DO NOT PURCHASE. In order for the remote to turn on/off the TV they make you turn off the authentication of your TV which basically lets anybody who controls that app connect to your wi-fi. IF YOU LET THEM CONNECT THEY CAN STEAL PERSONAL INFO.

Charging even though I didn’t took your remote service. You are charging me even though I cancel the subscription on same day when I downloaded your app, zero rating for the app

Don’t trust their privacy statement. Demands access to my location data. There is absolutely no reason to track my location.

Nice but clumsy User Interface. No.1 complaint is that it is NOT compatible with the Apple Watch. )Other remote apps in the App Store are.) Please add this functionality and I’ll gladly update my review to 5 ⭐️. No.2 complaint - crashes every time I try to customize the input buttons! This seems more apparent since I updated my iPhone 15 Pro to iOS 17.6.1. Every time I open the app it hangs on the launch page showing that it’s building the link to my Sony tv. (My WiFi signal is NOT the issue. It is consistently strong and a router is a mere 5 ft away from the tv.)

Does not work. I don’t usually like writing reviews. Especially bad ones but I need others to know as well as the developers of the issues this app has. I love how simple (ideally) it is to connect to the TV. It will show up in the available devices as it’s IP address and it was pretty easy to tell which IP address was the TV’s but when I went to connect the tv to the remote app I always get an error message saying connection failed. This needs to be fixed. I have even tried manually setting it up which is still extremely simple if it worked. Please fix and let me know when it is I would love to use this app but if it’s not going to work I’m not going to bother with it.

Best Sony Remote Out There. The app syncs easily to your devices, and it’s quite easy to use.

Advertising. Ugh. The ads popping up is annoying. If you aren’t looking at remote because your looking at tv. The app pops up and now you have clicked on the ad. 😡

Shocking. It actually worked, I couldn’t believe it! I thought I was gonna get a virus or something, but it actually works and works well! Easy to set up too!:)

It worked, but it definitely can be better. At first, it was a little hard to set up and our tv said it was blocking access, but we followed the instructions and got it up and running. I like that they have different kinds of remotes and you can just go to the app instantly and have it up and running. (If you had it open in the background while previously using it) Don't let the image looking remotes fool you, they work. However, the ad pop ups are terrible. Every 10-15 or so presses brings up an ad and it's very annoying. Otherwise, it worked fine for me, didn't like the ads though, that's why I'm giving it 4 stars.

Works great. Works great! Bought the ad free version because I ended up using it quite a bit. One thing is that it doesn’t turn the TV on. So when it’s off an you can’t find the remote you can’t use this app. Otherwise works perfect

Salty. The app takes several times of swiping out and starting over to get it to work. Once it’s working it’s fine, but I spend so much time just trying to get it to start! I have a current iPhone and a new Sony tv. Not real happy with it but want to be.

To many ads. Although it works great when no ads pop up, ads pop up constantly and can’t get away from them. Not even if I try to pay for the app.

The Best Sony Remote Period. Stop your search and get this app. This app has worked without a single problem. TV auto-connects every time. The available interfaces are well designed for their own purposes. Everything just works and I have no complaints whatsoever. Buy the membership if you appreciate the app. I would like to thank the developers for this app. I’m very grateful to find this from this App Store crowded with broken apps with false promises. Crappy app doesn’t work and I paid for no adds. App is crappy and doesn’t let me connect always freezes every time I try and connect and when I try and pair with my tv it doesn’t let me or says I’m not on Wi-Fi when clearly both my tv and phone are automatically set to Wi-Fi

Remote goes in and out. You have to reprogram remote and cut tv on manually once turn it off with remote. Now you have to complete cycle again.

Works Great!. I have many Sony TVs in the house and have lost the remote. This app works for the garage TV perfectly. Seem less connection so far. Easy set up instructions. Would recommend.

Awful. Worst app ever! It Will not connect unless it feels like it and when it does it glitches constantly! So frustrating and the apps just pop up and you continue to accidentally click on those too, and not purposely!

Doesn’t connect. Unfortunately I’m unable connect. I’ve tried to connect to every device listed. There was one that took a couple mins before stating an error message, just like the other devices.

Do not get. Potentially the worst app I have downloaded on my phone. You get about 4 clicks into an add you can’t quit out of. I am sure there are better options as a temporary remote.

Tried and tried. I downloaded this app and i went through the directions over and over and it will not connect . I’ll say one thing else the short video clip moves to fast to see the selections made . Had to watch several times . Think the developers needs to realize that not all of us are computer genius .

Controls my TV pretty good.. For the most part this controller is pretty good. The only complaint I have is with the volume as I have to press it repeatedly to increase the volume instead of being able to just hold it down and that’s a bit annoying. Also it would be nice if there was a wide view for landscape mode on the iPad. Other than that it’s spot on.

Ok it works. It’s slow to load most of the time. Works with my tv though. If an ad pops up good luck. There’s no way to close the ad. You have to restart the slow loading app. I’d say this app works in a pinch if you misplaced your remote or it’s nit by you. But this is not an app to replace your remote with.

