FRUSTRATING!!. I’m seriously thinking that the people that wrote the 5-star reviews work for Schwab. I opened an account alongside my Ameritrade account as the E-Minis are 20-50% amount if you day trade and are out by the end of the day. I’ll typically make 10+ trades a day (effortlessly with my other app) but Schwab would allow me to do 2 contracts for every 1. Unfortunately when there are so many errors and misquotes, it’s not worth it. I’ll keep my money in there for now but I’ll hold off on using the app until it’s come into this century!!! PAINFUL

Shame on Schwab. They’re one of the largest brokerages and they can’t even get their act together with this app. Broken for months now, can’t even load the page to login. Moving my funds to TD (even though Schwab owns them now). At least their app works!

Suddenly unable to login. After the recent update, the login page changed and now every attempt to login results in an “incorrect username/password” error (even though the same credentials using the Schwab Mobile app work just fine). What happened here? Schwab Street smart app on iPad works fine…

New update broke login. With 2.0.6 update App login became broken. Each time I open App it ask me to enter login and password and I don’t see any option to save it. FaceID login doesn’t supported anymore. Option just missed from app settings.

poor operation. Slow operation and poor user interface. It stopped opening (loading) out of the clear blue. I'm downloading and reinstalling to see if I can get it to work. I have Streetsmart Edge on my computer but I really need this app to work on my Iphone XR. It seems like I've had trouble since updating my Apple Version to IOS 15.4. CONFIRMED! After installing, removing, and reinstalling three times, this app will NO LONGER OPEN since my iPhone XR updated to IOS 15.4.

Has a long way to go. I recently migrated from Interactive Brokers to Schwab because I changed firms and I sorely miss IB’s mobile app. As an avid options trader, Schwab’s app is missing almost all the functionality a trader of spreads needs in the app. There’s no way to add spreads to watch lists, I can’t customize the watch lists, symbol Search is pitiful, commissions are easily 3-4x higher, and not to mention Schwab needs to update their margining system. My margin requirement tripled when I moved over. Anyone who wants to be an options trader should choose interactive brokers if they have that option.

Can’t log in since the last update. It’s been four weeks since I could log in. Just says “wrong password” even though I’m using a password manager and definitely am not getting the password wrong. No link to reset the password or log in any other way. The login screen almost looks like an error page… are there any active developers for this app or is it abandoned?

An awful experience. I rarely leave reviews, but the experience with StreetSmart Mobile is so awful that it warrants one. The application is nowhere as functional and useable as the mobile offerings from TD Ameritrade (thinkorswim) or IBKR (TWS). The graphs don’t support indicators. The trading ticket is very basic and doesn’t support more complex orders like one-triggers-OCO. And forget about tracking PnL correctly on Futures products. One hopes that Schwab wraps up the integration with TD Ameritrade soon, brings over thinkorswim to support their accounts, and nukes StreetSmart Mobile from orbit. PS: All of this is such a departure from the regular Schwab Mobile app, which is excellent for what it is meant to do.

Easy to trade but hard to use. The trading interface is good, has lots of powerful functions/tools. But it crashes a lot especially during the first 20min after maker opens. and Face ID no longer works…. very annoying.

Bad data feeds and always crashing. I’ve been using the app to trade futures and futures options. The data feed seems buggy as its giving incorrect prices for p&l purposes which could scare someone into thinking they’ve lost on certain futures positions. Needs massive improvement not just on the accuracy of their quotes but the stability of the app is just unreliable. I’ve had this app crash multiple times and to makes matters worse, it tends to hang up when trying to pull simple quotes. I hope Schwab fixes these bugs. The integration with optionxpress is now complete and the question comes whether or not they want to continue supporting the futures segment of their business.

TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED!!!. With a name like Charles Schwab a person would think that they would have produced a streamlined and beautiful app for everyone to use but this is anything but that!!! Horrible interface, login is clunky and the whole experience is frustrating. I really do wish that they put more time and effort into quality apps for us to use!

Managed expectations. The app works well enough for my situation. I only use the app for order entry . One major improvement would be a dark mode! It’s all white, at 5am with screen brightness all the way down.... ouch .

