Must admit, it works. I used this a little over a month before my LCSW/ ASWB Clinical Exam. The questions were more similar to the test than the official prep test questions. I was discouraged by how many questions I got wrong, but it made me remember them. I paid for a month to get the 1000 questions, and it’s worth it. I made sure to do about 40 questions a day to complete all 1000. It was helpful to keep track of test countdown, study times, and areas of strength and weakness for exam material. The breadth of materials covered will never match your test, it’s about learning the way of answering the questions. This app does a good job mimicking the essence of the actual test questions. No matter what or how much you study you won’t have reviewed everything on your test. The test is general so anyone can take it no matter their specific work sector. Learn the basics of what social work is and the ethics and you will pass. Answer explanation were very good. I also paired this with Apgar’s study guide, 100 DSM questions… and along with FAREAFI and AASPIRINS Good luck folks! I hope one time is the charm!

Best preparation for the least amount of $$$. I used this app for BOTH the LMSW and LCSW exams. I studying for about two weeks each time. Pass both on the first attempt. The questions on the app are harder than the actual exam, and I got low scores on many of my quizzes. Don't let that discourage you. If you make it through all of the questions on this app, and retake the ones you missed, you'll be in good shape for the exam.

Worth it.. I purchased the app about a month or so before the exam. I had already been doing some other studying through a program I’d purchased which was helpful too. I found though, for me, the continuous ability to test and retest was very helpful. The ability to read the correct answers, go back and review missed questions etc was all very helpful for me and easy which is really what I needed due to my busy schedule. I liked how I could just take a quiz whenever I had a minute and I took lots of them. The best thing about the app was the convenience and repetition of testing drills. Granite, there were def questions that I thought were not applicable to the MSW but most were. The other thing that was extremely helpful was taking the ASWB mock exam. It preps you for the exact set up of the real exam and you get a score at the end. It took a lot of the wondering out if it and gave me a boost of confidence. I passed the exam the first time and I’d say this app was worth the time and money. I’d also suggest not relying only on the app and pursuing other forms of prep as well, it all helps.

Passed the LMSW On My First Try!!!!. This is a great App it really contributed to successfully passing the exam the first time taking it, with a high score of 22 points over . the app is very helpful with improving memory recall while building your knowledge base from the Apgar green book. I used the app for three month and gradually built my score to 100% of 800 questions each week I addressed one domain and studied the information through taking a few quizzes to boost memory recall and it helped. in addition the app is a lot of fun and boosts the confidence as you improve your score. I am very grateful to the app developers for giving MSW students a significant tool to help pass the exam lets not kid ourselves to pass one requires to have a strong knowledge base. And this App will help with it I also recommend Bootcamp to learn strategies of test taking. I will purchase this app again for the LCSW version. Lots of luck to all test takers,,,,

Wonderful Content. The questions are very engaging and provide great detail as to why a choice should have been selected and why other options were not correct. The explanations are spot on and easy to comprehend. I also love that references are given to what study books were used to find each answer. Provides great detail on what we should focus on depending on our score.

Passed NCE 1st time. Used this app to study for the NCE and took the test today! Passed! This app helps with learning concepts and identifying areas of difficulty that may need additional study focus. I liked how I could read additional information for each response and I could use it to help make note cards too. I worked my way through all 500 questions and kept going through them until I could pass quick 10 question quizzes with 80+% accuracy, doing missed question quizzes to make sure I was focusing studying on those areas. I’d definitely recommend this for studying. It doesn’t have exact questions to the exam (obviously) but does really help with concepts. For reference, I’ve been out of school for 16 years, so even that far out from class work, this app helped me pass.

Not great for ASPPB/EPPP. I just took the psychology licensure exam and would say that this app covered less than 30% of what was on the exam. It gives you a good idea of general areas to study, but the exam was very different from what was presented in these practice questions. Not harder or easier, just not the right content. I absolutely would not recommend using this app as your primary means of studying, but it’s okay to assess general areas where you might be weaker or stronger. Maybe focus on the ASPPB-provided practice questions instead of this. I really enjoyed using the app though, it’s fun and has good metrics for studying. I just wish it was actually representative of what the exam is like.

EPPP Help. For those using this app for the EPPP, I used it and passed both parts 1 and 2. The information they have for part one is more akin to the actual exam but the questions they have for part 2 are similar to the multiple choice options I saw. I gave it 4 stars because you will still need to buy the accompanying book they reference. With the app and the book, you'll get a good sense of what you need to focus on more.

Perfect for test anxiety/ ADHD. This app helped me pass the NCE! I’ve always had test anxiety and struggles with multiple choice questions. This app helped me prepare for the test more than any other resource. I only made it through half of the purple book before the test, but I spent 4 months “microdosing” the NCE on this app. I felt like the questions on the app are harder than the actual NCE questions. I also liked that the app provided explanations for each answer to help solidify the information into working memory. Highly recommend!

