I love this hard working company!. This app has made me feel a lot more secure online and using their browser has also made me feel much more secure in making purchases again. As a victim I am pleased with their service!!!!

Memory hog. I’ve noticed that this app takes up an increasing amount of memory on my phone and iPad. After using it for only a few searches, the memory used jumped from 137mb to over 400mb and increasing. Most of this increase is data storage. What’s up with that? And is there a way to fix this? Good app otherwise but the memory issue is a potential deal breaker.

Browser with a weird touch. I don't have to touch the VPN setting when I open up the browser, it turns on automatically. Weird. Can you tell me what other browser does that kind of weird thing? I Love using Google Chrome or Apple Safari, but their browser are not weird enough. I Love Avast too now, weird.

Great secure browser!. I have used this browser on my desktop computer for about a year. It makes a secure connection threw which I can watch, any videos browse or anything else .

File errors after new version. I have been an Avast customer for several years. However with the most recent update to your secure browser, all I get is error messages even after updating the app for my iPhone. Even deleting and re-downloading the app did not work. What gives?

Takes it to the Limit. A s a multi-year user of avast I have been very satisfied because what Avast does to protect my systems and keep me family safe from the many threats that lerks in the ether. I am a 20 plus year technology veteran and yes there are many options available however Avast “Takes my protection to the limit!” I am very satisfied as are my family, I will continue to use this service. Don’t take my word for it, try for yourself and become a believer. Thanks Avast, you have not let us down over the years-Thanks for keeping your word!!!!

Love Love Love. Did I mention I love Avast Pro? works EVERY TIME. Its the only thing I have ever used that gives me everything I want and no worries. I live where internet and cell signals are not very strong or fast, and every other browser, VPN or privacy suites slowed my internet and cell data to less than 2 Mbps. Impossible to use. But Avast speeds up both! No lag, no dropped signals, just open Avast Browser Pro and Avast takes care of all the worries for me. No Ads, no popups, no spam texts and emails after being on the internet. NO STRESS! I Love It!!

Great but one problem. I love using this a browser both on my phone and computer. But nothing is perfect the subtitles don’t seem to appear on any website I use.

Easy to use. The browser is fast even with the vpn on and it’s easy to use. Only thing that’s not clear on any of the Avast mobile apps is if the vpn encrypts cellular data as well as WiFi connection’s data if even at all. But the biometric password is a nice touch ;)

Ad When Blocking Ads. I get that you guys run a business, but it’s funny when you are blocking ads and at the top of the main page is a “Upgrade Now” button. Crap man, if I wanted to upgrade I would. I remember many years ago Avast was amazing because they made good stuff and never pushed their product. But at some point it became “Upgrade now”, “Use This”, etc. Really diminishes their product.

Avast Browser. Love the VPN connection, it is so much more secure.! I’ve had trouble with people jumping on my wireless. Identity theft and more, I had such an uneventful day for the 1st time after installing this browser and was so productive. Thank you Avast for dropping my anxiety level.

The best browser. Honestly the web browser is great with every thing the only gripe I have is that google will sometimes think it’s a like a unrecognized thing trying to gain access.

Most secure browser on the App Store!. This is the most secure browser on the App Store and I highly recommend it I just wish the Anti-Fingerprint feature was added soon. I also have a suggestion for the adblocker, my suggestion is that currently the strict adblock mode blocks 99% of ads but could you add a feature where strict mode blocks 100% of ads for people who have a paid avast subscription because it would make the app a lot better.

Best security suite available today!!!. I was the victim of a phishing scam and bad actors gained access to my bank accounts. While no software can replace common sense, and I bare the responsibility for what happen, I was very disappointed with the fact that my security suite at the time (from a very well known brand) did nothing to warn me of my mistake. Aside from properly educating myself in all things internet security, I went on to try several products to compare and decide the best option for my needs. Norton, Bitdefender, and Avast made the Final Cut and from those, Avast was the clear winner! Excellent detection methods deliver quick scans with great results. Simple to use interface that provides the right amount of control without getting lost in a sea of options. Unmatched privacy tools (part of my suite but often sold separately). Ransomware mitigation that is simple to setup. Very useful tools like sandbox and email guardian. The ‘bank mode’ works much better than others I tried. And so much more. Now, there’s not a feature in avast that a competing suites does not have, however, none of them offers all of it like avast does.

