It’s not working. the widget isn’t working at all in iOS 14

improvement ideas. Hi developers please make a smallest widgets with nothing but the play pause skip actions since that’s what this app is for and the album art does not refresh anyways. Also if you can make the tap action to be more seamless that will be great though I understand that’s where the iOS limitation came from but it straight up doesn’t work 50% of the time. Overall I’m thankful this app exists so I can play/pause from homescreen. I’ll change my rating if this thing gets improved.

Finally!. I rarely rate apps but man this is EXACTLY what i wanted when widgets came out. the ability to have images as backgrounds is such an amazing needed feature. it really ties in a whole concept if you need it. I hope the devs will continue to update the app as it is one of the best music widget apps on the app store. such a hidden gem fr.

Better than Apple default music widget. I had a lot of issues first but after rebooting and learning I am totally into it now 🥳👌🏻🥇

Doesn’t work. This app doesn’t work, like at all. You can’t skip songs or pause them by tapping the widget it’s just a picture. Don’t wasn’t you time or money on this trash

needs fixing!!. Why doesn’t it auto refresh when the song changes? It’s a nice app, but it’s super annoying bc I only bought it because Spotify's widget doesn’t show you which song is playing. pls fix this 😭😭😭

Very glitchy on iOS 15.1.1. So this widget has the potential to be awesome but sadly just can’t deliver. Here are the glitches I experience practically every time I use the widget. 1. Many times the play button just doesn’t work, it glitches weird and trys to pull up a screen and shuts down instantly, looks bad almost like opening an app and closing it. Oh and then it still doesn’t play. 2. Album art often times doesn’t show up, or is delayed to the last song playing instead of the current one. 3. Clicking the widget should open the music app, but instead it glitches and opens and closes some kind of app, same glitch as described above in 1.

Good app. It does what I need to in Apple Music with pausing, playing, skipping, and playing previous song. There seems to be an issue with refreshing what song is playing and the app quickly opens and closes when taped for an action but very helpful and good customizability.

Still freezes. Very nice when it works

The widget won’t change with the song it’s so dumb When a new song is on the widget shows the old song and you have to enter the application for it to update, also if you won’t enter the app the widget will show the new song only after the new song has ended and another song is on Pretty much a wast of time and money

Blur Option. 😭😩 noooooo I love this widget. But I loved the blur affect on the album art for the small widget. Can this be an option made to the widget?

Really worth the money. Greatly functioning widget, cool features doing what it can do, incredible technology department. These creators are on the ball and understand customer wants. It was a bad app at first, but with updates like these it’s worth it.

Cool Idea doesn’t work. If this app was 100% functional, or even 50% it would be totally worth it, unfortunately pretty much none of the features update/work. Stuck on one song, doesn’t update even when force refreshed. Re-added the widget multiple times, still doesn’t work.

Great given the constant improvements and the fact that ios 14 just came out. At first the interface was a little laggy and defective but over time it got much better and i really appreciate the fact that the developer is active in responding to criticism and updating the app. Only request i have is if there was an option to slide through the songs but other than that it works great. Definitely worth the dollar for me

not great. i don’t really like the appearance of the widget of the blurred album in the background. i also don’t like how you have to actually click on the widget for it to update what you are listening to.

Lots of potential. Has great potential, I love how the developers are working to improve this app constantly. The things that bug me the most is how the song will not change on the widget unless you manually tap on it. Also how if you try to play/pause/skip etc. it takes you into the app. Hopefully these things will be fixed soon, keep up the good work!

Very buggy. I love the app? But the widget is completely broken wont show the song or album art like its supposed to? Even refreshed the app and still nothing

It never Displays what’s playing on The widget. It's always just black. whats the point if it would do what's it's supposed to do. Pass on this app.

Very nice. I love the idea of we being able to interact with the widget as well as the app giving us the top songs that are playing

Good Update but.... This update is great and fixes a lot, but I would love to see the ability to use a photo as a custom background. This would be amazing and would make a lot of people happy, as a lot of people are customizing their home screens and I know would love to keep their themes the same. Love the app tho!

