I love this game. This game is amazing. Good performance, great gameplay, many laughs, and so fourth. I never thought this game would be cheap as 15$. This game is not too simple nor hard to master making these game great for many audiences. I love the sandbox and campaign implemented in the game. It’s very hard to hate this game. The only downsides are very minor. Like cars running “down” people, builders and teamsters sometimes(but rarely) taking too long to get to work, and some other minor things. I wish Feral Interactive Ltd would add in more options to building and government policies. Again 5/5, would recommend.

Expensive Splash Screen. If your experience is anything like mine, you will end up paying over 10 bucks for a picture of a El Presidente. I have deleted and redownloaded the app and sat waiting for the game to load for several minutes and nothing happens. I'm experiencing this issue on the 2018 iPad Pro which should run the game fine. I would highly suggest not purchasing this until an update is released that includes the ability to do anything the app is supposed to be able to do. If you're into staring at a single picture of El Presidente then the app is excellent, 5 stars, you should definitely download this.

A REAL iOS Game. I just bought and downloaded and played a bit, awesome game and wanted to throw my support towards the developer for releasing a REAL game on iOS. Wish tons of people buy this to show support for these kinds of full games on iOS. Knights of the Old Republic is another great port if you want a full game experience without annoying micro transactions, etc. Keep up the great work!

Excellent game, needs a few things fixed and add. The game was fantastic when I got it and when kept playing I found soem thigns that was hard for me to overcome, for example their were to many unemployed buildings and I clearly had enough people, and mabye add a endless mode and do a few like dual island maps and mabye a few three island maps if they want to, other wise great game!

Finally!!! Amazing game, but has a bug.... Absolutely amazing game. I’ve been waiting for yeeears for a Tropico game on iOS.. The devs have delivered and I’m having a blast with it. Graphics are amazing, gameplay is smooth, controls are spot on perfect and contains no in-app purchases. Between this and Civ 6 I’m good with games for while. There is a bug that’s pretty irritating though. It’s happened already twice, but with the second I noticed exactly when it happens. When I receive a call and it comes through my iPad; when I go back to the game the audio speeds up by 10x. The narrating, music etc. I have to completely close the game and open it again in order for it to get back to normal. Aside from this the game is phenomenal and a ton of fun. I cannot wait for it to come out on iPhone with iCloud support (fingers crossed) so that I can dive into this gem anytime anywhere. Thanks dev so much for bringing this to iPads. Great work. Hopefully DLC’s will arrive in the future with support as well.

Wish there was more!. I loved this! I’ve played all the islands and I’m wishing there was more. Sandbox mode is ok but it’s not the same. This game could be big as a mobile game if the base price was dropped, but added more content you could unlock for more money. It’s worth it, anyone who’s played it knows it’s worth the money. I just wish it wasn’t over.

Great Game!!. I have only played this game for a couple days but I am loving it! I play on my phone but will probably move it to my ipad for the bigger screen. If possible I think this game would be great PC/Mac if it isn’t already. I think it’s better than SimCity. Slightly different concept but better than SimCity in many ways.

My favourite game, and no IAP! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. My favourite game has finally come to the iPad, and the best part is that it has no in-app purchases! Honestly even though I’ve loved the Mac version of this game for years, I wouldn’t have bought the iPad version if it were the IAP kind of game. The UI and road-laying could use some improvements, but I haven’t encountered any lags or bugs on my first-gen 12.9” iPad Pro, and I’m very happy with it. Well worth the price!

Great until it crashes half way through. Love this game but it crashed halfway through my first two games and deleted all my saved data when doing so. So be prepared to invest several hours in this game all to unexpectedly have it crash and delete everything before you can finish. It happened during both times during an auto save. Also crashed when I tried to manually save my game and deleted the file. Ridiculous

The Experience I expected!. UPDATE!: My iOS must have been bewitched or haunted (All Hallows Eve is coming after all...!) After deleting/reinstalling the app twice with no change. Rebooting my iPad numerous times, nothing made any difference. It was like I was trying to run Tropico on an old, underpowered, home built PC. I intended on deleting Tropico and forgot too. The next day (?) I saw Tropic’s icon and was ready to remove it. I decided to try it one last time. Everything is working perfectly! Not asking any questions, only playing! I started around 11pm and the next thing I knew, it was 4:30am! LOL. World building should be so easy in the SimCity app. —————- First startup, after the Kalypso graphics, just a black screen with music. Restart game and get further but the graphics freezes and the music keeps playing. The third attempt to play Tropico the graphics stutters and freezes like the old PC days but keeps moving on. The graphics are fuzzy, like looking through a haze of smoke. Tutorial is buggy. Says, select a citizen. It took almost 5 minutes to find anyone. Then it turns night and is raining. Can’t find anybody again. Finally, I find a woman. Select her and then the Tutorial says to select “?”. Nothing. Tried again, no response. Thank you for bringing the PC problems with the game’s port to iOS. I am using the 1st Gen iPad Pro on iOS 12.3.1. I’m deleted Tropico as it is just plain terribly and wastes 2.5GB of memory! I’ll try and get a refund from Apple.

Awesome iOS adaptation!. I love Tropico on console and so I had to try this. It’s a very good adaptation with some minor changes for mobile. It works well and is a lot of fun. If you enjoy games like Tropico, cities skylines, or anything along those lines you will love this! It doesn’t have all the fine tuning and options as the console versions but it is an amazing adaptation for mobile!