User friendly, accurate information, great prep. Got this for the ASWB Clinical Licensure Exam and passed on my first time! It is inexpensive compared to many study tools and includes 3 different practice tests, so is well worth it. You’ll get out of it what you put into it. Do a ton of practice questions and get used to the styles of questions, but also go out of your way to learn the material your missing. The daily questions help with consistent exposure to the material and reminding you to use the app. Highly recommend it!

Use this app to pass. I took my LCSW test just last week (I passed yay) and feel I can attribute my success from using the materials in this app. I used the question of the day, 10 question quizzes, build your own quiz, mock exam, and weakest subject. It was absolutely worth it to pay the money for the premium subscription! The ability to track what I missed and what I got correct is fantastic! I made this decision after reading another company’s test book and not being impressed with how thorough it was. I didn’t buy the book that’s associated with this app/continually referenced in the app but if I went back and did it all I would as well!

I Passed!. I downloaded this app and used the free features for about 18 months before finally paying for a month as I prepared for my exam. I took the mock exam about 2 weeks before my test. I scored a 107 on this first practice. I then did EVERY question until I had gotten each question correct at least once. I then took the mock exam the night before my test and I improved by 20 points. I passed my exam with flying colors. I loved how I could break the practice questions into 10 question chunks or for a time limit. When I didn’t understand why a question was wrong, I could explore why. I HIGHLY recommend this app!

Numerous errors for NCMHCE. I’ve done more than 300 of the 500 questions provided in this app and there are at least 5 so far where they indicate a wrong choice or incorrectly written answer as correct. There may be more that I didn’t catch. Buyer beware with this app, the exam is hard enough without studying incorrect practice questions! Update: In response to my review I was then contacted by a developer who said they were glad to have met my expectations for 98% of test questions!! I’m sorry but this is unacceptable. If I study wrong answers which then make me fail the exam and I cannot work, it isn’t a joke to try to reframe it as them giving 98% correct material. Exam prep materials which are sold so expensively should be completely correct! Would give zero stars if I could.

Worth Buying Premium!. I purchased premium for one month and it was definitely worth it. I passed my LCSW exam on the first try. I won’t say I passed due to this app alone, but using it together with my other study materials I believe was very helpful! I was able to see my weakest subject, and I believe I did all 1,000 questions (if not then super close). I logged into the app through my laptop and that resembled the test more closely, so I’d encourage you to do that! Practice taking it on a laptop with no distractions and sit for the whole test. Good luck to anyone reading this, you got this!!!

I PASSED!!. I was referred to this app by a friend and i used for every single day for 2.5 months; doing multiple quizzes each day. It prepared me not only with content but with how read to answer the questions. When i first took the exam i was 10 questions under the required score and when i took the exam today i was 10 points over the required score! I recommend this app to anyone preparing to take their clinical social work exam.

Lots of material, baffling grammar needs editing. LMSW prepping for the LCSW exam. Love the ease of using this app! Clearly a lot of work has gone into writing the questions for this app. Love that content is up to date and uses Dawn Apgar’s prep text (which I am also studying). The new price structure is unfortunate (get the old app and sign up for the lifetime premium if you still can!), but understandable and hopefully most of us won’t need it for more than 3 months. One major critique: the writing of the questions frequently needs editing for clarity. Sometimes a word is left out or the sentence structure is convoluted, not following norms of the English language. This adds unnecessary difficulty to practice questions and I can’t imagine what that is like for a non-native English speaker. Please add additional editing review stages for grammar and clarity. Back for a follow-up: some questions are not accurate. I had a question yesterday referencing pages is Apgar’s book which it turned out, had none of the content referred to in the question! I also just had a question that is factually wrong (about face validity)! Back for the third time—looks like the copy editors updated the question above! Yay! Do I get paid for that? Adding another review because I found ANOTHER error and emailed the Help about it. Requesting a refund this time. Studying is hard enough without studying inaccurate answers!

Concerned these questions are not written by SWs. I’m studying for the masters exam and it has come to my attention that the questions in this app are not written by SWs which could account for some other concerns raised in other reviews surrounding the structure and the content of the questions. When putting a product forward, the creators of the product should be forthcoming about who is behind the course and writing the material. I have come across some questions where I know the answers are wrong. Additionally, some of the sentence structure and grammar are off.

It’s worth it. I’m 37 days from my NCE test date and I just have to say after months of using this app to study I have hit 100% on all 850 questions. This app is legit. It’s convenient, don’t let the price point sway you, you can use it anytime-anywhere. Often studying is difficult because you have to set aside time, however, having the study materials at your fingertips in a data-driven, concise, easy to use app is priceless.

Passed!!. I’m a mother of two with one on the way. There’s no way I could have sat and read through that purple book with my busy life! I started in January slowly going through this app. About 2 months before my test I really stepped it up and went through all 500 questions. Keep quizzing yourself. I did it while watching my kids, in between clients, when I woke up with insomnia, while I waited for dinner to finish and in long chunks of time on weekends. No the questions in the exam won’t be the same but it gives you a framework of concepts. I also really recommend doing the last minute boot camp in the purple book along with this app. You’ll need it to round out your knowledge.