Unlimited loading, black widget. I use applemusic and this widget shows black screen, there is unlimited loading in app as well.

Pretty good👌🏻. It’s a pretty new app so I know there will be improvements but, my only problem is the widget doesn’t update the song when it changes songs unless I tap the widget then it updates. Kinda annoying but everything else is fine I guess.

Lacks everything for the reason I bought it. I only bought this for the widget. And the widgets are really messed up. And the custom widget that says it lets you pause and play does not work. It bugs out when you try to press on it. And it doesn’t pause or anything

Not sure about the “positive” reviews.... Shows song playing at the time but if i skip, widget doesnt sync or update to next song, it just shows first played song and the controls do nothing. Tapping anywhere on widget sends me back into app. Skip? Next? Pause? Play? The widget either flickers or maximizes into app. What’s the point of this app again? Update: Got a dev’s reply... Deleted app. I’ll just stick to the stock Notification Center player. Thought your app will bring something new to the table and I was sorely mistaken.

Disappointed.. I’m very confused cause the first time i used a widget it would be so slow and wouldn’t show the song I was currently playing, it would only show the first song I played the first time I added the widget and wouldn’t change. I deleted the widget and went to add it again to see if it would change at all and work better, but now instead it’s not showing anything. It’s now only a black widget

Love the app, but needs work. I got this app and so far it works pretty although a few things need work. -The widget seems to open and close the app whenever it needs to do anything. I have not seen this with other 3rd party widget apps, hopefully it can be fixed -The background color goes completely black if the transparency is set low, I thought it would show the background wallpaper on my phone -A minor thing but it is very slow to update album artwork and track/artist names Hopefully these will be resolved and make this great widget app even better!

Room for improvement. I love the idea behind this app it does what I want it to, but doesn’t always do it correctly. It lets me pause and skip with a widget on my Home Screen through iOS 14. However if I open an app that plays any sound and then I get off that app and press play on my widget it won’t play, I have to swipe up from my control center and continue playing it through that. And another issue is when skipping songs the picture and title of the song doesn’t always update to what song your actually hearing which is kind of a let know. But once those issues are solved I definitely will give this app a 5 star!

Blurred album colors don’t reach ends of widget. I like this widget so far, only one I’ve found that you can use actions with the widget Only problem I’ve found is when I use album cover art as the background color, it doesn’t fill the entire widget, there are bars on each side that are a different color - if there’s any fix for this let me know!! Would also be cool if eventually there was a partially transparent background option so it half blends into background wallpaper

Exceptional but need more improvements. I just purchased the app as my concern this is best for stock music app interactive widgets! But please improvements needed such as if you are to play song it opens the app!! Although there’s an option for tap to close but still with iOS motions it’s looks weird! Also cannot track album cover while plying song from Apple Music. Otherwise the app has its potential. Would be really appreciated if there more customization options and smoother experiences come in next update m! Thank you

Works Great. I had some difficulties with it at first because it stoped showing the album art but I just deleted it downloaded it again and it worked again. I love how you can edit what’s on the widget. For the medium and large size widgets you can edit it to have play/pause, rewind 30secs and forward 30 secs. I also love how you have the option to “Close on tap” which basically doesn’t redirect you to the app when you press on it. Overall, love it.

How do I set up a widget?. Hello, I downloaded this app because i have been searching for a music widget for a while now. I saw a few good reviews and it looked pretty reasonable. Maybe I’m not very smart, but i can’t figure out to set up a widget. I can customize widgets, and do everything else. But I can’t set up a widget on my home screen, and i can’t find any instructions for it. Can someone help me out? Thanks.

broken?. i want paying attention and accidentally deleted it instead of another app now the widget is black and wont work no matter how many time i refresh, turn off my phone or reinstall it.

trash don’t waste ur money. everything glitched out in ten seconds and i could only play songs from the recommended playlist, not my own playlists 😔

