Love it! Very helpful. Makes Whole30 much easier!! Thank you!! I was so frustrated looking up ingredients at the store. Also it's nice having everything in one place. The developer is good at making updates. I had feedback and they fixed it very quickly. Thanks

Awful app. I downloaded this app thinking I could get a lot of useful info while doing whole30. However, it doesn’t update the days. It doesn’t have half of the packages I scan and when it does bring a product up, it’s not the same product as what I scanned. It does the same for ingredients - I tried putting in some ingredients and got no results. If I could get my money back, I 100% would.

Don't waste your money. For a free app, this would be great. The barcode reader often either didn't recognize foods or gave me a completely different food than what I scanned and said it wasn't whole 30 compatible when it in fact was. The ingredient search also didn't include almost every ingredient I was looking for, such as chia seed. Those were the two big reasons I downloaded it and neither measured up.

Thank you. I really do like your app! It’s simplicity makes its easy to use, my only recommendation would be to have a option to log how you are feeling on that day! Yes you say how we’re supposed to feel but every one is different and it would be great to have everything together to reference back. Thank you for this it’s truly wonderful.

UI is trash and scanning database isn’t big. The UI isn’t put together very well. The database for approved items isn’t very big. So far most the items I’ve scanned wasn’t found in their system. Definitely feels half a$$ed. I.e. when you go to recipes.. it’s not even giving you recipes. It forwards you to the whole30 Instagram page. Like duh I’ll check out recipes there too, but I got this app to have more resources. Also, You’re probably thinking, “oh they will probably update the app.” It’s been 4 months since the app has been updated on this day of my review. Save your money and don’t get this app.

Needs one improvement. App works great except that when all subcategories of a group are not allowed it should tell you that before you have to go into each category individually. When I scan a product and it has 15 different versions or flavors of that product, it’s such a waste of time to go into every one only to find that ALL of them are not allowed. Just tell me up front!!!

Good App - Lame Daily Encouragement. First of all, let me be clear, we should not find our sole encouragement during Whole30 from a phone app. Regardless, it should have a little more thought and time put it into it then several days of practically the same saying reworded. Use facts about what the body is/should be experiencing and tell the user these things. Then round it out with genuine encouragement. As for the ingredient search and the package finder, they are great qualities of the app. I've had nothing but success with either of those things. That's the main reason why the price is justified.

Not exactly what I had hoped. I have my start date of Whole 30 for Sunday, July 8th. I thought I would just test it with some of the poor choices I have at home currently. Potato chips can be approved based on the contents...I’ll just need to avoid them.

A Must Have to understand the Plan. I love this app for its completeness. I never really understood the program but this makes it easy. The only criticism I have is that when I pay for an app, I don’t expect ads to pop up. These are annoying since they pop up covering content. I would certainly pay more for an ad free version. The app itself, however, is excellent.

It’s just a list of approved foods & an inconsistent scanner. This app doesn’t doo much. You have to add in your own items for the grocery list. It should be able to add to your list through the approved foods. It doesn’t save the last grocery list. The grocery list doesn’t give you room for quantities — do I need 5 bananas or 6 bananas? Well you’d have to add that as a new item. Can you edit an item in your grocery list? Nope. It’s like an app made from DOS/Basic programming language. Not a time saver. Don’t waste your money. May I have a refund? One day in and I already can’t stand it. I think Carb Manager is much more effective.

Decent. The app is decent. It has a few good whole30 recipes, but only about 10-15 and you can find these recipes online. You can’t save them or get to them any easier than if you typed it into google. The barcoding system is decent, but there were many barcodes that weren’t in the system yet. The app in its entirety is just decent. I wish they’d have a lot more recipes (sorted by categories) with easier access, a better and more exciting countdown format and more barcodes in their system.

Doesn’t work. I absolutely hate this app. I spend more time trying to find the items on this crap app than reading the ingredients myself. The scan doesn’t always work because a lot of items aren’t there. Sometimes I’ll scan something and it’ll give me a long list of items that are under the same company but the item I am looking for is not there. What is the point of making an app for a purpose and not do it well? If this app was free, I wouldn’t even use it.

