Fun But Glitched. I really like this game, it fun and I love all the music. I love playing against other people in the Arena. I like to play each music category and level them up to the same level before moving on, this gives me great variety. I buy new music playlists and characters along the way with the keys I earn. Here’s the problem: I didn’t have an issue until I got all of my music categories to level 3. Now, as I go along, it will spontaneously glitch back to a random “saved” time in the game. My character changes back to whatever I was at that point and I lose all the level progress, song playlists and characters I’ve achieved. I have bought the same darn playlist THREE times because it keeps glitching back to before I bought it. I have even tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it. No dice, still does it. It’s frustrating enough for me to stop playing it since I can’t make any headway.

Original much better. original SongPop was/is amazing and only problem was unreliable connection with users phones…remote app to control Apple TV host was disconnecting every time “bottom swipe” changed app and the whole game had to be restarted. New Arcade SongPop lack of in-game purchases to speed up opening categories (good or bad you can decide) bit biggest problem is much smaller database of songs on each level… so every game has 8/10 repeated tracks from the previous one. Original game was handling it much better. Has to be fixed as after 5 games nobody wants to play bored of the same answers.

So fun. Love this game so giving five stars. The only thing I wish was slightly different was the experience of playing in the same room with friends on appletv. We want to use our phones to select songs, but want to hear from the tv speakers. The workaround is to have an extra “player” (who scores zero points on every round) in the game so we can listen through the good speakers. Otherwise, love it. Especially the addition of artist categories. A slight encouragement to have more deep cuts in those. Thanks!

How About A Little Common Sense?. When two or more players choose the exact same music option, then go with that choice. In ‘Arena Mode’ I’ve seen three players choose #1 Hits of the 70’s, but, instead, one other unrelated choice is selected by your CPU. Silly, right? Okay, just so I’ve covered the ‘What If?’ scenarios: If it’s two of the same choice vs. two other music titles of same choice, have your CPU RNG flip a coin. Also, how about incorporating a 2 sec. ‘Leave Game’ button when a player has no familiarity with the CPU choice made in Arena Mode. Based on the data associated with the player leaving the game, over time, the CPU would better know what other music selections would be acceptable to the remaining players and increase the likelihood that they would stay to play. Example: I select #1 Hits of the 70’s (I’m located in the USA), but the CPU chooses Essential Hits from Germany. Do you actually believe I’m going to stay in that game? NICHT!! One last comment. Based on the name selection of the other players I compete against, I feel like I’m at a Bot convention. Either disclose the Bot presence or have a more creative algorithm come up with human-like relatable names. Better yet, explain your methodology and be honest. Is that too much to ask? [That’s a rhetorical question.] Wise up dudes!

Great Game But…. I’ve run into a couple occasions where a song is a duet by two artists or is a feature and both artists are listed as possible answers. Your engine should be programmed to avoid this as you can pick a “correct” answer yet still get it wrong. Also maybe ad a trash talk feature where you can hit a button and it will say “gotcha” or something like that… other than that I enjoy the game

Data collection. I only got to play it once, because after you play solo once, the game requires you to play arena, and will not allow you to play solo again until you play arena. Arena requires that you accept data collection, if you do not accept data collection, then you cannot play the game any longer, it is locked to only allow you to play arena, and the only way you can play arena is to accept data collection. I do not want to play arena and I do not want to accept data collection, so I am not able to play the game. It’s kind of a dirty trick to force you to allow them to collect your data- I do not like that sort of underhanded behavior.

Cool Concept, Needs lots of work. While the premise is fun the game needs a lot of work all around. Major glaring issues are matchmaking is glitchy, 1/5 times I have to force quit because it hangs at matchmaking. I keep getting international playlist matches which is ridiculous when half the songs are in a foreign language and the answers are too. Localize this please, language is asked at the start, defeats the purpose. Another big issues is the UI is very sluggish and unintuitive. Having to navigate genre then hit back the. Select playlist then hit back again is so rudimentary. Lots of wasted screen space. Fun game otherwise but yeah lots of issues to keep us coming back for more.

Crashes and losses all history. I do actually really like this game but it is beyond frustrating to be playing and have it crash. I’ve lost over a month of gameplay history. At first I thought it was an issue with playing it on Apple TV as it would happen frequently there. I never really had an issue with my iPhone so I switched to solely playing it via iPhone instead of Apple TV. I did have two saved spots and during a crash while trying to complete the Indepence day challenge, it erased the save of the game I’d been working on for the past month. I don’t think I’ll play it anymore after this.

Great, some disadvantages. This game is loads of fun. Eager to test you knowledge of pop songs or 80’s hits. This game tests you memory of songs and when it comes to plain guessing about songs, it’s fine. 🤣 I’ve done it. Just pic the best answer. The only thing is that this game is the same thing over and over. I get bored and move along. Maybe make it a little more interesting. Other than that, amazing. This is a great game, I’m just not always satisfied with it. 😕

Nope You Don't Tell Me HOW to Play. Used to play all the time on my iPad and I agree with other some "number one" songs weren't number one in the US. Now it will only let me play the lists I earned if I play Arena. I DON"T WANT TO PLAY ARENA. Let me play the game the way I want to. If I turn off data sharing, it only lets me play one or two playlists. REALLY! Second complaint - it stinks on the computer version. Like others it pretty much crashes after one play and AGAIN insists that I play Arena. I cannot change that option. Your developers have ALOT of work to do. This could be great. Now it's just a waste of space.

