Love this Bible!. I got this bible for my bday 3 years ago, I haven't put it down! No matter what bible u have don't put it down .

Blessed App!. This app is divinely blessed and a great resource for any person interested in learning more from God’s word. It is useful for beginners as well as experienced Bible students. The insights in the commentary are truly inspired and will help draw the reader closer to God if their hearts and minds are open to receiving the message!

Wheel. Do not like wheel for book, chapter and verse. The old method was much better and a lot faster. Otherwise very good. Is it possible to change back to the previous method of selecting book, chapter and verse?

So easy! Makes me so consistent. I have always loved the feel of a Printed Bible in my hand, but I am totally so on this e-Bible. I have had it for several years and it has made my reading so much easier and richer. I can take it with me wherever I go and read the Word anywhere. The notes are fantastic and the references very helpful.

Can’t share devices. This app has great content you can add and you can study the words of scripture from multiple translations by easily switching between them. The issue is I put the same app on my iPhone and iPad. I bought multiple Bible translations on my phone. None of them are accessible on my iPad unless I purchase the same translation again. They do not sync between devices. I would prefer to be able to use whichever device has battery at the time. All other apps I have sync except this one.

NIV Bible electronic version. This is an excellent application for phone use. It allows the user to access to the Bible any and all times of the day.

poor audio resolution. the book is awesome, but the low resolution of audio bothers me a lot to pay arrentiin to the bible meditation.

Great App! But update process is broken... please fix. I would give it 5 Stars if they would fix their update process. Customers use to see a notification that an update was available. Now you don’t know until you open that particular book. If you have a large library like I do, it makes updating monotonous... Please fix this.

A Great Investment. If your a student of the word it is with out a doubt that you need this tool to be more effective.

Syncing between iPhone and iPad.. I enjoy this study bible very much. The one thing I can’t figure out is how or if I can sync between my iPhone and iPad. I read the Bible in both but forget my place where I stopped reading in one or the other. I found the sync feature but it doesn’t accomplish syncing between the two to show me where I left off reading. I would love to have someone give this information.

Very easy to use and works well across devices. Love this app. Makes daily bible study so easy. I can see multiple translations and study guides at the same time while I'm taking my own notes. Fantastic. Then, later if I want to remember the study I did that morning on my ipad, I can open my iphone and read it there. Great job.

Satisfied. Love the app and what is provides. The capability for specific notes or folders is great. Only improvement item is better instructions for how to share multiple notes at one time. My desire is to "select all" to download all my notes but I can't find instructions to do this, versus selecting each not individually.

NIV Study Bible very helpful. I have used the hardback paper edition this study Bible for years and always found it useful. Especially on controversial passages it is usually quiet fair in presenting differing viewpoints. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to navigate the app version of this very helpful book. I heartily recommend it.

One Stop Bible Resource. Multiple Bible Translations available along with available commentaries really make this a one stop shop if your looking to really understand / study Gods word. I only wish they had an integrated Bible dictionary.

Books of the Bible. The book title drop down no longer works after the last update, making it difficult to use. How do I contact the developer?

NIV Study Bible. Having a full-featured NIV study bible on my phone is fantastic. Thank you for putting this tremendous resource at my fingertips! One comment (and one request), however, for your consideration: The 2011 version of the NIV is less faithful to the original text than the 1984 version. I realize some may be more comfortable with the more "politically correct" word substitutions found in the 2011 version but others (like me, I guess) think God's word is not "improved" when overlaid with our cultural preferences. In fact, the truth of God's word is far more likely to be compromised when we alter it to be more acceptable to the world. That said, I recognize some prefer the 2011 version. Any chance you might offer a NIV 1984 version of this app as well?

Niv xref. and copy functions are not working with iOS 8. I absolutely love this app and its functions with multiple translations and study materials. I use it every day. Fantastic! If there is any chance for additional improvements, I look forward for that. Like to see hyperlink capability for the personal notes. God bless! J. Abraham

Te carta study bible. Once you get the hang of it you can maneuver all over the Bible study notes, etc. These folks did a really good job in putting this app together!

What a blessing. This makes studying so much easier which makes it more likely that I’ll actually study. And after all, isn’t that what it’s all about? I have the devotional of the day turned on and read that every morning and that gets me started. From there I start cross referencing verses from different books with the easy to follow guides and read notes along the side that help clarify difficult to read passages or give information about the time period. Before I know it I’ve been reading for 30 minutes to an hour. I love it.

Amazing app. This app is truly an amazing tool for all Christians to use in their daily Bible reading & study. The ability to add different study bibles & devotionals into 1 app is truly exceptional.