New to Whole 30. As a person just starting Whole 30, (I’m on Day Six), this app has been a life-saver. The best feature by far is the package scanner. There are so many confusing rules on what to eliminate that without this app, I’m afraid I would find this food plan too difficult to follow. There are still many foods the app does not recognize, but overall, it is a great tool.

Not official or always accurate. Just learned today that the Whole30 program is working on an official W30 app and that others in the App Store claiming to be accurate are not endorsed by W30 and, often times are inaccurate. I’m quite disappointed learning this 15 days into the program which also likely explains why many items did not scan which I knew for sure were W30 approved. I just hope this app didn’t steer me wrong on some foods that were not compliant yet scanned as ‘approved.’ Will be requesting a refund for this app.

Deffinitely a waste of $$$. I wish I had read the critical reviews. It truly is an empty app. There is no recipe database, just links to Instagram. You can't search by meal or food type. Total waste. Every time you try to use the app, the pop up to connect to Instagram interferes with your attempts to search for whatever little information it does have on hand. Also, found it very interesting that the "feedback" link doesn't work either. Total crap, do not waste your time or money.

Needs More Features. Hi, this is my first day using the app so don’t have a lot of feedback in terms of the food search. However it would be really helpful if you could add some other features. 1) The ability to keep track of the foods you ate during the day and not just look them up. There’s no sense of satisfaction of just looking at something but not being able to hit the “add” button. For example I ate something that wasn’t whole30 but didn’t realize it. I would still want to be able to add it so I know for the future. And then have the option to reset to day 1, for example. 2) Also would be great if we could mark certain foods as favorite so we always know if it’s an approved food without having to look it up each time. When you eat a variety of foods, it’s easy to forget what’s approved or not. 3) And also a notes feature would be helpful.

Ok but could be better. A helpful app but only finds 20-30% of products I scanned. The search by text doesn’t show product brand. The UI could use some tweaks that would make it more user friendly. To developers: Thank you for creating this app. It has potential. I’m a UX designer and would love to help you make this better. Reach out if you’re interested.

Whole 30 has changed my life and this app has simplified the change!. When I started Whole 30 I was a little frustrated with having to constantly check Google for approved ingredients. My Whole 30 partner found this app and POOF problem solved. This app changed everything. With a simple search or a scan I immediately know if a product is compliant. So easy! I also love the grocery list feature. I have completely stopped forgetting things when I go to the store (I also list other non Whole 30 products on there like garbage bags or whatever). It’s even made shopping with the kiddos easier! The kids love being in charge of the phone while we shop so they can search, scan, and delete items once the item has been put in the cart. Thank you for this ingenious app! Meagan and family

Not worth the value for the $$. If you have to give a one page direction up Front then you’re not developing an intuitive app. If you want people to set start date, then that should be the first thing to display the first time you use the app (instead of hiding in the menu). And where is the Ok or submit button? wasn’t sure if the date was set or not. Everything on the menu should be a button on the front screen. The recipe is just a link to the Instagram page, and the IG page is a bunch of marketing crap instead of recipes. So the only function if the entire app is to tell me if a product is compliant or not? To me that’s not worth $2.99, I could’ve google’d! Definitely don’t need the lame encouragement, I need practical things like recipes, ideas, a tool to track what I ate and show me what things I did well and what I fall Short. Can I get my $$ back?

UI Needs Much Improvement. Would prefer the app to open with a search and not lengthy scrollable text (not important). Buttons would be phenomenal as opposed to navigating a menu bar (important). Most importantly, I would value the option to add an ingredient from the search directly to my grocery list. For example, if I discover that salmon is compliant, I could tap a plus sign and add it to my list, rather than have to navigate to a different menu and input salmon all over again. Then go back to search for another and repeat. For looking up additives, though, it is incredibly useful. Looking forward to updates!

Saved me several times!. To me the best part of the app is checking labels for compliance. I’ve come too close to purchasing compliant-looking products, only to discover they have one or more restricted ingredients.