Bad bugs with Apple TV. I got this specifically to use with my Apple TV. Unfortunately, every time I open the app, it thinks I’m opening it for the first time and asks if I want to skip tutorial, and defaults everything to original settings. This is extremely annoying, I don’t even force close the app, just clicking back to the home page and reopening the app, your character and everything gets wiped. No way to save your current character and settings. Makes me not even want to play, additionally it’s waayyy to sensitive to the Apple TV remote touch pad, it goes all over the place and is very hard to control accurately. Very disappointed that such simple fixes are not being addressed.

Can’t keep account or save progress. Game is awesome and I love to play it but my account has reset 4 times. Spend a ton of time playing and unlocking content, just to randomly have it erased every month when I pay my Apple Arcade subscription. All of my achievements are still there, and it shows my points, but every category I work hard to unlock is inaccessible and I have to start over. All for it to happen again the next month. This is the last chance I will give the game. If it happens again, I am finished with this game. Don’t waste your time downloading the game if you want to play the game often.

Song pop party is awesome. Song pop party is awesome and me and my family love playing together all the time the only thing is that a lot of things in the game that you can only unlock by logging in every day and some people (like myself) can’t log in every day because we are busy with a ton of plans. But other than that song pop party is an awesome game to play with your friends and family and I think that everybody should download

Bots are a bit overpowered.. I am only rating this a 2 star because of the fact that I have been on a road trip for awhile and I saw this game and wanted something new to play. I didn’t want to use all of my cellular data, and sometimes the service sucked so I just played solo. And so far, I have only one twice against the bots. I have been playing this game a lot and only won twice. There are some songs that I don’t know, but even if I do know them the bots all somehow select the correct option faster than me, and they ALL press the right option. Overall fun game, just not my favorite because of the bots, could use some improvement, but overall mediocre game 👌

point system needs to change. I believe that the current point system of this game is not doing an adequate job of reflecting the importance of speed and order as it relates to ones score and points reach round. I beleivce that instead of only accounting for the speed to calculate the score (the longer you take to chose the correct answer, the fewer points you get). Instead, I think that you should also be rewarded based on order of answer input. The first player to answer correctly should get more points. The seconds player to answer should get less points than the first but more than the thrid. So on and so forth. This way each round one player is making a leap over the others instead of two players answering at relatively early times and not being able to more forward past anyone in any given round. My idea makes it more...competative. The current point distrubution meathod is rather frustrating and annoying when trying to beat my components so maybe consider....changing it to my idea. thanks . thats why it got 4 stars and not 5. other wise it is a pretty fun game and a well designed application and interface.

Robbing of Keys. I love this game. It’s really fun and good to play with family. However, once the festivals challenge was added, the game has been different for me. Once I exited the game after playing with a friend, I went back in as I had a notification (the game wanted me to play the festival thing in arena mode). So I played it in arena mode, went back to home and saw it took away my keys. It also showed that I needed to claim two achievements and claim the first July Daily Login Challenge, when I had already done both. So where’s the key robbing? Well, I had 184 or 186 keys before I exited the app after playing with friends. But when I went back in, and claimed all I needed to, I was left with 174. Not a big deal but after I leave the app now it takes away my festival progress and leaves a notification on the app. I checked and there is no update I can do. Please fix this. Other than this recent issue, I would give it five stars :)

Latest update fixed crashing issue. I revised my review since the game is now playable again after the update. The game is fun & easy to play. It would be nice if the songs on the playlist were updated slightly more often. Currently, if you play enough you can run into repetitive songs on some playlists. Other than that & the previous crashing issues that have been resolved it’s great. And players who only play occasionally may not experience the issues I mentioned at all. In my opinion it is the best trivia game on Apple Arcade.

A Little More…. I’m curious as to if you’d be interested in doing something for the minority. Could you please add a Christian playlist, or at least album. We Christians have, Country, Rock, Alternative, Pop, Worship. It shouldn’t be to hard to make. Just look at a few bands: MercyMe, TobyMac, CastingCrowns, for King and Country, Skillet, Bethel Worship, y’know? There’s tons! Just think about it please? I mean if you can make a workout playlist, surely you can think about making a Christian one. Please and thank you!

Fast-Paced Fun!!!. This game is so much fun!!! I love most of the playlists I have unlocked and have been able to climb to the top of many global leader boards. If I have one complaint, it is that there isn’t a lot of Hip Hop content. I have noticed that the same handful of songs are circulated in this category. In the other categories, as I advance the content seems to become more varied and challenging. This just doesn’t seem to happen in Hip Hop. I’d absolutely love to hear and play more there!

Love this Game. I love this game… There is only two things that will make it even much better one of them is fixing the problem where the game gets stuck when waiting for other players than you have to close the game out and restart it up, The Next thing is we should be able to Message Each other on the game that will be Nice to get to know People your playing with especially if you have the same taste in music.

