Zen Color - Color By Number Game Reviews

Can’t believe this app is free. I’ve been coloring in this app for over a year and I love it. I didn’t think I’d enjoy color by number, but I find it extremely relaxing and satisfying for some reason. This app has soooo many pictures to color, and they’re always adding more. And while it is ad supported, at most I’ll watch one ad before coloring a pic and one after. I’m thinking about buying the ad free version, not because there are too many ads which there aren’t, but because I want to support this app! To the developers, there are two things I would love to see added! The biggest one is I wish there was an option to switch a given color out for a different one (e.g. color #9 is red, I want to change it to pink). Sometimes the color palette just isn’t to my taste, or there’s a lot of a color I don’t like. This would open up a huge amount of creativity with just one little feature. The other is that I would love it if the video replay that you can download would play at the same speed as the initial replay it shows when you finish coloring. The downloadable one is too slow! Even without those changes, this app is fantastic and absolutely deserves five stars.

Wonderful fun. Coloring was always a relaxing pastime for me as a child, and I was happily surprised that this digital version was just as much fun. Even before I chose to pay for removing the ads, and getting unlimited clues, I was impressed that I wasn’t interrupted during a session. And then when there were ads, they were much less than any other app I’ve used. Five star fun, for sure. I’ve tried other coloring apps, and they don’t compare. The drawings aren’t as good, the flow is rushed, and there are too many tiny (almost invisible) dots. It takes forever to do a picture, and it doesn’t come together as well. This really is the best app of its kind. My only wish, is that there were more of the “special” pictures, I love the colors in them, and they’re realistic. They’re also more like a picture or a painting, rather than a colored-in drawing, and watching them create the picture is a lot more fun.

Great way to pass the time and exercise some creativity. I bought the paid tier within an hour of trying this out and I’ve used it every day since downloading it. I’ve been needing some mindless creativity to pass the time while recovering from burnout and this hit the spot. My only gripe is that some of the cells are hard to find but with the paid tier I can hone in on them with unlimited hints. AND you can long press an area to auto select the color, which is super helpful when there are almost 100 colors sometimes. My only gripe is that some of the art looks rushed or like it was generated, but because of the sheer volume of pictures in here I understand some quality has to be sacrificed to get the daily images in and there are ALWAYS new things when I open the app in many categories. And the ads are not that horrible if you just use the free tier, I would have stuck with that but I liked it so much that I wanted to support the devs (and get unlimited hints!)

Legit BEST coloring app available!. Truly this app has brought so much peace to my life. The colors are vibrant and upon filling a color space there is no “burst” - like many others. That “burst” is so distracting and completely takes away from the peace these kind of apps are supposed to bring to people. Reason for 4 stars~ 1.) although the music is very beautiful, the “loops” are a little disjointed and not as smooth as could be. I feel a few more that could play consecutively would be very beneficial. Instead of the loop being the same music you just heard. Andddd…. This isnt really a “complaint” but more of a request… please could you maybe explore adding storm pictures. (Your sky in every picture I’ve colored, is truly awesome!) There are no rainy pictures! Or stormy oceans. Tumultuous can be beautiful too! Maybe so more tall ship/pirate ship pictures? But definitely some pictures with RAIN please. Not every day is sunny and sometimes it’s comforting to color chaos of sorts. Thank you!

Outstanding Coloring App. I’ve been coloring Zen for over a year and still enjoy it over all my online activities. The vibrant colors and variety of options have improved significantly this past year. For example, I’ve never had any options like a stylish iron or sewing machine. I had one picture that is corrupt so it annoys me that I cannot complete it. I attempted to contact customer support over a year ago but received no response. Even though customer support is ineffective for me, this does not deter my enjoyment for coloring Zen. FROM LAST YEAR: I enjoy this coloring app better than any I’ve tried thus far. I enjoy the vibrant colors on some of the sketches. I like the Special sketches to see the picture progress with little effort, while having an option in other sketches to leave a focal point as I color around it. The colors are programmed in a way that I can follow the numbers chronologically, or choose to color the app as if I am painting it myself. I highly recommend this coloring app!

Great program but…... I love everything about this program except it has a tendency to freeze or lock up several times while I’m trying to complete a painting. Sometimes that will last a moment or two, and sometimes much longer. I occasionally have to shut it down and restart it right where I left off. I’m thinking that it might possibly have something to do with my number of completed paintings that have already completed, which is quite substantial. I don’t recall it freezing up back when I first got started with it. I’m flirting with the idea of deleting some of my earlier paintings but I hate to do that. Especially if it doesn’t correct my problem. I am using it on a 9th generation iPad with the latest operating system. I would also welcome the ability to use the program with my device rotated 90 degrees so I can work a painting in landscape mode. Lastly, I can’t figure out how I am supposed to use the bonus features. So I just ignore them. Great program overall though and extremely relaxing. I love to work a painting while following a baseball game on TV. Particularly if it’s a boring or low scoring game without much action.

I want to make it perfectly clear…. …that this retired 72 yo EMT/FF does NOT color by number! I am not a spry as I used to be, cannot run, but I can still put on a mean bandage! But in my heyday, I showed a bunch of male firefighters that we could do this job,too! I carry my pride everywhere! **I have for month been telling myself that I don’t color by number. I can choose my own colors, thank you! No mamby-pamdy coloring book for me! **I was bored today. Stressed a bit, too! Took the bulb out of a car fixture, so it would stop draining my battery. Discovered I was being moved to a new apartment (yay!) and still could NOT yet charge my battery! So, just for fun, I looked over the app site for this ZEN COLOR. What could it hurt? A few pictures looked interesting. So what’s with all those Wierd lines, oh, we used to call it, NEW AGE pictures. I chose a picture, promised myself if I felt like a baby coloring, I would delete it. **As I started tapping on the correct spaces…what??… I cannot even make a mistake…I can ONLY color in the correct spaces? This is going to be a short lived app….I wasn’t in the picture a few minutes when I felt my body let loose with a huge sigh. My muscles let go, hands relaxed….what? ** JUST FOR THE RECORD HERE; I do not COLOR BY NUMBER! ** I RELAX BY THE NUMBER! 👨🏼‍🚒🧑🏻‍🚒

Very Engaging!. This is a game that not only has a product to enjoy at the end but sparks interest and rewards along the way. Completing a vibrant picture is a reward at the first level. Being able to keep it is a second level. One is rewarded by completing categories of pictures, too! To help maintain interest, the game designers have added help features like automatic sequencing in the color numbers. Even the ads serve a purpose rewarding the player with location support. Mercifully most of the ads are short. Not all, but many are short enough that the player doesn’t lose interest. The most rewarding part of this experience, however, is that the final result is an artistic and satisfying picture. There is depth and dimension in each. I have my preferred category and delight that each day has new pictures for me to color. This is a creative, reflective, meditative way to spend a few minutes a day and come away feeling refreshed and pleased by one’s accomplishment. I enjoy looking back at the library of picture categories I have completed.

Good app EXCEPT. I like this app so much that I spend 1-2 hours a day on it. It helps relax me and make me think about non stressful things. EXCEPT for when I run across a picture drawn by “Art Challenge”. This artist has a goal of making his/her pictures almost impossible to complete. They are VERY stress provoking because 90% of the picture does not follow any lines. Almost every picture has some areas without lines, but this artist deliberately makes most of the picture without lines, making it hard to find the numbers. Another ploy this artist uses to frustrate the player is to totally disconnect numbers from any natural order at all. In effect, the player spends all his/her time going back and forth, back and forth searching for numbers without any logical order. The puzzles this artist creates take 1-2 hours by themselves and end up causing so much frustration and stress by the player that all the good stress relief is gone. I very much wish that the developer of this app would eliminate all the pictures by this artist. Fortunately this artist is not a common contributor.

Great pics, harassing Ads. If you love having blaring ads with no mute option, that loudly play sound even when your phone is on silent mode, then this is the app for you! The banner ads even pop up and cause the screen to go black where you have to close then reopen the app. Or best yet, they pop up and cover the color palette! Then you must go through multiple steps to close the ad. Waiting for the slowest 30 seconds to pass. Then waiting for the pause to hit the arrows where it takes you to another screen where you have to hit "done", which takes you to another screen where you wait for the glorious "X" to appear. Very disappointing as they have great pictures with pretty colors. I find this activity relaxing, but is ruined at the end with jarring, inescapable sound. Don't plan on using before bed, or when your partner's sleeping, or any place requiring quiet or you don't want everyone looking at you. The nice picture options and simplicity are the only reason I'm not rating it one star. They really, really, really try to harass you into buying the ad free level. Could be a great app but their ad approach is anything but zen.

Relaxing & fun but wish it had more hints for achievements. This is easily one of my most played apps. It has a range of themes for pictures, from simpler (takes around 15 minutes) to more challenging (takes 40+ minutes). I’ve colored over 700 pictures at this point and only one of them has a glitch where I’m not able to finish it, even with hints. I have the free version and you’ll get an ad before and after each picture, but you can skip it after about 10 seconds. My only complaint is there should be more rewards to get free hints. Most rewards in the Achievements section are just new pictures, but I have plenty of pictures to choose from. The only reward that you can consistently get ONE free hint from is coloring one picture every day for 7 days. I know paying for premium gets you unlimited hints, but it’d be nice if more of the rewards (which are gained by spending a lot of time using the app) could get you hints.

I really love relaxing doing these pictures...really nice. I do another color by number that I really enjoy, but wanted to add another slightly different one to my iPad. This has been very enjoyable. It took me a couple pics to get used to touching the color number before the picture showed me the shadows that tell me where to color. But not to bad now, and I like the many different choices of pictures. Especially the water bamboo zen ones. It took me awhile, but I found how to have the colors change automatically. I do like this app very much. Update... I love this app, so many different types of pictures to choose from. No complaints. Still like this app. Wish it had more winter scenes though. I love snow. Adding another detail... I found out by accident that you do not have to touch the color before you paint the picture. You just need to touch the picture where you need color and it automatically brings that color up. This helps to color your picture quicker. Great addition...I love it.

Wonderful app. This coloring app is great. I just love it. It is a perfect way to unwind after a stressful day. The funny part, is that the peaceful and calming music works for when my nieces are exhausted but fighting actually falling sleep. I have used the app as a calming tool for them both and it works great. The music in this game, even works for me sometimes, when I am in bed trying to sleep but my mind going 100 miles an hour, throwing out questions/issues/plans for the next day (& days ahead). I am tired/exhausted but I can’t shut my mind off to actually get to sleep. Bonus:!!: This game actually works, it gives my brain something to do, and the peaceful music in the background is so calming that normally within a 5-10 minutes of playing I can actually try again to go to sleep. It’s like my mind gets satisfied, and it lets me finally relax.

