Questions on app. I love this app, but I just took the exam for Cpc with AAPC and the exam questions are completely different from what this app provides. Still gonna use this app, but I thought I’d just come on here and mention this. Maybe the app could update or revise the questions to be more of what the actual exam represents.

A lifesaver!. I just passed my ekg tech exam (well above pass rate). I got the premium and did all the questions and I felt so prepared when taking the test. Now I’m working towards my phlebotomy technician and my EMT (that app is amazing too). If you are looking for a great way to study look no further. This app has great questions that are very similar to those on the test and the premium is totally worth it.

Ptce exam. I love the questions. If you get the question right, the answer will turn green. If you get the question wrong, it will turn red and put the right answer green.

Passed the CDR. I am very grateful for this app and the convenience options to study on the go or take a practice exam. The best feature is being able to review the explanations after answering questions. Looking at my study tools I used to prepare for the CDR the pocket prep app prepared me for the test the best!!

Worked for me!. Got this app to study for the VTNE. I didn’t want to pour a lot of money into similar apps/programs that can be $100+. I chose this app’s 650 question subscription, and completed them all within 3 days. I passed my exam with flying colors. This app helped refresh my memory and it covered a wide range of topics. Very pleased with it and very thankful for it.

New app. I used to have the basic ptcb app and now they morphed it with this app for other tests to study for. It now doesn’t let you retake the same test but it’s still good quality

Helped me pass the PTCB!. Pretty good app here. Questions were either similar or harder than the actual test which helps prepare you for any curveballs the test might throw at you. The only problem is how expensive (but necessary) it is to reap the full benefits of this app. Also how expensive it is for studying just one test. I think the price could be lower but all in all, with a couple of other resources, it definitely played a role in my passing.

So grateful for this app. I failed my PTCB the first time. This app was recommended to me. I studied just about everyday for a little over 2 months. Today I passed the PTCB. It’s definitely worth the money. It made everything so easy to understand. I wish I could give it 10 stars

Perfect practice exam questions !. These questions are very similar to the RD exam & are super helpful! Each question has an explanation if you are confused which is SO helpful! Highly recommend to any RD2be!!

Great for on the go study!. I used this app to help me prepare for my RD exam. It helped me understand some of the concepts that were on my exam. When I couldn’t be at home with my study other materials, this app allowed me to study on the go. I passed my exam a few weeks ago!! The explanations to the answers were helpful. I have recommended this app to my cohorts that are also preparing off their exam.

Used this app primarily!. Used this app and upgraded to get all 800 questions for the pharmacy technician certification! TOTALLY WORTH IT! Used this app primarily, bought a book to study and didn’t even use it. Passed on my first attempt! Would totally recommend!

Good study guide. These questions make you think and go a little further than they probably need to in some cases. I like the explanations to the questions so can relearn a concept or formula that you may have or have had down correctly.

Not bad but not good either. Many questions contradict information found in textbooks and peer reviewed articles. Also the “explanations” are basically useless. Provides 0 explanation, rather just puts the answers in a sentence while mentioning that it is correct or incorrect. The questions are also very vague. Sometimes they even have multiple options that are right and again provides no explanation as to why the “wrong” option isn’t accepted as well

Waste of Money for NBCOT. So, I purchased the full pack because the 500 question bank sounded like a great way to go through practice questions, especially on the go. When I trialed the app, I thought the questions were pretty good, mostly knowledge based, but I thought there would be more variation in the other questions. However, after using the app more, nearly all questions are knowledge-based (memorization-type) questions rather than the application and clinic-based questions you actually need for the NBCOT exam. Yes, you need to know principles and theories, but you don’t need to memorize what each definition is (which is all this app really helps you practice with). Use your money for another resource!

Helping with the RD exam. This app on both my phone and iPad are amazing. Having such a robust diversity of questions to practice with any time I want is so helpful. Having the ability to focus on specific domains including the app tracking weaker areas to focus on is a game changer. Also the ability to do a full timed rd mock exam is amazing!! Best app to prepare for the rd exam by far!