Pretty Sure I Passed Because of This App. The questions and explanations on Pocket Prep prepared me for the NCE better than any other practice test I took. Especially in terms of how the questions are phrased on the test. The NCE will trip you up with semantics, dude. But IMO the questions on Pocket Prep were harder than those on the NCE, which was what I was hoping for. I ended up going into the exam with more knowledge than what I was even tested on 😂 I liked how I could measure my progress, create my own tests, and and review flagged or missed questions. Very grateful to have used this studying tool.

Great study prep!. I had a new baby, husband with kidney stones, and no time to study. This was easy to do when I was watching my kids or during any task. I went through about 90% of the questions and focused on the ones I missed the most by taking the wrong question quiz until I got almost all questions right. Practically only studied about 7 hours according to the app and overall probably 1 month (if that) and I passed!

Beneficial study assistance. Am getting a better feel for test questions and how they are written with this prep. I have been back in field for 13 months now and site offers an opportunity to study with references provided minimizing my anxiety of taking exam. Plan on getting upgrade to expand study. Great feedback with stats of how I progress… my confidence has definitely improved.

Great way to study. I am preparing for the IC&RC exam and this is a great way to study and prepare. It’s not too much nor is it insufficient. The question of the day is a great way to study daily and then doing a quick 10 quiz is also helpful, especially when you do not want to over study or like myself cannot stay focused for so long because I get frustrated being unable to retain information. I do feel like it’s helping me but at the same time made me realize that I am not ready to test.

NCE Prep. I used this app to prepare for the NCE and found it to be super helpful to practice the question format and get comfortable testing in counseling. I did find that the test had more application questions instead of questions about who created this theory or when did this theory come out like I believed from using this app. I did pass my exam on the first try thanks to the Rosenthal purple book and CDs and this app. Just wanted to leave this review to help those approaching the exam freaking out because it seems to be little details that are easy to get confused.

I passed the LCSW exam my first try. This was the ONLY post-graduate study tool I used to pass the clinical exam. I bought the 1000 question version of this app outright for $40 back when that was an option. The current purchase options are steep 😬 but I would recommend paying for the quarterly option ($50), and just register yourself for a test date 3 months out to avoid procrastinating like I did. TAKE THE OFFICIAL ASWB PRACTICE EXAM so you know what to expect on the 170 question clinical exam (Colorado). I didn’t take the practice test and was blindsided a bit as a result. I initially wanted to give this app 4 stars because 1 OUT OF 25 QUESTIONS IS POORLY WRITTEN OR CONTAINS TYPOS, but the DEVELOPERS HAVE WORKED TO FIX THESE ERRORS A LOT OVER THE LAST 3 MONTHS. The interface is great, the app will highlight your weakest study areas and it allows you to customize mini-quizzes that target these tough subjects

Passed on the first try. I started using the app in September 2023 and at first only did the question of the day and the quick 10 question quizzes a few times a week until December 2023 (about 90 days before my comprehensive graduation exam) and then I paid for the premium subscription and began studying in earnest. I passed both my comp exam in February 2024 and the NCE in April 2024 on the first attempt. This app definitely helped!!

It works!!. I passed both my CPCE and my NCE. I used this app in conjunction with the “purple book” and free mock exams online. This app was extremely convenient when I wanted to study in drive thrus, check out lines, at school pick up waiting for my kids.. anywhere!! The information is relevant and useful. However, I would not only use this app- use it alongside other materials. One way they could improve the app is by asking questions that reinforce information learned in the previous question- build the questions off of each other for memory recall! Overall, this app was worth the price and helped me through two very difficult exams and for that I am grateful!

Convenient way to study!. The free question of the day, 10 question mini quizzes and ability to pay for access to 1,000 questions provides a convenient way to study! I also appreciate having access to three full length practice exams. Looses one star because the practice exams repeat questions you may already have studied in quiz format, and several questions on the exam are repeated more than once.

Passed by 22 questions!. I used this app daily for about 2 months prior to my LMSW exam. My main focus was getting through all of the questions in the 1000 question bank, and I was able to. I’d say that the actual exam had more application questions and questions where you have to choose the “best” or “next” out of the answers. This app definitely prepared me well. I needed 100 correct answers to pass and I got 122. Worth the money!

not great for lcsw-c. i used this app for my LMSW exam and loved it, but that was back in 2020 when they only charged $40 for unlimited access to the premium version. for the clinical exam, i tried using this app again and paid the quarterly amount for premium a few months before the exam. although, it was helpful in that it got me prepared for the structure of the exam and refreshed a few topics for me; i found that overall it felt like a waste of money. i stopped using it closer to the exam because some questions were out of the scope of SW practice and it became more stressful than helpful. i took the exam and passed first try, but felt like almost NOTHING from this app was on my exam. the app feels like 80% recall and the exam was maybe 10% recall. the aswb practice exam was actually far more helpful than any of the practice i did on this app.

