Obtrusive Ads. Very obtrusive full page ads that pop-up without warning. This is a problem as you are looking at the TV and just start clicking away on ads before you realize the remote is no longer working.

Garbage. Don't bother.. My remote broke. I downloaded this, and it kind of works. It's glitchy and disconnects, but it's better than a bricked TV until replacement hardware (remote) can arrive. So I paid for the app, yet it keeps showing ads and nagging me to purchase it. I restart the app on the phone and refresh purchases, and it doesn't connect to the device. It's just junk. Apple needs to improve its standards. I'm sure I'll never get my money back. So let me experience be your lesson - DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME ON THIS GARBAGE.

Used to be good.. The app was fine with ads, but they removed all the features from the free version and try to get you to sign up for a monthly subscription to use the whole thing. This app is no longer worth it as a free app. There are other Sony remotes in the App Store that allow you to play a flat fee that is cheaper than the monthly subscription of this one.

Garbage. This app is garbage and the creator offers no support. Downloaded and connected to my Sony smart tv and as soon as I walked out of the room and came back and tried to use it, the app didn’t recognize my tv. You have to turn on the tv with the actual remote for it to reestablish connection to use the app again. What’s the point?

Subscription not working. I purchased the annual subscription. It worked Siri g first 7 days. Now the premium features not working. When I click on the subscribe again, it says I already have a subscription. Hope this is not a scam. I’ll be contact Apple if I don’t hear from the developer in a day or 2.

Better than the one that came with the TV. Works just great right away from the start. Wish for macro buttons to set auto off timer to a specified length without having to push 15 things to set the TV to turn off in an hour. Way too much work.

Midgrade reliability, steals data from your phone. Stayed on as a user because this app connects well with a bravia tv. Very frustrated to see the contents of my clipboard stolen every time I open the app. Stop this with a fix now.

Super slow. Takes awhile to register using any of the buttons like my phone shows i clicked the volume up button an it takes awhile to actually turn the volume up on my tv idk if it gets faster or not on the paid version i only used free version

It’s pretty good.. Not the best, smoothest, fastest app remote. Keep in mind, though…it does what it says it’s gonna do and it’s free, despite the annoying ads. Worth the download.

Horrible App. Don’t waste your money. I even reached out for help and got nothing. The app glitches frequently and has to connect every single time in order to work. The connection time varies so you could be waiting for awhile and then it won’t even work the majority of the time. Complete waist of money and time.

Used to work. It can’t connect. Asks me for 4 digits on tv, they don’t show up on the tv until I put the wrong ones in, then it says wrong ones, the numbers come up on the tv screen and GO AWAY when I try again. Gave up

Unusable without their subscription. Apparently the money they got from the ads wasn’t enough. Now most of the functions are disabled unless you pay their ransom of $20/year. This application won’t dramatically change in one year’s time, so why the subscription? Greed. Subscriptions make sense for applications that change over time. This one will not. Deleted.

Doesn’t work - developers did not follow up. Since paying for this app, it basically hasn’t worked. It never locates my device despite connecting perfectly before i paid for the app. I’ve tried reinstalling to no avail. I contacted the developers with feedback and never received a response.

I’m not paying a monthly fee…. I spent over $3000 on a TV that I’ll have for likely 5 years. I’m not paying you a monthly fee for a remote control app. Figure out how to make that work. I don’t care if you charge money for the $150 Black Friday special. Either way, don’t keep asking every time I open the app. My decision isn’t changing. This is honestly almost enough to consider changing brands. Thankfully for you, I only use this feature when some other means of control is broken. Though that makes it all the more frustrating in its own right.

Volume issues. The app worked and then after the update every time i try to adjust the volume a few notches up or down it goes all the way down or all the way up (which is startling in the middle of the night to say the least). Super annoying, hope they fix the issue soon!

Is this a joke?. Downloaded and opened the app and all I see is a black background with the words, “Discovered Devices,” at the top and, “Send feedback” button, only it doesn’t work because I don’t use apple email. That’s it. It doesn’t do anything else. What a waist of time. If I could give it zero stars I would.

APP works great! Need to manually turn on the TV first though.. Pay the few bucks for the app. In a perfect world the app would only be available for purchase. I really don’t like when the cheaper apps like this one have a free version. It makes it seem like a worse app than it is. It really works well. I only wish iPhone had the IR sensor so they could power on my device as well. Perhaps have an option to buy one for a cheap price with the purchase of the app. Anyway I’m happy with it.

Perfect remote!. Works great! My actual remote broke on me and this app works so much better! Not to mention I can just scroll through the apps of the tv! Absolutely love this app!

Won’t allow me to use on my tv. My tv is a Sony tv and this is for Sony tv, and it shows that their are no TVs in the area that are Sony, it is really confusing me since there are so many good reviews, but doesn’t work for me???Maybe I’m doing something wrong but I don’t know, all I know for now is it’s not working

This app is a lifesaver!. The remote sensor went out on nearly brand new TV. I couldn’t even turn my tv on and off. I tried other remote control apps but they were clunky and didn’t work well. This one is seamless, fast, and gives me access to everything a traditional remote would.