Total waste of money. I was excited to find a well rated app to help me get through the questions I would surely have along the way. The barcode scanner is what really sold me. My first trip to Trader Joe’s I scanned a few barcodes, not one is recognized. I think okay, it’s their label, maybe I’m asking too much. Next stop, Whole Foods, same outcome. Surely it’s me... so I type ‘yucca’ in the ingredient search and again I’m disappointed. The recipe section brings you to Instagram. Okay I have already followed that myself, didn’t need a paid app to bring me there. How frustrating! I spent money for this crap? Don’t get suckered in like I did, just google your questions and follow whole30 recipes on Instagram. You’re welcome, you can send me your $2.99 because I just did about as much work as the app does.

Good but sometimes inaccurate. This is a good idea. I started scanning some of my canned food to see if it was compliant with the app. Some I expected to be compliant and they were. Some I expected NOT to be compliant and they were. But there were also NOT compliant foods coming back compliant! My example was a can of beans. In addition, the food database needs to be updated with more food. I like the application. It just needs to mature and fix the bugs. Thanks for the app team.

Not really worth it. There are very few useful tools in this app. It’s kind of a waste of money. The barcode scanner is convenient but it’s quicker to just read the ingredients list. And the approved food list feature is exactly the same as just typing an ingredient followed by “whole 30” In search bar, the very first thing that comes up is whether it’s approved or not. And I don’t need an app to count down my 30 days...I’m painfully aware of the time already. What would have been great is a recipe database and even better one where you could enter a couple of ingredients and have recipe results using what you have in refrigerator. Even some fun notifications or badges to get you through the days.

Not the most helpful or legit. Deli meat is not a compliant whole30 item and shouldn’t be listed as approved. Most deli meats have carrageenan which is not allowed on the plan. There are a lot of duplicate items also shown with spelling issues. Just makes it look like a cheap app that’s not much of a credible source. Many people take their whole30 plan seriously and when there are apps to support it that include false information, it’s frustrating. Especially when there’s a fee to purchase the app.

Decent App Overall. Decent app overall. I like the 30 day countdown. Also, the scan and search feature is nice. They have a recipe section, as well. I appreciate the recipe option, however, there is an annoying Instagram pop up in the recipe section. I understand the recipe section works better with Instagram, but I don’t want to do Instagram. It continually pops up with each recipe, as I’m trying to read it. When I select the back button, it does nothing. If I hit it more than once, it takes me to the home screen. If this issue can be corrected, I’d be happy to give five stars.

Day10ok. I liked this app in the beginning of my 30 days because it was all new to me. But I’m finding there’s really not much in it to rely on. The food lookup is all there really is and I can do that with a list of approved foods, which is not that hard to remember anyway. I really wish it was more interactive and had more functions-like a good diary, and daily diary of thoughts, excercise, and a group chat type function. The daily one-liners to encourage are just from the book, so it’s be better to have something relevant but new.

What’s with the recipes section?. This app is ok, it’s not very pretty to look at but you can scan (not everything) and you can search ingredients. It also has a recipes section that is more than pretty useless. It used to be skinnytaste’s website, and now it links directly to the whole30 recipes Instagram. So basically you can click through to about 30 different links to actually find a recipe. Don’t have a recipes section then if you’re not providing anything with it.

Helpful for quicker grocery shopping. Helpful app but I’d like to see more brand barcodes added. There’s been quite a few times when I scan a product and it’s listed as ‘Not Found’. The app overall is user friendly.

Paying for ads?. This app has some good recipes although some that claim to be whole 30 compliant are not. It’s also super annoying that I paid for the app but there are still pop up ads. And they’re not even remotely related. I wish whole30 actually made an app. This one strives to cover many different diet plans.