Best study app out there!. I used this to study for my social work masters & clinical exams & passed both the first time. I love the ease of using this app on your phone or desktop — it makes studying feel accessible whenever you are & no matter how much time you have. Most importantly, the practice questions provided were comparable to what I experienced on my tests! The breakdown of topic areas was also helpful for me to focus my studying. Well worth the money to go premium!!

Truly a great app!. I’ve had a smart phone for a solid decade and have never felt my life impacted enough by an app to write a review before, however, this is now the second time I’ve utilized this application (once in 2017 for my LMSW exam) and most recently for my LCSW a week ago and both times I passed on the first try. With that being said, I tend to do fairly well on tests in general so I won’t attribute both successes to the app only, however, if you take the time, do the tests and daily questions for several weeks, you should be in pretty good shape for your exam. Also, the practice exam on the app is HARD. I barely passed it and am pleased to say my exam was much easier in comparison, so make sure you take the practice test as well to help gauge how prepared you are. Overall, I highly recommend the app especially for those who are willing and able to dedicate time to practice.

Doesn’t work. Every time I try to take any test it says “wrong questions number” I have attempted to solve this problem in various ways over several months. I have deleted the app, turned off my phone, turned it back on and reinstalled the app many times and it never works. I even purchased a new phone and reinstalled the app and still the same error. I’ve reached out to technical support so many times I’ve lost count and I get the same response to try the uninstall reinstall technique, or just use the web browser to access the questions. At this point technical support have stopped replying and now I’m left with an app that never works (it used to work just fine before the new version of the app took).

Important info for anyone taking MSW exam. I’ve heard lots of people recommending this app but I wouldn’t. I noticed I got a lot of questions that I didn’t know, which made me think that I needed this app to help me study. I started beating myself up for not knowing things which drove me to buy the $20 a month subscription. But upon further inspection, I noticed that a lot of questions weren’t from the KSAs and aren’t part of the exam at all! If you end up using it, know that your statistics (like at the end of a quiz) are rubbish because it’s going to pull questions from other professions. In the end, all it did was make me waste time learning things that aren’t relevant and made me question what I did know. If you found this review helpful, give it a thumbs up so others can see it!

Pros & Cons. I love the variety of questions for the Certified Alcohol & Drug Counseling version, however I’m not too impressed with the wording of the questions, they’re a bit confusing at times, use of big or difficult to understand words can increase testing anxieties. I recommend using language that’s easy for anyone to understand and later on articulate. Lastly, I love the explanations for each answer but some of the explanations are very vague and doesn’t offer a detailed explanation of the answer. A quick example would be, naltrexone treats alcohol and opioid and the explanation given mirrors the answer without further exploration. I’ve seen this pattern throughout several exams. Overall I love the app but I memorized some for the responses, which isn’t good but. Understanding the reason behind the answers are essential.

Not representative of test! Misleading!. I was using the free version of the app for a while and felt like the questions were similar to what is in the ASWB guidebook. As I’m getting closer to my exam date, I decided to pay for the subscription. While going through the questions, I realized that a majority of the questions are recall questions, and most of these would never be asked on the exam. I also noticed questions in there that seem to be directed towards other professions, such as asking about a specific autosomal genetic disorder, and the medical treatment that would follow this disorder. The subscription version is also riddled with spelling and grammar errors. Do not pay for this app! It will not help you prepare for the exam.

Fantastic LMSW exam resource. I passed my LMSW exam today on my first attempt. I missed just 16 questions. This is absolutely because of using this app to prepare. I cannot stress enough how helpful this app was— the fact it can track missed questions, your weakest subject, and provides excellent explanations for answers was the best way for me to study. I did not use any of the other guides I actually bought. At first, I was frustrated when I got things wrong. But I made sure to read the explanations provided and eventually I started understanding how the exam questions are set up and definitely learned how to slow down and really see what the questions were asking. I even picked up research and DSM-V facts I struggled with in school! I was referred to this app by my internship co-worker who also used it and passed her exam the first time after just one week of prep. Please, give this app a chance. Do EVERY question in the question bank. Read the explanations even for questions you get right! It really did help me with the exam, even if I was sitting there thinking I had failed right up to receiving the results. I want to thank the developers— you helped me reach a life-changing achievement!

Great Portable Addition to NCE Studying. Passed the NCE. I used this and the Purple Book. I wouldn’t recommend using this as your sole study tool. But it is great for when you’re on the go and for daily micro-practice. Remember, the actual NCE questions you will not find anywhere so do not waste time memorizing, it’s about application of concepts. If you make a lucky guess on this app, still click down and read the explanation.

