Wow! Big difference in my work motivation. Yes, I know it's important to move. But, it's not always easy to remmeber to do it or even know what works or not. This app makes it really easy to remember and asks you to rate the exercises so it get a better idea of what you like. I love the stress exercises! Those have become my favorite ones. I feel a rush of motivation to either keep moving or takle my work! The app can also track your water intake so it's slowly becoming my one app instead of 2 or three (water intake, relaxation, exercise apps)!

Movement helps wake me up. Nice idea. You get 18 exercises in the free version. PROS: The upbeat music and movement helps wake me up in the morning. The very short, simple exercises keep me motivated (but keep in mind that I'm not an "exercise person"). CONS: The alarm turns itself off after a minute and it's only as loud as your device will allow. I'd recommend using an alarm clock as back-up. The app chooses exercises randomly and sometimes chooses the same exercise repeatedly so instead of three different exercises you only get one. MONEY GRAB: I like this app and would be willing to purchase a "full version" for a nominal price ($5 or less). Unfortunately, the full version is by subscription. They want you to pay $2 per month or $15 per year for the full version ...and subscriptions auto-renew so you keep paying. As a "non-exercise person" this seems excessive. Although the subscription fee might be acceptable for people who exercise every day, I don't think the short exercises will appeal to them. The app developer is misjudging their market by offering the pro-version by subscription.

So much potential, but not enough. I am looking for an app that will help me remember to move throughout the day because my job is mostly sitting in an office. This app has sooo much potential, but just not enough that I would want to spend the subscription price on it. I like the idea that you can share it with the family, but there isn’t even really a profile page. There’s not really a home page either. It just goes straight to different exercises. And then there isn’t a way to set your weekly schedule to be reminded for the workouts each day so if it’s noon on Tuesday and you’ve forgotten to set the focus time then you’ve already missed out on half the days exercises. Another thing I didn’t like was that when you do set the focus time, you’re basically stuck on that page and can’t navigate to any other page on the app unless you end your focus time. 3 stars for such a good idea and great, unique movement exercises. Just not quite enough in the app to convince me to purchase.

Really Helpful. I was dubious about this app when I first stumbled upon it. However, I went ahead and pulled the trigger purchasing a years subscription. In all honesty I must say it has become one of the greatest decisions I’ve made pertaining to apps. Wakeout has become a cheerleader in the sense of reminding me to keep my focus on wanting to become more active. It’s very reminiscent of having your best friend by your side. That friend everyone has that you love and support and in turn they do the same yet you both bring out the competitive side in each other so you end up doing the things you wouldn’t have done alone. To the creators of Wakeout I send a huge THANK YOU. In this new age of Covid-19 and social distancing it’s no longer an option to have that BFF I spoke of by your side like the old days. So at least for me and at least for the foreseeable future I’ll let Wakeout fill that friend role and be thankful for having the option to do so.

Overshadowed by its flaws. I really want to like this app, as it’s such a great idea to compile easy exercises and sort them by where it’s convenient to do them. However, it is not possible to silence the obnoxious sound effects (at least, not while using earbuds). This is a real pain if you’re trying to do some easy exercises to wind down in bed, or while on a Zoom Call. Furthermore, I was shocked to hear the whip cracking sound effect that starts a set of exercises. I personally associate this with slave drivers, and I do not want to associate the horrible legacy of the Atlantic slave trade with exercising, which should be something positive. I was also appalled this morning to see an exercise reminder encouraging me to “earn that meal.” This kind of phrasing absolutely contributes to eating disorders. An exercise app does not need to mention food or weight at all. Exercise is about strengthening your body and feeling good. I don’t want this kind of negativity and pressure linked to my exercise. With these flaws marring the app, I’ll be canceling my free trial. It’s a real bummer because this app could have been so useful to me.

Scam- alicious. Apple App Store recommended this app and I thought it was a great idea & sounded like a fun way to get me moving throughout the day. It doesn’t say it costs money when you download and low and behold it gives you a 7 day trial but only when you agree to sign up to pay $35 for the year or $5 a month! Very sneaky, as that is what is called DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING. In addition to that, the only option to sign up is using your Apple ID which I don’t want to do. So didn’t even get to try out and I should’ve read the reviews first like I normally do. I also read that the creators said to just launch your app idea ASAP and then as you move forward fix and tweak it- I don’t that’s working out for them and that is in no way how you run a business nor is it a business model to follow in any sense. Good luck and be honest with what you advertise Wakeout.