Simple and convenient! Love this app. I love this app and don’t know what I would do without it!! They have all ingredients that are whole 30 approved or not approved, which is great for a quick look up while you are in the store! Also if there is something you come across that isn’t on there which is rare, you can tell them and they will add it! Also has a daily tip/ motivation and a countdown on how many days you have left. Thank you for this app. I haven’t found any other app that compares. Just the right information too! No extra meaningless info. I like how simple it is

There are ADS! ..Somewhat helpful app, but the recipe section is frustrating.. First off, I strongly disagree with the fact that there are ads shown in the recipe section even though this app cost $2.99. The ads are annoying and cover what I’m trying to look at, and I’m constantly having to close them. On another note, there needs to be a way to filter your search results when you’re searching for recipes. For instance, I am doing the whole 30 diet and I was looking for a salad dressing recipe.. I typed in “dressing” and all different kinds of dressings came up that weren’t Whole 30 approved. I couldn’t find any sort of option to filter the results to only include Whole 30 options. I feel like this app is basically a waste of time because after taking all the time to scroll through all the dressing recipes (trying to find the ones that are whole 30 approved), I might as well have just googled it. The last thing I am disappointed in, is that many food items that I look up apparently “can’t be found” in the system or something, even when I manually type it the number. Also, the barcode scanner doesn’t always work. Sometimes it says “no barcode detected”. Overall I’m pretty disappointed that this cost $2.99 considering what I got, and of course, the fact that there are advertisements.

Essentially just a product barcode scanner. While the daily affirmations are helpful and accurate (“Day 4 you will likely feel hungover”), this app is mostly a product barcode scanner. So if you’re looking for recipes or an exhaustive list of approved foods, your best bet is Google. Overall, I am happy with this app and would purchase again.

I don’t have a back button. I just got this app to do my Whole30 and it’s super frustrating. I scan a product to see if it approved or not and then I have to close the app completely out to be able to scan another product. *have been instructed to swipe right or left to go back to screen. Worked one out of the 5 times when I scanned an items. Still not good :/

It’s okay, room for improvement. I’m just starting out and this is definitely better than nothing! But most of what I’m scanning isn’t in the database so I haven’t been able to rely on the barcode feature. (Trader Joe’s, for example) The barcode was my main reason for purchasing so in that regard I’m a little bummed. Some ideas: - I mostly shop at Trader Joe’s for whole30 and very few of the foods I scanned were in the database. An option for user submitted foods could help build the database? - I’d love a way to choose my landing page for when I open the app. At launch, it’s on the welcome page. Then I need to select the menu bar before I can get anywhere. - a counter or countdown on the app’s badge, or a widget, that shows what day you’re on would be cool! I think this app has real promise, especially if the barcode scanner works with significantly more food items

Waste of money. This app is a waste of money because all of the information can be easily found online. I love how the app connects you to an Instagram account. Like I didn’t need an app to do that, I was already following the app. Also what if you don’t have IG? I expected way more from this app and am hugely disappointed. I want a refund!

Updates. I think this is a great app, when it comes to scanning to see if items are approved, however as new foods come out or labels being updated I have found the app will not scan or stay item not found. How does the developer ensure the application is updated?

Not alway right. This app came in handy at the store and wasn’t sure about something- and saved time not having to read labels as much. That is, until half way through my whole 30 I realized it said things were approved that really aren’t. Larabars with vanilla extract aren’t allowed and the app says they are. ? Makes me wonder what else wasn’t right. I see now that’s a pretty basic no-no. Another thing is a lot of items aren’t in the database. It’s getting there, but needs better accuracy and time to build the database up.

Would be better if the barcode feature worked properly. Bought this app so I could scan items in the grocery store and literally everything I scan says it cannot be found. So I primarily use the recipe and ingredient search feature which are both solid. Worth the money but am rating it 3 stars because the feature I downloaded the app for doesn’t work.

Review. I was really excited about this app, kinda skeptical with spending 2.99 without a trial. But I hate that you can’t favorite a recipe and it will automatically add it to your shopping list. It just takes you to the whole 30 Instagram...I can do that on my own which was disappointing. Hopefully the scanner will be useful but reading some of the review who knows how good it will be.

Not worth the $. This app could use a creative design team. It’s very boring. Although you will get a rah rah message every day, if you recorded you start date. So much is needed here.... a page to track meal plans, what you’ve eaten, recipes you want to cook, a log as to how your feeling... there’s just a few ideas. Also, if you want to look at the recipes page, you better have an Instagram or this recipe “page” is useless because it takes you to an external link for IG!