Passed My Exams!. I can’t emphasize what an enormous help this app was. So much cheaper than other study options, and for me, so much easier to engage with and actually use. I’m neurodivergent, and I have no desire to watch videos about an exam, read long pages of boring text, or use flash cards. Instead, this app is hands-on practice of the exam I’d actually be taking. This is truly a pocket study companion. I could pull it out at a moment’s notice: in line at the pharmacy, in transit, or as just a little puzzle to take a break with, like Sudoku or Wordle but actually productive. It ticks the instant gratification box for me, and I even found some of the questions interesting or helpful to further investigate for my own practice. I recommend this app to everyone who’ll need to pass ASWB exams.

Will end up confusing you!. I have come across multiple questions that provide you with incorrect answers. For example, taking the dawn apgar study test an example indicating a diagnosis of schizophrenia asked what medication would be used for treatment. This indicates lithium, however I thought to myself that’s not right despite it being correct answer on the app. Just came across similar question on dawn apgar test, I selected lithium due to the response I put on this test and got it wrong. This has been the case for many questions. I would not use the app again as it has me second guessing what I already knew, then getting them wrong. Set up is convenient to take practice tests however I don’t believe these questions are similar to the ones on the actual test and dawn Apgars practice tests. I wouldn’t recommend.

Passed the AMFTRB MFT the 1st time!!!. I was excited when I learned that Pocket Prep came out with a study guide for the AMFTRB because I passed my ASWB years ago (on the first try) using only pocket prep. Last month, I passed my AMFTRB with an 81% on the first try. I mostly used pocket prep to study, but I also used some of my old textbooks to help me study as well. I felt like pocket prep prepared me well and made studying fun and easy. It never felt like a chore. I did notice that one or two mistakes in the prep questions, but overall I thought the material was helpful.

Pretty good. I’m considering upgrading to the Premium version as I get closer to my test date, but the basic version is good. The only complaint I have is regarding the question of the day. If you miss a day, you cannot go back by clicking on the day in the “calendar” screen to answer it. Just a little disappointing because by not getting to answer it, you also miss the question showing up in your “missed” or “answered correctly” sections for review later.

Awesome study source!. I LOVE this app!! I answered 10-20 questions daily for two months leading up to my exam along with a couple of other study methods. I passed on the first try! My two favorite parts of the app were 1) being able to analyze why I got a question right or wrong and 2) being able to pull out my phone and answer a few questions wherever I was at the moment - in line at the store, waiting for my daughter, anywhere! No time was wasted.

Worth IT!!!!. I utilized this app recently for my LCSW studies and I have to say it helped me a lot. To be completely transparent I used this app, the Dawn Apgar book, 3 months of intense study time especially- Saturdays and Sundays (I work full-time, 5 days per week)and the Dawn Apgar 6 month subscription- I preferred this app though). I did a subscription of this app for 2 months and did all 1000 questions. I loved the fact that there was an explanation for why the selected answer was either right or wrong and also a review, if applicable, of the other answer options or why the other answers would not be applicable. I loved the stats, gave a great boost of confidence and I loved the ability to flag and review. The practice exam felt real…my anxiety doing it told me so. I passed my LCSW, 1st try, and I can honestly say the questions on the actual exam were strongly inline with the content of this app, even some things that were not in the Dawn Apgar book. I would not say throw out Dawn Apgar because it helped as well. But in terms of learning to answer questions and tracing the brain to answer then, given the volume, this is a great addition. Like I said…WORTH IT!!!

LCSW. There’s a good number of questions here that are similar to the exam questions, which was very helpful. However there were a lot of questions on the exam that really did not show up on this app. I suggest anyone preparing for the clinical exam do the practice exam in the actual ASWB booklet to see what they’re in for. Also try the book 100 DSM questions every social worker should know. I saw a ton of questions on sexual dysfunction and marital issues on the exam that I haven’t seen on any practice/study tool so read up on that.

Passed LMSW exam on the first try, using only this app. This app is awesome. You can do quizzes based on time (ex., as many questions as you can do in 10 minutes) or based on questions (up to 100 questions at a time - can be only questions you’ve missed, only questions you haven’t seen before, or a mix of everything). The questions were very similar to the questions on the real exam. For cost reference, a subscription to this app with almost one thousand questions is $20/month; the ASWB charges you $85 for ONE practice test. I only used this app to study and passed on the first try with an 86% score (passing is 60-70%). Edit: I saw in other reviews that grammar or spelling errors make the questions confusing. I only noticed this one or two times and I got through almost of the questions; in my opinion, reviews saying it happens “frequently” are misleading.

Not reflective of the actual test at all. The biggest issue with this app is that there is a large number of questions around statistics, way too many. While there are questions about statistics on the exam, the proportion of these questions in the app are excessive compared to what is on the test. Your scores in this app are effectively meaningless in determining how you’d do on the exam because they aren’t actually testing you to the extent that they should be in other areas that will be more prevalent in the test.

Helps my ADHD brain study!. I was hesitant to pay for an app to study since I was already gifted the ASWB LMSW exam book that comes with the online study guide as well, but I absolutely have no regrets! The quick 10 quizzes are perfect to do here and there throughout the day and I appreciate the explanations that come along with the answers (whether you get the question right or wrong). I also know that these questions are valid/realistic questions for the exam as I have seen a couple overlap from the actual ASWB exam book.

