clear way of how to fire crew members. The game will crash when going into a battle from time to time. Sound will play but the video will freeze. Do you have a website available so that players can report bugs and improvement ideas to help the developers make this game great?

Similar game to PSS1 with better graphic and more room. Been loving the new graphic and nuance so far, just need more content to be great but that will be coming, more visual cue and explanation than pss1 so will be better for new players

Much the same. Much the same as pixel starships 1 less pixels. I was part of the test group, game reset for me on launch. Losing in game currency etc. I’m not motivated to go back and play at this point.

Good game, tweaks needed. Game is very good but some tweaks are needed to bring it level with the current game, like bugs and unadded content

Game. Not as good as the go but still good

Glitchy mess. Unplayable, they updated the game which deleted my whole account an now I can’t even start again because the game bugs out during the first fight, increase the power of ur mining laser it says then it won’t let me or do anything other than look at the button that refuses to increase power. Waste of time and effort play something that at least works. Oh forgot there is no obvious help or contact us options so if ur account is deleted like mine gl getting what u paid for back. Really angry I had such high hopes

Work Needed But Has Potential. I want to like this game, and I really like the first Pixel Starships game. This game has potential but it is clearly in early access. There are lots of bugs which are game breaking in the early stages. Two examples, first tutorial battle required me to target the enemy compartment but there were no compartments to target. Next I am on to the third ship upgrade, had completed it and added a few new compartments. Closed the game, reopened it later and my ship had been reset to the previous ship upgrade. My new compartments got stored and the ship can’t be upgraded as the upgrade section says max upgrade although I met all the requirements for upgrade. This game needs more time to cook.

Unplayable. I have had multiple attempts to play this game and the bugs make it a waste of time. I kept reaching a point where the current task is to “rearm”. There is no button or option for this or a decent. Restarted over and over only to get to the same task. You cannot do anything else from here on as a message is displayed to “complete current task first. Waited over night for the task to refresh. Now it’s gone and the new task is 3 pvp battles, I still get the same task error as above.

Amazing I cannot stop playing. I can’t believe it ❤️❤️❤️❤️

No better point. Overall Review: Why Shouldn't I Just Play the Pixel Starship 1? Compared to the first installment, this sequel shows almost no significant improvements in core mechanics (aside from minor adjustments like the oxygen system). The ground combat has changed its presentation but remains terrible, while ship battles have become more sluggish and lack counterplay options. The most unacceptable aspect is the visual quality. The first game cleverly sidestepped this issue with its pixel art style, but the sequel's shift to 3D graphics only amplifies its technical shortcomings. This low-quality 3D art style genuinely makes it hard to keep playing.

Язык. Сделайте настройку чтоб можно было включить русский язык

The usual…. PvP limited progression with a buggy mess of control and progression, a pure disgrace for the AU. Ignore this extremely limited progression time waster.

Waste of time.. Good concept - very poor AI and glitchy as all hell.

Hilariously bad. This game is riddled with bugs that its astonishing they released it as is. PSS the original is much better and has WAY more content. This game is quarter baked and its downright disrespectful that they released it at this state. Would not recommend you play this instead just play the original.

bad experience. can not start games

Thank you SavySoda. I see the love that has gone into PS2, I am excited to see what you add to it next.

Poorly planned launch. Initially excited to play. Game has good fundamentals and original was awesome. But this new version is plagued with multiple problems.

