Textkiller - Spam Text Blocker Comments & Reviews 2026
Amazing app. So I have a iPhone 12 pro, and don’t ask me how, but someway after I got this phone I started getting insane amounts of random text messages. I’m not one to subscribe to any of that BS like text this to this number or anything like that, and this is not a new number I’ve had this number for several years. I honestly think it was AT&T as I didn’t realize I did not opt out of the sharing of my information (SPi or whatever they call it), So after doing some googling I found that you specifically have to tell AT&T not to share your information with other companies and other people have had the same issue due to that. I logged into my account and opted out of that but I still get all the text messages and everything. Do you know what’s sad is I’m an AT&T corporate employee and I have to deal with this BS as well. After doing that and still getting all the text and everything I decided to try this app and honestly I’m loving it. I went into my options on my phone and selected filter unknown senders and did this app as well and now I don’t even see the messages. I love this app!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Text Message Issue. Text messages being received daily from someone who has my number, random selection or from a vendor list. The list shows 20 recipients, including some email addresses. I’ve blocked them but they keep coming with a new email address or number that is not blocked. At least a 4-6 come through between midnight and 6 AM, waking us up. This app worked for two days until they began coming in again but routed to “junk”. From there, I have submitted the texts via “Report” - however, the number the app is reporting is not the one sending the text. This is a clever text scam. Texts are explicit and need to stop. Any additional support would be appreciated.
Saved my life!. A couple weeks ago I kept getting these anonymous text. They were scams with different links to steal my information. I was having trouble because I hated having a bunch of scammers texting me. Every single day at least 5 different scammer text me. I would block them but would receive more and more. It was so much I was so frustrated. So I looked up how to block spam message. I found this app, and I didn’t know if it would work or not. I downloaded it and did everything it said. Guess what, I’ve never received any more spam/scam messages! I’m so happy. And it free worth the time.
So thankful for this app. I was receiving so many spam texts that I was to the point of crying. They would wake me up at night, early in the morning and with my job and family I couldn’t just silence my phone all the time. I researched and chose this app based on how they responded to reviews. I am 100% satisfied. I have been able to add key words to help remove spam texts that I receive and they already know of others. I have not had a single spam text get through to my regular texts since I set it up. Thank you!
Misses so many spam texts plus app has too many bugs. Essentially this is worthless. It amazes me that they can even sell this on the App Store via subscriptions. 1. Even with spam text setting to extreme blocker which is supposed to block all texts unless they are in your contacts it still misses many. How hard is it really to block all incoming texts not in your contact list. 2. Even worse when you remove the app from an active screen the settings for their so called AI blocking and the extreme blocker noted above they both turn themselves off!!! Again basic functions of any app when you select on they should stay on. This is a worthless, ineffective scam of an app. 3. Keyword blocking of spam only allows me to enter a total of 5 keywords. Again worthless. Lastly, try contacting their support. They make it look so user friendly like you can chat with someone to resolve your issue and guess what? It’s an automated chat robot which is completely worthless. Don’t waste your money with this app it is useless.
Does the job!. I was getting multiple group text messages throughout the day and night. All have sexual innuendos. I never responded, and always blocked each of the 20 numbers/email addresses in the chat before deleting the message. Unfortunately, they kept coming, by simply changing a single number or email in the group, thus creating a new group. The other night I got 2 messages with sexual inference just before 4am. Because I have to be available for my job at all times, I can’t use Do Not Disturb or block all unknown messages at night. The AT&T rep suggested I try TextKiller. Before I left the store, the app had already blocked 2 messages to a Junk folder! So far, it seems to do exactly what it is supposed to, and can even learn what is junk when you add keywords to scan for in the messages. However, I have found the junk messages still come through on my Apple Watch. There is a message next to the text saying “Possible Junk”. Is there a way to filter the messages on the Apple Watch that are blocked on my iPhone? The notifications are silent on the watch, but I still have to delete them manually.
Highly recommend!. I was getting spam texts 4 times a day, everyday. I downloaded every app on the App Store, trying to make them stop. All the apps wanted money to actually block anything, except this one. It adds a filter to your text messages, so you can see what was blocked. I love this so much. I’ve had the app for about a week, and I haven’t “received” one spam text. I say “received” because I still get them, but I don’t know I get them unless I check the filter folder, which I only check to see if the app actually works, and it 100% does. ALSO, you can type in keywords for them to block. LOVE IT!!!
So close but so far. I really want to like this app. It is desperately needed and I think it does a decent job… When it works. Of course, due to number-spoofing, blocking numbers is useless unless there’s a certain number spamming you, but I really like the keyword block list idea. It seems to do a good job of stopping spam text messages, but it has some kind of terrible bug, so that it usually doesn’t function properly. Most of the time when I log in, my keyword block list is blank. And the words that I put there before are no longer being blocked. Sometimes I log in and the list is back and those texts are properly sent to the Junk folder. I can’t figure out if there’s something that causes it to start working and stop working. I have verified that it is set up correctly in iOS Settings. I have already emailed Support with no response. I will try to update the review if this issue gets fixed.
Works well. It cuts the amount of text messaging spam I receive by about 90%. I just wish I could automatically respond to all the people spamming the former owner of my phone number "I am not James.” Or maybe send them my office logo and thank them for contacting my organization. Either would encourage them to go away. Update: Nobody in their right mind intentionally attracts our attention. I am quite certain that an automated response indicating that they are attracting the attention of people with badges and guns who can arrest them would encourage them to go away and not spam me further.
What is the subscription price?. I’m giving 3 stars because I have not tried the app. I might be willing to try this app, if I knew what the ongoing subscription would cost me. However, I’m not willing to download and invest the time and energy to learn it when I have no idea of the price. You’re clear in the description that the free trial is 7 days and the subscription will be charged after that. Thank you for your transparency in that regard. I just wonder why you don’t specify the subscription price? If I feel it’s appropriate, I’d be excited to try your product and hopeful that it would meet my needs. Instead, I’m wary and reluctant. I just don’t want to get invested, only to walk away due to pricing.
App only works for a few days. Seems to stop all spam text coming through (even in the Junk folder) based on blocking keywords like “trump” or “STOP=end” but a few days later I started receiving these texts in the Junk folder. If you’re advertising the ability block ALL spam based on inputted phone numbers and/or keywords, then this app should block ALL inputs. Be honest and advertise if the block feature only exists for a small window of time and that the spam texts will still appear in the Junk folder. Because I know if I go to the Junk folder to delete these texts, they will continue to be sent tenfold. I think it’s highway robbery that I have to pay to prevent my phone number from being bombarded constantly with these harassing texts; spam blocking should be enacted by the cell phone companies free of charge and the feature should be preventative and it should actually work!!!