Amazing Product. I can't say enough good things about this eBible. It has so many useful features, and I seem to discover new ones or new combinations frequently. I particularly am impressed with how I can go through a chain of notes and cross references by finger touch and then return to my original location instantaneously. When I was having difficulty trying to use one feature, I used Help and got an email response within hours. Clearly a lot of thought went into this product.

Sole electronic bible app used. This is the best study bible out there, and I've tried several. The regular Bible app is a good freebie, but this beats the Glo Bible app if you're willing to pay for the extra resources.

Best Bible App Available. I have several Tecarta bible versions and love adding new ones as the app is so powerful yet simple to use. It has more than exceeded my expectIons. I have the paper version some of the study bibles. Tecarta versions are way less expensive and easier to of navigate yet have everything the paper versions have. Your study time will be way more productive with Tecarta as it is best digital bible format available - and I know, as I have many to compare. Tecarta is similar Logos as you can add commentaries, translations, study bibles, devotionals, etc. and have ability to add highlight, add notes, bookmarks to specific scripture and customize many different way, yet it is easier to use and much less expensive than Logos. You will love this app!

A complete resource for Bible study. Tecarta’s NIV Study Bible is technically sound, regularly supported, infinitely expandable and easy-to-use. Whether one wants only to read the Word or deeply study and compare events surrounding the scriptures, this application will not disappoint. Make side by side comparisons to other Bibles, navigate to cross-referenced passages, highlight verses, review furnished study notes highlighted by icons, organize and save personal notes, enjoy maps, illustrations, photos and videos ... so much but so usable for ANY user. Though I could write much more, I recommend reading the fact sheet to see if the features meet your needs .. and then having confidence that you can easily use this application even if you’re a technology novice.

Wonderful. This is a wonderful bible app. The cross references, definitions, maps and images, and study notes/commentary - it has everything. Very thankful and worth the purchase.

Doesn’t maintain position. While using the app, if my iPad goes to sleep, any open resource on the right side will jump back to the beginning. I have the preachers commentary and some of the sections can be long. If I am teaching and don’t keep my iPad awake, when I resume I’ve lost where I am at. I’ve turn off the sync with bible and that didn’t help.

Needs a help section. If there is a way to see more than one translation at a time, I certainly can’t find it. Using an iPhone X, I can only see one version at a time. I find no access to any help features. Basically, this is not useful to me.

Love this Psalm. I feel so blessed! Even though life is hard; knowing that HE is in the heaven waiting for His Own, makes it a great deal smoother. But, mainly I am thankful that you guys made the NIV Bible available online, so everyone who seeks comfort and truth can pick up an electronic iPad and find their God!

Love this and all the features....but. My husband and I have family share. All of a sudden this app on his iPad (that we got him with family share,) quit working. We delayed it and now it wants him to purchase it. Family share is set up on both devices. We both have that it's not working for him.

I love this app.. I love this app. The only improvement I would like to see is the ability to use my Apple Pencil to write notes. It is awesome to have the study notes to look at as I read the text!!

Wonderful. I truly love this program. The more I use it the better it gets. There is one thing that would be nice and that would be to be able to write notes with the pen or write in the margins.

Limited useful app. In iOS this app is terrible. The interface does not allow easy change between translations. If there is way to change Bible translations, it is not intuitive. If don’t need to use more than one translation this is a very good app and access to different books of a particular bible is easy.

Very happy with it!. This Bible app is much more than I originally thought it would be when I first purchased it. And I keep discovering more ways to use it! It's great for just reading, of course. Easy to search for what book and chapter I want to read and easy reference for topics. Plus here's a bit of the "so much more": * A verse of the day, daily devotional, and tip of the day. I set these so that I see them when I first open my iPad, so I can read any of them, all of them, or none of them that day. * Very interesting and helpful charts that teach me things about both the Old and New Testaments. * Historical and cultural context before each new book in the Bible and, if you would like, a running guide to the chapter and verses that accompany any part of the Bible you are currently reading. I'm guessing that what I just wrote is already in the description of the app. But I haven't seen that since my purchase. So I'm simply telling you what I've discovered that is so helpful and enriching for me. There are likely more things I have yet to discover. :D

Awesome. I’ve read about every Bible version there is. The NIV is at least for me, the clearest and easiest to understand there is. I’ve been a fan for years and if I experiment with any other version, I always come back to this one. The footnotes, maps, etc. on meaning, application, and historical context are perfect for understanding what the author was trying to get across to his readers / listeners. A real companion of cultural relevance to modern day. This Bible version has been the strongest companion of insight to my spiritual walk. You owe it to yourself to give it the chance to be yours!