Thoughts. I love the fact that these workout go within your daily routine . Having 2 kids is an exercise within itself and between my Apple Watch and this app I feel like I have no choice but to be active. It’s something I look forward too . Gained a few pounds and lounging on the couch ? this app is like cool grab a few pillow and exercise . Some things need to be upgraded , great idea but the developer not so much . Honestly if you put more exercises directed towards moms , I think this app could do wonders. There are so many at home moms who don’t have time to exercise but those few seconds they do they want THIS !

I’m being WATCHED!!! lol. I joined. And right away, I get an opportunity to WAKEOUT! What the heck. So, I stood up from my recliner, clicked the screen & began my newest exercise adventure! Now, I’m watching the iPhone 13 screen, following along with the gentle early morning movements by the PJ clad Class Instructor, and I glance over towards the recliner on the other side of the console to see two curious faces intently watching me bob UP & down, UP & down, UP and Down. They hadn’t been there when I stood up, but the movement must have attracted their attention to come investigate. One cat sat on the floor in front & one sat in the seat of the companion recliner, fascinated with the 5 AM gyrations of their 75 year old Human Companion. With the cats heads following my UP & Down motions, I chuckled, and continued bobbing UP & Down with my WAKEOUT Instructor, even though I was being watched! GREAT APP! Thank you! We all enjoyed our first WAKEOUT!

Best thing for someone who deals with depression. The format and design feels like you are in the basement of that 70’s show just so cozy and yourself and the exercises are super relatable and good to help You move if you find yourself lying in bed all day in that awful depression slump. The overall experience was fantastic I really hope They continue to come out with more content. It would be cool if there was a journal writing aspect with like digital stickers we could stick in our entries that could help us work through more of that mental stress. I have so many ideas I love this app!

Variety-excellent app-funrobics is wonderful. I’ve had the app for a number of years and really appreciate that new and varied routines are added regularly. I have the annual subscription and regularly get more and more routines without added charges. Bravo to this app Recently added 5 minute Funrobics! More like that. My only complaint is that I keep getting the same workouts choices and don’t know how to get more variety except to use Search and sometimes it doesn’t even get get me what I want. I’m on the email list which delivers new workouts and break sessions to my email but I don’t know how to get them on my app or to transfer them from the email to the app.

Slow Movement back to Health!. I have been sick for over a month, and have lost weight, muscle strength and tone. However, I decided to do some of the Wakeout exercises, to prevent further loss of strength and to reset my brain into working towards recovery. I skipped exercises that required bending over, such as toe touches, as I get dizzy easily. But after doing four different upper body, standing exercises, I felt much better mentally, and physically more alert…In essence, happier than I have felt in days! Better health truly can start by taking a few small steps at a time, and gradually building on those!

Look forward to a bug fix update lol. This app has changed several times since I downloaded it, both to my liking and not. The most recent update now crashes the app upon opening. I found a workaround by deleting and redownloading the app, which I have to do every time I want to use it. This rather negates the point lol. For me, the best part of this app is its convenience. This is also connected to Apple Health (as far as I know whether you want it to be or not), so that makes it take even longer to delete and sign in. I then have to reset my settings because they ask questions every time as opposed to letting me jump in. When they fix the bug, I’ll delete or update this review! Update: the app worked for a day yay! I updated again and now it crashes every time I open it again boo. I tried to send an email, but haven’t heard anything back. Will see if it clears up. A little frustrated I renewed the subscription for an entire year last month. I don’t have much money, but this was such a part of my daily routine.

Great for productive work sessions. I use this app at my home and university offices when I’m doing focus sessions (25 minute work / 5 min break pomodoro method). It’s perfect for shifting gears and refreshing during the breaks. Love the morning energy and morning mobility routines especially. I wish it were a little easier to search. My partner is looking for some balance routines and I could probably persuade him to subscribe if I could find one or two. We’re both older and balance is a key to staying healthy 😊. There are plenty of great exercises that crop up here and there but would love if they were gathered into a single routine in the menu. Maybe it’s already there but I haven’t spotted it.

