Hard time signing in. Ever since the digital sign in the app hasn’t allowed me to sign in seems there is no update for this I’ve been using website. Anyone having issues like that.

Great idea, but late to the party. How is it that ez pass comes out with an app YEARS late when almost everything has an app? That alone tells you a lot about the people that run this agency, inefficient id the word. But the review is about the app, well, I like the app, it’s easy to use, not science to it and up to now I have not had any technical issues with it. The only complaint that I have are two things: - It automatically turns on parking pay, means that ez pass is also used to pay for parking at airports. - if you add a credit card, be careful, whatever your threshold is, that’s how much money is going to be withdrawn AUTOMATICALLY without your consent, so don’t add a credit card unless you want them to withdraw money from your card. You can’t delete the card from the app or website, you need to call ez pass in order to do that, and we all know how slow and tedious that can be, specially with their customer service that enjoy their job

Bad not user friendly at all. Government app should be user friendly and I expected it to be modern. This doesn’t look like it has been updated. Nobody was looking into it. Also, the website as well, everytime you want to go back, it signs you off and has to sign in over and over again.

Wow. You guys actually shelled out the money for a good app experience. Ezpass website is trash reserved for the most vile. The app on the otherhand, looks like it has been made by a thirdparty contractor. And I gotta say, it looks good!

Can’t sign up. Tried to sign up several times for 3 days. It works fine up until the point where it says to select the amount of tags. As soon as I put that amount above zero it tells me the site is unavailable try again later. This also happens on the regular website.

Doesn’t work now.. I’ve been using for a while and it’s worked fine. Unfortunately, with the latest update, I can’t login with my fingerprint. The pop-up window cycles between asking me to use fingerprint and telling me it didn’t work. I can’t do anything else. Fix that and I can go back to liking it.

Continually Unavailable. Zero stars. It is completely non-functional. Each time I try and check out a “service is currently unavailable” error is shown. What an embarrassment it must be for a company to get a contract and deliver a broken app. Well, an embarrassment for the tax payers. It seems the developers are happy with the arrangement.

Can’t register!. I’ve downloaded and signed in then tried to put in my 3 security questions. Deleted the app and reinstalled it 3 times— and still I haven’t been able to get past that page. It needs more work.

Bad app so far. It’s not letting me log in after 3 mins of waiting and I know I have an account online set up already and been using E-ZPASS for a year now. This has to be a bug that can be fixed and maybe once I have access it will get a better rating but for its a bad experience to start off with

Obvious features missing= theft of money. So why can’t you guys add a feature to cancel auto payments, on top of that jumping my “auto replenish payments” up to $90. If it’s so hard to reach you guys to figure such a simple issue even going online then it’s plane simple. Just a theft of money. You have no idea how much of an inconvenience it can be to have 90$ be subtracted from your account when you’re not even around the amount of having no money to pay. Also why do YOU guys makes a. Decision like that? It’s our money not yours

Customer service failure. Aside from Comcast, who is the undisputed champion of inept customer service, EZ Pass is right up there. An hour and 45 minutes to reach a representative on a Tuesday at noon. Lovely experience, capped off with a 30 second loop explaining that I can go to the webpage if I’d like to get this done faster. Rubbing in the point they do not offer this service on their website. Really bad job here, blatant disregard for customers

Does not show you actual balance. It only shows you your last balance from the last toll you went thru. If you put money on your account it takes 24 hours to apply even though when you go through the toll booth it says EZ Pass paid. Example: you go through it all, it says call service center, you log on and see that your “balance“ is -$1.12. You add $50 on. you continue driving for the rest of the day, and you only see the message “low balance.” You think you’ve paid the tolls for the day. Nope. You will get violations on all your tolls from that day. Those tolls go on your “account” which does not effect the amount on the app. The app only shows the balance from the last toll you went through before the “call service center” message. So even when you put money on your “account” through the app, it takes 24 hours to apply it. And every toll you go through during that 24 hour period will be a violation.

Does this ever work?. All I want to see is what my individual toll charges were for an expense report. Every time I use this the server is down or very slow. Typical NJ government, have no problem taking your money and they only make living here worse each day. Can’t wait to leave this state and go somewhere that will give me paper bags when I am grocery shopping.

