Bluetooth connects mini connect takes over. Since the last update, every time my Bluetooth connects the mini connect app opens and takes over. I can no longer use my apple car play nor can I delete the device of my known devices. I know it isn’t a problem with the car because my daughters connect their phones and apple car play works perfectly. I was also able to disconnect/forget their devices but not mine. I think the app is useless now as I rarely “vent” my car and never lose it.

Mini of Peabody. Mini of Peabody is the most courteous, professional and accommodating dealership from sales to service. The Mini of Peabody family truly cares about there customers by going above and beyond satisfying motorists requests. My Mini Copper Countryman S saved my son’s life when he was driving and struck by a deer. My Mini did it’s job by absorbing the entire impact; from the antler slicing the door to the deer body cracking the headlight and forcing it head on into a utility pole. My Mini started to smoke but the emergency system still responded and protected my son from harm. I always loved my Mini and now I love it even more. I traveled around the world over 4 times in my Mini. Now, it’s a parts donor and I had the pleasure to custom order a new Mini. Forever grateful to Mini!

Would be perfect. Everything is cool and all but it’s missing one key feature. I can’t make my cars payments on here. It would be super convenient to have everything all on one app. I’ve been able to with other manufacturers apps but I can’t here and have to go though the hoops of opening a new page logging in and getting where I need to go. Please include the option to make payments on this app in the future please

Mini “Connected” will never connect.. This app gives me a headache. I have never been able to successfully add my vehicle. Today I decided to try again, but this time after asking me my state, it gives me an error message saying “service currently unavailable”. This app is a joke. I would love to know why there’s even an option on my cars display screen for Mini Connected, given this app is absolutely worthless. Wish I was able to experience all the cool features that are advertised with it.

Magical little car!. Driving our mini is a treat in itself. Aside from its wonderful aesthetics beautifully designed vehicle, it corners fantastically is easy to park goes from 0 to 60 in no time it’s quiet and charming. We get compliments all the time when we’re out in about. Especially in the British racing green which was originally Irish by the way! From an original car race in County Kildare, Ireland. 💚

Helpful but questionable updates. I’ve enjoyed this app tremendously but as changes have been made, the experience has become more frustrating. Seems like basic QA isn’t being done before releases. Most recently, the app themes aren’t being retained when you log out or when you reload/restart. I also find that some of the UI changes, such as moving vehicle status down a level, don’t seem very user friendly. Generally a good companion app for status information.

Only one small flaw. I have the Cooper SE (EV) and the app is fantastic. Only bug is the charging complete push notification somehow violates the “Focus” settings (e.g. do not disturb). Since charging often completes in the middle of the night but you probably don’t want to be awakened, it can be frustrating. Despite that, love the app.

Updated to add… no functionality. The app is regularly updated, so I guess that is great. The app does nothing though to improve or even add to my driving experience. I have a 2019, and even a year ago when I bought it the app basically did nothing besides let me make appointments at the dealership. Multiple updates later and that’s still the only function that does anything. I don’t know if this works better for models that are loaded with all the options, but my All4 PHEV is higher than the base model trim and this app is worthless. If you are a JCW trim level driver, you probably do things already that are beyond this app. Hey Mini, how about an app that actual does something useful for the majority of drivers with cars that are 6 years old or newer (just as a starting point)? Every update I cross my fingers and get nothing.

If you lost the app on your pre-2019…. Here is a navigation solution since Mini won’t tell you this, and will not fix the problems the loss of their app caused for people who have navigation systems. First, look up your trips using Siri via Apple Car Play so it accesses the Maps app on your phone, not using the mini assistant nor the mini nav screen. (Hold the button on your steering wheel longer to get Siri instead of the mini assistant.) After Siri locates your destination on the display, there will be a small icon that looks like a paper with an arrow next to the destination name; pressing that will give an option to transfer it directly to your mini navigation. Then it will use your car navigation for the trip: heads up display, etc. as if you set the destination through the mini navigation. Super easy, and routes are arguably more accurate than the mini navigation. You can pre-plan trips and save them in your iPhone’s Apple Maps to pull them more quickly, if that is your need.

Not much functionality. My Volvo and Mazda app allows me to remote start the car. This one doesn’t, I knew this before I purchase my 2024 Countryman Iconic. However, The fact that it doesn’t notify you of unlocked doors or open windows in this day and age at this price point is disheartening. It’s bad enough my mini doesn’t provide an audible lock unlock tone, but the app should be able to send you basic notifications of unlocked doors and open windows. Vehicle costing $10k less provide more in their apps.

Not the best in its current state. There is absolutely no reason a 2020 countryman should not be able to have semi/full functionally within this app. I can’t see the gas, I can’t see the mileage, I can’t see anything that the previous gen app provided with my 2016 countryman. Giving you 1 star based on layout and design but -4 stars for lack of features for a 2020 countryman. Would love for you to make those features available for 2020 models. When that comes I be more than happy to give you 5stars because you’d 1000% deserve it.

I love this app!. It’s great having all the information pertaining to my Mini right here in one place. Features are useful, and easy to navigate. I’m new to mini, so having the ability to search through the manual, allows me to find answers about my vehicle’s functionality on the fly. I like that I can see upcoming scheduled services, the status and location of my car, as well as the ability to lock and unlock remotely right from the app. Nice job Mini.

