Beautiful. The aesthetics and graphics are pretty. Very fun game. Some things don’t make sense when I stumble upon a combination that works until I think about it. I tend to forget the game says “use your creativity” meaning physics don’t necessarily apply. I like that it keeps a score. For those who are concerned about scores, it gives you the feeling of really needing to use your brain.

Buggy. The games is super buggy with this last update. Selecting Evolution+ cause the game to freeze up for a few seconds before it tells me that it’s locked until I’ve found all 134 combinations, which I already have. Upon going into the regular Evolution option it then realizes I’ve found all the combinations previously and unlocks Evolution+. Once I reopen Evolution+ again now that it open to me, it wants me to find all the combinations I’ve already discovered AGAIN before I unlock the new combination.

Won’t load after the Christmas update. I couldn’t get it to load after the update so i eventually deleted the app and re downloaded it- still won’t load. Hopefully this will get fixed quickly - looking forward to playing - I’d give it 5 stars if i could get it to load. Update: Thanks for contacting me - I did retry the game after a week or so and it was working great. So i am changing from a 1 star to 5 stars. I think this game is a lot of fun.

Reset part of my progress. This is a really good game except for one fact, I was on evolution + and had gotten past 306 elements when all of a sudden it said I had completed episode 2: the breakthrough and could now go to evolution + I got confused because I could have swore I was on evolution + so I backed out of it and went back it and it reset my progress back to the amount of elements I had when I had first unlocked it. I’m sure it’s just a bug and this is a really good game so please fix it for me! Other than that if your like me where you spent your childhood playing little alchemy, then I totally recommend this game, it’s awesome!

Update??. It’s been a month of silence. Been a fan since the first game on iTunes, and I get that games take time to make. I honestly completed all the worlds in 3 days because I remember a lot of the combinations and I’m obsessed with these games. So if you could respond with any kind of update? Your Twitter hasn’t had any updates either. The longer y’all stay silent the more people will delete the game. I’m about to myself since it’s just taking space

Waiting On Update!!. I love this game and I already finished the technology chapter. Next to it is this clock that says coming soon. I thought that this meant that in a future update that there would be more to add on but here’s the thing. I have made so many updates and nothing. I come back to the game and it still says coming soon. It has quite literally been years and there has been nothing about a new update that unlocks anything new. Seriously how long will I have to wait until there is something. Some update that will FINALLY unlock this new chapter? Up to this point I have done the same thing.

Misattributes quotes repeatedly. In general, it’s a Doodle God game. You should already know what to expect for gameplay. You mash ingredients together hoping to unlock the next ingredient. Nothing new there. The new thing is that some of these things will “spawn” on your planet so you can visibly see the changes you make as you progress. Pretty cool! What annoys me is that when you unlock a recipe you get a blurb or quote and in this game the quote is often COMPLETELY misattributed, or is just labelled “proverb”. This is especially common when they quote a Bible verse. Instead of quoting the Bible it’s changed slightly and they just label it “Proverb”. For example, “You must separate the wheat from the chaff” is attributed as a generic “proverb”. Despite the fact that it’s VERY well known to have been part of Jesus’ parables. This is minor, but starts to feel intentional as it happens OVER and OVER again.

Solid Doodle God experience.. Overall pretty good. I did notice a few of the original elements such as those pertaining to Alcohol and Tobacco appear to have been cut, probably to keep this game more family-friendly compared to the original. The voiceover almost sounds like a Morgan Freeman impression (unless, against all odds, it is Morgan Freeman himself, but I’m strongly leaning toward impression here), which is fitting as he played God in Bruce/Evan Almighty. It’s also really cool that said voiceover has redubbed all the original success / failure lines from the original game when you achieve / flub a new combination, respectively. Rated 4 out of 5 stars for some of the elements from the original game being missing and not every element appears on the planet when you make it, but if I could give 4.5 out of 5, I would, because this game is worth it.

Cool concept, I guess. This is an interesting idea but often ends up being boring (trying every possible combination) and annoying (when you finally find the combo and it’s something you would have never found without brute-forcing). Sure, hints are available, but if you're like me you try not to use them much to keep in the “spirit of the game”. Maybe I'm just weird like that. Anyway, I’ve seen reviews that talk about this, but there are other things I haven't seen mentioned (1) The cast of characters on the icons is wonderfully diverse, but whoever made the planet view decided everyone should be white. Why?!? (2) The english is very broken in the challenges, at least the two that I tried. It damages the atmosphere of a “smart” game (which I think is what the devs are going for), as well as gives the message to the player that these updates were thrown together without much quality control. I suggest you look elsewhere for iterations on this concept.

Quality mixed with frustration. The Doodle God series has always been this way. On the one hand, getting a new combination is satisfying and seeing it reflected in the globe is a magical experience. On the other, after you’ve made all the reasonable guesses, you’re left with either using a hint, or going through every possible permutation of every new element you have unlocked. Worse, the game will periodically unlock recipes from old ingredient combinations, meaning that just because you tried a combo half an hour ago doesn’t mean you don’t have to try it again. All in all, the game is unique and entertaining enough to justify playing, but it’s far less a puzzle than it is an exercise in mashing things together. Finally, the apple arcade version is graphically incredible as you fill out the globe… but it’s also incomplete. Though if you’re already a subscriber, you might as well give it a shot.