The best browser for privacy. Works perfectly before I had brave for a whale but it didn’t have a free VPN(virtual private network) and this does and there is a better encryption and enhanced privacy settings

So far so good. No issue yet will updated after a few weeks

Fantastic Customer Service!. I was traumatized from System Mechanic/iolo customer service and thankfully they gave me a refund for my entire account so I can switch. They tried to take control of my computer through remote session, would not let me move my mouse to cancel the session and tried to sell me $240 for several years of live tech. Would not listen to me when I said no several times. I was done. Found out avast had everything an antivirus software needs and decided to buy it. I had some trouble setting up a feature so I called customer service. They are fantastic. They didn't even try to sell me another product and helped me fix my issue. I am buying everything they have on all my devices.

Avast Secure Browser. Update: when I used "system-wide" VPN (across all apps), my iPad is maddeningly slow. It was practically impossible to do anything with my photos/camera roll. I circumvent this problem by turning OFF system-wide. I use VPN on Avast Browser only. Back to 5 stars. I've encountered a few other annoying situations (logging in to social media when it does not recognize me, and annoying Google CAPTCHA's) as well. Usually it blocks ads, as promised. I do like the app's search engine to discover a variety of PDF's, eBooks, new sites, and other items. This is my first experience with VPN. I'd say the benefit outweighs the liability of slowing things down, at this point. I do trust the Avast brand; I've been using their antivirus software for years.

It’s good but has an annoying bug. It’s way better than safari but the only issue is that when I type the font is white. It’s near impossible to read the search bar. And dark mode does not seem to work. Idk if this is on my end or the apps issue but I hope it fixes soon

Highly recommended.. Have a couple of years trying to clean my Mac and with this program started to work perfectly.

FIX. Awesome browser just one thing can you fix the picture to picture mode i like that feature so i can play it in the background while i serch the web.

Great App. This app is awesome. I love this app because it prevents any ads from popping up related to what you have recently searched. I used to watch PornHub all the time on Safari and random porn ads would pop up when I was not watching PornHub. Now I can watch all the PornHub I want without having to worry about those random porn ads popping up when I let someone borrow my phone.

Avast for years. I have been using Avast since it’s infancy. From the very beginning. Occasionally I have strayed away to other apps but I always come back and it is well worth it😁

Worth It. I had been using DDG as my mobile browser and Avast as my desktop browser. As soon as DDG went full GoogTard and began censoring and labeling search results, I bit the bullet and purchases Avast Secure Browser Pro and set StartPage as my search engine. I do like a browser built on the Chrome framework with access to Chrome extensions and themes, and the privacy features and search engine options are well worth the annual fee.

Secure and Fast!. This is a great browser. I’ve been using it for about a month and have had no problems. I love the fact that it’s secure and fast. In fact I like it so much I deleted my Google app so I don’t have to be spied on just to search the web!

Not blocking ads. It’s a good app but when I go to Watch anime on Crunchyroll I’m still getting 2 to 3 adds a episode I’ve set the ad blocker to strict and still I get lots of adds dose anybody know how to fix this

Great Browser, But Not Perfect!. I had the Avast Secure Browser for years now, & never used it until now. My default browser of choice was Chrome, but that browser has to many problems, & did not load fast. The Avast Secure Browser is fast, & secure, to fits my browsing needs.

Only used recently. Of course I have no way of knowing what this browser does or how it works. Maybe a little test utility would be nice to challenge it and see what happens. The truth is these hackers are far more sophisticated sometimes more than the programmers themselves. But still grateful to have an option to protect ourselves with this browser program.