Amazing!. I love this game! It’s so much fun, and I’ve been playing it a lot! I like how it’s simple, but fun! You can get avatars, albums, and unlock artists! Plus, it’s easy to get keys, but not to easy. I do think it could be a little more exciting if there were some more updates. But, other then that, I like it a lot! I like how there’s a solo section and a party section to! I love playing with my friends and family! I also love how there’s a calendar where it gives you one key everyday! But, one thing, in some reviews I have seen that people want a chat. Where we can talk to each other during or out of games. I think its a good idea, but in my opinion, I definitely don’t want a chat center. If we get a chat center, 99.9% will probably become a toxic game.. people will probably start saying super rude things to each other, and I don’t wanna change this fun game to a toxic one. Not saying everyone’s gonna be rude though. But there’s not a chat in this game now, so I don’t need to worry about it now. That chat center opinion was just my thoughts to the game makers and developers of the game.

Awesome. This is the best game EVER NO bugs or Glitches this is the best game I have I have been playing this for awhile and it is the BE3T! You have to download this. You can have any artist and playlist my FAVORITE is IMAGINE DRAGONS! This game has all of the music Elvis,Tobymac, I don’t know anything else than that. You also get to choose your own skin too! Is’t that cool? You can also play with friends and you can play online too! You have to guess songs to win! The highest score wins! (Obviously) Well thank’s for making this game and seeing my review!

Love it but forgetting somebody.. Who’s the king of Pop? Who’s the master Mind behind some of the greatest hits? Micheal Jackson, that’s who! I can’t find him in artists and my search doesn’t work. Can you please add Micheal Jackson? My mom and I love this game and would really love Micheal Jackson! Besides that, the game is awesome! You can play with your friends/family, you can just find a random group of people, or play alone with cpus! This is a great 8 person party game to add to the amazing fun in your party! It’s including great for music lovers! You have all the decades imaginable and artists! Even kids like me can have a blast! But please, add Micheal Jackson. Fun Game. I really enjoy this game. I like that I can chose different genres and Artists. I also like that they add new Artists every month. I like that as you earn more keys you can unlock new characters and some other stuff too. I hope you guys will add the following Artists soon, System of a Down, Depeche Mode, Incubus, Alan Walker, and maybe a new genre of video game music. I hope you guys will take my ideas into consideration. Thanks!👍

MISSING FEATURES. I love this game, but I feel it requires improvement to reach its fullest potential. I think the main things the game needs is a chat feature, where we can talk to other players in a game, whether it is to agree on great songs, or complement each other’s speed. Another feature I would like is a report feature, to report cheaters and people on VPNs. Like why is my ping worse than they next guys? Otherwise I love the game. At the same time, I already pay for Apple Arcade. So why is it necessary that I need keys to unlock characters, playlists, and artists. I don’t feel it’s necessary to pay keys to unlock. Why can’t I just have it all? You already have my money. Thanks and I hope you keep my suggestions in mind.

love it. I love the game, I love the playlists, I have found a lot of my favorite songs through the app in addition to rediscovering old favorites I forgot even existed. However, one time I closed the app just to respond to a text message real fast, and when I opened the app again, I had lost all my progress. Playlists, gone. Marked favorites, gone. Avatars and keys, gone. It wasn’t a big deal because I love this app, so I just started over and that was that, however the same problem just reoccurred, which is very frustrating considering how far I’ve gotten. Otherwise this is a fantastic app and a fantastic way to kill time, I just hope for it to get adjusted so this doesn’t happen again.

Bugs are not being addressed. I’ve been playing mostly on my iPad or phone for a few weeks. A friend who lives across the county started playing and it was fantastic to play with her and her husband. Then her progress was all lost on her phone. She lost keys and categories she’d unlocked. I added the game to my AppleTV to play with friends that had come over. Last week I opened the AppleTV app and my progress is all reset on that app. It can see all my achievements, just not my save file. She and I have both submitted tickets to support and there hasn’t been any response. I also opened a ticket because the Switch controller’s buttons aren’t mapped correctly.

Good, but still buggy. As another reviewer noted, this game is great to play and has a fun mix of songs to choose from an unlock with your in-game credits (keys) for playing. My game has lost my progress three or four times now, which is quite frustrating. Even though we continue to play for now with what’s available from start, I will probably give up on this game if I can’t keep my progress and unlocks. Hope the developers can fix this glitch because it’s a fun game to play with my husband.

it’s okay. Ok so when I first downloaded this app I was really excited to start playing all of my favorite artists on this app. But then, when it asked me to buy an album, I saw Taylor Swift. I was so excited but, I didn’t have enough coins. So I earned some, and then Taylor Swift was gone. now today, I still can’t find Taylor Swift anywhere. Another problem I had was it kicking me out in the middle or when I was about to start. When I was in a middle of a game, I clicked the answer, it froze for a second then, it brought me back to the start when you open the app. Also when I was picking an album, it did the same thing. Hope you can fix this.

Fun But Major Problem. We downloaded this game on Saturday and played it for hours. We had so much fun. It was easy to play and had lots of music options. Fast forward to the next day, we are unable to play the arena portion because every time we select it and it goes through the process of adding other players and picking a category, the game boots us out and back to the AppleTV Home Screen. Every. Single. Time. We’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the game, changing settings, even installing it on a brand new AppleTV, but it still does the same thing. I downloaded this on my daughter’s iPad last night and it works on that but when she created a party room and I joined it, guess what? I was booted out of the app once the song guessing portion started. On her iPad, it told her I left due to no WiFi signal. First of all, our AppleTV is connected to internet via Ethernet cable straight into the box. And second, I tried unplugging the cable and using the WiFi since it was working on the iPad, but still had the same results. I’m at a loss on why this game worked perfectly the first day, but now won’t work on the AppleTV. I’d really like this to be fixed so we can go back to dominating the categories.

