Would be nice if it wasn’t so laggy. Also would be nice if my band mates could minimize the app to look at their music sheets and come back to this app and not be disconnected.

Works great with L-20r. I have this L-20 Control app running on 5 IPads with my Livetrack L-20r. One iPad for front of house and the other 4 for personal monitor mixes. App has worked great with no issues and very easy to use . Very satisfied with this set up so far.

Would be great if you could control gain, compression, and monitor eq straight from the app. Tittle says it all add those updates and I’ll upgrade my review

It’s ok but could easily be way better. There is absolutely no reason why this shouldn’t be compatible with an iPhone. Every competitor is and you already have the infrastructure from an iPad app. The biggest issue with this is the need for an ipad. Of the 5 members of my band, we only have one iPad which means we take turns dialing it in instead of everyone at once. If the iPad breaks or dies, we are screwed. Would probably be 4 stars with an iPhone/Android app.

App crashing under iOS 16/16.1. Things have been great * * * * * this past year but now, after iOS 16 upgrade on my iPad Pro, this app crashes multiple times mid-session. It’s making my L-20R unusable. Please fix this Zoom so I can get back to work!

Need iPhone app and more. This needs an iPhone app for a host of reasons. If battery runs out on ipad then at least I’d have a back up with my phone or someone else’s phone. Since I’m only running a few channels most of the time I really don’t need a big screen to manage everything. In addition to having the virtual knobs to change the EQ it would be really nice to be able to add frequency points on the EQ curve to pinpoint the exact frequency I want to change. The ability to select which effects I want for each effect channel would be great. There are two effects I like but they are both in the same effect slot so I can’t use them both at the same time. I love being able to label all the tracks however it would be nice to be able to clear all labels at once rather than one at a time to reset them. Faders are really touchy. When I grab a fader to move up or down in volume the fader jumps to my finger right away sometimes causing the volume to get loud before I can change it. Would be great if the fader didn’t move upon touching it and only move when I actually slide my finger. There is a lot of good stuff here but I don’t think there has been an update to this app in a over a year. Doesn’t make me feel confident that anything is going to get any better which is a shame. I love the portability of this unit and the recordings sound really good and have been a great benefit.

Great start! We need compression, gate & limiters. Lao another thing would make this worth buying Bluetooth receiver is the ability to export, audio files, MP3 airwaves, and send Stem files of all the tracks. That could put this device on top of the competition.

iPhone app please!!!. I’ve used it a few times and works great. However, why only iPad!? Everyone has a phone with them but not everyone has an iPad. Would be super helpful to have everyone in the band run their own monitor mix without having to have a big screen in front of them. Also, the ability to name projects off the app would save SO much time rather than having to use the scroll nob!!!

App now working on new iPad/iPadOS 13. I harassed Zoom customer service a lot, did deep research and bought a Mini3 (which can’t update to iPadOS 13) in order to get my new L-20R working. 11/8/2019 Zoom support advised me the updated App is ready. I updated the new iPad I bought before the Mini3, the App now runs and it connected right up to the L-20R. I haven’t had time to learn how to use the L-20R, but the feature set and form factor have sounded perfect for my needs since they first announced the product. It’s a small, lightweight, versatile unit that can provide six custom mixes for monitoring. This is an updated review from my earlier version a few days ago (when I couldn’t get the L-20R to work at all). If I have something more to say when I get to know the unit, I’ll update again.

I’m happy with it. In July 2022 I’m having no trouble controlling my L20 with this app. Obviously, it is wonderful to be able to check the mix from the audience position. It’s been a while since the app has been updated, so I’m hoping that, in addition to an iPhone version, there are some other features on the way. I would especially like some kind of RTA functionality with an EQ with many more bands than are currently available, so that I can “ring out” mics/monitors before a show, or better yet build in some tweakable feedback removal. This is a hardware/software system with absolutely massive potential. I have recommended and demonstrated it to many friends and I hope that Zoom continue to develop it for many years!

We love the hardware but this app is crashing all the time.. We are very frustrated and shut down now. The iOS 14.2 update has rendered it undependable. It crashes all the time. This needs to be addressed. We have 3 iPads with this problem so it’s the app. If not for this I’d give it 5 stars. It is 12/13/2020.

No ability to control compression in the app.. The L20R has only one knob for compression for each channel. The L20R being a digital mixer, it’s reasonable to assume you’d be able to control compression more precisely in the app, the fact you can’t has me searching for other products and praying for an app update.

Excellent app with minor bugs. Beautiful looking and great to control the L20. 4 stars since the fader mode cannot be controlled from the app due to a bug but everything else seems to work correctly.

Pretty Neat. I can take my iPad over to the mic stand and adjust vocals. Noticed that it sometimes gets out of sync with the scene status but no big deal. I just reload the scene on the ipad. Big wish is to be able to label the channel strips. I can’t always remember what goes with what on the app. On the actual mixer, all the channels have labels on them.

No longer works. I used it for two years but it asked to update the software, which is no longer compatible with my iPad. Why not allow loyal customers to use the L-20 WITHOUT having to buy a new iPad? Just allow us to download the old software. This is Not Fun.
