Works okay but......... Been using the older version of the app on my iPhone. Downloaded 2.0 for my iPad, but every time I try and login to my Vimeo producer account using my email address it doesn’t work. Idk what to do, I was really looking forward to use it with my iPad. Please help!

Another live stream ruined. Both the app and hardware are stylishly designed and seem to check all the boxes on features, but don’t do it! It’s nice when it works but it is prone to random disconnects with no possibility of reconnecting during the session. This happens even with rock-solid 5GHz WiFi. It’s also strange that the app demands that Location Services be enabled. That has nothing to do with connecting reliably to a WiFi network. If you go for it anyway, make sure you have other cameras at the ready and use OBS so you can cut over in real time when the Mevo quits on you mid-stream.

Boost firmware update sits and spins. App starts and indicates there is a Boost firmware update. I proceed, update appears to start, a spinner is displayed, and firmware update never completes. I go through this every time I start the camera / app. So frustrating.

Come on. Awesome idea for technology but not there yet. It was time for a shoot and the app 2.0 doesnt open. We could definitely use this device if it worked

New Mevo App Update for Mevo core - Don’t Update your App. New app update causes many big issues with Mevo Start. These are just a few I found so far. 1. Camera is not recording even though it shows it is. Nothing on SD card when you get done. 2. If app disconnects from camera, you can’t reconnect. App says “already in use. Disconnect other device.” 3. Camera shut down in settings does not work. 4. App settings for changing picture presets. Outdoor, normal…. Is now a thumb wheel. You can’t see the options on a phone without having it change when you touch the thumb wheel. Bad design. No consideration for how people will be using this. These issues are just for simple connecting to the camera and recording. I’m afraid what will happen when I try to stream. Overall - Complete fail on this update. PLEASE fix this quickly.

No more support for Studio software. These cameras where great, once again a company ruins the product with a bogus firmware update! A few updates ago they decided to end support with the Livestream-Vimeo studio software, this is complete bull, these camera worked flawless with the software. Luckily you can still roll back the firmware so they work once again in the software or use NDI, but otherwise this was a stupid decision that makes zero sense, very disappointed!

Mevo issues with upgrade features. I don't have access to features I once had, but I'm being charged for it. I've tried everything but my mevo when I'm logged in says basic!!! Not OK

Garbage Uodate. App worked fine till the app and firmware update. Now it’s totally useless. Can update to firmware 2.2.22 or connect to the camera. Plugged in as webcam it now shuts off every 10 min in the middle being plugged in to USB and with full power. Too bad, wasted $400 on the camera and this garbage app.

Update turned downgrade. We have been using Mevo for several years, and we’re very pleased with its performance and ease of use. We do many recordings of classes and teachings, and we live stream our church services, as well. During many of our teaching classes, we use iPhones or iPads as external microphones to record in different parts of the room for questions and answers. BUT, with this latest firmware update, Mevo has decided to take the external microphone feature away from Mevo users, and now only make it available through a subscription to Mevo Pro. I do not mind the firmware updates, and I actually appreciate them when they add new features and bug fixes, but to do an update to take away a feature that was already offered at no cost, and now charge for it is uncalled for and unprofessional, and very unappreciated. We still like our Mevo but we are very disappointed in this “business” decision to take away features that have been offered at no cost for years and now force users to pay for them. Shame on you Logitech!

This App Doesn’t Work. We’ve had our Mevo for some time. Before the move out 2 .0. We previously used the app title “Mevo” which still works fine except that it keeps sending me a message saying that this is a legacy app please use the app “Mevo 2.0”. But when I try using the app it connects to the camera but then says that there is a firmware update required, but then begins trying to upload the firmware and runs into an error. This happened in the middle of an event of which I tested the camera the day before using the old app. During the event it wouldn’t let me use the old app and told me to download the new app and I did and it failed in the middle of an event... for $700 I expected this camera to be reliable but with every turn there seems to be a problem.