App does a good job but raising the price by 50% without any additional features is very sleazy. I was just notified (by Apple, not the developer) that the price for premium is going from $4 per month to $6. There's nothing new that the app does now that it didn't do before and no justification from the developer as to why the price is jumping by this high of a percentage. Given these facts one can really only assume that it's simply greedy stakeholders wanting to sneakily siphon more and more money from loyal customers. Having been a customer for almost 2years I've already spent ~$100 in monthly subsriptions ($48/yr) and now they want $72/yr? Get real. The world of subscription based pricing for anything and everything is way out of hand and this is a prime example of company's using dark patterns like this to take advantage of users. I myself will be cancelling mine immediately and no longer recommending the app to friends as I once did.
Disappointing. I had high hopes for this app. I downloaded and used it the first week because I was getting a ton of political texts. I was able to add 5 words to block specific text messages. Unfortunately you can’t add more than 5 and I can’t edit the list. In looking at the support, it says to email any numbers getting through to “report text”, so I thought I would try it out. About 48 hours later I get told to email to support instead. It’s been over 48hrs again and no response yet. Now I’m starting to get a bunch of new text messages from all sorts of groups. I don’t have time to enter all these messages into the app. Probably can only enter 5 like the blocked words list. Very disappointing and don’t recommend.
Works well. Works better than I expected not only have I gotten less spam text messages over the last few weeks, TextKiller filters the spam which is mostly mass text message scams. Before text killer I was getting 2-5 a day with text killer I get 1 every few days that textkiller quietly filters, I only notice when I check my messages. If your getting email spam sent to you via text you can also have it filtered. 10/10 so happy with this app and it’s developers.
Wonderful app!. So I have had this for for about three or four years as well as the number. I’m at a teen so getting random inappropriate texts from group chats are terrifying and traumatizing. I don’t open the apps but I block them and don’t worry bout it. I hate it. I am not on any inappropriate websites what so ever. And I’m am also on AT&T who witch apparently shares my and your info. So I got sick of it and decided to turn on filter unknown senders witch it does but I still do get texts but know that I have this app and look at the reviews and I know I will be safe and finish middle school with no worries! But I just did now start getting inappropriate text again. Witch is not ok! But I’ll get through it guys! It has helped!
Great app - great customer service. I first used the free version of this app and could block 5 words. Then I bought the app for $80 to be able to keep using their blocking service and be able to block more than 5 words. I was initially disappointed when I couldn’t block more than 5 words after subscribing - it took about 3 months of back and forth with the support team but they finally fixed it and I can block those extra set of pesky texts that keep coming through. I am SO excited because I was getting an unreal amount of political and straight up scam texts.
Use to work - Robokiller works though. Robokiller use to add this service as part of their plan for many years and I enjoy Robokiller (but less these days). I get it, the company wants to make more money so they branched off. $79/yr… fine, I pay it because I’m bombarded with political text and scams. The first year it wasn’t too bad but this is my 3rd year having the app and it’s pretty much useless at this point. I still get spammed daily and even when I turn the app off (in case the app is blocking text that I don’t see or unaware of) it makes no difference. What a waste of $79. I cancelled my subscription even though it doesn’t expire until August this year (5 more month). Should be illegal to sell this since it makes zero difference at all. In case people may think I don’t have the right settings on, I do. I checked every option available to ensure it works. Nothing
Crashes When Manually Reporting Spam. I have textkiller setup on the app and all that, but when I get a spam message, i'll open it to tap on the report link for textkiller to select "spam" and put in any comments before hitting "Done" to report it. The problem is that as soon as I tap on the section to say whether it is or is not spam, the screen closes out and I'm back at the text message. This happens 100% of the time and it has always been this way for me. I have T-Mobile and even tried turning off their spam protection, thinking maybe there was a conflict, but that's not the case. I have an iphone 13 pro and my ios is up to date. what gives?
Seriously amazing. I had gotten a new phone number and almost immediately was getting atleast 20 spam texts a day and I couldn’t just block them because they would send the text in group messages and always a different type of email. It was so frustrating to wake up to a dozen of spam texts in the morning only for it to keep coming and having to constantly look down at my phone to make sure it wasn’t a text from family only for it to be spam. This app is a life saver, seriously. After doing some research on how to stop spam texts I saw a lady post about this app and I decided to look into it. I’m glad I did. As soon as I signed up it instantly went into effect and I have not gotten ONE spam text since. The only downside is that I do have a text subscription with my health insurance company and it does send those texts to a spam folder but luckily it gives the option to go through the texts that the app has blocked so I can make sure I can respond to those texts.
This really works!!. Not sure how my number ended up on so many junk lists, I was growing increasingly frustrated. I’d heard about this app and thought I’d give it a try. With texts coming to both my phone and iPad, I installed the app on just my phone. I’m amazed each day at the number of messages on my iPad that the app blocks on my phone. After monitoring for several weeks, I haven’t identified any blocked texts that were legitimate messages. It irritates me to no end that the need for this app exists, but I am very thankful that it does!!
Amazing Utility!. This app does exactly what it purports. It stops spam from appearing in your massages. Upon installing, this app creates folders for Known Senders, Unknown Senders, and Junk Texts. All folders are accessed from the press of your Messages icon. TextKiller has a smooth, easy to use interface. I have downloaded hundreds of apps, and if I could only keep one app, TextKiller would be my choice. It works seamlessly and you will no longer have the aggravation of seeing or hearing another unwanted text. You can easily see the Unknown Sender and Junk Texts, but they will no longer interrupt your day. I highly recommend you get this superior TextKiller app today! You will thank yourself for taking back your time. And many thanks to the Developer(s) of TextKiller.
Issues actually accessing premium features after upgrading. I downloaded this app to block the innumerable spam and fraud text messages I receive, and I needed to be able to do it precisely using keywords. After a couple of months, I decided to upgrade to the paid subscription as the app was working well, and I wanted to block a much longer list of keywords than just 5. After upgrading, I’m still unable to block more than 5 keywords. Tapping the “Block” button simply does nothing. I am, of course, able to add more than 5 “Allow” keywords, but that is not a function I need. I have tried every combination of close and reopen, turn on and off, delete and reinstall, and nothing has helped. I even tried deleting my account to start from scratch, but due to the way Apple manages free trials, I wouldn’t be able to do that for another week. 2.5 stars for what seems to be a 5 star app, but doesn’t consistently handle the standard process of upgrading to premium features.
