hard to understand. I do understand that this app was obviously made in a different country that doesn’t speak english because multiple words on instructions are wrong and even on the app. I’ve tried a lot of times while i’ve had these lights to connect to the lights but the only thing that changes the light is the buttons on the thing that plugs in. The remote and app don’t work at all. Honestly if the remote worked i wouldn’t be writing this review. Me and my dad have changed the batteries in it multiple times and it does not work even after that. I got these given to me from my cousin she didn’t open them at all and when I did nothing worked except the buttons on it. Don’t buy this unless you want to have a very difficult time connecting to the lights.

Read that. I really like these lights, but the only thing that makes me a little mad is that they are not long enough!

Unless You Can Read Chinese…No. If you bought a product that needs to use this app, you’re screwed. Use the remote instead and if that breaks, buy a new set of lights and double check the software it uses first. It’s really not worth your time trying to figure it out. The remote works fine until it stops working…

Not bad but not great. It’s not a bad light but if you do get to lights the second one will dim and this app no longer has the white light to change the “yellowness”or “whiteness” just the colors and even so the handheld remote cannot be customized which make the basic remote difficult Im gonna try to get another remote to fix that but I don’t think that’s the issue also when it plays music with the light it just does the flash mode

Disappointed😞. Although everyone says it doesn’t work or not to buy.. I beg to differ. It does take awhile to get it to connected or even acknowledged via bluetooth but i managed to make it work in single (wifi) mode. Although i couldn’t turn it up ALL the way it could otherwise it would randomly turn itself on and off at 3/4 of the brightness it does in fact stay on and work completely fine. Unfortunately I cannot sign back into my account to even configure let alone just turn it on. It continuously says loading and then Network Error. Would i recommend it? No, because I now am truly disappointed in the product.

Not working. It worked for a few weeks then all of a sudden it won’t work now. reload it and everything unplug the lights and plug back in the remote doesn’t work either so i’m bewildered on what’s going on and there is no help for it on any site.

They don’t work good. The LEDs will work on and off I will go into the app and it just doesn’t connect it works sometimes but I’ve had them for a month now and it’s getting worse don’t get these they aren’t the best go for a better brand don’t use them.

They work but. The lights were fine but the app would not let me connect to the internet that it want me to go to.I got them before to connect but I accidentally hit log out and now I can’t

App attempts to be user friendly- fail. Good: While like another reviewer has said, lights work and there is plenty of options in a variety of different shades, it’s nothing special. The bad: it works intermittently, and I’m near my server/modem and IN connectivity is not at blame. Also, how does the business development team expect a wide market in sales of this device when, 1 of only a couple exciting features of this app/ Device extremely limited. The qualifying music to allow this “music to lights” service is extremely limited. That’s an understatement, actually, as this feature has been around for a while. Outdated software? Music tastes and styles are fluid and are all over the spectrum. Option to add “play my music” would be the least, in terms of this devices viability potential to sell to a wider market, the developers could do. Send an update ASAP,please.

Lights work great but the app does not at all. I love the lights but I put them up at first not caring about adding it to my phone then when I tried it doesn’t work at all, even the other reviews will tell you it doesn’t work and it’s true, I just have to hope to god this remote doesn’t break or something because I don’t know if I’d even be able to pair another remote to them

Not working after a while. I kept my lights ine color for a while and when I wanted to change or do anything with it it wouldn’t work

Nice lights. Gottem at Walmart for $20 and for a year everything’s good. Also been using my Alexa with it which I like bc I’m always losing the remote. Only thing I wish it had was more customizations as in only have certain parts of the light on or have multiple colors at the same time. Other than that I like these LEDS 💯👍

Good honestly. I give it five starts because the lights do work and change colors it’s just the app isn’t letting me play music with them but I’m glad they came and work so five stars to that.

About the light. They do not stay up the best but they are good lights to pick because they Bluetooth to your phone so if you lose the remote you can still Control the lights.