Frustrated. I’ll start by saying I’m not one to write reviews. This may be the first of my life…My church has been using the MEVO for close to a year and have had very few problems—before today would have probably given the app and camera 4 stars. But this morning I was forced into a firmware update 10 min before the start of our Sunday Service. Not cool. Somehow I was able to complete it, but not in time to troubleshoot a new connectivity issue, and we had to proceed without it—no livestream. I am now unable to connect to the camera through our local WiFi, only through the camera hotspot, which is a problem because it means I can’t connect to other devices on the LAN. Every time I try to connect, the app gives me a message that the camera is not responding. I’ve spent almost all afternoon trying everything I can think of, from connecting through other devices, to factory reset, to reinstalling the firmware update and reinstalling the app, multiple times. No change. Maybe I missed something. Hoping this is a bug that will be fixed with a (very near) future update.

Mevo is the best. I use it for a daily podcast and as backup for our main cameras at our church. I love the quality of the picture and sound and how easy and practical it is to use. It’s worth every penny. Thanks Mevo

Vimeo producer. I have an iPad with mevo 2.0,,, just bought Vimeo producer and nothing happen...plis help...

Wonky AF. Set up is quite confusing, and keeping it linked to the audio mixer is a frustrating chore that is inconsistent at best. App control for the camera is counter intuitive and so choppy it is unusable. I wish I could plug it in and not use this app.

Verification is inefficient. I had trouble getting in to stream because I had to verify my email, doesn’t work well when you have 50 iPads

From good to bad. Early on this was an awesome app and device. However, the most recent updates make it unusable and the app or device crashes or disconnects constantly. I regret my purchase.

2.0 Not So Hot. Been using a Mevo for a while, but the new update left me dead in the water. If and when it connects I get a still image and a locked app.

laungage problem.. I was trying to use Vimeo producer on Mevo app. but i just found it out, for caption writing, mevo app support only English? looks like i can't type any other laungage except english for caption and mevo app can't read other lauguage?

A bug?. I think the app got a bug. I am trying to get a static frame but the camera is zooming in and out by itself. This is affecting my live streaming. It seems like there is no way to control the camera right now. I am not using the find faces or live follow option, and yet, it is acting up. Please, fix it as soon as possible

Great idea. App doesn’t stream to my selected page. App doesn’t alway record video for backup. Did record to backup no audio. Lost all confidence of on camera talent and their guests. I can’t get the Rtmp key from my phone so on location can’t be done for a fix. None stop error message while the show is happening error from Facebook reads: your stream has stopped. There was an issue with the streaming. Select new destination to resume. No, I should need to select a different destination I bought these to stream through the page I selected.?.?.?.?.? These are total garbage. Forums don’t help.

NDI. I use the Mevo all the time for work as a NDI source, easy to use interface, and great camera quality for such a small package.

New app crashes.. Two weeks in a row after getting the new 2.0 app our live stream during church crashed. If this happens another week I’m going to expect either a serious fix or a refund. Be warned!

Issues. Hello. I have been using the previous app for almost 3 years. With this new version I was not able to have my regular Facebook live and I had used my phone.

Horrible since the update. The version 3 update has absolutely ruined the interface, I can no longer control the camera at all, or even connect to it.

Never connects. This is a nice little camera, but it NEVER connects and so it is incredibly frustrating to start and stop--let alone make any changes to the camera settings. I've given up even using it for my kids' games, which is why I bought it. Save yourself the trouble and get a GoPro.