Enjoy. I was looking for something other than games with annoying ads or games you can’t win and I found this color site. There are other colors sites I tried, but I deleted them from my phone because I didn’t like very many of the pictures find that my age it’s weird. I got addicted to this color is relaxing. You can turn the music on or off. If you don’t see a picture you want to color you can scroll through the daily month by month can’t stop coloring sometimes it just is relaxing, peaceful, and no annoying ads if you pay a very small fee. This is the only app that I have actually paid a fee to keep on my phone. The fee was not out of sight but reasonable because I use this every day and sometimes just sit and color. It’s like being a kid again but you don’t need a box of crayons, I think I’m addicted to the picture finished.

Download this game!. As a mom, I wanted a game that I could play while I nursed my baby or had some extra free time. This game provided that for me. I love this game so much, everything about it is incredible. It doesn’t shove ads in your face like every other game does. You have to watch them once in a while before or after you finish a picture, but they never stop your coloring with an ad. The pictures are beautiful and they show you a sped up animation of how you colored it which is so satisfying to watch. I really appreciate that there aren’t pictures only people who pay can color, you’re given access to everything. This is exactly what I was looking for so thank you for creating such an amazing game. Something I think would be cool to add is to be able color pictures from our camera roll but that would just be an added bonus. I love this game so much and I look forward to the daily pictures every day. 🙌🏻🩷

Wonderful Coloring App. My favorite!. This app is wonderful for clearing your mind. If you enjoy paint by number coloring apps then this is the one for you. You do get an ad before and after coloring but the majority of the pictures are so detailed that they take a lot of time to complete so it makes up for the ad time. I particularly enjoy the daily pictures they release. It’s nice to sit down everyday and set aside time to decompress while coloring. I enjoy the variety of pictures they have available. I would often delete coloring apps after becoming bored with the selection available. This app is the exception as I’ve kept this app for around a year or more now. I even suggested it to my mother who also enjoys paint by numbers. She also enjoyed the detailed pictures. Overall I highly recommend this app for users. Well worth the time it takes to color in my personal opinion.

Best in class. I enjoy doing a paint by numbers. This one caught my eye due to my philosophical practice being Zen Buddhism. But I think anyone would enjoy the beautiful pictures you make with this app. And the only cost is one to do away with ads. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that I've found (so far) that four of the drawings can't be finished. And I sent feedback about them to the developers, both on their feedback button in the app and on their website, but didn't get any response. It's very frustrating to not be able to communicate with them. The other thing I've learned is that, on the page that shows your achievements, once you hit a number of a certain type of puzzle you've completed that doesn't show you how many more pages of that type you need to do to complete a goal, you'll never see that target number giving you the free puzzle no matter how many more of the type you do. i.e., if you see you have done 84 butterfly pages, and need 6 more to hit the target of 90, you'll get a free puzzle when you've done the six. But if it simply says a certain type of page will give you the free puzzle when you have done 150, but doesn't show you how many you've done so far, nothing will happen when you've completed the 150.

Great variety, fun coloring but only on one device.. Only reason I am giving a 4 star is I and I am going to assume most people have multiple devices (I have iPad Air, iPad Pro and iPhone) I would love if there was a way to have this with all of the same pics I have colored on all of my devices and it was the same across the board. Instead on each device I have different pictures colored because it does not share across. Which is crazy in today’s tech. There is no way to update to show what pics you have done on your phone or iPad. Very frustrating. Other than that I have not had many problems, once the music stopped playing but the next day it was back, but to be honest I usually listen to my own music so I will mute it anyways. I read someone said they can’t complete a pic, I have never had that problem and I have colored a lot of pictures. It is a good variety of pics to color. I like the Zen, focus and mandalas. I do have the paid version because I hate ads. So I’m still leaving it as a four star because even though we can now sync, it’s still doesn’t sync it all the way, and my iPad only shows what I’ve done on my iPad and my phone only shows what I’ve done on my phone. And if I’m working on something on my phone. It’ll show that I’m working it on my phone, but it’s not colored. Hopefully the sync will get better.

Good, bad, then good again.. Started messing with zen color about three weeks ago. I was still using iOS 16. It worked great and I had a lot of fun. I upgraded iOS 17, all of a sudden the app started having a clicking sound in it. It was very annoying so I deleted the app. I tried reloading the app, but the clicking sound continued, while trying to use the app to paint. Went back there yesterday, found out that there was an upgrade version. Downloaded the app. Started coloring again. Voilà, no more clicking sound! Thank you for fixing whatever was wrong with the app. It's a lot of fun! Although, I have to take many breaks because my eyes get sore after about 30 minutes. [but that's the same with any app] Thanks again for fixing the app. Pat [about the new upgrade] although everything seems fine, it would be nice if you change one thing back. Please let me download the picture I color, by itself. I enjoyed coloring a pretty picture, writing a poem, and sending it in a message to my wife. It's not like I'm trying to steal, copyrighted material. The image size only allows it to be printed as a 5 x 5 with any quality. So please take out the background or give me an option where I can just download the picture I finished, by itself. Thank you for listening.

Download NOW. I don’t even know where to start with this. It is such a good game first of all it has your daily library and once that you’re half done with and what’s the charity done with where you can look at all the beautiful pictures that they’ve already done it’s so relaxing the color with and I kind of find interesting that it’s the first game inspired by that at least that’s what it says. You can choose what background you want. I love that. It’s so aesthetic and paintings are coloring that you choose to do it recommends other pictures like that to your library or daily every single time you paint a picture like if I painted a picture of a dog in a cat, it would recommend more animal pictures for me to color that I absolutely love. It’s so aesthetic. It’s so relaxing and the graphics are amazing. I hope that you can download this game as soon as possible five star children appropriate I love this game so much. Have a good day. Fantastic Meditation Tool For 24/7 Chronic Severe Pain. I have been using this app as a Meditation app to help with SEVERE chronic pain caused by several autoimmune diseases, including a pretty rare one called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, as well as Lupus. In the 45 years I’ve been dealing with this, I have picked up many tools to aid me in dealing with the pain, including Hypnosis and Meditation. This app is a really fun, creative, motivational outlet for me, but can also be used just for fun, or to help de-clutter your mind of the stress and anxiety of daily life. I have already shared this app with my close friends and family members, who have their own ways of coping with my diseases as they help take care of me! This app provides me with an ESSENTIAL part of my pain management, stress relief, and a fun alternative to social media! I CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH! Fun, Relaxing, Unbelievable Variety. Want something to do to stay occupied during long waits while traveling, before an appointment, or simply for relaxation, something that's actually creative, instead of playing video games? Zen Color is my "Go To" app. Give it a try, there are plenty of free pictures to select from, in a wide variety of categories; I purchased, without regret, the Premium version, which met my preferences by eliminating annoying ads & made all pictures available. New pictures are added daily, & there's a library where unfinished, as well as finished, pictures can be found &/or stored. I especially enjoy the challenges that can be claimed - no worries, there's no time frame to finish them in - & the 2 ways completed pictures can be stored (as pictures or as "videos", which allows your completed picture to empty, then fill in again before your eyes, cell by cell, "like magic, Grammie!"). Thoroughly fun, very relaxing & easy to share; no video game compares!

Color crazy. This game is so relaxing. I love the saturated colors, the artistry in sketches, the variety in subjects, and the encouragement along the way. I never get bored with a picture even though some are very delicate, precise, and tiny. So challenging to find the last space in maybe 2 or 3 colors at the end. No frustration because of the helps given for just viewing an ad (more than once lol) and I still feel like I’ve accomplished the picture with just a little help. My favorite go-to every night and trying to reach the goals set in various topics. Always complete 2-4each night. Thanks for a great creative outlet. Wish I could sometimes do my own choice of colors but then the picture would not be as beautiful. I’m not an artist by nature, that’s why I do color by number. Thanks to the real great artists and thanks again for a really enjoyable experience. Not having to spend money continuously is also a great plus. Highly recommend!

Exquisite Pictures. I love doing the “Special” category where lovely shading occurs within each cell shape. The results are honestly breathtaking. My mind focuses on the work and absolutely nothing else, and sometimes I’ll work on them for hours at a time, one after another—the most glorious vacation imaginable, pure relaxation. It’s kind of magical, really. I wish they would provide more variety in the music, though, because listening to the same tune repeatedly for hours is hard to manage gracefully. Still, if the repetition becomes too annoying, I simply turn off the sound and keep working. I think this whole thing is addicting! When not in the Special Category, the pictures of interiors and Victorian houses’ exteriors tend to have garish colors—turquoise walls with pink, orange, purple, and blue furniture inside and all those colors together on the outside. Who could live that way? I’ve stopped working on those types of pictures because they look so silly when I’m through. The same two songs are driving me crazy. There’s a third one that’s very lovely, but it only plays—possibly—once in ten pictures.

Changed my life. I have severe anxiety and it was to the point where I was having panic attacks every day. I tried other anti anxiety apps but they did nothing to help calm me down. I needed an app that would draw my attention in and take my mind off of everything and I finally found that with this app. The second I start to feel like I’m going to start panicking I jump on this app and within a few minutes I forget about the anxiety and focus on the picture that I’m coloring. My anxiety was debilitating I’ve tried therapy, meds, and many recommendations from my drs but nothing helped. Finding this app has truly changed my life I finally feel like I have control of my anxiety and knowing that I have this app to get me through my panic attacks I’m having them less and less. I went from having multiple panic attacks a day to hardly any at all. I want to thank whoever created this app because it has truly changed my life

Zen is addictive!. I have always loved coloring since I was a child. I used to watch Captain Kangaroo and Mr. Greenjeans around the age of 3 and I would be sprawled out in the floor coloring. In 1st grade I received stars and Apple stickers on my coloring. One of my favorite memory was at Christmas time Mom would always buy my brother and I a new coloring book and a box of new crayons. I loved choosing the perfect greens and reds to do a wreath with a big bow. Green and red are 2 of the best colors together. The thing I love most about Zen is the brilliance of each picture as it gets clearer to you as how they come together so perfectly. Keep up the good work. Would love more pictures of each holiday (Valentines/St. Patrick Leprechauns/ Easter Eggs and Sheep/jack-o-lanterns/ Turkeys and Pilgrims with Indians/Cowboys/Bridal Party/Groom getting ready with boutonnières/Wedding Rings/ Bouquets and you need to bring in Religious options. Thank you for being such a great way to relive some wonderful past! Sherry

Doesn’t Replenish. I’m not sure how often the app is supposed to replenish with new pictures, but it doesn’t replenish daily, every other day, and not even weekly. Some random days, the app will refresh like it is restarting and lo and behold, new pictures. Then I will see a bunch of others that are not marked as new, that I would see for the first time. I’ve had the app about 8 weeks thus far, and only had 3 replenishes. I do get the daily picture only, but not new photos for all the other categories. Oh, and so many of the photos are duplicates. I would do one picture and then a couple of weeks later, see the same picture. Aside from that, it’s pretty addicting, and that’s a plus, because I have other coloring apps, but this is the one preferred. Oh yeah… that music is nonsense. I purchased because I thought it was a nice addition. However, imagine listening to the same 2-minute music looping over and over again while you color. No bueno. It’s really bad when you go directly to sleep, because it will play in your dreams for the entire night… Seriously. Other times, the music would just stop after the 2 minutes of playing. Now, I just mute the app’s music and play my own in the background.

favorite color by number app. My favorite color by number for mindless relaxing is Zen Color. The free version is pretty fantastic for this kind of app. Lots of great pictures, new images all the time. I find the music relaxing. I’ve been doing one before bed. They also let you share and you get bonus images by doing a certain amount of coloring in different areas. Example 3 nature pictures gets you a bonus picture. But even without that there’s lots of images available for free. The animation is cool. The ads aren’t horrible. They only pop up before or after, not while you’re in the middle. Unless you want to earn free hints by watching extra ads. This is so smart since the premise is Zen/relaxation. The only glitch has been every once-in-awhile I can’t get out of the Royal Flush game ad. No X to close out. Please fix this annoying problem. Otherwise very happy. The price to go ad free isn’t bad - $9.99. I will likely pay for it soon as I like supporting well done Apps. As a software tester once-upon-a-time it’s obviously well thought out and cared for. Thank you developers! Potential future improvements- several music choices, color choices as an option & if this is added then also the ability to use an image again and again.