Replaced a Working App With a Non Working App. You removed the old app and replaced it with this one. I have a 2017 with Mini Connected XL and you’ve removed my ability to connect to my car with the app. A feature that I spec’d and paid for when I bought the vehicle new. I understand if I don’t have the parts and software to connect to this app, but why totally kill the old one? It worked and was very useful. Please restore this functionality or allow the old one to live on so that customers who paid for the low level connectivity the app provided (fuel level, navigation integration, etc. ) can still be used. This seems shortsighted and not at all inline with how mini treats its customers. This is my second mini, and possibly my last. Forced obsolescence is not the foundation of a loyal customer base.

My mini. Having the ability to pre-condition my Mini just blows me away. The temperature is set to that temp we turned off the mini after a ride to wherever. To tell me at a glance where my charging status is really nice to let me know what range I have right now and to alert me when my charging has attained a 100% is off the chart. The End Tom McCoy🤓

Honestly checks all of my boxes except for one thing. Everything about the app is perfect except for not having the option to REMOTE START. Being able to ventilate the car is cool but kinda useless for most situations. In the morning I was to let my MINI warm up remotely and this should be be available in all new cars today.

Why screw over current users?!?. It’s nearly impossible to enter an address into the nav with the scroll wheel or voice command, the old app was the most expedient way to enter an address. Given that my new to me late 2017 production 2018 model is one of the left behind models, the nav system has been rendered useless. This is a HATEFUL way to treat your user base, and a glaring omission in understanding who your customers are. Basic software development 101 is understanding what the existing users need, and you as a household name company failed miserably. And without any timeline for when this will be remedied, the glaring lack of respect for MINI owners persists. Fix it.

The app never connects to my vehicle. I have yet to get an answer for this. I’ve owned my car for 18 months now, and yet I have never had the app connect to it. It always times out with a connectivity error. Want is the point of the app then? I was excited, originally, to use the app to change my charging options (mine is the EV) or to precondition my car for departure, but the only place to make those changes is from within the car - this making the app useless. I am so disappointed.

Connectivity issues?. I am “forced” to write a review because the “support” for this app doesn’t exist. This app is for a 2022 Mini Cooper SE. Nobody answers my requests for help. When clicking on the car icon a message saying : “Connectivity issues. Temporarily unable to load this content. Please try again. Retry.” I have been “retrying” again and again for weeks with zero result. I have deleted and reinstalled the app several times, rebooted the IPhone, rebooted and deleted the app at the same time. all with no result. Any idea on what to do to make this app working? My dealership’s “Mini Product Genius Customer Service Rep” has no clues about it. Thank you.

Not all Mini’s shall connect. In my opinion the best Mini App was available for the 2014 models. It was user friendly, playful and provided useful information about your car. Since then they have messed up future versions of the app like this one to include the vehicle software which I thought was great you could watch videos and movies on the display when it was parked. They ruined that too. This app It wont connect with my 2014 and in my newer one simply doesn’t have anything that will enhance your experience or make you glad you are the owner of a Mini, unique among cars. This mini app simply gives you what you already have without it. Need you k is how much fuel you have? Look at your gauge. Need you know what fuel range you have? Turn on your car. Need a navigational map? There are much better options on a cell phone that connect you to commuters at large better than the Mini app such as Waze. If you’re a proud owner of a Mini, this app does nothing to enhance that experience.

App is okay, but don’t attempt to schedule service through it. I have scheduled multiple service appointments through the app only to show up at the dealership and they have no information about my appointments. I have confirmed with the service manager that this happens to many of their customers. They do not recommend making service appointments through the app. I was also told Mini USA is aware of the issue, but has not yet fixed it. You can lock your car remotely with the app though, enjoy!

Wow this app is horrible. When it works it’s ok but it forever disconnects on its own and then I have to go through the whole darned setup again and again and again. You would think logging in with an id and password it would know who I am but nope. Freaking pointless. I hope the tech on my new car works better than this or I’m going to regret buying it.

Useless app!. Recently bought a 2023 Mini Copper S. Successfully paired the app with my car. It is ridiculously slow! Locking or unlocking the car takes forever (almost a minute of circling) if it ever works. 90% of the time it fails to do so. Usually works after 2-3 attempts, which is frustrating. If and if it works, it takes forever for the app to update the car’s status either. I live in NYC and I own an iPhone 14 Pro Max, so it’s NOT the phone, nor the internet connection. This remote functionality is a joke for a $37k car. Get you **** together and fix the issues!

App works great. App works great. Only 3 improvements would be: 1) Faster remote locking and unlocking. Having your partner/friend/kid etc wait outside a locked car is annoying 2) Better confirmation of remote functions actually being completed (because point 1) 3) Does anyone actually use “ventilation”? Would make more sense if they would allow you to put the seat heaters on remotely for pre-heating in winter. Or make it a dual option that does either of the two depending on outside temperature.

