Fantastic. This is a wonderful app, particularly with Varanny. It’ll change frequencies and download Winlink email from Vara FM or HF. We need more Apple ham radio apps. Also, check out Transceive for macOS by the same author. I would love to see rigctld frequency change support added for Direwolf, sound modem, or TNC4

Highly Polished Application. Georges has obviously put a lot of thought into this application. He has the ability to put these thoughts into code. Very nicely done.

Outstanding Winlink App for Mobile Devices. This is a great app to have if you use Winlink on a regular basis. Works great on my iPhone and iPad, thanks Georges.

Great WinLink app. This is a great WinLink app for iOS. Saw a presentation this week(8/30/23) that more things are coming soon. I.e. Forms. Will work over TelNet/VHF/HF.

Great app for field work. For deployed teams in remote locations and leads in less remote spots, this should prove invaluable. Excited to do more testing with the app.

Great app.. but... It nags for approval like a lovesick fat college girlfriend. On principal, this always gets you a 1-star review.

Composed email disappears. In writing an email on iPad, it is easy to touch something, and I don’t know what, and the incomplete email disappears. It does not show up in drafts. So, I am on third try.

Another beautiful app. A beautiful and useful app for the ham radio community. Thanks for putting thought into the design elements.

No internal modem, and no forms. My focus is on internet-less function. I have the free WoAD app on Android. It works fine with the Digirig, and even just a headset port. Radiomail, a $15 app, does not work out of the box. It relies upon separate devices via wifi or Bluetooth to do the modem work. If I had a machine running Vara/Direwolf, I’d just use that machine. If Radiomail had built in modems, like Vara for add-on price, I’d be all in.

A little issue. Sorry for asking the question on review, but I compose a test email on Winlink but it stays in my outbox. How do I send it

Great Consumer Support!. I wont make this too long however heres my short story: I was struggling as a new comer to the WinLink world to get a connection established to any gateways. However the people at RadioMail walked with me every step of the way when I was getting frustrated and ensured I had everything set correctly even when they knew it wasnt an issue with their app! The app is super easy to use especially as a newcomer to this mode of communication! It works flawlessly with my portable TNC and i couldnt be happier to utilize this app even more going forward! Subscription based version. I understand there is a need to make money but I hate subscription based software. It used to be you paid and bought a disc with the software on it and could run it until your computer died. I do not support subscription based software so unfortunately won’t be supporting this one. The creator charges for the use of forms which is the main purpose of winlink. I hope he does well in his venture. I will just use winlink on my windows laptop instead.

Great app… needs a couple of UI additions for portable use. Update: 1. The author may implement a “Near Me” button and a way to connect to a nearby station from the results without having to favorite the station first. 2. There’s already a refresh RMS list in the app settings! I think the Station List should be sorted every time it’s accessed, that way the stations are always in Closest to Furthest order. Was: This app makes sending/receiving email via ham radio easy! To make it really user friendly for portable use it needs two additional features, which should be easy to implement: 1) Add a button to force an update to the Station list so that it’s always up to date for your current location. 2) After looking at the Station List and finding a nearby station, there needs to be a button on the Station Info screen so that you can immediately start a connection to that station - without having to go through the multi-button-pressing, page-switching process of adding a station to the Favorites List, closing the Stations List, opening the Favorites List, finding the Station in the Favorites List, opening it and finally pressing the Connect button… and then deleting the Station from the Favorites List when you change locations. Other than those two UI additions, it’s the perfect app!

Loving it. I have RadioMail app to a Windows 7 Dell laptop with Icom 7100 using VARA FM connection local wifi or remote using Fixed IP with no trouble. Easy to configure. Also I have used RadioMail packets 1200 with Mobilinkd 4 connected to Yaesu FTM 400 via 10 pin Din connection on back of radio using cable adapter to 6 pin Mini Din to Mobilinkd 4. All worked great. 8+ stars if I could. This app vastly exceeded my expectations. It connected to Mobilinkd right out of the box, with respectable speeds for AX.25 packets. The interface is clean, simple, and intuitive. It does one thing — Winlink email — without getting in the way of itself with bloat. A truly fantastic app. Now, if we can just convince the authors to create a nice WSPR and FT8 companion they’d completely remake QRP and mobile amateur radio.

Easy to use. Fun to use.. Being able to send and receive Winlink messages directly from my phone has been a huge help. The app is reliable and works seamlessly with Winlink, making it easy to stay connected even when I'm away from my computer.

Great app. Works as expected, easy to configure, and does run well on older iPads as well. Will be great tool for use at evacuation shelter or other gatherings that need basic Comms with a ton of equipment to set up. Well worth the cost.

Great Product. I have been using this product for several months now. Love it. Easy to use with TNC4 from Mobilinkd. I have numerous HTs and it works well with. Next on my list is getting a cable to work with a mobile ham radio to link the TNC4 to. I do hope they make a version of this software that work with the macOS.