Doodle Dodd. This game is fun and exciting and sometimes it stumps me just so I can FaceTime but I like it and I have made almost everything I like your house is different worlds like you can go to you can go to like you got the early days the day when it’s just so cool my rate for this game is 4 1/2 stars but I put five because I love this game but for people playing it I read I read the same good but if you’re a kid like me just like nine I read it 4 1/2 stars

Installed update broken. Was looking forward to update. Went through entire game again. Said found all elements then said find all combos in + mode. Well though I just did that. So played again and all my progress under plus mode is gone. So I go through again. Find all the elements then tells me to find all combos through plus mode. I was in plus mode. It brings me back to title screen and I select plus mode again. And again it wiped all my progress and started me a the beginning. Will not play through again. Gets old after the third time through.

Still fun…. I remember discovering Doodle God back when it was just a flash game… oh the memories of wondering what I would combine to create. I am now MUCH older (in my 20s) and this game is still just as fun and now even more sleek on Apple Arcade. Would recommend to anyone who loves a good time passer as well as the grind of collecting things, this game does a great job of making you fulfilled. For people who enjoy simulation games, collection games, hobby games. No pressure, just discovering new elements and trial and error. Keep it up! Will continue to play every new challenge/update that comes out!

Good, But Incomplete. Updated: The game seems much more complete now with a lot more stuff to do. Overall, it’s a great game. Oddly entertaining. Original: This was definitely entertaining, but it felt incomplete. I honestly thought there would be more to the game. I finished matching all of the elements in one day and then the game was pretty much finished. It has some sections that say coming soon, so I guess I will wait for the other parts.

Fun and Family Friendly. Some elements are a bit spooky (be prepared to talk about some violent aspects like what an assassin or a zombie is)but overall very friendly for younger players. No need for reading skills. My kid loves exploring the world and has restarted the game several times. In settings, you can make it to show how many more connections there are or dim out elements that have no more connections at the moment. Can’t wait for more content!

Decent Remake of a classic genre of Games. This game is a wonderful, beautiful remake of a game in which I used to play years ago. For all those who have played Doodle God, Doodle Devil, or Little Alchemy, this is a great game as it adds wonderful graphics and designs with many of the important elements being added to the world once you’ve discovered them. This type of game is not for everyone as depending on your experience with the game, the game can go very slow or very fast (the game definitely speeds up once you’ve discovered Humans as they are able to interact with almost every group of elements, but that can be expected) Due to it being an Apple Arcade game, it does seem more child friendly than it’s past versions so I won’t keep my hopes up for a Doodle Devil remake.

Incomplete. Let’s see if you can guess all the combinations. That’s really all you do. I wouldn’t call this a game. Aside from matching increasingly complex elements, there’s nothing to actually do. Once you understand how to match the elements you are not presented with any challenges or story. I don’t know why this was released before it was complete. I can see interesting aspects arise from the concept, and I look forward to those, but odds are I’ll probably forget about the game before those come around. That’s unfortunate.

Doodle god. Doodle god is fun way to get your brain ready for the day it gives your brain a logical challenge it is also fun To play with friends it wasn’t made as a two player game but it is fun to see what the other person can come up with…..and instead of getting bored of it really fast it is a game that takes a while to get bored of I started this game 2 year’s ago and I am not tired of it yet !!!!!

Simple formula. Mix and match elements to create the varied components of a proto-earth. Should be as simple as one + one (and it is) except that matches begin to feel arbitrary and frankly nonsensical. The game very quickly devolves into trial and error with random ingredients to create random things, like an apple or a fern. The game mechanic, if you can call it that, got boring really quick and it gave no impression that it would change given enough effort. Also, sidebar: the narrator trying to be cheeky every time you fail to create something got a annoying enough that I played the game with muted audio.

No menu??? Still…. Update version 1.1.3- The menu issue where you get stuck on the blue screen with half the earth was supposedly fixed… it was not. In the update log it was said it was due to quick tapping on the logo screen, so when I loaded up the update I didn’t touch the screen until it once again got stuck on the earth. So then I tried re-downloading the game entirely and once again not touching the screen until it was done loading the game. This did not work. You did not fix the bug. It still is there and still very annoying.

Nothing special. In terms of Doodle God this game can really only be described as mediocre. While the lack of ads is always a plus it doesn't really bring anything new to the table, and actually cuts quite a few classic elements. Really disappointed at the lack of sin-related stuff because some of it wasn't even mature and the ones that were could have been reworked to be more family-friendly. Overall it's not bad but not something that contributes to the quality of AA as a whole.

Fun Game, lot of time wasted.. I had a fun time playing this game, I was about to play more today because I spent a good amount of time accumulating elements yesterday. However, when I loaded the game today I was missing many elements. I still have the achievements for creating 70 elements and when I load in it tells me I only have 38. I opened it this morning and still had the 70, went to play it later in the day and I had 38. I am not going to go back and waste my time remaking all of the ones I am missing, I am just going to leave the game and accept that it was cool while it lasted. Do to this, I would say that this does not compete with its predecessors.