I AM OBSESSED!!. This amazing coloring app has changed my life believe it or not! I was completely addicted to several iOS games and was spending all kinds of $money$ I didn’t really have just to play these money-grubbing games. :( Once I found Zen Color, all that stopped! For a while, I played with ads, but then paid the one time, very small fee to remove ads - TOTALLY WORTH IT! And now, I spend my time coloring all kinds of pictures and sending them to my mom, to my aunties, to my cousin, (who has cancer and loves a cheerful pic everyday) to my kids, and to my friends! There seems to be not just one, but many pictures to fit all these people’s interests, hobbies, tastes and personalities! I 💜love💜the fact that you actually EARN more pictures to color…you don’t PAY for more. I am so tired of in-app purchase games. But, Zen Color is not about that and I really hope it stays that way! There are literally hundreds of pictures and all sorts of categories. Also, I have tried probably 20+ other coloring app and I just end up deleting them and going right back to my ZEN!🧘🏼 If you enjoy being on your phone and you’re tired of getting addicted to expensive iOS games, please download this app! Get addicted to a fun, HEALTHY app, that also gives pleasures to others as you share your finished pictures!! THANK YOU ZEN!!! Jen in Kansas xo

It Froze!!! Update. I uninstalled and installed for the second time (I really HATE the thought of losing the money I paid to have the ads removed!). My previous work and related rewards were not recovered and this didn’t surprise me. I’ve discovered that the only problem with the app now is the Daily menu; I cannot open these images because it says I don’t have internet connection. Every other picture opens without any problem, so I obviously have internet!!! PLEASE EITHER RESTORE MY APP OR REFUND MY MONEY! I would also suggest that you include an option to report this kind of problem so future issues can be addressed without the need to lose everything the user has invested in the app. GARBAGE support!!! I was really enjoying this app; I even paid to have the ads removed. But today, it froze. I couldn’t get today’s pictures to load no matter what I did, even restarting my iPad and turning the Wi-Fi off and on. All of my other apps were current and working properly. I took the drastic action of deleting the app and reinstalling. Now it says my internet isn’t connected (it clearly is!) and all of my work is gone. I presume it wouldn’t remember that I paid to have the ads removed, either. SO FRUSTRATING!

The Journey. I wanted to let you know that I am enjoying the journey through your site. Every day I open new pages. Some have me totally biting my nails as I get closer to finishing a picture. then there are those that I’m not happy with your choices of color, I don’t particularly liking the subject matter , or like today, doing a picture that I imagined would be green grass and leaves and learning that it must be autumn. The mystery pictures have really been fun. I do wish either all the pictures were painted flat, or more three dimensional, but then, too, that is all a surprise. I am enjoying the diverse subject matter. Be it in the complexion of skin, or the construction of a building. Thank you. You are so very appreciated. Linda I’m still enjoying. Love this app. I downloaded this app back in November 2023 and it has been amazing for helping my anxiety and just to relax in general. The ads were a bit annoying so I purchased the non ad version which gives multiple hints and no ads at all. I never use the music I will usually watch a show in the background while I color. I really recommend this app with the ad free purchase, it is $9.99 I believe but it’s 100% worth it if you really enjoy the app. I have colored 1400 pictures and my favorites are the Art Challenge category pictures, they have so much detail and lots of different colors and it takes a little bit longer but the pictures are always so pretty. Normally when I download games on my phone I’ll play maybe for a week then I’ll never play it again but this is one I use frequently on a daily basis. It keeps me off social media because I tend to scroll and scroll and that’s never a good thing. If your looking for a relaxing game and like color by number this is the perfect game! You get new pictures daily (make sure to fully close and reopen the app to see them) and there are so many different categories! Thank you for this wonderful game :)

Favorite app to waste time on. I love coloring on this app. But I really wish there were a few features to make it better. Top suggestion would be to have a search bar so if, for example, I really would like to color some frogs today, I can just type frogs and all of the pictures with frogs would come up. This would also be helpful in finding pictures I’ve already colored that I want to view again. Another suggestion is to maybe make it more algorithmic to cater to a person’s taste. Like having either a thumbs up or thumbs down, or star rating. I personally don’t like really cutesy, cartoony kittens and puppies. But maybe that’s another person’s taste. I also would really rather color nature and wild animals and plants than architecture or interiors. If the programming could cater to such preferences, it would be better in my opinion.

Perfect app!. I absolutely LOVE Zen Color!! I’ve had it only a few months but have colored hundreds of pictures. There are multiple different kinds of pictures from various artists that give you plenty of engaging variety. Yes, it is addicting. I love that there is a timer but it only tells you how long it took to color the picture. I especially love the fact that it only counts the time your finger is on the screen and not the multiple minutes you’re staring at the picture trying to find a particular color. Another aspect of the app that I LOVE is the fact that I can hold my finger down on an uncolored space to highlight and fill it in. I like to color in the order I want to see it animate. It’s especially more enjoyable than going in number order. Developers please don’t change this!! My only suggestion to developers would be the ability to see the bonus badge counter - or whatever it is. When you receive a bonus, a little badge counter adds another number to the badge in the top right corner. The problem for me is, I want to click on it because it looks like it’ll “tell you” something. But it appears quickly and disappears. I’ve done everything I can think of to access it, even going into settings, but I'm unable and it’s frustrating. If you enjoy color by number, it is 100% worth paying for the unlocked version. There are no ads and there are unlimited hints. Unlimited hints are extremely useful in finding that last tiny spot that you eludes you.

Multicolored Colors. So overall I really love this app. It really is relaxing and I’ve spent so much time in just the last week coloring the pictures. I love to color, but I don’t have the eye for what would go together well. My paper coloring efforts tend to be monstrosities. Saying that, I’ve encountered a few pictures where some of the numbers are multicolored, and maybe I’m just being extra, but that just felt like a slap in the face. And so what if I’m being extra. But it’s actually really annoying to me, especially when the delineated colors within the “one” color are so obviously separate. Like if you’re going to do that, just make the whole picture a one tap and it’s done. I love going from number to number, color to color and seeing two colors together and thinking there’s no way that’s going to look good and then it’s done and the end product is beautiful. Multicolor tapping just kinda ruins that for me a little bit. I do still love the app, so I am giving 4 stars, but this definitely decreases my enjoyment.

Fun App. I want to call this mindless fun, but it’s not really mindless at all. It reminds me more of the “I Spy”, books I used to buy for my children. It’s very fun, especially when it’s something I can complete on my own. Since becoming disabled, this is one of only a few things I can physically do without help from someone else. The images are (mostly), beautiful. That said, some of the details of some of the pictures is way off. A horse with split hooves for instance. Bird & butterfly colorations are way off in some cases. Now if this was advertised as strictly “fantasy themed”, I could more easily accept the differences. But when everything else is clearly reality based, it’s hard to see those split hoofed horses and not cringe. And like I mentioned, it’s not every picture. I’ve only run across a few and so far I’ve finished a good many. Closing thoughts… fun, easy to play and worth buying to be free of the ads. I also like that there are goals and a daily pic to complete. It keeps things going, moving forward. I would have given 5 stars, but just couldn’t go all the way with those split hoofed horses:( Otherwise, highly recommended.

Love This App. This is the best digital paint by numbers out there. I have them all and this is the only one I use. I have done over 300 so far and haven’t even knocked a dent in the library or categories they offer and new ones are added daily along with a mystery one weekly and bonus ones for achievements you make. It’s one of the most relaxing and calming apps I’ve found in a very very long time and guess what you don’t have to purchase a thing it’s free and the only ads are when you finish one and move forward to the next one or you have to stop and need to continue later other then that it basically ad free. I highly recommend this app to anyone that just needs a time out from the world & I almost forgot it also has calming music you can cut on or off that’s up to you and it also offers hints when you just can’t find that last spot to complete the picture. Download and enjoy and hey if it turns out you don’t enjoy it like we do then just remove it so what’s there to loose ????? ENJOY “I DO”

LOVE This app!!!!. Soooo glad we “accidentally “ found this app several months back. My 70 year old mom and myself both are addicted to it. We NEVER miss a day of coloring, its so relaxing! The great choice of pics and vibrant colors keep us coming back to it. Over the years I have tried all the other color apps and NEVER stayed interested more than a few days at the very most. Zen color is ABSOLUTELY better than all the others!!! At first the ads were annoying but then I paid the small fee and never have to be bothered with the ads anymore AND also get unlimited hints. We especially like the daily pics, we wait eagerly every day until midnight to see what the new daily pic will be, and if it will be something we like. I hope zen color never changes anything, its all very good already, just the way it is!! Thank you for all the fun of coloring that you provide with all the great picture choices and great colors!!!

Update- Bug was eventually fixed!. Used to love this app, extremely addictive until the prior update. Then one day all the completed pictures and rewards went blank. Pictures don’t save, whether in progress or completed. All apps have problems occasionally, but there has been no word about this from the creators or even an announcement letting us know an update trying to fix it was available. For me, apps only continue to draw me in when they return a (usually false) sense of accomplishment. Having the picture vanish on completion definitely removes that for me. So I guess… thanks? I appreciate your altruism in finding a way to break my attraction to your app. Update: Bug was eventually fixed. Recently new artists added and they're great! Still get the same style lovely zen and mandalas as before, but with more variation. The animals are now wonderful. More accuracy and details, more species (platypus!), better poses and backgrounds. The animal emphasis has shifted nicely to beauty over cuteness. Flowers are coming in greater variety of species and color, and the koi are often bright ornamental colors rather than muddy wild carp brown. New butterflies are showing up again, and the new simple category is wonderful for a mental refresher or quick break. I've fallen in love with this app all over again!!