Excellent - just one bug fix and some recommendations. A brilliant iPad and iPhone program which allows great opportunity to explore Scripture in more detail. Writing notes is easy and intuitive. I haven't been able to open any of the interactive sections (on iPad 4 64GB or iPhone 4S). I want to show people these amazing features. PLEASE PLEASE FIX THIS! :)

Help. Had bible app for several months and very pleased with it but unable to load latest update and now application frozen and inaccessible.

Quality. This is such a well designed study bible app. To me it is clearly the best bible app. It is so beautifully designed and easy to use. I love that my study bibles are now with me wherever I go. They are so valuable in my devotion times.

The Best. I served as a pastor for 30 years and an additional 7 years as a Christian missionary to the Jewish community here in Australia. I am now 74 years old, so I have used God's Word for a long time and loved using it. Therefore, I am in a good position to comment on the Tecarta Study Bible. I highly recommend it for iPad and iPhone users. It has many translations with helpful notes, commentary, maps (static and interactive), diagrams etc. They are very easy to navigate and easy to read. Techno grand nan. Very practical......full of relevant information for the Christian worker and bible student. I would recommend it to those not confident with this technology. After continuous use I won't be going back to my large heavy hard cover.

Interactive portion crashes. Great app! Only request is for a fix for the interactive portion. It crashes on ipad and iPhone. I've contacted Zondervan but had no reply. If this could be fixed it would be a much better app for it's cost.

Great bible app. I having been using Tecarta NIV Study Bible for a couple of years. It's great! I always have the bible available in my pocket. I often read in the morning on the train, very convenient. An enhancement could be the addition of some bible reading plans.

Great. It took me a while to understand the app. But after reading the guides I grew to love it. I have recommended this app to family.

Love my Bible. I Love this Bible App. I really like that I can highlight and bookmark my favourite parts.

Convenient and efficient. The iPad version of the NIV Study Bible is a great asset. It's all there (as well as other language versions) which makes it so convenient. When travelling, it is simple to pack, weighs little and passages and notes can be accessed in a moment.

Lack of active cross-referencing. Passage references within study notes are not clickable. Inexcusable for a $25 electronic study bible. ESV study bible is cheaper and provides this feature with backtracking. Also, will not jump from highlighted verse to corresponding note (goes to start of chapter notes and makes you scroll down).

Excellent app - well worth the money. I got this app a few years ago now and have been very impressed with the layout of the Bible verses, plus the study guide. I like that the creators are continually improving its features and usability.

Great, but could better. I do love this app, but have experienced problems when my NOTES haven't saved on 2 occasions and have been unable to retrieve them even when I've asked for App help. That is a NUISANCE especially when I have taken notes during a lengthy Bible study session only to find that nothing has saved when I've needed to access the notes at a later stage. Also, it would be great if we had the option of italicising,making bold, underlining an especially highlighting NOTES, not just in the Bible text, but in the personal pop-up notes alongside the Bible text. Please, try to make this option available in an update. That would make this app perfect, 5 stars!

What can I say?. I am so glad I bought this as it’s just so well done and to me it’s very important to have historical notes included to give me a better perspective of the nature, time and conditions prevailing at the time the authors wrote. I didn’t expect such good value. I really appreciate the price too. I love the Bible and can never get enough of it. I’m a Bahá’í but our religion believes the Bible is the Word of God too. What a fantastic app! Thank you. I wonder if you’ll make available Bibles in different languages?

NIV Study bible. Compared with my NRSVA bible's ease of navigation this is a nightmare - where on earth is the index as a start? Something I'm not doing right for sure

Dr.. You need to allow 1984 NIV for purchase! It's not fair to allow every other translation for purchase and not give us NIV. This is the best bible app I have ever used. Thank you so much for making it possible. I like the new hi lighting functions, but need to be able to stack underline and hi light rather than one or the other. Needs a back AND forward button so we can navigate between 2 passages easily. I find although I've got the quick reference tabs up the top, during bible study I'm the last to flick between 2 passages because I can't simply hit forward.

NIV, a great study bible. This study version is very useful, full of information and in an easy to use format. I love the NIV version so generally this bible and its helps suits my needs well. The cross references within the text are easy to access. Moving to a new book is a dream when one is involved in a group study. This too, is great for a beginner who does not necessarily know the order of the books and struggles to find references. I would love a concordance but I suppose you can't have everything!

Deleting this invasive app. - This app copies your messages and photos via the clipboard without consent. - The app is no longer maintained and hasn’t had security issues fixed in over 2 years. - The app won’t provide information on how it tracks you and accesses your messages, photos and location. - The company who owns this app doesn’t respond when clarification is sought. User beware - this is absolutely not best practice for keeping your data safe or providing transparency.

Worth spending money on.. This app just keeps getting better. I can search faster than the pastor can skip between verses. The topics are a great help. The app runs smoothly and is well polished in terms of presentation. Great personalised settings for size and red text. A great way to keep reading.

