Charged me but didn’t upgrade to premium. I paid the $25 to upgrade to premium... worked for two days then suddenly booted me out and said I didn’t have the premium membership!! I have found no way to get it back. Complete waste of money. Developers need to fix this immediately !!!

Passed on my 1st take!!. This app helped me a lot from taking my exam. It may not be the same question as I have on my actual PTCB exam but the thought is there!! It's been rephrased but when you analyzed it, you know right away that your answer was right if you read all the rationale behind the choices given each question. Best of luck to everyone! 2 thumbs up for this app! Love it!

Amazing SUPPLEMENT.. I studied Mosby’s PTCE review book maybe 20 days collectively over the course of a month. In the last week of my studying I used this app as a means to self assess my studying and it was extremely helpful. It helped me get an idea of what details I had to narrow down on which were practically identical to the actual PTCB test. But understand this is best used as a SUPPLEMENT. I do not recommend this being your one and only studying material. Needless to say I passed my exam. With the use of the Mosby’s book and this app, I hadn’t encountered any questions on the exam that I didn’t have at least an IDEA on how to answer. Didn’t draw any blanks whatsoever. I was unsure of some questions but never clueless. Best of luck ! Btw I used the upgrade with 400 questions and answered 280 of them. If you’re only using the basic package, then none of what I said applies.

This app and the Ptcb practice tests. I mostly used this app for about a month everyday and the Official PTCB practice tests 2 days before and passed my test; Finished it with about 35 minutes left to double check. I like how you can focus on specific areas of the tests to see what you need to study more of. Recommend highly!

More help than my book was. I thought I would see what apps were available and chose this for all the awesome reviews. I had a manual I had studied but this was definitely more helpful. I just took the test and what do you know I PASSED !!! Thank you so much for all the extra help. Love this app

Awesome app. This app helped me so much! When you don’t have time to study due to work and kids , you can open this app and it’s like playing a game. I highly recommend.

Good App. I used this app along with mosby material (the yellow book) but I mostly use the app to study because I was able to study where ever I was. I love how you can customize your own exams the questions really prepare you for the PTCB exam. It made the exam a piece of cake for me, supper easy. I passed my exam.

Not supported. So I got this app a month ago and now all of a sudden it isn’t supported and wants me to download the medical pocket prep app. But I bought that app and this one at the same time. So what was the point in me paying for both if it was just gonna shut down and make me download the second app? I don’t even know how to get my money back

Buy it !!!. I was so nervous for this test, I downloaded several Apps and they all only had a limited number of questions they just kept repeating I looked up several different websites online and multiple websites had different answers to the same questions so I finally gave in and I bought this app I took my test today and I passed it is definitely worth the money so don’t hesitate to spend it

I PASSED. And I am certain that I wouldn’t have passed without this app. I almost exclusively used this app to prepare. I had bought one of those prep books way back but didn’t find it all too helpful until this app came along. I did all the questions in the app, while prepped with a notebook and laptop to look up everything I didn’t know on every question (there are 800 or so). Great layout, great questions, great feedback. THANKS SO MUCH to the developers for creating this app!!!

Informational. Nice app over all but not many options with the free version, about 30 of the same questions over and over unless you buy the full app.

Nice practice app but annoyed one purchase does not cover both iPhone & iPad. Would have given 5 stars as this is excellent prep for the PTCE. However when I bought the $15 version it only unlocks it on my IPads (I have two & it works on both). However my iPhone doesn’t recognize that I already purchased one of the premium versions. Are really expected to pay twice for the same questions just so we can use it on two types of devices? So many other apps out there only charge you once. This should be especially true for an app that you’re only going use until you pass the exam it prepares you for. Just saying...

Highly recommend. I used this as my primary study tool. I passed on the first try. The test only took me 20 minutes to finish. I highly recommend it!

Passed exam thanks to app :). Made studying real easy, and while there are no exact questions on the test, the explanations tab after you answer a question give you a lot of insight on what can be, and topics to study in your own.