A Bug?. I rarely write reviews honestly, but whenever playing Evolution+, I cannot get past number 348. I can’t use hints either because whenever I tap one, it blacks out and the countdown to receive a new hint starts. I also think it’s insane that you only received one new hint of each kind no matter how long it’s been since you opened the app. I opened the game after work and had only 3 hints, one for each type. I like the game, but I am dropping one star for the glitch and another because I think they should give you more than one hint. I’ll change my rating if these issues are fixed. The game is unplayable to me until they are. I already played through all the quests, so no need to reply and ask me if I have done the quests, developers…because I’ve noticed they do that crap a lot, and do not ask me to change my rating either. I will if they fix the problem (I noticed they tell people to change the ratings too in their unhelpful responses 🙄)

I still like the game. I’m giving three stars only because every time I log in to this game, I literally have to restart it. No matter how far I get. I love this game. It is a lot of fun. Especially when you need to kill some time. But it’s very annoying that every time I log into this game, I have to start all the way over. I have everything logged in and saved. This just started after the dang updates but it’s okay. I still play it lol. Gives me the fun of finding things all over again.

Fun but hard.. So this is fun and addictive and addictive but sometimes you can get boring or very hard when you’re trying to mix two elements that don’t work and you just have to use the hits but you run out of him figure just have to keep mixing it until Christmas you just have to mix it until it becomes useless I mean sorry typo and if it’s still useless there’s nothing we can do

Great job just a few little things. I am SO addicted and I LOVE that all the things you discover get put on the map but I just wish you could interact with the things on your planet. It would also improve the game if it wouldn’t allow you to rematch things that you already did before. I just love the game these are just a few things to bring the game up another level. Thanks

Read this.. This is good I have been playing for at least 2 hours Strait!! Even know I’m like a 10 year old kid I like it and it is fun for at least all ages and that’s just my opinion but you should probable get it like nothing coasts and it’s free so yea and if you like adds I seriously have no clue because I have a add blocker so yea you should definitely get this I like I only imagine you would like it to.

Was fun for the maybe 20 minutes I could get it to run. After that, the app crashed and when I tried to reopen, I got stuck in a loading menu. Tried deleting and redownloading the app several times, but every time I would just get stuck loading. I tried playing with and without wifi, turning off Bluetooth mode, and letting it load for more than 10 minutes, all to no avail. My only guess as to what could be the problem is that I received multiple notifications when opening the app that my iCloud storage was full. I didn’t really have any intention of storage for a game I hadn’t played, and if that’s what’s causing the issue, that’s very frustrating. Additionally, going to this developer’s support page was kind of bizarre. The page was mostly barren, only a “check ticket status” option. There was now FAQ, and the only way to submit a request for support was to create an account. I did so, but was unable to access my account until confirming my email. I never received a confirmation email, and there was no way to ask them to resend. I’m currently updating my phone, which hopefully may solve the problem, but the experience has been frustrating.

More fun than I thought. The narration sounds like Morgan Freeman, the video cutscenes are actually interesting and the animations for discovering elements are inspired and well done. The gameplay of discovering which elements conbine together is less of a puzzle game and more of a pick random elements. Some of the combos are clever, but as you go on many really do not make sense as things you would guess. They only make (partial) sense in hindsight. That said, good game. It kept my attention. I feel that I will be discarding it though. I passed the first world and will see if the second world holds my interest.

That’s it?. This is a beautiful game and is good for idly passing some time, but there is nothing more to it than coming up with combinations of elements to create a new one. I had hoped that the world I was creating would evolve or more game options would open up, but it appears that each new element gets a little spot on the world like a trophy, and that’s it. No interactions on the world, nothing. There are other modes that aren’t functional yet, but I don’t feel like waiting around for them so I’m deleting it. This was my first game played on Apple Arcade, and if this is as complex as it gets with their games, I’ll be canceling it soon. I want to see games like Dragon Tamer or Horse Haven, but without having to pay for every little thing. Are you listening, Apple?

Best Game in Apple Arcade. I love this game so much; From the graphics to the gameplay, this game is my favorite mobile game at the time of writing this. Would 1000% recommend this game. It is splendid, from the fact that it is calming, and non-stressful, to the fact that (obviously) there are no ads, and it’s just straight enjoyable! I can’t even think of any single thing that could improve it. Great work..

Major let down. Let me start by saying that I *love* the original Doodle God games. I rarely purchase apps, and I bought 6/8 of the originals. This version, however, is so disappointing.. First, PLEASE make the option to stop seeing the planet animation available immediately instead of 10 elements in. It's so incredibly nauseating. On that topic, an accessibility option to stop the groups from wiggling up and down would also be a really good idea. (I tried to find this option in settings.. if I've missed it and you tell me where to fix it, I will adjust the rating for this portion of the review.) I'm also very disappointed that the really useful upgrades are no longer available. "Elements without pairs," "Show final elements," and "Disable repetition" were so helpful, especially if you didn't want too much of a hint. "Disable repetition" was SUCH a time saver, and having read some of the negative reviews, seems as though it would be very appreciated.

Pretty good game. When I started this game it was way more than I expected i’ve been playing this for hours and you can exit out of the game and come back in and have more hints at least one at gives you a free thing for your island gameplay is amazing I really suggest this game if you want to have a game at you want to play a lot this is the game for you but one bad thing is if you tried to make some things, some things won’t come to your island they will just be there

Childhood Game Improved!. Doodle God was the game my siblings and I grew up with and played when we were only 7-8. I downloaded this game again after an entire decade (about a week ago now) and everything is so much more advanced! I absolutely love the new animations, before you would only be shown the elements and what you combined. Playing horizontally rather than vertically was also something I was really excited about! I love the new updates to this game, thank you!