Cancel right away please. I have only had this app for a couple of days and something’s very wrong because I’ve suddenly gotten scam text after scam text. Unbelievable. Update: someone contacted me and wanted screenshots of the scam texts. I wasn’t sure how to do that so copied one and added the phone # and returned the email. I had already deleted others that day. I have to say it’s been a complete nightmare since I added this app. for such a short time. I have 8 right now. I block them and get the same ones the next day on a different phone number. I was going to screenshot them to send but oddly that email disappeared. I certainly didn’t delete it. It’s nowhere. Not inbox, scam, trash, sent, all mail, etc. It’s just vanished. How does that happen? I want this fixed. Something about this app has obviously attracted these scam texts and I want it fixed. I had to add this stupid app again to write this. Now. I want it canceled ASAP CANCEL APP NOW
Helpful so far. I’d like to preface by saying i have an iphone 13 and i do not pay for the app (the free version works fine for my purposes) i was getting quite literally 3-5 texts a day spouting off some random republican campaign stuff that was very clearly a scam (if you get them you know what im talking about). not sure why i started getting them a year ago but every single one is addressed to my mom so that’s a possibility. either way i got tired of getting notifications every single day that i received a text only to find out it said something along the lines of “TRUMP NEEDS YOU” and the unknown senders feature for the iphone isn’t helpful in that department so i gave the app a try and oh my god the relief i feel now is immense. i used a few of the keywords that are always in the spam texts that id never say myself (stop=end for example) and it has worked GREAT. the junk folder does its job and i just check it every few days to report the texts ive gotten and check to make sure nothing important got sent there on accident. overall this has made using my phone so much better and if you’re tired of getting scam text notifications i highly reccomend it!
App will not setup properly. My paid subscription of Text Killer suddenly stopped working. I’ve tried to contact their customer service via bot, but when I type in my issue, it won’t allow me to send. And when you click on “Contact us”, it sends me to a blank website. Maybe this actual text killer is a scam itself?? The send button doesn’t even work. I launched the app, it says “Hmm something went wrong and to please try turning on text blocker again to make sure everything is working”. I’ve followed the steps many times. Had even restarted my phone, but it still won’t setup properly and I keep getting that same error message. I have a paid subscription and I don’t know how long I’ve been paying for their service and this had stopped working. Customer service is difficult to reach.
Finally! Something that works!. I’ve been getting several spam texts a day from random gmail addresses for months now, and I was so frustrated that nothing worked to stop them. So far Apple only lets you block each individual email address, and the spam number provided by AT&T only lets you report phone numbers. But these scammers never send from the same email twice! I tried several other third party blockers, but they only filtered out messages from phone numbers. TextKiller lets you filter by message content, though. Since most of the scam texts I’ve been getting send .club links, I typed .club into the message filter as soon as I downloaded the app. Tonight, I realized I hadn’t gotten any notifications from gmail addresses texting me. So I looked in the junk folder TextKiller set up, and there they were! All the scams from the gmails immediately were sent to the junk folder. I no longer have to deal with getting notifications of upwards of 10 scam texts per day! I am so incredibly relieved.
Filters spam great but no easy way to whitelist false positives. I love how great this is at filtering real spam, but I get at least 2 or 3 messages a week that get sent to the junk folder that are not junk, and it would be so much better if there was a simple way to whitelist these. Right now the only way is to manually copy the phone number from the message, go into the Text Killer app, and add the number there. Way too many steps. If you add a way to whitelist a number or message from writhin the message, like you have for the “Report Junk” feature, then I’d happily give 5 stars.
Incredible!!!. I’ve been at my wits end for the past couple of years cause I get at least 20 to 25 text messages a day from politicians that want donations. First off, never give your phone number if you make a donation. Every time I got a spam text I would put the number on my block list, etc. but continued to get them. Then I tried this app. It’s been almost a week and I have not gotten one spam text message. NOT ONE!!!! It’s unbelievable to me. I could not be happier, and I could not more highly recommend this app. It works unbelievably well!
What happened?. I have been using and loving this app for two years, happy to pay the subscription until now. As others have said, I can no longer add words to my block list. I read that others have said that you can only have 5 words in your block list now - this appears to be the case. I am not sure they made that change without communicating it to their subscribers, but that seems overly restrictive to me. I will be looking around for a new text blocker app to see if I can find something that does what this app used to do.
Meh. Huge issue with group texts with 20+ numbers and emails. Put every number and address with as many keywords as possible and texts still getting thru. Additionally, the “killed” texts still show up in a junk folder with an alert and I’m alerted on my other devices as well. So basically it just puts everything in a folder that now you have go in and individually delete. Not sure how this saves me any time or aggravation. I hoped this was truly a text “killer” meaning it would automatically block and delete messages from numbers or with keywords I plugged in, but it basically just sends them all to a folder that I now have to clean out. I’ll give it month to see if it helps with stopping these annoying texts, but so far, not worth it. It’s an organizational tool and not a text “killer” as advertised.
Finally an app that blocks junk texts!. I tried everything to block the group spam texts that I was getting all day and all night - nothing worked. They would just create a new email (usually Hotmail) address to send the crap from, and then inevitably all the people also in the text would start replying “unsubscribe” or whatever other nonsense they thought would work, which was essentially piling on to the issue. Well, this blocks all of it! I can sleep in my Apple Watch again, I can leave my notifications on and not have to worry about who is texting me now, and I also don’t have to block 30 numbers at a time! I signed up for this app for the free trial, and it was so good that I seriously can’t see myself ever deleting it! Best app ever!!
TextKiller Works. About 4 months ago, my text spam was out of control. After doing some research, I down loaded TextKiller. I saw an immediate 95% drop in the spam texts. Spammers or Scammers are now popping in with what appears to be a group text. Since I never open any of these groups texts attempts I’m not sure if it’s someone trying to sell me something or try to steal my information. TextKiller allows me to report it as spam. Once doing that, you’ll never see that one again! I’ve purchased a lot of different apps for my iPhone. This is the only app that impressed me enough that I wanted to write a review.
Just ok, could be better. It’s an alright app, perhaps I expected more when I purchased. It would be a lot better if IOS systems didn’t receive notifications from unknown senders. I still receive numerous notifications from spam texts, perhaps iOS or TextKiller could simply “silence” any and all texts from unknown or suspicious numbers. Reporting spam/junk/unknown texts is more time consuming and a hassle than expected. One would assume a simple swipe left/right or press/hold application would allow the user to block and report number with simple category options such as, “Scam, Fraud, etc..”. However, TextKiller provides 20+ category options that are similar; leasing the user to hastily pick any category option that may or may not be similar or correct.
It’s actually working 🥹. I’m so glad that I have an app that’s finally filtering my spam texts & calls! I haven’t actually SEEN a spam call/text come through since I downloaded this a few days ago! I can see all the texts I don’t want if I look in the junk folder but never am notified they’re there. Thank goodness. With all the spam coming through these days I was getting annoyed & didn’t want to change my number. This works better than Norton did for me!!!! I love it! Customer for life!
OMG..I needed this…. I needed this yesteryear…lol. After installing, these annoying stupid perverted text went straight to junk. I don’t even have to hear the ping that I got a text unless it’s someone I know. I would have got this a long time ago if I had known it existed. Thank you so much, I can breathe again. It was especially irritating because I have a sister who is battling cancer and needed my phone on just in case I was needed. They are sending these nasty texts all hours of the day and night. Don’t know how they got my phone number but, now I don’t care cause I can be without that annoyance! Thank you once again.