I’ve Been Zenned!. I’ve used a few of the top rated (per Apple) coloring apps and I really liked them. But when I downloaded Zen Color, I was immediately in love with the app. I am not sure what makes this app so special. Is it that it works perfectly natural? Everything is flawlessly designed. I never have to think about where to tap or where to find anything. Is it the art? Well chosen designs. Well sorted. Even a few of those pages with the *special paint* that are so fun to do. I really like that the artwork doesn’t have every color spot outlined in black, looks much more like a real sketch. Music and sound effects are nice and relaxing. Also it is really fast to load and paint. One of those apple top rated apps is so slow that it ruins my mood and I just want to spit! I just don’t know what exactly makes zen color so special but somehow everything combines to make it my ultimate favorite painting app. I hope you try it and enjoy it as much as I do!

Great for relaxing. I didn’t play the game much when I first downloaded it, but now I color at least a partial picture every day, and sometimes I finish several if I have time. It really relaxes me. The music is pleasant, even though it loops, although I wish they would add more of the spa type sound, and I wish we could choose which songs to hear rather than have it just randomly open to one. But if you are tired of the one that opens first, just close and reopen the picture and it will probably be different. It gets repetitive to anyone within earshot, but it’s also part of what helps me relax. I do color pictures with the sound turned off too. There’s a variety of types of pictures too, including a mystery picture. Some have many small parts, others are more simple and don’t take as long. At least six new pictures are added daily. This has become my go-to app in the evening before I fall asleep, or when I just need to take a mental break and decompress during the day. The ads are not overwhelming. Overall this is a good app.

Amazing!. I have downloaded and deleted several coloring apps. Zen color has become my go to app for a relaxing break. The choices are wonderful and new ones arrive daily. The sketches are crisp(except for the occasional Art Challenge Color by Number entries). The pictures marked “special” are delightful. I love this app! I am fascinated by the shadows you create on land and the reflections in water. I continue to enjoy this app. Thanks for creating the Mystery Category. This is my new favorite, since I’ve finished all the Specials. Keep up the excellent work. I sometimes question your color choices (brown coniferous trees and purple animals) but when I complete a picture it always looks great. I have finished every sketch in the All category. Every day I hope for new sketches in the Butterflies, and Marine categories.😉I’m loving the new feature that tells you how long you worked on each picture. I do miss the little popping sound that used to tell me I was moving on to the next color choice. I’m enjoying the blue checked background, but fine it a bit difficult in finding small blue cells.

My New Happy Place. I love this app—I might even say it is now my favorite. It is completely worth the $10 to remove ads and get unlimited hints. I could spend a lot more than that on physical coloring books and markers that would in the end create trash in a landfill, so to me it was a no-brainer. Thank you for not forcing a subscription on us. I love that there is a great variety of coloring pages, some easy, some hard, tons of themes and always beautiful at the end. I enjoy watching the satisfying animation at the end that shows how I worked through each one. If I could change one thing, it would be to add a dark mode that would turn the non-work area black or dark gray. I often want to use the app at night before bed to calm my mind but the white screen edges make that less effective. Otherwise, change nothing! :)

Relaxing and addictive. I enjoy relaxing with this app so much. I don’t have to think; all I have to do is look at pretty pictures and fill in pretty colors. It’s insanely soothing. I see that other reviewers want users to be able to choose their colors. Please don’t do that, I love seeing the artist’s vision for what their picture should look like. I also see other reviewers clamoring for bright, vibrant colors. While those have their place, my favorite images contain deep blues, muted greens, and soft greys. If pictures were classified by color palette - e.g. “calming colors” and “lively colors” - that would help me as I love those quiet, calming shades. “Zen” and “Nature” are my favorite categories. FYI for new users - yes there are lots of ads but they occur only before painting a picture. Developers have to make money somehow so I don’t begrudge them the ads. But I do enjoy this app so much I may end up actually purchasing it because the ads are quite long and $9.95 is a bargain for an app of this quality.

The problem is not the game but Applovin!. The real problem is the pop up video ads! I get watching an ad to get a “light bulb” but not everything you start & finish a picture! There is an ad bar running at the bottom of the screen all the time! The ads they have are gambling app ads & that is something I don’t appreciate seeing! I do not gamble & have the right to not have to see them when I’m trying to color! What if a teenager or a smaller kid downloaded this app? I am sure their parents would not be happy seeing the gambling ads running on what’s supposed to be a family friendly app! Edit. Not only is this game full of gambling ads now, it’s got ads that run over a minute is you try to get extra “lightbulbs”! Love how the developers actually care what the people that use it it think! Relaxing is something you can’t do on this app because you are having to get aggravated looking for the smallest of cells! The developer ignores the criticism & only responds to the bought & paid for praise! Another problem is the small cells! There is nothing relaxing about tying to find cells that are practically naked to the human eye! They do this to get money from people by them watching ads for help! Also, love how the developers ignore the reviews that criticize them but will respond to fake praises!

Zen App Rating. I really enjoy this coloring opportunity! The pictures are of great quality and there is a positive feeling when you finish a picture and you can watch it play back. I use different kinds of strategies to color pictures, whether it be a very organized approach so the play back is fun to watch, or a more disorganized color effort. For a time there, I thought I was cursed by your daily pictures as they seemed so similar and there were just so many cells to color and every picture seemed impossibly busy and intentionally made so. Now it seems that the daily picks are presenting a variety of different types of pictures and I really enjoy that. I also like all the different categories and sometimes planning to reach a goal of a certain kind of picture colored. There is enough variation in using this app to provide full enjoyment whatever your mindset is for your coloring time. Your daily pictures are just too busy. Doesn’t leave me time to do other pics you offer.

My review. I like the pictures and usually paint every day. The only thing I dislike is how slow it is. I like to skip around a lot and the program just can not keep up. There is a long delay and sometimes it even freezes up, which is very annoying which causes me to get frustrated and end it. I go to another coloring ad and wait until it clears up before I can go back. I would like for the program to respond a lot faster. This is the third time I have written a review! I don’t know if my previous reviews mattered however the issues I wrote about before have improved. I care more about some pictures than others, but overall like the selections. I would like to see more interior and building which are my favorites. The tiny hidden colors do not respond to repeated taps. I have absolutely had to quit on the pictures because of this issue.

Love it!. Unlike other coloring apps, I like being able to touch the area I want to color instead of having to hunt for the color in the color line up. So easy to enjoy! I especially love the zen pictures, though some details are lost in the darkness of the pic. The only downside for me is the fact that some of the artist don’t have a clue to details about animals; specifically eyes and feet. Being an artist myself, it ruins the experience when a dog or horse (or cat, deer, cow, etc.) has eyes drawn like a human with the the ‘whites’ visible or the angle all wrong! The birds would be so much nicer if the feathers followed the lines and symmetry found in nature and for heaven’s sake, learn to draw their feet!! Terrible!! Even with these irksome problems I still spend (waste?) hours coloring in this app! I only dropped a star because of of the above mentioned issues that probably bother only me. On the whole, I highly recommend it over any other coloring app! Enjoy!!

Absolutely love it. I originally got this app because my kids kept wanting color by number apps, and all the ones they downloaded were not very good. Very limited colors, poorly bordered cells, simple pictures, etc. I very quickly started using Zen Color myself. Tons of pictures to choose from, loads of colors, cells are well defined whether large or really tiny. Some pictures have over 100 colors, at least one picture I did had at least 3,000 cells. I pretty quickly paid for no ads, since it’s permanent and not a subscription. I’ve done over 100 pictures and don’t plan on stopping. The following two things are about the only negatives I have. These are definitely in the “nit-pick” category of negatives. 1. I wish there was an “undo” function. Some of the pictures I really like doing in order of cell placement, not color number. If I accidentally fill a cell out of order, depending on the picture it can really mess up the flow of the playback at the end. 2. I’d like to be able to slow down the playback speed of the coloring. Some of these pictures are really cool how they get filled in, and I’d like to be able to follow the detail more closely. It plays so fast it’s hard to catch some small little fill ins.

Wonderful game. The coloring pages are varied in difficulty and subject matter, which makes it perfect for my different moods and the degree of mental alertness (I often turn to the ap when I am battling insomnia). I like that I can begin a page and save it for later. I like that watching an ad gives me two hints if I get stuck, so I do not have to spend money using the ap. I really appreciate the daily addition of new pages to color. I love the patterns and mandalas especially. I used tangible, “real” coloring books and colored pencils to relax some years ago, but my arthritis limits the coloring I can do manually because of pain and cramping in my hands, wrists, and forearms. So far at least, this ap allows me to pursue the same relaxation, the same diversion, without the physical cost. My only suggestion for the future? Perhaps once in a while you could feature a page where the colors can be chosen by the colorer rather than being preset by the ap. I don’t even know if this is possible, but it’d be fun. Thanks for making this my go-to for diversion, and making it a pastime I can enjoy every day!

Perfect sleep entertainment. Helps me get sleepy when I go to bed, I can’t sleep without a bit of entertainment. Not stressful for your eyes when scrolling or colouring a bit. I highly recommend that many people that just need a bit of entertainment before they can sleep. I play this game almost every night, as it calms my brain and makes me sleepy.

Best mindfulness & de-stress app. Being an artist I didn’t want to just colour in, but I decided to give it a go. My Oura ring thinks I’m taking a nap when on this app! I am that relaxed! It helps focus the mind to be present and I enjoy at least 30 minutes in doing one image, maybe more a day, especially to de-stress. It also has helped me with my art, taught me more about shadow work and colours. And it’s free!

Beautiful App. Beautiful app with a range of pictures for almost any taste and relaxing background music. Only small quibble - the background chequered pattern for uncoloured patches zooms with the picture, which can make tiny area hard to find if they are over only a white cell. Was happy to pay the small fee to get rid of ads - which are not all that intrusive anyway.

Much better now with no ads. So much more relaxing now that I paid to have no ads, not happy to pay more expensive then other aps to get rid of ads, but I gave in cause I like the pictures and it was not relaxing with so many ads, now i can enjoy as I was going to delete.

Freedom of Colour. I thoroughly enjoy this app. It is relaxing but also challenging. Completing a Design is very satisfying, and you can choose designs of different levels of complexity according to how much detail, and time you wish to invest. I would like to see some Fashion Design, Music/ Entertainment Images and Art Masterpieces included to colour as I think they would be well received by children and teenagers. Also, the illustration style of many designs is from the past. It would be nice to see some contemporary illustrations too. Lizzie Jones

Zen Colour. Amazing app!! Honestly, I’m absolutely crazy about it - it’s my meditation. I HAVE to do at least one picture a day. There are so many available, you could never run out. Relaxing. Enjoy playing this game to relax. Could be improved by grouping the colours together in order- first all greens, then all blues etc rather than random. Would also like to see some pictures with more monotone colour schemes - I love the colours but not every picture needs the entire rainbow. A desert scene would be lovely with just reds, yellows, oranges and browns. It didn’t need the blues, greens, purples and pinks it had! Also please stop making ridiculous health claims in your ads - this game is relaxing sure, buts it’s no better for your health than a stretch and a couple of deep breaths.