It is what it is…. This app works well with my 22 Countryman. Those of your in “older” mini’s (not hating.. I love all mini’s) what are you wanting this app to do for you? Remote start? Summon? I used to have the older mini app with my previous Countryman. Actually , I still do have the app, and I use it from time to time, but only because of that G force thing. Wish they would bring that back. It was kinda neat. CarPlay makes things a little easier as the current mini connected idrive system is a little blah.

Primary and Secondary driver issue. When you first set up the app and add a vehicle you can select if you are the primary or secondary driver. This works fine for multiple drivers. Problem is that if a secondary driver mistakenly selects Primary on setup it boots the original Primary and current Secondary drivers. This is obviously by design. However, there is no way to correct it on subsequent use. For example, a driver who previously selected Primary by mistake is not prompted any longer to select. My daughter selected Primary in error. I had to reset my app and it then removed her. When she went to set up again to select Secondary there was no option for that, so adding the vehicle again removed it from my account. Now we are stuck where only one of us can use the app.

Definition of Frustration. I bought a new SE in Spain and live in Spain. I I downloaded the Mini app from the App Store. The app won’t let me register saying tahtvwe have to go through BMWUSA . When I try to log into the Mini app, I get a message that it wants to connect to BMWUSA.(I am an American). I can not be the very first person to have this issue!! I’ve called 3 different help lines, emailed folks,and still no resolution. Tech support is super slow and confusing….extreme disappointment. UPDATE: Tech support contacted me and the issue was resolved by resetting the country of my Apple App Store (yes, you can do this once you cancel your subscription to AppleTV and enter an address in Spain and a credit card that was issued in Spain). Now you can Reload the Mini app, delete the original one (the one you had downloaded when your store was set to the US) and then register. (Don’t forget to re-subscribe to AppleTV and to reset your App Store back to your home country. ) To MINI: whom to contact and how to contact tech support is very, very confusing. It had to have been designed by Kafka himself. Also, please provide detailed instructions, like I have above, on how to resolve the issue step by step, or walk someone through it over the phone. Better yet, don’t make people go through this 12-step program and make the issue go away. I can’t be the only one with this issue.

The one star was me being kind.. Every few weeks, the app forgets my car. It is an improvement over the previous version that deleted all of my user information every few weeks. Additionally, it doesn't recognize my VIN despite the previous version did. The developers focus on making the app work for model 2020 and later. After much backlash, they found a workable, where you can access the app via a USB cable to connect your car. Here is how it works for me. Every few weeks, the app doesn't recognize my car. I have to re-enter my VIN, wait to be rejected, then connect via USB cable. If I am already connected via USB cable, I have to disconnect and reconnect The app is not compatible with the Mini Cooper image and reputation.

Connectivity Issue. I bought my MINI in Mexico. While I understand that it is possible to connect it through the MINI Mexico app, it is a terrible inconvenience to sign out of my Apple ID and switch my region to Mexico, as I am at risk of losing all of my photos and videos, as well as other data. I would also have to leave my family iCloud; rejoining it would entail unimaginable complications. Making the MINI app universal would solve all of these issues, as it is terribly inconvenient for the user to have to go through all of this when buying a MINI outside of their App Store region. I cannot be the only person with this issue. Make the app universal and have the region selection happen inside the app!

Needs edrive electrical consumption. The app is nice, but isn’t super useful on a daily basis. I home charge my car and manage charging with ChargePoint. I liked the Mini Connected EDrive, but it would not count all journeys. Even better would be a listing of all journeys that had start date/time, duration, kWh used, start outside temperature, distance, average speed, and mile/kWh. Then if this could total up by a date filter or group by week or month, I would be able to better know how factors affect range and be able to more accurately estimate where I can go on a charge.

Charging status doesn’t update!. Recently purchased a 2023 Mini SE. Love the car but the app needs work! I can plug the car into either a level 1 or level 2 charger we have in the garage and the car will charge but the app will not update to reflect the current state of charge! This is essential for an EV. We need to be able to see what the current charge level is without having to go out to the car and check on it every time! We also have both a BMW I4 and a 330e in our home and while using BMWs app which is nearly identical to the Mini app BOTH cars update constantly as the cars are charging. I’m not sure why this is an issue for the Mini app being that it’s the same company. Aside from that the app works well enough. But this needs to be fixed!!

Only for 2018 models ^. This makes absolutely no sense to me. Seems more like a greedy marketing type. Why update an app and allow mini connected to only newer models when older models literally have the capability and screen for mini connected? Everywhere I look on the internet, majority hate the new app. Users are also so disappointed that they cannot use their mini cooper to the full extent because mini connected is only for 2018 and up models! Hope they do something about it, especially for older models.

Lost functionality. Why did you remove the ability to connect and use the Findmate key fobs? I paid for this functionality and would like to use them. It’s like telling me “yeah, your car is a convertible but we don’t support convertible tops anymore so you just have to leave it closed from now on.” Fix this feature!!😡 I paid a significant amount of money for a fully functional car. You marketed these apps as part of the technology of that purchase. I expected it to function.

More bad tech from MINI. My app says it should be updated and when I click on the update now button it takes me to the App Store. However once in the App Store it shows me that I’ve already updated and instead of the download button I get the open button. When I click on open it takes me back to the very same page in the MINI app that says it needs to be updated. UPDATE: the inane answer from the developer is ridiculous. The notification just reappears if you close it! It is impossible to use the app when the notification repeatedly stops you from going any further!