Fantastic app. I’d like to make a suggestion. Love the App. Works even better than I could have hoped for. Was getting like 5-7 political ad tests per day on average. With the app installed has went down to none. Absolutely worth the 5.99 per month and have no problem paying. It looks like you use users to help train your models by identifying potential spam messages you’ve captured. I like to see a “payment” option where the user can help identify a certain # a month and that covers the cost of the app. But if they don’t, they still get charged 5.99. Ohh only gave this a 1 star because figure someone from the company checks out the 1 star reviews occasionally. It’s a great product.
What a surprise. An app that works!. I started getting aggressively bombarded with spam texts. Sometimes 20 in a day all similar but from different numbers. I’m on Do Not Call List and texting “Stop” was returned undelivered. It was so upsetting I was considering changing my number. Then, on a whim I tried this app. It completely stopped the texts in ONE DAY. I don’t mean they’re in a spam folder I mean the texts have stopped completely. My only theory is that once Text Killer captured that one spam text it notified the sender which disabled it. Whatever the reason I owe this app a debt of gratitude! And, for once in a lifetime it didn’t cost anything. Thank you.
Does not actually blocked text messages just puts them in a separate folder. So far this is not “blocked” anything that I have put in a keyword for such as Dr. OZ or CBD (I get multiple text messages weekly which have those keywords in them, they are spam and phishing text.) This app just created another folder called junk and puts them in there…. with the iPhone you have the ability to separate out known from unknown callers putting unknown callers in a folder called “unknown” which I was doing. So this is the same thing only made a different folder called junkAnd cost $30 a year to do that. Doesn’t block them. Update, The developer did respond to me to say that Apple will not allow them to block the offending text messages it only allows them to put it into a junk folder so it’s really not a problem they can overcome. But like I said IIn the original review can do the same using apples “filter unknown senders setting”.
Works on phone after a few days, does not stop push notifications on Apple Watch. I originally had an issue where messages would be filtered into text killers junk section but would still produce pop up notifications and banners on the phone. After a few days, it seems messages are getting filtered into junk properly. However, the app does nothing to stop those same junk messages from generating a push notification on my watch while I have it on. So while wearing my watch I still get push notifications for sms spam messages even though they are filtered correctly on the phone. This is still pretty annoying but I can just ignore the push notification on the watch and it will go away. This is better than having to delete individual spam messages or getting push notifications on the phone directly.
App isn't blocking harassment texts. I thought this was the answer to my receiving unwanted pornographic texts. The sender creates a group list of 20 people. The sender doesn't say anything other than posts a website in hopes that the receivers opens it. It angers people asking sender to remove them from group. My phone gets blown up with angry people as do I. Each time I block the sender and group another one is sent to me. This just keeps going on and on. I'm sick of this!! I thought this app would block these sick people but it isn't doing anything.
Awesome. Spam texts were a constant hassle until I could not stand it anymore so did some research finding TextKiller! Super easy and then the only issue I had was other people texting replies to spam texts like “stop”, “quit” etc which was more annoying stop tweaked my TextKiller with keywords blocking and now peace, beautiful peace! I even resorted to having a response I would send to people replying to spam texts where I was kinda harsh but I did tell them to do something different moreover something effective rather than bothering everyone on the spam text thread informing them about the app! Love it, recommend it and I swear by it!!
Really?! Et tu Brute’?. I used to like this app, now I am moving on to another. It appears the app developers just cannot resist inserting their political views and biases into their programming. I have noticed that when giving examples of what is spam or what is not in their interactive feature it seems 90% of the examples are some type of Trump/Republican/GOP message. Don’t get me wrong, I consider all of these to be spam as well, but do these developers honestly think the Democratic Party does not flood the internet with spam political messages as well? I am fed up with tech companies inserting their biases into their product. How about eliminating ALL spam not just the ones you don’t agree with? Or, novel as it may seem, stay out of politics in general? As such I cannot trust this applications intentions any longer and therefore cannot continue its use.
Love the app, just wish it also worked on the Apple Watch. This app would easily get 5 stars from me, except that my watch still dings on the spam texts even when my watch is set to mirror my iPhone. I was getting so many spam texts after switching to AT&T and it was driving me CRAZY. They’d send them as early as 6 am. Now, with this app I am able to not hear or see the 5+ spam texts I was getting daily. It does seem like some get filtered from the watch but others don’t. If they could find a way to solve that the app would be PERFECT!! Still definitely worth it and I 100% recommend!
How is your personal information protected?. I decided not to use the app after getting the “are you sure?” type of message from Apple when choosing the app to filter texts in my settings because the message said “the developer of the app will receive your messages from unknown numbers. This may include sensitive information like bank verification numbers.” Which is something I didn’t think of before—when verifying any account by phone number, they send you a text from an unknown number. That text would be easily accessible to the app, wouldn’t it? Although this app seems useful, it also seems dangerous to give someone else access to all your texts from unknown numbers. The only way I’d use this app is if I had a strong guarantee of how my information would be protected by the app and not stolen.
Saved My Life!. Thank you so much to whoever made this app! I was receiving texts non-stop, all the same thing, but from all different phone numbers and I was scared that I would have to change my phone number or pay for a service but I’m so glad I found this app because I put in a special character that was in all of the spam texts but would never be used in legit texts from people I know as a keyword to block and I stopped getting them instantly as they were sent to the junk folder which essentially makes it seem as if they don’t exist. Thanks again! -T3CH9
What a lifesaver! Great app!. I started getting repeated spam text messages out of the blue. I’ve had this number for over 10 years, and never had an issue, but within the last few months, I started getting a spam text here and there, and then it steadily increased to multiple per day. They’d come from various numbers and email addresses, sometimes individually, sometimes in group texts…always just plain junk. I did what AT&T suggests by reporting the message and sender to the SPAM shortcode (7726), but after doing that, the messages not only didn’t stop, they increased! The two may or may not be related, but regardless, it ticked me off! I searched for app options to block unwanted texts, and this is the first option that came up. I signed up for the trial, and then quickly signed up for the paid plan! This works—I haven’t had a single spam text come through my Known Senders, and TextKiller has caught dozens of them and filtered them out. THANK YOU for a great app! Well worth the $40/year to filter out the junk.
Thank you. My current cell number has been mine for 30 years and have had Att for approx 20 of those. About a year ago, I started receiving spam sms texts numerous times everyday. Forwarded them to ATT and blocked them, but they keep appearing, using a different address. Then I downloaded this amazing app - Don’t Text. Per the app’s directions, I added the key words used by the spammers…and it worked! Spam text stopped and have not had any in over a month! Get this app…it works.