Was good until update recently. I’ve been using this app for about a year now and it’s been good. Recently they took away the Face ID login and it doesn’t stay logged in if you ever away from the app. Makes it annoying having to log in every single time. Gotta find a different app to trade now.

Unable to Login. This app is the worst. Does not let me login at all on the mobile app or a mobile web browser. I am able to login with the same credentials on schwab app and also into streetsmart central on a desktop web browser

Does the job!. No issues, I can quickly enter and exit a trade, check charts and my account.

Disgracefully bad app. This app is pathetically bad - I have lost thousands of dollars in poor/sluggish execution due to it messing up my trades or requiring me to re-enter them. Aside from its labyrinthine design and poor execution, the user interface is horrifically ugly and dated - evoking late 90’s internet platforms. I’m not sure what kind of customer this app is made for, because it doesn’t suit anyone. Having a product like this is surprising and embarrassing for a company like Schwab which emphasizes good customer experience.

Unusable at market open. Overall, it’s a solid app that is easy to use but it frequently is unusable at market open. Nothing but error messages, connection problems and spinning wheels. A good platform on the desktop but infuriating when attempting to trade the market open - which basically makes the whole app unusable because it’s not available for the heaviest trade part of the day. Completely unacceptable in 2019.

Barely useful. Basic function - trading futures- is ok, even though it is slow, and you can’t set “One triggers two” exit strategy. Also, FaceID is no longer working - it is enabled in my app, but every time I launch the app, I have to enter login/password to login.

Interface too dark. They recently updated this app to have a new dark look with a black background, and it feels impossible to clearly see everything. It shows the daily loss or gain, but it’s really hard to figure out how much each stock has made from the start.

Schwab’s Audience .... I have for a short time used CW’s website, street smart app and the Schwab app, all three are not in my opinion active trader friendly. I think Schwab is looking for more casual/less frequent traders. ThinkOrSwim is light years better than this. Don’t even try to get a good entry through the website it takes forever just to enter a bid. I’ll be moving to another broker soon, hopefully these guys work their backend to work with TOS. In my opinion their software presents to much risk in just executing a trade.

Worse active trader app. So many issues can’t even name them all here. From (just recently) disabling FaceID logins to missing options pricing quotes to inability to roll basic spreads….just a garbage app. I’ve been with Schwab for over 20 years but have moved all my assets between TastyTrade and IB. Only keeping basic checking account on Schwab only because I’m too lazy to change all my Billpay’s right now.

Ok. It’s OK. I wish it had face ID login option instead of manual pw each time it times out. Looking forward to when Schwab’s brokerage accounts have access to ToS which has a great mobile app. This app is better than nothing when on the go though

Terrible. Use interactive brokers. Awful. Data stream is choppy. App constantly has bugs pulling up contracts. Fill notifications are late. Frankly I am going to pull money from Schwab. So sick of this trash application crashing constantly and not allowing me to enter trades. They have had long enough to figure it out

Just waiting on Charles to upgrade :/. Charles schwab company should hire more developers to get this app running to top efficiency. To the guys that are working on the app and it’s problem keep going I’m not talking junk about you . What I don’t like is how I can’t even access this for my mobile and just reading these reviews I am kinda glad I can’t do I won’t get the wrong data or delayed data . Please fix I kinda like this corporation!

Not available for Schwab customers. I rarely rate apps on anything but functionality, but I’m making an exception because of the branding. Why would they give this the same name as StreetSmart Edge and then not let customers who have access to that use this? Change the name or let us use it. Very frustrating.

Can’t even log in for the last few weeks. Called customer service but they said they know it will not work; but they don’t know when or if it will Be repaired. Totally unusable now. Maybe they are switching to think or swim? Probably should have made the switch long ago (they own TDA also).

Fails @ Login. As a Schwab customer, I expected the StreetSmart mobile to work. After submitting the user ID and password and hitting Login, next a message pops up regarding Forex, Futures and margin. After selecting OK in the message box, the password field is empty and has to be typed in again. After reentering the password, the message box appears again. It’s a constant circle that never resolves, blocking any ability to actually log in. Frustrated, I deleted the app.

Easily Intuitive Interface. Highly recommend having a Schwab Tech support person talk you through the set up. Once they point how how easy it is, you won't be frustrated. I love it from Day One. Much better than Think Or Swim for a new trader.