Led lights. The lights have good colors that I’m satisfied with but the aspects are awful. About a week ago one of the 2 strips turned to red and it stays like that now, even when I tried changing the color. The app is terrible I clicked the colors from the app to see if they would change but nope. This product needs some serious work. Would not recommend buying.

awful app. where to begin…1. the app stopped working after one day of using it claiming i had a network error and wouldn’t let me use it 2. now the light are useless bc i can’t even turn them on…… lights worked great but super frustrating that i wasted my money. 3. the music feature doesn’t work. DONT BUY THESE LIGHTS

working conditions.. I do not like it. Not only does it not work without wifi, but after a few days it stopped connecting and working for my LED strip lights completely. It says they are connected, but they do not work. they won't turn on and off from the app, they won't switch colors with the app, nothing. And to be frank it's made me quite mad because I don't have a remote for these LED lights, and therefore i cannot do this manually. And I've spent my fair share on these lights, just for them to not work with the app they told me to download.

App works fine but.... App works fine but the the color selector green and blue are swamped so when I chose blue it goes to green and the same the other way this also happens with purple and yellow

I’d give it 0 starts if possible. Worst app ever. I’ve tried connecting to my lights multiple times and it says I’m “not close enough to my router” and other crap like that. I’ve been trying to connect for hours, deleting the app, turning off my phone, and doing everything I can think of. If anyone finds another app you can use with lights that’ll work please let me know because this is the worst piece of crap ever.

Problems nonstop. I can’t believe how often the app disconnects and also how often Alexa disconnects! I bought 6 packages of these and every single string is garbage! They never will have the same color along the strips which I can replace. It’s the lost connection daily that tells me, NEVER buy lights that use this app!

PROBLEMS. So I just got this app and I have been trying it on on. And i can’t get the WiFi password?? I don’t know what the WiFi password is? Bc it is not in the instructions. And I usually don’t read the instructions. Then it just say “network error”. WTHeck. But seriously I don’t know the WiFi password. I read the instructions like 50 different times. And everything I do it says “network error”.

it’s good. I’ve had it working for over a month now, no bugs. it’s actually been very easy to set up. All the other reviews are saying it’s trash, and I kinda assumed i was boutta get scammed, but everything’s been great, no problems :)

horrible tbh. waste of money. I got the KEXU led lights for my bedroom and starting off they didn’t come with instructions. first red flag. second was when i first got this app it took hours for the lights to connect to my phone but before that it too a month to figure out how to even set them up because the video in this app wasn’t clear enough. besides the red flags, one pet peeve i had was whenever i leave my house and come back i have to go through the process of connecting it again because for some reason the connection would be lost. also the fact that it has a timer and you can choose when to turn your lights on at a specific time or something why not let it customizable? like if your someone who sleeps with led lights than this would be terrible. because i was gonna time it to turn to bright white to wake me up but i can’t customize it. ✅tho those things are annoying they do work well with my google (but i have to reset it up when my phone looses “connection” [meaning my phone and lights weren’t connected] which makes nooo sense) , there’s one mode where i could have my google turn my lights on when i arrive home or leave. and i’ve had them for a year and so far their good like haven’t fallen off my wall or broke or anything like that! still doesn’t make up the annoying parts. sorry if this doesn’t makes sense but be thoughtful before buying these!

App not connecting to Wifi. Light does flash, it seems to be good. The app on the other hand, asks gps location etc. then it does not connect to WiFi, it just going circles ask to go to network connection. The WiFi input name grayed out so you can not type the WiFi name. Tried to just type the password, same result. No error messages. Very confusing. Does anyone know there might be other apps for my smart light bulb?

Owa Owa. these likes are super bright! but i tried for TWO DAYS to connect the app to my LED lights but it would always say ERROR i tried everything to fix the problem but no matter what i did it would never work!! so forget about trying to connect the lights to this app it’s a waste of time and effort! but i do have to say the lights themselves are really bright and nice!

ABSOLUTELY NO HELP. After checking lights to make sure they worked, I then unplugged it, installed, then reconnecting. Nothing happened. Then after looking for manuals, for setup, nothing for troubleshooting. Contact info? None, no where. And the app is complete garbage. It’s only usable on the app, Alexa can only control power and one color. None of the special stuff! What’s the point of getting it compatible with Alexa if u can’t use most of the features and functions!!!?!??!???!?!