Would be great if bugs were fixed.. The app is great for studying when it works, but it’s been crashing, not responding, and logging me out every other time I open it.

I take my test soon. I have the free version of the app, so there’s a limited amount of questions, but! It’s helped me learn some of the most popular questions on the test from what I’ve heard. So idk wish me luck

Super helpful as supplemental material - passed!. I saw this app several months before I was set to take the exam and basically answered a few questions every other day from the “Ultimate” package without any other supplemental material. This was super helpful in getting me familiar with different concepts and with starting to memorize difficult information very early. Then, about 6 days leading up the the exam, I reviewed the Mosby book chapters each day and used this to quiz myself over the material. Super helpful because although I started ACTUALLY studying 6 days before, I already knew a lot of the information from just using the app in my free time. 100% recommend and I PASSED!

Passed my test. I went to school for my degree but the app helped me understand and know somethings that wasn’t taught to me in school.

Great app. Studying for the PTCB and the best feature is when you get an answer wrong, it shows not only the correct answer but full explanations!

Need my purchase back. I bought the app around April and a month ago it was gone . Every time I sign in they will give me the free . I haven’t finished the 500 question yet. Please give me back what I purchase !! Thank you for giving it back my purchased!

More tutorials. I wish this had more tutorial content before practice testing.

Great daily prep tool!. An excellent addition to your pharmacy tech prep course materials. I’m confident I will enter the test feeling more prepared with these questions.

Good app. Considering purchasing, I already own the PTCB calculations app and it’s helping tremendously. I enjoy the pocket prep format although I’m having trouble accessing my other free questions after mentioning and liking them on social media. Other then that I recommend it.

Good app. It helps out a lot! I bought 2 practice test from the Pearson VUE website to study and used this app multiple times to study as well and I passed my test!

Great study tool, I PASSED!. I only had two weeks to study and primarily used this app and the review book. Upgrading to the premium is worth it, I promise! I enjoy being able to customize my exams. It also allows you to see what content area you’re weak in. Take the time to read or skim the chapter content in the review book and then use the app to do practice problems. READ THE EXPLANATIONS & TAKE NOTES. If you start averaging ~70% on most of the content and overall, you will be alright. Good luck, you got this! Downside is that sometimes the app takes a minute to load up.

Just found out I passed the test.. This shouldn’t be your only study material but this app helped me a lot. I didn’t buy the premium content but it seems like it could be a really good investment.

Great but,. the app I feel like is going to help me greatly and asks great questions that are geared for the test. Only thing is I paid for the upgrade and was using that for some days and it reverted back to the free app.

I passed my PTCE. I used this app as the free version at first along with other study guides. I then upgraded to paid version once I was answering questions that I had not come across in other study methods. I prepares you for the types of questions( not exact questions) that you may have on the exam. Thank you for detailed content! I passed on first try.

PASSED PTCB! Highly Recommend. I highly recommend purchasing the full version of this app. It has a breakdown in the order to Mosby’s 3rd Ed’s contents. Each focus point will contain about 100 multiple choice problems where you can manipulate what and how much you want to study at a time. Each question also provides an explanation to both the right and wrong answers. I would recommend this app as a way to test your knowledge, but not as a stand alone! Good luck!

GREAT APP!!. Took my exam on the 31st of May **PASSED** This pocket prep app awesome. I love how it goes into detail on explaining the answers. It definitely helped me lots and this was the first time I’d ever taken this exam. Lots of knowledge on this app!!!

I passed my PTCB!. This app helped a lot and all the questions will basically be on the PTCB. The real test is harder and tricky. However, ever since the new update this program has been running super slow. It’s so annoyingly crippled and buggy. If you guys fix the slowness this app would be amazing again.