Good prior to subscription now worthless. 24 Jun 2022 I cancelled my subscription back in December for all of the reasons indicated. So now I am in countdown mode until this years subscription expires. Fixes periodically get made; but, I still cannot update to newer versions without text words and phrases or sources being deleted all of the time and having to go through the app “retraining cycle”. As a result, text messages just start coming through each update until retrained. It’s just aggravating having to spend time doing this each update. With a few more weeks left, this app will expire and be removed with a replacement already in place that does the job much better now. It is a shame, because this use to be an app that I always recommended to family and friends. 06 Dec 2021 Prior to the subscription version of text killer it was working perfectly. When the new version came out and an annual subscription was paid for, my entire list of keywords was wiped out starting the nagging text message and filtering exercise all over again. The current version DOES NOT FILTER OUT messages that contain keywords like drop, lose, lbs, pounds, try, etc. that are common to nagging weight loss unsolicited text messages. Therefore, it is money down the drain. Yes, I have deleted and reinstalled…still does not filter out messages. Another good app bites the dust after subscription functionality is added. Waste of money!
TextKiller….hurray it works….so far…... TextKiller…I am so glad I found this app. I was so frustrated due to me not being to block those messages, that would wake me up. TextKiller... I was mire frustrated due to me not being to block those messages that would wake me up during the early am. I complained but it seems it was hopeless. This is worth the 30$. I felt so hopeless. I must be doing something right. I saw there ad. I am in my 3/4 day of my trail period. No harassing text message. Thank you TextKiller I feel so much better.
Block/allow list. Previous versions let you view and edit custom keywords and numbers for blocking/allowing texts. Now you can only add them and you cannot view them. Did it actually keep my previous settings? No idea, can’t check. Does block/allow feature currently work? No idea, can’t see the settings to confirm. Update: still doesn’t work on iPad, but I suspect that it doesn’t work at all on iPad. There’s no option to use Textkiller as the SMS spam filter. Meanwhile, the block list is now editable on iPhone, but it doesn’t always filter out SMS spam that matches those keywords. I added “UPS” and “USPS” as block keywords, but I still get iMessage spam about “packages being held at the warehouse” from email addresses that are obviously not UPS or USPS.

Texts stopped dead in the tracks -Australian perspective.. Had it set up easy. Didn’t enable the in app auto report feature as it is very U.S centric (not that it makes any performance difference . Had Text Killer for 5 days and from 7 + SMS robo scamming notifications originating from the U.S,sub Continent and Europe daily (mostly between midnight and 5am )it’s now back to a local or Indian scammer rare phone call every blue moon.🇦🇺 Sanity restored so far.👍 Been 6 months now.Spam texts obliterated.A happy 2022!
Nope!. Installed it then found out it’s useless unless you pay a ridiculous amount now can’t fully remove it from my phone.
Cannot Register. Cannot Register, waste my data to download.
Doesn’t work. Doesn’t work
Great app, but mis-filters contacts as junk. Great app that does indeed filter out most spam. Unfortunately it’s also marking some texts from my contact list as junk, so I’ve suffered some problems missing important texts. That’s a pity, because it really does eliminate the spam!
Spam app. After using this app, my number appears as “suggested spam number “ when people calling me
Not working in iOS 15 at all. I followed the guide and it neither blocked spam SMS (I.e. new voicemail from a weird url) or allowed me to actually report them
Good but could be improved. This app works well on the iPhone, however blocked/spam sms’s stay in the current folder if you use Mac to see/respond to SMS’s, which in my view is a major flaw. Because your iPhone is protected but your laptop is wide open.
Started out OK. When I first downloaded it worked well. Now getting bombarded by spam messages.
Free version does nothing. Only works as a spam blocker if you upgrade to the premium. Free version does nothing. Will be deleting this app and continue looking for a decent text blocker.
Not sure if this can be trusted. Only one review and 21 ratings and you need to give the app access to the text off your messages How do I know this isn’t produced by the same lowlifes that are sending phishing messages? We need Google or Apple or someone we can trust to produce an app that filters spam messages.
Sms blocker. Great application
Awesome app for filtering unwanted junk!!. So glad I installed this app as I was getting so many junk messages and had no way to filter everything. Has really cleaned up my message inbox now! Support have also been really helpful and responsive when contacted. Highly recommend!
Can’t remove app fully. I cancelled my subscription and deleted the app and all its data on my iPhone 12 and yet the functionality is still showing in my filters in the iPhone Messages app. So clearly it is not fully removed when deleted which is a red light!
Not smart enough. Filtered out a very important sms appointment from a service provider
It is worth. Nice app filtering and blocking spam
Couldn’t verify my number. Tried several times to use my mobile number to set up verification but failed so I gave up and deleted the app
Bxndnd. I love your app but it isn’t working Jsjshebdbbdbdbbfbfbf high
Not working properly. I opened my messages to find it did not filter one such scam text about a delivery. It was working yesterday but today it failed to put it into my junk folder.
Still getting spam messages every day?. Thought this one would work
Second chance. Initially had teething problems ( I couldn’t register). I installed “Truecaller” instead. ( it didn’t work) TXT killer developers eventually contacted me, and advised bugs had been resolved. I decided to give it another go. Surprisingly it Worked very well. Spam it now being filtered accurately. Thanks to the developers for reaching out to me.
Mr. A great program , I wish I knew about it earlier. I was getting between 3 and 4 spam messages a day installed TextKiller and bingo there stopped 👍👍
It works!. Got this app after recieving 3 texts a day about parcels “waiting” for me , so sneaky they were cleverly done and super annoying! They instantly stopped after installing this app. Thankyou!!!
Paid membership still getting spam messages. Even though I am a full paid member spam messages keep coming 🤔
Gold. So far so good. Dingers continually crossed that this continues. Thanks
Cancel agreement. I would like to cancel this agreement
Worked Until It Didn't. I was very happy with TextKiller but recently have been receiving a large number of unwanted texts. I am paying an annual fee and expect great service for the year.
Fix it. Doesn’t work
Tried it for a few weeks, nothing happened. Followed all the instructions, added a bunch of keywords and never replied to any spam but the spammers are just too smart for this app. Additionally there’s no easy way to mark a bunch of messages as spam or train the software using your messages. Feels like the developers hands are tied and the spammers are too good at this…
Completely hopeless setup. I could not recommend this less. The setup never worked- would not let me verify via phone, sent me through loops with google id, text on screen overlaps buttons making one unreadable and the other unusable
Is not blocking anything at all. Not really,it doesn’t work
Works a treat. Started getting a lot of phishing text from random numbers. This filtered them correctly straight up.
Free. It’s not free
Good app. Very accurate and reliable Reliable and very worthwhile. I like this app✅👍
Very slow and still allows unwanted texts through. Not happy with this app at all. They allow scams from the Phillipines to get through to my phone where the person is claiming to be looking for work. The app itself is very slow to work and crashes regularly. Not impressed at all and do not recommend. It filters only the bare minimum of texts and for $99 a year that’s insane. Please fix this app.