Yes 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻. I love this game I play it everyday. Its really fun putting your music skills to the test, and if you’re bored of listening to the music you have on your phone, I recommend downloading this game so you can discover more songs and artists! I have a request if anyone will read this, could you (the devs if you’re reading this) maybe add a video game playlist? Im sorry i had to ask 😐 But this is a great game and I 100% recommend it!

✨⚠️Read Before Downloading⚠️✨. EDIT: I just read through the reviews and saw that other people have experienced this issue and they still have no response from support, one person even made two reviews about this and still has nothing from support, so I changed my rating from 4 stars to 1 star and I will delete the game; Down below is my original post explaining the issue. I got Apple Arcade only a few days ago and have been really enjoying this game, For some reason my progress keeps being lost; I’ve had to replay the tutorial three times and purchase my favorite character in shop again twice, when I first lost my data I thought I got hacked so I changed my Apple ID information so people can’t hack me and then I still lost my progress and had to start everything all over again, including the may event and I feel so hurt by this because the skin is really cute and there’s only a few days left. I deleted and reinstalled the game today, so I had to replay the tutorial for three times now, I really hope that this issue can be fixed because I don’t want to keep redoing achievements over and over again only to just lose my progress once more. Also, I have my data collection turned on and have even saved my game and it still kept resetting.

Omg you need to download this app. At first I was concerned about the game but then I gave it a shot because it looked fun and it’s actually really fun you get to guess the music you can get first second third and fourth place I always get fourth but sometimes second I’ve never got in the first and the first few tries but it’s really good if you’re looking at this, you might be thinking but it’s not a good app but it is 😃

Very good but read. It’s extraordinary like my second favorite music game!! Project Sekai is in first but it’s very close. Anyways I’ve seen people lose progress and I personally never did but just in case here’s your warning. But I also really want a Hatsune Miku or Project Sekai playlist! Please please and also have a good day and Apple please consider my Miku idea it would make this my most favorite game :) anyways my wrists hurt so I’m done writing:)

Really good game! But afew problems.... This is my favorite game! I love how you can play with other people and friends! It’s such a clever game and I found some of my new favorite songs! My first problem is that when you join an arena round every one has the same category, I know you do this so it isn’t confusing but it can be bad because the game is waiting to find other people with the same category, and it can make the game load slow. Also, when you play the quiz there some songs that aren’t really there, like let’s say there’s the song playing and you click on the wrong songs, and you get the answers wrong, next time you play the song clicked on the other time pops up again, but they never play that actual song, it’s only an answer. It would be better if you make every answer a song. Over all, this game is amazing! I love it so much, thank you!

Fun game, but refuses to save my data. This game is fun, and has a lot of great songs and categories to play, but every time I closed the app it would reset my progress, despite it saying the game was saved. The first time I figured it was just a bug and I worked to recover everything I recovered, and then played for a few more hours. But the second time when it reset, the amount of progress I lost felt really daunting. The strange part was it finally let me skip the tutorial (which I wasn’t able to do the first reset) which makes me think it knows I’ve played before, but it still didn’t have my data. It’s a fun quiz game, and if you’re really into music the party mode would be great to play with family, but the fact that I’ve been reset twice makes me not want to keep playing.

MUCH NEEDED UPGRADE. My family and I loved the original SongPop Party on Apple TV, where you would join on your phone and guess the songs on your phone by swiping gestures. One person played on the Apple TV remote. It's kind of like Kahoot for whoever played those. That app was getting old though and SongPop 2 did not have that party feature. This was a much needed upgrade and it was the reason my family got Apple Arcade. It does not work on Apple TV, but you don't need it. I hope that they will add more characters soon as it is a small roster, but I get on this game every day as it is really awesome and I am so glad they brought back the party feature SongPops 2 and 3 are missing.

Great family game. The game is very simple: a song plays and you have to guess either the title or artist, you choose one of four options. You get more points the faster you guess, if correct. The best part is that is very easy to set up a game and invite others to play with you. My family of 4 has had more fun playing this game than any other game in the Apple Arcade library. Great fun for both the kids and parents.

Good but. I really really love this game except for the arena game where you can get playlists from stuff you’ve never heard. Let’s say I go into the rock arena, 90% of the time it’s great. But there’s those times where I can get an Italian or Brazilian playlist… like how is that fair? I haven’t unlocked it nor even listened to any of it before. Same goes with artists playlists, I hate the Arctic monkeys so why would I want to play that playlist? There should also be a thing in arena where you can leave the game when it’s queueing.. sometimes playing the same people over & over is boring.

After reading several reviews…. I had to post another. I personally haven’t had issues with losing keys, or my ranking not being updated, or losing data, or whatever…but then again, I don’t really pay that much attention to all that (well, except my keys). All I know is when I put it in “Arena” mode, pick a genre and hit play…I can go on for hours. For me it more about challenging myself. And pulling out a win by the skin of my teeth. I ❤️ it!