I’d like to rate this higher, but consistently having issues. This is a good app to study....if it actually worked consistently. Two problems that I’m having (iPhone 6): 1) With exam builder, the screen where areas to study are selected is completely blank (just a white screen) except for the green “next” button at the bottom. When pressed, it tells me I cannot proceed because no areas of study is selected. Yet I can’t do that as no matter what I do the study selection screen remains empty. 2) It always has trouble finding questions and gives me an error message instead. I hit refresh, it tries for 10-20 seconds and gives me the same message. Over and over. So even if I can get the study areas to be there, then the questions won’t load on the next step after selecting how many there will be. I’ve read from the developers that deleting and redownloading will help rectify these problems as they weren’t expecting people to continually do the same questions over and over (or something to that degree) and they’re working on a fix. That may be, but I’ve tried these solutions to no avail. As it stands, this app that I’ve paid for is totally useless. Even if it sometimes works (by far most of the time it doesn’t) it’s just not worth the frustration to meddle with it to get things working properly. Please fix this, devs!

Not loading..... When I first got this app I really enjoyed the “Question of the Day” feature. I still receive the notifications but then an error “We’re having difficulties loading today’s question of the day...”. That’s been going on for the past 2 weeks. Hoping for a bug fix soon!

Please help. I bought the premium for 9.99 and I reset my phone and downloaded my apps I purchased but my PTCE exam says to purchase again?! I just purchased it 2 months ago!? Help

Loving It. I’m really loving this app! The free versions gets you going m, but once you’ve unlocked all the features it’s amazing. I haven’t taken my test as yet but I’m way more confident in taking it now than before! It lets you know where your weak areas are and allows you to get a tutor to help better understand. You can work on one topic at a time or multiple. And I like how you can set it up to tell it’s time to study to keep you on track till your test date! I will highly recommend for anyone who’s uneasy about taking the test! ❤️

Best ptcb app. This app helped me pass my test 5 years ago. My manager at Walgreens recommended it bc she was needing to get certified and at first she failed the first try then got this app and passed it. I always put show answers as I go bc that’s how I learn. Great app highly recommend!!!

good but.... This app has good review questions and is a useful tool for the actual test, but it tends to freeze and crash. It is very distracting when you are trying to study and the app crashes or freezes causing you to repeatedly close and reopen it. Please try to fix it.

Very Useful. I used this to review seven days before the exam. I didn’t use this app alone to prepare for the test but it definitely helped me more learn more things in more detail which is very nice. I actually took my PTCE exam today and passed! Good luck to those who plan to take it :D

.. App is good for studying . However it freezes way too much and logs you out of the app. I would like to study without getting kicked out a billion times while trying to study. Other than that the app is really helpful!

Thanks to this app I am now a CPhT.. Worth the upgrade! A must have for anyone planning on taking the certification exam. If you or your employer are already risking $129 for you to take the PTCE, it is well worth you spending the extra $10 on this app. Suggestion to the developer. Categorize questions better in the exam builder. (i.e. “Pharmacy Math” only having questions about basic calculations, IV drip rates, formulas, metric conversions, etc.) With the categories given, it was inconvenient to sift through questions and narrow down the types I wanted to practice. Also, as someone with retail pharmacy experience I was fairly well versed on brand/generic medication names. However, there should be an entire category of its own for those who may not be as familiar.

Extremely helpful!!. I passed my test using this app and another pharm tech book. It was very helpful and the repetition embedded the facts in my brain. The questions were similar, but it was a little vague on this app compared to the actual test. It worked best for me because I'm always on my phone, so it was easy to redirect myself to this app rather than my social media. I found this app 3-4 days before my exam, and retained helpful information. I don't recommend only using this app to try to pass, but it did enhance my chances at passing.

Too many bugs/glitches. The app has great content. Since the update this app has become very frustrating. I am trying to seriously study and I don't except an app that I paid $12 for to glitch every time I attempt to take an exam. I admire the layout and the option to re-take a test; but if it's going to cause the app to continue to freeze then it is not necessary. The exams don't load and the screen remains froze. I am unable to click anything but wen I do the screen goes black. I have to exit out the app and try to get back in. This is a serious issue and can be nerve wrecking.