I like the game but. I don’t like the layout idk a better layout on the spot but I’d definitely say I know it can have a better layout and for the designs of the buildings are from old Tropico game’s style why not the the current design in Tropico 6 or 5 but I own every Tropico game and this has my least favorite layout still like the game in general it’s just that, If I could see just one change it would be to have a layout that shows you the boundaries the farm would need as it has it in all the most modern Tropico’s

I’m so excited to be able to play Tropico again!. Tropico has always been one of my favorite computer games and I’ve had my fingers crossed that it would be available on my iPad. I’ve started playing and it’s as amazing as I remember and I’m so happy that it’s a one time purchase! I could not be more excited!!!

Great port dated game. I give this game a 5 star because feral deserves it for how well they did porting this over. The touch controls are great and the game runs buttery smooth on the latest iPad non pro. That being said it’s basically a port of Tropico 3 which with the recent pc release of tropico 6 is now starting to really show its age. Building selection is limit like it was in the original 3 and the lack of eras gives little to strive for once your economy is humming along. I do hope feral decides to make some dlc with additional buildings in the future. All that being said tropico has always filled a cool niche between city builder, island, economy, and dictator sim and feral deserves credit for taking a risk on porting this game to mobile, especially in this era of pay to win mobile gaming.

Love it! Just as enjoyable….. As the old sim city used to be! I wish that I could handoff between iPad and iPhone - would be nice to not always have to play on iPad and I’d like to go back to my city on my iPhone during breaks or waiting around.

DLC’s please??. I really appreciate y’all getting Tropico ported to the iPhone, I also would like if y’all can introduce or tease a DLC content either as a free update or a separate, either way it’ll definitely make Tropico even more grander. If by some ways y’all can bring some elements from Tropico 6 into this version of Tropico it’ll be awesome, & fun.

We need more games like this. In the age of micros transactions, pay to win, loot boxes, gems, gold bars, ugh - it feels like developers really want to make slot machines, not video games. Not the case with Tropico for iPad! This is a full Tropico game, not a slimmed down mobile version leaning on an established brand, but rather a fully featured demonstration of how strategy games like this are perfect for tablets. Price is great considering how much is here. Buy it, have a blast, and support great games like this!

Game is solid. Excellent Never made a review about something Like this The game is just like the original the only setback is the winky controls for me, kinda hard to place down roads but overall this game I would consider it a 5 Star although Idk if its me but I havent heard juanito throughout the gameplay, has the port forgotten our favorite TNT broadcaster?

Tropico on the Go. The best version of Tropico but on mobile. This is the full experience with some adjustments to make it work on iPad. I wish there was a better way to check what you need to do on the play screen instead of a different menu screen, but overall I’m content with what I have.

Fantastic mobile revitilization. I have some nostalgic memories of the Tropico series, and it’s great to see it back in full force and on the mobile platform. It’s a brilliant translation and there’s so much content here, it’s hard to believe it works so well. I can keep diving back in over the next few months and always have a solid drip feed of our favorite Presidente. Definitely one of the best games on the App Store, and one of the few sim devs to jump to mobile without getting greedy and over-monetizing (*cough* SimCity). If you like sim games at all, this is worth the money.

Love it. I really enjoy this games it gives you a lot of different challenges and keeps you focused it’s a great time passer, But one problem I always seem to have is the Starvation problem in my islands no matter how many farms, markets,or restaurants I add once my population goes over 100 citizens starvations starts to become a problem I thinking this problem could be solved by adding a system to manually manage how much you export or even import. This could also be an easier way to manage your economy since you’ll have control of how much you export As a cool feature you can add a building (a World Trade Center or something) that you have to buy in order to unlock the export/import management system

iPad (Pro)’s first good city-builder title!. This has quickly become my favorite game on my iPad Pro, and it makes what-should-have-already-been-obvious obvious in how to make the iPad a computer gaming device. I’ve really been hoping for a city builder in the vein of SimCity without a handicapped interface, without in-app purchases, without free-to-wait timers…and they really did it. This really is the actual experience that we grew up with, but on today’s platform. EA really ought to notice…but they won’t. They’re too busy turning our childhood franchises into casino machines. If this is a harbinger of things to come from Feral, I can’t wait to see what’s next! I’d personally have paid twice as much for such a good game.

One of the best games for the iPad.. I previously wrote a bad review due to battery life but that problem seems to be fixed. This is one of the best games in the App Store. Works flawlessly on my iPad Pro 11”. Feral hit a home run with Rome: Total War and it seems that they did it with this one too. I really really hope to see Medieval 2: Total War, Empire: Total War and Anno 1701/Dawn of Discovery in the App Store one day.

Suggestion for Feral (Tropico Team). I’ve been playing this game for a while on the Ipad, so far it is pretty good I have to admit, but what I will say is that you should add at least slightly better graphics to give it a smoother texture. (Not that it is bad right now) It should be on the settings page for how you want to customize your game. This way you can optimize battery consumption. (By the way, so far my battery has been great with this game) 🔆Try to make the game like the new version coming out Tropico 6. Instead of 3, if your on a budget at least 5.🔆 Another suggestion is to add more content. Now I understand adding content is costly. So, just like you did on pc and Xbox, you should put a price on it. Not too much, or else no will buy it. If you can pull it off and make this version of the game like the upcoming Tropico 6 I am almost 99.9% sure that a lot of people would have a change of heart. You should also add more merengue or Music. This way the same songs don’t repeat them selves to much. If you a customer looking to see if you want Tropico. I highly recommend it.