Some suggestions. I really like this game. It has enough good songs and variety to make it a good song guessing game. But, I do have some ideas for how to make it even better. I fell like a “gaming” category would be great for people who only really listen to game music. If it were to exist, I would say it should go in “soundtracks”, as a sub-category. Although, this means finding songs that aren’t very recognizable, in order to make it harder. Other than that, it’s a great game, keep up the good work!😃

Where’s the Worship/Gospel?!. Loved the first generation of this app, all the genres and music playlist options, but it was glitchy. This current version is cool — I do love the option to play with friends in the same room or remotely. But where did the Worship/Gospel music to and how can you leave that out?!?! It should be it’s own genre if not in a playlist of each decade. Pretty please bring it back! 🤍 Also while playing with friends, it would be great if not just the host gets to pick the Playlists, if it would switch between players to pick the playlist.

It is great, super fun!. I love this game. It has everything you need to level up your knowledge of song names. They update the game with new characters for nearly every holiday. It is a little hard to get the characters, but they give you plenty of time to get them (usually a week). Very fun and I like defeating my family in the game whenever we play it together. The game is surely not the best of the best, but it is very interesting. Very family friendly. It is a little glitchy every once in a while. Overall, it is nice and a fun mix up from the usual.

It's ok...but repetitive and obscure.... I've worked in on-air radio for a number of years, so naturally, I am going to like this type of game. I, for one, would like to know who programmed this thing. You go to "top hits of X year" and you get things I've never EVEN have heard of! Where are they hits at, Siberia???? Well, come to find out a couple of them I googled were released SOLELY in other countries...one was IRELAND. Yea, OK...LOL. But it's not the one or two obscure things, it's A LOT of them and FREQUENTLY. I even came across one that was supposedly released in 1985 and it wasn't until 1986!! LOL. I mean, COME ON. Then, it's always the same artists that play even though there are others listed as choices. Phil Collins is one. Tony Basil is another. I've seen more than one instance with these in the same freaking round! I am over it. ((and the character options are pitiful))

Fun game but needs tweaking. I just started playing this about a week ago, and I’m currently very obsessed with the arena mode but I wish the game was a little different. Some categories are more popular than others, so sometimes I end up playing with all bots and that gets annoying, so I think to add a feature where we can see how many people are playing what category would be nice. It would also be nice if they somehow incorporated challenges or something more than just getting keys and unlocking playlists. Other than that, I appreciate the variety of music this game has!

Not very much to do and just glitched on me. MORE BUTTONS, PLEASE!! How about instead of an all character catalogue, make a place where you spin a wheel and get a character from whatever the spinner lands on, and don’t put shadows, show full color characters. Then also, LOWER DOWN CHARACTER PRICES! So instead of ten, do five, instead of twenty, do ten, and instead of thirty, do fifteen. That’s 1/2 off! So, that glitch part… Ok, so just now I was playing SongPop Party and when I first played it was my name but now, MY NAME IS UNKNOWN!!! What happened? Glitch? Just some random thingy? Or just a very baaad thing?

Avoid the Comedy Songs playlist. I am enjoying most of the playlist, some of them do have a lot of repeats (Twenty One Pilots is on EVERY round of Essential Rock) but the comedy songs playlist is not well done at all. I assumed it would be a snippet of Weird Al or Tenacious D or Lonely Island singing, but most of the songs are the audience cheering at one of the above comedic shows and the time runs out before you actually hear a tune to name. Some of the sound bites are blank, and some are wrong (“Springtime for Hitler” was being sung by John Barrowman, not Nathan Lane nor Matthew Broderick, FYI). Most of the others are fun for now, and it is fun although you do have to keep unlocking more playlists because after you play through one about 4 times, you have heard all of the songs and although you can then impress your friends with your mad music skillz (tm), it kind of loses its appeal for you to already know the answers. I suspect I will be deleting this within the month after I play through the genres I like.

Fun for little bit, then becomes unplayable. Bad algorithms. The playlists play the same songs every time. You choose from song/artist choices that literally never get played. If the wrong answers from the choices you were given were actually ever played, it would make it more interesting. You end up becoming or playing against players who basically memorize the answers. I could win without even having my sound on by ruling out the songs that never play. This app needs updating. Fun, but.... Overall this is am interesting game, but with a few problems. If you don’t have a super strong internet connection it will lock up during Arena play or even solo play. Also, once you enter Arena play, you are stuck until it figures out the other players. There is no way to stop it should it not find anyone so you have to close it out. Waited nearly 5 minutes for a fourth person to be added before I said forget it and closed the app. Finally, you should be able to leave an arena game before it starts picking the category. Ended up with three other players with Taylor Swift as their category and I couldn’t tell you any of her songs because I actively avoid listening to her. I know that is on me for not knowing her songs, but if I could have left the arena before the category was chosen I would not have to screwed up the game for the other three players. Let them go on and listen to her garbage and let me move on to something else.

The only way it could be better is if you had skill levels and you can go against people with your skill level, because I am a beginner and I am constantly getting crushed and can only practice by going against my brother in party and he never wants to play. Latest version very bad. The latest version as of June 2nd 2021 glitches when the song/artist names are sliding in on arena mode so it takes longer to read them, thus slowing down my answers. Also once the arena game ends, the game crashes. None of this happened before this latest update. Running iPhone 12 Pro Max iOS 14.4 Could be device or iOS version related but either way it needs to be fixed ASAP.