Just play the original. For all the original pixel starships’ faults, it at least had charm and character, the new game just feels like a parody. The devs removed the one thing the original did popular, the art style, replacing the charming and cohesive pixel art, quite literally removing the pixel from PIXEL starships, with what many in the community have described as an a-front to god mix of lewd anime girls, poorly made mid 2000s style 3d assets and poorly done pixel art, not to mention the weirdly done 2.5d ship models that only further emphasises the mismatch in art style and direction, or the very generic and “scuffed” looking animations that just further emphasis the above issues with the art (an excellent example is the explosion of ships after beating them), showing the game art overall lacked direction during the development phase. The devs also failed to provide anything truely new or refreshing both gameplay and mechanic wise compared to the original, with notable additions making the game experience overall more “grindy” and incentivising micro-transactions (another topic that I’ll get to), these additions include: - Crew training now requiring captains to earn training points, as opposed to the originals using resources gained from PVP/PVE. - Ship research now requiring research points, as opposed to the originals use of resources gained from PVP/PVE - Crew level ups now require players to choose which stat to upgrade, as opposed to the original where crew level ups increased all stats across the board, which, with no known way to reset outside, only punishes players in the short to mid term and incentivises players to purchase crew to “reroll” level ups stats. Further more, while many would think pss2 would fix the issues of the original such as the massive gap in strength between big spenders (whales) and free to play (f2p/ftp), this is the contrary, the game more heavily incentivises players to spend money through the monthly subscription, pay walled gear, galaxy lottery (gacha) and I’m willing to bet a battle pass that paywalls strong/overpowered crew. This is on top of the plethora of bugs that currently plague the original game and new game, with many bugs from the original game, some of which dating back to COVID and beyond (some bugs persist from the games first version release in 2017), finding their way into the new game. Overall leaving the game (pss2, though it should just be ss2 since theirs no pixel [p]) feeling like a cheap copy of the original in an attempt for a quick cash grab. Oh and don’t forget about the plethora of launch day bugs that somehow magically appeared even though the game was in a somewhat functional state 2 weeks before.

Good game. This is an awesome game so far, don’t stuff it up

Everything and better. Absolutely loved the first and it delivers everything the first one did with better graphics and better quality of life and it great it made here in Australia too!

Crashing upon launch. Cant play the game. Crashes repeatedly upon launch

Looks promising…. But the glitches are out of control. You chose to build or upgrade and it seems to work, then nothing happens, so you choose something else, and it tells you that you are already building, but nothing is building. Or you get into a battle and nothing happens, no count down, no attacks, nothing, and your only option is to forfeit. And this doesn’t include the occasional black screen which only shows your icons, but no map, no ship, no store… So ya, I’m sure it’ll be great, but right now… not so much.

Not bad for a new release. This isn’t bad for a new release, bugs and glitches are to be expected. One major issue I have is that the VIP subscription is $0.99 “for a limited time” but does not specify how long that limited time will be, before it increases to $12.99. I was considering subscribing but that is enough to make me change my mind right there.

Slightly disappointed. So far it’s a copy paste of the first game, except at the moment it’s like beta version of the first game. Incredible amount of server lag and bugs. Considering the first one is intensive and punishing due to the nature of nerfs and length of time to achieve anything. This feels like a pretty bad cash grab rather than passion project

Hmmm. Loved the build and combat dynamics of the first game, but items, characters, the story/mission systems were a mess and hardly worth engaging in. The worst part was said character system was THE deciding factor in pvp, and could cost thousands to put together a competitive team… When I saw a sequel was upcoming, I was hopeful they would redesign the flawed systems of the first to make them stream lined and more reasonable for people without thousands to blow, and despite the fact that they’ve seemingly rebuilt the game, it has all the same pitfalls as the first plus an ungodly amount of additional bugs, not to mention a fraction of the content. The only “improvement” is that they’ve replaced many of the stylistic pixel art designs that was kind of whole vibe of the first game with clunky 3d renders and effects that cause lag even on lowest settings… Please do something good with this, I’m holding out hope but as of now I’m extremely disappointed.

Not too bad. I want to give this a better score but I encountered some problems. The dialogue randomly switched languages every time I tried to pick up a mission. Global chat wouldn’t turn off and was always in the way. ‘Quest log’ froze and wouldn’t proceed to the next ‘quest’. Had to delete but will check back later after it gets out of alpha testing.

Very glitchly. Very glitchy

Great game but bugs. Bugs happen very frequently but still great game.

Enjoying it so far!. I’ve just played the tutorial so far, it looks and feels promising. One negative was that when I was selecting a faction at the very start, whenever I would try to walk around to read the little blurbs about each faction, my character would move an extra 4 or 5 steps from just one touch on the screen. Everything else has looked cool and I enjoyed the tutorial.

Waste of time. Stick to PS1 this game is so full of bugs it’s insane. To be clear this is being posted after they have supposedly patched the launch bugs. This is just a reskin of PS1 that doesn’t work.

Too glitchy to play. Well, good old pixel starship. Seems good and has potential, but the current version is very glitchy. The 3d element feels like unnecessary as u ultimately only build on one side on the ship anyway. The 3d room alway glitching when u try to move room around, which makes it stuck and u will have to reset the app to fix it. That seems like a major problem for a game that people spend 80% of their time moving room and crew around. I kinda stop when I have to reset the game 10 time in a row while trying to redesign the ship. Shame!