Works Very Well with my Sony Bravia. The app works well with my sony bravia tv. There are some ads showing now then but it’s totally tolerable or you can remove them by purchasing the app. Thanks to the developer for this useful app.

Paid for premium and still getting ads galore. Paid for premium on this app and adds shut off for several days and ate now back after I purchased the whole year this is terrible

Used to like. Abysmal privacy.. I used this app all the time and was considering the premium version. With iOS 14, I see now that it auto-pastes the clipboard upon opening. This is disgusting and a common predatory tactic, it can steal passwords, SSN, image with location data -- whatever else you had hit copy on last. I recommend everyone uninstall this app, and to the developer -- Shame on you.

Used to be great hopefully an update soon. This app used to work flawlessly on my 55x930e since the update there is no less than a 10 second delay between the phone and the tv

It could be good. 1. When the tv is off the app can not turn it on. 2. The coders were lazy and did not label the buttons in the app so those with vision problems can not use the app. 3. Many of the tv features do not seem accessible with the app

Too Many Ads - Do not “immediately dismiss”. This is a fair app in terms of capabilities, but not worth 5 bucks in my opinion. The frequency of the pop-up ads make it unusable in its unpaid form. The remotes that came with my Bravias work just fine so the “cool factor” of controlling your TV with a phone is short lived. 30 minutes in my case.

Wow!. This app does everything the remote can do. Don’t think I’ll ever go back to using the actual tv remote. It’s worth the upgrade for no ads too! Sony for the win!

OK remote for Sony. Has failed to find TV several times and keeps searching. No time out so you can’t try to reset. Had to delete app and reload a couple of times. Won’t turn on directTV box or TV when initially turning on set.

Too many ads. Let’s first say that it’s awesome this app exists. My dog chewed up my tv remote and while I wait for a new one to arrive I can use this app which is awesome, however, I can’t press a single button without an ad playing. These ads mean that fast forward happens and doesn’t stop until I can repress a button once the ads are done or food is cooking and I can’t pause the show for at least 30 seconds because an ad has to play. It’s great that this app exists for a short term fix but I also can’t wait to not have to use it.

Great app. Works well! But it does not turn on the tv when the tv is off. Also landscape orientation on iPad would be nice.

Doesn’t connect that well. When I try turning my tv on with it, it works, but somtimes doesn’t, plus the adds are inappropriate so I wouldn’t say this is the best app, choose another.

Doesn’t always work. A great tool when it connects to the tv. I have a toddler who does not allow me to keep the remotes handy. So I use this app as needed. I would say half the time the app isn’t connecting to the tv even though the tv would be on. When it does connect it works great but getting it to work everytime doesn’t happen.

Paid, it works, has one annoying flaw. Let me start by saying that all of the complaints about the ads on the free version should be immediately dismissed. Someone spent their time and resources developing this app and you should be thankful they even have a free version. Instead of being an entitled brat that expects a free handout, how about you pony up FIVE DOLLARS and support the developer? This will accomplish a few things: 1. It will incentivize the developer to improve the app 2. You won’t see ads 3. You’re supporting a small business 4. Maybe, just maybe, you’ll start approaching life with an “earn it” mentality and actually make something of yourself Anywho, all sermons aside, the app works well. I experience some lag every once in a while. This isn’t a huge deal since I mainly use the app when I’m holding my child and can’t grab the actual remote. For $5, this is a value-add that I really appreciate.

Not asking for extra apps. Upon first opening the app, I chose my detected device and the app immediately took me to the App Store to get another app by the same developer—this one for a Roku device (which it detected that I have). I already have a Roku remote app, and I don’t need another one. There was no way to use the app without downloading their Roku app, so I uninstalled. No thanks.

Best for Sony Bravia. We own 4 of various model Sony Bravia TV’s. Of all the available Sony remote apps I tested, this has the best feature set. I wish it had the Action Menu defines as a button. And wish you could more easily toggle between which TV you are connecting to. Lastly wishing for haptic feedback. Despite these missing items I decided to go ahead and purchase the ad free version.

Better than the Sony Remote. This app is better than the remote that comes with the TV itself. TV manufacturers shouldn't even make remotes anymore.

Worthless app. DO NOT download this! I bought the premium version, and it is still terrible! The lag time from when you push the button to when the tv responds is 10-12 seconds. Also, it will frequently disconnect from the tv (every 30 seconds or so)

The Perfect App. Sony TV with AppleTV and want to control it from your phone in one place? This is the app without 1,000 different gimmicks. It does everything I want but one thing which is not remotely a showstopper, the 15s forward/back buttons. Other than that I find this a one stop app to do everything I want with my Sony TV with AppleTV. To get on my soapbox for a moment, I agree with another review I read. This person built this app with their own blood, sweat, and tears. Nothing in life is free so either deal with the ads or buy the app. Stop whining that they should spend their time to make something free for you to use.