Not so happy about this app. Im using the Mosby's Practice Test for PTCB and that book covers way too much information than I should know. I downloaded this app and I should say a lot of questions are about the things I haven't learned from the book I am using. I would say the difficulty of the questions are 8 out of 10, for some it's a good thing but for me, it just confuses me more. I'm afraid that none of the questions I've been studying on this app would be at least similar to PTCB!

Great app for prep!. I just wish after you exit out of the prac test n home screen that when u go back to the settings for practice testing, your previous selections are still there n not reset. And one more thing, it would be great if it alerted your via text message instead of email. But I'm picking at minor things. Other than those 2 things, it is a cool and helpful app (and actually pretty fun too) for prep'n for the ptcb! And the price is pretty reasonable as well!

Wrong answers. This app has incorrect answers and explanations. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Good review to master main points. I found this to be a good way to review because I don't have a long attention span, or will, to open a book and start studying at random times of day, whereas in an app, it's painless! I took the exam today (and passed using another book to supplement). I found the questions on the exam to be more long-winded but the explanations offered for each answer in this app were helpful to understand the material and be able to deduce the correct answer on the real exam with this background knowledge. While it's a bit expensive imo, not having to retake the ptcb makes it worth it.

Great app I passed!!. This app is totally worth the $10 for the upgrade. I don't think I would have passed with out it!! I took my PTCB in rhode island at the Pearson site after only 4 months of studying from this app n my book.

I passed my test. I was provided training through my employer and have been working in a pharmacy for 3 years. So I was familiar with most of the common drugs/etc. I was recently offered the opportunity to be a technician, so naturally I took it. I have a plethora of resources. Computer based training/flash cards/PTCB book AND an extra PTCB book made just for math. Math is my weak point. I stopped using all of that crap. This app is very helpful! My job does not deal with IV or sterile compounding. I knew nothing of hospital pharmacy. The laws of pharmacy...etc. I figured I would get this app because I’m ALWAYS on my phone. So it would be best to get something I can use anywhere. There’s 800 questions. I answered them all over and over. I had so much anxiety with my test. This app covers everything you need to know. I do recommend you getting a separate app for math if you struggle with it, and another one for drug names If you’re not familiar with them. Thankfully I work with them daily so I knew that part. I went in and finished this test with 52 minutes left to spare. To which I Just reviewed my answers and went over to questions I had flagged. Be calm. If you don’t know something, skip it and come back. The first question I got was a math one... and I was already about to puke. I skipped it. Came back. And figured the answer out later. I passed!! Just today. This will give you confidence. Because you will know 90% of the answers. The cons!!!! The app crashes and signs you out a lot! The only way I was able to use t was to open it, let it load, not touch it for a while, scroll up and down to make sure it wasn’t gonna freeze, then select quick exam. Wait again! It will try to load the question of the day. Wait and wait. It’ll prob say “cannot find questions. Refresh” just click ok. And wait some more. And then your exam will load. Gah I know. It sounds awful. I can’t tell you how many times I forced closed this app and even restarted my phone. But for the money I spent... I was gonna use it one way or another. And it has great info. I mean. I passed!!!