Frustrating. So I need to use the lights for a production in 20 minutes but they won’t connect. I keep getting a network error, but my network is working just fine. I really need to move on to other things, but instead I’m fooling with these lights.

Dumb app don’t get. Does not let me sign in when my network is working properly so annoying never buying these lights again such a waste of money and the light don’t even work properly some parts show different colors so don’t waste your money on these lights.

Great lights, few problems. They advertised it saying the lights would dance with your music, the app only allows 3 songs to be played, 3, it’s an absolute joke! I should be able to play my music not one of there 3 songs they chose for me, should have been stated instead of “lights dances with your music”, there should be an update to make it so you can play any song U WANT! Also I’m pretty sure when the lights are dancing to the music it’s just on a flash mode and not corresponding to the song, it was false advertising! But the lights work great and have for a very long time, just disappointed because the dancing to your music was the only reason I bought them!

Amazing. For me personally, it really did work amazing. There was no difficulties with connecting it. I think overall it was wonderful.

Cannot make pair on fully up to date iPhone. I have set up 50+ smart devices on my life. I’ve been doing this a long time. I used to do network TCP/IP professionally. I can assure you, I’m not doing anything wrong and I’ve tried every single one of the ways. This is just really shoddy software and the controller’s themselves may also have quality control issues. Will be installing a 3rd party open source package on these controllers in the future if I ever want to use them. Remote is also not great, but that’s not (probably) not a software issue so I won’t hold it against whoever coded this app

They work, however.... The lights and the remote work together. However, the app is troublesome and it does not let me log anymore, claiming network failure, but it worked fine before you updated it. Also, why is my music selection so limited? Why can’t I open Apple Music through the app and play any song I have? And why did it only come with one remote, when you advertised two??

I HATE THIS.. my lights start blinking randomly and it’s really annoying. I try connecting my phone and it doesn’t let me. it says there was an error EVERYTIME. i have tried everything, looking thru FAQ, following their instructions etc. even the remote doesn’t work, i’ve changed the battery and nothing works, at this point the lights have a mind of their own. i regret buying these to be honest. don’t waste your time. 👎

I like BUT!. I like the app easy to use but lately it is unresponsive shows offline on app but I can access thru Alexa? Maybe it has a bug as I don’t have issues with any other app

So bad. this app is making me log in to change the color of my lights?? it makes me type in the password every time. it is so time consuming and just really inconvenient half the time I have to press the login button for it to load for 30 seconds just to tell me I need to login again and again this app is a piece of junk.

Remote problems. I like the lights a lot. But the remote it came with stopped working and I’ve had it for only a couple days. I’ve changed the battery and it just won’t do anything.

Good lights rarely don’t connect. Mine are actually great idk what was going on before but yea mine are fine not a bot swear but I think maybe they fixed them or maybe not I just got lucky 😶

Bugs fix please. iPad landscape mode breaks the app- you cannot press any button. Please fix this and remove that huge living room photo (really useless) Also could you please add these features? -Alarm clock : turn on/off light with music at set time and date -slowly increase brightness /decrease brightness when alarm time is set -pulsating rainbow mode : please allow user to adjust brightness for the pulsating mode, currently is only max brightness, cannot adjust brightness -Allow custom rainbow mode: users can select 5-10 colors they like, and only cycle through those colors in custom rainbow mode These features would make the app so much more useful. Network issues. At first the app worked great. After 3 days trying to log in and it just keeps telling me “network issues” I’ve deleted and re-downloaded the app. My internet and mobile data are working just fine. I’ve also unplugged and plugged back in the lights.