Very bad WiFi and Ethernet connection. When I can connect, the signal is interrupted, both wifi and ethernet. Sometimes it gives an error and says that Mevo Start is not responding and cannot connect. Well disappointed for a camera of that price. I was hoping it would be as advertised

2.0 version is not working. Since I downloaded the new version I have not been able to connect. One I hit the connect button the app change from ready to busy and after a while I receive an unable to connect message. 😡. PLEASE FIX THIS

Camera won't connect to the app after firmware update. we are in the middle of a volleyball tournament. I am our team's only videographer. I'm using a Mevo Start I bought almost a year ago. Everything has worked really well until the latest firmware update showed up. Now, guess what? The camera has stopped connecting to the app and will not accept a new firmware update. I've reset the camera; I've reset the firmware; I did a hard reset of the camera with the pin hole reset button. Nothing has changed. It's like the camera is frozen, and won't communicate with anything. Logitech's reputation is on the line here. I'm stuck in the middle of a tournament with the only recording device available to capture the footage we need for coaches and players to review for the next, larger tournament and with the buggy firmware update, the Mevo is no better than a $400 brick. One would think that for a multimillion dollar international corporation something as simple as firmware updates would be worked out, then tested in advance so that bugs in connectivity controls would be the least of the issues. One would think. MEVO is all about being a content streaming system that connects the camera to the audience on a variety of wifi, social media and internet platforms through a robust app and software protocol. Very disappointing.

App closing on it own. The app is not opening it just closing on it own, no time to click anywhere

Kept crashing tonight. The Mevo 2.0 app which I downloaded a week or so ago kept crashing tonight. It’s the first time this has happened in a little over a year of me using your product. Just wanted to let you know so you can fix any problem on your end.

Really frustrating. Cannot update firmware. Stuck.. This has not been a good experience. First, my Mevo start constantly would turn off after a few seconds. Then I was directed to the wrong app and could not make anything work. Finally I found the correct app, and after connecting to the camera yet again, it told me I need to do a firmware update. But every time I tried to do the firmware update, it told me that the update failed because the URL was not supported. It would not let me continue until I updated the firmware, but would not let me update the firmware. So basically the camera and the app are useless to me right now.

App is trash. Upon opening the app it immediately hijacks my iPhone so that everything displays horizontally. Furthermore, I cannot close the Mevo app nor switch to another app with traditional swiping techniques. Effectively I have to restart my phone every time I am done using this app, and I cannot perform other phone functions while using my Mevo.

Love it, but it couldn’t connect to Facebook. I’ve been using this since the first version of the app, then updated to the 2.0 version and everything was working fine until today when the app auto-updated itself and I started experiencing a loop while attempting to update Facebook permissions. :(

Mevo app. I just began to use the app about one week ago, and it has been working well for me!

Must Turn-Off Wifi. Had to turn off Wifi in order for the v2 App to work the first time, then had to upgrade the Mevo firmware. It works now but what a surprise it was for a Mother’s Day video. They should allow more features like on screen text

Update Nightmare. Since the recent update, I’m not able to use the camera. The connection between the app, internet, and camera is very unstable. It will not let me use Ethernet anymore. Just awful.

Location access. Require location permission for connect to camera.

I don’t get all the positive reviews. I bought the Mevo start setup for the supposed ease of use app. Took an entire day trying to connect the cameras having to bounce back between the 2.0 and Multicam apps… finally got them all to work and went to use the system a few days later only to find I had to “setup” the cameras all over again and could nor get them to connect again… huge hassle - excellent concept poor execution. Customer service is very timely and helpful but unless u like trading a ton of emails there is no phone support - also not a plus. Great marketing nifty concept - maybe I’m one of the few with problems I really wanted these to work.

Poorly written app. Audio input selection difficult to find. The app arbitrarily decided to switch to the inferior built-in mic in the camera instead of what we normally use, a usb mixer into the iPad input. Struggled to find the way to switch it back. Tried the mic icon several times before seeing the mixer settings at the extreme bottom, allowing me to finally mute the Mevo mic we didn’t want. Several other annoying issues with this thing have crept up over the life of ownership of it. I wouldn’t recommend. Nice idea, poorly executed in iOS.