Perfect for people not used to exercising!. Gets my blood flowing without the pain of “healthy people” exercises. If your confined in an office space or so tired you can’t get moving this ap will get some air into your lungs and some pep in your step! It shows you how to use your surroundings to help get you energized and motivated in ways you’d never think of. Nicely categorized for body areas and exertion/ skill levels. Plenty of exercises to choose from and helps you use your space creatively no matter where you are. As a person with chronic fatigue syndrome/ fibromyalgia, this is the first exercise regimen I can use to get energized without later regretting it! Thanks!

Has Potential. I think this app had a lot of potential, but it’s not at a place where it’s worth paying a subscription for. The reminder feature and notifications don’t work as well as I would like and it would be nice to have a little more control over the kind of notifications that go to my watch vs my phone. It would also be really helpful if the notifications that went to my watch were alerts with randomized exercise a to do. Currently, the watch notification either has me open the app on my watch to search for an exercise or to open my phone app for the randomized one. It would be really nice it it were streamlined and the notification that went to my watch contained the exercise. I like finding ways to automate my life as much as possible, and this is too manual for my preferences.

Wakeout is the Best!. I’ve had this app for a long time now and I thought I had written a glowing review before, but here goes again: Wakeout is the best, most versatile workout app you can get! I love it so much! I especially love some of the seated wakeouts because my boyfriend is in a wheelchair and we can wakeout together!!! The only final suggestion I can make for Wakeout is I wish there was a “dictionary” of every wakeout and you could build your own!!!! That way, I could make a full wakeout for us to do together and not have to skip around! I’m sure there are lots of people out there who would use it! Thanks to the devs for all of your hard work and improvements and thanks for making the app more inclusive and accessible to everyone!!!

Fun app, but needs to show history/search!. Had an issue with the app crashing on my 12 mini, uninstalled and reinstalled the app again and now it works fine. It would be really nice if there was a way to see the history of different Wakeouts I’ve done or be able to search for something specific. Sometimes I want to redo a previous set but I haven’t found a way to select what routine to do, other than the type of routine. Also being able to “share” *after* doing the wakeout would be a lot more useful, my mom and I both use this app and sometimes the routine I get is clever or more energizing so I want to be able to share it - but I don’t know that until afterwards. I’ve only seen the share button before completing the wakeout.

Helping me build strength. I work from home as a coder and have been sedentary most of my life. I got this app and the subscription on a whim after noticing my legs hurt after a walk with friends. So far, this app has helped me be more active around the house, be healthier at work, and build a little muscle. I love what it's doing for me so far! I love that this gives me an easy start to building strength instead of throwing me to the wolves. This app is almost perfect, the only points I'm counting against it are the lack of varied routines, and the lack of instructions for some movements (they're mostly pretty easy, so not that big of a deal). Besides that, I'm happy as a clam. Thank you, design and dev team for making a useful stretching/workout app!!

Love the concept, could be better. I started full-time teleworking in March and the amount of movement significantly dropped. I discovered this app in December and love the concept. The exercises are short and easy. I really feel like it makes a difference but why do I have to turn this on every day? Can’t there be a way to set this so that I can defineThe start and end of my workday? Are usually don’t remember this until it’s almost lunchtime and I go who wait where was my mid morning remind her to do some short exercises. This will be ever so much more useful if it were just automatically come on every workday for me. Yeah it sounds lazy but the point of the app is to remind me to stretch and move, so obviously i need reminders. 😁

Not free. I keep seeing things from Apple trying to push this app and I thought it looked great! I was excited because I am just starting my first semester of online school and sitting around all day is killing me. I downloaded the app and of course as soon as it makes you login with your Apple ID it makes you choose a subscription plan. I wanted a free app and expected it to be free. Being a college student I can’t afford another subscription just to have my phone tell me to do some leg lifts at my desk. Heck I can’t even afford Disney+ so why would I pay for this? If you’re gonna have an app for free on the App Store you should at least have a lite version where you can have basic features without paying $5 a month. I really wish I could use this app and would love to try it and give a good review but it’s just not the kind of thing worth spending my money on.

Great content, frustrating app. The exercises are great and the *concept* of this app is exactly what I was looking for. But.... The music is awful and not as functional as it could be to solve other problems. The silent/vibrate notification to move on to a new exercise is not as useful. I only noticed during the one exercise I *wasn’t* doing and had my phone in my hand. The UI is not very intuitive for something that is meant to be quick. It’s not very clear what the difference is between the options at the bottom. And further, it’s not clear what each routine entails before it starts. The wind down page could learn from the workday page. routines are different each time, based on what? No written instructions for breathing exercises where it’s not very visible what’s happening In the video. This is such a brilliant idea executed in a way that doesn’t actually seem to have the user in mind and is hard to look at. I could probably hack my way through using it over time but i can also set a calendar reminder for free and just do whatever movement comes to mind.