Good app but still need to fix some bugs. Great overall app. Would be great to add more features as others have commented. But one bug that still hasn’t been fixed is the recording of a charge that happens on the last day of a month and the start of a new month. That charge somehow gets lost and doesn’t show up in the charging history.

App crashes everytime. I have a 2012 with mini connected and everytime I open the app and connect the usb the app crashes everytime. It seems that my car begins to recognize it for a second but then the app crashes everytime. I wont recognize the app through Bluetooth yet but I really hope this can get fixed. I’ve also tried to add the vin number manually and it shows the car with a tarp, once I plug in the sun with my vin number inputted, it still crashes. It’s crashing on me with every way I can think of using the app. I really look forward to this being fixed as I enjoy using this app

Is there anything anyone can do at MINI?. I bought a 2013 Clubman s in March of this year. The cars transmission and timing chain failed within just months of owning it. Being able to utilize this app was a very exciting feature and big selling point for me. I was extremely anxious to have features on a oldish car that made it feel like a new model. I have spent countless hours through forums online and at the dealer to no availI but I finally have my answer. I guess it’s my bad for lack of research but still very disappointed. Everything I bought a MINI for is at this point non existent. Hope someone sees this and can make sure something like this doesn't happen to any costumer after me.

Please support older Mini Coopers. Please consider creating an app to support older vehicles. I have a 2012 with Mini Connected and liked the integration of apps through the Connected feature on the car. It would be great to have the Sport Instruments and other features that integrated through the phone and not related to the 3G shutdown. All people connect through their 4G+ phone. Something should be possible to maintain what was available on the previous version/app

I want the old mini app back.. I want the old mini app back. My countryman doesn’t have an antitheft devise so the old app was great when I couldn’t find my car in a big parking lot or parking garage. All I would have to do is open the app and hit the horn button. This new app doesn’t have it. When I purchase my 2022 countryman I download this new app and immediately switched back to the old one because it didn’t have that feature. Now I have to use this new app and I’m not happy ☹️☹️

Great but needs an Apple Watch app. The app works great with the MINI SE - it’s reliable, easy to schedule preconditioning and easy to heat up the car with a tap. It could really use an Apple Watch app so that we can get notifications when charging is finished without having to check the phone. It would also be an extra convenience in checking the car status and in preconditioning.

Going electric. We needed a car that could handle a days worth of driving from our home in the mountains to the city. Didn’t need 300 mile range and wanted something fun to drive. My wife drove the Mini and actually giggled. She is 70 years old:) Said she felt like a teenager again. So happy with the decision. Also had the advantage of working with Harrison at the SLC dealership. Awesome experience!!

Missing lots of features compared to myBMW app. We own a BMW, and recently bought a MINI JCW. The myBMW app has lot more features and functionality compared to the myMINI app. Things like My Trips on the homepage is missing in the MINI app. Cannot check tire pressures under Check Status tab when this is available on the BMW app. Dig deeper, and things like Permissions under user profile, MINI app is missing Marketing Communications tab to opt out of communication. This is available on the BMW app. Why? It’s literally the same app and UI across both the brands but yet MINI app is under featured.

Missing key features. This app is still a downgrade from the old Mini Connected App. Why kill the old app when the new one is still missing features the old one already had? It is also uglier and harder to navigate. And does less for electric Mini Cooper SE owners, which I thought was part of the future of Mini but are being treated like second class citizens here.

What’s going on with this app?. I just bought a 2018 MINI with MINI Connect and it won’t recognize my VIN. Reading the comments it looks like a software issue. I’m hoping my dealership is able to bypass this, as I bought the car so that I could have that feature. I shouldn’t need to plug anything in or Bluetooth. If I’m not able to use this app then the technology package was a waste of money. And that’s definitely going to make me question my purchase..

2018 Mini Clubman. I have gone through several versions of the app since buying my Mini two years ago. It would be helpful if the app still included the function of ding the tags they used to give out with the purchase of a vehicle.

Can’t connect. If I couldprovide a zero rating I would. I’ve been trying to get service for this app for about a year now and no one calls me back. I called the customer service numbers and they keep telling me someone will call me back and no one ever does. Every time I try to connect the app to the car and I put in my state which is Florida, I always get the same message saying that there’s connectivity issues to try again later. I’ve installed uninstalled countless number of times and it still doesn’t work. i’m surprised many would put this app out and then not provide proper service for it.

Not so connected. The previous Mini Connected app worked really great. I loved being able to enter information and jumping into my car and off I would go. Since the new app has been introduced its been changed to 2018 vehicles. This is very aggravating. Yes, I know I have navigation in my car but putting the new information in my phone and syncing the two was SO much more convenient and less of a headache. Please either reinstate the old app or make the new one available for everyone! (My Mini isn’t that old and these features should work) Plus the find my mate doesn’t work. I literally just upgraded my radio/ navigation And now this. FIX THIS NOW!!!!