Love The Mevo just can’t get it to work. I love what’s it’s capable of doing I just can’t get it to do it. It has connection problems it’s difficult to get it connected. So for the most part I just leave it on a stand.

Firmware Update. After downloading firmware update for 2.0 I cannot broadcast using my local WiFi. I attempted to use the old version but it did not allow me access.

Latest update has connection issues. Didn’t have so many issues before this July update. Now I keep getting a connection warning and my stream quality has reduced. Please fix!

Connectivity Issues. I just received my Mevo Start “May 15th 2020” I just started having connectivity issues, Sometimes it will connect to the app and somethings it will not. I currently have Spectrum Business Internet. Are other people having issues with this new app?

Lost connection!. My House of Worship has used Mevo for the past year or so with little to no problem. However, that changed today. We lost connection mid-service, lost the live stream, and now the camera refuses to communicate its the app. Not to mention this only started after a forced firmware update, very FRUSTRATING!

Primitive and unintuitive. This app has limited function and is entirely unintuitive. Not to mention the bugs. Connections are never seamless and graphic elements are overly simple and bug out frequently. Would like to connect to the camera straight from the livestream software or otherwise on my pic so I don’t have to use this app anymore.

Works fine, for uncomplicated setups. If you have one MEVO cam, it works fine and easy to use. Works fine with Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. But if you want to have multiple cameras, it can get tricky, even if you have two cameras of the same model. But it improves over time, so I’m confident. BlackMagic system is way superior, but cost a lot more.

Not what I thought it would be. I can never get it to connect to my phone and the camera is grainy

Audio Issues. I’m frustrated with how difficult it is to get audio from a mixer to the mevo. I’ve been trying for over a year and I can’t make anything work.

Facebook problems. This worked beautifully until last week we were streaming and it went into a loop trying to connect to Facebook. We ended up just streaming to YouTube. Hoping updates will fix the problem.

I should of read the reviews first. I updated to Mevo 2.crap and did the upcrapdate that killed my Mevo. Unfkking believable how this is not reconnecting even though it worked perfectly b4 the update. PLEASE FIX THIS SO I CAN USE MY MEVO!

Computer app. Can we get a computer app to work with? It’s a pain in the ass working the camera all from the phone

When I log into my FB it doesn’t list my pages. It does work on my Android phone but not my iPhone.. On my iPhone my FB pages don’t show up

Latest version has a bug. Since updating I can no longer stream to saved Vimeo events using IOS app.

What happened???. I loved our Mevo! Used for covid for 18 months and then a firmware update and now we can no longer connect to our mevo or use it for our live-streams! Help!!!

Updates often kick us off. Yet another Sunday where a technician updated without realizing it would upset the livestream Sunday morning. Wish we could stream from Camera to Youtube direct. Wish we could record on camera SD card even while running through cable to Widows with OBS. Wish Windows and OBS worked without cables. Wish OBS and Mevo worked better when updated without having to go through this.

App will not load on my iPhone. We had the Mevo app on my iPhone 7 and it was working perfectly, then with the app required an update, after the update the app would not launch. Deleted the app from my phone to load it back on to my iPhone. Now the app won’t even give me an option to load it back on my phone. I have an iPhone 7 and have the most up to date software update as of today (5/24/2023). Not happy at all that I would need to purchase a new phone to use the Mevo equipment.

Cannot watch the game.. Why can’t the camera stream the game to me so I can watch it?