Well worth the price!. If you are looking for a Bible app, this is it! An extremely full-featured application, it allows you to search, read, and get some background info on texts, and topics. It is LARGE! Updates take forever to load (so do this over night), but I found the support for this application to be excellent. However, it loads quickly, and you can be reading a bible text in church as quickly as the speaker reads the reference. (Don't do this, though, since it looks like you are checking your e-mail, rather than listening to God's Word!!!!) Over all - highly recommended!!

Great app. Nice to have a NIV study Bible in app form. It is very easy to navigate and the layout is great. It would be nice to have reading plans integrated in the app and be able to track them. I have to use another app just for that.

Best study bible app. This is the most expensive app I have ever bought, but it is well worth the money. It is fully loaded with the NIV study notes, as well as maps, pictures, videos and so much more. The most recent versions even have choices of voices to read the bible to you. I would definitely recommend this app to anyone who is interested in the Bible.

Really nice but.... This is a great app. I just wish it was a bit easier to get to specific verses. The ESV Bible app, the HCSB Study Bible, and John McArthur's Study Bible are much simpler to use in this regard. That's the only reason I didn't give it a 5/5.

NIV study bible. I love to use the electronic study bible as I can increase the font size. My one disappointment is in the quality of the speaking voice available. It is such a computerized distorted voice.

The best way to study the bible. No question this is the best way to study the bible. For the first time, I have an app (an iBook) that is better than the paper edition (which I've been using for two decades now). The user interface is fabulous, allows you to bookmark, take notes, and highlight. And most importantly, find just the right passage at just the right time.

Love this study bible. Thanks for this helpful study bible. I haven't a theology degree, so the content herein helps fill the gaps that I never knew. I also use this during church sermons to easily take notes and insert multiple bible verses, in full script , into my sermon notes. Well designed for parallel use of NIV with additionally available for purchase translations as well as with its own or your choice of additionally available for purchase study bible notes. Easy to use highlighting, bookmarking, with margin and general note writing facilities. Built in text-to-speech in English and Spanish to listen to the bible. A pleasure to use.

NIV Study Bible. Very elegant and powerful. I tried it on a "hard" passage ( Ps 110:1) and got the clearest account I've seen, including a very lucid set of cross-references. This is a fine companion to the NIV Bible app, which I have been using with pleasure for a year. The NIV has become my "default" Bible, and now the NIV Study Bible is becoming my default study Bible, though the Orthodox Study Bible and The Jerusalem Bible remain indispensable. Like everyone else, I am grateful for the quick and successful fix to the glitch with iPad 1.

Generally Good. I have used the Zondervan NIV study Bible for years. As such, I don't use the ancillary material much any more, caring only for the Scripture verses themselves. This app is generally good. I have a few nuisances: - footnotes are not presented clearly - I would prefer a separate footnote as a superscript number which would display the footnote when tapped. This was how the Palm version showed them. (I am mainly using an iPad mini at present.) - navigation of the help system is not intuitive for me. Again, I have been using this for years now, so this may not be something which others find bothersome. - I would like to see more control over font size. On the Mini, I don't seem to have a way to have a full-width view of a single page in landscape mode. Since cataract surgery, this would be highly, no HIGHLY desirable for me. - as an occasional iOS app developer, I would prefer that the app use standard Apple-provided icons. The custom icons are not intuitive for me. ...but enough of the nuisances. The important thing is that you spend time regularly or daily reading the Word of God, and this app is a more than reasonable choice. May God bless your studies!

Great AP! Great Bible!. I'm impressed! Just what I was looking for in an electronic Bible. Much better than an ebook that's for sure. I love all the extras! The ease to view the study notes and easy access to creating your own. :0) I only wish this AP was available a couple of weeks ago when I purchased the ebook, which was very disappointing, very hard to use and navigate, would love a refund. :0(

A good Study Bible App. I like this app with the study notes but don't care for the way the notes always refer to other notes, without simply displaying the notes again, right where you are. The notes in this version seem much shorter than my old physical version of 'NIV Study Bible New International Version' copyright 1985. This is one of my favorites and I thought this app would be its online counterpart. I especially love the color timeline in the front of my old version. Cannot find it (if it exists) in this app version. Other than that, I am glad to have a Study Bible on my iPad.

Love this app but.... For awhile now, I've been having trouble with the auto scrolling feature when I have two translations side by side. Won't stop moving on its own. I could even have one translation in screen, scroll down a little bit, but when I take my thumb or finger off the screen, it still keeps scrolling up on its own so I have to place my thumb or finger back on the screen to keep the screen still.