Fun, but Lacking Features & Content (comeback later). I have not been following this game series and haven’t heard of previous titles. I like playing new games on Apple Arcade, so I was very excited when this one came out. The images and gameplay, along with the learning, are very remarkable. However, I feel like I’m missing something; my Quest and Puzzles remain locked. Whoever makes this game doesn’t provide the ability to send emails without hunting down their contact info, and there is a push for me to use other apps/sites to speak with community members, which seems shady. As a new game (which is how I’m rating it), I’m disappointed with the lack of content and guidance. I’m sure months or years from now, this game will have all the bells and whistles that the marketing hype eluded, but this game today doesn’t rise to the level of its potential.

Play the original, to be completely honest. This is Doodle God gameplay all right. But they took the “Doodle” out of it, replaced it with a weird mix of realtime polygonal 3D, and digital art that goes out of its way to be diverse within its style. An odd combo that doesn’t not work, but the intent behind it feels smoothed-out and corporate. But the biggest issue I have is that it’s nigh impossible to avoid the 3D models it’s rendering. Even if you tap to go back out to the elements screen after a reaction, it renders the new thing on the planet in the background, using battery like crazy and heating your phone. After all this it gave me the “Rate the game!” popup, so here I am. I felt mildly miffed enough to come over here and actually write something. All in all, I think I’m actually gonna put this one down and go play the originals, despite the fact this is included with Apple Arcade. I get a kick out of the gameplay whenever I think about the series, once in a blue moon, but there was charm in the former simplicity obviously lost on people out to make money.

A great remake of a classic. I don’t know what all of these low reviews are all about. This game is obviously a remake of the classic “alchemy” app, but with many improvements. I agree that some of the combinations are a little odd and there were a lot of missed opportunities on some other combinations, but the graphics and the overall ease of combining elements is fantastic. I think people just get frustrated with this game when they hit a wall, but the hints provide great support there if needed. Overall, a well crafted game and well worth the download.

Cool spin on a match game. Enjoying the game so far. Got my boyfriend so hooked on it, he beat the first stage before me and I started playing a while before him lol. Although he kind of button mashes until he gets a combo. Berating Morgan Freeman sounding guy be damned. I play with the game on mute most times cause his commentary gets annoying after a while. Other than that, fun game. Love the graphics and art style really. That’s what keeps me playing.

Definitely get so worth. This game is so fun and there is no ads you get to be creative and use your imagination . It’s like creating your own universe just with your bare and a phone/iPad . When I played this game at first i thought to my self this is kinda boring but then I started to play it and it’s really fun 🤩. I literally can’t get off my phone from playing this I play it an average 5 hours a day I’m so obsessed with it and I think you will to😉.

Released too early. This game is pretty, fun and moderately challenging. It is a huge array of possible matches to keep track of, and I guess the idea is find all the correct combos with the least number of attempts (don't know, not explained). No way to know if you have attempted a given match before unless you can track it in your head. Agree with other reviewers that some matches miss the mark and other obvious choices are missing, but that would be expected in a game like this. More content is promised, but no idea of when it will be available. Since I have played through once, I would like to start a new game, but that option is not available. Overall, just feels unfinished.

Dude. Really?. M I’m SUCH a huge fan of this game I have been since the browser flash version, But I had almost everything unlocked literally minus 3 elements. The game doesn’t keep my progress, or track nearly any at all. When I open the game it will most times put me at a random place with a random number of elements discovered. If that’s how the programming works that’s super shiesty and weird. I just wwnt it to beat the game and unlock other modes guys :( I tapped 2 stars but I feel like that’s almost unfair for how much I love doodle element puzzle games but come see onnn

Shows Promise, Needs Work. Started this game remembering when I played as a kid. It delivers on that, but disappoints in many respects. It really needed more time Cons: -unfinished. Only one ‘world’ is complete. There are no challenge level and a limited number of things to discover. Lots of ‘coming soon’ to be seen. -some bad recipes. I needed to use a lot of hints. Generally good, but I really hated a few like the oil one. A lot of the expected combinations just don’t work. -short play time. This took about a few hours. I don’t think this really matters to most people, but the name universe just doesn’t represent the game to me. I think this will change. Pros -Future. Looks like a ton of new content is upcoming. - Some funny quips The different quotes for each item are funny. -Great voice actor. His voice is perfect and the lines work well. -Beautiful graphics. The world area was a neat touch. -Chill gameplay. It’s not too hard and just good to enjoy. -Free hints. Great options for different play styles. If you are struggling they’re a lot of different types of hints available.

Not too special. So I liked the original doodle god games, but I don’t think there’s as much new to do here than they make it out to be. The events “Halloween” and “Christmas” etc, are fun but short. I don’t really think there’s much more this game can be and they should stop making these games bc there’s no where else for the franchise to go. Also they removed a few funny elements like s*x which wasn’t bad in of itself but I can see why. Worth maybe a couple of days, but just the afternoon if you played the last ones.