Change it. Its an alright game yet it shouldn’t need internet not everyone has internet and it would be really good to play on public transport. It doesn’t work without internet and the only reason I really got this game was because I didn’t think it did needed wifi. I would also like to talk about the designs some of the colour spaces are too small to even see it takes me ages to find a colour space that’s too small

Zen Colour. This is the best game ever. I am completely obsessed. The pictures, the colours couldn’t be better. So many options to pick from. When I first started playing it was great & then a few glitches started appearing but now they seem to have been fixed. I would recommend this game for young or old. I am an oldie & love it.

Cheza77. Absolutely love Zen colour. Is very relaxing but stimulating at the same time. One big criticism is the amount of advertisements that interrupt my colouring. It is relaxing in a frustrating kind of way It is very satisfying when you finish a picture I really enjoy it and find it calming as in it slows me down Above is what I wrote just at the start of using this app Now I am addicted to it. Brilliant app. I really love this app. It’s pretty close to addictive. The range of drawings is huge and added to all the time. Colours are brilliant, and there is a spectrum of difficulty from fairly simple to pretty challenging (finding those last few cells in a complicated image can be hard, but there’s a handy Hint function). I bought the ad-free version as I really hated the ads - and their length - and it is so worth it based on the app quality and how much you get. I figure I’ve got YEARS of images at my fingertips. Very highly recommended.

A few quibbles. I love this app and use it every day. Things I think would improve it…to be able to change the orientation from portrait to landscape just because I play it on my iPad and find it easier to hold this way. Also a bit more variation in the back ground music would be nice. I don’t like the “specials” but that is the only thing I don’t like.

Animations are fun to watch at the end. This is very relaxing and helps me zone out other distractions for a while. The only thing.. when the animation does its thing.. its too fast! I like to see the animation. Do you think you could put a setting in so we can chose how fast or slow the animation goes? This is a lovely app and pictures are lovely too. Thank you

Zensational. My fav colour app. The drawings are so good and really varied. There are lots to choose from and the themes are even grouped and tabbed for choosing from. Like that there is a summary page of the drawings completed. So impressed with this app. The only drawback is the constant adverts. I paid to take the adverts out, which I wouldn’t usually do. If you use this app constantly, it’s worth the money.

Beautiful Calming Pictures & Vibrant Colours. I absolutely love Zen Colour so much. I play every day before work and it is so relaxing and calming. I am so pleased to have found this app. Thank you to the developers for bringing me so much pleasure. My stress just melts away when colouring. It is really well worth paying the on off fee. An absolutely pleasurable experience. I love the way there are so many choices of what to colour. Thank you!

Zen color by number. Very enjoyable art app with a great set of defined lines and color combinations. However unlike the promotional adds for this app there are ads and often the very annoying kind that require 3 or 4 attempts to close it. A new art choice cannot be selected, for example, without watching a tedious and repetitive set of ads. Other than that it is quite relaxing and satisfying, especially the end speed up of how you complete the picture.

Number of Cells. Great game, but I think each picture should notify us of the number of cells in it. I had no response to my previous suggestion, I still think it would add to the game, allowing us to know in advance roughly the detail and time needed to complete a picture. I would also love to see more actual scenery of world wide landmarks, such as Uluru, which I have already done. Thanks for your request for feedback, a response would be nice or an implementation of my suggestions would be even better!

Zen - Color By Number. This is my chill out game …and I play this everyday. When I need quiet time I play this and block out the world, I love it. Less ads (or less of the same ads) would be good. They don’t last long though so they’re easy to put up with. 👍🏽👍🏾 The biggest improvement for me would be if the completed pics were moved so it would be easier to find designs not yet started instead of having to just keep scrolling for ages. Update: With the last game update it seemed to do exactly what I wanted and now I can move finished puzzles and easily find new ones to do., thank you. The ads are still a bit of a pain but they’re not as bad as ones in other games. I’d give this game an extra 5 stars if I could. We’ll done team ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ 👍🏽 loving it

Love this app!. Have been playing every day for hours at a time. It’s so relaxing, allows me to chill out and enjoy some quiet time which is an awesome way to de-stress. The only criticism I have is that I play on both my iPhone and iPad and the progress on each device is independent of the other - it would be good if I could start on the phone and finish on the iPad and vice-versa. So save progress to carry on in either device…I can’t see a profile option to login or anything either…but other that that, great app, absolutely love it! 😉

Fun, relaxing and huge choice of pictures. This is such a simple app, and I come back to it again and again for relaxation and fun. There's a very large variety of pictures to choose from, but my favourites are the "Mystery" ones, with no outlines; I love seeing the picture appear gradually. Lovely App! 🙌🏻

Zen colour review. It is a great app it is so relaxing but also fun to do. Sometimes me and my friends have a race on the same picture to see who is the fastest. I think it is an amazing for people who like to be relax but also like to have a little fun whilst relaxing. I give it four stars because I think that it could maybe have a search bar so you can find what you want to colour faster.

Zen colour. The only complaint I have is that when you cannot find two or three small pieces you have to watch a different advert for each one you should be able to have 5 shots. I don’t pay attention to any ads so they are wasted on me . It as this is a calm game ! It does ring my blood pressure up waiting for the things to finish. It’s that or leave the picture unfinished.

Hi so I love this game but this reply is to Millydaisy who says she can’t find where to purchase the no ads but really it is quite simple on the top of your screen it has to buttons a sound one and a weird shape all you do is tap on the weird shape and it has all the purchases including the add one I hope this helps you.

Relaxing. I had been sick of alway having game sent to me, only use them twice then others are brought up on my screen. Love colouring and saw zen, I downloaded and yes you need to purchase your color palates, very reasonable. I am so pleased I did, love it, although I would say it could become addictive.

Ads, ads and more ads. Love this app. Have been using it for a while now and it still has me hooked. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is the ads! When they run they are quite intrusive. If I never see another ad for Royal Match and the new Royal game it will be too soon. When I get one of those I immediately get out of the app. Hate them!

So relaxing. I really love using this web site. While I enjoy all the colouring pages available my favourite are the Zen pages. Seeing how well the colours blend has helped me with my own drawings and I now try to experiment with colours I would not normally use together. I find using Zen Colour very relaxing.

Feedback. Wonderful! I’m specially enjoying the Artist Challenge images recently: thanks for going to the trouble of including the title and artist details. It adds another layer of enjoyment to do a bit of research on the internet 🙏 I’m also loving the new look Zen images - innovative, interesting and very pretty.

Enjoyable and relaxing. I throughly enjoy this relaxing colouring. The only thing that make it more enjoyable would be to put in a part where someone could pay for no ads. There are just so many, and that does irritate to some degree. I hope this help for improvement.

What has happened?. I can no longer get this app to open. When I try the screen goes black and nothing comes up. I have tried several times lately and now wonder whether it has closed for good. Hoping it comes back. Regards

My happy place. I am a lady of 75ys and l enjoy working in my garden, but as l am becoming more infirm l find myself with time on my hands but unable to much. I came across Zen colour along with others. I have to say that l only use Zen colour as it is varied and beautiful. To date l have done about 600 pictures. Please keep on sending them. Fallen in love again.. I lost my passion for living with any peace in my life but since doing the artwork in Zen Color I am saving my pictures and showing them off like a little girl in kindy. Five stars!. I love this app and would give it more stars if I could. I find it very relaxing and can while away much more time than I realise while I am engrossed in a picture. To those complaining about ads, the ad free version is not expensive and is a one-off and you get unlimited hints to boot! If you don't want to pay a small amount to remove ads, don't complain, that's your choice.

Suggestions. Love the app, very addictive! I really love the coloring of some of the drawings and am always amazed at the level of detail of the picture that is created by the small blocks. A suggestion is to create an option to switch off the highlighted areas so that you actually have to find the numbers yourself. Another suggestion that was also made by another user is to have some advance indication of the complexity of the pictures. I like to choose the most complicated ones and it hard to estimate how long it will take, some you do in 15 minutes, others take over an hour. Would like to do more of the long ones but it is hard to know which ones are the more complex ones.

BEAUTIFUL, RELAXING APP. I really love this app, and am completely addicted to it. I have to colour at least a few images every day. I have tried quite a few colouring apps, and this is the one that I have kept — I’ve deleted all the others! The wide variety of images and genres mean that there is truly something for everyone, and there are new images added frequently — plus you can “earn” bonus images simply by colouring. The background music adds to the calming effect. The ads aren’t too frequent or disturbing, which is another plus. It’s a lovely app, and I highly recommend it! UPDATE: The app reminded me to update my review, and I still love this app just as much as when I first wrote this review! If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would!

Fantastic app. Wonderful colour app. New pictures of very day. Very relaxing. If I had to pick on anything I would say the music is very repetitive but i in just turn it off. Great app can sync onto all my devices so I can colour while I'm out or at home. Well done developers

Most relaxing app I’ve found. Love this app, spent the small amount to get rid of ads forever. I find it really grounding when the AuDHD kicks off and I enjoy the large range of pictures to colour. It would be awesome if they had a section that allows us to choose the colours, and a broader range of chill music. I’d use this app all day if life didn’t get in the way.

I love the tabs you click on for different types of pics like calm, zen, focus… could we have one for the “celebration” pics like Easter, Christmas etc? 2. Would love to be able to keyword search for pics like “ autumn” or “coast” or “peacock”. 3. Would love to be able to share 4 or 8 pics to people but be able to choose the pics rather than just being the most recent 4 or 8 Other than that! I love your app

Most fun and relaxing game.. Absolutely in awe of this game. Totally free, very calming and therapeutic. No ads during the game and music is an added bonus. So many gorgeous designs to do. The daily picture has stopped which is a shame as loved getting that one done first. Great colors and designs to choose from.

Great ap, except for the ads.. This ap works as advertised and is generally very relaxing and the pictures are amazing. The person that allocates the colours to the game is very good. As the places where each colour are mostly found there is often a last one or two that you have to hunt for as they are so tiny, I’ve seen some a small as a full stop. This not a complaint, rather it makes what could become boring really interesting. However, at the beginning, end and after a pause there is a very loud ad for some other ap. that runs for 30 seconds. The volume rises and and it makes you stop the ad at least three times per ad, extremely annoying and tedious. A few weeks later and nothing has changed. And a few months later and again, nothing has changed. Ditto after many months, are the developers listening at all. As I still play the game,I guess they don’t care if I don’t like it. (16 nov 2024) Same again, and I hate that if I accidentally hit the exit arrow I have to watch another Ad to get back in. 17 Dec 2024

A very relaxing past time. Thoroughly enjoy this program. I particularly enjoy the Zen category for its muted colours and Japanese designs. Being colourblind I find the process challenging in trying to identify all the grey coloured squares but overall I find the whole process relaxing and very enjoyable. On average I do one scene per day.

Ever so Relaxing. Thank you ZEN Color for creating this!!! It is ever so relaxing and I find it so great to become absorbed in the variety of pictures to color. It’s such a wonderful stress reliever because I completely zone out and enjoy doing this. All my worries and problems just float away when I immerse myself into whatever picture I’m doing. Once again … THANKS.