Won’t update vehicle charge status. I really wish I could rely on the app to tell me what the charging status is on my 2022 Cooper SE. It worked at first but since early Oct 2021 it has been terrible. Currently it shows a 100% charged status (says it was updated from vehicle six days ago) when in reality I am at 28%. Has only updated the charge status once in the last 5 weeks or so. I can’t speak to other features on the app because this is really the only function I see myself using in the app. I certainly won’t rely on it to give me accurate info on closest charging stations if it can’t even connect to my own vehicle to update. Disappointing. It would also be nice if the app could be used by more than one driver. If my partner takes the car, he cannot have the app on his phone. App will only support one driver per vehicle.

Stumbled onto this. This has been a great app so far, I can see how using it to find a lost car in a parking lot would be great! The part about someone being able to find you, not so much! Used it to find where valet had it parked; it was great! The missing car not so much!

App initially did not work with new car and iPhone 13. I love the app now, about 6 weeks into owning a new Mini. On January 7, 2022, I received a new 2022 Mini Cooper all electric hardtop. Beginning on January 10, I let the Mini dealer and MiniConnected know that the app “charging and climate timer” feature was not working. After spending many hours on the phone with the dealer, with MiniConnected, and in the vehicle working on ideas from MiniConnected, the app began working as to this feature about a month later.

Starter battery malfunctioning. Since multiple users are complaining about this online, I’m assuming this starter battery malfunction warning that popped on my app this morning (and not on my Mini SE) is an application issue. Plus I’m seeing new urgent battery warnings today, which supposedly have been shown since March 28th 2023. And since this exact same date and issue is posted on the same online forum by other users, once again app issue! How do you release an update with such basic issues???

Activate the old app again if you don’t support all cars in new app. I am very disappointed MINI. Why would you discontinue the old app that works perfectly and replace it with an app that only covers the latest models? I get that you don’t want to invest into the old app anymore - but it was perfectly fine, so just bring it back and “keep it alive” nobody is asking for new features. But now you cut off all owners of older models. Poor customer care! Cars are not a consumable you replace every year - at least you should not! So please provide the tools as long as the cars are on the streets. By the way: we had several minis since 2010 and were always happy… this is very disappointing!

Buggy. Charging session history has a bug where if you plug in the vehicle on the last day of the month and unplug on the 1st day of the following month, nothing will be recorded. It’s a well-known issue that has been discussed on various online forums but is still not addressed.

Superbe application. Outdated car. I’m so sad. I was excited to use the app but unfortunately my 2018 car is to old to be compatible with the app

Why disabled the old app. MINI disabled the old app and made the new app not complete with the old MINI model. It is ridiculous that MINI forces their clients to buy their new car, otherwise, all functions will be discontinued on the old MINI model, even the 2017 model. I cannot download the navigation information to my car anymore in the future.

Best app. I can not get enough with this app! It’s so easy to work with and so reliable!

Cannot update charging timer. Still does not allow to set a departure time for preconditioning from the app! (Phev).

Almost there.. Nice to see in Canada now. Just need to get the units right. It lists fuel in gals instead of litre. And it says the mileage in mi not km. Would be nice to see the image of our Countryman but the old one never had a correct image either. Please update.

So convenient. I love that I can check the battery anytime. Also great to preheat the car in the winter!!

App getting worse. Every update of the app just keeps getting worse. It doesn’t show the picture of my car on the front screen, just a blanket covered car. Sending remote command to the car such as climatization, unlock doors, flash headlights take 40 seconds to react. Units show in miles in some screens even if my setting is in km. It doesn’t show my consumption details like it did in the previous app. I’m beginning to hate this fun car because of the crappy app. I’m hoping for a miracle on the next version.

Only works if your car is brand new. I have a 2019 5 door, and the old app worked perfectly Since that app was disconnected and I was forced to use this app, NO features are available for my car. The only thing this app can do with my car is call roadside assistance. They just want everyone to purchase the brand new mini even though MANY people have minis less than two years old……

Removed support for my mini. Ridiculous that Mini had a perfectly functioning app for my 2015 but then decided to disable and cripple it in a clumsy and obvious attempt at forcing obsolescence. Why break what was working? That’s not how you build a loyal customer base. Can no longer see myself buying another Mini given these shameless tactics.

Love the new GUI. App is great! Things I’d love in a future update: 1) a way to plan a trip with multiple stops; and 2) a companion app for my Apple Watch!

Rather pointless app for my 18’ JCW. All it does is show remaining fuel, and send adresses to navigation. At least include FindMate functions so we can use our provided trackers that used to work. Additions that would make it at least somewhat useful: - findmate (key tracker) - allow to load custom photo for car instead of the default tarp covered one - allow to enter license plate (allows me to enter it but will not allow it to save even tho save illuminates after plate is entered) It seems this app is based more around scheduling service (out of the 5 pages, 2 of them have schedule service options) and buying the new replacement car.

Missing features from old app. eDrive information is missing. Things are much easier to find in old app.

Doesn’t function. The app doesn’t update vehicle location or execute commands like lock doors. Essentially, this app is pretty useless other than providing the battery percentage. Overall, this is pretty disappointing.

