Great Game - Terrible App. Game is fantastic, and very fun. The app should be an extension of this, but the UI is the same as a browser and incredibly hard to use. Crashes every time I try to message, make a post, or do anything too intensive on my iPhone.

Going Backwards. New mobile app is hard to navigate. I see they had to take down the legacy app to force people to use this offering…

This is a review JUST for the new update.. The new update has no clock. For a game that hinges on timing attacks and defense, this seems like a gross oversight. Fix the clock issue and the new layout is very easy to navigate.

New Mobile App. The new mobile app is TERRIBLE. Hard to see and navigate. I will play fewer servers for sure because of this.

New app is terrible. Been playing for years and am ranked in top 30. Always played from my phone and new app is impossible.

Best strategy game ever. This game is hands down the best in depth basic strategy game of all time. It’s got a learning curve and with the old app you could really only go so far. This ported version is what the desktop version is like and that’s how you really should play anyways. Wish this game got more advertising, it used to be huge back in the day. Still has a decent player base but could use some fresh players.

Wrong direction. The developers just ported the desktop to the tablet. For “new and improved” it is more difficult and much less informative. For example the academy doesn’t title (explain) what each research is for. It also doesn’t tell you how many resources are still needed. You need the old version to do your research. In the past I have gotten really into this game, to the point I needed to take a break. This “new” version will really encourage me to walk away - permanently!

What on earth. This is just the desktop version, ported over to mobile. It’s the laziest decision ever, and it’s so much worse than the old app. The desktop version relies on mouse-over tooltips heavily, which is a feature lost on mobile. Instead of porting the ancient desktop interface to mobile when there’s a decent mobile app already, how about you reskin the browser version and put out and ad or two? I want to see this game swim but right now the developers are doing their best to sink it

Good game. I enjoyed this game when I was younger came back for the new version, was excited about the new deity’s but they haven’t been implemented yet it seems I can’t wait.

Grepolis does not care about player safety. A player got my location in real life and then proceeded to threaten me and my family via ingame messenger. When reported, staff refused to uphold their own code of conduct on the player. Play this game if you enjoy getting terrorist threats in real life.

What a downgrade. I have no clue why this new app exists when it is so much worse than the original. I’m in my twenties and the user interface is so small I feel like I need to get out my middle aged mother’s reading glasses to see anything. After 5 minutes of use the app has crashed twice - once after I attempted to zoom into the map. Guess you can’t do that. I keep clicking on a city name —> go to city on a report and it literally will not take you there. I’m going to take my risks with the old app not getting new updates and support than do all this. This app, to me, is unplayable.

Horrible upgrade. Terrible compared to the old no longer supported version. Been playing for 10 years but not much longer. So small you can’t see or push the buttons you want you have to hold your phone sideways now. Highly not recommend!

Phone App. It’s harder to use and everything is smaller

Can only use in landscape mode. Almost unusable. The app does not work properly in portrait mode and the only way you can use it is to turn your phone sideways. Junk…just like the last app.

Scam?. I tried to log into my account on the new app and it won’t let me. I log into the desktop fine. Is this really the app? Is this a scam? I’m not really too concerned if my account is stolen. Not a great game.

Review of new grepo app. The new app is so small it’s unworkable. If you blow it up you lose the functionality the buttons at the side are off screen and you can’t slide them back on. It’s worse than terrible! I only wish this company could make an app after all these years!

Gonna be a lot better than the old app. Played the new app for 5 mins and can already tell it’s gonna be better to play than the old one

Excellent!. I normally play Grepo almost exclusively on iPad with Chrome. There have always been little glitches, buttons that don’t work all the time, etc. Downloaded this app yesterday and so far … PERFECT. This is the new gold standard, thanks!

Cool product, horrible new app.. App limits you to horizontal view and font is too small.

Money Corrupted Game. I recently returned to this game after several years away. Money has fully corrupted this game. If you aren’t buying and using lots of gold, you don’t stand a chance against players who do. You can kill every unit in their attack, but they just buy them again and return within minutes with a full-blown nuke. Money has taken all the fun out of the game, tipped the scales too far in the favor of those who pay to play.

Poor recommendation. Played this game for years. Use to be a lot better. Lots of bugs and issues. Wouldn’t recommend pay to play at all. Support doesn’t care about the community they will lock your ticket and give a “ sorry about that” speech and do nothing. And the issue is resolved. Can’t play the game if it’s not running like it should. They do nothing to retain the community when issues occur. Forum life is very slow only 1-2 mods on there. Both app and browser has same issues

Not pleased. I liked the original app layout. This is confusing, difficult and too zoomed out to function on my screen

They killed this game. I have been playing this game for over 8 years when they did the new update with the changed layout they destroyed the game. The new format is unusable. They is issues with the game sending notifications when you are attacked. I would tell everybody to go find a new game

The absurd golding P2W in this game is disgusting tbh. The more hardcore golders (p2w players) you have in your alliance, particularly the ones who are willing to spend thousands, or tens of thousands of US dollars are bound to win. on Domination and WW servers from what I seen, there tend to be stacked premades of pretty hardcore and dedicated players. The gold abuse is insane in this game, and the truly top 1% hardcore GOLDING type players are nearly impossible to defeat.

Horrible. Horrible on phone. Old app much better. Much much better.

Zoom is terrble. The controls disappear as you zoom in. Feels like a quick wrapper to a desktop game rather than a mobile game.

So many glitches. If the old app had the same features as the new app, still seeing the screen on a phone in a vertical position as the old app, in stead off horizontal, it would make the game play easier. And the features of Mass Mail and playing events, added to the old app. Trying to select rss to trade, and every time I go to select which rss to trade, the rss select screen disappears. Even to write a message on the phone, not always can you see what you are writing, as the screen is so small or moves in a way that you don’t see anything at all. The concept is there, but the new features needed to be added to the old app, easier to see and play.

Unplayable. While this app fixes several of the glaring issues with the original app it seems like a lazy fix rather than modifying the original app. Nothing is optimized for a cell phone, and squinting at tiny lettering and mis clicking all the time is taking the fun out of what is one of the few actual strategy games that can be played on an app. At the very least they should support both apps so that players can flip between the two.

Work in progress. They announced this will replace the old app on the second of October, a terrible idea which I hope they reconsider. This new app is still incredible glitchy and has fewer features than the old app. This app is a direct downgrade.
