Camera 👍, camera mount👎. Great camera. I was under the impression that it fits with all escort radar detectors. However this is not the case. I have the x80 and it does not fit.

Pitiful. Doesn’t work with iPhone X with ios12, always shows ‘camera busy’. Initial impressions not positive but will update after looking at the video by pulling the microSim and downloading via the computer.

Doesn’t work same problem as everyone else.. I’m getting the same problem as every other person on here, i.e. won’t load the live feed. I contacted customer support and they tried telling me it’s because my phone is connected to T-Mobile and they’re trying to fix it as soon as possible. What kind of pathetic freaking excuse is that? How does my carrier have anything to do with why my dash camera that has nothing to do with T-Mobile or a cell phone network make it so it won’t load a live feed? Furthermore, it’s worth noting they haven’t put out a single update for the camera since the launch of it 6 months ago. I’m sure they’re trying to fix it as quickly as possible thanks for letting me throw $200 down the drain without even telling me this problem could effect me 👏👌🏻

M1 DashCam.. Excellent quality and easy to use and down load. I have one for each car. Only problem is one of them will not turn on with the smart cord. I have to have to plug it into the USB port to get it to turn on and work. The radar detector works fine through that cord. Any one else have that problem?

Very nice 1 flaw.... Camera works well only thing is if u have Sprint or T-mobile u need to go to airplane mode to watch live and recorded camera footage..but camera stills records the whole time it’s on so no biggie..not like i’m gonna be driving around with live feed on...when i need to view a recording I just flip to airplane mode hit the M1 app and camera comes right up...

Turn off cell data for TMobile users. Apparently the app doesn't work with T-Mobile iPhones without turning off cell data for the M1 app because T-Mobile is on an IPv6 network. This apparently affects their app somehow. Turning off cell data in your iPhone settings for the M1 app fixes the problem. The app itself could use a facelift, not a big fan of the UI but it does what it says it does.

SAD. Wow... DO NOT buy this. I was so happy with my escort 360max... but $215 for a Camara that doesn’t display on the App screen!!! Then when I try to access my video log it tells me “camera is busy” but it’s not recording! So how am I Supposed to know if it’s facing up or down properly. 2 if something happens can I access my videos? I really hope they have an update ASAP and then I’ll update my review. Until then, I will be looking for a new dash cam and app!

App just ok.. There is no way that I can figure out to display vehicle speed along with time and date stamp because the detector knows this info.

Great product, No Issues.. After reading all the negative reviews, tbh I was initially turned off. I’ve owned a few Escort devices through out the years and I think they have all been high quality products. I’m glad I went ahead and purchased the dash cam anyway. The app needs a little polishing for sure, but overall it works great. Just make sure to connect to the dash cam’s WiFi network first before opening the app.

Bad app. Not sure why so many positive reviews… The app has never worked well for me. The app will crash and close most of the time. Now the SD card is full and the app just constantly crashes. What a piece of junk.

Don’t Buy the M1 until the device or app gets fixed.. Connected my new M1 this morning, then installed the app, and have not been able to get the cam and app to work. My iphone X connects via wifi to the device, but i then receive an endless spinning “working” indicator. I started searching online and then found that my issue is not only uncommon, but the norm. Escort charges a premium for its products because we expect them to perform better than the competition. Please Fix this immediately, or i need to return the device.

Hard to say if it’s the app or camera. When things work it’s “ok”. Nothing stellar. Like the title said, it’s hard to tell if the glitches are on the camera side or app side. But the app is taking the fall for shortcomings in this case. Some of the pros: -It’s nice to pull footage without removing device -it’s nice to change settings on the fly Cons: -constantly disconnecting or has some sort of failure -can’t delete footage that was automatically tagged by the G sensor -no way to back out from video edit mode. Close app and start over -video downloads are ridiculously slow, even when things are not disconnecting/crashing/failing -no real explanation on some settings (for example G-shock sensor levels are 1-4. Is 1 the highest or the lowest?) I really do have big hopes for escort. They are about the only American dash electronics company. But so far things haven’t changed much. Mediocre products for premium prices. It would be nice if they switched that around the other way.

Connection. Always having connection issues

App is useless. My whole purpose of purchasing this dash cam was to be able to view the footage directly from the app. All I get is “camera is busy... please wait”. Escort claims the footage can be viewed instantly. This is total BS. Please fix ASAP.

M1 Dash Cam. I have a aluminum blendmount for my Escort IX. Blendmount sells a 3/4” screw kit for the Escort M1 Dash Cam. It was very easy to swap out the screw and install the camera. I like that an extra power cord was not needed. Plug and play. I am practicing downloading the video files now. Very simple.