Would be 5 stars if not for the crashing. This game is great, the road building needs to be more intuitive, but after you’ve had your entire game save wiped out from a crash it gets frustrating to play. I can’t even count the times I’ve been close to beating a level and have the game crash with no way to recover.

The only game I play. It’s the only game I play every day. The amount of different successes and failures is amazing. I’ve never mimicked the same scenario twice. I gave it a five star for that reason, graphics are amazing, and the overall value is great. However, there hasn’t been any updates for awhile and it would be nice to get some more options with buildings or update a newer timeline. Tropico has a great console game lineup, would love to see some love given to iOS gamers

Excellent adaptation for iPad. This has become one of, if not my favorite games on iPad. If you are into simulation city builders this is a must own. The graphics are console quality and the touch controls are spot on. It is a rarity when a PC game comes to iOS and you are not hindered by touch controls. If anything, I feel they enhance this game. The game play is fun and there is a lot of replay value here. I have read a lot about crashing and losing saved game data but I have not experienced any of this. I am playing on a brand new iPad Pro 12.9” with the A12x chip so this may have something to do with it. Also, recent updates are aimed at these issues. The only issue I see is battery drain. If I am playing for longer than 30 minutes I will usually have to plug my iPad into power but this is to be expected with such a graphics intense game. I am pretty surprised they were able to pull this off at all (although I shouldn’t be after seeing what Feral Interactive has done with Tomb Raider on Mac). Great job bringing excellent games to Mac and iOS. Can’t wait to see what is next!

Very good game!. To start off this is a great game, The graphics are phenomenal and the details, don't even get me started they are soo good there is a literal donkey that moves in the teamster's office, that just goes to show that they put tiny details that no one might see but still put them there! But as with any great game, there are some things that can be added, the first being... Moving buildings! it may just be me but I can not move them and it would be so good to be able to! The second, mods! it would nice to be able to add mods to the game so that other ideas can be put in, the last thing I would like to see added is... more buildings and variations! such as more docks, airports, skyscrapers, shopping centers, and vehicles Ect. I hope you like my ideas please consider them, -bye :)

🏞Download now🌇 and thank yourself later!🏔. This is a must have for any city builder fan. Feral brought a classic game to the modern era the right way. They used all the bells and whistles the iPad has to offer to make the game run butter smooth. From the HD visual rework, the meticulously reworked on screen controls, and new features that were not in the older game. This is how you reboot a game that is perfect and to tell you the truth I consider the iPad version the superior to the older one. If you read this far then you are a true city builder fan and I assure you this is better than the original and is just as fun. Feral Thanks for a great game and more good memory to come because of your love of games. MacOS(iOS) for life. 🎮

This game is a blast!. Been playing this for hours today with no crashes, or excessive heating. I am ipad Pro 10.5”. It does seem to use alot of power because I kept it plugged in, yet it did drain the power 20%. Had a great time building my island economy. Went the strait way and attempted to be a good leader. But there are ways you can be an evil dictator, fixing elections, assassinating opposition leaders and protestors. While doing my very best to be a benevolent leader, humorous radio announcers pop in with their commentary about what a jerk I am. There are hilarious assistants who pipe in with their advice about how you are the most important, loving caring leader in the world. So if you like someone kissing up to you at all times, you’ll love it. The only problem I found was there are screens with quotations that pop up at the end of the year. Those pop up for a fraction of a second, so you cannot read them. Fix that and the game would be perfect. Though now, it’s pretty darn close. I would recommend this to people who like Prison Architect, Craft the World and other City Builder games.

Good Start. Let’s start with the bad first. The mini map of the island does not work at all it flickers. The farming in Tropico was never great in the Xbox editions of the game and this takes down a notch further. The farming should have been more like Tropico 1 from the original pc version of the game. This edition of Tropico has a problem with building new structures it’s at a incredibly slow speed even when time is moving fast. The population growth seems to be at a slow speed as well and don’t for the most part go school even if available. The economy in this Tropico is to easy I made money at a fast pace even with just a couple of coffee farms. Now for the Good This version of Tropico does have its faults but for being a first try it’s great and keeps the tradition of dictatorships alive. I did like Tropico 3 and this is as close to exact copy as one can get and it’s detail is fantastic. The future I hope that this game does well and we see a made for IPad Tropico come out I also hope to see the classics Tropico and other classic games like Railroad Tycoon. For my last note I would absolutely pay big bucks to see Tropico turn VR so I rule my Kitchen Table as my own Tropico.

Great Version. A great adaptation from the Steam version I own. Would love to see expansions, or new twists on El Presidente’s domain! This is one game that I own every release and look forward to more. I play the iPad version. Runs well on the Mini 5! Have other titles by Feral, and they’re all done well for iOS hardware!

Underrated. I loved the pc version so gave this a try. And I will tell you now this is the most underrated game in the App Store. I’m a huge strategy game player and this is the number 1 strategy game in the market. O and the visuals are mind blowing. Only problem I have is I can’t put it down.

Been wanting this game for a while now on iPad. Game runs flawlessly and is buttery smooth. So much fun if you’re looking for the Tropico experience. Does consume battery pretty fast and does make my iPad get a little warm but overall it’s not too bad in either area.

Good but needs work.. I have been playing Tropico since it came out on pc. Even played it on the xbox. I love the game. I would like to see some type of terrain tool. It can be very frustrating when i am trying to create a path though a mountain and I am unable to do so because of the angle of some sections. Also it would be great if i could start out with the flat map and create mountains where I want to instead of the preloaded maps with mountains.