App stopped working after latest update. The app stopped working after updating to the current version. The Face ID crashes and I am unable to get into my account via password.

Unusable. It does not even operate properly. You try to make a payment and then doesn't accept the payment. You then have to hope the payment didn't ho through on your banks end and you have to try and verify if it went through to ezpass or not.

Rental car effective date not able to set up!!. The effective start datetime and end dayetime is always not correct in rental car panel!! This should not be a corner case in software testing. How can this happen?!

Finally!. Its about time! God their website is horrible to use however this app makes things a 1000 times easier. The only feature I was not able to access (yet) on this app was viewing/paying/disputing a violation. I only hope thats as easy as everything else on the app is to use.

Tag request does not work. I just downloaded the EZ pass app with the intention to request a new tag for my additional vehicle, but the request tag function does not work. Instead, i get an error message that the server is unavailable. I know that is not so because I was able to add my new vehicle, check my balance and account activity- but could not request a new tag. Even after signing off and back in again, I continue to get the error message - just by selecting the “tags” option.

No Face ID or Minimum Balance Alert. This is my second review since downloading the app about a week ago, the initial problem I was having was my inability to sign in to the app once it was downloaded it kept timing out, that’s no longer a problem but it would have been great if the developers would have added FACE ID to be able to sign in quickly without having to remember, then typing in a password each time. Also it would be nice for the users to be able to set an minimum balance Alert notification that would allow them to add money to their account prior to reaching the Replenishment Threshold and money being snatched from your credit card unexpectedly. Thanks for your response regarding signing in to the app using FACE ID be way of “Biometrics,” I had no idea what “biometric” is/was, maybe some people are aware of that but not everyone... i.e. “me.” Are there any plans to add a feature to the app for the customer to be able to set an alert or notification when their balance reach a limit set by them so that they are able to add funds to their account prior to their credit card being charged?

Easier replenish. Finally, an app and it takes 2 mins to replenish thanks to Apple Pay. I like this.

Could be better. Capabilities feel limited. I wish you could manage or change your replenishment threshold. It seems you cant. I also wish transactions clearly visualized whats a deduction vs whats an addition to the account.

Can’t really perform any meaningful actions. Please use a professional agency to create a user friendly app that doesn’t cause nervous breakdowns. I have no way to close my account, unsubscribe from payments and get my money back from my balance

Add automatic deductions on specified dates. I’d like to automatically transfer money into my account for a specified amount on a reoccurring basses. This will help keep my account positive and also avoid excessive deductions from my CC. Please do this ! I’m surprised NJ EZ Pass hasn’t been sued for their predatory fees.

Charged twice. There have been two separate occasions when I replenished my account via the app, and I was charged twice both times for the same amount. Luckily, I had the funds, but that’s not always the case. It doesn’t happen when I go to the website so I will be sticking to the web browser.

Can’t get into the app anymore. I’ve had E-ZPass NJ for a while now and just recently, about two weeks ago, the app keeps telling me that “Service is down. Try again later. “ I can’t get on to put money on my E-ZPass. Why have an app if you can’t get on it and pay. Now I have to call customer service and figure out a way to get on the app and pay my balance. The app is trash.

Terrible. The app can mess up and charge you double the amount you’re trying to replenish by. And when you send them a message about it, they never get back to you. Try your best to avoid ez-pass anything Edit after developer response: I did create a service request on the app, no one responded. It’s been a month… how about don’t make an app that can charge double the amount you’re trying to replenish

Great app!. To be honest I wasn’t expecting much given the state of the website .. however the mobile app is well thought out, clean, and responsive. Great job!

Nice App. Great first pass at this! Would love to clearly see the vehicle details associated with each transaction so I can easily see which car is causing the toll.

Server unavailable?. Way after just about everyone has an app for everything, NJ EZ-Pass developers who had enough time to get it right, yet they come out with this app that’s full of bugs. I have attempted to use the app many time and always get the error “Server Unavailable, please try again sometime”. This happens every time.

Must improve. About an hour to contact customer service, the app can’t connect to the server, about 2 weeks to reflect activity I really think they can do way better with the money they charge, why wait until everyone talks about how bad is it? is it really necessary? Where is the innovation spirit? Where is the vision?

