I'm a beginner to studying the Bible. This app and study Bible is so helpful to a beginner like me! No matter your level of understanding--I highly recommend it!

Feature Rich - Intuitive to Use. I’ve tried a number of Bible apps. This one is my favorite so far. Even if I’m limited to one translation, I chose it because of the translation and stayed because of the features. From the easy-to-grab tabs for highlighting (being able to choose only part of a verse is excellent) to a very robust cross-reference system, it helps grow my faith and knowledge of scripture and, most importantly, Jesus.

It’s ok but flawed. Audio bible doesn’t work. No matter what I do, I get “Download Failed - Unable to download audio for this chapter at this time. Please try again later, or try different audio settings.” I also find it very difficult to navigate though all the menus and sub menus.

Great for sleep when the audio is on!. I just downloaded it yesterday and it's great for sleep when the audio is on! I also use it for studying. I might get the hardcover bible they sell online. I love CSB!!!

Really enjoy this app!. I have recently started using this version. I love the optimum translation. Very easy to read and understand. Really like red letter edition. And daily scriptures is real plus!

Lags. Sometimes when I am reading it doesn’t scroll all the way down, leaving the last verse hidden.

My favorite. It offers many options. Translations, text size, scrolling or page curl. For me the page curl is comforting and helps me "feel-the-love" since I used traditional bibles most of my life.

nice app but compressed audio. This is pleasant to use. The interface is nice and it's free! one downside is that the audio is highly copressed and sounds like it. I wish the company would use less compressed audio so that its nicer to listen to.

Very very impressive. I love this Bible. I love how if I don’t understand what a word means, all I have to do is touch if for the app to define the word I don’t understand. CSB is a Great Translation and App Audio is Super Handy. There are a lot of really good English Bible translations but Christian Standard Bible (CSB) stands out among the rest in overall versatility. It is both accurate as well as easy to read. CBS hits the right spot. This app also aids in my study of the scriptures with free audio download within the app. I highly recommend it.

A good read. My wife and I have used your translation for the last two years. We also love the study notes

CSB translation. I like the clarity and continuity of this translation. However, comparing it to the KJV there is a noticeable effort to be politically correct as in diversity. The CSB translation reduces the masculine references to neutrality. This reflects the changes in our national views and is false testimony to God’s Word on the place of men on leadership positions. I am sorry that this change is occurring. Roger

Purchased 7 years ago. I purchased this Bible about 7 years ago when it was called the HCSB Bible app. It is no longer supported. Therefore when I went to update it, it not only no longer existed but lost the Bible that I had paid for. All my notes and studies are gone as well. Those who purchased your Bible app before should be grandfathered into this new Bible app. I not only lost my purchase but I lost much more. I do not have confidence to buy an app sponsored by those who no longer support apps previously paid for.

CSB APP DEVOTIONAL. This is bible app is so dope! However, I cannot access the devotionals that are sent each morning. I click on the push notification and then it pops open the verse of the day.

Fantasticly made app. Better translation. I appreciate the thought and care that was taken with the CSB to get the meaning of scripture translated correctly while also being faithful to the literal text. Thanks for getting the study version released, I used to use the old HCSB study app before it went obsolete and this app is refreshing and a worthy successor.

Best Bible app so far. I have downloaded many free and paid Bible apps searching for the one that just fit my needs and offered features comparable to other top downloaded apps. I have been very surprised to find just about everything I want in a Bible app to be included. The interface is very easy on the eyes, especially with the Avenir font. It is easy to understand the different settings and the way the menu’s work. There are several ways to search and go to a book or verse you want. My favorite is the simple search. Type in the first letters of the book and bingo it shows up at the top of the list. Keep entering the chapter and verse and it immediately goes there. I will admit I have just downloaded the app and spent some time getting comfortable with it, but based on my experience of doing the same thing with at least 20 other Bible apps, I can tell this is quickly going to be my only app. Time will tell!

Surprised. Pleasantly surprised. Love the ability to take notes and ease of adding footnotes. App works really well. I would recommend for anyone.

Nice free way to get and to listen to the CSB. Great app for reading and listening to the CSB. Pros: > Free, for the CSB Bible > REALLY like listening to the CSB. You can listen to the Bible offline if you want to download all the audio files (comes to 1.1G for the whole Bible, around 265MB for the New Testament). > Clear format Cons: > Apps is highly proprietary: Holman material only. > Study Bible note sets can be purchased in-app. They are pricey, on par with their respective hardback printed versions (which I cannot understand) considering the rather narrow range of resources with which it can be used. > Why full justified text? Creates wide spaces for larger font sizes This will never be my “main” Bible study app for the simple reason that it can only be used with a narrow range of Holman resources. This app is a convenient way to have the CSB open along with my “main” Bible study app, for which I can purchase resources from all the leading Bible publishers.