Avast. I’ve been using avast protection products for over 20 years. I’ve never had a problem ,and I will continue to use avast products. !!!!!!

IT’S GREAT!. I started using Avast months, no, YEARS ago! It remains a joy to use, and is a very competent browser. Yes, it did seem like a pain to roll into your day, what with logins each return, but once you get the hang of it, it is second nature. Give it a try, you’ll like it after the first hours of use. You’ll LOVE it after the first week of use!! P.S.: don’t forget to use the VPN included with the full browser. Your security is vastly improved!

Clean and safe. This is the perfect space between Firefox and Chrome but better I use the browser on my Windows computer well.

Clients Security plus. As a mobile notary, I received many secure documents via email, secure portals, etc. Having a completely secure browser is an absolute must! Thank God for avast… I would be lost without it.

Privacy policy not to be seen. For a browser that purports to protect one’s privacy is rather odd that when you try to see Avast’s privacy policy in the app the screen goes blank and then reverts to the home screen. Haven’t seen it yet so I’m not using the app. UPDATE - The developers responded to my review demonstrating what I believe to be good customer care. I went back and found that my pop up blocker was preventing the privacy policy from loading. The blocker was set only for Safari so I don’t know why this browser was affected. With the blocker turned off I can see the privacy policy.

Wonlikeghost. I like I’ve already put four people onto it which one for their parents on serve six people subscribed Because I was bragging on it

They are what they say. Avast has come through for me before and they have with this browser. It’s secure, private and everything they say. It’s a good browser too. Excellent, in fact. It’s worked ell for me.

I enjoy the app, but. I was logging in one day and the app didn’t read my face properly and locked me out, I seem to have forgotten my passcode and cannot figure out how to change it.

The Absolute Best!!. I’ve been using Avast for over 10 years, in fact it’s probably closer to 20 years! Ever since I downloaded and used the free version of avast just to protect what I was doing online I’ve trusted avast. The first time I used avast it didn’t have a browser it was just security but man o man was it good! It was constantly thwarting the bad guys from getting to my computer and with two young boys who were just starting to surf the net I needed all the protection I could get! lol Now here we are 20 some odd years later and I can honestly say there has never been a successful hack or scam that has made it through to my computer or laptop or tablet nothing nada zilch. Fingers crossed and avast is all I need. I have friends who wouldn’t listen to me and they insisted that if it was free it was a scam but it wasn’t. Even the part of avast that they let you use free of charge is incredibly strong and secure. Its not hype nor is it a stretch to say avast is quite literally the absolute best at whatever they want to do. So, download avast today and start using it before its too late. DO IT NOW!! BEFORE THE NIGERIAN PRINCE AND HIS EAST EUROPEAN COMRADES GET THROUGH WHATEVER PITIFUL EXCUSE OF A SECURITY SUITE YOU ARE CURRENTLY USING!

Weak. Compared to other browsers, this is weak. I really like Avast security and VPN, but the browser leaves much to be desired. One of the single most infuriating things is that if you have a browser open, but need to open another window to search something else, the other browser will completely re-load when you switch back again. Really annoying for video sites like Bitchute, as it will not save your spot on the video you were watching. I’m also annoyed that I can’t change my default homepage. There are a lot of bugs, I could spend hours writing, most of which center on opening more than one tab at a time. Pretty annoying.

Can slow down your WiFi connection. Good protection and good VPN and good free trial is great but unfortunately I had issues with it slowing down my WiFi connection and I would have to turn off the VPN in order to connect sometimes to the internet.

Avast is cutting edge. This stuff even scans the bios while my PC is starting up, and guess what? Of course Microsoft has been sending out patches that just clog your computer's CPU with crap! Everyone else just scans once your computer is booted.

So far 5 stars. Lock screen security feature and auto-enabling VPN are the best. I tested VPN on a speed drop and it can make around 130 Mbps download (of course depends where you are) - amazing. Upload though is just 2.1 Mbps , but I don’t complain, VPN is untended for download in incognito mode.

