50% success so far.. Too soon to make judgement, but I want to unlock changing instrument feature. I also use Notation Pad from same developer, that App I really like. Was hoping both would integrate, but I cannot find Help for the Notation Scanner.

Great app to help me learn new songs. We often get new songs to learn on the fly in choir and this is a great help!

Rip off. This dumpster fire of an app is a glitchy bag of crap it cost $3 and isn’t worth a penny it constantly glitches doesn’t read all the music and make you give it a 5 star rating because the people who designed it knew it was trash I don’t recommend at all unless you have the IQ of 1 and what to waste you money on a garbage use of storage

👎👎👎👎. Only reason it has more than three stars is that it forces i users to give good reviews to even use the app. The app itself is trash, when it plays it skips half the page and the timing is all over the place

Trying to unlock a feature?!. I have to give this app a 5-star rating to unlock a feature (change tempo), so this is me doing that. Shame on you. 😤

Having trouble uploading. I think it works cuz it uploads, but the play button isn’t working and it’s only reading one line. Need help

Failed. Tried to scan a 31-measure song, written on grand staff for piano with lyrics. Could not decipher triplets, could not even determine where the clefs and key signature were. During playback the music actually went backwards at one point! Not very robust. $3 wasted but I guess it could be worse.

Very Good App!. I have scanned many pieces and they have all worked. All you need is good lighting and it should work perfectly!

Don’t get this. Makes you rate 5 stars for anything, but it’s maybe worth 3 at most. I wouldn’t recommend. Also it takes multiple pictures for the program to recognize the sheet music.

Easy and straightforward. I’m a fervent musician, and this app has saved me for multiple auditions when I can’t practice with an accompanist beforehand. The layout is very simple and user friendly! Highly recommend to anyone who is interested in music and practicing on their own!

Really should be 3. I like the program but feel high jacked by being forced to give it 5 stars. 3 if truth be told, mainly due to poor interface

It does a very credible job.. It does a very credible job, if you have good lighting, a flat sheet of music, and a level, clear shot.

It’s okay. It’s okay except for the fact to do certain things they make you do things. To change the instrument the music plays in, it told me I had to rate the app. So here I am lol

Very poor. Even if you get a perfect picture of the music and it successfully reads it it doesn’t play from the beginning of the song. There are no tips or instructions and you can’t choose the starting point. Wish I could get my money back.

This game forced me to rate. When I started to chose a different type of instrument, a pop up came to rate five stars. I taped “no, thanks”. Then, what I got was still the acoustic piano. No wonder this app is free(or use money. I don’t remember).

Have to review to unlock featrues. Seems like this should't be allowed. If you have a good app it should speak for it's self. In order for me to test the app (I just PAID for) I have to first leave a review? Well here it is... This app might be great but I really can't tell yet.

Coolio. It’s pretty neat when I get new music for my viola cause I scan the music and it plays it for me and I know how it sounds👍

Hasn’t worked for me once.. I tried to scan a piece multiple times and every time it either said cannot recognize image or the app crashed. Save your money unless the developers can fix these problems. Very disappointed.

Doesn’t Recognize Anything. Something must’ve happened to this app because all these positive reviews don’t make sense. They probably just didn’t update it when Apple released a new iOS. Don’t bother purchasing this app, it doesn’t recognize any photos of sheet music. I even uploaded a high resolution photo of sheet music I wrote in software, not even a photo taken with a camera...still didn’t work.

Music scanner. Stupid app forces you to rate five stars to unlock features that absolutely should be already unlocked with this paid app. Steer clear, I regret purchasing.

It’s ok. I like it but it takes a while to download and does not slur or tie notes and occasionally will miss a note

Not really worthwhile. I got this app to work on some of my sight singing classes in college and I found that it is very glitchy and unhelpful because it wants you to pay for so many things after purchasing the app.

WORKS AMAZINGLY!. Good app takes a bit to load your score, but it’s definitely worth it!

it didn’t even play the whole thing or anything🤬🤬🤬. it took super long to load and once it did it only played like three scattered measures of the fifty in all, but that was once i made a photocopy of the actual piece i had but according to the app, it “wasn’t recognized” even though it was hardly wrinkled or anything. but it had good tone and the settings were easy to manage, although it is still difficult to really have a good outcome. a waste of money. seriously.

Doesn’t work AT ALL. After taking the photo of a score, it takes some time “processing” the picture (“analyzing notes, counting this and that, quantizing something else...”) and in the end not a single note was detected. Looks more like a scam than a piece of actual OCR technology.

Excellent App!. The app I've waited for because it allows me to pull my own sheet music into the app and to edit the music.

Not useful. The application did not help me lift the music note from the album. The picture from my mobile always shows the message that appears so that he can read it, and when one of them reads, he cannot play it.

Amazing!. I downloaded the app so I could practice vocals to the accompanyment . So far has been great! A few hickups importing scanned images occasionally, but overall very easy!!