Works well, only one concern. The app works perfectly and I like that there is dark mode in these apps for once! My only problem is that I have 2 Sony TVs on the same network, and they do not show the TV’s name. I had some trouble finding the right TV, but the overall experience was pretty good.

Works great for 70” Sony!. UPDATE: Caution! Once you try this app, you will be hooked! This smart phone remote has been a game changer & now I can’t go back! Admittedly, it was a little awkward at first, but when your sweet hubby falls asleep snoring in his recliner and it’s okay to leave him there, now I don’t even have to leave my bed to turn the TV off!!! No longer do I have to shout, “please turn the tv down,” when needed; when the family sees the volume magically decrease and I’m not in the room, they just get it! 💯👍 Old physical remote is now repaired, but I am officially hard-wired to this app! 😂😂😂 Initially had to find alternative suddenly when physical remote failed; this was the 3rd app I tried and it has really delivered! Worked seamlessly w/ my Sony tv via the same WiFi network. Using the free version (very few ads), but maybe the paid version has a long press option? Love that I can press buttons from anywhere within my WiFi network reach: the remote doesn’t have to face the tv! Recommend over any other Sony remote apps!

Unbelievably Great App. Staying in an Air BnB w/no remote. Downloaded this and was up and running within minutes. Great work…and I’ll gladly throw you a few bucks for a job well done.

It worked!. My remote wasn’t working on my Sony tv and I downloaded this and it worked instantly on tv! 10/10 for temporary fix.

A good temp fix, but that’s about it.. My Sony TV remote died, so I downloaded this app till the replacement arrives. If the app worked better, I wouldn’t spend the money on a new remote, but that’s not the case. It worked well once, then after turning the TV off and back on again, I had to remove the app from my phone and reload it again in order to get it to work. Also, the entire remote image doesn’t fit on my iPhone 12 screen, so I have to scroll up or down to get to the top or bottom of the remote. Yeah, I know, 1st World Problems, but I’d expect it to work better overall than it does. Also, adds pop up, but they can be removed for a one-time in-app payment of $3.99. If I liked the remote, I’d pay it. But it’s a no-go for me. Since it’s a free app, you clearly get what you paid for.

So buggy now. This app started out great, but in past few weeks the app now has Socket, socket error er 1 Sometimes if you restart the app a few times it will work but less and less each time it happens. What happened?

Good alternative to the real thing. Good replica of my Sony Bravia remote control. A few ads but not over the top.

2.5 stars. Bruv, why does a tv remote need ads like when I was using this app my remote for the tv wasn’t working properly so I downloaded some apps to use and this was one of them and THEY USE AN PNG IMAGE OR SOMETHING FOR THE REMOTE… like u have to use the buttons on the image to use the remote. And guess what… THE REMOTE (the remote that was a png image) WAS DIRTY! Well I guess cuz they got it off of google or something but still. It did the job tho so yeah. Like 2.5 stars but it doesn’t let me do that so I just did 3 lol.

The only one that works. It has a lot of ads but it works instantly the only one that worked with my smart EKO tv I really insist you try this one first ! It will have a code that will appear on your tv screen very clearly you write that in and your phone is connected like I stated before there is a few adds but for being free and look rather cheaply made it works amazingly I couldn’t say the same for non smart or older but for an eko smart tv works amazingly

Good. I don’t like all the adds but I does connect to mu Sony tv but slower I don’t recommend to buy the app but if you want to pay money to remove adds go ahead but think because if the remove adds is a scam there would be no refund I think so have a good day.

Terrible. The only reason I’m giving 5 stars is because I have to explain that my experience was extremely poor. Not only does this app connect to your internet but they literally will play with the internet connection and ring you saying they are Telstra and that your internet connection is poor. I am not the owner of the internet in my house so I knew something was fishy but once I deleted the app and reconfigured my internet it went back to normal. Scammers trynna scam and I’m not playing I’ll take this up with Apple Store and have y’all taken down you idiots.

Remote for newer Sony x95k?. 5 stars bc you knocked it out of the park with the LG Remote app AND collect zero data. However, in the Sony Remote app I don’t see the latest remote (bought the 2022 x95k and still don’t see that one as of Nov ‘23). Please advise if any existing remote would work fine and or if you might upload the latest Sony remote.

Works fine on my Sony X95K. Trying to “type” on the original TV remote is a pain, to say the least. For the small one time payment to remove ads, I would say it is well worth the money.

Not working without GPS localisation. Cannot use the application because it requires to activate the localisation gps. This is ridiculous. I’m not talking about finding devices on the network but having accès to my gps location. Why would it need to know where I’m located? I have other apps that connects to devices on network without asking for gps location.

Loss of function. This latest iteration ignores smart tvs by eliminating INPUT that allows selection of streaming stations. If you have a smart tv, this is not the remote for you.

Nope. Junk. Cannot use keyboard (the only reason to have it). Endless loop: device must be synced - enter key (provided by app) - select keyboard- type letter - device must be synced. Repeat……

Horrible! Don't use this.. This is the worst app on Apple. There's an advertisement that pops up every few seconds and you have to endure it just to click a single button on this virtual remote app. Terrible!!