Trash app. The lights work great, the app is TRASH. It connect to both my Phones for a week now I can no longer control the lights from either phone. I decided to log out from both phones and just log back in on one and my phone isn’t even connecting anymore. It’ll attempt to load into the lights but the app would just crash completely. Again love the lights but god this app is ✨GARBAGE✨

slight inconvenience. its good lighting and stuff but the only bad thing is how there are times when the app says the lights are connected to my phone, bluetooh, and wifi but is unresponsive to when i try to turn the lights on with my phone but only respond to the actual remote that comes with and this is the sixth time this happened this is inconvenient when i want to use one of the colors on my phone but then i can only use the remote colors when this happens while i have to wait for the led strips to magically start listenting to my phone again and once more the app says that it is connected and so does my bluetooth and my wifi is stable yet does not respond.

Doesn’t work. The lights and remote both work but no matter how hard you try the app will not connect to the controller. Tried using two different controllers neither got connected to Wi-Fi. Pretty sure the app has the connection process backwards. Iirc most other apps have you connect to the controller first and then a network connection. I haven’t tried Bluetooth because my controllers aren’t capable of it so maybe that works but still wouldn’t work with Alexa.

The lights. This product was okay BUT the remote didn’t work for the lights! Also the app ask if the light was rapidly flickering but I didn’t see any rapid flicker! But the product did come out cute, just the app and the remote need work and maybe don’t add a wire!

Does not work. These LED lights do not work well. When I try to connect to the app they do not “blink rapidly” and it always fails to connect. Also, when I bought them it said they were a “wireless led strip” (which they are not). One big complaint though, the second strip we connected to extend the cord (it came in the same package/it’s still this brand) does not work. When I use the green colors with the remote, the extending strip doesn’t turn on but when I go further down into the greens it turns blue while the first one has the true color. With the red colors, when I try to use an orange color or a yellow, the second strip is red and messes up the coloring I’m trying to get in the room. The blue colors on the remote are the only ones that work, except the “pink” button turns out to be a purple. The white button on the remote also does not work, the second strip turns purple for some reason. Do not invest in this product

Poorly developed app. It took like a whole hour to connect my led lights to the app, it didn’t work on my iPhone so I got on my chromebook and downloaded the app through the play store, after that I was finally able to get it to connect, also the phone mic is kinda delayed and the device won’t pick up any sound unless it’s like a clap, i have to have the volume blasting in order to get it to detect it. Sometimes the app won’t turn on/off the led lights, and for some reason it won’t work with Apple Music, but it works ig

Was good. Was overall good. The lights smelled bad at first, but everything works well and so do the timers. The lights respond to what color you want very quickly.

Great product. The people who are complaining either needs to return bc they got a faulty one or they just don’t know how to use them probably put the prongs in upside down and they are wireless… the are Bluetooth or remote come on man really

App doesn’t work. I put these lights up and downloaded the app, when I try to create an account it tells me network error every time. While they work without the app it’s kind of useless since the whole reason why I got them is because I want to control them from my phone.

Wifi not connecting. I brought the LED lights and set them up. The remote worked amazing, but with the app every time I used their wifi like they told me to, it said to connect to their wifi but I already did. Don’t get this it’s a waste of time.

THE worst app I’ve ever had to deal with. Seriously? This is not even a BETA quality!! Can’t paste password from password manager? Can’t type in wifi network name when it’s asking you to do so to pair that crappy bulb?! Can’t be bothered wasting time with it, the bulb landed in the bin! Buyer beware! Don’t wast your money on this rubbish! Oh yes, forgot to mention one of the bulbs died within 2 weeks of using!

Does not connect to the lights. Pops up with a notification saying the wifi won’t connect. I have tried multiple times and it won’t work, shows this is not a problem on my end. This app is useless.

Needs more configuration settings. More options with fade time and random flashes and with all the other presets in which colours and brightness can be chosen for those sequences

Good app, just missing one thing for 5 stars. Adding a “fade in/out” function to the timed turn on of light bulbs would add so much functionality. E.g. I can set my bulbs to turn on at 11am, at the lowest brightness, then become increasingly brighter until max brightness 30 minutes later.