Absolutely worthless!. This application is absolutely without a doubt the most WORTHLESS app I have on my iPhone. I have read where ESCORT has blamed it on the phone carrier being T-Mobile and that would not apply to me since my carrier is AT&T which happens to be the second largest network in operation in the US. I would have to honestly say that I am connected to the camera no more than 20% of the time. The additional 80%, It gives me a network error in which I go through the same motions every time of closing the app, switching off the radar camera and bringing them both back up again only to find that at best, 50% of the time it will reconnect. The reconnection is short-lived and it may be 2 to 3 minutes before it shuts off and I get the error message again. Location is not a thing because there are times that it will connect in the morning and then during the evening commute home that same area will not give me a connection. I will be writing a follow-up review after contacting customer service which I hope will not be in vain as so many have previously reported. Again, as this app stands presently, this app is a waste of time to even download. All that it leads to is constant frustration.

file don’t work. everything is work well but the M1 Dash Cam file in the M1 App not working when I click to open it , the app kick me out right away and shut down the app ! how can I fix that problem?

M1 not for latest phones. I saw a lot of comments on the app endlessly spinning. I tested it on several iPhone models and found it didnt work on the iPhone Xs and Xr but it did work on older phone (I had a 6 and a 7+). I have tried opening a ticket with Cedar Electronics and they now about the issue but will not update the product sell pages to identify issues. It was a real hassle getting a prepaid return label from them until I told them I would dispute per the cc merchant agreement.

Escort M1. Update the camera to see it solves a problem that the camera can not see in the application. no image is shown in the application it comes out loading and nothing happens. a $ 200 camera that does not work and the application has so many flaws and that the company is so recognized is not worth having escort devices

Sorry. Camera itself is fine the plus of a easy install even better. The APP isn’t compatible with IOS12 or 12.1, tested camera with an old 6s on iOS 11. The old phone iOS works. No response from the manufacturer no one is answering their phones. Don’t buy the M1 camera and give these jerks any of your money!

M1 camera issues. Doesn’t work good the iphone App. With iphone X ios 12.1 doesn’t work the preview video and records videos. Waiting app update.

M1. Easy to set up and operate works as it should recommend it Escort Radar detector

Great with one exception. The M1 dash cam is great, but the app needs some work. You can’t effectively export a video file properly and that is kind of the whole point of having this camera setup. Most likely can be fixed. But needs to be addressed. Other than that, all is well.

Completely Unusable - PLEASE fix this!. If you’re going to charge $200 for a dash cam that can only be controlled from an app, then that app better be great. The M1 app is quite the opposite. -cannot see what the camera is seeing so you have no idea if you’re mounting it properly. The screen just keeps spinning with no end. This also means that you cannot live stream. -so you decide to just record a few seconds and then go back to check the footage to see if you placed the camera properly. But NOPE... the app won’t let you check the files or see any recordings. It just gives you an error message. ***So you cannot see what the camera lens sees and you cannot review the footage it does capture.*** I really hope there will be an update within my return window because I had high hopes for this camera and it has done nothing but fail me so far.

Nice addition.. Very nice addition to my escort max 360c, the image quality is fair and the functionality of the unit seems to be everything I expected. However, the one gripe I have about it in the few days I’ve been using the product, the mount bracket. I wish that the mount bracket for it had been integrated into the actual radar detector to keep the quick disconnect functionality of the magnetic bracket. Instead the unit attaches to the bracket bolt itself and therefore must be unplugged from the detector and disconnected separately from the bracket every time you exit the vehicle, otherwise the entire bracket has to be removed from the windshield to prevent theft. Other than that nice unit.

App shuts down on opening. The app used to work. Now it just closes when it connects to the camera.

I’ve been super upset with not being able to view recordings or live view since buying this. Customer service has been no help and still no updates to fix the problem. I don’t recommend this device to anyone until the problem is resolved.

Basic and disappointing. This app is basic and worthless. Very little thought went into features and usability.

Horrible junk. No tech support, no customer service, products not what they used to be. They should be ashamed for what they charge with no support for products. Horrible company.

Unwanted Purchase. I read through this app and it looks likes it’s FREE . I had to use my thumb print to continue the download of this app and it said afterwards ..... thank you for your purchase ! If I did purchase anything here it was UNKNOWINGLY .... and I want it removed . I do not own the camera devise needed for this product nor do I want it . I was looking for a FREE APP . I deleted this App from my phone .

Great Concept. App is very difficult. The only way I have gotten the live video to work and to access files on the camera directly to the app is to put your phone in Airplane Mode, turn Wi-Fi on, then make sure Escort M1 is connected. Then bam it should all be there. I think there is too much Bluetooth interference with my escort live app and other things. By turning off all interference the app fires the live feed right up.

Worst app imaginable. Do not bother buying the M1 dash cam until this app is updated. I bought the dash cam and was extremely excited, however after I got it installed and I opened the app I was in utter disbelief. The app looks like it is stuck in 2009 based off the look. And the functionality isn’t any better. The user interface is absolutely horrible and the app’s connection to the device itself is incredibly poor. It honestly boggles my mind that this company even launched the product with such an embarrassing app to go along with the camera. This product has been out for over a year I believe and they have not pushed a SINGLE update to the app or the dash camera. The fact that this company has such a blatant disregard to its customers concerns is despicable. I can tell you that I will NEVER buy another product from escort EVER.