Deleting app. How do I delete app as it won’t let me

Not working. Not working app
Not happy. Purchased this to stop spam garbage It’s not doing it No point it I gotta report the number There’s thousands of numbers 😡😡😡 Margjody
Brutal. I can’t launch and when I try to block manually it doesn’t block. Basically the app isn’t doing anything. What a waste of money.
Gg. Gg
Works awesome. Sorts out weekend spam.
Not very effective against spam texts from email addresses. 3 spam texts from email addresses were not filtered today
Stops spam, but spam’s verification codes?. So far the app seems like it is blocking spam texts but there’s no way for me to actually figure out if it is without upgrading to premium. On the other hand, I have been getting an excessive number of verification codes being texted to me from the app, but I have requested none of them and I’ve got a bunch of them. And on a phone that I haven’t touched in two days. So yeah, if this stops, I will correct and right higher, but until the app stops spamming me with verification codes, it’s gonna stick at a two star.
Can’t verify phone number. Keeps saying the verification code is not good. Adios 🤷🏻
Great app. This app is doing quite the job. I like the sort of three step process of how it will filter messages. What makes this different is the A.I driven filter so I know that it has a chance of getting the non blacklisted ones. Finally, have you ever thought of making a test section in the app? (For my rules, or common made SMS spams).
Junk file still getting smut. Not good Today I blocked 4 apps You are allowing too many in This app is not working I’m cancelling Im not going to keep this app I just blocked 6 very smutty emails Why are u not blocking them I just blocked filthy one Wth Much better. Smut is getting blocked Love the app👍all better love this app I love it now. It took me sometime. But it’s all good. I’m thinking of renewing 👍👍I now got it for a year love it 👍 When I open my app This comes up swoops something went wrong . ???? What’s up with that
TOOK CARE OF MY SPAM TEXTS THX U!!!!!. i was so frustrated with all of the stupid spam texts i suddenly began receiving but this app took care of it all. thank u!
No more spam messages!. TextKiller is working great, as intended, premium subscription isn’t even required.
Scrap!!!🫗. Impossible d’ouvrir l’app sur iOS 26.2
Game changer. Loved every minute of it

Works great so far. I only have the IPhone 12 and nothing else & it works perfectly so far. It’s been 24 hours & I didn’t hear a notification sound when junk was received. The one I got legitimately looked like junk mail. I didn’t even have to click on it & I don’t see the count included in my normal texts which I like because I don’t want to click on the texts if I can avoid it!
Does not sync with Mac Messages anymore. At first I love this product. From my iOS iPhone it removed 90 to 95% of the spam texts. How great is that! But then I noticed all the spam text started showing up immediately on my Mac messaging platform and so there was no more synchronization of what Textkiller removed on my phone with my Mac. So I had to separately delete the spam on my Mac, and in the end the program for me lost more features than gained. I would be glad to come back to this program when they fix this. So if you like your iCloud syncing between your phone and messaging on your Mac, I would not get it!
Helps some but doesn’t 100% work. Works in the for the first week or two at sending unknown numbers to a different file but they eventually start making their way back into your inbox so it doesn’t solve the problem. Also you still get a notification of a text message until you’ve checked the text in the spam folder so their is hardly a reason to keep using it honestly. Still being bothered by scam and spam.
I want to like this…. I originally thought this app would get 5 stars because it does work. However, it only allows you to block 5 keywords which means spam messages still come through. Sure you can report it, but doesn’t stop the texts from coming through and being annoying. I’ve also seen reviews about the free version but I have no options for a free version upon downloading, it’s a paid service.
So far So Good. Just recently downloaded app but it seems to be working great at not letting spam messages through. And that's an A+ in my book 🥰 UPDATE: I have to say, TextKiller is doing a fabulous job at not letting spam messages through on my iPhone 🤩!!! Never yet have I found an app that does this! I'm completely amazed n will let everyone I know, about TextKiller so they too can have relief from spammers who need to get a real job😡! Thanks TextKiller 🥰
Works Great On Text Spams. This app works best by using keywords to block spam texting. Other app I tried only allowed blocking phone numbers and that was no good because spammer continuously changed caller number. And, anyway, I could already silence unknown callers within my iPhone settings but that did not apply to text messages. I really needed this app. TKS ... ONE QUESTION = How many keywords can I add? I currently have a total of 13 in my list that work well but may need to add more in the future.
Hopeful. When I found text killer I was very hopeful to find the right settings to stop getting some of the junk and outright offensive texts. I have not seen that kind of success, so I am going to try it for longer in hopes of finding that level of satisfaction. If I can’t I may just shut off my cell phone and go back to a landline. I am honestly that frustrated.
God sent. Like most other comments seen I was a victim of those group texts that would spam my inbox and even deleting them never helped because the simple minded folks in the chat would respond to not only the text but eachother causing a hamster wheel of annoyance. But ever since installing my phone has gotten rid of all of them. App has become a must have
Love this app but not the $50 subscription increase. I am giving this app 5 stars, despite the fact that the subscription is going up $50 a year. I cancelled that and will use the free version instead. This app kept my phone quiet for the most part from spam calls and texts and it’s very user friendly. The extras I paid for in the past, I can go without. I am a fan for life.
This app is amazing. So one day I started to get these scam texts, which I ignored at first until I kept getting more and more (several scam texts everyday). I really wanted these to stop and decided to search for an app to stop these texts and found this app. Ever since I downloaded this app I have not received any scam texts in the 3-4 days that I had this app. I’d recommend anyone who is getting scam texts to download this app ASAP.
Custom filters and folders/views?. With iOS 14, I thought an app like this would have very limited use. However, I do like the way it sorts items into folders/views (such as Transactions and Promotions). It would be great if there was some transparency as to how this is actually accomplished. Even better would be if we could create our own filter->folder rule! The biggest one for me is all the 2FA texts that come in all day; iOS blocking throws them to the junk folder; if we could filter these into a 2FA Codes folder, that would be incredibly useful, and give this app an extra tool I would pay for (but please just a one time fee!).
Use for iPad? Updated. I deleted and re-installed TextKiller and it work brilliantly now! No idea what the initial problem was. I am delighted with this awesome blocker! Adding annoying contacts is truly a one time and trivial effort. My spam is substantially cut down to size. Phone numbers, key words, email sms phishing deviates. Copy-paste, bang… no more bother. Thank you, thank you, Text Killer! Now, give me more brilliance please… a means to synch my blocked list across devices. MacBook Pro, iPads, iPhones, virtual machines, and PCs. Great job.
Works perfectly. Fantastic app for filtering junk texts. Works perfectly with virtually no configuration. Junk texts show up in the Junk folder. Occasionally a legit text shows in Junk but for the amount of garbage this filters I’ll call this a win. Also PS if you have your Mac enabled to receive SMS, there is no Mac equivalent of this app so you may want to disable SMS receipt on Mac or the Junk will show up there unfiltered. Worth all $30, especially around election years.