Doesn’t work. It definitely doesn’t work, but what I find really weird is that when I took a screenshot for notationpad, which you also made, it couldn’t even understand it! From the same company!!!

Worth the price. My experience : no characters , if the photo you took has Chinese characters it probably can not work. Otherwise, works good. So far so good

Just trying to get tempo capability. It’s a cool idea and works ok if you have good quality images of sheet music that isn’t too cluttered.

It’s ok. It had a small problem scanning certain music but it worked with others.

Music Scanner Notation. I highly recommend this app. As a musician, there are times where I don’t really understand my sheet music that my teacher gives me. So it is very helpful, so that you can get better at your time and intonation.

Music. I had to delete the app and download it again so I could actually get the music to scan but other than that it works amazing and has helped me a lot in my band class!

Worked pretty good. I had to rate this 5 stars to unlock features good trick!!! I must admit it did work well after I adjusted the photo in the photos app to get better contrast and eliminate grey out...

Either crashes or gives an error "unable to recognize photo". Everytime I try to scan music, it either scans for about 2 minutes only to tell me it is unable to recognize my photo, or the app crashes entirely nearing the end of the scanning. I have yet to successfully upload anything into the app. Tried both with camera and uploading photos, nothing works. Looks like I wasted my money! 😔

Noon for Bassoon!. It’s 12:18 and I love the app! So many great instruments and helps me learn and play songs for many different festivals I have. Great job!

Doesn’t seem to work at all.. I’ve tried multiple times to scan piano scores into this app, and every time without fail it comes back with “cannot recognize this picture”. I’ve tried different fonts, styles, you name it. I tried visiting the developer web page, but Safari comes back with “server not found.” I’ve been mostly satisfied with Notation Pad because I use it to arrange pieces for player piano arrangements and I like being able to listen to the work I’ve done, but this is quite disappointing. I’ll definitely be looking for another app.

Listen to the reviews. This app barely scans anything if at all, and when it does, it skips whole notes and half notes and rests and sometimes lines completely. Have to rate 5 stars to change instrument or tempo. It’s cheap 2.99 but not even worth that

Good. Great app to memorize music or to practice. Only bad thing is that it doesn’t read well the pictures and it take many tries until it can get it. But overall great app.

Forced to rate 5 stars to unlock features. This is a bunch of nonsense to force a rating! Skips whole notes and extended rests. I later changed my rating. Try another app.

Absolutely Aweful. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it. Let me list some reasons : After paying, they require you to pay more for anything to do with editing. $15 more to be exact. I'm not paying $20 dollars for an app which doesn't even play back to me, it just shows me the page I imported, which half the time it can't even do. The image never loads and when it does after taking 10 minutes of your time to do that, it won't play. There is a better app on the market for this. It is amazing. Don't buy this one. You are waiting your money. I want mine back...

Fake app?. Did not work, not a single time, always says the image can't be recognized. It simply does nothing.

It’s ok. Taking the photo through the app itself is salty trash, it never works, but if you take a photo, edit it to black and white it does an ok job. Half the features are behind a rate us 5 wall even though you just paid for the app, huh, keep your features and take your 3

Not. The first time I use the scanner, i scan the fisrt page just to try and they force me to right a 5 star review if I wanna be abble to change my tempo!!! Well, I have never been abble to sanc another page, the crashed 5 times...it’s a no for me!

Potential but not functional. App has a great list of features and I wished it would have worked. But despite providing as high quality scans as I could. It wouldn’t reliably read the notes on the page and half the time would say it could not process the image. One of the other apps does allow you to build your own score or should allow for correction of a scan. But I need an app that doesn’t require major corrections after scanning.

Disgusting - Less than zero stars.... To unlock basic functions, the app requires the user to submit a “5 star review” on the app. How dare this be put on the App Store? The author’s Guitar Tab app does the same thing and demands a subscription. Shame.

Horrible.. I never leave reviews in iStore. But this is horrible. First, it didn’t work on the very first scanned page. After paying for the app you can’t change the tempo without leaving a 5 star review! This is SO dishonest, cheap and unethical. DONT BUY THIS JUNK

Do not be fooled by four star rating!. This app is only worthy of about -15 stars, it wouldn’t read my music, took forever to load, AND cost about four dollars. It’s absolutely horrible and forces you to rate five stars to unlock certain features.

Tried but nothing. I tried to use it in a simple choral arrangement. After spinning for awhile it said it could not recognize the music. I tried multiple times but no luck.

Pretty good. Not the best but pretty good. Works best with clearly printed music... not with hand written or messy looking scores/sheet music

Not Advanced software. The software isn’t advanced enough to read complex rhythms, melodies, etc. of scanned music. I look forward to the app’s development because its a great concept -and one day could be very helpful

Scanning Issues. Like everyone else it has just said unable to detect. You would have to have perfect lighting, perfect angle, perfect piece of music and perfect alignments of the graph you give us. I would like a refund unless you fix this soon.