Invaluable for studying but glitchy.. Let me start off by saying that I've been working as a state-certified tech in retail for 4 years, so I do have a lot of on-the-job training. However, there was a LOT included in the PTCB blueprint that I didn't know (compounding, laws, even some drug names). I studied during all of my free time for only 2 weeks and passed the exam. This app helped so much. I purchased the full version with all 800 questions and it was absolutely worth it. My favorite part was I could use it on my phone, where I spend a lot of time doing mindless things like browsing Facebook, several times a day. Instead, I took a quiz on this app. Many quizzes multiple times a day. I'm the beginning, I got a lot of them wrong. But the Exam Readiness feature helped me focus on my weak spots. Even if you do well with this app, I would strongly recommend using other resources. I also used Mosby's Third Edition, a review book, and learning modules provided by my company. I did not think I would pass the first try because I had to remember a lot of content in a short amount of time. But I did end up passing and I think it had a lot to do with this app. I used it when I woke up, during breakfast, while I waited for the bus, on my lunch break, before bed, and so on. I learn best with visual cues and repetition. With all this being said, this app quickly became glitchy, especially with the more questions I got right. It would freeze often, especially right before a test. And it would think I didn't purchase the full version frequently. So while I think the content is great, glitches definitely need to be worked out. Overall, I recommend it fully for all my fellow techs out there. Best of luck!

AMAZING APP!. This app is truly incredible. I'm studying for the Virginia Pharmacy Technician exam and this covers everything I could possibly need and more. Pair this app with a study book and the desire to study and you'll be on your way to success. The question of the day feature, the explanation to answers, the clean cut interface, all make this app professional and a pleasure to use.

very useful!. Along with a study guide, this app had a very similar feel to the actual exam. I give it a lot of credit for helping me pass! Will definitely recommend this for practice. It's a little expensive and some explanations could have more content, but overall, it was worth the money.

Must have. Perfect for on the go or anyone addicted to their phone! It really helped me prepare for my exam in Ohio-- honestly turned it into a cake walk! Passed my first time with flying colors thanks to this app. I did end up buying the full version cause I was stressed out about failing.

Useful. I like it. Ended up buying the full app when it was on sale. It is worth it. Does help with preparation. I love the answers and explanations. If it had flash cards or away to help learn drugs it'd be 6 stars. Until then only 4 because it's explanations could use some work.

Great App For PTCE!. I used this app along with other resources to study for the PTCB and I PASSED! What I really liked about the App is that the questions are based of the official blueprint on PTCB website. The only thing I wish It had was having a category specifically for practicing the Math Calculations by themselves And Top 200 Drugs Facts by themselves. I think that would help people how learn better with repetition. But overall great app and a better purchase than buying the official ptcb practice test for twice the price of the app.

Pwahaha. It's a good place to start studying because they have questions for every category being tested on the PTCE. The quizzes are helpful for providing explanations for each question, but make sure to double check with the internet because I find some of the answers are actually wrong on this app!! I passed the exam with this app, a summary of a PTCE course from a friend, and a whole lot of online quizzes. I bought the full version but if you don't want to spend the money, there are a lot of good resources online!

PTCE keeps crashing. I would love to give this app a good review but I answer like 4 questions before it completely crashes and closes the app. Needs to get fixed ASAP and I’m using an iPhone 6

Great App for the PTCB. I am preparing for my exam and live the question of the day as well as the flash cards. The quizzes help me to study and remember information for the exam. If you are preparing for your exam this is an excellent app and it goes with you everywhere so you can study.

Loved this app! Worth it!. I was on this app day after day for about an hour or so with the help of another book. And I thought the questions were hard so I thought the PTCB would be tough as well. I kept studying and studying and took the test February 13 thinking I wasn't ready. I passed !! 😊😊😊 the real test was sooooo easy, this app really prepared me. I definitely recommend it!! P.s I did buy the full version. Worth it!

Bugs/Glitches. Overall use the app everyday and love it for what it is. The new design wasn't bad but when taking exams and moving to the next question there is a huge glitch that won't allow for the next question to populate and I have to close out of the app completely. There are other glitches as well. Please fix

Thanks!!. Pretty terrific, certification board!! This is, by far, what I've been using to study for the national! I've taken the state, in both Connecticut, as well as NY, but it's been about 10 years. Since reintroducing myself to the field, and found many books, this is the only thing that has done all of them in one!

No longer supported. This should be removed from the app store. After downloading it just prompts you to install a different app 🙄

This is a Must Have!. I took and passed my PTCB exam on the first try. This app was essential in helping me to accomplish that. I purchased the full version and took practice tests daily. It's set up much like the exam so I felt comfortable taking it. Highly recommend!!!