Angry. Is there a way on this app to search recipes without having Instagram? I am assuming that your app is not selectively geared toward those with Instagram. I got this app for recipe ideas and now cannot figure out how to get recipes. Also, the scanner didn’t work with most of the foods at my grocery store. With all of your bad ratings, there is no way you have a 4.4 / 5 as your app suggests. I want a refund and there is not a place on your app purchase receipt in iTunes to get a refund. So I tried emailing and no one replied. I am really appalled that you treat your customers like this.

Good potential but lacking. I was so excited when I came across this app, as I just started the whole30 for the first time. Seeing as this isn’t a free app I had some higher expectations. When I go to use the barcode feature I’d say at least 50% of the items are recognize... and I’m talking popular items found at Costco or Trader Joe’s. How have these not been added to the list? I also scanned a barcode listed on a ranch dressing bottle made specifically for whole30 and it told me it wasn’t approved so it made me very weary of how accurate the results from the barcode scan even are. That being said, when a barcode is recognized, this app is a huge timesaver.

74 and using Whole 30. The concept is very functional for seniors interested in another approach to a healthy eating routine. The shopping list is best for me and clean eating: maintaining healthy numbers all around have been very helpful. Will continue endlessly.

Gave wrong info!. I scanned a creamer, Califia Better Half Coconut Cream & Almondmilk Vanilla. Your app said it’s approved. I TRUSTED it. My husband read the container after three days of using it and gave me the bad news. I double checked with my Keep Calm & Whole30 on group. Everyone and the admin said it is not approved and there is no official Whole30 app- that these apps are notoriously wrong! I WAS round 1day 21. I have to start over again. I’m very upset with myself and your app. Please give me my money back! I sent an email. This really mentally and emotionally messed with me.

Recipe & (unconnected) grocery functions are disappointing. Recipes are basically just a mobile version of the Skinnytaste website, so they take a long time to load with all the photos, ads, and pop ups. Along with that loses the one item I bought the app for - connectivity between the recipes and grocery list (there is none). You would think if the two were advertised in the same app then they would be connected, but I suppose I’ve learned my lesson on making assumptions. :-(

Pretty good app. Worth the $. Doesn’t have every commercial food but it’s very handy for those that it does have. I found it much easier to scan the barcode and see it on the screen them to try to read the tiny ingredient labels.

Very disappointed, wildly inaccurate. I purchased this app for the convenience of not having to check lists for approved ingredients and the ease of not having to google things. Well most of the stuff I’ve tried to scan and a few ingredients I’ve tried to look up (i.e. oat milk, seems common enough that should be on there) have not been on there. I was frustrated there, but then what actually caused me to come write the review is that there are things on here that are just wrong! I’d rather you have not listed an ingredient or a product than give an “approved” or “not approved” if it isn’t accurate! My example is cashew milk - I scanned different kinds (all unsweetened) at the store and each one said not approved. I remember reading that cashew milk was okay as long as it wasn’t sweetened so I started looking at the ingredients and searching each one on the app, on google, and looking at my list of approved ingredients and they were all fine! Google even has 7 websites saying these cashew milks are fine. Overall very disappointed, wish I could get my money back, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY you’re just going to have to google everything anyway

Waste of money!. If I could give no stars I would. I scanned over 20 items in the grocery store and it couldn’t recognize any of them. I finally tried a big name brand item and it still didn’t recognize it. This app obviously doesn’t work if you want to use the scanner. What a waste. Then I tried searching organic cauliflower just to see if anything would work and it didn’t even show up. This app is a scam! Google, which is free, can help you more than this app can.

Camera/Scanning issues. I love having the app to help me while I am working through my first whole30. However, the camera feature to scan bar codes is very touchy and does not scan things easily or all items. Very frustrating.

Great ingredient resource. The app it a moderate motivator, and a great ingredient resource, but should incorporate a food/exercise diary.

Can’t find products. Not a great app if you live out of the US. I can’t scan any products and the ingredients I can search is quite limiting. If you don’t live in America I wouldn’t waste your time with this app as the features that can be used in other countries aren’t worth it.