Almost Unplayable. Game frequently bugs, causing me to need to restart the game for almost every quest completion past the tutorial. 1 of the 4 factions is locked behind the Kickstarter with no mention of it in-game. (At least, as far as I could find, had to check the game’s discord to learn this) When moving rooms, game may bug out and make the room immovable and disabling all UI interactions, requiring a restart to fix. UI leaves much to be desired, and certain ways to view enemy information during combat is bugged. Sometimes, even when I have power available to allocated, it won’t allow me to. These are only some of the countless bugs present in PSS2. Overall, game is extremely buggy, rendering it practically unplayable. The UI and frequent lag does not help its case. Game feels like it was made in a day.

Needs a fix. Decent game but frequently crashes

Please fix bugs. There’s bugs that stop pvp from happening it says opps the a player has already cleared this area and it freezes and sometimes when switch from galaxy to ship a black screen appears but the games still running you can’t see your ship in this bug

Stuck in bathroom. no gix i tried redownloading, asset fix or reinstalling but same stuck issue

Fun until it stopped working. Can’t get past the title screen now; it crashes

Great game!. Everything you loved about the original game and more. A worthy successor to the “Pixel Starships” name!

Super fun but needs work!. This game is just like the original except they have taken it to the next level! The game itself is great only downside right now is the amount of bugs and features yet to be released. Would 100% recommend though.

Was good then got. I got some oops 200 error now and can’t get in the game.

Overall good but needs work. A lot of bugs straight off the bat but that’s to be expected when a game first comes out. The main issue I have is that it’s not really pixel starships enthisis on pixel. It looks good but it’s not pixel art, I think there should be an option to change from the classic pixel style to the new 3D style or some mix because it feels lacking detail in most of the rooms and with pixels it looks more natural in a way. I really hope they don’t add any sort of battle pass and seasons like they did with pixel starships one. I’m really sick of the whole battle pass and all the fomo when it comes to customization ect.

Cancelled subscription. Unable to level any crew member every time it gives and error, unable to progress Won’t be playing until you fix

Great game of strategy. Looks like the original just with a bit of a upgrade on graphics

Great so Far. Played the first one and gotta say this is a pretty big step up and very enjoyable

This is gonna be real harsh ☹️. So from what I can tell, there’s three people at SavySoda: One desperately wants this to be the next EVE Online, even though the Pixel Starship IP is fundamentally too unserious to be compatible with a gritty realistic setting. The other just wants loads of cash and is making sure he gets it by retaining the problematic, unapologetically greedy EA tier pay to win mechanics and hoards of in your face micro-transactions of the first game. And then the last fella is a chronic basement dweller who for whatever reason thought a game called “pixel starship” (who itself is for whatever reason trying to larp as a gritty setting) needed gooner bait non-pixelated sprites for its NPCs. Honestly this has got to be the single biggest pile of steaming doo doo I’ve ever witnessed in my entire life. They stripped away all the charm of the first game while retaining all its core issues. The one grace I’ll hand you lot is the levelling mechanic, the fact you get stats from it instead of having to fork over hundreds in cash or hours of grinding to be even mildly competitive is a huge step in the right direction. That said, I did notice the gym room is still a thing, and HOPEFULLY for the love of all that is good in the world it isn’t just a reskin of the original training mechanic. Truth is I wouldn’t know because my game crashed and wouldn’t let me back in no matter what I tried before I ever had a chance to try any of it, go figure. Catastrophically disappointed.

Rampant with bugs. Currently at an alpha or beta stage of game. Ton of bugs to the point they should be ashamed to have launched with it. Can’t turn off auto renewal easily in game. Try their instructions to turning off auto renewal lol. Seriously a huge joke at this time. I don’t understand how companies nowadays feel like they can release like this. Taken note of this company and won’t expect much from them in future.

Buggy as heck. You cannot play the game yet. As of September 2025, the game is completely unplayable. You spend some time playing the game, you build your ship next thing you know every time you load it up you're back at the starting point... so much potential, launched way too soon, savvy soda got way too greedy

Same game. Same game but 3D? My phone heating up fast.

Lots of bugs. Lots of bugs lol have to restart the game most the time love the game so far tho amazing but please fix bugs fr can only play for like 10mins before a bug happens like I can’t see the updgrade time or etc or won’t let me do anything
