This network is horrible.. I just purchased this wifi connection so I could complete my school. After I was charged I was and I am still unsuccessful with getting wifi connection. The is not worth what people are getting charged.

“Blazing 50 = 1 Mbps”. I’m on the 5Ghz wifi and i rarely see 50 Mbps. Most of the time doing a speed test i’ll get 1Mbps. Maybe they throttle speeds after a certain data usage but they wont tell you. Its 100% the service not my device. No amount of troubleshooting or contacting support will resolve this, its deliberate false advertising, probably to retain profit. Very shady company, unfortunately a monopoly and the only option at a military base.

Terrible connection, constant recurring issues. There is a new problem with my connection almost every week and constant outages. It forgets my devices every few weeks making me waste a considerable amount of time fixing it. Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra bucks to get a better service.

Absolute booty milk. I love paying 54 dollars for WiFi that doesn’t even work, constant crashes and can’t even stream on other platforms that I pay for. If you want to play online or do literally anything else, dont give money to these people because they don’t care.

Worst service provider. Don’t pay for this hot dumpster fire! Literally pay 55 dollars for slow wifi and it will go out once a week! I get shortages that last hours. If there is any other provider on base, PICK THEM!!

Worst Internet. I don’t think they really care about the service members it’s all about the money. They falsely advertise their product. Don’t waist your time with this company. They will tell you they are actively working on it to make a better experience. Trust me they have been saying that for years.

Do not use. Don’t get boingo unless you have no choice absolutely terrible Wi-Fi and they are constantly doing maintenance that blocks the internet, they charge you $50 a month for high speed that is only 50mbps just a warning don’t get if you can use something else. Obviously the reviews don’t matter to this company because they don’t do anything to fix it.

Pretty decent. The actually Wi-Fi works than our free Dorm Wi-Fi. My only issue is that I always have to go to settings and put it back on Boingo Wi-Fi since it disconnects each time I leave the room

Actually the worst experience I had. I use my internet for online courses and gaming. Constant ping spiking when I play games, downloading league of legends takes 1.5 hours, and the internet service goes down 4-5 times a month. I changed my internet provider when the service went down as I was submitting my college work.

Sad. What is the honest point of being and internet provider without providing the internet. I don't get it. This is why everyone switches to cox internet. So glad I never have to use boingo agin.

Horrible connection. I had to pay over $100 a month to have my Wi-Fi give me over 1000 fps not worth it at all get a better service

Service is horrible. Save your money go to you local McDonald’s for Wi-Fi. My friend using his hot spot on boost mobile was getting faster speeds than me. Had the “blazing” internet I would peak at less than 2mb a second and averaged around 500kb. They don’t tell you that your internet auto renews either so I wasted $110 on Wi-Fi.

Got charged 3 times because it wouldn’t load my profile info. I would literally never use boingo again in my life if I had the choice, but unfortunately I have CQ and tried to buy a days worth of Wi-Fi for my laptop and phone. Ended up spending $30+ because the app wouldn’t load correctly and verify my information, AFTER I paid it disconnected me and said my account was inactive. Made me make a new account and then disconnected me from that one as well, a bunch of hassle for some mediocre internet.

No Cancel?. There literally isn’t a cancel button. Just got scammed out of $50. It works fine, but I would like to cancel my plan and now I have to work through support.

worst wifi ever. This is definitely the worst WiFi i’ve ever had. It disconnects like 3 times an hour and then when try to reconnect, it says it’s already connected?! I seriously doubt Boingo will ever fix this issues because they make a killing off of everyone. This review will probably just get written off like the rest. If you ever have another choice in WiFi go with it because Boingo makes any other company look amazing. $54 a month for 5mb download speed, get out of here…

I wasted over $50 for worse internet in my Phone. Game/video/ streaming corruption all the time. Over priced for what they call “good for gaming and streaming”. It’s not, it made you go nut during the game or screen frozen while online 🤷🏻‍♂️

For military. I’ve never written a bad review on anything before so this will be my first one. If you have any other option for wifi besides boingo you should go with it. This is the absolute worst wifi I’ve experienced. Even with the best package they offer it’s almost a constant lag with very frequent drops. This company should charge half the price for the garbage wifi they provide. Unfortunately until I leave this duty station I’m trapped paying for this.