Best place to trade futures options. This is the best place to trade futures options in real time. Hands down the best at what it does. In terms of prettiness, it could be better. The all in one trading ticket is hands down the best in the industry for futures options.

Can’t use app without futures on your account. I don’t trade futures, but I do trade options, and that is a nightmare to do on the basic Schwab app. I thought I would give this app a whirl, but it won’t even let me sign in if I don’t have futures access on my accounts. I shouldn’t have to apply to add futures to my existing accounts just to have access to a decent trading app. Not everyone can sit at their computer all day to scan for trade opportunities, and the basic app is garbage for trading. Maybe slowly fading my money out of Schwab and into another institution isn’t such a bad idea after all.

Don’t waste your time. Go to TOS. Shocked that Schwab doesn’t offer a better mobile experience for frequent traders. Just go to Think or Swim and don’t look back. Too many features missing to even type them all. Sooo many extra clicks required to do one simple task, or to monitor your positions In Real time. If you make more than a few trades a day, stay away! Here’s a few: -No pull down refresh on positions page, also doesn’t live refresh -No life refresh. Period. Even on a live order your submitting. Has the quote significant changed in the last 10 seconds since you decided to create this order? You’ll never know. I would never submit a market order on this app. You have no idea what your price will be. -Few links to anything to do research from an order, including options chains from a live order -No push notifications for trades?!? What is this 2010? -Manual login now required each time with no remember me or FaceTime option?!?

Downloaded and won’t open. I open and the app and get the white screen of death. Nothing, not even a logo!! Why doesn’t Schwab care about the Mobile experience??? Mind blowing, I’m sure they are losing tons of potential business to other companies with great mobile platforms!!

They broke Face ID. If the goal is to have more security, Schwab is going in reverse. I am considering changing my Schwab password to something less complex because I trade futures and have to use this app when away from my PC. This app is unusable with a complex password that has to be entered each time I use the app. Also, it gives an error when trying to use iOS keychain to log in. What’s the deal with that? Come on Schwab. This could be costing your customers money every day it stays broken! Your programmers should be working around the clock to get this fixed, if they are not already!

Terrible app. Schwab gets just about nothing right with this app. They even managed in typical Schwab fashion to “upgrade” the app which made it worse. The latest update removed remember my login and Face ID login. Both of which worked before the “upgrade”.

Cannot use with cash account?. Apparently one can only use this app with margin/futures account. If you have a cash account only you won’t even be able to open it. That’s absurd, Schwab needs a decent all around mobile trading app...

Misleading app. Based on the name, you’d think it’s a mobile version of the desktop Street Smart software, right? Instead, it’s an unrelated options-only program that doesn’t even work until you call tech support to get signed up, and provides little of the same functionality as Street Smart. Which is also the name of this mobile app.

Miles Behind the Actual Schwab App. With all of its money Schwab still has not updated this app to make it more user friendly? It’s so annoying and confusing to use. It’s organization seems like it was created to intentionally be confusing and give you adhd. I love the Schwab mobile app, and I hate the street smart app but for some reason they only let you do REAL trading on this app or their website. Thus reforming this needs to be a priority!

very slow, not as buggy as the previous opx app.. update: why is the position screen using the wash sale cost base? it makes it so confusing. I have no idea if my current position is in the black or not, unless I subtract the cost from previous transaction. lowering it back to 2 stars. *streaming data is working now. * *performance has improved but watch list is still not usable* I am using it everyday. It’s getting there. needs too many clicks to navigate. It is a little bit more stable than the previous optionsxpress app.

Broken login. Wanted a mobile version of SSE for a while. Unfortunately, my normal login credentials don’t work on the app like they do on my desktop. Totally unusable as is. The ability to log into ones account is essential for the app to even work. Zero stars till fixed.

App developers? NOT!!. The App developers should be embarrassed of themselves for creating something that doesn’t even operate. First it was, you can’t use Face ID log in and now you can’t even log in after the fact your input username/password. Just gives you time clock but never logs in….message to app developers, quit and go do something else, you are not fit for this task. Garbage App!