This app works wonders!. I’ve been getting these spammers that put my number in a random group chat and spam FaceTime and after I’ve gotten this app, the group texts don’t go away but at least I don’t get a notification and they’re filtered into their own “junk” category. Love it so much just have to delete the chats and I’m not sure if I haven’t gotten spam FaceTime calls or if they’re being filtered but either way I haven’t seen them and couldn’t be happier!
No more texts from email accounts!!. Thank you for stopping all of those group texts I would get from various email accounts. I would get about five a day and have tried everything to stop them, but they kept coming. I have not received a single message since I downloaded the app, and I have been using it for a few week. I will gladly pay the subscription to stop getting those messages. Thank you.
Had been working great! 😔. I’m still loving it for spam, and will probably end up paying once election season ramps up. My issue as of the last 2-3 weeks: When texting a non-iPhone that isn’t in my contact list, their reply now goes to my junk folder, even though I’m the one that originally texted them. I can put people in my contact list, but then I get two messages streams in my inbox - one with my message, one with their response. I’m not sure what changed! It had been working perfectly for several months, so this seemed to happen with the last update.
Saved my phone. I have no idea why in the last 2 weeks I suddenly started receiving 5 or 6 SPAM texts daily. I was pretty desperate and researched a few different options before choosing Textkiller. It really works. Those texts which were driving me crazy are now automatically moved to a junk folder without bothering me. I really don’t know what I would have done without this APP. 5 stars
I can’t get this off my phone!. I have deleted this app and it is still filtering my texts somehow?!? I guess I have to delete it from my cloud too? I get rid of the filtering folders in my text app but then they keep coming back! Seems very sketchy. Also, as soon as I downloaded it, the texts filtered ok but i started getting notifications that another device was using my Apple ID, calls were being sent to VM after half a ring, and someone else started replying to my husband’s texts from my phone number. I have major concerns that my phone was hacked as a result of putting this app on my phone. STAY AWAY!!
Pretty Good App.. I’ve never been so pleased with a spam blocker app like this one. It’s definitely worth the download and rating! It has been blocking A LOT of political text messages and etc. You also have the option to add whatever keywords you think are common to block. The only thing I wish was that they had an app for the Apple Watch. Because even though messages are blocked on my phone, they’re not blocked on my watch. Anyways. Give it a download!
Works!. I was getting 3-4 spam text a night they were all sexual in nature. I got a Pornographic picture (no link, just a picture in a text) and that was where I knew I had to do something. I have small kids. I got online search what I could do, came across this app. Happy to say I have not received one single spam text since downloading this app. Worth it!
Freezes up on startup. I managed to get this installed on my iPad but now it just freezes on the sign-up page and won’t let me continue. Nothing is clickable. In the iPad settings it does show Textkiller as a filter, and the Junk folder has Textkiller’s test text in it. But nothing else is filtered and I can’t access anything in the app to fix it. Customer service is worthless. When they write back they send a generic response and/or just don’t understand the problem. This might be a good app on an iPhone but if you get messages on the iPad you’ll still be spammed. Keep looking.
Works Pretty good. This election is going to kill me. I get about ten messages I didn’t sign up for daily. If I look in my spam box, I bet I have at least 300 in there. Sometimes, though, a few will get through. I will add a new keyword to the block list when that happens. Rarely do some get through, even if there is a blocked word. I don’t know why. That being said, I have been unable to add new words recently. After typing the word I want to block, I try to press the red button, and nothing happens. Adding keyboards and phone numbers to the block list is currently broken.
OMG Thank you!!!. I was receiving about 15-20 spam texts a day! I was blocking all these #’ to the point I have about 100 #’s on my block list! They would text at ALL times of day and night! I wanted to change my phone #!!! But this app has blocked 100% of those texts! NONE of them are coming through! I’ve had 2 full days of peace! I’m never deleting this app! If you have the same problem, download this app now! No joke!
Tried it. Update. After I cancel them and deleted the app. All the spam texts that was still coming on my phone but in another location showed back up on my texts I am actually working on a lawsuit because they don’t make the spam go away they’re still on your phone just in another location Well I thought they actually stop the spam text from going to my phone but it still goes to the phone in the text. It’s just listed in another part of your text not in the main. So they actually do stop the spam it just redirects it’s them in another part. They spam is still coming to my number. Don’t be fooled guys
Needs additional capabilities. While this application does a good job of blocking spammers sending text messages, the texts continue to come through daily. I average around 10 spam text messages per day. These need to be more then sent to a junk folder; they need to be shut down, blocked at the source and reported. This is crazy!! Block lists are not adhered to. I would like to see this app stop all spam messages before it even reaches my mobile.
Turns out, I did need anger management,. I just needed TextKiller app. Spam texts got sooo much more out of control in just this past year, I honestly considered changing my number. TK was my last shot. After downloading, my screaming and the urges to smash my phone decreased by a 1000 w/in the day. And no more running in circles reporting #’s to data carrier or the free version of MWB. Don’t know how or why you guys don’t charge for this, but my family and I thank you for saving my brain from the complete meltdown I barely escaped having.
Does the job. I recently started getting about 5 spam texts per day. Tried SpamHound and it didn't help as it required me to set up keyword based filtering rules. This actually does a good job of filtering spam texts automatically. I'll still have maybe one a day slip through but that's way better than 4-6 per day. Now I just wish I could get it to also block the texts from my desktop messenger app....
So far so good, it is a paid subscription FYI.. Since I got my new phone and number, I was receiving 10 or so spam links to scam websites. I used AT&T spam reporting but nothing every changed. I turned this on and instantly cut them off. (I was mid way through receiving more messages) it stopped them all so far, and I’ve used the option to add a few keywords to for extra defense against the links. For example “.clothing” this is working great and I love it so far!
THANK YOU!!!. I was literally going crazy, i had to shut off notifications, which made me miss my own very important messages, my battery was going dead constantly, what would I do without you? And im using the free version, as soon as i get back to work, i will pay for the full app, this app has literally saved me, no joke, thank you so much! Sincerely January
Increase price by 34%. Not cool.. I have been a customer now for some time at $3.99 per month. The app has worked well. I cannot say anything bad about the functionality. I understand lots of things today are going up, but going from a reasonable $3.99 to $5.99 is just ridiculous. How do I know you won’t raise it again another dollar or two when you feel like it? On the principle alone, I am cancelling this subscription and can no longer recommend this app.
Works Well. I put this on my phone and it’s been the best thing that happened to me, and I have promoted it with a lot of other people but today I missed a text that it should’ve caught. Overall this is a five star product in less problem still continue but I do not think they will because the performance has been excellent prior to today.