Best winlink client I have used. I have participated in the beta testing for RadioMail and found it to be the best winlink client yet. I have used winlink in windows, Pat on Linux, and WoAD on Android and none are as easy to use as RadioMail. Thanks for getting this out.

Nice, But No Scripting Support. Nice app, but there is no scripting support, which is required for Winlink packet from where I operate. Therefore, I won't renew the annual Forms subscription. I'll use WoAD on my Android tablet.

Great Winlink client. I purchased this app mainly to support the modernization of Amateur Radio software. It is also an extremely convenient and clean way to access Winlink mail. I recognized when purchasing the app that it did not have a software modem that utilizes the iPhone’s audio system — I’d love to see this added in the future, as it is key to inexpensively accessing some scenarios. One small bug I encountered: the hourly automated email check, via Telnet, does not work for me. I’ve made sure background app refresh is enabled.

Winlink on your iPhone!. Now you can use your iPhone to control a ham radio to send email. This allows you to communicate when cell signals are poor or absent. I was part of the beta test an had great results, so when RadioMail became available in the App Store, I bought it immediately. Telnet is also supported, so you can do a quick check for messages when you are away from a radio. KM4ACK did a YouTube video showing how to quickly get setup and running. Update 1/31/23- with a nearby computer/radio on the same WiFi network, you can use the Vara software TNC via your iPhone Bluetooth to send messages over FM or HF. Version 1.1 features access through digipeaters to extend your vhf/uhf range. I would love to have Winlink forms available, but RadioMail is a great tool for quick messages just as it is. I’m confident future versions will continue to get even more useful. David, N4DPH Update 12/16/23 As predicted, RadioMail has continued to improve with forms and now a tool for managing VARA. The support is outstanding, with the developer deeply involved with the user community. This app is worth every penny.

Worth the Spend. In just the last hour of working with this I have learned a ton about communicating through various mediums. I’m so excited to use this with HF (general) stations. If you are into radio and want to try new methods of communication this is a awesome tool!

Bulk edit. Would be nice to have a option to select multiple messages for edit/delete actions.

Process is simple. We like iOS products for their seamless integration. RadioMail is very straight forward …and I am not a computer geek. My wife and I use the Mobilinkd TNC4 and it’s so easy. Yes we do pay for the app, but it truly works great! 73

Fabulous new tool for Winlink Email. Now my iPhone 8+, FT-5D, and Mobilinkd TNC3 work together with Radiomail to connect me to Winlink. Loving the app.

Works great. Glad to see forms have been added. That makes this app much more useful. Using a Mobilink, connecting to a gateway and sending Winlink messages via packet works great with this app.

Amazing. As ARES EC providing Emcomm to a community of 600,000 people, I’ve always wanted to be able to use Winlink on my iPhone and iPad and now I can. Telnet connections are easy, and can even use a connection to your radio to send via RF. And unlike many other Amateur Radio apps, this one looks and works beautifully!

Easy. App works great, really simplifies WinLink, I love the forms. I use with a Mobilinkd and it works so smooth.

Excellent Winlink on iPhone/iPad App. Been using RadioMail flawlessly with Baofeng UV-5R and Mobilinkd in a holder by North Point LLC I downloaded from Thingiverse and 3D printed. RadioMail has worked very well for both direct packet gateway connections and via digipeaters. Have given demos to local medical groups with high interest. Great tool to take additional advantage of a device we already carry around in our pocket. Looking forward to testing the forms capabilities and the Vara FM and Pactor TNC access.

Needs timestamp on received messages. I’m not sure if it’s possible to implement, but I can only see the time of day a message is sent or received after it is replied to. Looking forward to using it more once my Mobilinkd TNC4 arrives.

Most useful iPhone app for EMCOMM!. I’ve been using this app several times per day for about a month. I love it. It works as described and plays well with WinLink and APRSLink.

Amazing app support. Though I don’t use the app as much as I initially though when acquired, it has been a great asset to enable reducing the amount of kit in my go bag. As a bonus it enables to check for Winlink messages via non-radio means. I also want to give a shout out to developer. Not only does he respond to feature requests and questions in rather short order. He also advises of important updates and issues being addressed on a personal level.

Has Everything Needed Except Forms. This app paired with the Mobilinkd TNC is my preferred setup. My only complaint is the lack of Winlink forms. In the app FAQ, the reasoning given is the lack of forms being scalable for the screen size. Personally, a majority of my Winlink messages received uses forms and the only option is to read the raw .xml file. I do not care if they are scaled for desktop screen size and less than ideal circumstances. Forms would allow this app to be used for 100% of my Winlink usage.

Good winlink app!. Love it, and use it with my p2p Mobilinkd tnc3.

Radiomail. Very happy with this app using the telnet connection. Radiomail on an ipad would be great for work in the field such as sota or pota etc. I hope there will be vara and varafm app very soon and a gadget to connect to tranceivers.