PERFECT!!!!!. I absolutely love this app, it is well designed, very fun and something you could play for HOURS! I love it. You can invite friends to party with or do it solo. You have a big choice of songs and characters, it’s amazing! Only one thing though… ADD CHAINSMOKERS TO THE ARTISTS! They are a very good band and I would appreciate if you could add them. Great App. This app is absolutely fun to play solo or in a party I currently use this on my Apple TV and my family members use their iPhone’s to join in on the game plenty of content to unlock and the amount of playlists is great too, and most of all love how are the end of each round you can view all songs that was in that current round and then open Apple Music to add the songs to your library definitely worth 5 stars

Can’t stop playing. I really love it. I can’t stop playing. It’s really fun when I win. It would be great if there was some more songs added. For some of them I can learn the songs when they repeat so it gets a lot easier to win and then I just win every game even when people are changing their albums in the categories.

I did not know how utterly bored by a game I could be until I played this.. Sing pop party is possibly the dullest game on Apple Arcade. There’s no variety to the gameplay, just endless quizzing to be the first to buzz in. The player avatars are like an amalgam of the worst of Corporate Memphis and Funko Pop.

Looooving this. So now that it's working, it's pretty much the only game I'm playing. There are a lot of genres, times and artists to specialise in, which gives the game a lot of depth. Enjoy the side challenges, where you can unlock unique avatars. And all the avatars are super cute. One criticism is that there is significant lag or disfunction when the buttons are pushed. This means that your click doesn't register, or it takes much longer than it should, and you can loose points.

Lazy song selection - good layout. Admittedly, I’m in lockdown bingeing on games but the song selection in this game is lazy. I’ve played through a few different genres and this game tends to favour a few songs on rotation. If you have a good memory, the challenge part is missing as you’ve heard the same songs a few times. Layout is good. Concept is good. Please fix the song selection so the game isn’t boring.

Fantastic but game breaking bug. Brilliant game. I had a lot of fun playing this last night. Came back to it today and I can’t play anymore. If I try to change my playlist from Linkin Park, the game crashes no matter which mode I’m in and even after force closing app. It is a huge shame because it honestly hooked me last night in a way that not many apps have. I will happily change my rating once the bug is fixed.

Randomly deleted all progress. Works well as a continuation of the songpop formula but opened it the other day to find everything deleted and having to start new for no valid reason.

Great game. Scoring buggy.. Very addictive game. Love it. Podium positions aren’t consistent with score points though. Eg. 500 pts comes first, 600 pts comes second. Weird.

Unlimited invitee to a party. Can I just say this app is the best idea that ever invented. A brilliant concept, simple to use and fun to enjoy. My only issue is that hosting a party for 8 people is not great. I think it should be great to have unlimited number of guests participating. Also with covid restrictions and not having to have the opportunity to see families. I do feel that they are not going to be part of it due to only 8 can be invited to a party. Also by having unlimited invitee attending the party, it means people can raise money for a charity by having people be part of the party and it also can open opportunities for people to have teams competing for a grand prize. So I hope my feedback can be useful for the next update. Thank you

Excellent game for all the music lovers out there. I always have troubles finding games that I enjoy around the music genre, and I have to say this is got to be one of my favorites. Not only does it have the new school music it has the old school as well I listen to everything and anything music wise but I absolutely love this game, the only issue that I have with it is that they have no Papa Roach or no Train and those are my two favourite bands

Love this game!. I stumbled across this game in the arcade and have loved playing it with my husband! Plan to pull it out when I get around some friends. I would give this 5 stars but I’ve had it freeze up on me a couple of times at the very end of arcade mode so I wasn’t able to record my win!

All my data disappeared. I was literally in the middle of a match in Arena mode when the game reset and all of my data was lost. All my progress in the Xmas challenge, all unlocked characters, all unlocked playlists, everything gone. I only have one Game Center account, I’m still logged in to that account, and all my achievements in the game are still recorded there, so it’s not just that I got logged out or something. But the game itself is acting like I’ve never played before. Super frustrating.

No Micheal Jackson. I give it 4.8, the only thing stopping it from giving it more is that they don’t have Micheal Jackson on there. How can you not have one of the greatest artists of all time on there. Other than that it’s a really great game, even when you play the same playlist they still change the songs up a bit, and I like how you are allowed different characters. Though I do wish there were more characters of color.

More Artists please. I love the game, it is very fun! Just that when I checked for my favorite artist and see their music, they weren’t there. In every category like pop, country, rock, there’s also artist to choose at the top. All except hip hop. So fun!. Once we got Apple Arcade, my family found this app and played it non stop. We went to a party with our family-friends and got them to download it too! It’s a great family friendly competition. It’s fun to see which categories different people are better at. My dad knows every song from the 60’s, but I know the majority from the 2010’s. Get this app!!

Great! Does have some bugs. The app is wonderful and an amazing concept. It does have some bugs though menu items sometimes disappear and when using on the Apple TV (4K) it will randomly crash. Other than that, it’s beautifully done.

Greatest game in arcade, but I have some suggestions. Such a great game! It’s especially fun doing the artists category, but it’s kind of annoying scrolling through the entire artist section to find the certain one. It would be very helpful if they added a search bar for the artists. Other than that, it’s very fun and I 100% recommend!

Good game but missing something important. I love Song pop party but there is one problem that has been bugging me. That problem is that sometimes you can click the wrong song on accident so instead of your first click being submitted as your guess there should be some sort of submit button so if you misclick you can fix your mistake and choose the song you think is right.