50% useful for me. Definitely a great idea. Disappointed that when you play a podcast nothing happens. Just continues to show the art for whatever music was playing prior.

meh. paid $1.50 and then i connected it to my spotify and it doesn’t even show up on my home screen, i also refresh the widget and it still doesn’t

Great Idea, Needs small tweak. Great idea for an app, although songs on the widget aren’t refreshed automatically which sort of defeats the purpose. Fix this and it would be perfect, possibly add more features to the app considering you do have to pay for it👍🏽

Update needed. Please update it so that when you pause or skip a song, it pauses immediately without taking you to the musicview app. Also, the ability to customise how the widget looks on the home screen would be great. Other than that good app!

it works. but the interface could be better. i suggest a wizard from start to end to create a custom widget

Bright future ahead!. This app looks great for what it is! Only thing I would recommend is introducing automatic updating of the song playing. Saves me from tapping the widget everytime the song changes haha. Otherwise, a fantastic app that I am looking forward to using in the long term!

Review. It’s a great app but I think you should make the app so that it updates when the music changes rather then me always having to go into the app every time the song changes

Bugs and not clear. The app has too many bugs (I do have the latest version and I updated ) , when u place the widget it shows as a dark widget , to connect to Apple Music is a bit complicated and tricky also every time u swap or change a song it open the app .it doesn’t update the song when u change it on Apple Music. Overall too pricey for what it offers. Written from an iPhone 12 Pro.

Could use a bit of work. I love the way the widgets look on my Home Screen however the song that is displayed is not always the song that is playing which is a bit disappointing.

Doesn’t refresh. Doesn’t refresh when playing I have to open music view then go back home for it to refresh But would be a great app if this small bug gets fixed

Amazing design however lacking functionality. I love the design on this app, however very very buggy and in need of performance updates rather than features. The controls on the widget rarely work and consistently bug out. I understand it’s a new app so hopefully this can be resolved soon as I will love to continue using it, however in its current state, it is merely decoration on the Home Screen, and not functional at all. I will recommend this app to my friends so they can purchase once these issues have been resolved.

Keeps disconnecting from Spotify. Every time exit the app I need to reconnect to Spotify to keep playing music. Very annoying

Don’t bother. You have to connect to Spotify through the app every time you play music for the widget to work. Waste of money and inconvenient.

Widgets won’t show. I just downloaded this app today but when I add them to my home screen they just come up black, I’ve tried to refresh them and I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app but it still won’t work, is there anything else I can do?

Why charge money for a broken widget?. Why would you make the app cost money when all actions are delayed, rarely work (even with Spotify premium) and whilst the app is so obviously in such a useless state?

Didn’t allow widget. I paid for the app connected and everything and it didn’t even give me any widgets tried everything!!

Did not work. Waste of money, tried connecting Spotify but it is not allowing me to login, it keeps saying disconnected. Its a paid app and does not work

Lied about a transparent background. Bought widget with the expectation of being able to get a transparent background on the widget allowing me to see the background like the first image.

Great App, Could Become Better. This is a great app and works really well and even started refreshing on its own from time to time when the song changed, and I’m aware the widget isn’t allowed to perform actions from the Home Screen, however it wont let me save when I want to edit the them which is annoying but other than that it’s amazing.

Excellent App with Potential. Loving this app so far - the ability to see my music at a glance via the widget is great. Updates allowing for better synchronisation with the current track would be amazing and the ability to switch songs be able to be done without entering the app. Currently when hitting pause, play or skip it opens the app rather than activating the action via the widget. Happy and excited for future updates :)

Getting there. Honestly I wouldn’t spend the money again if I could go back in time just because it does not automatically change when the next song comes on but hopefully that can be fixed and then I think it would be a great app. Another thing is I can’t use the skip or pause buttons on the widget and it just opens the app but as I said above bright future just needs a few little tweaks tho

definitely a work in progress. the player itself is clean and simple but, the only reason why i got it was for the widget, and it was terribly slow. the music displayed wouldn’t change unless i went in and forced refresh, and it’s frustrating when you go into skip or change the song, it just redirects you into the spotify app. the widget function is brand new so obviously there’s some improvements to be done, i might try redownloading in a few months time.