Encarta NIV Study Bible. I love being able to have the entire NIV Study Bible at my disposal on the iPad. (I also have it on my phone.). Most of the features work well, but there is one glitch that kept me from giving it five stars. There are references to charts or maps at a page number, but no way to go directly to that page number. I thought this was going to be fixed, but it has not.

Best Bible App on iOS. I have tried virtually all eBibles and found nearly all of them cumbersome to use. I generally abandoned them after a few weeks. But this one is different. The text is formatted beautifully (without needing a million settings to customize it), it has a night reading mode, and I LOVE the navigation (scroll to read current chapter, swipe to go to the next chapter) - its an incredibly logical way to read the Bible, at least for me. I have used it exclusively for months now and couldn't be happier. I spend time daily in this app on both my iPhone and iPad, works great across both.

So close .... The content is great … love having the study Bible notes along side as I read (and this works better on an iPad … you have to toggle back-and-forth on an iPhone). If you’re not a fan of the NIV translation (2011), there are others available. This has become my go-to copy of the Bible, as the print in my physical copy is just a little too small. The one demerit is that it’s not as good at sharing verses as YouVersion, and will truncate a verse well before YouVersion in order to fit in a link. It’s a small thing, but odd when the app gets so much right. Should be 4 1/2 stars, but I’m rounding up since it’s closer to “great” than “good."

Highlights. I love this app most sincerely. The only thing I would change and then it would earn 5 stars..... Is that the highlighting needs to be by word not by verse. Sometimes there are short sentences in a verse I want to highlight and I am stuck with having to highlight the entire passage which can be quite long....when all I wanted was a sentence. I like that you can search your highlights by color but that does no good unless you can highlight specific things. Thanks! Please please fix.....

Zondervan NIV Study Bible. This Study Bible is the BEST Bible that I have come across, I have the online (digital) version as well as the leather edition. There is so much information and explanations throughout this Bible, it is very reader friendly and I would recommend this Bible to both beginners as well as advanced Bible readers. Zondervan also makes an audio Bible which is on CD, it is word for word to this Bible and is dramatized, it is great for listening to on the go, so what you start at home, or office, can be continued while running errands or the commute home from work or even while traveling. I absolutely love this Bible in all formats. I do hope that this review helps those of you that may have had some questions pertaining to this Bible.........I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

New to it.. LOVING IT.

I like this app very much. This is a pretty good app. I have bought study bibles, devotions and different translations at great prices. Second, it is user friendly. I kinda went pushing all the options to know how it worked and how much it had to offer. It syncs well with all your devices. You can select font size. Have to versions side to side for you to read. It also reads it to you. You can highlight with different colors, or underline. Write notes, book mark. Have margin notes. You also have folders. All this syncs. Great! 👍👍

Nice Study Bible, but lacks a few more maps, charts, features, etc.. 90% nice. But there may be a few maps left, also please put in this app the color maps supplement at the end of the bible to be placed in a separate study resource. Also please fix some errors, including addition of the "days of forming/days of filling" chart, etc. in study notes. You may also improve the book introductions by changing the design into the ones seen in the book version. Plus, there may be some Bible text that needs to be fixed like the list of returning exiles, the defeated kings of Israel, etc. that aren't aligned properly. i don't know what it's like but there may be some errors... pls. fix these as well as fixing the comments found in the comments section.

Best Study Bible. I have tried several bibles, only to be disappointed every single time, until I finally found this one. Reviews I read we're good so I gave it a try & I highly recommend spending a little extra money to get this one. It has information throughout each book for reference as well as an opening paragraph for each book. It also has very nice pictures.

Highly Impressed!. I have used the NIV study Bible for years, and just recently upgraded to the NIV 2011 study Bible hardcopy. I am highly impressed with this app, for it has EVERYTHING that my hardcopy NIVSB2011 has, plus interactive videos. I use this app on my iphone 4s and couldn't be more happy -- the center-column references, the notes at the bottom of the pages, the introductions to each book, the maps -- its all in the app. Navigation, searching, reading, chapter changing, and page-turning work intuitively and beautifully. I highly recommend this app!

Good, few changes would make Great!. A good product overall, but a few changes would make it great. The main change and most limiting factor in utilizing this as my primary means of studying is the inability to highlight, underline or make a note for a SINGLE WORD. I would love to see this added and believe this change alone would bump my rating to 5 Stars! It's hard to utilize certain study methods or maximize your study when you can't do this. I had to download another bible app that would allow me to do this, and have to switch between the two. I would also love to see more color options when highlighting.