Terrible product. Will not connect to phone. Worked ok for 6 months. Updated firmware after it malfunctioned. Now zero. Death spinner or app just shuts off. I have Verizon, so don’t believe it is a certain carrier. Can’t tell if camera is working or not. Junk.

The app works.. and needs to be fixed. Giving this app 3-star review because it does work but also needs to be fixed because if you’re using T-Mobile, the app won’t work unless you turn off cellular data (or go into Airplane mode and then turn Wi-Fi back on). Should be a simple fix for the Escort app development team to make, so once they do I’ll update my review to include more stars and additional feedback.

iPhone X. Just got my m1 In installed it the way they said witch was simple, shows it is recording but no live stream or any app functions working other then it just showing it’s loading for something waited about 10-15 min turn it off and on reset my phone and no luck. Escort did not think this thru and should stick to radars

Avoid. At least till update or next version. The camera it’s self is easy to hook up and integrates nicely to my Max 360. That being said this app is horrendous. It’s takes 10 minutes to download a one minute file to your phone. I cant imaging having to wait that long to show a police officer in an emergency situation. Escort I expected better of you at a $200 price point and as a “leader” in technology for radars

Slow app!. Great features. App is stupidity slow to access the videos and downloading a video takes a STUPID amount of time. No effort from the developers to fix this at all! No updates in two years!!!

Crashes upon startup. Tried deleting and reinstalling and nothing. Useless.

DONT BUY DOESN’T WORK. Absolutely do not buy this dash camera. It doesn’t work. The wheel on the App just spins, no live stream, not sure it even records. Never should have been released to market. Just another product that proves escort should be out of business.

Dash cam. Great little camera, wish the display would show the mph your driving to support any claims of speeding or reports of misconduct. Just shows date and time..... Other than that it’s great.....

M1 dash cam. Love it! Never failed on me. I only wish they will come up with a new one with parking mode and as well rear dash cam. This one is still worth buying.

Defective app - blank screen.. iPhone 7+, iOS 12, escort max 360 App does not allow access to photos, does not show streaming. Cam is working, there are images on SD card. But a key function of the product is completely inoperable. called tech support, who after a long wait, connected, and kept asking if cam was connected by Bluetooth. ( there is no Bluetooth on the product) Tech staff could not help, and design staff is apparently overseas, and gone for the day. Very not happy. Very disappointed. Very perturbed. Will revise review if resolved within 24 hours... Seems to have all the hallmarks of a beta release rather than a finished product. Escort, you owe owe me for debugging your product!

Escort Redline 360c - M1 Dash Cam w/ Mirror Mount, Mirror Tap - Toyota Tundra Crewmax. Living in RVA (Metro Richmond, VA area) I needed something completely stealth and the Escort Redline 360c is hands down the only option. Plug and play. I drive all day every day for work and cover most of the state avg. 250-400+ miles per day so the convenience of knowing were I can open it up a little without being reckless is a benefit....time = $ and the amount of people that drive in the rear view mirror these days is atrocious in addition to those looking to get hit I needed a dash cam. The convenience of having them mounted together and again plug and play is perfect for me. It’s a clean look and add the Blendmount Mirror Mount & Mirror tap made it that much cleaner with no wires hanging down and now you don’t see the suction cup on the windshield which is even more stealth as the whole mount sits more under my mirror rather then fwd a few more inches. The app for both the M1 and Redline is super easy and extremely user friendly! I highly recommend both as well as the Blendmount products. I need to find a rear camera now and I’ll be set. Wish the one in my Tundra was capable of performing more then a backup but wishful thinking!

Doesn’t work with iPhone 14 Pro Max. I’m a long time Android user who switched to an iPhone Pro Max. This app refuses to see that my dash cam is connected. What’s puzzling the app still works on my old Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus so I know the dash cam isn’t the issue.

Please add a no Star Option. By far, this is one of the worst apps ever created. The app disconnects and does not work, regardless of the carrier. What company would blame the actual carrier? Escort radars are the best, but this app is the worst. Escort, please fix this because my M1 is useless compared to a 25.00 cam with an operational app.

Need to fix immediately. Have had an M1 since Christmas of 2018 and still for the 4 whole months I’ve had it there hasn’t been one update for this app. I’m having the same problems as everyone else. It will not connect to the camera. And I can’t even see the videos that are saved to the camera as well. I have to plug the DashCam into my computer to actually get to see the videos. I have an iPhone 10R with sprint as my carrier and still having issues.. need to fix soon or defiantly going to send it back. I bought this to use the option of having the ease of ability by having everything right on your phone and I can’t even do that.