Best colouring app. I love this app, it provides endless opportunities to relax and while away the time and calms me down with very little effort on my part. I choose a scene that resonates with me at the time and I can go hours colouring one after the other, I have done about six in a row I think it was and that was before I actually purchased the game, I call it a game but it is more than that, but what else could you call such an activity you enjoy doing 24/7 day after day. It is addictive but legal! Thank you for such a wonderful activity.

Enlarging. When you have completed your pictures I would like to be able to go back and click on any picture, enlarge it and look at it again or show it to someone. As soon as you put the last colour in it shrinks and you don’t get a moment to admire the picture. I would give 5 stars if you could do this. Thank you for your time.

Poor version of another app. I had high hopes for this app, as it’s similar to another app I use all the time. Unfortunately the app doesn’t have even half of the features that the other app has: automatically selecting colour by number, rewards for playing games, world building, puzzles etc. this game just isn’t nearly as good as one of the originals The ads for this game are also quite concerning as they promise everything from improved memory to looking younger. If I didn’t have more self control, I’d be tempted to do a red bull.

Zen Color - Color By Number. Love, love love this app. So relaxing and rewarding once picture is completed. I only wish that the colour palette was up the top instead of down the bottom. My hand and wrist often accidentally taps another colour and it changes from the colour than I am working on and I don’t realise that it’s changed and also I can’t see when I’ve completed that colour and it is removed because hand is in the way. Besides this it is great and best money spent was paying to have adds removed and I can use unlimited help at the end of each pic to complete it. ✰✰✰✰ (I would have given 5 stars if colour palette was up the top)

Calming and satisfying. The Zen section of this App is well drawn, and attractive to work with. The « reconstruction « of the frame after you finish gives a delightful sense of what has been done. There is a certain challenge in the choice of picture, and the « painting » of it, and a real satisfaction when you watch it being « reconstructed » before your eyes.

No Constant Ads. Relaxing.. Enjoy that I'm not constantly interrupted with ads you might get one or two after you colour or before you colour but not during. I recommend you try this for yourself. I was a Pixel Art fan for a long time until Ads started to pop up mid colouring so I gave it the flick and found Zen Color.

Love it!. Certainly lives up to its name! Zen Color is one of my favourite apps to use now! Anytime I want to just switch off and relax, I go straight to this. I love the variety of pictures to colour in, the ease of use and the gentle tranquil music. I also do this if I’m struggling to get to sleep as it relaxes me so much and makes me feel good. Zen Color. Very addictive but entertaining

Great game with bad ads. This is a really nice game and very relaxing until Gossip Harbor ads come on. These horrible ads depict abused women and children, abandoned babies in garbage dumpsters and abusive men. Is it not possible to put on ads that compliment the game so that a person does not go through alternate relaxation and anger??? Actually I am deleting the game

Love the app. Although I love the app, I am disappointed that I have to wait so much time looking for a picture that I would like to colour by number. It robs me of so much time, and I end up stressed out. For example, I love the northern lights. Why can’t there be a search bar where I can type in “Northern lights” and be given an option of several pictures with northern lights? That would save me so much time plus frustration. Very Nice Game. I have been playing this game for a while and I think it has a lot of good attributes!! I like that there is relaxing music that can play through the app, or you can mute the apps music and listen to your own tunes while you colour. I like the wide variety of styles and pictures to colour, as it makes it easy to change things up or stay with what you enjoy. I also think that the achievements system is fun, because it can give you a goal to work towards, encourages you to try things outside of your usual genre, and keeps track of all the pictures you’ve coloured and tiles you’ve filled in. I also like that the achievements give bonus images!! I think that the app has a fair amount of ads when compared to similar games, as there are only ads when opening every few images, when closing a finished image, and when getting a hint. Overall, I really enjoy this game and I think it’s worth a download!

Bad programming makes ads hang up.. The ads hang! This does the exact opposite of relaxing your mind. It’s actually very frustrating because when you are forced to watch an ad it hangs up and won’t return to the picture.

Some have me totally biting my nails as I get closer to finishing a picture. then there are those that I’m not happy with your choices of color, I don’t particularly liking the subject matter , or like today, doing a picture that I imagined would be green grass and leaves and learning that it must be autumn. The mystery pictures have really been fun. I do wish either all the pictures were painted flat, or more three dimensional, but then, too, that is all a surprise. Great App!. I don’t write reviews a lot but I thought this app deserves one. I use this Zen Color pretty much daily. It’s such a nice app; the pictures are so detailed and pretty. It’s basically an adult coloring book that you don’t have to pay for (I’ll get to that) and you don’t have to pay for supplies to color with either. There’s a variety of categories to choose from (vibrant, zen, focus, affection, etc.) and there’s a picture of the day to color daily. But there’s also new pictures added to color every day in the general section. They add new pictures *every day*. And it’s not just one, today there were 8 new pictures plus the picture of the day. And there are already hundreds of pictures to color. I’ve had this app for a little over two months now and decided to buy the premium version (currently $9.99, which is an amazing deal imo). Because they’re always adding pictures I thought it would be worth it (plus the unlimited hints and no ads is a nice bonus). I definitely recommend supporting them and buying the premium version. Either way though, it’s a great app. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Art. I just found Zen Color from Facebook and thought I would give it a try. I am so glad I did, as there are bq pictures of just about everything you want to color. I especially love the Zen color packs as they are all of Japanese scenes from outdoors to indoors. They have all different packs to color as well. I did pay the $6.00 fee for no ads and to me it was worth it. You also get unlimited hints included. Wonderful app and very relaxing too. Update: I just wanted to add that I use my iPad only to color as it is a lot easier than using my phone. You can enlarge the screen to get to the smallest areas to color much easier. I love this app because of their blend pictures, no lines, and the pictures come out much more realistic. Their “special” pictures are absolutely amazing! Love this app!!!

Great Coloring App. I really love this coloring app, it gives you the choice of either filling the colors by number, or long pressing an uncolored area and having the palette jump to that color. The pictures are nice and they’re also calming. It could maybe use a little more variety, but it’s my go-to coloring app now for unwinding at night. I usually pick a picture, and color until my eyes get heavy. It works to keep my mind from racing and most of the pictures turn out being really pretty with nice colors. There is of course an ad between pictures, and when you first start a picture, but that’s what keeps it free and I don’t mind ads in apps when they’re not obnoxious. In short, I do highly recommend this app for relaxing.

Love this!. This is one of my favorite things to do in the evening, after a busy day and some days are overwhelming, I can sit down and unwind with Zen, the music calms me and the pictures are so well done and the colors are gorgeous, before I know it I am calm and relaxed, I especially enjoy the Japanese ones the colors are so beautiful and I love the detail that goes into them, I have a heart problem and I am not suppose to have stress, your app has calmed me so and taken the stress away to the point my cardiologist gave me a good report this time, he said my heart showed progress, he said you must be lowering your stress! Absolutely amazing!!. I first got into this with the mindset of, “Just something to kill time with. But very quickly I became so enthralled with this, that I look forward to doing it every day. I useually do at least two a day! Besides of working off of someone’s else’s creativity, it’s relaxing to me to make these beautiful paintings. I do mostly the houses, mansions, churches, buildings of that sort and the shape, for better words, ones I like the many colors and intricate shapes in those. Al in all, great for children and adults! I think for our elderly community, this is great for keeping the mind active, dexterity and great eye hand coordination. Wonderful, but NEED MORE!. I adore this app. COVID finally got me in January 2023, and afterwards, I needed something to help me stay focused and calm. Your app has helped me immeasurably, and after using it daily for several months, I've already colored in almost all of the pictures in several categories - but the app hasn't added more pictures to those categories, so I can never reach the next "achievement" level. Even though new pictures HAVE been added that SHOULD be included in special categories (like "Butterflies" and "Marine"), they have not been designated as such. My request: If you add more pictures that fit in several categories at once, PLEASE DESIGNATE THEM as belonging to ALL the appropriate categories. Thank you in advance. ♥️

Best meditative and relaxing app ever... I usually love apps where I am solving puzzles and then I began to enjoy this app equally because the end product is very fulfilling and satisfying. I am searching for variety of zen/calming-nature pictures (minus humans or animals) to paint, I am done with painting most or all of what is available (the ones that I didn’t choose are so very similar to several that I already completed and I didn’t want to use my finger movement (fear of tendinitis) and time). I wish there is daily at-least one variety for these categories. Also I WORRY IF I WILL DEVELOP TENDINITIS USING THE APP. This is a health risk definitely for repetitive movements of scrolling and choosing color. Please consider placing the colors strategically so such health issues don’t arise in time for your app enthusiasts. Thanks to the artists.

Go to game. I really enjoy this app. It is relaxing and distracting if you could use a distraction or need to to relieve anxiety, too, because you need to focus on what you are doing. It has a wide variety of images to paint. My favorite is the Focus tab as it has very detailed and colorful images. I don’t really enjoy the other tabs nearly as much. It would be even better if they had even more actual images of animals, landscapes, etc. on the Focus tab. The Focus tab has a lot of geometric images which are not of any interest to me to complete. They upload a few new images every morning but most aren’t of interest, but a good one crops up a couple of times a week. Overall, a great app and worth trying.

Better than…. Zen Color App is better than most of the other color apps. I have tried and deleted all of them, with the exception of HappyColor and this one. What sets this one apart are the slightly different categories, variety of unique pictures - they are not repetitive copies like everyone else, there are plenty of highly detailed and intricate designs as well as “I only have a few minutes, so let me pick an easy one”. Currently, the only feature that I wish it had is a keyword search. It would be terrific if we could, for example, type in a search for ‘dogs’ and all of the pictures with a dog in it come up, or mountains, trees, etc. So we wouldn’t have to scroll through all the categories. This is the reason for my 4 star rating.

Mostly enjoyable. On the whole I really enjoy the Zen coloring app with one exception. I really really dislike doing the Art Challenge pictures. I have been keeping up with doing all of the new pictures that are posted each day but my heart sinks every time I see that one of those are posted because I detest them so much. I do also have one other suggestion that I think would improve this app though. I wish there was a button to click on which would move the screen to the bottom of each category. This would make it so much easier to work on pictures that were posted earlier before I started doing the 8 or 9 that are posted each day. It takes so long to scroll down through all the completed ones to get to the ones that aren’t complete.

Pretty sure they use AI now… 😐. Been using Zen Color for more than a year. Definitely a really great color by number app, but I noticed a striking dip in quality for newer paintings… Certain aspects of some artworks seem questionable and more than just simple oversights (especially once colored in) like trees bleeding into clouds or other similar, irritating overlapping of concepts. I think it’s really noticeable in a lot of the animal artworks, where animals just look really uncanny, they all start to look the same, and they seem just kinda pasted on top of everything else instead of actually grounded in the image. I hope I’m just being paranoid about AI, because I really want to keep enjoying this app and I’d love to be wrong here. However, knowing that the average company functions by solely focusing on profit > morals, I really wouldn’t be surprised they started using AI. Just disappointed, and wish the developers were better than that.