Very complete and easy to use!. This is an absolutely wonderful Bible study application. From the very first moment I started to use it, I had no difficulty at all navigating from within the various functions. I'm using it on an iPhone, which I am fairly new to, and think this will be a wonderful addition to my study of the Bible. Probably the best part of this is that I will have a Bible with me everywhere I go. I think this is about the best study Bible person could hope to get for the money. UPDATE: I've been using it a few years now, and it has turned out to be everything I had hoped it would be. (May 2017)

Better, can still improve. I use this daily on my iPad. Recent changes did help some. Three clumsy areas remain to improve: 1)We can now highlight just a word or phrase within a verse but the 'vice' thing to work with is difficult, not good. 2)As others note the looking up passages (books and verses) is OK, but not as quick and easy as it should be. The layout could be improved and made larger so not having to be so fine-tuned to touch the right spot. 3)Though there is a 'back' button to go back to the previous verse there is no 'forward' button to return. Overall, I still love it and find it best of those I have tried.

Review of APP. I echo what has been noted with the use of the 'dial' to locate passages. That is time-consuming when you are trying to look up a passage quickly. I do enjoy the 'back' feature, and I would suggest having a feature to 'move to the entry before shifting back.' I often find myself hitting the wrong button when I am taking notes; I am left-handed, and it would be nice to be able to move the passage comments/highlights to another portion of the screen. I use the App weekly on my iPad, and it is my 'go-to' Bible when I am using my iPad.

Good App. Like the previous method of selecting book and verse better! Would like to see the study notes linked to each other. There is a lot of "see note to ..." With a book and verse referenced and linked. But when you tap the link the app takes you from where you are reading to the new referenced book and verse instead of giving a hyper text window with the other note! It is a hassle having to navigate back to where you were reading.

Awesome!. So, if you are like me you are probably wondering if you really want to pay this much for a Bible app...the answer is a definite YES! This is by far the BEST Bible app ever!!! It has absolutely everything you need to effectively study the Bible in a whole new way. I was always trying to drag my very large (and very heavy) study Bible to work to study at lunch...now I have this app and will be using it daily! There are commentaries and maps...book introductions about the details of the write and the book...so much background info...just amazing! Anyway...hope this helps!

Great app. Great UI

NIV Study Bible. Update 3/4/16. This App started good. In Jan it started acting up. I have worked with the developer for 2 months. They are unable to solve 'refresh' problem. Save your money until it works correctly. I will check it periodically and repost if/when they get it going. This is the best stand-a-lone NIV App. Amazing all of the information herein. You can also purchase other translations and they use the same format as the NIV, and work within it. I haven't been able to get the notes and highlights to show from one translation to the other. I also use PocketBible (by Laridian). It is good in all of the translations it has available, and also many commentaries. Each one is an additional cost. I like and use them both. If you are into free (and who isn't) then YouVerson is also very good. Read, study, contemplate, and heed all that is there. My God bless you and give you His peace.

Really good, could be great. I agree with the rest of the reviews on this app. I love the info and having my favorite study Bible on my iPad. It needs to sync between the iPhone and iPad with notes, etc. and back up to iCloud so I do not lose all my work. Also the back button would be great for when I am digging into the details and need to go back to where I was originally reading. Once these changes occur it will be 5 stars!

NIV study Bible. Awesome, due to the ability to change the font and even text size, I am able to read the Bible now without difficulty. Although I contribute it more to God opening my eyes thru the trial I am dealing with, but I am able to see the words more clearly. If I had one suggestion, may be because I haven't figure out how to do this is, when I make a note within a folder I have created, it would be nice if I could tap on the verse and it take me to the verse within the Bible itself.

Great study Bible. Latest version improve commentary font sizes but made the book/verse navigator worse by taking simple outline and turning it into a slot machine roller. Other than that , great tool General review This Bible does not suffer the drawbacks I see others talk about for the other Zondervan study Bibles. Bible commentary can be read along side the verses without losing your position. Better than the hard copy version for me because font size for verses is adjustable and I feel it's very easy to navigate. I also love the few simple maps which use arrow to animate people's journeys and getting a (simple) view of a few temples. Only drawbacks are slightly more expensive price, very minor navigation inconveniences when using maps, videos, and lastly, note/comment font size does not seem adjustable (but is readable even without my reading glasses).

Great study bible. What can I say about God's word other than get it anywhere and way you can. I personally prefer to pick up the leather bound version and pick a random verse. It's amazing how UN-random the results often are. That said this app is great when I don't want to find reading glasses or light. It's maps and photos reveal a great deal more than any single bible I own. Topical searches are great tools as well. I make bible study and sermon notes in this app. It's nice to go back and review past notes and have the scriptures linked to those notes. If I could add one feature it would be to have the app send me a daily passage based on my recent study's etc.

Very good Bible app. I like the multi-version options. I have the NIV study bible, NKJV study bible and the Amplified bible. The app comes with the KJV, as standard. I can switch between study bibles and have two versions of the bible open at the same time. I would like to see an easier way to switch between versions, especially when you want to keep the same study bible. Maybe I missed this in the instructions. Overall, I am very pleased to have a comprehensive way of viewing God's word in various translations.