Great supplemental resource. Great app! I took little test throughout school and after work. I love that you can create tests from specific domain to recall information after studying each section. I passed my RD exam on first try!

Wrong answers. Some answers are blatantly wrong. On one 10 question quiz, I had one question ask what temperature would an inventory tech leave medication that is labeled “keep cool” with the answer being “do not exceed 8 degrees Celsius.” This is fine. However, on the same quest just a few questions later, the question asks what temperature would an inventory tech keep medication labeled “keep cool” with the answer being “between 8 and 15 degrees Celsius”. This answer completely contradicts the prior one that says it cannot exceed 8 degrees. Find a different app to study from.

Fantastic. Used it to study for my NHA CCMA Exam 2 weeks before my exam just to keep refreshing some topics and the organization, reminders, easy use helped me stay on top of it and I passed first try ! ❤️

It ACTUALLY helps. This is not the first app I’ve tried to use to study for the NBCOT. While the questions aren’t exactly worded like the exam questions, the questions themselves are good and based from Therapy Ed which is a very reputable source. It’s motivating and very user friendly. Price is a little steep but if you’re only using it for a month or two it’s worth it.

Very helpful. I try to make sure I log on every day to take my daily quiz and at least once a week to do a mini quiz or weakest subject quiz. I take boards next week, so fingers crossed! I feel it’s been very helpful and teaching me not to second guess myself 🫠

Passed on the first try. I really liked the descriptions on the questions and how they explained each question option. I will say the questions seemed harder than the real NBCOT exam but they helped me develop clinical thinking skills to work through a variety of options! Great app and the computer interface was just as easy to navigate.

Convenient and helpful!. I used this app to study for the NBCOT exam and it was SO helpful. I used this app all the time! It was so convenient to have it on my phone so I could use it to study for long periods or just when I had a few spare minutes. The price is reasonable and I felt it was worth every penny!

Inexpensive practice questions. I used Pocket Prep alongside the Inman Guide to study for the CDR exam. (I passed!) It was great to have 1000 additional practice questions through Pocket Prep, but I think many of them need to be revised. I encountered multiple questions covering material I had never heard of before (and were not on my exam) and many that I did not agree with the “correct” answers. That said, I appreciated that Pocket Prep gave an explanation for every question, and I learned more from this than anything. For the price, this was a great resource and I would recommend anyone to use it, and just ignore the “weird” questions.

Can be used on laptop/desktop. I used this app for about 2-3 months to help study for a national registration exam to become a dietitian. I found the content very relevant and helpful. My only regret was not realizing I could log into the website using laptop or desktop computer... the particular exam I was studying for is separated into four different domains. Viewing the material on a desktop made it easier to see which questions were which from domain. I could then see my weaker/stronger areas. So yeah- great app! But better on desktop!

Great app. I like how they questions from most popular books like the PTCB simplified text book. I actually have the book & using the app helps me with memorizing stuff I already saw in the book.

Passed my exam on the first try. I am obsessed with this app! It was SUPER helpful in passing my CDR RD exam on the FIRST try!!! I love how it gives so many practice questions but my favorite part is the explanations that go along with them. It truly helps understand the question and why I got it wrong/right. I highly recommend this app to anyone studying for a big exam.

Huge improvement. This app changed a lot from a couple of years ago, and is far more useful now. The questions are better, more content is available.

A lifesaver for the RD exam. I loved using this app because of the detailed explanations it gives with each question. It will usually not only explain why the answer is correct, but also why the other options were incorrect. This was very helpful in not just learning the material but also in starting to think in terms of ruling things out on the exam itself. I love the features, specifically the missed questions section and the ability to keep stats on yourself. It brought out the competitive side and made me go to town to try to beat the community average and keep upping my percentage. Would definitely recommend for all RD2Bs!