Tknx. It’s just so nice to have this app. Almost like an app on your side of the diet. It’s pretty boring for others to act enthusiastically about another’s eating habits

I think this app is terrible. If you live in Canada do NOT buy this stupid app. It doesn’t recognize any of the barcodes.

Don’t waste your $ Canadians - no refunds given. App has NO mention it only works if searching USA products (UPC barcodes that are FDA only approved). In short, Canadians are not welcome here and no refunds will be given. Top notch service!

Disappointed Canadian. I just down loaded the app, the two items I have tried to scan the bar code are not recognized by the USFD, that’s because it’s not an American product. It is geared towards the USA. Disappointed!

Perfect app for first time Whole30. I decided one day I was going to start Whole30 the next day and I was probably only able to do this because of this app. Love how user friendly it is. Would recommend to anyone who is considering Whole30!!! Thank you!

Not what expected. Save your money. This app is useless. I thought as a paid app it would have more uses and features vs simply looking up whether or not a food is whole 30 approved. Barcode Scanner did not work for me. Journal like adding a note. Not impressed.

US ONLY. I downloaded this app as it was highly recommended to use while doing whole30 but it only works in the US. DO NOT download if you live in Canada... why they create apps like this that don’t work for everyone is beyond me...

Crash. Keeps crashing not usable

Limited and Difficult to Navigate. I like being able to check ingredients, but have the following complaints: - It asks me to create an accounts but I cannot find the link to do that. - I cannot “favorite” recipes. - I cannot create a shopping list from favorite recipes. - The recipe search will not retain my guidelines (I only want to see Whole30 compliance recipes.)

Counter & Home Page Need Help. I downloaded this app mainly for the counter. It would be nice if it was personalized and showed on the home page. Words of encouragement, symptoms one might experience or some other info would be a bonus.. The scanning feature is a bonus.

Great for the most part. I’ve enjoyed this app. My only complaint is I haven’t been able to find all foods that I’ve searched for under compliant.

A nice tool.. Found this app on Round 1 day 7. Quite helpful! Not all bar codes are included for example store brands at Aldi and Trader Joe. In ingredient search chia missing.

Unimpressed and disappointed. I paid $3 for this app to help me along my whole 30 adventure. Needless to say I am completely unimpressed by this app. I mainly got it for the product search which has only produced results one out of many times I’ve used it. I so far cannot find a single reason to support the fact that this app cost me $3.00. I would probably find it equally as useless if it was free.

Disappointing. Super disappointing to find that this app does not go hand in hand with the whole 30 diet. It’s pretty misleading. A lot of foods say they are approved, when really they are not. The second issue is that the vast majority of barcodes are “unrecognizable” and won’t read. Waste of 2.99 if you ask me. I thought it would save some time from reading all the labels, but reading labels is a far better option.

Did I really just spend $2.99 for this?. I guess I’m used to the WW app where I scan something and it’s actually in the database. I just scanned 10 items and not one populated so I tried to enter manually- nope. Oh well, I bought it so I’ll hang onto it. Hopefully as time goes on the database will grow and the app will be more useful.

Ok app. I want to use his on both my iPad and iPhone but they are not syncing. Created a grocery list on my and and it did not syne with my phone. Frustrating. You have to be on Instagram to get the re ieps also which is ok since I am but difficult to get the re pies.

Love the app but ...... The app is very helpful when you quickly need to know what is whole 30 compliant. The scanner is awesome. However, I would love a good tracker that could help with portions too!!!!

Disappointing. There are SOOO MANY items that are “unable” to be found. For a paid app, I feel the database could be sooooo much better for both ingredients and barcodes. I have used a few “free” food tracker apps in the past and they are WAY better for finding info on grocery store items. It’s a shame, as this could be such a great tool for those really trying to stick to the Whole30.

Nope. Used the app for all of five minutes. It kept crashing as I was trying to look at recipes and was requiring that I log into an Instagram account (which I don’t have) in order to view a recipe. Not worth the money if it’s going to crash or not allow me to use certain features without divining up for an account I don’t want.

Not happy. Needs more.. I like the concept but it’s lacking a lot of foods/barcodes. I hope they update their database because most foods I have scanned are not in there. It’s only 2.99 so not to upset but it is frustrating that everything I have scanned is not in there. There must be a way to connect it to MyFitnessPal or something.