Do not purchase!. They don’t update or bother to fix issues. It’s simple yeah but annoying to try and connect. Not for military at all. It’s just to take your money. Apple needs to remove them once and for all .

Boingo has gotten significantly faster. Boingo has 3 networks usually, the base name (Wi-Fi), boing wireless, and boingo 5ghz, the 5ghz option works really well for me (the others are horrible) and for 80 bucks I typically see around 150 mbps which is more than what’s advertised but for the love of god please come up with a better system to connect your devices as i constantly have to sign back in and it’s really what breaks boingo from being a good service. Come up with a better system and bring faster speeds, every other company out there offers 100 mbps as the base option and 10mbps even being an option is embarrassing, bring 500mbps to the table and possibly some gig speeds as for a handful of bases it’s either boingo or cox and cox is expensive (with a contract) that’s out of most people’s budgets. I give 5 stars purely for the value of being able to move around but please fix it!!!!!

Fix it. Why can’t I cancel Boingo I tried canceling it and there is no button I also can’t take my credit card out fix it!

Overall terrible experience. Bought this when I was away at tech school and the connection was just god awful. Then when I canceled my subscription I kept getting charged.

Scammers. I was without Wi-Fi more often than I had it. When the Wi-Fi worked it wasn’t too bad, definitely not the best though. I used it for a month but I am now switching to another service. Not worth your money. You only have ANY internet about half the time.

Disconnects Constantly. This is the worst WiFi i’ve ever had the displeasure of purchasing and it’s amazing the military supports it. Never waste your money on this and $50 a month for terrible wifi is robbery. Horrible

Worst WIFI ever. I seriously have nothing but issues with this wifi service that I’m forced to use. $60 a MONTH for wifi that CONSTANTLY kicks you off in the middle of a FaceTime call or whatever you’re doing. I hate that I have no choice but to waste money on this stupid service.

great app for boingo on military bases. this app is great if you have a boingo wi-fi subscription on a military base. much easier way to add devices. note this app is ONLY for people who live on military bases.

App doesnt work. Cant log in at all, tried over a period of a few months but i don't get anywhere with it. Online website is solid, but theres so many better options that are cheaper then this internet company that can bearly keep the internet up and running. Switching out soon.

Horrible. Connection frequently drops kicking me off service on all my devices, I need to log back into my account to restore connection and when I try to do that I almost always have to reset my password, most days when I do have connection download speeds are awful (I have the best wifi package). Nowhere close to worth the money, get any other provider but them.

Wifi service that doesn’t work. This is the most expensive wifi service that doesn’t provide wifi service. When it does it’s breaks up signal and it doesn’t work at all. If I was able to rate this review with no stars I would.

Such a scam. 55 dollars a month for 50mbps is a sick joke. This company only seeks to take advantage of military members with their slow wifi that's limited to 3 devices and that's when its actually working which is day to day

Can’t even purchase it. You offer Apple Pay but there isn’t even a way to use it online or in the app on a iPhone I only use Apple Pay when I type the actual card info it says call my bank or use different card

Sad excuse of a service. If you are a fan of spotty internet connection that drops completely at least 3 times every hour and has horrendous connection quality than this is a deal for you. The wifi is so bad I can’t even load sites like office365 for work. To make matters even better on random days I can’t connect because it says my account is inactive and when I try to log into the Boingo website to view my account it says my log in info is invalid. Even after resetting my password via Email and trying to login on different devices it’s still invalid. I tried calling the customer service number, foolishly hoping at least that would work just to be put on hold for 20 minutes then get hung up on. Sadly this is the only option I got where I am stationed, and just shows that the military needs to invests in actually good contracts with actually good companies, not sad excuses like this one.

This Wi-Fi is a joke. Sure it works great but that’s only when it decides not to kick your device off of it or when it makes unadd your device to readd it. Can y’all seriously fix this problem?