Good, not great (free version). Love the new look, immediate feedback with explanations, and overall performance analysis. I wish that you could go back and do QOTD from the days prior. If I miss a day or two, It doesn’t let you go back. I know it’s the free version but you should AT LEAST have access to each day’s question, real time or past. Still helpful practice.( Haven’t taken the exam yet)

Incorrect information. This app used to have good questions to jog your memory. They weren’t difficult but were good for basic review. Recently, they added many questions that are just odd or horribly wrong. There are questions that have two correct answers, explanations that don’t match the selected answer and answers that are completely wrong. I used to like this app and now fee as though it is detrimental to studying for the NPTE. AVOID THIS APP!

Best app to study CPC. I downloaded this app a few days before taking my CPC exam. I subscribed for 1 month to get full access. Im so glad I did. You can choose different areas to study. You can choose to get details about the answers after your selection of the question. This helped me so much. I was able to make notes in my books. I passed my exam 1st try because of this app!!

The reason I passed!. I credit this app (and God) to me passing the CDR (RD) exam. Every aspect was helpful, but ESPECIALLY 1. The mock exams, 2. Explanations of the answers, down to the books and page numbers, and 3. The ability to access this through the web. I would highly recommend this app to anyone trying to pass an exam that they offer. The subscription is 100% worth it and the “pass guarantee” is no joke.

An absolute must for taking the PTCB exam!. This app was so so helpful for me leading up to the exam! It helps you pinpoint your weaknesses, and the format of the questions feels like the exam questions. It’s very easy to tell if you are making progress, which was very encouraging! (Especially since it is hard to tell if you are well prepared for this exam.) There was only one problem I had: I think one of the questions (“what is the angle degree the bevel of the needle should be when inserted into the rubber top of a vial?”) gives the wrong answer. It says 30 degrees, but my own textbooks and resources I looked up online say 45 degrees.

Community Score. Can we please have an option to turn off community scores on the quizzes? I’ve just started my studying and it’s discouraging to get lower scores and have to see everyone else’s. I get that some may like it, but I would like this to be an optional feature.

SO HELPFUL for RD exam. I used this app for about 16 weeks to study for the registration examination for dietitians. Seriously a life saver, it’s the only study material I used and I passed on the first try. I work full time and making significant chunks of time to study was hard. This app made it SO EASY to get studying in with the quick 10 quizzes and missed questions quizzes. Explanations were AWESOME and each questions had tons of review material in it. Please do yourself a favor and purchase this app.

Passed my RD exam!. I absolutely LOVE this app! I started studying for my RD exam about a month and a half ago, and decided to purchase the full version of this app… and I am SO glad I did! It is so affordable, and provides you with so many great questions and explanations that prepare you for the exam. I love how it breaks down your percentages in each domain, and allows you to create your own mock exams and practice tests! I did all 1,000 practice questions, and passed my exam! It asks questions just like how the exam would. If you are unsure about wether or not to use this app for studying for the RD exam, I say 1,000% use it! It helped me learn the material, practice my critical thinking, and pass the exam! Best of luck :)

Very Helpful. Used this app exclusively to practice for my PTCE (pharmacy tech certification exam). I’ve been putting this test off for a few years, and finally just scheduled it to kind of force myself into studying. I applied for the exam and downloaded this app on 8/4, and took the exam today and got a preliminary pass! The quizzes are wonderful and really did help me!

VTNE Prep. Used this app exclusively to prep for my VTNE. After looking into other study materials/apps, I decided to pay for this apps subscription. I used this app for the 2 weeks prior to my exam. Loved the format and how informational it was. Passed my exam on my first try, but would recommend using this in conjunction with other study materials for a broader range of information based on my exam experience.

Liked it, but pricey. This is a good app, but you cannot get much for free and the premium costs quite a bit. Not a great price point for students who are already enrolled in an expensive occupational therapy education program. Great product though, just wish it were more affordable!