Wanted feature.. In the original game, there was an option to dim the elements that had no reactions left available. I’m tired of clicking through all the elements trying to find that one reaction I somehow missed when fast clicking through each element in a group. I don’t know how I missed the mushroom element, even though the reaction was available since nearly the beginning of my play through. Missed it several times and the two groups had been complete for a while. Please as this feature back into this version. It’s the only thing keeping me from rating 5. Other than that, I really enjoy this game.

I guess I missed something. So, I played through the entire game (I think) and I just don’t understand what happened? Like. You match a ton of stuff and “create” these new items which then get a 3D version? You do that about 150 times and then bam, nothing else to do. There’s no puzzles? No advancements? Just the one short little matching game with no penalty or consequence for failure? Don’t get me wrong, the options for other things to do are there. But when you click on ANYTHING it just says “coming soon”. How was this green lit as a full game?

This is the best game ever but one thing. First, you can pretend like you’re God, although I don’t believe god and I think it’s just good to mix. It’s kind of like baking and I love baking but it’s just so fun and I’m still trying to figure out how to make death and darkness in houses and I can’t wait for my planet to be complete. I’ve only played on this game two times but I can see that this is the best game ever. Maybe you should make it a little harder because my cousin loves the game but he is so good at it that me and him got bored of it so maybe you should make a doodle good universe 2

Is a great game. **update** Since leaving this review everything has been straightened out and I am back to plugging away at finding new combinations. Love this game Since the new update I am able to do the challenges but I had completed Evolution with all 138 items discovered. Evolution+ is still locked and says I am missing things. I try going back into Evolution and it goes to a scoreboard with no why of backing out. Please help?

Cant access evolution+. I’ve been waiting for the update on this game since I beat it a couple of months ago. I finally see that the game has been updated. I open the game and try to go into evolution+ and it says I’ve only discovered 100 out of 138 elements. I find that strange because I was pretty sure I beat the game, so I go back to the regular evolution and see that I do have all 138 elements. I clicked on the last evolution and it brought me to a screen with other peoples stars and tells me congratulations you’ve discovered all the elements, now go play evolution+ to discover more. I looked everywhere on the screen and there was no way to exit out back to the main menu. I tried exiting out of the game but that just reset the whole process. I would like to play but I don’t know what else to do or what I’m missing.

Crash & Burn. The gameplay is pretty mindless as far as finding combinations, and the graphics are really beautiful. I love Morgan Freeman’s “narration” and comments. BUT After the latest update a few days ago, I lost ALL progress of where my game was (which was completed & found all combinations and was just waiting for an update for more). When I went to load the game, it’s back at 2/100 of the very beginning. I spent all of my free time yesterday trying to do all the combinations again. The game kept crashing and I kept trying to load it and reload it, and finally I got to about 10 short of finding all combinations and the game crashed again and I’ve lost all progress again, and I’m back to the beginning again. UGH. Very frustrated.

Unexpected find!!!. So I played the earliest version of this game when it released, I kept it for awhile thought it was interesting but never held my attention long term. I re-downloaded as an Apple Arcade offer and man what a change! The story modes keep me from getting bored with the primary game mode (evolving the planet) so I like the duplicity there. There other bug change from the OG version is the cinematic that go with certain discoveries; it just adds that “ooo, aaa” feel that I need for a long term game. Amazing job! Suggestions: Continue story modes with the holiday themes, and maybe you could adapt other classic short stories into the story mode? Cheers!

Fun, challenging and addictive. Just started playing this game but so far, it’s right up my alley. The game mechanics are easy and it’s super satisfying to see your own planet come to life. The added layer of the Voice makes the game even more pleasing.

Huge Battery Drain. Enjoyable game, but a massive drain on the battery. Don’t play unless you have a charger handy! Also, I lost half my progress on the first map after quitting and coming back to the game later. For some reason it stopped saving.

I want more!. Love the graphics and the interface! Can’t wait for the new updates to come out so I can play some more. There are a few combinations that are questionable though 😂

Can’t get all the achievements…. Hey guys, I’m an achievement hunter and I downloaded this because of my subscription to Apple Arcade… but it seems impossible to get them all as the Easter and thanks giving events are not playable… Another thing too I can’t seem to be able to unlock the 28 days and the 28 days in a row, I’ve completed the challenge like 3 times and haven’t unlocked it… Every time I get to day 27 I get the achievement day 1 again… please fix this so I can get that game completed! Thanks (I would rate it more if there wasn’t this problems).

Not the Same. This is not the Doodle God that I grew up playing and fell in love with. All the elements that made the quirky and unique and above all funny have been removed, and it’s heartbreaking.

Lost everything. You said this bug was fixed!? I have suddenly restarted and it is so annoying because I had almost finished the game! What makes it worse it that in the Version History you said this bug was fixed! Completely fixed, in fact.

I love this game. I really do. And I appreciate the recent update that means I don’t have to sit through the planet cut scenes. But the only way I’ll give 5 stars is if you groups don’t automatically close every time I find a new element. It’s disruptive and makes me want to stop playing completely rather than play the other game modes, in particular Evolution+ where I have to start over. I want an ‘oh cool a new element! What does the quote say?’ moment instead of a ‘quick tap tap tap before I forget where I was up to’ ending with me forgetting anyway, and feeling disappointed. Edit: the developer response to this was poor. Please make it a setting option so I can play the game the way I enjoy playing it. The red badge to indicate a new element is bugged and doesn’t work anyway. So it reverts to a screen of categories for no gain, and just impacts the enjoyable and relaxing flow of matching, which is why I play. I’ve deducted another star, but I hope this and many of the other bugs are fixed soon.