Amazing app!. This is definitely one of the best ways to read and share the gospel, easy to read and very clear. 10/10

Great App. The CSB App, in my opinion, is the best bible app...it is user friendly while providing accessible and great resources like cross references, language tools, and other bible study resources. The app is also aesthetically pleasing! Get the app!

Refreshing change from the other app. The other leading Bible app is great, but has turned down the road of being a social network, and it’s too noisy. This app returns to what the Bible is, a Bible. I can keep my social interactions in my social networks, and connect with God in this app. Also, loving the CSB translation as a whole, my go to for my reading!

Access to the audio. This app is my favorite for church, for home and everywhere I especially love the audio! Pam Horner

Love it!. So easy to use and to find what I am looking for…just wish it was easier to get to where I can take notes and once I get there, I need lines.

Audio bible reading. Very effective as I listen and read John I absorb more and feel as if John is speaking to me. I find myself tirelessly more chapters and don’t mind rereading to get more from Gods Word. Alleleuia!

Unable to download Audio. I would give the app 5 stars but I’m unable download the audio (books of the Bible) for offline listening. I’ve scoured CSB’s website to make sure I’m not missing something …. The download starts and then cancels the request. HELP!

Missing. I like the app, but lately I have noticed some words are missing from the verses. When you look at the CSB app from the translators it has the words that are missing in this app. When you open up a print edition the words are in the printed edition. Can’t figure out how this can happen. Needs updating.

excellent Bible App, but where are . . .. first the review, then the “but where are . . .” my ‘goto’ English language Bible app when original biblical language study is not required. Good note-taking capability. Excellent bookmark and note organization functionality. Very good search functionality, but could be improved (see E-Sword for iOS and duplicate that search functionality present there, but missing in all Tecarta Bible apps). Excellent selection of Study Bibles. Please pursue obtaining licenses for . . . the Archaeological Study Bible (NIV), the ‘adult’ version of the Apologetics Study Bible (HCSB/CSB), the ESV Study Bible (ESV), the Enhanced Ryrie Study Bible (NASB95/NIV), the Case for Christ Study Bible notes, the Evidence Bible (NKJV), the Scofield Reference Bible III (NIV), the Reformation Study Bible (NKJV/ESV). the Orthodox Study Bible (NKJV), the Gospel Transformation Study Bible notes. now for the “but where are . . . “ after installing logged into my Tecarta Bible account. My notes and bookmarked synced just fine, but none of my prepurchased resources were available (nor were they 24 hours later). However, the next day, other Tecarta Bible apps logged into that same Tecarta Bible account, after syncing, had the CSB and its two new Study Bible resources that I purchased as part of “My Content.” So, it is sort of a ‘one-way street’, so to speak, at the moment. Please fix. Many thanks for developing such a fine Bible study app.

Full of good knowledge. I enjoy all the knowledge in the app. I also enjoy the cross reference in it. When a place is mentioned in the Bible, there is sometimes a photo to the place in the Bible verse and an explanation of the place with the photo. It’s very nice. This translation also is very helpful while studying the KJV because it breaks down a deeper understanding of that translation.

Lovin it!. I have had numerous Bible apps, and this is by far.. my favorite! I love the daily verses, I love that you can look up word definitions and I like the highlighting tools… small details like when searching up a verse, it highlights for you on page right away to draw your eyes to what you’re searching for..very well thought out app!!!

Best I’ve Used. Excellent voice; very pleasing. This version reads well. I gave it five stars but one improvement would make it a ten. When you’re using the reading plans it would be helpful if it automatically went to the next reading as does the program in You Version.

Love it why?. Sound on all the doctrinal passages..concerning the Doctrine of Christ..Faith in Christ..His Grace...the Scripture inspiration.. The doctrine of the resurrection..sitting at the right hand of the father..with All power and Glory..His soon return...reigning on earth...and the pre existence of Christ. Easy to read..understand..solid biblically..a great accurate translation...love it..can I get one for free? Lol

Child of god. I love this app Christian standard Bible a very good translation among a lot of good ones. Very informative understandable the platform of the way this application is set up is very smooth. I love the verse of the day to pray, and to meditate on. I would highly recommend this app, and I give it a thumbs up.

Is shouldn't have to pay twice. I purchased the app for my iPad. I recently got a new iPhone and downloaded the app to the phone. Today, when I opened the app, it tells me my free trial period is over! Do I have to pay twice if I want the app on two devices? No way even though I like the app.