Ads at the bottom of the screen on an app that’s supposed to be relaxing?. Before today I would’ve rated this at five. Today it only gets a three. I actually really like this app, and purchased the full version so as not to have ads. Two days ago, before I made that purchase, I was playing the game without ads running at the bottom of the screen. Today when I downloaded the app onto a different iOS device, there are now ads running at the bottom of the screen… That is not relaxing… That is not Zen, that was a terrible change to this game. I would watch the ads between games, but I can’t play the game with ads running at the bottom. That makes me feel the opposite of relaxed. I will not pay another $10 to use it on a different device. It would be nice if I could use the purchased version on a different device, that uses the same Apple ID.

Beautiful artwork and huge variety. I’m impressed with the variety and quality of artwork. I really enjoy coloring in these pieces and love how I have options in complexity. Everything from a simple and relaxing 50 colors to complex and delightfully detailed 150+ colors. I like how more artwork is added daily, each color shows how much is still left, and how there is bonus pieces that occasionally include multi colored special effects. The only thing that would make this app better would be if once done with one color, the next color would automatically appear. Otherwise this is the best free coloring app I’ve ever used. I honestly enjoy using this app enough to make a review for it.

Fantastic color by number!. I love it to death, but I also hate it because I’m so addicted, lol!! Really, I can’t stop making pictures! All chores, books, and movies have fallen by the wayside! The quality of pictures is excellent, though I’d like a lot of art pictures (art deco, art nouveau, abstract art) and less old-fashioned and Hallmark cards wannabes. Still, there are hundreds, maybe even thousands, to choose from. There are no glitches. It’s cool that you can see your finished pictures in a nice layout, and also see those you’re working on, so you can grab one while waiting in line, etc. You can save them to your own photo library, too. I got my friend addicted, too! Love it, love it, love it! I never check out apps while I was playing Mahjong, but SO glad I did. An amazing app!!

Absolutely the Best. I have been using this app for months now and I’m impressed with how clear and concise each drawing can be. At this point, I’ve found this to be the best coloring app around. I enjoy relaxing moments even when drawings are challenging or difficult. Now, if they begin to swamp it with advertisements, then I’d have to rewrite my review but at this point - I highly recommend this app. ADDING TO MY REVIEW MONTHS LATER ….. No app has kept my attention for so long. Everyday I spend time relaxing. Don’t get me wrong, some pictures can be monsters to finish, but when they are done I get such satisfaction. Others compensate by being easier …. I get to choose the challenging level. Try it. You’ll like it! 😄

My favorite relaxation entertainment. I do several pieces every day. I’m retired so I have lots of spare time and I enjoy it so much. I have a suggestion and a heads up. May I suggest you add a separate section for Nights. They’re my favorite. Love the glow of moonlight, lanterns and/or candlelight against a nighttime sky. I think these deserve their own section, IMHO. Also, I’ve noticed and been mildly annoyed by the apparent glitch in last week’s update. It unexpectedly shoots me to the far right of the screen into the “used” colors. Have to scroll back every time to where I was and it’s pretty tedious. This is the first glitch I’ve run across in your wonderful product and you’re probably already aware of it and working on it. Thanks much for making this fun, relaxing, beautiful app.

Excellent coloring app. Zen Color is a first rate coloring apps for adults. It has a very good range of coloring apps and has included most of the desirable features in its design. I especially appreciate the feature that allows you to touch the space and the app scrolls to the color. The feature is very helpful for doing pics with many small spaces. It is not available in all coloring apps. My one request to Zen Color would be the addition of “art pictures” specifically of the same complexity as those available in the Happy Color app. Nevertheless, Zen Color is an excellent app that performs reliably, has many good features, and keeps adding and improving the picture selection. I’m a fan.

Best Coloring App, Yet. I've tried DOZENS of coloring apps and always ended up deleting them, because the mechanics aren't what I prefer, they have too many ads, photos are limited unless you pay a weekly/monthly/yearly subscription. They all also tended to overheat my phone so easily, probably due to the bombardment of ads. But, this app is easy and satisfying to use, as well as relaxing and wonderfully hypnotizing. The pictures are aesthetically pleasing to watch them come to life. You can color in order or out of order, any way you want. Finally Colouring App I Enjoy. I’ve downloaded a lot of colouring apps and the variety of POC people pictures to colour was not there, very disappointing. This app offers all shades of people to colour, no ad interruptions , and such a variety of pictures to colour, I’m loving it. Also I enjoy being able to select areas to colour by touching the picture and not the number. Music is very soothing, though I believe it should last as long as your colouring and not stop during middle of it. My only suggestion during next update, have a selective shades of colours under the pic that allows the person to chose and colour to create an original of their own artistic style. Still overall great app, enjoy spending my Zen moments colouring these pics. Thank you for an awesome app😍

Very Relaxing. This app has helped me to self-regulate when I’m feeling stressed. The beautifully detailed sketches come to life with depth and rich colors- very aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I also appreciate the challenge of discovering those hard-to-find places to color. It gives the same satisfaction as when putting a puzzle together and making all the pieces fit. I can color at my own pace, in any pattern that I desire- by number, by section, etc. I love the video feature where I can watch a replay of my coloring steps. The finished painting and the video can be saved in my phone’s photo album to be revisited anytime. Watching the replay video, in itself is satisfying and relaxing. This is my new fave, for sure! Many thanks to the creators for such a wonderful app!

Could get 5 stars easy. You get 5 stars with 2 changes. I love the sounds from the library screen when you choose a theme but then you click on the sketch and you get one sound and it’s like elevator music. Which really isn’t relaxing. We should be able to choose our own sounds for painting. And # 2 with the hints it should ask us to confirm that we want to use it. I don’t know how many times I have lost a hint while painting because my finger hits it by accident. And those are the 2 things but other than that it’s a great app. Oh and maybe let us choose our own highlight colors. The others are great but sometimes those colors blend it well with the painting and makes it a bit difficult to tell if you colored there or not. But that is what makes it fun it’s like playing where’s Waldo with paint. :)

Consistent Quality. Doesn’t make you pay $$$ for premium content access & always adding images to their catalogue. I think you pay, like, once for full access to their catalogue, and the amount is more than reasonable. A lot of image variety, whether or not you want to color mandalas, nature, people, or architectural scenes, among many others. It might not have the flashiest images (special color effects, and such), but it more than makes up for it with access to huge catalogue and daily image updates. As an artist, I like that it mostly uses flat color and I would recommend it to students interested in learning how far you can push flat color to improve your color theory irl. It is appropriate for all ages, too.

3 Things Could Make Perfect. 1-I like to color from oldest to newest pic but there is no vertical scroll bar to drag down so you have to flip for several minutes to get to the bottom. Add a vertical scroll bar. 2- I am very OCD about which cells I’m coloring but sometimes, when the cells are really tiny I will accidentally color a cell I didn’t mean to but once colored that’s it. If you add a back or undo button it would be nice. 3-I don’t always like the colors a certain cell or cells are colored in but there is no alternative but to color whatever color is already set. I understand that you can’t allow every color option but maybe provide the same pallet of colors but have some “free” pictures that you can color with colors of your own choice.

Awesome game- but set back by ads. I’ve been using this coloring app and have been loving it! Whoever designed it did a fantastic job! The way the colors are displayed, the level of difficulty, the categories of pictures- it’s all superb! I’m not one to mind a free game with a few ads, and that is what Zen Color is, it’s wonderfully free with a few ads. But here is the trouble!… The last two times I opened it to an ad, the kind of ad that was shown to me was not socially or emotionally safe! As an adult I can look past it, but I now can’t place this game in my kids hands. The rating for the game is 4+ but the content of the ads I was shown was awful. So can Zen Color go with a different advertising company? Or do I have to delete this app that I’ve absolutely loved using?

Ads are not appropriate for age 12!. In the App Store, your game is advertised as appropriate for 12 years and older. Even though this game is called an adult coloring book, To your credit, I have not come across a single inappropriate image to color. However, there are some ads that run in your game that are ONLY appropriate for adults, NOT for 12 year olds, who are still considered children, and therefore minors. These ads that play in between coloring sketches show very suggestive and erotic images to advertise another game. If you want your game to be appropriate for 12 year olds, then monitor and choose your ads wisely. Unfortunately, I won’t be letting my 11 year old granddaughter play this game, as the suggestive ads are inappropriate for her. That goes for my 12 year old niece. I’ll have to let this game go if I continue to see these distasteful ads. Thanks for listening.

Perfect in every way! Brilliant!. I absolutely Love everything about this app! The way the color spreads from where you touch. The incredible detail and color of the Special pictures. The challenge of finding the tiny spots without using the hints. The artwork and the artists talent! The wonderful variety of pictures to choose from. The colors are sooo vibrant! The way the colors blend together! Love, Love, Love this app! I would love it if they would create a slide show of the pictures you have already finished. Like if you tap the first one and it goes through them all and they are bigger. Also would love to be able to use the finished pictures as background on my IPad! I cant’t say enough wonderful things about this app! Kudos to you!

LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!. I’ve completed over 2,000 of the beautiful paintings in the 6 months or so since I discovered and downloaded this app … it’s that addictive. You can choose to have soothing Zen music as you work, which I find very calming, or you can 1-click turn it off. Thanks to the remarkable developers, there are NO annoying ads forced on you … just so many gorgeous images to paint using the touch of your finger. New scenes are added every day, in every category imaginable. If your vision is fading or not the best, as is mine, you can stretch or enlarge sections of a painting to make the numbers easier to see. I’m not usually one to sit around, but I find it hard to stop painting once I start … which is usually over coffee first thing in the morning. It gets my brain moving. I love this app … I’m sure you will, too.

Older Version was better. The newel update took away some of the features I really liked about this app. You used to be able to unselect the color you were on so you could toggle the color on and off to make it easier to find those small sections of a color that are hard to find. Now you have to switch back and forth between colors like all the other apps or use the hints you can earn by watching ads. 🙄 Also, I’m getting ads mid-picture now. I was fine with the ad when starting a picture and when I finished one but getting them mid picture is really annoying. I’ve been using this app for a long time now but I’ve found myself using it less and less lately. Like so many other apps they became overrun with ads to the point it’s hard to even use the app.

Obsessed with coloring. After finding this app, I have been obsessed with coloring! I find it to be so relaxing. This app has a feature that some other coloring apps don’t have…you can tap and hold on a spot and the color palette moves to the correct color for that spot. This eliminates the need to scroll back and forth until you reach the right number. I love this feature! Also really love the zen pictures! One thing I would like to see is a bigger variety of pictures with more natural colors. For example, I love the exterior and interiors of houses, but the colors are usually too bright and not the realistic colors you would normally see (ie. blue roofs, green walls with orange, pink, purple and red furniture…yuck!). Otherwise, amazing app! 👍

Very satisfying. There are some locked pictures, but there’s about an equal amount of unlocked pictures too. All of them look nice, and I like that you have the option to save finished pictures you’ve colored so you can use them as profile pictures online. Some of the little patches to color are tiny, but you can zoom in really closely, so it isn’t too much of an issue, but it can still get annoying to find all of them at times. Overall I recommend this app if you’re looking for something to zone out to, pass the time with, or do while you listen to a show or podcast in the background. It could also be good if want an option that’s easier to take with you on the go than a physical coloring book and crayons/colored pencils.