Passed my exam!!. I paid for the monthly subscription along with using a test prep book to study before my LCSW exam. I just took my exam and passed and while I do think studying in other ways helped I also think that this app helps get in the mode of test taking and understanding the language that is used on the ASWB exam. I took the mock exam through the app and took quizzes daily while studying my wrong and flagged answers. I passed my exam by over 20 points and am happy with my purchase!

Excellent study tool for NCE….I hope!. I sit for the NCE in July. I’m using this app as a primary study source. I love the Quick 10 quizzes and that I can go back to review my weakest areas. I use this app for studying during work breaks. I make physical flash cards from the questions I miss. I appreciate the explanations that come with each wrong answer to help me learn. So far, it’s definitely been worth the investment to get the full version of the app. I use it daily!

Not worth it. Studying for EPPP. The questions are valid but do not reflect the type of questions on the exam. This app may give you a false sense of security when comparing it to other apps second the same function

Great. Needs to have exam mode to have an idea about time management otherwise everything seems okay

Needs modification. This app is very touchy. When attempting to scroll down to read and choose an answer, the light touch hits an answer which you haven’t yet picked therefore gives inaccurate results.

Notifications do NOT work. the app content itself is fine, but I only get my question of the day and study reminder notification about 5% of the time. I should be getting 2 notifications a day from the app but it’s averaging out to maybe once a week. I had to set a reminder in my calendar app to remember to study instead

This app helped me pass today on the first try. Quite honestly the best review app for my ASWB exam I don’t think I would have passed without this ! Can’t wait to utilize this app again when I sit for my clinical a few years from now.

5 stars. This app was instrumental in passing my LCSW exam. The practice questions were clear and helpful, and it referenced the Dawn Apgar textbook I was studying from as well for thorough continuity. It breaks down your weak points and helps put things in a better perspective. Highly recommend

Passed the LMSW and LCSW with this app. I’ve done TONS of practice questions from several different publishers and these by far are the best. I couldn’t believe how close these questions matched the questions on the actual exam, especially the LCSW. I wouldn’t take the test without this app for sure. I used this and the Apgar Social Work Licensing Clinical Exam study guide as a cross reference and passed on the first try.

Great way to practice your knowledge a little at a time. The exam is hard. This made practice easier for my short attention span. Taking 10 minutes daily to review content really helped when I actually took mock exams and the real thing.

PASSED THE LICSW FIRST TRY. This app is the reason I passed the ASWB LICSW exam on the first try. I paid $20 for the premium for 1 month, took multiple “Quick 10” quizzes daily, and ended up answering about 600 questions in preparation. The app prepared me so incredibly well for the exam. If you are taking the LICSW exam in the near future, this is the best way to study. Thank you app creators!

Wouldn’t have passed without this app. This app was the main reason I was prepared to take my masters level social work exam. The app kept me accountable and helped me narrow down what I needed to study up on. I paid for the monthly subscription and it was more than worth it.

Keeps resetting. The app has reset my progress twice without asking or prompting. Two weeks ago I was using it with spotty internet and thought maybe that’s why it reset, but today mid-quiz the app reset and I lost all of my progress. I will no longer be using this app, it is counter-productive to have to repeat questions over and over again. Too bad because the questions are helpful, I appreciate that I can select one topic to quiz myself on, and the app helped me a lot while studying for my first licensing exam.

Passed LCSW exam first try!. I wanted to thank you for such an amazing tool! This app was vital in studying for and passing my exam. I would take tests whenever I had a free min throughout the day. This PREPARED me for how test questions were set up and how to answer. Thank you again!

Great study app. I passed my LCSW exam today. This is the only thing I used to study. Use the daily question to keep yourself consistent. I did short spurts of questions to continue studying for at least a little while everyday. And the mock exams are difficult but a good study tool. Highly recommend… just be consistent in your studying!! Good luck everyone!

100% recommend. This app is very convenient! I also used it in Mac too- the web page. It’s full with material knowledge you have to know for the NCE and CPCE exams. However, don’t spend your energy memorize the questions, but the content. I passed both CPCE and NCE using this app and the purple book as my guide. Good luck!

Best App for ASWB Clinical Exam. This app help me so much preparing for AWSB clinical exam. It breaks down the four areas for the exam in this app. This app really prepares you how to study and training your brain to take the exam . It’s is the best app out there to help you prep for the exam . Trust me, this app is worth purchasing it. I finally passed this time around . Hello LCSW 🙏🏻 plus it provides you over 1000 practices questions .

Excellent!. I took my test today and aced it! 124 out of 160!!! This product was perfect for the working professional who needs to squeeze in some study time every chance they get. It was a supplemental tool, of course, but I felt confident and was prepared to succeed!! I recommend it!!!