Works almost perfectly. Five stars.. For several weeks I had been receiving a ridiculous number of spam texts every day, like 8 per day. I was sick of it, so I downloaded the first app I could find for spam texts. It happened to be this app. I chose to stick with the free version - I didn’t really want to pay for anything - and even then it worked amazingly well. I was recieving 8-12 messages per day. In the 2 weeks I’ve had the app, I only got ONE in my inbox. I especially like the keywords to block feature, so I can configure it to what types of messages I get most. So, go ahead and get this app. Even if you stick with the free version, it still works well. I’d absolutely recommend it for anyone who’s dealing with lots of spam.
I’m very greatful. I just wanted to say thank you for this app it’s definitely doing an amazing job. I am using the free version and I can see the difference now . No more weird text messages from scammers. I was planning on changing my phone number because of all the robot calls and text however this app has actually made my phone last active. Nothing to loose if your getting way too many spam Text. Give it a try.
Wish I had installed it sooner!. I was getting tons of text spam at all hours of the day and night. Once I installed this app it stopped 98% of them. One text snuck through - a super creepy photo with no text - but that’s the only one. However I did notice it sometimes blocks texts I actually want or need, like if a business I use texts me a link. Other than that I am thrilled with how it works and wish I had installed it sooner.
Finally! This worked!. Stupid spam/sex/dating texts were driving me crazy. Nothing worked. Gave this a try and they stopped on my iPhone, but not my watch. Support quickly had me update my watch and now all numbers I report, go straight to junk and I don’t see them! It costs a few bucks, but it’s worth the time I spent reporting them only to have them continue. 5 stars for support!
Almost perfect. Actually works on iPhone 6 better than built in “unknown” iPhone sender junk filter which was letting in spam text from email senders even though they were not in my contacts!. TextKiller Moves email sourced SMS to the iPhone junk folder. Have not noticed if MMS is filtered. Too bad they are simply moved to junk folder and still flags as unread vs automatically making as unread and moved to trash, preferred. That would have been 5 *.
Text killer. I’m confused- I was trying to re-instate a daily daily devotional text that I received from Max Lucado that I did not have want removed. However I have not been able to get this put back on my list. Also I continue to receive ads, etc-2 today that I had to delete. I appreciate the long list you have stopped but would like to reinstall the Max Lucado devotionals. Thank you for any help you may be able to offer.
It takes some tweaking. I turned on smart blocking, and added keywords, but I would still get notifications when unwanted texts came through. I went into my phone settings and turned off notifications from unknown callers, which works - but I’m also not getting notifications for texts I do want but aren’t in my contacts. Other than adding adding those numbers to my contacts, I’m not sure how to get notifications.
Elated!!! Peace!!! Relief!!!. I’ve had spam texts plague my cell phone number since I got it. Called my carrier multiple times for help. Told to get their app or get a new number. Tried my carrier’s app but it didn’t work. The number was already listed on the national do not call registry. No, I didn’t respond to any of the nuisance texts. Day after day for the past 9 months I sent each text to SPAM and blocked the numbers. It got worse this week- I had 6 text messages in one day, some with an email instead of a phone number. I’d had it! I removed my carrier’s app. Searching the App Store I found TextKiller. Read the reviews and got it. Peace!!! I have gone 24 hours without an unwanted text message. Relief!!! I cannot thank TextKiller enough.
This actually does what it says it will! 👍. I was being harassed by a group text hacker, two to three times a day for several months. Not only were the frequent messagings intrusive; the content of said messages were all vulgar as well. After trying the usual “go to” remedies-without any luck at all- I somehow stumbled upon this app. Truly a Godsend. If you are being harassed by unwanted texts, do yourself a favor and download this app. You’ll be relieved you did!
Absolutely Works!. I can’t believe how well this app works. I have only received 1 spam text since I signed up about 3 weeks ago and they questioned that text. I have tried other apps previously and they never worked. I went from 10-22 spam text messages a day to ZERO immediately. Well worth the yearly subscription charge!!!!
Didn’t work well for me... So far this is only blocking about 5-10% of spam/unknown texts and half of the ones it does block are texts from pharmacies or stores, etc. that I subscribed to. I’m fine if it blocks all of those though, as long as it blocks the 20 annoying texts a day as well... but doesn’t seem to be catching very many of mine at all :-/ Three stars because it was easy to install and configure and I think it could be better if there was a way to mark a number as spam to alert them of new issues too.
Close. Almost perfect. Just needs a little user and creator tweaking. When I set it up with block words it worked great right out of the gate but later it let a few of the type of texts through that I was trying to block. Later with a little more tweaking it seems to be working better. Keep the improvements coming.
Needs an update. App hasn’t been updated in 9 months. By contrast, their other app seems to have very recent updates. When I go into the app it says something went wrong and asks me to turn it on in the settings even though it is already turned on. I have no hope this will get fixed anytime soon but my subscription is already payed for the year. It may still be blocking texts. Otherwise I would give it less stars.
My phone was under attack!. I felt like I was receiving a dozen sexually explicit spam texts every day. I purchase this app and within the last week it has blocked almost 100 spam messages from my inbox. Love it! The only thing I wish they would improve is I still receive messages from others in the same text thread who are responding 'stop' or lots of profanities to get the robo sender to stop sending. Is there a way to block all of the numbers that are in the text thread and not just the sender?
Amazing!. I installed this app about an hour ago after Verizon was hit with a huge influx of spam texters. I’ve gotten dozens over the past couple of days at all hours. Blocking them does nothing. I read the reviews on Verizon’s $3 a month app to block spam and decided to find something else. Well in the hour I’ve had TextKiller, it’s zapped 2 spam messages.
Unique Text Blocking!!. I find this app for me to be a outstanding 5 star app! It truly works for me with know problem that I have found! I see the bad report people have sent and not sure why all the negative comment being reported! Don’t know the Device they are using or the phone service they have! I have found for myself this makes a difference. Anyway I feel this is a unique app that Works and I think if you’re thinking about downloading it Do It I don’t feel you will be disappointed! (Really)
Excellent App. I have no complaints. This app is easy to use. I didn’t want the inappropriate text messages that I never signed until to receive. I didn’t want spam. You have an option to block spam calls & then keywords. It works. It will also block scam messages saying stimulus check claim here or you’ve won something etc. Get the App you will love it.
No more political texts. I was getting bombarded woth politcal texts asking for donations or to take surveys. They all said “stop to end” but I didn’t trust that they were really from campaigns/super pacs or just scams trying to see which numbers are active. Id report them as junk but I was still getting dozens a day. I downloaded this app and, after a few trial and errors, finally blocked the word “stop” and havent gotten one since.
Works so far!. I was getting very sexually oriented group text messages, 20 in the group. I have so many blocked numbers and email addresses because of it. I was getting these messages all times of the days and night. Very frustrating to say the least, and my carrier was not helpful at all. I’m so glad this is working. Well worth the $3.99 a month to stop these ugly messages.