Less than smooth controls. This game has so much potential but it’s sorely let down by mysteriously wobbly controls. Even basic camera navigation feels very flakey via touchscreen, too easy to suddenly find yourself flying away from the focus point, trying to tap on Tropicans, units and buildings is also very hit and miss, the hit boxes just don’t seem to be where you’re tapping half the time. It’s frustrating because you can tell that underneath the clunky controls this is a stellar game waiting to get out, it just needs that little bit of extra polish to shine.

Strategy???. I’ve played the game many times. I’ve completed campaigns but I have a few complaints... The game makes it’s own mind on how it’ll be played. I’ve set up several scenarios and the ticker still scrolls the same messages. I’ve had many scenarios where I’ve had several factories but there would still only be $4,000est. sitting on the docks! I’ve had a dock with over $40,000 then my finances fall off! I’ve had 10 farms and people still die of starvation! I’ve had 3 clinics and two hospitals but people still die of poor healthcare! I’ve “tested” this game and it has failed! I LOVE Tropico and I’d live to play in my travels (as I did in the very first game) but I don’t like being lied to! I don’t mind losing as long as its honest and not a pre-programmed outcome...

A Real Bargin. This is probably the best game I’ve encountered for my 32GB 5th Gen iPad. I’ve played about 12 hours over last 3 days, had 1 crash during first 15 min, answered Yes to Send Report message, zero problems since. Performance is fine on this model iPad - smooth graphics & sound, no freezes or stalls, good controls. Having never played other versions, I can’t compare gameplay, etc, but this version is great. It’s funny, challenging, relatively intuitive once you’ve played both tutorials, & I foresee LOTS of replayability. With Zero IAP,s I think Tropico is a real bargin. If you like this genre of gaming (or just want to show off capabilities of your iPad!), Tropico is a must-have app!

Finally - perfect for iPad Pro. Love this game! I’ve been waiting to find a true, full strategy game to play on my 2018 iPad Pro. This game is smooth, beautiful, and tons of fun. I hope other developers take note. Mobile gaming does NOT have to be a series of micro transactions and unlocking timers. Some of us are willing to pay for great games.

One kinda big flaw (for me). Before I mention the flaw, let me say that this is an awesome mobile game and well worth the $12 I spent on it. There’s just one thing missing that’s in the real Tropico 4-6 game that makes it fail to get 5*, and that is imports/trade routes!! In Tropico for PC you can make something similar to the US economy where you rely heavily on imports. Import food and metals and lumber etc, then turn right around and sell the final products for a profit. It’s hard to do, but it’s very possible. Just a natural end game progression of your island. Because this is gone, there’s only one real route to success.. you have to be able to produce the raw input materials on your island. Maybe hace a factory that can up the value of those materials, then export, export, export! Another flaw might be in the time limit, but we will see!

Great adaptation but keeps the worst of the source material. Kudos to Feral for another great PC port to iOS. This is basically Tropico 3 adapted for iOS. I would give it 5 stars if not for the following issues: 1. Everything is visually muted and dark, even in daytime. There should be more video settings sliders for brightness and gamma. 2. The original problem with construction builders acting worthless and spending 75% of their time not building has not been improved. This was a major fault in T3, corrected in later versions. 3. The need for garages for people to drive places remains in place. This was also a major fault in T3 and was greatly improved in later versions. 4. CPU / GPU use is so high it overheats my phone. Maybe this is normal for a PC port of this magnitude. Still, it would be great if there were a CPU throttle slider that trades processing power for fps or some other tradeoff. Again, great job Feral. If you can improve the above this will be a much improved game and I can give it the 5 stars it deserves.

Better than the original Tropico 3. I felt so siked when I learned there was an app for this game. Tropico 3 was my favorite Tropico game back in my gaming days and I was recently thinking about purchasing the game again for PC beforeI discovered the game was available in the App Store at a Walmart on an IPad. Purchased it immediately on my phone. The app makes a lot of improvements on the original game.

Fantastic port! Great additions. Feral have brought Trópico mobile! This is the classic game we all love but Feral have made some fantastic additions to ease gameplay and make the overall game more intuitive. These additions relate to things like making roads, adding upgrades to buildings, overall construction, overall demolishing and keeping the flow of your island nice and fine-tuned! The game has the same menus but the UI has been updated for ease of use on the iPad, while also allowing builders quick access to everything they need to keep their island growing! The addition of Architect Mode is amazing, and really makes building on the iPad easy and fun. The graphics have kept the older fun Haemimont style but Feral have added depth and saturation to the beautiful colors. This is exactly how you port an older game into the technology of 2018! Thank you, I’ve never clicked “BUY” faster 😁

Worth the price! One question, though. Help!. I was a big fan of the original Tropico game and was thrilled to pre-order this. This edition is wonderful in every way. One question, tho. How the heck do I hire foreigners to work at my schools and church and clinic before my educational system is established? Initially when I built the elementary school and high school, local teachers immediately began to teach there, but then they left. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Pricey but very fun.... I was looking for strategy games and this was one of the best strategy building games and was very highly rated. It is very fun but it does take a while to get a handle on all the controls and how to manage the budget. My main tip is if your between Total war and Tropico, Total War is more hands on and has strategic battles but Tropico is much more detailed on how to actually run a civilization.