Apple Arcade. I’m very disappointed to find this great game has moved from free to play to Apple Arcade exclusive. Really annoying as I had finished it within a few hours and was just waiting for the promised update with more levels. Really cheap trick.

Update. This is a freaking awesome game. I would love it if you guys added more updates and combos, cos I wanted to combine void and weapon to make desintegrator bu I couldn’t

Why did some elements were taken out?. Some combinations and elements from previous updates (Turkey, Chinese dragon, etc.) were taken out but still count in missing combinations and it’s making the game buggy and impossible to complete. What happened? Please add them back!

Enjoyable but sexist. Enjoyed it well enough, until “villager” and “woman” were listed as separate. Woman is not different from villager - especially since this game is about creation and commodity. Irresponsible and sexist for a game marked 4+.

Absolute masterpiece, could obviously be improved,. I think they could add a crafting mechanism, like Minecraft, and also add things to spice it up once in a bit, cause it’s slowly getting boring, BUT I do say say slowly. (Also expected dinasours, but there weren’t any, I think it should be added soon) AWSOME gave overall!

Seems unfinished. This doesn’t (yet) live up to it’s potential. I made all the elements in a matter of a few hours but now I would like to be able to decide what elements are added to my planet, be able to remove them, relocate and add more- ie actually design the planet. I thought that was the point of the game?

Every character in the update is a man. They added new content to this game, but in it every single character except the helpless, captured princess is a man. All of them. I think there was one singular person of colour, and he was also a man. Is the entire team on this cis white men????? Try harder

critical bug. When I got the "congratulation you got all 138 elements..." screen, I couldn't get out, no back, next or continue button, no other choice but to force quit the game. Also, after I restarted the game the Evolution + mode is blocked because says I only have 100/138 elements discovered but I do have all 138.

Cool new features BUT. As a player who finished the old Doodle God games, this game feels like a downgrade. I really appreciate the stylish visuals and animations, they’re really adding up to the immersion of the game. However, there are much less elements now. The game lets me discover a vampire and a futuristic city at the same time. I’ll be waiting for the future updates.

Good game. Really good game, I have seen many games like this but this is the best so far. I will used to believe that doodle god was one of those games that were boring and took months to even get a good achievement, but know I learned that this is a very amazing evolution game.

Creative. I love how you are always being creative and it’s a great game to create so many things and put them on your own earth and you have different ideas and you can use the hint button to help you when you get stuck

Fun. Pretty fun. Can be a bit frustrating when you’ve tried a combination only to try again later and it works- possibly due to the ability to drag elements or whatever to each other which can be done by mistake. Still worth playing.

Good can’t wait for the next update. I find this very fun but I wish they could hurry up on the updates, yes I know game developers have to work hard to make updates but it would be nice for them to add the quest and more things to make

I keep restarting. So when i got the game i spent 2 days finishing everything in it but when i opened the game the next day all of my progress reseted so i completed it the second time and every 2 mins it keeps telling me your not signed in to iCloud but my score is still there i check my load saves and there’s only one that was started today so overall the game is fun but i will never play it again because of the saves

Just as fun as a remember. Only problem is I have finished everything there is currently on the game, but the game-center trophies I still have hidden trophies . Now I haven’t bothered to look these up, but one of the trophies is “unlocked 20 elements” and it says its still locked. Yet I have the trophies for unlocking 30, 40, 50, 60 etc. So how is it I don’t have the 20 one?

The only playable game in the series.. The rest of the games in the series are pay to play garbage. Since arcade does not allow micro transactions, this game does not try to stump you and offers helpful modes (graying out dead-end elements, for instance) that would otherwise have cost money. I did exhaust all the elements after maybe an hour of playing but it felt much more satisfying than any of the other doodle games.

👍. This game is a good game because it teaches you a little bit of what life in past was like and how it evolved. You can make different kinds of things by combining two things that you already have.

Visually stunning, brings back memories but. So far really enjoying the ease and simplicity of this game. It’s visually stunning and I think they have done a great job. I only have one tiny little issue… The frame rate. It will be mostly a bit choppy but still very detailed. I’m more than willing to sacrifice level of detail for improved performance. If you were a fan of the original game, I think you’ll like this. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this and downloaded it without hesitation. Definitely a keeper and looking forward to (hopefully) performance improvements. Great job y’all for reimagining one of my fav apps on the ipod from years ago!! (iPhone 11 Pro Max)

Good game. I love this game and how you can make your own world and people . I love that I can make trees and animals but it is sometimes confusing how you can create things. Like how you make the huts and lizards, there is to much elements for the first level I say to much . There is like 156 elements in the first level . Developer Responded. Tried to edit my original review, but it wasn’t loading. After mentioning the abundant and irritating cut scenes after every new element, the developers updated the game and gave us the option to opt out! I’m so thrilled!!! Now, for more elements! XD

More things added. I was wondering are when the game going to be update soon so more elements to made or quests be added. Because I really enjoyed the game, but I reached the end already I’m just waiting for stuff to be added to the game so I can continue playing

Needs more content.. I first played this game almost a year ago, and yet episode 3 still hasn’t come out! I’m fine with all of these events and stuff, but I’d much prefer to continue the main campaign. Still a fun game, just irritating that the campaign hasn’t been updated.