Misleading app name. This apparently is not a mobile version of StreetSmart Edge. I was excited to be able to use my mobile device to access my conditional trades… but surprise, when trying to login I get a puzzling message and can’t login. After wasting time I discover this is apparently a different, or limited, trading platform than StreetSmart Edge. Poor app description.

How long do we have to wait for you to fix the password problem?. Seriously, this is incredible… We wait for updates, update comes through stating bug fixes but here we are… Please fix the sign in so we can use our correct passwords in the Apple system password manager…I know the username/password is correct because it works with the Schwab app and through Safari…. Please…

Even worse than it was before. I use Street Smart Edge daily as I trade options, stocks and futures and I have been a schwab customer for many years. Now, Schwab came up with a new “update” which requires that I manually type in my password each time. Previously, I was able to use my FaceID and Apple Keychain to save my password. Now, I have to manually copy my password and paste it into the Password field. This ads extra clicks for me. Schwab is awful. If anyone thinks otherwise, you are wrong. I am moving over to Tastyworks at the beginning of the new year.

So far so good. I typically use a desktop to trade and cell phone to monitor positions. I didn’t know this app existed, but when I wanted to see futures the regular Schwab app required me to install this. I typically don’t I stall apps with this many negative reviews, but I noticed most of them were years old. As I have only used it a day, I don’t have a total picture but I have traded on it without it crashing, used charts, looked up options, moved between several different accounts and so far, so good. If it becomes unreliable, I wil update the review. Otherwise, feel sure that I am still enjoying it.

Investor. This is a miserable app and one about which Schwab should be ashamed! It seems to have the same deficiencies described years ago. I would most notably mention the fact that the streaming frequently freezes, potentially leading a user to believe that a price is stable when, in fact, it may be increasing or decreasing dramatically! It should be withdrawn.

Awful ! Crush frequently and display prices randomly. It’s definitely gone from Ok to unusable since optionxpress transfer. App loads slow, crush frequently and display prices randomly! How is this acceptable for a financial application with it’s size is beyond me. Just the last 2-3 days, I have submitted at least 5 app crush reports.

Face ID no longer works. Slightly irritated that Face ID does not work anymore. It also doesn’t keep an updated version of your amount in your bank like the Charles Schwab app. If your money in the app ready to use gets swept into a sweep fund Streetsmart will no longer let you use that income. Please update problems.

Long time customer. I have been using Charles Schwab since 1998 and I am totally satisfied with the professional service. And when I have any service questions or need assistance on the phone they actually answer the phone immediately and that means the world to me. Awesome service. I recommend Charles Schwab to all of my family and friends. They are the absolute best and safest company to do business with. Keep up the great work Schwab. And Thank You so much for being the best. That there is no fingerprint or face login tells you everything. This platform is so out of date. It's such an embarrassment to a company like Schwab. What is it, do they not think they're gonna be in business in two years so they don't have to invest in their platforms? Really makes you wonder...

Doesn’t add up!. Have been monitoring my positions...options prices are streamed nicely but spreads don’t total correctly and/or refresh. I really like the positions display because it groups all strategy options together as such but needs to title that grouping with the underlying stock. Also wish desktop version had this display format. Still not totaling options correctly. Guess it’s not important to them. Will be using the app for gross figures but not a valid trading platform.

No Face ID LOGIN. The latest version has disabled Face ID login which is VERY annoying !!!! Have to input password to login every time !!!

Login Page. Seriously - updated the app - only to realise you’ve gone back in time on the login page. Please update the login page with FaceID options.

Please bring back Face ID login. Having to enter username and password every time is ridiculous. Have any of your developers tried using the app themselves?

Login page changed for the worse. Please bring back the old login page with the Touch ID login option. Having to type my user name and password each time is so backward.

Invalid Login/Password. The app fails to recognise my login and says “invalid login ID or password”, even though the same username and password can be used to login on the website.

This app is not compatible with iOS 15.4. Schwab app issue # 31736. It was told that the developer is working on it.

Trader. What a rubbish app! I don’t know how this company is still in business if they write this kind of mobile apps for trading. Very backwards on everything- from the login screen to displaying p&l for you trades. Worse of all, they completely ignore customers’s feedback.