Love this app!. I am really enjoying this app! I have had a paper version study bible for years and missed having this resource in other bible apps. My favorite part is the notes functionality and being able to sort them into folders. (Would love to see this sync between devices) My one complaint is that although the multi-media stuff is really cool, it takes up a decent chunk of memory.

Love new sync and save to cloud feature!!. This has changed my relationship with the Lord. My hunger for His word has increased so much. I love the commentary alongside the scripture. Love being able to take sermon notes, add margin notes, highlight, bookmarking. The searching and topics are awesome. Love the maps and pictures and charts that are in the chapters. I really love being able to cross reference and then hit the back button right back where I was! It is just amazing. And now you can sync with your iPhone and back-up all your notes, bookmarks, etc on their cloud! That was my biggest concern and they corrected it. Thank you so much for this awesome program!!! No excuses!!!. There are times when we make our reasons for not doing something justifiable because we feel it has validity. As though we should be found faithful concerning what the Lord gives us. Thus, this app, at this point there should be no reason no to remain consistent in reading God's word. The presentation is amazing and very easy to use. However, I do hope that in the future there will be update with more content that will continue to provoke us. As well as a deeper reference an Greek and Hebrew interface. It is a study bible. Studying is designed to have you to go deeper. Thx

Great, practical app. I use this app on my iPad and it has worked beautifully. I appreciate that it syncs with the NIV Quest Study Bible so that all of my highlights switch right over when I choose to use the other. Also, using the book-style page reader in landscape mode within this app is the best reading experience I have had on any tablet. It truly does feel like an actual book.

Zondervan NIV Study Bible App. My Zondervan NIV Study Bible App doesn't work on my Original iPad (iOS 5.1.1) since your last update. It works fine on my iPod Touch (iOS 6.1.3) and my New iPad (iOS 7.0). The app starts up for less then 1 second then disappears. Please fix this as it seems your app has a flaw for iOS 5.1.1. Five Stars Rating when this problem is fixed. Thanks for the Oct. 1 update! The App now opens on my, Original iPad (iOS 5.1.1), and I synced it, but when I select the margin notes tab, my notes aren't there. The notes are still on my iPod and new iPad. If i go to a specific verse, the margin note is on the verse, but it indicates "Null". Maybe this " Null" indication by the verse is why the margin notes aren't listed under the margin notes tab. Also, none of my highlights transferred over. The folders and notes under folders tab did transfer and sync OK. Five Stars Rating when this problem is fixed.

Great app for study...Good app for Sunday. This is a good app with great potential. This is a great app for reading and studying in a personal environment. But I've tried to use it in a church setting and it could use some improvements to make it more functional there...mainly in ease of navigation. The back button is great, but once you go back, you can't go forward so toggling back and forth between 2 or more scriptures is slow because of where the History button is hidden. Would be great to have all of the navigation items (passage reference/search, back arrow, forward arrow, word/phrase search magnifying glass, history clock, settings gear and "supporting material" box) accessible via one-button press from the reading pane header like the back arrow, passage reference and magnifying glass are now. Also, would be good to be able to download (for fee) other versions besides NIV and be able to view different versions side-by-side with synchronous and asynchronous scrolling options. This would help make it an extremely useful app for both study and sermons. Thank you for filling such a need in the world with such a great/good app!

Great Bible App. I use this app nearly daily and have now started using it for taking notes for sermons, small group studies, and daily devotionals. I love the flexibility to organize my notes and include bookmarks of specific verses with my notes. The only additional update I would like to see in the near future is a night mode for the top level notes section and for the keyboard; those 2 items are extremely bright when working in the dark or dim ambient lighting.

Couldn't ask for more. It tools very long time to finally find a bible all that I really liked. I wanted to highlight, bookmark in categories, margin "notes" etc and this was the only app that could do that. It also allows for two bibles parallel although I would like to be able to have two different books of the bible in one screen (when looking up references etc) but over all this is the app I use now daily for my bible reading and hope that the next upgrade/update has more cool features ( like different highlighter colors) but over all it's an awesome app.

Great! And keeps getting better!. I also agree with the other reviewers here...this is a fantastic app! I use it every day, and truly utilize every feature available...all make my reading and devotional time that much more valuable. The small things that used to concern me or that I wished for - backups, syncing with other devices, more flexible highlighting, etc - have all been addressed in recent updates. Way to go!

NIV Study Bible--awesome!. Absolutely love this app. My only complaint is there should be a "back" button. It's great how things are underlined and you can touch them and being up the cross reference. What would be great is to be able to go back to what you were reading by hitting a back button rather than having to navigate back to it. I can't seem to figure out how to save all my notes. What happens if something happens to my ipad? And the notes don't sync between iphone and ipad, which is frustrating.