Fun game. This game was a lot of fun, definitely worth the download. Super creative concept and the design is fantastic. My only complaint is that it is too short. I see that there is some game play “coming soon” and I’ll keep the app on my phone to see what comes next but I wish I had more to play now.

Good but too short. The game is fun and pretty addictive but on a day where I had nothing to do I got through the entire thing in like two hours. It needs to be way longer and while it says there is more content coming soon, based on my previous experience with mobile games “soon” could mean years. Hopefully these devs are competent and add more content soon as well as often

"Mister" Creator? Enough already.. Every time he says "Come on, Mister Creator" I want to punch something. And he says it a LOT. No way to change that dialogue in settings - but really, why didn't they just make it "Come on, Creator"? So sick of these breaking the fourth walls games addressing players - YOU, not your player character - as male. A perfectly good game, with a major irritant built in. It's 2021. Women play games. Can we stop assuming all gamers are male already?

Translation need improvement. Just started playing this morning and so far enjoying it. But do you know the Chinese translation is corrupted and only boxes are shown? It didn’t ask what language I want in the very beginning and just go straight to 囗囗囗囗

Done?. I have played everything there is to offer in this game, and it feels incomplete. A small message when you’ve run out of content to achieve other than “more game modes coming soon” would be nice. Kinda feels like I wasted my time, I took very little from this game. It was fun while it lasted and I look forward to more but it’s disappointing to finish a game without any validation from the creators. It is what it is though

Crashes A Lot. It’s an alright game. Cool concept. But the other reviews are pretty much spot on. The game crashes a lot and really all you do is just button mash all the things you’ve discovered together until you eventually find something. Not much actual thought CAN go into it. A bird and a house makes a turkey. Why would a bird and a house ever make a turkey? It’s a time killer until it eventually crashes and that’s about it.

Meh. So it seems like they really came out with a partially formed game, which is a bad idea. Pretty much all you’re doing is swiping two items over over and over and over until you figure out that you made a match. It’s a bit mindnumbing, and none of the challenges are opened, so I can’t see that I will keep this on my phone very long. Update: deleting this. It’s actually really repetitive and feels utterly useless. I liked the blasphemous angle, as I’m non-religious, but still can’t get down with the lack of gameplay.

In a World….. In a world where Morgan Freeman plays Doodle God is where you’ll find hours of fun! Wow, did this game pull me in…I’ve had this game loaded on my IPad for a few months and never opened it. Then I opened it ~annnd~ hours later I’m writing this five star review. The developers did a fantastic job with this game, hats off to you folks for creating a fun way to learn about the elements. Well done!

This game is AWESOME!. The only thing I would recommend is an option to design your own world with the elements you have created so like you can have a utopia with no monsters or a spooky planet full of ghosts but anyway this game is really fun and I can’t wait for more updates

Classic, but a battery drainer. Played doodle god back when it was on flash, was excited for this on arcade. And it’s great, but please put in an option to turn off the 3D globe scenes, it really cranks up battery drain, which is weird for such a mechanically simple game.

it’s the same as the og doodle god. it’s the same as the original doodle god but the animation of the newly created elements gets annoying pretty quick. Edit: the devs made a new feature to turn off the animations if you don’t like them so from what i see it’s pretty good

Give us a content update. Ok its great that your fixing you game and all but after you finish the game theres no reason to keep playing and all your updates have been bug fixes give us some new content or something to give us something to do because right now theres no reason to play

Cute, but what's the point?. So from the preview I thought you unlocked stuff and progressed to a Sim world. Full disclosure- I never played any old school versions of this game. Before the developers chime in asking me to download the most recent update, let me say I did confirm I am currently running the most recent version. I do software support for a living, so that's not the issue here. I am having the same issue a lot of other reviewers are having. I am stuck in creating elements over and over and over. It's really frustrating. I would like to progress to something.... anything else. If you tell me "congrats! You've found all the elements" that leads me to believe I get to move on to something else. But no- I'm taken right back to continue making more of the exact same elements. It's a cute game, but gets real boring real quick.

Fun and nostalgic!. The game is fun and is a great nod to its predecessor! I finished the 138 combinations in a few hours. I’m hoping new content will be available soon! Game doesn’t save. I have played this game before it was moved to the arcade. This game doesn’t save properly. I make 120 elements then go back to play later & I only have 112 elements. The big problem is now I don’t remember the combinations used to make those elements. This means I have re make many elements before I can move forward. Sad.

Like, Why???. So, I began this game and liked it, but then I realized it seems pretty unrealistic! 😒Like, JUST HOW does a book and a laser create a CD?!?! 🙄I guess the book in info and the laser creates the CD, but really people? Really? I also two bad words, the “S” one and the “D” one! 😠😠😠 THIS GAME IS RATED 4+ PEOPLE!!!! 😤😤Other than that, the game has great graphics and wonderful gameplay. Won’t save progress?. I love Doodle God in all its forms, but this Arcade version is beyond frustrating. I make all the things in the beginning, get to the void, make some more things … great! But why won’t it save my progress once it brings up the “leaderboard”? I know I’ve still missed connections, I’d like to go find them, not start over at square one! There should be a separate button for “Start Over”. Why do I have to start completely over for any “coming soon” content? Why can’t I build on what I have?