Now totally broken with IOS 15.4 ☹️☹️☹️☹️. Was already horrible with the removal of all the biometric logon functions that many others have mentioned. Now totally broken with latest IOS 15.4 update. Hangs on the initial Schwab splash screen. Tried deleting and reinstalling to no avail. I think I will change brokers as a result of this crapware.

More than a year without a fix. Seems customer feedback and reviews are not taken into account. Still no fix for the ancient login process

No longer reliable for trading. Checking accounts is now tedious with removal of FaceID login. Also does not populate login from password managers like 1Password. Glad I have sold most of my shares. Makes closing my accounts easy. Why would one trust them to manage my assets, or to be able to handle my orders when liquidity gets tight, when they cannot get such a simple “upgrade” correct.

Application is totally broken.. As the previous review said, no more biometric authentication and now with the upgrade to IOS 15.4, the app won’t even logon anymore. Please fix this !!!

It doesn’t work anymore. What in the world have you done with the app update. It’s doesn’t work anymore at all. Nothing loads.

Touch ID and the Login page!. Touch ID function is not supported for iphone. The App is not launching the Login page! Is this app not supported anymore?

Now its even worst. App was really basic and kept on crashing, it barely works to trade. Now its even worst as Face ID feature was disabled, it takes forever to login and to execute trades.

The Best They Could Do ? 🤦🏻‍♂️. Was hoping to use this for some informed trading, but....Only portrait, no landscape views! I’ll stay with access from my iPad via safari or their basic app. And that is way too basic.

Login problems. Upgraded from iPhone 8+ to 13. Unable to log in. I get Incorrect user ID or password. Tried reloading app, powering down my phone, using prior passwords.

Needs bugs fixed. Generally I like the app but it has had some bugs with the price selector that make it unusable for me. Needs work.

Delayed. Delayed. Delayed.. Imagine preparing for a pitch after the pitcher has already thrown the ball. Imagine choosing a play for first down only to find out later it was fourth down. This app is blindfolding you. Please do not use for investing!!

2009 technology. This app is terrible, freezes, spinning blue circle at every step. Your gonna loose money trying to trade with this. Complete garbage you will lose 25% waiting for it to refresh.

Face ID. Face ID was working up until about three weeks ago now I don’t even use this app because who wants to login every single time.. come on Schwab get with the program!!! Hire some real developers!!

Face ID Login. Why did you get rid of the Face ID login in the latest update? I mean the app is already bad enough, don’t need to make it worse.

Doesn’t Support StreetSmart Edge Users. I have a schwab account and use StreetSmart Edge, but this StreetSmart mobile version currently says available only for former optionsXpress clients. Useless app until they update it to be widely available.

No way to log in. After being updated to iOS 15.4, there’s no way to log in. This app is a joke!

Clicking price switches order type. Three times now I’ve been in a frenzy to get out of a position. Clicking the bid or ask price changes your order type very subtly. So I think I’m selling and all of a sudden I doubled my position. F$&@

Horrendous. App is living in 1998. No real time position monitoring, no face ID login to make it faster to trade, just not an intuitive app coming from one of the largest institutions. Absolutely awful

Last update broke logins. Update around Dec 2021 made it so you have to type your password and it no longer supports faceid password or password manager auto fills. Terrible removal of features with no notice. Lots of random crashes during trading and viewing the poor charts. It’s like they don’t want you to use this. common. I pay a lot of option fees for a reason.

Not a replacement for Ameritrade app. Back amd forth 5 times with Schwab support only to be informed this app is for futures trading only. Can’t express how poorly Schwab handled the migration of Ameritrade clients. Why couldnt we keep the Ameritrade app if Schwab had no equivilent?

Needs a lot of work. Charts are very bad. You can’t see the daily range of the day I.e open high low close from the charts, and some of the charts especially the currency futures charts are totally inaccurate. My suggestion is to look at td ameritrade and model your app after them.

Complete crap. It is useless. Crashes nearly every time you use it. Needs major IT help to bring up to standard.

Latest update breaks login. It says user or password incorrect, but they are not. I have been independently verified.

Frustrating!. The transition to Schwab made this former OptionsXpress less usable. Very slow, unstable and a dated look and feel. Needs a major update!

Complete app failure. App worked fine until last week. Now, after IOS upgrade to 15.4, the app opens to a blank page, failing load anything. It has become worthless.