So relaxing!. I’ve had this app for two weeks now and I have worked on it every single day. I can spend upwards to 8 to 10 hours on it. I have anxiety and it has really helped to calm me. I went ahead and purchased the app for the $10. It has been worth every penny. I would love to know more about each of the artists because I like to follow them and try to find out more about their drawing. I have one that I’ve tried to do all of her pictures, and the only reason why I know who it is is because she signed her name. I did follow her on Instagram. These are great and yes I would like to have a landscape option. I can’t wait to get more pictures to choose from. There’s already a ton.

Recommend premium no ads forever!. I got so irritated with constantly being interrupted by games to help make payments for my coloring pictures, finally my husband helped me get rid of all the excess games which we think were slowing down my computer by requiring so much memory. Then we picked a single coloring game and purchased no ads forever for $9.99 and also got 3 solitaire games, 3 word games, and 3 other games, and now I color to my hearts content! This is the only way to do what you want and really enjoy yourself! Sandy There are certain sections of this game I really love, other sections that are not interesting. I guess you can see which sections I use and which ones I don’t. I wonder what that says about my personality. Once again, I thank you for the giving me so much pleasure.

Fun, but a bit hard on the eyes. I’ve especially enjoyed the coloring in the Zen category. In fact I enjoy it so much that I’ve developed eye strain. Some of the areas needing color are so tiny that I have to enlarge the image completely to find them, and sometimes even then I have to use the hint feature. But to do that you have to wait out the ad. Those annoying, repetitive, overlong ads take away some of the enjoyment and relaxation. With fewer of them, I’d give the app a 5 star, instead of a 4. Oh, I nearly forgot to mention that sometimes it shuts down completely after finishing the task. Then I have to turn off my iPad and restart it to get the app to come up again. This is the only app I have that does this. Very irritating when it happens.

Relaxing. This game has beautiful pictures and a great variety of themes! There is soft music that can be turned off or on as desired. I feel that it’s almost like meditating when I focus on filling in the colors. I enjoy earning badges, too. It makes me challenge myself to complete pictures I’m not drawn to as frequently. There is soft music playing if it’s something you liked to hear. It’s definitely soothing, but I usually have other music or a show on when I’m playing. Update: I’ve noticed that when I’m playing I’m usually smiling. I truly relax when I color my pictures. My favorites are the Special pictures, the Mandalas, the Zen, and the Vibrant pictures. Not a bad word to say about this app.

My nightly remedy!. Had some bugs at first when I began playing…stuck on an ad and would not let me get into any of the pictures. However they seem to have fixed it! I have trouble getting to sleep and these have helped me so much in the months that I have been enjoying the variety of lovely paint by numbers! So much so, that I have trained myself…if I begin to play my body starts to relax and now I drift easier to sleep! These are at times challenging, but there are variety enough of easy to difficult that one can easily choose the comfort level of the moment. Even for older eyes, especially on an iPad…thanks to the ability of enlarging the areas to see the numbers more clearly. They are nicely thought out and the themes and colors are lovely. Would recommend!

Huge variety of images to choose from. I use this app every day, and complete at least two images, often more. There are new images posted daily, which keeps it interesting. It’s organized by subject, which makes searching for images to color quite easy. I would like to see more “non-representational” images - abstracts - if you will. I also find a lot of the animal images to be too “cute” and kitschy. I feel that the most artistic and well rendered images are the Asian subjects. There’s a type that are described as “special” which are meant to be very painterly and realistic, but I find them odd looking when finished. I highly recommend this app, I look forward to using it, every day!

Great for creativity. It is super fun and It takes away all my stress. It would be great for travel. I recommend it if you are feeling angry, stressed, sad, anxious, or bored. It think you should get it. Although it can be tough you can click a button to show you where it is. You can also listen to the music playing to give you a calming vibe that makes you fell good about yourself. A downside is that it can make feel aggravated because you can find a place where the color goes. There are many options for you and there are always new pictures to color. You won’t ever finish all of them because of that. I suggest that you try to download this game on your device. Have fun playing!

Relaxing and enjoyable!. My go to whenever I’m stuck on a line or have a little time to kill. The music is soothing, and on occasion I even use the water track to help me fall asleep. What confuses me greatly is the developers’ apparent aversion to blonde hair, white animals, and their excessive use of the color orange. I have colored well over 1,000 pictures and have run into maybe three with blonde haired females (two were children), however almost half of the females presented have red hair (which is not a ratio that occurs in nature). I’m beginning to think you have a problem with blonde hair. There have been virtually no white animals (cats, dogs, birds, ducks, horses) even when a white animal would better enhance a picture or create a better color balance. The obsession with orange?… I don’t know.

Relaxing Zen Color. I’m enjoying this app very much. I didn’t intend to purchase because I normally don’t purchase apps over a certain price. The extra few dollars was worth it for me, I’ve colored more than 50 pictures so far. Totally relaxing and fun. The pictures are beautiful, and can be downloaded or shared with others. Purchasing takes away the ads, and gives you unlimited hints when you get stuck looking for those tiny, tiny, tiny numbers. The music is fine, a bit repetitive, but it can be disabled. The only complaint is the app doesn’t sync with other devices. If you download on your phone, your pictures won’t be synced to the iPad. I do recommend this app if you want something for concentration and relaxation.

good but..... i like zen color but am about to delete it. ever since you started using the royal match ads the game has plummeted in my opinion. so this review reflects how maddening that ad is. it's loud, boisterous, stupid, interrupts the game, obnoxious and you run it ALL the time during a coloring game. i do NOT recommend this game with the royal match ad still in it as it will make you angry over all the time this at least two minute ad takes. in fact, tell people not to use any coloring games by this company. i have 3 downloaded. so here's the deal, remove the ad within 72 hours and replace it with a less intrusive one or i will delete these games. they were pretty good until the royal match came and invaded the fun. if you get rid if that i will revise this review and reload the game and tell friends. if not, then your company is history with me. i play to have fun, not to be tormented by ads. i realize you have to have ads but find less intrusive ones or i'm done.

Ads. The game ads are really annoying. I have no desire to download any games. I chose this app because it was supposed to be relaxing and it's just annoying every time you want to go on the app you have to watch an ad about a game especially when they claim you're suppose to win all this money and you're not going to win money unless you pay money. The ads make it look like just download the game and play and You'll win all this money every week and that's obviously not gonna happen and the reviews on those games are same as I just mentioned. They're a waste of time. I love this app and I love the paint by number because it helps. Keep my mind busy due to my mental health issues, but these ads have got to stop.

A Zen color by numbers, so relaxing..😌😌😌😌. This App. Zen Color is so soothing and I like coloring it reminds me of the old days when I was younger and they had books that you painted by numbers and 🎨 and a paint brush to put the right colors in. This App. goes beyond most by giving you soothing music to listen to while you find the number that corresponds with the color. The only thing I don’t quite like is the adds that come up when you pick one to color and when you’re done it’s a little annoying to say the least! Except that I like after your done it’s saves your art by numbers in your art gallery so you can go back and enjoy your art work. Two thumbs up 👍🏼 👍🏼from this art lover!!! Can we possibly remove the Adds from this AWESOME Zen Color App. please!!!😊

BEST PAINT BY # GAME!. I have been playing this game for about a year now and I can honestly say hands down this is the best paint by# game on the market. I’m sure I’m going to sound like all the other Ads out there, but it’s all true…. You don’t need WiFi, It only has 1 add after each game you finish or if you want to get out of the picture you’re are currently in and want to go to another, then you will have an add… that’s it! The only thing they ever charge for is the no add feature but that’s honestly not worth it given the low amount of adds they have. I love their “Vibrant, Focus and Pattern” pictures, quite lovely. This is the only “game” I play at night to help wind me down. Give it a try and let me know in the comments section what you think. Happy painting, my friends!

Love this very addicting. Started out with the free version after several pictures I was addicted , but didn’t love the adds so I paid for the add free version no regrets . I have the app installed on my iPhone and iPad. However it appears that when I paid the the fee for the add free version the adds disappeared from the app on my phone but not on my ipad. Most of the pictures I’ve done have been on my phone but when I use my iPad none of the pictures that I completed on my phone show up in my completed tab on the app and visa versa the ones I did on the iPad don’t show up on my phone. Do I have to pay for the add free version on both of my devices separately . Or is there a way to get the app to sync so what I have completed shows up on both devices. Thanks would love to hear a response th this question.

Love my Zen Coloring Ap. I really love my coloring app and I’ve come across a couple of issues but today I don’t know why but I start to do my daily coloring picture. The picture keeps turning black so I have to close it and go back in but it keeps doing that so I don’t know what to do to fix it. If it doesn’t fix soon, I’m gonna have to delete this off my phone which I’ll be pretty disappointed and sad because I post my pictures on my Facebook daily and I really enjoy coloring the pictures. This is very relaxing for me and I find the pictures really cute or pretty. So will somebody please fix this? April 2024 - my problem stopped and I am able to color again with no issues. This is still a very nice coloring ap.

Game Randomly Going Solid Black?. I’ve had this app for as long as I can remember but most likely the last 3-4 years and I’ve always used it and it’s always been relaxing. However the last week or two. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I try and use the app I’ll get into the process of coloring and the the app will just turn completely black for no reason and won’t go back to my coloring page until I close and reopen the game just for it to do the exact same thing two seconds into coloring again. It is honestly making me consider deleting the app and never using it again. Which is extremely sad as I really really love it, but when you keep getting a solid black screen for no reason each time you start coloring it’s really irritating and gets annoying fast. I really hope you could do something to fix this as I really really do not want to delete this app.

Calming App!. I have been using this app for over a month now, and I have to say that it is really soothing! I always have anxiety and trouble sleeping at night because of my mind is always running with thoughts. But when I open this app and start to color the pictures, and with the music on, it makes me forget about everything and I just fall right to sleep. The music is beautiful! There are SOOOO MANY options to choose to color! And when you are done, the pictures always come out so beautiful, and it even shows you a video of how you colored it with every step. Seeing that with all the colors and the picture coming together it looks beautiful. You have got to try this app and keep the music on and you will feel nothing but calm vibes!

I love this app!. This is a great way to wind down a stressful day. I like the spectrum of difficult levels so you can choose how easy or hard by selecting different pics. There’s a lot to choose from. Consider adding different genres like sports, music, jungle animals, different popular scenes from various countries (Grand Canyon, The Wave N.P, Eiffel Tower, Roman Colosseum, Greek Acropolis, Santorini Greece, etc). It would be nice to see different types of people doing different things. There’s a lot of American farm houses with white people and Asian Zen scenes, but there are many other faces on this planet that should be represented in your pages. Reflect everyone! Be inclusive. You’ve made a great start with this app, now it’s time to step up the expectation of your artists.