Almost perfect.. I was very glad to purchase a Mevo Start and I love the camera however, I was very disappointed to find out; that to use basic Overlay graphics such as lower thirds etc. You need to pay extra via a subscription! That to me is very disappointing specially on a camera that costs $400. There are FREE apps that stream to Facebook etc (even to multiple destinations that allow all kinds of graphics (lower thirds etc) without the need to pay a cent PRISM is an app that allows lower thirds, timers, graphics etc while recording and live streaming to Facebook or any social media page via the iPhone or iPad obviously it does not have the pseudo camera switcher features that MEVO has however, I’m using such an app as an example. Why exclude such basic graphic features and make the user pay extra via an annual subscription. I was very very disappointed at the lack of graphics something that is basic and should be included for free. Some of my live-streams will still have to be made with my iPhone using prism cause I really need a lower third. And when I shoot with the MeVO Start I’ll have to record to an SD card (NOT included) And add the lower thirds on an editing program. And while I’m sharing my dissatisfaction Mevo doesn’t send it’s $400 camera with a case or SD card something that frankly I think should be included. In the positive side, the app works well as a pseudo switcher you do have to twick the colors of the camera to enhance the picture since I find it a bit flat. The microphones are decent in a quite environment and I like the fact that you can use an Audio interface through the USB port. Audio meters in the app work well and the size of the camera and design is brilliant! I’m just disappointed That no graphics are included in a package that should include them. I really couldn't care less to livestream to multiple destinations. But a camera that claims to act as a switcher and does not include pic in pic and lower thirds is not really a switcher is it?

Mic input kept losing connection.... I have the blue yeti and connected the usb-c cord into the back of the camera and the connection kept dropping, even thought everything is connected

Charged me $900 after I logged into existing premium account. My employer purchased a license to Vimeo premium and I was using this app to log into that, and I declined the purchase on Apple before doing so. First of all, why does it assume that I want to make that $899 purchase in such a bold way? Most people are going to sign up through the web, and not buy that $900 on the app. For the app to make that presumption, it’s faulty logic to begin with. To make it so easy to make a mistake? Not cool. That said, when that screen came up, I declined the purchase, and chose to login, authenticating my account. But after I logged in, that purchase screen came up again and I didn’t even look at it, assuming I was just accepting terms and conditions, and it charged me $900. Why would I do that when I was already logged in to a premium account? That really should not be possible. Yet, now I am charged $900 on my personal credit card, when I was already logged into my employer’s premium Vimeo account. That’s a horrible user experience. Feedback: one, don’t presume that users want to buy through the app. Make that an option that you have to work at, not the default. Considering that’s a premium account, it’s likely a business transaction anyway. Most would do that via the website. Two, if someone is already logged in, there should be no way for them to purchase another account. How is that even possible? It’s what happened to me. That’s beyond flawed from a user experience standpoint. Three, this is the Mevo camera and the Mevo app. This is for a piece of hardware. Why and how am I being charged for Vimeo software, a completely different brand and app. Maybe Vimeo owns Mevo (?), but if I wanted to pay $900 for Vimeo, I would use the Vimeo app. More to the point, I would go to their website and make the transaction, which is what my employer did. I would never expect to pay enterprise price for a piece of another brand’s software when I’m using the app for hardware. Seriously... what’s up with that? Bait and switch, anyone? Finally, and this is on Apple, there should be no way a $900 transaction via the Apple store as easy to buy as a $.99 song. That’s utterly ridiculous. If I don’t get my money back, I will be beyond upset. Overall, given the points above, this is profoundly one of the worst user experiences I’ve ever had. Right up there with being stranded in an airport at 1 AM because the airlines made false promises.

Not for iPad Pro 4th Gen (2020). I used the Mevo Start with an old iPad 2 with no problems. Decided to splurge on a new iPad Pro 12.9 (2020) and MagicKeyboard so I could work with my overlays better while streaming live baseball games of my kids. Brought the new iPad Pro home and tried to connect to the Mevo only to find out it can’t connect. I have been searching the internet to see if it was an issue with my camera, my iPad, or both. Finally found the page on the Mevo site that shows compatible devices and lo-and-behold, the new iPad Pro (2020) is not listed as a compatible device! How is this even possible?!?!?! So, basically I spent $1500 to get a nicer setup for the Mevo and can’t even use it. I guess I will be returning everything and looking for a better solution.