Good job. Great game only thing I ask for is more content like let’s us choose to go to war or add to the story and maybe bridges can’t build roads underwater other then that hey this is by far above the curb on builder games and I love it really I play this game everyday all day when I’m off shot sometimes on the job lol I’m El Presidente!!!! Lol

Best. Game. Ever.. I played PC versions of this game for years, and it was always a favorite. When I bought the app, I was excited but not especially hopeful that it would match my previous experience. I could not have been more wrong! The game is the same challenging city-builder/strategy simulation it was before, but the attention to detail, the shockingly beautiful graphic production, the intuitive controls just make this a must-have. I’d have payed five times the price for this game and called it a bargain. Viva Presidente!

Exactly as the PC version. If you liked the PC version, then this is the game for you. It's got a few bugs, but I haven't noticed any. New iPad Pro 11". Does draw your battery down a little fast, but can play for how just like the original. Wanted to write this to show others is worth it if you liked and played the original. Good job.

Pleas Red developers!. This game is really Fun and I would recommend it But the controls is Hard for the view When I Ever want to go to a other View it gets Messes up and Can we Make things move like all the Things move since am new and just got it today I don’t know how to move things.

Great Game. Very fun to play, many different consideration to take in to be successful. However, while playing on iPhone my phone heats up quite a bit killing battery faster due to graphics requirements (iPhone 12 pro) is there a feature that can be added to scale down the requirements and optimize performance?

More Islands!. Have loved playing this game for years!.. was happily surprised recently with the new Postcards from Tropico missions that appeared!! 💪🥰👍 …. Just finished the last of them…. Theres 3 islands on that map with no title/mission?! … C’mon Mr and Mrs Feral!! I need my fix of more Tropico challenges!! 🙏🤩👍 🤔 maybe some different disaster types would be interesting? For those that have never played… give it a go! … it’s a good chill day game to relax with and watch your decisions help or hinder the population!

Awesome game to play on the communite. Good town building game that doesnt require internet or waiting days to build stuff or spending money or watching ads. The only annoying bit is the road building.

No in app purchasing - thank you!!!. I am so happy to play this excellent game and I don’t have to worry about not being able to play it to it’s full potential due to a payment model that drains your wallet. This awesome game is a one off payment. Thank you!!! It is so worth the money!!!

Great. Well worth the price. One of the best games on iPad.

A bug. Love the franchise and this is a fantastic addition. Problem I’m having is I cannot seem to get missions on the campaign map to register I have finished them. Second Chance and Industry Titan I have completed multiple times but will not show as complete preventing me from progressing to other maps. Would love this patched. Playing on IOS12 and iPhone XR

Help !!. Could you please help me with the game it looks really fun...but it’s also really hard and the advanced tutorial was not enough for me! If you can please give me a idea to base off. It’s a really good game but super hard... thanks!

It kept Crashing. Please feral I love the game but it started it crushing and I just ruined the experience please help I love the game but it keeps crushing

My new favourite iPad game!. An awesome game that looks amazing and runs perfectly (iPad Pro 9.7) Great work Feral Interactive!

I hope to support Chinese. I hope to support Chinese

Good fun. Great game, nice addition to the pc offering, and great to have something to play during lockdown :) and thank you to the developers for not having a clear up front price instead of silly and frustrating in-app purchases

Great!!. It was my fav when I was a child. I am very happy that I can play it again anywhere with my iPad. Thanks!

Great job feral. Fantastic job and well worth the $$. Always wanted this game on pc but for on the go this is perfect! Looking forward to more campaigns Chris

Amazing. Can’t thank you enough for not putting in app purchases in this game. You have earned my respect. Everything else about this game is just perfect.

No controller support. This game would be so much better if it had controller support

Great game. It is a really great game. However, right now no matter what I do my game stops working if I try to make roads and I can’t build anymore building. Even if the building is green indicating I can build something there.

Bug. Whenever I go into the building option, it just displays a red star at the near bottom right hand screen, and I cannot exit the building menu, build or even do anything except either eventually crashing, being forced to return into the game or just put into the main menu. I don’t know what’s going on, please fix this!

Amazing!. This game is absolutely amazing, the game play and UI/UX is so well thought out. It does lend itself to a bigger screen, but plays well on iPhone. One improvement opportunity is to enable game centre/ profile creation to enable game play across multiple devices

+60h of campaigns alone. I love the Tropico series and this doesn’t disappoint. It’s nearly the full experience and kept me thoroughly entertained for many many hours. How entertained? I’m currently in official quarantine and played this game nonstop. The campaign and expansion gave me about 8 days of game play, approx 8 - 12h per day! Total of 60h just in campaigns. I’m experienced at Tropico, so no learning curve...add learning curve and you have 70 - 80h of campaign PLUS sandbox mode. Great game, worth every cent. No ads and no DLC...you get all updates free!

True Tropico experience on a phone.. If you love Tropico on PC this is a very faithful port of the desktop experience. I very rarely enjoy mobile games but this has kept me hooked for hours at a time. Absolutely worth the asking price.

Anyone else had this?. Love this game. Just purchased on iPhone XS but cannot install, I have plenty of storage? Unsure what to do?

Awesome Game. Just like the PC version. Nice job getting this game on ipad

Amazing. Great game, no micro transactions which made me give it the full 5*

Epic and addictive. Not only a crazy fun game, but also a beautiful game with lush graphics that make me yearn for a tropical holiday. Worth every penny!

Crash, Crash, Crash. Ridiculous amount of crashes.

J’aime. Marche bien pour le moment réplique exacte de Tropico version pc ou Mac dure sur la pile mes vu Le jeux je comprends très bon jeux

Love this game but need a new one. Hey. I love this game but I’ve beat every game mode on every island. Sandbox too. I’ve generated every type of island. Won, lost, changed my dictator to hated, then loved. I’ve done everything this game has to offer. I’d really love Tropico 6 to come out for iOS. I’ll pay the same price or more for it

UNREAL. Can not put the game down

Glitchy and crashing. I love the game when it works but more often than not it freezes and glitches so I’ve had to reinstall it 3 times now... please fix it!!!