Great but doesn’t seem supported. My wife and I downloaded this app as we searched for a bible app years ago. We love it! I noticed a while back that updates and previously available add-ons seemed to have disappeared which is a shame. I wish they’d reinvest in the best bible app available.

Great translation, better app!. Ever since the app came out a few years ago I’ve been using it. It has only grown on me ever since! The intuitiveness of switching between study bibles and the free audio Bible has been my favorites of the app! Well done Holman!

Mostly improved!. App is well designed and thorough. Navigation is much improved over the HCSB that came fore, and I like the simpler graphics. My only complaint is that the lexicon is gone!! I loved that I could tap on virtually any word and see the Greek or Hebrew word from the most common translations. And how often the word appeared exactly as used. And where. That is a huge loss, especially given that this study Bible costs twice what the old HCSB did. I’d be very grateful if future editions/revisions of this app replaced that functionality. Otherwise great job on an easy to use study Bible!

Great study. I like the Bible reading very much and also being able to look up words and other application scripture. I did not know I was going to have to purchase it after a certain amount of time. That is why I gave it a 4 star. Other than that I would give it a 5.

Almost perfect.. This app is almost perfect. Please note that I use VoiceOver to access this app. This app works marginally well even though the graphics aren’t labeled textually since VoiceOver recognizes the buttons. I like using this app to listen to audio bibles, but not for reading. For some reason, Bible text only displays one word per llline with VoiceOver no matter what font size is used. Legacy mode does not work at all: my guess is that this is a problem with VoiceOver and not the app. Study notes display great, and I like that you can switch between views. Overall, very well done. I like the Csb audio bible being free. :)

Easy to use. I love this app! My church uses this bible version. I take my iPad with me to church and follow along during the sermon. I can make notes and highlight.

I started the audio Bible on May 28 today I finished listening to the total Bible seven times. That’s my dedication to the Lord I figure I can get it one more time before it has been five months. Love it. I really have nothing to say, but download this. And see for yourself. I personally have the CSB study Bible but while im at work I take my iPad with me to read and study more on my breaks in between. And having a study Bible is good.. But to have a free app, that offers the study notes as well for free. Is top notch. Thank you to all who had a part to creating this app. And everything along with that this is amazing

Love the app, but it’s missing one thing.... The app is well put together and the tools are great, especially the highlighting feature. But, this app would be awesome if it offered other translations.

CSB Bible. An absolutely wonderful translation! Love it lots! My bride and I have a pastor who just earned his doctorate in Greek (so happy for him!) As WE just recently discovered, CSB is actually HIS reading preference. To me, that says A LOT for the translation. As for the app. The ONLY critique I have is, it would be so much appreciated if there were a dramatized choice for audio. Great Translation... Limited App, Expensive. The CSB is a great, readable, faithful translation. The app does a good job of making that text available to you. But... the audio features are very limited (you can start after verse 1, but it’s up to you to figure out how, and there is no speed control) and they want to charge you full price for the study Bible notes. This seems fair, but I already have one digital copy of the study notes and two print copies. Shouldn’t there be some consideration for repeat buyers?

CSB —- Review. I love this app. It makes my daily walk with Jesus easy to access through scripture readings. I can take it with me wherever I go and when I have to wait for an appointment, have a free moment during the day, or want to look something up, I have it right in my hand. Don’t we all usually have our cell phone ‘in our hand’ most of the day? Why not be like the Hebrews and have your personal ‘phylactery’ available anywhere or anytime!

Fail. I have been trying to use this App for a couple of weeks. The audio fails to download. My wife had an older version which worked fine but after updating hers fails as well. I wouldn’t buy something that doesn’t work during the trial period.

Study. Study I liked the first version of how I can chain same verse from old and new testiment as that was awesome not so with this one.

Love the app. The app is very easy to use. Has lots of features. I use several bible apps, this one by far has the best user interface and is feature rich. I have one suggestion. Should be able to move to the next chapter more easily, like a next button vs having to select the book again and chapter from the drop down list.

Wrong word. (Leviticus 22:22) says as a food offering. When every other translation, from my Interlinear to my concordance says fire offering.

CSB bible. I think this is amazing, simple, but very too worthy. I love the fact that it defines words, my favorite Bible app by far.

Cutting off ends of verses while speaking. When playing the audio of selected verses, the first or last word is not spoken. It’s cutting off too soon.

Very Deceiving. You do not receive any Bible with this app. You must purchase and Bible that you want to utilize with this app…through the app, with most beginning at $22. Don’t waste your money.

CSB 4 ME!!. The CSB Bible is an excellent translation of the scriptures. I love how the app reminds me to read the Word!

iOS 12 Update. App will not work after updating to iOS 12. Sad, since I really did enjoy it prior to this.