Fun if game breaking bug was fixed. This could be a great family game. We all play sitting around the table (all on the same internet), and still certain people’s time doesn’t start for seconds after others’. We tested this in one game and found that two people who hit the same answer at the same time registered different times, not by tenths of seconds, but by two and a half full seconds. This clearly breaks the game and has happened in all games I’ve played (15-20). Will not be touching this app until this is fixed.

Addicting and Fun!!! 🤪. I LOVE music, so apps that use music as a part of gameplay always catch my attention. But the fact that this once uses playlists on Apple Music truly makes this one unique. I can save to Music straight from this app and I can study the playlists I want to get better at. Great practice for music game shows. 🤔

Good game but need in game audio settings. Really like this game but it needs to have some kind of in game audio adjustments. I usually play this while on voice chat with friends and it's impossible to hear them sometimes over the game volume. Would be great if we were able to balance the game audio so we can hear each other better.

Lots of potential, mediocre execution. This is a lot of fun to play, but every person has to pay for the arcade. In addition, there aren’t significant game mechanics, which could equalize play among different groups. You only hear a single clip of each song, which is the same each time. You can’t click on an artist or song for more information. There’s just a lot of potential here, but in its current state I wouldn’t pay to play this. I hope they fill in some of the holes to make this an A+ game, the concept is there for sure.

It’s a Family Favorite!. If there’s one thing that I can connect with my teenagers on, it’s our love of music. This app is just plain fun. It has us singing, it has us laughing, it has us just having a good time. Sometimes for hours, even. We can’t put this down! It’d be 5 stars if not for the occasional glitches (game freezes or kicks my son out of the party, etc.). We still see past any issues and just restart because it’s too much fun!

No variety to playlists. This game could be really fun except the quiz is just the same 10 songs. I’m in the 80’s genre, playing in arena mode (so supposedly that means I’ve opted in to online mode with a large music library in exchange for giving up my data) but it’s the same 10 songs for every event. It’s gotten to the point where I can score 900 points with the sound turned off. Essential 80’s - 10 songs on repeat. 80’s hair bands- a different 10 songs also on repeat. Potential, but instead it’s quickly boring. Only upside is that I always win! Just scored 940 in a round!

Spent more time trying to start Party mode than playing. Tried to play local Party mode with up to 7 players and never could get everyone connected at the same time. We tried different controllers, and even tried connecting 1 at a time around the room. The main Siri remote frequently lost focus as the “Host” controller, too. After more than an hour of frustration, we gave up and played Jackbox instead (works on the first try everytime.) Terrible Party mode execution.

Very good but read. It’s extraordinary like my second favorite music game!! Project Sekai is in first but it’s very close. Anyways I’ve seen people lose progress and I personally never did but just in case here’s your warning. But I also really want a Hatsune Miku or Project Sekai playlist! Please please and also have a good day and Apple please consider my Miku idea it would make this my most favorite game :) anyways my wrists hurt so I’m done writing:)

Won’t load just crashes. I was bale to play the game once but then an update broke that and since then I can no longer play. As soon as the game loads up it crashes. I’ve contacted support multiple times with no reply still even a year later to get this fixed. Terrible support and terrible game cause I can’t even play it.

A fun game to pass time. Love playing this game because it feels like a trivia game. It has a big selection of music genres to choose from and a lot of songs for each genre. I would like to see more Spanish music in it though. That would make this an even better game for me.

So much fun dude. I’m a pothead trying to get through a sober day of work and this helped so much nostalgic music and fun people who remember the same titles you do and you can even heart them to show extra love just hope more songs get added in the future I can see this getting repetitive

Awesome game, but suggestion for an update. My wife and I have been enjoying this game a lot, but one suggestion for an update would be an option to filter out songs or artists you don’t want to hear. I have to avoid entire categories unless I want to run the risk of hearing something Justin Bieber whines out and plagues my ears with. It would be such a wonderful quality of life improvement if we could simply filter out artists you have no interest in ever hearing of your own will.

Update your app!. Hi, i really love the app but I noticed that you guys didn’t upload Taylor Swift new albums; folklore and evermore and fearless taylor version and red Taylor version. So when i choose Taylor’s playlist to play, its boring me and the fans because you guys didn’t remove her old albums that aren’t owned by her and instead update them by her new albums versions. Please guys make changes!

A great trivia game with some minor issues. Occasionally the game will not play music when the new answers come up, only silence. Another minor frustration is when the clips it plays are nearly silent sections of a song with the actual music starting right when time runs out to pick an answer. Please address this! Other than those gripes, it’s great to play when it’s working like it should, even solo!

Great game, but buggy. As other commenters have pointed out, the game gets a bit unstable at higher levels. I am unable to move up the leaderboards anymore. I’ve seen other players burn up more than half their time and then still get a 2 second guess. You will see the exact same 10 songs in a row sometimes. Also, the volume levels could stand to be normalized from song to song.

I love song pop party it is the best online music game. I hope that everyone will one day see how good song pop party is and there is also a wide variety of songs and you might be able to find your favorite songs and it has challenges but that is the fun part

Needs more NIN. This game rules. Found it yesterday and am addicted to it. My only request… please add Nine Inch Nails as one of the artist playlists. Also would love to see The National, Saul Williams, John Carpenter, and Foster the People. There’s loads to love about this game. It works so well. Quick to match with others for multiplayer and rounds go so fast. Big recommend from me!