Plays well but missing some features. As someone who has played the series on the PC, I can honestly say this is a fairly good port to mobile. There are, however, some features missing in the mobile version: the lack of ability to upgrade the tenements and apartments with air conditioning to boost their housing score, is somewhat game breaking. One of the maps requires a happiness score of 65% or better, and this is simply not achievable without having the upgraded apartment buildings. Aside that, game plays well. Did think it was expensive given the age of the game, but I didn’t mind paying because of the replay ability.

Awesome game. This is my favourite game on the iPad.

Works good!. Restart your iPad if it freezes the first time you open it.

Tropico 3 on Mobile + DLC. Amazing! This is Tropico 3 but on mobile. Runs great and never has issues. The only issue I’m having is not being able to rebuild destroyed buildings by an earthquake like in the PC version. Worth spending the money

Qualité pc. Une culmination de tout les tropico, un contenu monstrueux. Draine la batterie rapidement mais il faut s’y attendre avec un jeu pareil. Adaptation parfaite pour ipad.

Oy. The roads are a pain but it’s Tropico

Crashes often. Good game, however it crashes so many times (every 15 minutes or less) that it’s becoming unplayable. I’ve removed and reinstalled several times to no noticeable change. Frustrating to say the least. UPDATE Worked through the problem with the developer. Noticeable improvement in playability.

Pirate Cove?. Please make Tropico 2 - Pirate Cove for iPad. I would dearly love to play that again. I enjoyed that more than the other Tropico games and would happily purchase that for iPad as well. Thank you!

Crash all the time. Crash all the time. Seriously this is bad. You get a notification or an alert and it crash. Or it simply crash when it feels like it.

It’s finally here!. I have always loved the Tropico series games. And I have wanted Tropico on iOS for years. And it is finally here. Exceptionally well done Feral.

Good graphics...complex and challenging, but.... How come that in 2019, such a title does not have icloud saving so you can play on mobile while on the bus and pick it up later at home on the ipad? So many smaller titles have this option by default... this is a major negative for me. Also it gets boring and repetitive in about 3-4hrs of game play! I would have expected more somehow?!

Works flawless on IPad.. Very fun game. It’s the full game. Works flawless on the iPad.

Awesome. Great game, runs great, really good for killing time!

AWESOME!!!. I love this game and it is one of the best strategic games you can find to play! But I have an idea of being able to build an army to attack or something like that IDK

Needs more supported devices. Great game but is impossible play effectively on small phne screens Need to be available on ipad mini 4 and air2

Best mobile city builder. It’s just the best

Superbe. Superbe adaptation de cet excellent classique. Vendu à prix d'ami (sans achats intégrés).

No worker that’s so stupid. You guy have to fix the game. No worker

Love this game!. Great game! But it’s almost as if I am being hacked from Gregory Mathurin and his Calgary Alberta police friends who are absolutely abusing their power and equipment.

Good conversion from Desktop to Mobile. When I purchased my first laptop, in 2007, I also purchased this game at the store, the first edition. I really enjoyed it. When I found out about the mobile version, I was a bit worried that it wouldn’t be a downgraded version of the original (haven’t tried the subsequent editions). I must admit, the developers did a great job to adapt the desktop version to a mobile one. However, I’m almost done with the campaign missions, will soon start on the Absolute Power ones. I wish there was more. If I remember correctly, there was a lot more missions on my laptop/desktop version. I think they should work on and release more expansion packs, or at least more missions.

Game doesn’t run. The game doesn’t get pass the loading page

Really fun!!. I was having a lot of fun playing this game. It’s seriously a masterpiece on the phone. However, the game crashed on me while using an iPhone Xs and the game would not let me send a crash repot. The game stayed on the loading/sending crash report screen for an endless amount of time. It resulted in me having to re-download the app and start from scratch.

The real deal. Feral interactive is one of the very few gaming companies left with integrity. Not only are they releasing full console experiences on devices so held back by the software it’s almost magic that we see total war or Tropico at all, but they stand against the rushing tide of predatory business models and greed. I applaud you and will always always support the developers who will refuse to be a part of the inevitable industry crash.

Awesome game. I’ve always loved these games. A few releases were duds but this portable edition is great except we need more. I would even pay to have new maps and missions. This game is great but theres not enough of it.

I can’t get it started up. After the update a few minutes ago I can’t get it open it just crashes after like 2 seconds

Money problem. This version of tropico is very well done although the fact that not all exports are accounted for and the easy debt problem for missing a export and waiting for the next ship to come to give you an export reward and the screwed up and the ticker at the top next to the year is the main problem i found to be the issue overall a great game just has some minor issues

Great game but some major bugs. This game is awesome for an iOS-based game, but it has some major bugs as well. The most important is that I can’t build any roads right now. Was able at first but then the game wouldn’t allow any other roads to be constructed. On any map. Thus I can’t develop my islands anymore. Too bad because I really loved this game and the graphics really are desktop quality.

Awesome. Great game. Lots of varying gameplay. Well designed for ios.

Bugs!!!. The reason I use iOS is because it does have much bugs. Can’t say the same for the game. Frustrating when you pay $20 and developers can’t get basic things right. Even the advanced tutorial is super bugged. Great concept! Experience breaking bugs!