Sadly not impressed. UPDATE: the developers responded, the included the incorrect email address. I found the correct one by looking at other reviews, emailed them days ago and have heard nothing back. I scanned 5 items, none of them are on the app. So annoying. Wish they had a preview to see if the products you usually use are complaint. Sadly not impressed.

Ads?. I paid $3 for an app and there are still ads? I’m so confused. The app is great but the ads should totally be removed. Put out a free version if you want to serve ads to people I can’t be the first one to complain about this

I want my money back!. Let’s put it this way, this app is not worth the money. Three quarters of the items I scan or search do not come up. I bought it twice. One for myself and another one for my friend as a gift. We both have had bad experience. When we go to the supermarket we spend more time scanning and searching for the food than actually shopping. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

Database is terrible. 80% of the items I scanned were not found in their database, terrible app. This includes items sold at major stores like Costco or Winco foods, even BumbleBee tuna in water is not found. Save your money if your are thinking this app can help you find items that are compliant while shopping, it can't.

Love this app. This app is so helpful! Eating Whole Foods and to figure out what I can eat, I just type in the ingredient. Thanks for creating this app💕

Kinda disappointed. I was hoping this would be more helpful with guidance at the grocery store. When doing a package search I have a better chance of getting a message saying the app doesn’t recognize the barcode than I do getting the info I need.

Dont bother. For a paid app this is truly terrible. It crashes on me 2-3 times a day. The barcode scanner only works 50% of the time. The package search is not at all user friendly. I don’t care about the motivation but I do expect the app to actually work.

DO NOT BUY!!. Horrible App! I hate that I even had to give it one star. The barcode feature recognizes NOTHING! And when I typed in ingredients many of them were not in the database. Countdown feature did not work at all. Needs a lot of work. Looks like an app created in 2003. Poorly designed, not user friendly. Total waste of money and time!!

Disappointed. I would not recommend this app for doing whole 30. You can’t search menus. There is no way to add items in the ingredient list or product list to Your grocery list, you have to manually add them. I don’t seen any real benefit to the app and wish I didn’t spend $2.99 on it.

Needs broader product database. A lot of very common brands are not in this app. I paid for it to have the convenience of a scanner while shopping and half the stuff I scan isn’t in the system. Basic stuff.

Worst App Ever. The scanner doesn’t work at all. Everything I try to scan in the grocery stores says the barcode won’t read even if I scan name brand things. I want my money back. The recipe part just takes me to Instagram which is useless for me considering I already have instagram and I could have just done that myself for free. Waste of money. Worst app I have ever purchased and 100% disappointed.

Waste of my money. This app isn’t as helpful as I thought it would be and it isn’t always correct on compliant foods. I typed in Açaí and it didn’t have it in the log so it just says nothing. Even the daily count down is basically the same thing every day. I’m just calling it a wash and not using it any more. Rachelann Barkley

Food and ingredient database could be more robust. Don’t download for the package scanner. It didn’t have the first 10 things I scanned. The search function also missing a lot of foods I’m searching for. It will be most useful for more mainstream, whole food questions (eg cashews) and ingredients (eg citric acid).

Could be better. NOT BEFORE BUYING: Please please please update this app to scan in ALDI and Trader Joe’s products.. I was assuming these brands would be on the app. Very frustrating standing in the store and nothing comes up or it’s a completely different product. Not worth it to me since I shop there.

Needs improvement. Ingredient list and package search is useful. But the recipe database needs improvement. There are a lot of recipes but you need to comb through them to find the whole 30 complaint. Why not just narrow it down to whole 30 recipes after all that’s what the app implies is all about

No direction or information. The app was much better before. I preferred recipes being available vs now being directed to Instagram. It would also be nice to learn more about the whole30 through your app, considering it was not a free download. Overall it’s really not serving much of a purpose other than tell you approved and non approved foods.

Stopped recognizing barcodes. I noticed today the app stopped recognizing any barcodes, even ones it previously recognized. Please fix.