What a great app!. I’ve used some other apps like this one but this one has worked the best by far! There is another app that seems to be fake but this is the official one from E-ZPass and it allows me to manage my account seamlessly! Looking forward to more updates!!

Not liking this app,. In plain English I will continue using the Via- mail. It freezes up its horrible I believe Apple doesn’t like this app. Nothing works I’m tired of putting all my info into this app. Then nothing works ..,Who’s to say this app can’t get hijacked too. I’ll use the mail thank you.

Pretty useless. I honestly thought they had upgraded to the 21st century & by downloading this app we could just use it as a tag to move between different cars. It absolutely does not do that. Alls it shows is your activity & billing. All of which for me are automated processes I’ve already set up with them through the website. Deleted the app.

Wow finally!. Just got the email about the app and of course downloaded it. I’ve been waiting a long time for this and finally It looks like I won’t need to go Online to the Website anymore. It was so cumbersome and half the time couldn’t log in. I just did a brief walk though of the app and it seems very easy to navigate and gives you the information you need right at your fingertips. Being that I, and probably most people, use their smart phone these days to check email and everything else this is a blessing. Thanks so much!

Doesn’t work. App doesn’t work. Always says service is down. I’ve tried all different days and times always doesn’t work. Just to note I ended up logging in on website instead. Recently Apple Pay has issues. Will not process Apple Pay when using Apple Card but it allowed a different card. Please fix these issues soon. Was great one time now everything is broke.

Finally. It has happened to me, right in front of my face, and I just cannot hide it.

NJ EZ pass is a joke and so is their app. I’ve tried numerous different times within the last few days to replenish my account and the “service is down” error message keeps appearing. This happens ALL THE TIME. I guess I’ll have to do it from the browser or call. Useless app

Bullies. Ez pass is a bunch of bullies ...I was just in a dispute with them they could care less your situation. I have had a replenishing account for a decade no issues and my bank freezes my account for a fraudulent activity which unknowingly stops my ez pass account from replenishing. Instead of them being considerate of my situation they charge me $700 in fines after I was willingly paying the tolls I didn’t realize wasn’t getting taken out on top of that it’s year with a pandemic and financial issues across the country. But who is not getting affected is ez pass in new jersey they actually raised the tolls. Some people on the phone understood my situation but whenever it got to a manager they where very cut and dry on the amount they were going to charge me with no repayment plan option. One manager was even so rude to hang up with him because I was trying to explain to him my situation and he couldn’t understand why I was upset. Again I think they are bunch of bullys no compassion

Okay but needs to be able to add multiple accounts.. We have two separate accounts and tags. This app only allows one account to be added. Please update the app!

Finally!!. It is about time there is an app for EZ pass!! Great app!! Has everything you need on the home screen. Able to use Face ID. Glad there is finally an app for quick and easy access to my account!

Unsupported device. My app was working perfectly fine and then I updated it and when I open the app now it says that my device is unsupported but my device says is supported according to the description. ( (IPhone XS Max iOS 14.3)

Easy to see transactions. It’s easy to see the transactions. Now I can tell how much toll roads cost me. Simple. This app does what it has to do. Thanks!

Nothing E-Z about this horrible app. Unable to stay logged in after sign in. States that the server has timed out and to try again later. When clicking the pay bill option, the app continuously says that there is no violation listed for the number provided, even if it is correct. What’s the point of the app if it doesn’t work???

Horrific app. Tried to pay a violation on the website, it couldn’t find it even with the violation number and license plate entered exactly as directed. I downloaded the app to create an ez pass account (violation says I can pay this way too!!), but midway through creating it, it says my vehicle has an unpaid violation that must be paid before opening an account. It then redirected me to the previous website. This app and the website must be intentionally kept at such a ridiculously low quality to ensure people are charged multiple admin and late fees since they can’t pay their violations.

A nice app. Too slow but at least now it is easily accessible from phone. User friendly and nice look. Make it faster, it will be great.

Can’t even sign up lol. I have an IPhone 14 and the app has crashed on me 4 times while trying to sign up. Closed all of my apps, restarted the device, it is fully updated, and it crashed a 4th time as I was putting in prepayment info. As a guy in tech, this is not it. At all.

Auto Pay Games. The app enrolled me in Auto Pay when I specifically hit the One Time Payment button. Also it will not let me unlink my card to the account. Developer please help. I’ve never had this problem in the past.