Purchase twice for one game?. How come that after I purchased it on my iPad, I’ll need to purchase it again on my iPhone to be able to play on my iPhone, that’s 30$+. Support?

I used to love Tropico 4. Honestly, feral interactive went hard with this game. Between the fantastic touch controls, with so many settings for camera movements, like tilt options, zoom, rotate. Its nearly one of the best city builder games, with loads of content. But on the iPad, it goes even further than just that. I cannot play tropico 4 on my pc anymore. The ui just feels so much better to me, but that’s mainly because I have the Apple Pencil. Honestly it just occurred to me that I’m definitely biased because I have the iPad Pro with the pencil. That makes a big difference in the feel of the game. But at its core it’s still fantastic, but now that I am thinking about if I had to JUST use my fat fingers, that could be problematic. I think there’s a demo for it, so just check that out first.

Great Game. I use to play this years ago on PC and the game is even better then the PC version.

Satisfies a craving, but doesn't invent anything. Not bad, but adds nothing, good adaptation from console game, but lacks the complexity of Tropico 4 and 5

Issue with game contol. On the iPhone Xr in the story mode my bottom control panel completely not active. I cannot build or do anything so I cannot play. Also, why the game is not rotating if I turn the phone?

Well done.. Amazing to finally play this game. Missed out on it as a kid. Very well done port, of a very fun game. Fully recommend. 5 big old stars

Support helped get it up and running. Was unable to get past load screen initially, but support was quickly responsive and got it up and running. A great port of Tropico 3 and I will now happily while many hours away on this great game. Thanks Feral

AMAZING. Played it as soon as it released first I notice everything is rendered in hd and it’s absolutely beautiful !! Haven’t played the game yet but i know it will be awesome!

No updates. New features should be added for old users...i love Feral’s games but like cant connect two islands through bridges....cmon add some updates

Wonky controls. The game is a fun classic that runs great. I just hate the limited camera, which makes building stuff including roads very frustrating. Everything else is pretty solid.

More, lease. Played all versions so far on xbox. Recently lostuse of hand and was happy to find it here. I still miss the newer stuff tho. Please update and port new versions.

So fun to rule!!!. Are used to play Tropico on my computer years ago. It’s even more fun now in the mobile version. I’m so glad that this game is back!

Construction glitch. Love the game but 20min in and I hit the construction button and all catalogues are locked, there’s no function and no way passed it. So I can’t build anything

One of the best. Definitely got my moneys worth on this game. Kills the battery a bit fast but this game is a must if you’re into city builders.

Please fix the lighting. Love love love Tropico and gameplay works flawlessly on my iPad Pro. One issue though, the scene regularly changes from bright daylight to darker evening to a red color. Even on max brightness, the darker colors are hard to see but the brightest one is too bright. Please work in some option so that we don’t see the lighting change like this. It hurts my eyes and I’m not color blind or visually impaired in any way

Only one thing. I absolutely love this game and it’s my favorite game on any portable device that I have tried. The only thing I want to be added is a game mode that has unlimited money that’s a evolved type of sandbox.

Do not waste your time or money on this game.. The game is very complicated and not well adapted for the iPhone. The view controls are very difficult to operate making you zoom in too far and you can never get a good bird’s eye view of your island.

Woha! Tropico for iPAD has arrived.. Thanks Feral, i am appreciative for your hard working. This company had been delivered AAA titles from PC to MAC and begun to deliver to iOS recently. I am still downloading the app now so i can’t write about the game in detail. Oh, El Presidente awaits me! See ya on the Tropico ✌️ Bless this company!

Tropico!!!. I have been playing Tropico since its release on pc , then on console, I was skeptical on how an app would be and aside from a few things left out like manual trade routes and having to earn technological points..... long story short, it’s amazing ! High replay!

The game crashing makes it unplayable!!!. Really fun game, but my game has permanently crashed a number of times. It will not open unless I delete the game and reinstall it. This unfortunately deletes my save data. Ugh! Will update if this is fixed. Otherwise, really not worth the hours I have put into it.

Loving it. Just like it was years ago, with improvements. Wish there were more games like these, no in app purchases, best 12 bucks I ever spent.

Don’t Buy - Not Worth $12. Unfortunately, I’ve been let down by this mobile version of the PC game. The PC game used to be my favorite, but this mobile game is not worth the $12 they charge. Don’t listen to those other reviews, consider other games that cost much less. Now I can’t get a refund either...

Intel scrolling - make it stop. Oh my gosh, why is there no way to either stop the intel scrolling on the screen which seems to be non-stop or to slow it down. It actually gives me a headache. Please devs make it so this can be removed. I had this game on Samsung Note 10 plus and it didn’t do this, I just switched over to iPhone and the non-stop scrolling of intel information across the screen ruins the game play.

Not sure what to do. Ive played Tropico when it was first released and had it on a disc. I did pretty well there, but i just dont get the mechanics of this one. It needs a written user manual which I cant find anywhere. I have no patience or attention span for watching long videos that just provide minimal information that actually helps get started. I may just ask for a refund and file this one under the “dud” pile.

Awesome graphics. Some aspects are tricky to figure out.. would be nice to have a more modern version or a version that incorporates the gameplay and quality with different setting

Please port more Tropico Games. This game is great. But it’s been years and I want the next game in the series to be ported already!

Fun game, but I must agree.... This is a fun game, but I share another's concern about the drain on battery life and my iPad Pro 11 inch getting super hot while playing it also ... The battery drain of this game is insane... I hope they do some optimizing soon, because it shouldn't be sucking up battery life or making my iPad this hot ...