This was my most helpful study device. I believe the pocket prep is what helped me pass the NCE the first time taking it. I used this app for about 3 months. Taking the full 200 question practice test helped me see where I was & it’s what made test when I did.

Amazing prep device. Easy to use, attractive interface, best prep tool I’ve used, ever. Prepping for the CPCE (essentially the NCE) and I’m actually enjoying the process. It tracks days, weeks, missed questions and answered versus never answered totals, to name just a few. So it’s easy to set fun goals.

An absolute MUST!. This was by far the most helpful thing I did to prepare for the NCE. To be fair I read, watched videos, and used flash cards. However this app was the most help. I am in the parking lot after just taking my exam and I scored a 124 out of 160, which from what I gathered online is pretty good. Get the app and pay the $20 at least for the last month before your test!

Excellent resource. I used this App along with several other supplemental materials. The review information is straightforward and gives excellent explanations on each answer. I am ONE and Done on my NCE and would not have been able to do it without the Behavioral App.

Very valuable!. Thank you so much for creating this app!! This was critical in helping me prepare for the test. Yes the questions were hard but they definitely prepared me for the actual test. Having the vast amount of questions available helped me solidify what I needed to know. It feels discouraging when I would get low scores but it was helpful to continue to push me to do better!! Thank you tons!

Very beneficial. I appreciate this app. I used it routinely with other study material. It helped having the option to see the answer right after a question to increase knowledge on a topic/ section. It is also helpful to be able to have it on my phone and use it on the computer. I passed the NCE on the first attempt! Thank you!

Passed the Exam. Behavioral Health Pocket Prep helped me pass my Masters exam. The study questions helped set the foundation and then the mock exam exposed me to the way the questions would be asked on the exam. I have used a couple different apps for study, and Pocket Prep was the one that was most similar to the exam.

Decent price for prep LMSW. Not sure which edition this app uses to formulate their questions but they are using SOAP acronym versus SMART goals. This app helped understand how to read the questions gives feedback on rational and it helps eliminate distraction answers. This app also review s family systems and macro which the TDC didn’t really expand on. I like the quizzes, tracking your progress, and the new mock exam.

NCMHCE. The organization and format of this app was great, user-friendly, and tracked my studying well. After just taking my NCMHCE, I did find the questions on the exam much more challenging with some different content focuses (specifically, I did not feel well prepared for the questions about assessment measures). If the developers updated the content to include more assessment instrument questions that would help. I did pass though, and this is the only resource I used aside from the DSMV.

Convenient and Practical. Able to take advantage of downtime by practicing on my mobile phone; questions with the content in the format of the exam. Tracking weak areas to hone in on by retaking questions or 10-question quizzes.

I want the old version back. Mid studying for the CSW the app switched to this new version. Ok, fine. I migrate over, but find that it looks like absolute garbage! What? Who designed this? What happened to the old, cleaner design? It doesn’t fit on my iPad screen, it is constantly reloading/refreshing questions, and just looks unappealing. It is a major downgrade. Sure the content is the same, but the quality of this app seems much much lower. The idea of a subscription service for a time limited need is stupid as hell, and it looks like it was created 15 years ago. What the hell, guys.

App is crap. Quizzes are good but app works like crap. I downloaded an old version months ago and they’ve since updated. I paid for subscription recently. Every time I close app while working through a quiz and reopen, it takes me back to the App Store and new version to open. Extremely cumbersome. I’ve contacted support and their fixes didn’t work. Frustrating when I am already stressed studying!

Such a great resource!. Paring this with the Purple Book and online recordings is what helped me pass my NCE yesterday!! I studied for about two months before the exam, and got through all 500 questions in that time. It’s worth the investment!

I passed. After two times studying so many different books I needed something different! So I tried this app studied diligently I did it! I passed my drug and alcohol test! I am now a Cadac1 thanks so much for putting this app together

Not for me. Most questions on this app are heavily recall based and quite frankly some are worded poorly. They are not like the actual test. Everyone I have talked to about this app says that the questions here are confusing and harder than those on the LCSW test and do not reflect the way the actual test is. This is just not for me- it may work for others but I am basing this on my own experience. I recommend using The Therapist Development Center instead. So long pocket prep. 👋

Must have for NCE. I passed the NCE on my first try. This was my only real study material. Do yourself a favor and subscribe to the full app a few months before the test. I cannot recommend this app enough. Studying was so convenient on my phone. I was even able to study while getting ready for my sisters wedding the weekend before my test.

Fantastic!!!. This is literally the only thing I used to study for my exam and I passed first try! I only used this app and took the practice exam. The app is so handy and convenient to use when you are busy but still need to study!

Notifications. I like this app, the aesthetic, the questions, the interface, etc. My sole complaint is that the daily question notification does not work following the last update, no matter whether I turn it off and on etc. it caused my several month streak to lapse and I’m still not getting notifications. Other than that I really enjoy the app!