EZ Pass NJ. Developers let’s get this app above 3 stars. It has some bugs. The app doesn’t open sometimes and there are other issues that need to be updated and upgraded please.

Found two bugs. New user. I found two bugs: 1) if it is a rental car, the date/time fields are not operating properly. They are scroll inputs that you cannot override, yet you get an error message not accepting the input in the proper for the return. 2) I tried to add funds on my credit card and I get a “system busy, try again later” message. Looks like a full usability / UAT testing needs to be performed on all use cases.

About time. Been wondering if they was ever GonNa go mobile ... now I gotta try it out and see if it’s working right.

Doesn’t log in most of the time. It’s good when it works, but it continuously says I can’t be logged in, and that’s with and without face ID

FaceID doesnt work!. Face ID doesnt work even tho there is an icon for it. It doesnt show up in the phone settings to even turn on!

Biometrics. The Face ID it’s all messed up it just flashes on the screen you can’t do anything it won’t login this happened after the update before the update everything worked fine

The app doesn’t work anymore. The app doesn’t work it says they’re servicing the system every time you try and get in.

Trash. Doesn’t let me log in even if you have an account and when I try the “I forgot my password “ feature it does nothing. Go back to the drawing board E-ZPass

Access to photos. Why does the app ask access to my photos.?Sounds bizarre.

Won't log in. I'm not able to log in. I use different app from the store or the actual NJ EZpass website in order to take care of my account - this app won't even let me log into it.

A fee every time you add money DON'T DOWNLOAD. There is no cost to add money on the website. So why charge us a separate fee every time want to use the app? Rip-off I have never seen this before. But it doesn't surprise me because it NJ EZ Pass

Tedious setup. I can’t rate higher because it doesn’t even let me setup user account. Halfway through it froze up. A waste of time.

Signing in. For a week now i’ve been trying to sign in to the app to add money to my balance which is low but the app is not letting me sign in it keeps timing out wth is going on

App can’t tell time. Of course I wouldn’t expect anything less from a state run site. Will not let me add a vehicle for a rental when effective start date is clearly before effective end date. Put some work into your app EZPASS.

Worst app. Quite literally the worst app I’ve ever downloaded. 95% of the time it just says service down so I can never login. I have to delete the app and redownload it just for it to work.

Unable to long in. Unable to long in, after entering user name and password application session times out. I have attempted multiple times today having the same issue.

Service down forever. It worked when they launched the app first, but for the last couple of months it is useless because of the error. I can only assume they shut the app down.

Request Return envelopes to return tags. I need to send back 2 tags that I took off of my account. I can not find a way to request return envelopes for tags I need to send back. It shouldn’t be hard to find this option!

Can’t log in. Didn’t enable Face ID forgot my account info and I’m being charged $70 per week by EZ pass I’m not even driving around New York or New Jersey anymore and you cannot get someone on the phone such a scam. I live in Connecticut.

Executed poorly.. App looks clean and really easy to use. Too bad I can’t use it because the app is constantly crashing and takes forever to log in and when i do finally get logged in, my session expires almost immediately.

iPhone 12 max pro unsupported???. I can’t even sign up for an easy pass nor use the app. As soon as I launch the app it says my device is unsupported. An iPhone 12 max pro is unsupported??? God I hate New Jersey.

Apps never works. It has been months since the last time this app was working correctly. I think it has been for almost 6 or more months! Worst app!!!!

Won’t accept my plate. I have been trying to add a new vehicle. Every time I type in the license plate number and add additional information, it tells me to put in the license plate number when I try to save.

Cant sign in!. I can’t sign in/log in in the app! But I can and have signed in multiple times on my phone’s browser. Why? Do I need to create a separate account for the mobile app?..

Not working. Horrible. I removed the app from my phone. It doesn’t take the password and not recognizing me while the same login and password work well on the desktop

Very slow application. I got a notification to download this application. While using to order tag supplies it behaved extremely slow. Need tuning on their part.

Forgets login information. The app is as awful as the customer service. I switched from the New York after I moved. Mistake. Fewer discounts and the Trenton mandated toll texting functionality doesn’t exist.

Very unreliable. The usual when trying to sing in “Server unavailable, please try again after sometime”