Complete trash. If I had a choice I would never EVER use this service. Sadly in Japan I only have the choice between bad and terrible. I pay for the best package just to get 5MBS download speed. Only use my Xbox on the weekends, if that, and you’re dumpster fire you call a company makes it that much harder to use. Your whole board of directors should be fired, maybe new staff would run & manage this company better. Sadly this review will go unheard of because why would a CEO making more than six-figures piggybacking off of the US military care what we think, as you most likely look down on us like peasants.

Garbage. The absolute worst service provider I have ever had the displeasure of using. 54 dollars a month just for any game I want to play online to be unplayable. Boingo is lucky that it’s competition is near nonexistent, and I hope that one day military instillations will actually get real internet providers. Lowest bidder strikes again. They’ll never get better so long as people continue to pay exorbitant amounts of money for such little in return. Spend your money literally anywhere else, you’d likely get higher speeds by making an antenna out of tinfoil and string and hanging it outside your window.

Connectivity. I understand that is slow to download I can live with that even for the 55 dollars a month. I can not understand why I can connect to the why did half the time and the other half I just get disconnected with in a hour or to. I genuinely hate this service and am only using it because I have no other choice.

Cancelling. WiFi works well, but overpriced. App doesn’t let you cancel so it kinda forces you to pay automatically and reoccurring.

Waste of money. If I could rate Boingo no stars I would. Don’t bother wasting your money on this wifi network. They charge a lot for a piece of crap service. Not only that you have to pay a $10 dollars for extra devices. Wifi disconnects from your phone at random, half the time nothing loads when you want to stream something on your phone. If you’re on a military base just look for some other wireless network such as Cox.

Totally worthless. This service is just terrible. I have been in Fort Sam Houston for a year and the wifi service for Navy has been nothing but terrible. Slow service, nobody to reset or boost service, wifi speeds are all the same no matter the cost. You’re better off using your phone data.

App won’t let me login. When I go on the website everything is smooth but the app makes me login over and over again. It just needs some work🤙🏽

0 out of 5 stars. I was downloading an update to a game and my download speed got as low as 91B/s. 91 BYTES!! I reached out to boingo for support and Tiffany D was the agent I chatted with, she was extremely helpful, but to no avail. I cannot even run the dang speed test from my computer and I downloaded the Wi-Finder app on my iPhone and it said I was connected to Boingo and an error popped up. The worst wifi service I’ve ever experienced in my entire life.

Trash. This wifi provider is absolutely trash when it comes to things like connectivity, downloads, and signal strength. I don’t know if it’s because the military installations doesn’t want us to be to open information and form an open minded opinion or what but boingo does their job in not doing their job. Trash

Terrible for old gen. Download speeds are great but connection on old gen Xbox is terrible. I can never get an open nat type EVEN AFTER using the “troubleshoot” errors they provide. It’s really annoying when I’m paying for wifi that doesn’t work properly a majority of the time. Even with an open NAT the lag still makes the game unplayable. I don’t know if it’s cause of the old buildings or if your services are just bad. All I know is I pay too much for what I am getting.

No customer support. Don’t even wasted your money on this service. They don’t fixed the customer issue. Bought the Blaze service and just get a poor connection and super slow internet call them to get a solution and they just make excuses every single time and never fix the situation.

Drops all the time. WiFi always disconnects if I turn off my phone. I will have to go into my settings, choose the WiFi to then get sent to a website where I have to sign in. I do this about twelve times a day in order to be connected to WiFi. If there are any other WiFi providers, I’d go with them rather than pay for low quality WiFi that likes to drop.

Dear Boingo, why are you so bad?. I live overseas in the barracks. After a long day of work I just want to relax, play a couple games, and watch a show. This has proved impossible with Boingo logging me out nearly every 30 minutes. I use one device at a time (but pay for three) and even that seems to be too much. I’ll be canceling this service for good soon. So will my two roommates. Three customers gone.