Nice widget, just wish it would auto refresh. The app UI is nice and very easy to use, the only downside to the app is that it does not auto refresh when a song is done, id have to manually tap on the widget to make it work unlike another app (WidgetPod) that updates automatically. Hopefully auto refresh comes out soon

absurd. My music isn’t even showing up :( it worked for a few days and then it stopped like wth. My friend is also having an issue with it where the music is blurry. Very upset! please fix it. Thank you

No music showing. Whenever I play a song, nothing shows up in widget

Barely worth your $. This is the only third party widget app out there for music, and you’re able to customize widget to the colours you want to fit the aesthetic of your Home Screen which is pretty nice. However, in terms of function, it’s pretty useless. Every time I try to skip or pause songs using the widget, it just glitches and doesn’t do anything. Sometimes it doesn’t even refresh when a new song is played. So if you just want a music widget that looks nice, then this is a good app for that. But I’d say if they fixed these issues it would actually be worth your money.

Best out right now for spotify, but needs work.. I enjoy the speed of the app and it’s functionality compared to the other widgets for spotify right now, however, it would be nice if when you changed the song the app didn’t open and close. I enabled close on tap but it still somewhat opens and then closes. The whole widget would be a lot more pleasing if it didn’t open and close the app when trying to change songs.

It won't let me save my widgets. The save button is blurred if I make any changes, it won't let me save.

Work in progress. Its a good app, just needs some bug fixes. Like when I press anything on the actions tab (ex change to next song) within the widget, the application opens and closes really quickly before it actually changes the song. Its a split second frame but can kind of become a bother and looks ugly. Ive also tried to set the largest widget to not blur the album cover but its not saving the setting. Ive settled with the medium sized one but for a paid app, if should have full functionality of features.

So far, it's doing good. After reading the reviews with this app, I was quite wary but so far, the app is working exactly how it's intended to work. And it's definitely better than TuneTrack, which is basically unresponsive. I just wish the widgets had at least the Spotify logo or something in them, because that would make them look better than they already do. But so far, so good! Worth the $1.

WONDERFUL APP AND WONDERFUL SUPPORT TEAM. I was very disappointed when Spotify did not have a widget for the new iOS 14 update. then I found musicview and i’ve been having a blast ever since. Each update comes with more fun features. anytime I had an idea or request I would message the developer and he would have the ideas in the next update. he really listens to his users. I love the app and even when spotify does get a widget I will continue to use musicview. it gives my phone an aesthetic that I love!!! would recommend to any music lover.

Amazing. It’s great and nice it could be better but it’s very good considering what limits Apple set for widgets plus unlike an other App used for Spotify widget it doesn’t stay empty when something wasn’t playing so just a little extra thing to spice up homescreen

Pretty good. Just switched to Apple from android and was surprised to see that Spotify didn’t have a widget to control music from. This app is good for that and only 99 cents. Two problems with it for me tho. I wish the music auto refreshed on the widget without me having to tap it every time. I use the small widget and like to see the album cover of the song I’m listening to but it’s annoying having to refresh it manually to see the next song. Second problem is there are ads that you can’t X out at the bottom. It often blocks me from choosing a new custom theme I made. I get they need to put ads but I wish you could move it or x it out. Overall good app and I get Apple limits devs on a lot of things so I applaud the devs on this app for making a mor than decent app. I’ll rate 5/5 stars if the above issues could be resolved

Works better with Spotify. Good app but the custom theme widget seems to really only work and refresh with Spotify, not with Apple Music. Would love to see this fixed so it refreshes when I switch services.

No Spotify. It doesn’t work for Spotify for me. Huge disappointment.

Won’t save widget design. The widget works fine with Spotify but whenever I try to customize the widget it won’t allow me to save the design. Fix this and it’ll be 5 stars.