I like it seem so far the one that’s work for me. It good to have at first I thought it wasn’t working but yes it’s works you pay the full service and it help stop hackers and videos don’t keep playing when I played some games and less you decide to turn off the button to let it allow to but I don’t I like keeping playing without any problems. I also enjoyed where you can go anywhere on any app but there times the app itself turn the off switch idk why but I alway keep checking it out and update when there one. Sure if need something to keep you safe and want to explore on the internet without being bothered I get this if I was you. Thanks again everyone keep up the good work

Best overall browser with security in mind. From the anti phishing to the built in browser vpn. Avast secure browser will not let you down. After using it for years as well, I’m still learning or finding new little things that make me love it all over again.

Slide left to go back for iPhone. Please please please enable normal iPhone function by swiping left to go back. Swiping left in this app at this time takes you to the apps homepage and then you have to manually go back to your tab and then scroll all the way up and then click the small black arrow in the bottom left just to go back a webpage. Everything about this app is perfect except this but it is a huge frustration and will drive people like me into not using this.

No ADs! Gotta love that!. Performs well and feels secure. Only issue I encountered was one website that refused entry due to adblocker being on. Not a big deal.

Avast Premium Security. New or updated programs have just been added to this must have app.Can add to other devices as well.

Perfect Absolut. Finally learned the different functions of the two private modes and I am absolutely enthralled.

Try a new button = app crashes. Just downloaded new browser, crashes on each new button pressed. Crash; a complete irreverent irreversible break and unload of an application, may or may not unload memory space or other allocated resources. Ok it seems to start up again, and again, and again. Just for arguments sake; let’s imagine that a ‘cookie with intent to encapsulate settings’ gets each data tidbit, on each button press, but then the app crashes, ok... Why?? Where are the programmatic logic failures? Backwards compatibility??... App release is an issue that developer’s should test, not hope for the best.

Taking. Taking a long time to get used to, in app purchases to upgrades is a cheap shot. Can’t find auto populate and can’t set up payments

Ad block. The app used to be able to block YouTube ads and now it doesnt block any of them. Even after updating the app several times, it didnt work.

Doesn't allways work. Sometime, sites that used to work doesn't start.

Improving what is good. Over all it is good but can you make it so that the private browsing requires Face ID to open and also make it so that private tabs don’t close unless I close them personally like if I just close to entire app the private tabs will still be there when I get back it will just require my Face ID to open it back but they will still be there it is the same as chrome

Avast Secure virus. Yes, it does block trackers. However it is one big track in and of itself don’t use this spyware, use brave or tor.

True secure browser. VPN seems to work fine. Ad block works okay. Ad block performance is just good as other blocker. Track and cookies remove option seems not working great. I still could see some cookie left.

Always and forever, free or paid.. Never had an issue with a virus or security problem since the beginning. Free or paid i wont change from these guys. Theyve gotten a bit heavy on their own ads. Annoying but that doesnt sacrifice the quality of the product.

VPN Never connects. The VPN never connects, all I get is a page saying “vpn is connecting…” - but it never does. I’m a Pro user so this is for BOTH browser-only and device-wide VPN modes. Idk what’s wrong bc all my vpn and DNS settings are correct. But it just never connects. Other VPNs on my phone work fine though. So it’s useless to me, about to cancel my pro membership.

Unique fingerprint. I tested this browser at cover your tracks and it was sending over 17 bits of identifying information about my device. It has a unique fingerprint meaning you are not browsing anonymously or privately with this browser and sites can identify you. Using the VPN does not change this.

Waste of money. I ended up buying a cheaper app that blocks ads which runs in the background. As I was browsing through the net with the strictest settings using avast. The other app “lockdown” was capturing a bunch of ads and blocking them off. Something that avast should have been doing.

Avast is a complete solution. I’m not a techie but I enjoy using products that WORK. Avast products WORK. My one wish is that I could extend or delay renewal times for my various subscriptions so they all renew together.