Zero stars if I could. Actually just the worst possible wifi you’d ever seen in your life, dog awful never waste your money on this if you don’t have to, obviously if you live on base this is your only option tho sadly. Disgusting wifi

Terrible. This is hands down the worst internet service provider I’ve ever paid for. Paying 55 dollars a month for only 50 Mbps and 3 devices is ridiculous. I’m switching to a different provider ASAP. Having someone come in for an afternoon and installing a device will be more painless than having to deal with the slow internet.

Need more coverage. It’s a good service, but I wish you guys had the service available for personnel at Schofield Barracks. That would be a big help

Government contracts are the worse. They can’t even deliver on a tenth of the promised performance. Internet is constantly dropping. Download speeds are dog water. And the rates are way too high for such a sad excuse for an internet provider. But they got that government contract so they don’t care.

Awful wifi. Terrible speed, charges way too much and the app hardly ever works. I had to pay $10 extra a month just for an extra device and it won’t even let an extra device log on. Save your money and don’t bother.

Awful. Over priced and doesn’t work half of the time. When it does work it’s slow.

Awful. The Wi-Fi offered by boingo is absolutely atrocious. i pay for the blazing deal, $55 a month for Wi-Fi that works maybe once a week. not only that, but my hotspot outperforms their network by a long shot. constantly logged out and have to log back in, their download speeds are so slow, as I write this review, I’m starting at a screen telling me 223.32 kbps. I don’t recommend this Wi-Fi for anyone, and I find it genuinely embarrassing that they literally prey off of service members forcing them to pay for expensive Wi-Fi when it doesn’t even work half of the time.

service drops out of nowhere. first off as for customer service it’s terrible . service will city of out of nowhere then not reconnect. it doesn’t let you login onto the app to even reset the internet and the cherry on top this is the 54.99 option for the blazing internet which says 50 mps more like you have service for 50 seconds then signal drops

Horrible. Absolutely horrible to play anything online on my computer, console and then work ok but it is super annoying.

Lagging. I regret joining the army because of this wifi but it’s the only one around, I keep lagging on 2k and it keeps Turing off whenever I turn off my phone

Terrible. For only 54.99 a month, you can enjoy the worst internet of all time. Tired of lagging? How about not lagging at all because with Boingo you won’t want to play at all.

App needs work and so does the log in. I can’t even log in to the app. I have used the correct username and pass 10 times. The app says “we don’t recognize this username or password” though I just used it on the website and it works. In addition you need to log in to the website every 24 hours via iPad or phone, and it’s been this way since at least 2017. Even though they have your MAC address it still makes you log in, thought they would have fixed that since I used it back in 2017 to 2018 but nope. Aside from that the internet is decent, no issues with that in Fort Bliss.

App is BAD. Just got WiFi and downloaded the app and it doesn’t recognize my user and password. Yes I’m typing in the right user and password. Really weird…

Not good. I have to reconnect all my devices and type the MAC address for my Xbox 1-2 times a day. It’s very annoying.

absolutely horrid in every way imaginable. doesn’t even break 1mbps on fort hood, had it in lee as well and was just as bad.

Application does not log users in.. Just as many others have said - the application, once downloaded at the recommendation of the website via desktop or phone does not work. No, you don’t care. Don’t tell me to email your customer service. Im on my pocket wifi trying to figure out what’s going on and even the website won’t let you log in - the log in result is a constant spinning loading circle. The other wifi options are predatory and ludicrously expensive but Boingo is the cheapest lesser evil. I understand this has been a service for decades and providing it to thousands is a constant pain but someone could code or program the log in function better. Every single time wifi drops: “Oops! Something went wrong!” When you sign on correctly with no mistakes. Mess up your password? Website recognizes that! Log in correctly? No access! Automated responses from the developer will be ignored just like Comcast customer service does.

You’re bad. Constantly disconnects. When it’s on, it’s slow. Often tells me I have too many devices (I have 3, and I only pay for 3) so I can’t connect all of them. If I have to pay for garbage wifi then whatever at lease let me use the garbage wifi. The only reason the entire military pays for this trash, is because it’s the only trash available. Read Reviews before Purchasing. This service is horrible, I wasted my money!!! I see the same reply from the developers…they’re working to fix and or improve! Complete non sense some of these reviews are over a year old.