Fantastic Spotify Widget. I’m not sure why all of the major tech sites are promoting TuneTrack for a Spotify widget. I tried it personally and it was buggy, the widget required you to go into the app just to refresh it (defeating the purpose entirely) and you couldn’t even play/pause or skip tracks. MusicView changes ALL of that! Yes, it might cost a buck, but it’s definitely worth it because you get a very well designed customizable widget that works as well as it can for Spotify due to Apple’s restrictions. Way to go, dev! 😃

Just what I needed. Spotify wont make an official widget but this fills that void and adds a widget on your home screen where you can pause and skip songs. Make sure to edit the widget and turn on close on tap and show actions. I wish I could see my complete spotify library in the app so I can choose different albums. Also if you quickly double tap on the widget it will open MusicView even if close on tap is on. Other than that good job thanks for this

Doesn’t work at all. I have Spotify premium and everything it’s on home screen everything and it doesn’t work I press play it opens the widget and doesn’t work from there either don’t waste your money everyone he hasn’t updated the app for months as well so he probably gave up

It works. It was a pain setting up and logging in with Spotify, had to re do it over. And over. And over. And over. And over. And I occasionally have to reconnect and login. But it’s working some which is better than not at all i guess? I look forward to seeing it work better and faster.

Don’t waste your time or money. Pretty much useless now that Spotify has released their own widget. Themes are bogus, they won’t let you save any changes that you customize. Controls don’t work, basically just for looks (when they work, it’s a 30-40 second delay).App is functional maybe 10-15% of the time . All in all pretty crappy.

Awesome Widget!. I appreciate the effort that goes into this, it’s worked great and tries to go beyond apple’s restriction on interactive widgets! Perfect way to display what’s playing on Spotify!

Best at what it does. This is the best widget so far for Spotify. The “refresh” feature makes it great. There are hiccups every so often but I’m sure those will be worked out. My one request is to be able to justify the text on the medium widget when you have a larger image. I’d prefer the text to be justified to the outside of the widget rather than the middle of the widget. As it is right now, it looks asymmetrical when you have a short artist/song title.

help. it doesn’t let me save the widget

There are some bugs. I just got this app maybe an hour ago and I’ve already connected my spotify to it. I put the app as a widget on my Iphone screen and when I play music, it won’t let me hit next or pause it using the widget despite me setting it up to be able to do that. whenever I tap on the widget it seems like it wants to open the app but instead it closes immediately.

GET IT NOW!. Was skeptical of getting due to there being no reviews, but it’s amazing! Such a life savor for Spotify players that want the widget for their IOS 14 Home Screen. Overall, amazing. Doesn’t glitch, you just refresh your widgets after downloading and there it is! Cheap and efficient. Love it.

Good app. Idk why ppl keep giving it low ratings, it’s so much better than TuneTrack because it actually updates per track (most of the time). Sometimes it’s buggy and will take time to load, but most of the time it works. I do have spotify premium and judging from the reviews, the interface doesn’t work for them because of the fact that they don’t have premium The setting I have on is show actions and close on tap. If you don’t have close on tap on, it’ll redirect to the app everytime

Hell yeah!. With TuneTrack being down, and this only being $1 I figured I’d try it out. The widget works great! You just have to click and hold to adjust preferences. Also when selecting which widget if you want the smallest one to work with play/pause features swipe to the very last widget option. I have Spotify premium so no issues with songs not updating. Great job!!

New Update goes Hard🔥🔥🔥. The ability to further customize widgets is absolutely amazinggggg. Still room for improvement of course but at the moment it’s the best. Can’t wait to see how much this app grows. My only suggestion would be to add a transparent color, so people could choose not to have a background, or adjust the pattern of multiple color gradients, or maybe allow photos to be selected as the background. The more often you can send reliable widget refreshes the better, maybe trigger a widget refresh every time a new song plays. This app is becoming so easy to use and it offers more customization than most widget apps, AND it can control your Spotify. Awesome