Works well, needs work. Overall the app works well, setting up the camera can be a little finicky but after a few retries and a camera reset the app and Mevo agreed to speak to each other. One annoying setting I had to disable immediately was the auto shutdown of the camera after 15 minutes (which of course happened midway during my first call with the Mevo). The biggest drawback of the app is that it only operates in landscape mode. If you, like me, have your phone on a stand next to your computer this works rather awkward by constantly having to rotate the phone when you want to change e.g. the Mevo’s zoom setting. I see two solutions: add a “quick settings” UI in portrait mode while keeping the more elaborate UI in landscape mode, or add features to the desktop/menubar app to tweak settings like zoom, exposure etc (the current menubar app does nothing other than presenting the tethered camera as a camera to the OS). Finally, the creation and management of zoom presets in the app needs a UI overhaul. It’s a hit and miss show with unclear long-press actions and vague results exacerbated by the inability to name zoom settings (instead they’re presented in a thumbnail gallery of indistinguishable zoom settings). Dear product owner: Sometimes there’s nothing wrong with using text/titles for actions and named results in user interfaces. Other than these small issues: the camera is a marvel (sharp image) and works well with tools like Hangout, Zoom, and Slack. Its microphone is also very good and picks up your voice in a clear way.

Extremely disappointed!. I am SO disgusted with the Mevo and app, I had issues connecting with the previous version and haven’t been able to connect with 2.0 since I downloaded it. I just purchased $100.00 camera that is working better than this. If I wasn’t past warranty phase I would return it. This camera is TO costly not to work properly especially considering I purchased the entire kit!😤

Well the update is much appreciated… and a manifesto of I would likes.. This update has been both nice and annoying. I’m finally getting around over here to make a comment. It cleaned up some things of the app but it’s also kind of confused things. Like connecting, I fought with it both on android and iOS to connect until I realized it’s not connecting because for some reason my tablet was on the wrong/right Wi-Fi/network and cable wasn’t plugged in. I in a way like the tabs to choose Wi-Fi and cellular and don’t because it’s one more step that Has to be done when connecting. I think it would be better to have four squares Wi-Fi, cellular ethernet with a little diagram in them, and a title under them and just tap the one you want. It would also be really nice if Win unplugging the USB cable to the ethernet adapter. It would auto switch to a within range Wi-Fi connection. It does have a preferred previously connected list so I don’t see why this wouldn’t be a problem. I am envisioning oh Hey there’s action over there Let me grab the camera and move it, Oh no it’s not gonna be able to get there unless I unplug it and run on battery and use the Wi-Fi I already have set up. Also, I know that there’s a list of previously connected to networks I can see a menu option on android, which is now gone from iOS. So even on android I can’t remove networks I have connected to as when I tap it it brings up a box to remove which then instantly disappears before I can click it and on iOS the whole menu doesn’t exist Anymore. It would be nice if there was a way to control multiple cameras within one app say the multi cam for users who are bringing the cameras into OBS or similar, so one tablet can control multiple cameras without needing a tablet per camera. I haven’t use the streaming function from within the app in a while when I did use it two years ago it worked fairly well, but there’s also been a lot of changes in that regard. Otherwise, the app is fairly consistent Does what it does really well as long as your device doesn’t lose the connection for some reason cheap android tablets. It’s a very functional app. I was a little worried about the acquisition, but so far things seem to be going well. they’ve both removed and added and removed and added some of the more advanced features which I have unfortunately not gotten around to using. it would also be nice if there was some way to automatically start/stop sd card recording on multiple cameras for those of us who are using the NDI function, which makes the app/ camera combination, a killer and very useful set up in its price range. i’ve noticed some inconsistencies between iOS and android apps. The android app seems to be getting some more new features quicker at the expense of continuity and consistency between the two. Otherwise, it is fairly well thought out there’s some minor annoyances like the 2-3 clicks that it takes to get into settings which could be refined.