Takes too long to Cowan load and DOSENT let me connect on my other phone. I recently purchased a set of LED lights that came highly recommended for their ease of use and quick connectivity. However, my experience was incredibly disappointing. The initial download process took an excessive amount of time, which was frustrating right from the start. After finally getting the app installed, I ran into significant issues trying to connect the lights to my other phone. I followed all the instructions carefully and made sure my Bluetooth was active, yet every attempt to establish a connection was met with failure. I even tried troubleshooting multiple times, including resetting the lights and reinstalling the app, but nothing seemed to work. It felt like I was wasting my time with a product that simply didn’t deliver on its promises. Given the frustrating experience I had, I would strongly advise others against purchasing these LED lights. The hassle of dealing with a product that doesn’t function as advertised is simply not worth it. There are plenty of other options available that likely offer a more reliable and enjoyable user experience. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for your LED lighting needs.

Ok. I have tried to connect my LED lights wifi and have found the internet for it and it has declined, I have tried this multiple times and it’s keeps on failing. Now I have tried once more and can’t find the wifi this app is useless :(

Scammed. I bought these lights and they worked fine but yellow red a green would not work and know it won’t even connect to the led lights

Very nice app. Very nice app, Easy to use but a bit of a hard time setting it up but i think its me being a bum. Has a hard configuration tho. 99 / 100 Not bad.

Wouldn’t recommend. The lights themselves work fine, but it’s the app that is the biggest problem. Figuring out how to connect alone takes an hour, and from then on it’s glitchy. The settings are not impressive and do not allow for much customization. The functions are so confusing and the settings aren’t all that clear. Timer function is finicky. Really isn’t worth it. Literally the lights turned on at 10am randomly today. There is no setting for anything to turn on at 10am. Or even to turn off. There is nothing wrong with my network’s time or my phone’s time. This is the dumbest and most unreliable app.

Amazing so far. These LED lights have been easy to set up and work amazing but there are a couple connection delays and the only thing I recommend is to have them go a little brighter but otherwise great would recommend

Poor customers - workaround. For who didn’t figure out how to make the app work out, here’s what I did: Before you start, on settings, turn off the auto-join option for your 5G wifi. It will prevent your phone from connecting to this network while configuring your device. 1 use a 2.4GHz wifi connection before start 2 make sure the led strip is blinking rapidly 3 select the wifi you are connected with and input the password 4 when asked to connect the device's hotspot go back to settings and select “AP-TechLife...” 5 the leds should be green and then white. Meanwhile go back to settings and pick the 2.4GHz wifi again. It should suffice to complete the process successfully. Hope that helps!

Great app!. It connected right away, and there’s so many different settings and lights. I am having trouble syncing the music to the lights, but other than that 100% recommend the app, I like it better than the actual remote.

Amazing app. When i saw the bad reviews i was expecting a bad app but it blew my expectations away, the app is so easy to navigate through, very easy to understand what to do and what does what. and also amazing customization with my LED lights. thank you.

Can’t connect to wifi to use app for LED. It’s great and operates but the wifi function will not work with my app on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. Other than that it works well

Terrible. The manual is not good at all and no one can get the app to work. They’re also terrible for trying to hang them up. Just send them back while you still can.

Not able to reconnect. After changing the name of my Wi-Fi, I needed to change where these were connected connected to and I’m not able to my daughter loves these lights and it’s very sad that they won’t connect anymore

Idk. So I got the strips but idk if the app and the strips go together bc I can’t get it to work. The lights work perfectly with the remote so I’m happy about that!

Alright app, Bad lights. The app wasn’t connecting to my lights for like a week straight. after that more than half of the lights stopped working but the app started working.

Not equal. Maybe it’s mine but mine doesn’t play the music nor connect which is disappointing an as I keep messing with it to try an figure it out nothing works anymore

Will not update with new WiFi. Worked great until I changed my WiFi network, and now will not reconnect...would appreciate some customer service here...

Connection. They won’t connect with my WiFi, no matter what I do even with changing my WiFi settings like is says to do. (LED light stripes)

Not helpful at all. This app makes it so incredibly hard to use and or link up the lights with your WiFi, they even give you a Bluetooth option that does nothing. Going to try and returning this.