What about Schwab users?. As a Schwab bank account and brokerage customer, I wish this Schwab product was available to me. The Schwab banking app itself is not built for trading, so would be nice if this Schwab app actually let Schwab customers in. Boooooooooo.

Unstable and Clunky. This is the only Schwab iOS app to trade futures. Multiple clumsy steps to get option quotes. Crashed a few times. Difficult to compare option strikes. Placing a limit order was clumsy especially with a volatile security. The missed position entries and exits are not worth it. This whole app should be scrapped.

Wish this was a better review. This app needs a whole new face lift, nothing about it is attractive or even arranged for easy analysis. Please remake this app with user friendly viewing and better menu.

Terrible. I’m very much looking forward to the TD/Schwab merger and hopefully gaining access to TOS. Streetsmart mobile is the worst platform for trading. Clunky UI terrible UX. Nothing is made easy and quick and that’s what you need when trading short term.

What happened to iOS fingerprint or faceid login. Seems silly to still have to login manually when the purpose of iPhone is fingerprint or faceid login. Why did it go away, can u please put it back. I’d trade more often for one.

Missing basic info. Please add a way to see history. If it’s there already, it’s not obvious. Also, would be nice to see ex-dividend date somewhere when drilling down into a symbol. Important when trading options.

Why on App store. How did this app get approved by apples app store - I t simply no longer works. I worked in iTunes and I thought this type of thing would get rejected for submission to the store

App crashes all the time. Too many times to count. Function wise is pretty good.

It's faster to call the brokerage to make trades. I can't believe this is the premier app for trading on Schwab. Great broker, horrible app. You are guaranteed to miss entries because of how slow the app is and how long it takes to even load the quotes let alone make the trade.

New version is unusable. New version now requires you to enter credentials and VIP token each time you open it. No longer supports Face ID or remembering login credentials. Makes it a pain to use. Why the change?

No face ID or Saving Password. Seriously, how does an app from such a large company go backwards where the login page is akin from something like 10 years ago- ask Schwab

Streetsmart crashes often, not sane as before. Very disappointed.. Very annoying. I have to load often because it crashes often.

Always Crashing / Bad For Futures. This app is always crashing and when you’re trading futures that can cost you huge. Schwab needs to redo this app ASAP or I will be moving my account elsewhere.

Still can’t login. Been 2 months now that the app won’t allow me to log in. Absolutely ridiculous that a company this large can’t put out a phone app that works. Need to go back to Different brokerage.

Inoperable. When it’s available it’s among the worst mobile trading apps of any major brokerage. It’s been inoperable for the last 5 days with no message or emails from Schwab.

Face ID issue. Since the last update it’s no longer allowing face ID and is not saving the password and user ID. I have to enter it every single time I login

Really?. This is 2010 trading app. Schwab main app way better but need this for futures. Schwab what’s the deal? At least add facial rec to open account… still probably wouldn’t use it

Too many bugs, no support anymore. Feels like after they announced merger with TD - they just stopped supporting the mobile app. Even face ID doesn’t even work. Total crap

Bid/offer spread will go up to take advantage of you.. The app “seems” to remember your positions and intentionally/conveniently using bid/offer spread to hurt your p/l. I demanded a formal confirmation that this is not the case and the response is laughable - “please refer our app legal agreement for more info.”

Can’t login. I can’t login using the credentials for the web version. iPad and iPhone app version of Street Smart do not accept my credentials.

Good promise. I don’t get why Schwab markets this service on their public pages without addressing eligibility. Poor form. I like the idea. Please open to all Schwab brokerage accounts, or at least provide a way to opt-in!

BEWARE!!!. They will steal your money! Their app is broken and when you lose thousands they’ll give you a run around for months just go then give you a measly couple hundred dollars back. Use anything but Schwab

Piece of Junk. This app used to be average. Now it’s horrible. Takes forever to load and the user interface is very bad. App is extremely buggy. I trade primarily from my phone. This app is so bad I’m considering closing my account.

App buggy. Can’t log in some times. Really unreliable. Find another platform.

Over a week still no update. After how horribly the app used to work, for it to just fail to load entirely on 15.4 is unsurprising, but disappointing nonetheless. Does the dev team (is it even a team?) have any point of contact?