Send destination to car not working after update. When I send a destination to car like I usually do after this latest update, I received more than 10 of the same notification. Then I went to the dealer and they updated my infotainment system to the latest version. But after the update, it’s even worst. When I send a destination to my car, it won’t even show. The notification is empty. Is there anyway to solve this issue? My car is a mini countryman jcw 2022. I am seriously disappointed as I’ve been always using this function since I got the car last Oct. and never have any issue.

Very underwhelming. All the app does for me is show my mileage and how much gas I have left… I have no access to any of the advertised features, I can’t even use the navigation service. After some digging (I think) I found out that only MINIs post 2018 can use the app to its full potential? I have a 2018, and I mean cmon that’s not that old of a car, there’s no way it’s obsolete already. The worst part is they unplugged the old app, which had a bunch of the features from the new app and worked perfectly fine for me. I don’t know just disappointed

MINI DISABLED OLD APP FOR 2017 VEHICLES. Are you kidding me? MINI develops a new app and excludes 2017 models. I’ve learned the existing app will be disabled. I purchased a 2017 MINI for my teenage daughter. Her MINI has 15 000 KM and she will have NO access to you app after July 2021. I liked her Mini so much I planned trade my existing SUV and purchase a MINI for myself! I won’t be purchasing another MINI that’s for certain know that she can’t have access to your app. I plan to make my family/friends aware of this too.

Not complete. Downloaded the new app hoping that it will have more function than the Mini Connected. Can’t even find the E drive or hub function like the Connected app. It would seem to have less function than the old one

Mini App is not working !!. Mini app is not operating on 2018 models! So frustrating ! I bought it including this option now it’s not anymore . I even called customer service for support and they failed to help! Please find a way out & fix this to your customers.

Can't log in. I have a brand new mini, and I can't connect it to the app. The app won't let me log in, it says it can't connect with the website, but then the website won't let me log in either.

Marc. I used the Find Mate function with the old app but now the functionality is not available on the new app! Now I have a useless key finder! Great job Mini! Great decision to leave this functionality out! Hopefully someone will read these comments and reprogram the Find Mate functionality on the nee app!

Sadly adds no value to me. I’m a proud and happy owner of a mini, however this app is useless to me because the package I have is Classic so I can not enjoy of a very basic benefit on knowing fuel remaining and mileage. Also the app itself is unreliable as sometimes it does not connect properly and would not allow to use Spotify interface. I have reported this to mini and they do nothing. S Sad.

Find mate has been removed. Seems that the Find Mate key tags have been removed in the new app.

Not 5 Stars because there should also be an iPad version. This app is great but if it would also support a full screen iPad version I think it would be insanely great. I use it on my iPhone and Apple Watch. The widgets present everything I want them to do.

Tracker. Live gpa location would be a great addition

Disappointed!. Why would you release a new app with fewer features than the previous one? With Mini’s commitment towards EV’s, it’s disappointing the eDrive features aren’t’ available on this new app.

Logout often. It keeps logging me out almost every time I want to run the app. I have to log back in. Send destination to my mini does not work all the time, Apple CarPlay connectivity is a lot worse with this app than the previous mini connected app. I’ve had to disconnect and reconnect my iPhone to my mini since installing this new application.

Charge and climate timer doesn’t work. Ever since I picked up my new Mini SE, the climate timer feature of the app doesn’t work. Seems to be a worldwide problem.

Carve corners!. just like the JCW this is a beautiful app that works perfectly. FYI. - Anything with more then 3 doors is not a mini. 🤓🫶😎🤷‍♂️🌈

Nothing for 2015 models. Mini are discontinuing the old app and have a new app that does not work for cars only 6 years old. I used to use the old app several times a day and now the ability to download to my navigation system will be gone. This will inconvenience so many drivers.

Barely works. Compared to our Volvo app this is a joke. 1 week of ownership and the apps asked me to “add vehicle” 3 times after already setting it up. Simply unreliable if I ever need to actually use it

Does not work for 2017 Mini Cooper. I was very disappointed to discover that this does not work with y 2017 mini. The car has a mini connected feature but it is not supported in Canada is what I am told.

Window roll up?. Wondering if we’ll ever get the ability to close the Windows and sunroof remotely.

2017 Mini Cooper S limited (to no function with this app). Not impressed with this update and the fact you discontinued the use of the old app which I relied on to enter addresses via my phone when connected through USB. I’d even be willing to pay for a subscription (provided it is reasonable) to have this feature back on the new app you rolled out. Please fix this myself and I’m sure other previous generation Mini Cooper owners relied on that feature heavily when mini connected worked.

Response lag. Functional and easy Response lag to initiate pre conditionning would benefit from improved response.

Need to fix the map. The map doesn’t work, keep showing locations for fuel or parking to far off locations that are not relevant to you or in another country. Needs to do better searches based on your relative location

Frustrating. App doesn’t support remote services or vehicle data for my 2021 Cooper S. waste of time.

FindMate no longer works in new MINI App. It is true that the new MINI app is a modest improvement over the previous MINI Connected app…. with one exception. FindMate no longer works with the new app. Hopefully future updates will correct this oversight.

No findmate connection. I love my mini! I just found my find mate in the bag of accessories that came with my Mini Cooper and with the new upgraded app I can’t connect it! There is no + sign like all the how to’s say to use.