AMAZING!. Studied for my RD exam using this app and the interface was absolutely seamless. I have 0 complaints and truly attribute more than half my success to using pocket prep for studying. Amazing app, and great/realistic exam like questions! Love the mock exams too and the way it simulates the real environment and allows for thorough review after. Highly recommend and is 100% worth the money if you are considering it. I passed my exam by a large margin on my first attempt using pocket prep!

Major help to my study game!. I would say this app was the largest contributor to my success, I passed my exam today and pocket prep was my go to study material. If they asked a question I was unsure about, I wrote it down and did the research needed to understand the material. The app covers a huge range of topics in my field and I felt 100% prepared as I took my exam. This app is a game changer, especially for those of us that struggle with traditional book learning.

Eh. I am using it to study for the NPTE. It uses the TherapyEd practice book as a resource which is great. The thing is that the questions are based on memorization and not very realistic based on my experiences with the PEAT exams. I would spend a little more and get questions that actually are realistic if I could do it over again.

Enjoy Studying on the go. I got this app because I feel a little bit better when I don’t havemy books with me📚. When I’m on the go, I can at least quiz myself to keep my brain on track💪😎💪. I haven’t chose to upgrade to premium because I don’t want to pay but at least what they offer for free is better than nothing 😅

NBCOT Exam Updated for 2020. This app is so user friendly. I love studying on the go and what better way then to have a simple interface on your iPhone or iPad! The recently updated it with dark mode which is fantastic as I love to study at night. But also all the question that you subscribe to are based on the most recent exam prep!

CDR question quality is declining. Recently, I’ve come across more and more questions that are outright dumb. Don’t get me wrong, I like this app a lot. But some of the questions I’ve been coming across recently seem like they’re just there to fill space without actually helping you learn what’s important. For example, more questions are starting to focus on some random minuscule, irrelevant detail that will almost certainly not be on the exam. Then they combine that with poor wording, slap a reference at the bottom and pass it off as ‘critical thinking’. Either the content team aren’t all dietitians, aren’t all competent, or are occasionally focused on quantity rather than quality. That being said, I don’t regret my subscription purchase at all. 85% of the questions I see are appropriate, and the ones that aren’t I just sorta ignore. The convenience and features are also something I really like. As well as the user-friendly UI. One feature this app really needs is a button to ‘report’ the question to the developers with a text box allowing you to explain why. It’s almost as if their recent questions are created using a terrible Ai model. I want to be prepared for my test, not questioned on the smallest fact that I 100% won’t be tested on.

Love the app but…. I love the app, it definitely helped me test my preparation for my PTCE exam. But (and I don’t know if this is a bug) I only had access to 799 questions out of the full 800 that I payed for. I tried to filter by missing questions but the quiz I end up taking is one question less than the quiz quantity it’s supposed to be. For example I click a 10 question quiz, it only asks me 9 questions before completing.

Totally worth it. I felt this app really helped me prepare for the boards . After purchasing, there are about 600 questions . You can quiz yourself as many times as you want . There’s a feature on there where you can build your own quiz . Where you can quiz on material In which you need more practice. Also there’s another feature where you get quizzed on questions you missed previously. Overall great app!

Best app ever. I couldn’t have passed my exam to become a Registered Dietitian if it weren’t for this app. I passed my exam today with an excellent score. This app kept me accountable to stating consistent with studying everyday. So grateful my internship purchased this for us.

By far the best #1. Before I started using this app I was struggling to study for the PTCB exam from just books. I heard about this app in other PTCB forums and also reviews here and was blown away. So I decided that I was gonna give it a shot. I payed for 2 months subscription and within in the first month I was surprised at the level of understanding I gained just by using this app. At first I was hitting the 50% and 60% and that showed me that I really needed help. After 2weeks I was hitting 80s and 90s, then 100%. I felt so good that I was finally grasping the concepts and I was really confident I could pass the exam. 2 months after; guess what! I sat my PTCB exam and I pass first try! Thanks to this app for opening my eyes. It’s a keeper….100% recommended!