Best merge game I’ve played yet.. I’ve played the alchemist games, and others of this nature, but this is my favorite. The combos feel more logical and the UI makes it less overwhelming. Plus I love how everything ends up on the little planet so you can see it all. Great game.

Great game but needs more levels. Great game easy to get into and make you think but it needs more levels. I know it’s on PC but I’d rather play on my phone. But i know it won’t be as in depth but I can only hope please please please make more levels

Very fun but. I have 2 critiques. 1. When I first created the nuke, it crashed my game and I lost my last couple of elements. Funny and ironic, but it is a crash and I don’t think it was intentional. 2. I wish you could turn off cutting you to the planet after every new element, at the very least in evolution+ where you have to create all elements you’ve already done if you completed evolution. Very fun though.

10/10 great app!. Something you have to know before getting this is you have to think outside the box. It can get frustrating sometimes but you just have to know to take breaks. Otherwise it’s a great game and I definitely recommend it👍👍😀😀❤️❤️😎😎

Need to fix the saves. I got this game yesterday since I used to play the original when I was younger and so I played for a little while before turning it off and going to bed. Upon waking up in the morning to try to play again the game decided to delete my entire save and start me over from the beginning undoing all the time I spent on it before. Fix the game and then maybe I’ll play it again

Meh. Have always loved the doodle god games. This one takes the cake, super cool animation that definitely fits the Apple Arcade vibes. Only downside, after a couple of days you’ll be caught up and waiting for the next holiday event. They’re great, and an awesome time killer, but the events are seldom enough that it kinda ends up just being a background app to check every couple of months.

I love this game. However I really feel like the game is missing something and it makes for a short playing experience. I see the desktop version of the game and I really hope they import more of the reactions into the game. I download it on the premises of hoping to be like the desktop version, that I saw a YouTuber playing. But overall the game is pretty and I enjoy the puzzles and hope that you add more

Phenomenal. Accustoming new graphics, new visuals, more levels and Morgan Freeman as the narrator..I’ve played this game since the first one came out. And I’ve always loved it. Seeing this version debut has me happy that for once a game is evolving (no pun intended) into a good direction. I thank the creators of this game for allowing everyone a opportunity to create for themselves. You guys keep up the good work!👍🏻

Couldn’t get anymore boring 😒. Doodle God is probably the saddest game Arcade has made. The game’s concept is basically merging different elements together in hopes of creating something else. That’s all. Wait, that’s all!? Yes. Doodle god (as the game itself) is probably worse than standing for 5 hours straight with no food/drink and no entertainment. But they do have something in common: they are both boring and a waste of your time. I highly recommend NOT playing this game because of the stupid concept itself. -Matthew

Ugh I love it so much.. I was sad when I first started playing cause the update with the challenges and additional levels hadn’t happened yet but were “coming soon”. It was so worth the wait. I would check from time to time seeing if an update was there and today I decided to check and yaayyy it’s here!

It’s ok but…. It’s kinda hard I’m at 84 but I can’t go without use ing a hint and I won’t try to give up you know and I rlly personally think it would be a good game to learn science and it’s really cool and fun. Maybe even if they don’t like science it mite work for them and I am a really good fan of science it’s really interesting and I’m just saying I personally like science you don’t have to but this is kinda a way to fix that

Good game in the series but has issues.. Nice narration and love the world that comes to life. Unfortunately finished the first part of the game super fast but it won’t mark as complete. It says there are 8 non unique combinations left and 3 unique combinations but there aren’t and even the hint system doesn’t work anymore because there are no more combinations.

Pretty good. It’s amazing that their remastering doodle god, and expanding upon it. But the only thing that I don’t like about this one, but was good about the old one, is that you cannot disable repetition. I am always trying to make something new but I always get stuck because the animation is telling me something I’ve already made.

So sexist. First of all when I got the hunter it was a girl. When I got to the planet it was a man same thing with all the other woman. Next this game is super raciest when I got the wizard he was black and on the planet he was white!!!!!! I get super mad with this stuff. This game is so boring too five min go by and you’ve almost gone to sleep. And the men get to make it all too the men make fields and pots do the women do it too? No I hope the creators now know how bad their game is. And this is me asking kindly please update your game to make it less racist and sexist.

Never been better. All the other doodle god games sucked because of ads, but when you remove the adds and combine that with hints that don’t automatically do anything, you get the new and improved doodle god game!

Engaging and entertaining. An excellent addition to Apple Arcade. I’ve completed everything available and am looking forward to future updates and additions to the game. One thing I’d like to be able to do is have the option to restart the challenges if I want to play them again for fun.

One of my favorite mobile games ever!. I used to play doodle god when it first came out. It was the game that didn’t leave my App Library. So far, I’m just as impressed; if not more so with the quality of this game. Solid game! Thanks devs! Fantastic job!

Fun but come on and update!. Fun way to pass the time but come on man the content takes like twenty minutes and it’s good but now we’re sitting here for weeks waiting on an update. I’ll still give five stars because the game is fun.