No tracking the delivery of your new car. I think it is aweful that I can’t track the delivery of my car in this app. Why not? I spent the last two months checking online when I should be able to just open the app and look. Please add this feature so that future Mini buyers can track their deliveries conveniently.

Very disappointed. The Mini Connected app was perfect and this replacement app falls way short. One of my favorite features of Mini Connected was the Find Mate app. My daughter looses my keys ALL the time! With the Find Mate, this was never an issue. For some reason that I cannot wrap my head around, they chose to eliminate the Find Mate feature. This means there are tens of thousands of key finders out there that can no longer be used.

Works, but not in real time. Most of the functions work well except when tracking your mini, it’s not in real time. Sometimes you get status back well over an hour later.

Love it. It’s also f that I love MINI a lot second one. Love the countryman great car so much room. This app is awesome tells me where my car is how much gas and everything I love it!!! Thanks BMW and MINI

They collect the data, then remove your access. Latest update adds silly animations that stutter when scrolling on late model iPhone. Removed ability to see accrued mileage with charging history making app FAR LESS USEFUL. So the mothership gets to collect detailed data about your car... but you the driver don't get such access anymore! Nice move BMW!

One of my favs. Enjoy my mini app it keeps knowledge about my mini and also entertained with graphics and short lymrics

Fewer features than old app. New app doesn’t sync with the iPhone calendar eliminating the ability to navigate to an address in a calendar appointment. The new app looks nice but I don’t understand removing features. Seems like a step backwards.

New app released for new cars. Edit 6/1: Still waiting for the update that will include pre 2018 models. Have been a Mini owner for 18 years and on my fourth car. Never really liked the previous Mini Connected app and was happy to see a new version, until I read the 2018 and newer models only. But if your model isn’t compatible wait until we give a future update. I’ve waited 4 years for a better app. Will an update be out before the June 30th termination?

Quick Access Info. I like having vehicle information readily available as well as the manual. What would be nice is to have a car start feature on the app.

Missing Easy Status View. Please add the important status info to the main view screen. It shouldn’t take 3 taps to find out if my Mini is locked with all doors & windows closed. I want to open the app and see this immediately. Mercedes-Benz and others have this feature on their apps.

Nice features. I like that I can perform the following functions remotely with my app: lock/unlock, lights on/off, and vent my car to cool it off in the summer.

Nice app. Definitely a design improvement from the previous app. Basic features still, but looking forward to seeing what’s coming next.

Great app…so far. Overall I really enjoy the app and all of its features, the only thing I would like to see added is a remote start and remote stop function if possible. But still a large variety of options and features are available.

New To This. I’ve only had my MINI for a couple of months and I’m still getting to know all of the perks that come along with having it. It’s been GREAT…having the app and all!!! I’ll report more soon!

App is a good start. Just got my Mini Cooper se and really like this app but it looks like it is still missing the ev routing feature that Apple introduced for Apple Maps. I am guessing once this app is updated then the option will show up on CarPlay with Apple Maps. Other that. Good app.

Just a bit slow. The app is a great tool. However, the communication between it and the car can be a bit slow. Other than that so far I am happy with it.

OK, but flakey and missing key features. Pretty decent, but it is missing the ability to track efficiency. Also, the app makes me re-log in about once a week; it’s getting to the point that I just don’t bother and don’t use app as a result.

Very bad. This app stinks. First, it completely locked up on me. Then, the uninstall and reinstall went fine but I immediately received a message saying my app has been disconnected from my VIN number. I tried to get into the app again to start over again and now it’s asking for a 4-digit pin to be entered, which I never set in the first place. I don’t know if this impacts Apple Car Play too but that also hasn’t worked in my Mini for weeks.

Charging schedule is confusing. I am having trouble scheduling a regular charging time for week days and weekends. I think I am making updates, but the app doesn’t save my updates. Frustrating

Missing access to financial services. We own a BMW and Mini. I can make payments to BMW FS in the MyBMW app but this is missing from the Mini app to be able to easily access Mini FS and make payments. Is this going to be available soon?

Mini find mate. When is this going to be fixed. My find mate worked fine in the old app. When will the new app be updated and find mate work like it’s supposed to

New app is much worse for the Mini SE. The ‘new’ app has less features than the old app. What’s the big hurry to replace it. Missing efficiency of the EV use, trip history, calendar destination. The old app shouldn’t be discontinued until all the capabilities are in the new app. The product manager really needs to think about the customer, as this approach is not customer focused at all.

Great feature. I think the app is great. I have a tendency to forget things. This app lets me know if I left a window down or a door or Trunk not locked. Check to se e if I need to buy gas the next morning.

Annoyed by the lack of support for pre 2018 cars. Really is this what we can expect from Mini? That you end of life the technology after 4-5 years for a car that will last past that. I understand perhaps not improving the app but why kill what was a functional app pre this. For the sake of a small price all on app sustaining I am now debating if I really want a new Mini if that’s the life time of the tech.

Mini. This mini was a gift to my 17 year old and with the app I’m able to see her location in real time and monitor how much fuel she has and keep track of scheduled maintenance… awesome app so far

Needs Notifications. This app would be much more useful if it could send notifications to your phone when you leave your car unlocked or a window open (especially if rain is in the forecast). Other features are useful.