Paid 5 bucks for inconvenience. The app would not recognize the tv if the tv is off. Thus, I can’t use the app to turn on the tv. I have to use the Sony remote to turn on the tv in-order to use the app. What is the point of this app if I have to use the factory remote. I sent feed back to the developer and get nothing back. I love to support developers for good apps, but I got fool this time.

Terrible!. This app works beautifully the first day or so I had it. Then, when I paid $5 to remove ads the app ceased to function at all. Now, whenever I open it I only get a screen with a “send feedback” button. Tried deleting and reinstalling multiple times as well as rebooting my phone. Nothing helps. Being as it was the only thing I can do in the app, I utilized the Send Feedback button to email the creator and ask what the deal was. Got no response. This is shameful and I’d like my $5 back

Nice app, works as described. It does want $5 to stop the ads; fair enough, don’t expect anyone to work for free. I realized that I cannot control the volume of my non-network connected external speakers. And I may not be ready for touch remote sans any tactile feedback.

Works great.. Simple. Effective. Use it daily. Not worth $7.99AUD. I don’t click it enough to get an ad, maybe here and there but no hard to wait. If it was $2-$3 AUD, I’d pay just to support you for the good work. Didn’t give 5 starts due to the price and I feel 5 stars is for something amazing. Don’t get me wrong, it works, just doesn’t blow my socks off and do anything different to the remote. Actually, you could add screen mirroring and that would be amazing. If your screen mirroring worked without a problem with iPhones, I would then pay $7.99 as there aren’t any good screen mirroring apps for iPhones.

Yeah nah I’m not paying you $28. This app was fine and I was willing to put up with occasional ads because I don’t use it that much. Now I go to open it for the first time in a month and pause is a suddenly a “premium” feature you want me to pay $28 to use - not even forever but for a year. There are heaps of apps that do exactly what this one does so uninstalled. I’m glad I already knew that this app was a bit buggy and not worth the ridiculous money they’re asking for.

Too long to connect. This app used to work okay but now it takes a long time to reconnect to the tv, it sometimes doesn’t reconnect at all. I’ve tried contacting support with no replies, had to resort to purchasing another remote app that seems to work all the time.

Misleading. It seems the remote only works after smart tv is already on. I.e you can’t turn TV ON with remote but when already on other functions work.

Ads and copy cat apps in AppStore. They abuse UI glitches to force full screen ads that you can’t close, even after the counter reach 0 They abuse Apple Store by having their apps under different names This show a low ethics and I wouldn’t trust the apps and the developer.

Need more improvements. Ads are kinda mood killer. The keyboard don’t type on the screen at all. The touch scroll is nice but needs improvement for further scrolls. Needs more options for buttons like Netflix and youtube quick pick. And biggest thing would be adding voice command for like sony’s original remote.

Won’t recognize TV. The app connected once with a pin. Then, after going about daily business, I attempted to use the app, but it cannot find the TV anymore. I’ve reset the modem and router, disconnected and reconnected my phone, and still nothing.

🤡. Every 15 buttons I press an ad 10 second ad pops up and when I close it opens safari for the ad. Most of the good features on the app cost a lot of money and whenever I switch back to the app it disconnects

No pin ever displays. No pin ever shows up on the tv screen of my 85” Sony Bravia 900H even though it shows that the tv is in the list of devices that the app picked up to connect to.

Tv remote. So far I’m liking this app!

Sony remote “wow”. Worth the price, it is way better than the factory remote. Allows one to do the functions quickly. Cost of course is for the ad free version. Which is why I paid for this version. Most apps are not worth paying for.

Don’t update. Worked ok before this recent update. Now every time you hit a button there’s a five second delay until the action is completed.

passcode. It will tell you to enter a password and then say wrong passcode. There is no pw. Also you can’t turn the tv on w this remote , it won’t show my tv most of the times even if the tv is on . So it’s an app that works when it wants to .

Ad spam, doesn't work. After installed the app the full screen ads begin, block the remote, rendering the app useless until you close and exit. Ads repeat immediately further blocking app. Completely useless. Then app didn't synch with TV. Deleted.

Ridiculous. Literally I downloaded this app and opened it and all it says is send feedback and nothing else. There’s no buttons to press and no where to navigate only a blank page that says send feedback. Stupid and a waste of my time. It probably hacked my phone.

Works great...except.... when not repeatedly trying to find and press ’X’ to close the numerous and un-asked for advertisements

Bad crashy app. Doesn't work half the time, there’s much better apps for remotes out there.

Problems. I open this app every times and it showing the same page that feedback feedback. Plz fixed it

Stopped working. Iv been using this app for a few weeks now and it stopped working out of no where... the button for send feed back pops up and you can’t do anything on the app it’s stuck there... for five bucks I’m a little annoyed

Feedback screen. When I try to use the remote from my phone, it tries to connect and then goes to feedback screen. How frustrating! I want my money back. It doesn’t work!

There are way too many ads in it you have to click to get through things to actually use the remote. Uh9uh807