A must. Read the book and did flash cards and official ptcb practice test the first time and failed. Studied with this app for a month and knew 85 out of the 90 questions with 100% confidence. Great test prep. I love how you have the option of seeing the correct answers when you answer incorrectly. It not only explains why your answer is either correct or incorrect, but explain what the other multiple choice answers are.

Good yet ineffective. There a lot of good info. Bunch of practice questions. Study mode feature is to be credited. But nothing similar appeared in the original test, i am not talking about the exact question but the idea of questions. The practice questions here are slight difficult and less common sense mostly content based. I suggest you might as well sharpen your common sense before the actual test.

Has it's ups and downs. I have mixed feelings about this app. There are a lot of positives, like the amount of questions and customization. I also found the "helpful information" to be extremely effective as I am terrible with "standardized tests". However, after you take a practice test under exam builder , you have to go back to the main screen a few times to set up another test. It also doesn't save your preferences of "show me the answers at the end" when you take the quick 10 questions. Another problem is some of the explanations for incorrect answers are very vague, it just repeats the question with the answer without the actual explanation. I will say that it is worth the purchase and is easier for me to use to study than the books. I just wish it could improve on some of the above mentioned issues.

Nice. Great app

It was somewhat helpful. I tried to use this app to help me study for my ptcb exam, I figured I could use it to quiz myself throughout the day. I feel like many of the questions were just unhelpful, and some of the answers were confusing. For example, with one question, had 2 very similar answers but it didn't explain the difference between the 2 answers. It was just really frustrating not to mention some of the answers in the app are wrong as well. I had to give up on this app.

10 questions a day. Sometimes when juggling a very hectic week I opted for 10 questions 3x a day or 45 questions once or twice a day. I got out what I put in and passed my test. This is a nice overview of everything!

Great study guide!. This is exactly what I need to study for the exam! Working 40+hrs a week in a hospital pharmacy with 4 kids at home... I am able to study whenever I get a free moment. This also showed me what areas I needed to study more. Great app!

Old version was better. The new update made the app slower. It takes a while for the app to respond when you press next or an option. Also, when taking the exam, when you want to look at the explanation, the app can become glitchy, especially after trying to get to the next question. I feel like the attempt to make the app look more flat design and "simple", made it a little more inconvenient to use. And one thing I noticed was taking the comprehensive exam, it took questions from only 2-3 sections. When in the old version, it had questions from all sections, which I liked more because it tested knowledge in all areas.

Positive Reviews. Are they for real?. After finding incorrect information, I thought it was unusual that this app had a 5 star rating. After closer observation there appears to be a pattern by this developer. Look at the reviews of the multiple "exam prep" type apps available. The earliest reviews are very positive. Then they become more negative. Notice how the review titles, descriptions, names and dates are strangely similar. Some of the reviewer's names are the exact same for several unrelated apps. Is the profit margin just too low for quality?

So helpful!. Not only with practice quizzes, but also with a ton of text taking tips that are actually helpful! I just wish I didn't have to upgrade to get the whole app package.

Highly recommended.. This app was recommended by a friend who is a CPhT. I have a short attention span when it comes to learning from textbooks (just as someone else posted) but this app is great. It's in a fun, easy-to-learn format. The test tips are helpful. The practice tests can be formatted to cover certain topics or all topics. And I liked the QOTD (Question of the Day) that I received every morning to test my knowledge. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that some of the answers didn't give full explanations for better understanding. It would just repeat what the question asked. I still would recommend any trainee to use this app along with a study guide in prep for the PTCB. I'm taking my test today!

Awesome App!. I would give this app a 10. I passed my exam yesterday. I studied using my textbook, calculations workbook, review workbook, and test myself using this app. With all 4 resources I was able to pass my exam. This app is extremely helpful, but you do need additional textbook sources.