Fix the bug. The app is still crash and still not working. I did factory restore my iPhone 11. I did everything I could do. Delete the app, restart my phone, and Factory restore my phone. None of these did not solve the problem. This app was working fine for a year. At some point, when i opened the app not working just crashed it and cannot even open the app… Jesus..

Complex, badly coordinated, and poorly attuned to drivers needs and desires. The software is harder to use than offerings from consumer electronic manufactures such as Apple and Google, more poorly coordinated across the vehicles consoles than Nissan, and shrieks constant useless alerts that do not assist the driver while requiring extensive navigation through nonintuitive menu trees. Each electronic system within the Mini is about 7 to 10 years behind peers, and poor collaboration between the components is the rule not the exception.

Keeps Crashing. I recently downloaded to update my software but I am only on the app long enough to enter my passkey before it crashes. I was able to access the app long enough to connect my car via USB to add it but it still crashes and I’m unable to update the software of my 2011 MINI COOPER. Please let me know what can be done to solve this problem.

Spams Notification Center with Ads. This app will spam your notifications center with ads, and has no opt out. The only option is to disable all notifications entirely, which means I won’t be alerted when my car actually needs my attention. The latest round of spam is for SiriusXM. Totally unacceptable to shove ads in my face after I spent the money to buy a new car.

MINI Bait & Switch. My 2016 Clubman was compatible with a few apps, now those have been taken away and now this new MINI app is completely useless. WHY ? We chose to purchase a MINI, supported your brand, the least MINI can do is have supported apps for ALL MINI’s, regardless of age. Why make us regret the purchase & discourage us from wanting to repurchase your brand again ? MINI needs to re-think this.

My review. My mom bought this car and I got to drive it back to Colorado and I love it I spent $27 coming from New Mexico to Colorado amazing ride comfortable and relaxing I love the seats in here.

Always “Search Error”. I know I have a 2015 S and some of the functions don’t work, but when I search for something or even try to “Schedule Maintenance”, the popup “Search Error” always comes up. At least update the app to let older model Mini Cooper owners use those options.

Nice Looking but Outmoded my MINI. I used to use the other Connected app which was really nice for connecting to my 2016 MINI F55 (not even 10 years old, mind) and receiving regular updates regarding its status. I figured the snazzy new app would do the same, but apparently not. This completely removes functionalities that work just fine for no reason. Ultimately disappointed. Nice looking app though.

Not able to connect with the car. Not able to connect with my 2019 countryman due to lack of mini message function

Fine. I like it better than the connected app except for the fact that they took away my favorite feature: honk the horn. I used it when I lost my car in the parking lot and it was fun.

FIND MATE. Where? How? WHY???. After you destroyed perfect previous designed and featured app, tell me how can I connect my “find mate” tags now? You just simply DELETED this feature. I had more than 7 MINIs for last 9 years and have those tags almost on all important stuff for me. Whoever decided to do this deserves to be punched and drive MINI cooper 2 door 2015 with classic trim till last day!

A sign of how much they don’t care. I sincerely thought that having a parent company such as BMW would help the MINI developers concentrate on the customer experience…but that is not the case. I am one of the 2018 MINI drivers whose car worked in the previous app via bluetooth. At the end of this month they are going to pull the plug on the old app. It seems that less than three years later they want to consider their cars obsolete and not support it in this so-called “update”.

Big Improvement. When we bought our Mini Cooper SE 9 Months ago, we setup the Mini Connected app to track battery usage, range, lock/unlock doors and find our vehicle. The Mini app replaces it, and provides a better user interface. BMW/Mini listened to customers and placed the most important information upfront. It also added useful upcoming service information and a more logical layout. Looking forward to future updates.

My mini 💙. This is my second mini countryman it has way more options than my first car!!! I really enjoy driving it to and from work which is about 60 miles round trip!!

Removed functionality and doesn’t improve on old app. This app does not support the ability to see the distance driven since last charge, which was in the old Mini Connected app and was one of the most useful features for me. I haven’t found anything in the features or UX of this app that’s an improvement over the old app.

Service appointment broke the app. Purchased a used 2020 last year and connected it to the Mini app. Worked fine up until I booked my first service appointment with my local Mini dealership, then the app lost connection to my car. Two months later and it still won’t connect to my Mini, even after working with Mini Customer Service to fix the issue. Frustrating.

Smart car. Smartest car I’ve ever owned. A little complicated to learn all the functions. I suppose it would help if I actually read the manual.

WHERE DID MY WARRANTY INFO GO ?. On all previous versions of this app, I was able to access all of the current warranty information for my MINI. WHERE DID IT GO ? And if you got rid of this feature, WHY would you do such a stupid thing? Also, why do you refuse to allow this review to be posted?

Worst part of owning a mini. I avoid opening the app as much as possible since it auto loads audible and pops up creating this double screen every time. This also is the case when I just connect it to the car, it pops up audible and the app. It super annoying when you’re in the middle of typing or doing something and it connects to the app and pops up all that crap. Literally the worst part about the app.