Great Prep App. This app was excellent! 1000 questions with detailed explanations. These questions were also well written. They were much more challenging than my actual exam and I saw that as a huge plus when I was taking the actual LCS exam as my confidence rose after each question

You need this app if you want to pass!. This app helped me pass my clinical exam! It was very convenient to be able to study while on my phone at random times during the day! I even studied while in line at the grocery store and in between sets at the gym! Thank you for this awesome app! 10/10 recommended ti all my social work colleagues!

Passed LCSW exam on the first try with only 7 hours studying. I bought the Dawn Apgar book (which I never opened) and started using this app like 10 days before my exam. I put in about 7 hours of studying using the “QUICK 10” feature with 10 questions at a time. And today I passed my exam on the first try! Super happy, and highly recommend.

Good way to prepare. I can use the app whenever I want instead of bringing a book with me. Variety of tests keeps me busy and focused. I wish I’d known about this sooner than two weeks before my test.

Log out?. I am able to log into my previous account for pocket prep, and my previous purchase is there, but this is only when I click on the terms or privacy policy portal. When I exit and go back to the main app, it has the incorrect email that I entered to first log in because I got mixed up. However, it does not have any log out options, unless taken to another portal where the terms and privacy policy are. That is where my previous account is saved but after closing that portal, I am back to the wrong email with the free version.

My thoughts. I am loving this app because if I select the wrong answer it gives a full explanation. However, if a right answer is selected an explanation is also given in great details. This is exactly what I need to prepare for the licensure exam.

Paid version has glitches. Chapter 1 on Ethics has questions regarding assessments which is all messed up. When you select chapter 3 and 4 as well other questions unrelated are also in there. If I’m paying for the premium version to practice chapter by chapter I don’t think it’s worth it. Also their help service is extremely slow. You submit a request and they take so long to respond (which means you’re missing out on study days if the app doesn’t work right).

Preparing as a new mom. I failed the exam by 2 points previously. Then covid-19 hit and pregnancy. So currently, I am a mother with a newborn and this app allows me to take daily questions through the night. I also take weekly quizzes when baby is napping. It’s quick, at the tip of my fingers and also allows me to see my week areas. I am looking forward to premium once my score gets better. I am definitely motivated to take my LBSW and be licensed in a few months.

Extremely helpful. I downloaded this app in September and took my LMSW test on January 21,2023 and passed! This app helped me understand different theories and scenario questions. The daily questions and 10 quick quizzes helped me keep sharp on days I did not want to study too intensely. The only thing I wish this app had more of was "BEST" questions. Overall amazing app!

Customer services and app information. This is an awesome app. The owner of the app will respond to your email. I dealt with Alex. He was extremely nice. Is was about making sure I was satisfied. I did not stop until my issue was resolved and I was satisfied. Information is very helpful.

An awesome study tool!. Pocket Prep no doubt helped me pass my bachelors level LSW exam through ASWB. I finished all 1000 practice questions prior to test day and I have no doubt that I would’ve failed if I hadn’t purchased the premium membership and studied/utilized the app to the fullest.

Great—dare I say ‘fun’—tool!. I passed the NCE yesterday and this was one tool I used. I liked the ability to create my own quizzes. I also liked the feature that explains wrong answers. I spent a lot of time reading and writing my own notes on questions I got wrong. Good luck to all!

LSW and LCSW. I appreciated everything about this app in helping prepare for my LSW exam, however they switched to a subscription fee which means that in order to keep access, you have to pay again when your subscription ends. I still believe it is a valuable investment, but going from $40 with infinite access to $120/year is a bit steep.

Passed exam easily!. Used mostly the Quick Ten quizzes for the past 10 months at least 4 times a week. A couple of weeks before the exam, took three mock exams, passing them all. Felt prepared and passed on first try!

Helped me pass the EPPP. I used this to augment my EPPP studying and found it really helpful. While most of the questions here were not on the EPPP, the concepts were, so reading the explanations of the answers (even ones I got right) was really helpful.

Free version could offer a little variation. Great, however it would be nice if the free version at least rephrased the initial free questions to offer some challenge beyond taking the quiz once. I will likely buy the full version anyhow but the seemingly one day challenge of the free version gives me pause and will have me explore other options before I get stuck in a subscription

Helpful in studying for Clinical exam. I found this app helpful in practicing questions on daily. I paid the $20 for the subscription and felt it was worth it. No problems with the app and felt explanations on questions to be very helpful. Would absolutely recommend.

Love this app. Passed my LMSW exam today on my first attempt and I owe a lot of that success to this app! 100% recommend the 3 month subscription and taking advantage of the mock exam as well. Really helps you pace things and learn when it’s time to step away for a quick break. I’m grateful for this app!

Fantastic!. I used this app exclusively to study for my ASWB Clinical Exam. I passed the exam on my first attempt! Daily questions, Quick 10 quizzes, tracking your weakest subjects to focus on later, comprehensive explanations of correct and incorrect answers, the full 170 question practice exam - it’s all amazing! The Premium Prep Monthly service is the best money I ever spent. Totally worth it.