Great game, it just crashes too much. I played the game for a few days with no problems, until for the past two days I can’t even get to the main menu without the game crashing. I have the latest iPad, it just keeps on crashing. Would love to rate it higher, it’s a fantastic game, bit it needs to be more stable.

A perfect iPad game. I love this game. I beat all of the campaigns a few years back. Recently opened the app to show a friend and was surprised to see new campaigns released for free! I would pay for more levels 3 or 4 times over.

Doesn’t get past load screen. Hello, That was the sole problem! After I answer a couple of user questions like whether I’d like notifications and if they could have access to my gameplay data to improve on the game.. First thing they could do is get it to work. I have a 2017 iPad Pro 120GB and have Never had any trouble with ANY game I’ve ever loaded. This is the first. Please help with this problem Thanks, FijiVogue

Need more missions. Please keep adding missions packs ! As many packs as you can and you can charge extra for mission packs

More, more, please. Such a fun, well done game. We need more challenges. Heck I’ll pay for more. I’m sure many will.

Very high potential. Getting better with each update

Great game!. I love this game but I can’t find a way to play without an end date. The pc game has it. Am I missing something?

LOVE IT. This is a great game! I’ve sunk tons of hours into this bad boy and have absolutely no regrets, the interface is flawless and the scenarios are jus the right amount of challenging. I have no regrets about the price tag!

Yay no in app purchases. So glad they didn’t mess with this game. If they had weaseled in some pay to play crap, i would not have bothered, but it’s just amazing as it was the first time i played it many years ago.

Please keep this working with me iPad OS updates. My favorite game by far. Terrific game. I’ve had it for a while, and it hasn’t gotten old. Very well done. Would purchase anything similar you put out

You Rule!. Been addicted since the very first OG Tropico. I own every game and addition Kalypso and their partnerships have produced. All I can say is Thank You and well done on this App. 🏆

Great game. This is a great game, highly recommend. But I am having an issue with loading the save games from my iPad to my iPhone (8). No saved games show up on my iPhone. How do I ensure they’re connected, help?

Great game, horrible on performance. A genuinely great port of the game BUT it causes my iPad Pro to run HOT and absolutely destroys battery power (like even plugged in it will run the battery down faster than it can charge). Hope the developers tweak performance quickly.

Amazing game, needs more campaigns!. I’ve played the PC version and this game is so well developed for an IPad. The graphics, the storylines. Everything is top-notch! My only suggestion would be for the developer to add more campaigns.

Limited Contents. The game is well made overall, but I feel like the game lacks its content a bit. After three days of playing, I feel like I’ve run out of things to do.

Great port of a great game. Love this game series on the PC and love this adaptation. Has the same look and feel as the PC. The controls are intuitive and the graphics are incredible. Well worth the price.

Can’t hire a doctor. Every time I try to get a doctor for the clinic, it doesn’t give me the option! Everything else seems okay but this is bad if I can’t put a doctor in the clinic. I wish I could get a refund like google play does, but I don’t see that option.

One of the best App games!!. I bought it as soon as I seen it available on the store. Game has lots to offer. No in-app purchases, Once you pay everything is available.

Outstanding Product!. Got this as soon as it was available for iPhone. I have no complaints and just enjoying being able to play Tropico wherever I go. Hopefully there will be add-on levels for the game.

Amazing game need update I dont wanna stop. Please update. I’ll pay I miss playing this game a lot. I won’t delete it and check 3-4 times a month for an update.

Let me tell you. In fact this is a good game , HOWEVER it does not matter how good a game can be , if you have more than 2 YEARS !!! Not making any type of update to the game TRUST ME it gets very very very repetitive, honestly the effort from the company owning this game is completely nonexistent , can you guys please do some updates here and there ? It’s funny how no one says anything about this, or is it you guys not wanting to show comments like this ? XoXo

Asere que bola. The music itself is worth the purchase. As much as I despise Castro and all communists this game has me making my own island hellscape. The Cuban in me is conflicted. I love and hate this game. Lol

Save Game Constantly!. I would give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the constant crashes, I keep loosing what took me a while to build and it takes the fun of it.

So glad we finally got an iPhone app!. I’m an old school Tropico player. I loved the first game and didn’t “need all that fancy graphic stuff”. That being said, gameplay is still essentially the same and I can sneak and play this when my kids are playing—which was a lot harder to do on the PC or Xbox. Too much to ask for a Tropico Paradise Island release? Eh. I tried! Thanks for being awesome!

Keyboard and mouse support. Just a suggestion, I think with how powerful M1/M2 IPad Pro or any iPads why haven’t you guy implemented keyboard and mouse support? I would love to play your game with my M2 IPad Pro and magic keyboards and mouse.

Fun, Addicting, and No in-app purchasing ❤️. This has become my favorite game. I can strategize and win or lose without having to buy my way to success in the game. I’m a fan and now I want to play on the console or IPad ❤️❤️

5 stars. I don’t write reviews but this game is worth the money, it takes a minute to get used to it but once you get going you can’t put it down.

Excellent port, but disappointed. The gameplay is great, citybuilding and politics is exciting, and the game being set on a Caribbean island nation is unique. However, I was very disappointed to see that there was no controller support. Other than that, great game and port.

Great game, kills your battery. The game itself is great, but it absolutely destroys your battery and makes the iPad get absurdly hot when running it. Also, I’ve repeatedly had it crash after building an island only to completely lose everything in the crash.