You better have a fat wallet. I wanted to test out the app before I paid for the full version, as sometimes I find that apps are just set up weirdly and I want to find a different version that fits better (explanations, study questions vs tests, etc) and yet when I clicked on the free version to give it a try, it said “time to upgrade to premium. You’ve used all the questions you get with the free version” WHEN I HAD DOWNLOADED THE APP LESS THAN A MINUTE BEFORE AND HADN’T ANSWERED A SINGLE QUESTION. And every option had a lock on it. You get ZERO questions in the free version. No option works. So you better be ready to pay a minimum of 20$ just to find out if it’s worth it or not. If I could give it a zero star, I would. Not worth it at all. Find another app.

Great for PTCE/PTCB!. I used this to prepare for my PTCE. I had little field experience and no formal education for pharmacy, but this app was likely the #1 reason I passed!! I used this app and re-studied often. It went awesome!!! 10/10 use this app for your PTCB exams!!!

Passed my PTCE!. I did all 1000 questions and ended at 875/1000 answered correctly at the end of it. This app plus the Pre-PTCB Practice Test and the PTCB Question Bank was enough to pass! Thanks PocketPrep!

Passed PTCB on first try!. I heard about this app through a pharmacist on YouTube and was skeptical about it. Then, a friend of mine mentioned an app (more than likely this one) so I decided to try it out for myself. I did the quizzes and daily question on the app just about everyday up until the day before the test. When I got my results from the PTCB I couldn’t believe that I passed on the first try because I struggled in finding study materials outside of the course modules I had been working on. I’m recommending this app to incoming trainees and anyone trying to become a certified tech.

Contradictory. Questions contradict information in peer reviewed textbooks and basic google searches

RD exam. Absolutely loved using this app. It was a huge help as a supplemental study tool for the RD exam. I love that it shows answer explanations and all of the customizable features for studying.

Perfect for reviewing. I loved the app I used it for couple of months. I would just do 10-20 quiz every day and I passed my NPTE Physical therapy board exam.

Just passed my RD exam!!. I used this app throughout the whole time I studied. It was recommended to me by RDs that had taken their exam just the year before me. I started out with the basic version and then upgraded to premium after a couple of weeks. I used it for about 1.5 months in premium and it was definitely worth it. Soooo many more questions and ways to quiz myself that were really helpful. Between this app, Jean Inman’s study guide and a couple of podcasts on Spotify I passed the exam easy peasy. The questions given to me in this app were pretty similar to the exam, if not harder. I felt really prepared for the exam and passed pretty easily.

WCC flash cards. Excellent study tool, really helps to prepare you for the exam

Nothing on the PTCB test. They must have changed the test because 90% of the stuff that was on the test was not in the study material. They should refund your subscription if you fail the test because there is almost nothing helpful here.

NPTE exam review is AWFUL!. Rationale and question presentation are absolutely trash. Complete waste of money. Use TherapyEd, Scorebuilders, or Final Frontier. The developers need to step up there game and hire physical therapist who write for the board to help immensely.

MUST HAVE. I just took my PTCE and passed the very first try!! This app plus the PTCB math calculations app is all I used and it got me over prepared for the exam. The premium is essential and very worth it! Practice everyday for a month or so and your going to do amazing!

CPC Exam. This was a great tool to prepare for AAPC’s CPC exam along with the official CPC study guide. 500 questions for 14.99/month is an excellent deal. It also allowed me to test how I would do in time management for the exam. I ended up passing the CPC exam the first time! :)

NPTE-PTA. Too many inaccurate “correct” answers with subpar rationales. Horrible resource. I highly recommend PTA365 instead.

Answers can be very vague. Some explanations are not good and don’t define and justify the answers