Eh. Lights work as expected with remote. Only giving 2 stars as I can not get the app to work. It just keeps telling me to connect then it fails over and over.

Didn’t connect at all.. I ordered 2 sets of these lights, and neither will connect to my phone. Every time I try, it tells me it failed no matter how close I am to my router. Truly disappointed.

Constantly disconnects from google home. My google home constantly says TechLife device is unavailable even though I can control it in the app. This is horrible and annoying. Fix it

not working. The application was working fine until the most recent update. It’s now begun saying that it can’t connect to the network. I’ve tried multiple different connections and tried cellular data but nothing’s working.

Horrible. After two weeks the app wouldn’t work every time I turned one the LEDS the app would shut off.

Can’t connect at all. Tried everything and for some reason I can’t connect at all. No Bluetooth devices showing. Wifi and wifi hot spot won’t connect.

Not good at all. Don’t waste your money/time buying these lights... no matter what you do the app will never connect to the lights, definitely recommend looking for a different brand!

This is hard!. This is very hard to work I did not see the network connection and I bought this to use not to not use it is very difficult.

DOESN’T LINK OR UNLINK. This is crap. Don’t waste your time because eventually the firmware doesn’t allow you to link it to Google Assistant. You will have to use their personal app in order to control the lights

Junk. Will not work right or hook to internet and app does nothing to help. Light where junk I got and half to get my money back on them . So don’t waste money or time

Doesn’t work. After not even one week I can’t change the colors it only goes to red and green

Works well!. Super easy to connect and use, and very cute LED’s!

Worked at first. Bought the kexu or whatever led lights. They connected just fine but then I used the remote and I have t a clue how to reconnect the lights back to the app. It says it’s still connected but it’s not.

Bad. The LEDs work fine with the remote, but it is awful that app will not connect. The hotspot I’m forced to use has little to no bandwidth. I’m really upset that I bought the LEDs for this soul purpose. I hope you guys have an update in the future.

Music. It’s only let’s me play two songs out of my whole play list I wouldn’t recommend that part wt everything else is good

Out of order. After some weeks, five of six lamps turn off without any command; they register disappeared from the app and I couldn't reconnect anyone. There are no possibility to ask to help and five lamps are useless. The only one working lamp just work with physical command because the app doesn't recognize the lamp!

𝚂𝙾𝙾 𝙶𝙾𝙾𝙳!. I was so happy that this app worked for my Bluetooth led lights! This app is the GREATEST app I could use! I love the app!!!!

Network error. Before this update the app was working fine, but now I can’t even access the app due to “network error”. Hopefully this is solved as soon as possible.

Server is constantly down. This product constantly disconnects itself from Alexa

Doesn’t work. The bulbs keep disconnecting, when you have several in a lamp is a nightmare. You have to delete all of them every time one disconnects. There is no way to delete rooms created by accident in the account

Horrible. My power went out & my router needed to be reset which meant renaming the network. After this happened my light strip wouldn’t connect to the app, the remote or my Alexa anymore. I’ve had these lights for 2 months now & it’s been nothing but problems. DO NOT BUY.

Damaged!. Lights did not work at all! They turn on on half the set and it only stays on red, it will not change color or play with the music! So mad that I spend so much money on this product!

Don’t but their led lights. The led strips never paired. Tried hundreds of times to put them in “pair” mode and they never would, just as others have said. App never connected and didn’t work at all.

Fussy and best. App will work or not work at any time. Bulbs fall out of sync with this app for any reason. App unable to separate bulbs once in a group. Do not recommend and buy different bulbs to avoid this app.

I can’t connect the light. I bought 4 wifi bulb lamps and I only was able to add 2. The other 2 keeps blinking but when I try to set them up, if keeps failing.

terrible. i got my led lights set up and connected fine, but when i clear out the app, like how you clear out all of your apps running in the background, something happened and now when i go back into the app and try to log in it says "network error" and if i try to make a new account it says the same thing, either get a different brand of led lights or just use the remote, the app is useless

Worst app. Worst app does not work. There is multiple errors. The Bluetooth does not work, this app needs your location, WiFi password and private info including email.