Compliant Products. I wish we had a list of compliant products and their locations

Was amazing but now.... This app was great with helping me scan ingredients to know what is approved or not. However, today it told me that little Debbie cakes, Doritos, and red wine are all approved. If only that were true. Hopefully the next update will fix whatever is going on.

Not worth paying for. I don’t know why I had to pay for the app if there are ads. It’s also odd that the adds are for fast food when this is a health app. I am not a fan of the app, it’s difficult to use and doesn’t help you set goals. I could google recipes for free. Save the 3$

Great. What a time saver- well worth the $$ I would have paid more. Hope they keep adding barcodes - no ALDI Grocery store barcodes yet

Inaccurate and unhelpful! Do not waste money on this!!!. The first two items I scanned were completely wrong. I scanned an enchilada sauce that contained wheat flour- it erroneously came up as APPROVED. I also scanned a curry sauce that contains lentils, which erroneously came up as APPROVED. The ingredient list of approved/not approved foods is far too short and basic. I emailed the developer and have not yet received a response. Asking for my money back- will update with what happens. Very disappointing purchase.

Better apps out there. Not worth the money. The built in recipes connect you straight to instagram - which is already free. The bar scanner is a nice feature when it works, but that’s all this app has to offer.

Frustrating. I want to like it but it makes my blood pressure rise like a biscuit (which I cannot have on the Whole 30.) Save your money, read the package label instead of trying to get the barcode scanner to actually work. App leaves much to be desired, not appealing, not user friendly.

Great Whole30 tool!. Love love the barcode search feature to ensure compliant food. Also love the motivation page for each day. So glad my daughter told me about this APP.

No ability to log food, and no recipes on app. This is basically just a search engine for “approved foods”. You can’t log your food or track any sort of progress. The recipe section on the menu just takes you to their Instagram page with recipes from other people. Not even a little bit worth the money.

Great App. I found this app very helpful. I recommend having it available when you are doing the Whole 30 Diet.

Has NO supermarket food to scan. Took this to the supermarket hoping it would help with brands for scanning and every single thing I scanned it couldn’t find. Including Heinz ketchup (which I know is not compliant, but how is that not in their database?). This is a huge waste of money. You’re better off googling from your smartphone. Save yourself the money. This app is a joke.

Wegmans. Wegmans is a popular grocery store in my area. I’m finding that their products are not recognized when using the scan feature.

I like it, makes shopping easier!. Thanks. It is not perfect, but is a great resource when shopping and easy to use. I am happy to see continuous improvements also. Thank you!!!!

Needs an update. For an app that I paid for, I would have hoped that it worked better. The scanner doesn’t scan all of the time, and when it does, a lot of things come up as not found

Nice to track days and check packages. I like that the app keeps up with my days and that I can check products for compliance. That being said, the messages are generic. Also, it would be great if you could put in your beginning weight and measurements for comparison after 30 days.

App needs more work. The idea is good, however it’s not ready to be used by people planning their whole 30 diet. The scanning option only recognizes about 30% of the items scanned. Not a big issue if it was a free app, but the fact that it isn’t free, makes it not worth it.

Limited content. This website is not very attractive and not very useful when searching items for the cost of purchasing the app. I have found more things on Pinterest than here

Missing some key components.. I’m very disappointed with how little this app has to offer (unless I’m missing something). I would love it if we were able to save the recipes right within the app, create our own weekly plans. I’m also unable to use the print feature for some reason. I do enjoy the variety of recipes though!

I can’t believe I paid for this.... I thought since it was a paid app, it was a tracking app to help keep track of what you eat on whole 30. If I knew it was just a search tool to see what’s approved or not I never would have paid it.

This app needs a serious grocery store update!. Visited my local Trader Joe’s and half of the items I scanned through the app were not found. It showed a totally different item. In my opinion, it’s not worth the $2.99 price. I feel like I wasted my money on a app that just tells me what day I’m on. I can easily go on the whole 30 web site and get a ton of information for FREE! Not worth it! This app should definitely be FREE!!

Not Great. While scanning bar codes, there are too many instances of regular types of items not appearing in the app. If they had a larger database of items, the app would be better. Don’t waste your money until they include more items.