A few suggestions for a great game. My family and I are enjoying the game a lot, and we have a few thoughts! - How about automatically creating an Apple Music playlist called ‘SongPop’, and automatically add anything the user ❤️’s? Or perhaps offer a Shortcut that users can use to export their favorites to a playlist? - Why are the characters hidden/shadowed? I’d be more inclined to buy more if I knew what I was getting. PS: A curly haired guitarist with a top-hat would be a nice addition, eh? - Is the Arcade version compatible with the App Store version, insofar as competing with others? - How far away are we from being able to use Memoji as our avatars? Keep up the good work!

It’s okay, but…. So this game is fun and I think the whole reason I have this problem is my fault, but still. It’s an excellent game, but earlier today I was playing it and saw someone had German essential hits and I thought, “ohh! How interesting!” So I went to the shop and there was no German essential hits to purchase so I assumed it was because of my region. I’m in the USA and I wanted J-pop. I thought it would just be a friendly little hack to get Japanese pop music, but no. I went to the game once I had changed my region And it was glitching and was like: “Error! Something went wrong!” Of which I predicted, so I tried deleting the app temporarily.. But it didn’t work.. I switched back to the USA and still didn’t work. Can you help me? I just want Japanese..

The songs more variety. I’m a person who likes different songs from songs like these which makes me weird in a way, but I know there are other people like me out there. I like video game music soundtracks and I know there are popular ones out there, so for people like me could you add game soundtracks because I love listening to them like some other people. Basically just add a lot of video game soundtracks.

No.. This isn’t actually a game. It’s pop culture memorization. Reflex recall. Over an extremely limited, and annoying, data set that, by intent, can be memorized by rehearsal after failure. There’s no skill, tactics, or strategy. Just pop culture exposure and variation. Not even much variation — it’s music, therefore key, tempo, and timbre can be randomized. The sought pattern is more essential and simpler than any of that, just disguised, and still nothing like that is attempted here. Just very basic sensory/name association. Random guessing when lacking any idea is rewarded. And while I’m generally not one to yuck on someone else’s yum, I’m genuinely tired and exasperated by “games” that rely on memorization of pop culture details _rather than adding to them_. By comparison, there are so many games that do, themselves, become culture. It’s not to say that every game has to succeed in becoming a pop culture icon. But a game that’s reversed that entirely… nah. That’s a test, not a game. I test well. But that doesn’t make it a good game.

Fun, but unlocked categories don’t work offline. I really like this game, and it would be perfect to kill time on long flights. BUT, the unlocked categories don’t seem to work if you don’t have WiFi. This is very disappointing because I’d like to be able to play this on the plane! Doesn’t seem to be a good reason for it, can the developers fix this problem!!

All Bot Opponents. The core game is a lot of fun and the music library is huge. However, after playing the “multiplayer” Arena mode for a while, you’ll start to notice that all your opponents are bots. Since the game is presented as a competition, once you see past the illusion and realize you are not playing against real people the game loses a lot of its appeal. This seems like a trend in Apple Arcade and is very disappointing.

Doesn’t add the bonus points in arena mode. I absolutely love this game and I have been playing it for almost two years. However, the bonus amounts (1st place 1,000, 2nd place 500) awarded in arena mode do not always get added to the point total. The points are added the same (2x the point total, no bonus) as playing in solo mode. This used to only happen once in a while but now it happens all the time.

Most comfortable game. This game is the best !!!!!! You can choose you character and unlock more when you win music. There are so many different music genres you can pick too!!! A Little More…. I’m curious as to if you’d be interested in doing something for the minority. Could you please add a Christian playlist, or at least album. We Christians have, Country, Rock, Alternative, Pop, Worship. It shouldn’t be to hard to make. Just look at a few bands: MercyMe, TobyMac, CastingCrowns, for King and Country, Skillet, Bethel Worship, y’know? There’s tons! Just think about it please? I mean if you can make a workout playlist, surely you can think about making a Christian one. Please and thank you!

Fun, even with bots.. This is super fun for music geeks. You may not always find human competition but the bots are pretty great competitors, not too easy/too hard. Lots of categories. I just wish there was some kind of option to DM or chat with other players because I like getting to know people through music. I get why they don’t have it though, since things got mad toxic in Trivia Crack. Peace, love and music y’all!

Party mode does not work. My daughter sent me the link from her iPad to my iPhone to join and play. I joined and it won’t let her start the party that she is hosting and if I try to host a party on my iPhone I get an internal server error. Both devices are up to date and so is the app. Good game over all but the fact the party side wont work is a bummer. If that was to get operational could go up 2 stars for now it’s mediocre.

ADD MORE SONGS. I really love this game but I feel like there should be more artists in the game. For example, it should have more rappers like Kanye West, Drake, Tyler the Creator, Pharrell Williams, etc. Maybe even add other singers like Olivia Rodrigo, Steve Lacy, Conan Gray, Rihanna, SZA, Childish Gambino, Rex Orange County and many more. Otherwise, this game is very fun and I love playing it with my family!! Thank you and I hope you guys take this request in mind! :)

Needs more Songs. Great game, would play this everyday if they did t play the Same songs over and over again. For example, the Punk playlist plays the same songs over and over (The Clash, Green Day, blink-182, the Ramones). This is the same no matter what playlist you pick. Some may have more then others, but if you play enough it becomes a game of who can click faster instead of who knows the songs, because everyone already heard each songs 100 times already.