Amazing is an understatement. This app is phenomenal all around. It can read to you while you're in the car. You can switch in between different translations and study Bibles. It's an all-around app. Luckily my father introduced me to this. I recommend it to anyone and everyone I come in contact with. To everyone reading this: have a blessed day. No regrets with this app purchase! Used almost daily.. I have no regrets with my purchase of the NIV Study Bible app. It is an extremely useful tool and find that I reach for my iPad Bible almost daily. The most recent update was a bit confusing but after spending some time poking around with the update changes, there are more options than were available in the previous version - thank you. A request - please add the capability of highlighting in the study note area; often there is some wisdom defining a verse that I would like to jump out at me when I come to that passage again. Thanks for making access to God's Word such a pleasure to use!

A Simple Joy. As a pastor, I have other software that I use for sermon preparation and study. However, for daily Bible reading this app is a simple joy for me. I look forward to the addition of a Greek/Hebrew reverse interlinear as an option to use beside of another translation. I noticed the refresh issue mentioned by another reviewer. I encountered the same problem on my iPad. I don't know it it will work for someone else, but after some trial and error, I found that the problem seemed to resolve itself if I double clicked the home button and closed out all the other apps running in the background. I tend to get a lot of them open and suspected it was slowing things down. Turning the device off and back on might also help.

Excellent App. Reading the Bible in conventional "e-reader" apps is often frustrating because it is difficult to quickly navigate to a desired chapter or verse. The regular e-readers never seem to get the indexing right. This app makes it very easy to quickly get anywhere using the location bar at the top. I also like the easy access to study and supplementary materials. Side-by-side is also a useful feature. The UI is very well designed and has a quality feel. I highly recommend!

Awesome Study Bible. This study bible gets better and better. The new updates make navigating even easier. I like the the additional bible versions, commentaries, etc. I use this app for note taking and highlighting at church, as well my personal bible study at home and church. I never thought I would say; I am using the app more than the hard copy. Being able to jump to reference scriptures w/o losing my place and thought is great. I also like being able to compare other versions all in one place. It is really nice to have all resources in one place. Thanks for the hard work that you have put into this app.

Good app & Bible. This is a good bible & app. This is definitely more of a study bible, it doesn't answer some of life's real questions like other bibles. The app - the notes, highlights & especially the folder feature (being able to create folders for notes) is very nice. The only fault I have found is within the highlight function - this is where I would give 4 1/2 stars if possible - you can't highlight within the study section of the bible, a heading, nor just the chapter of a book in the bible (example if you want to highlight Psalm 23 you have to highlight the whole chapter or get creative, you can't just highlight "Psalm 23"). Also like that you can sync to all your devices.

Best Bible app that I know. This app is amazing. The recent updates make this the best Bible app I've ever seen. I've been a customer for years. Many of the things I felt the app was missing have now been added. Now you can see your notes in other versions you've downloaded, and now across multiple devices. That was a huge deal for me, but that is not all you get! Now you can go to their Tecarta website copy all your notes and paste them in Word documents. The old process was painful. Wow that really makes it a great tool when you're creating sermons or a simple lesson to share. You really should consider purchasing this app as they just made this a game changer. You won't be wasting your money. It's now a great value. Thank you Tecarta.

Love it!. I have many other bible apps more powerful and much more complicated without accomplishing much more, only more frustrating. Although I find this one very enjoyable to use! When you're involved in daily devotions the last thing you need is a frustrating bible app like many of the other bigger ones I have like Logos 6 tho it cost hundreds of dollars more. This one has all you need to do a thorough bible study. I love the beautiful layout! This app makes the others look ugly! I have bought several more in app bibles, helps, and devotionals, all work well with each other. For instance I can use NIV Study Bible notes while reading any other version, great features! 👍 I use it everyday! Thank you and the LORD for this app!

Superb Study Tool. Really enjoying the use of this app and function. It seems that gone are the days of having your large NIV bible open with four colors of highlighting and your other cross-reference books. I find this app very user friendly, and filled with lots of historical information and tons of cross reference notes. Also, you can highlight and make your own notes. Now all you need is your iPad or mobile phone to study. Love it.

My Full-time Bible. This is a wonderful Bible app. It is just like reading the book version of Zondervan's NIV study Bible. But this also brings me to a complaint. In the study notes it will often refer to the "map on page 391" or the "chart at the bottom of the page" - which must be poor translating from the book to the digital versions as page numbers domnot exist. It would be much better if charts and maps were numbered with appropriate references in the study notes. Still, I recommend this Bible.