No Smart Reminders here. I had high hopes. I downloaded, signed up and spent a half hour configuring settings. Was primarily interested in the smart timers. It soon became apparent these were going to be a pain. You have to set up each reminder individually and no way to set app to remind me at intervals to move. Nevertheless I spent time to set up reminders every 30 minutes, laboriously, one by one. This took the bulk of my time. There honestly aren’t many other settings unless you want “focus time” a feature which makes no sense to me but each to his own. I would have been happy to have reminders to take a break. I also flipped the switch to sync with Apple Health. The next day I got no reminders, nada. I opened the app and lo and behold all the reminders I set were gone, back to default. Apple Health toggle was also back to default. Anyway, I had intended to give this a couple days but it seems clear this app is meant to be used manually? The exercises are good ones but I don’t need another app I have to remember to use.

Disappointing. I was excited to download this app to help me stay a bit active while I work from home. When I first opened it to set it up, it asked me if I wanted at home or office or other kinds of workouts I chose home office. Then it asked me did I want sitting, standing, or both type of exercises I chose both. The first two times it reminded me to exercise it gave me standing exercises. Every time after that it gave me things that I’m sitting down for. I sit at my computer all day, and I don’t mind doing some sitting exercises like neck stretches, but I want the standing ones especially. The app does not include any menu with which to change one’s preferences. It also does not include any way to contact any customer support. If the developers adds a menu of custom choices that one can easily access, and customer support, I would happily download this again. But I canceled it during the first day that I downloaded it.

I want to love this but..... I love the concept of this app, but it is having a hard time. I set a healthy work timer, and it works. The timer runs, but when the time is up, the notification never comes or comes in a way that is not noticeable on the phone. I have checked all notification settings, and everything is on for your app. I am receiving other notifications without issues. Also, the reminders for other healthy tips work great! They are announced and noticeable. Since the healthy work timer doesn't notify me meaningfully, I often work for much longer in one stretch than I'd like to. I installed the macOS app thinking that might help, but I cannot authorize the app with my Apple ID. I reported the issue about a week ago and got an email a day later. After that, there was yet to be a response to the email after several attempts to reply. I have tried contacting the company on web forms, the app, and via email, and everything has yet to be answered. This app needs to work for $13 a month, and you need support to help address issues like these. For these reasons, I'm leaving you a one-star review. I want to love this, but it doesn't currently work.

Keeps my mind focused. Have been using this app for a while now, and as long as I keep on track (don’t forget to use it 🙈), it has helped me a lot to stay focused on work and leave everything for the break, any interrupting thought, any pause or non-work related thing, I leave it for the break with no remorse. I can progress thru my tasks and then do a little reward stretch 🙌🏻😁. I feel like I actually progress thru the day instead of all it being a blur and not accomplishing anything since this WFH began (which I loved but haven’t managed the best way). Love the app and will continue to use and recommend 🥳🥳// Previous review: Not sure if it was due to an update or that I recently change phones (went from iPhone 6 to 11), but now when I open the app I see the initial Wakeout welcome logo, and then the screen is all white, it doesn’t load anything at all nor it seems like anything is happening in the background. Hopefully is something the team is aware of and they are working on fixing it, I really like the app to help me be less sedentary during the work day 🤞🏻

Love but. I sill love the app but it used to take you back to the main screen and show you how much total time you did for that set and a total for the day. Then you could choose to do more. Now you have to set an alarm to do them. Short of me setting alarms every 10 minutes to get several at one time there is nothing else I can do. You can’t even open the app and see anything without a notification being active. I am very disappointed as this app really got me to move more. I wish someone would contact me or reply to my comments. I love this app but since the last update when I finish my first set for the day it freezes and I cannot do anything else. I used to be able to do several sets in a day but no more. I paid for the pro and was wanting my husband to do this also but it is so much more expensive for him to join now. So I will wait and hope there is a fix for my freezing up problem.

Perfect!. I just downloaded this app, I went through a lot of the exercises. The majority of them I will be able to do! You can make up your own routine or use one of theirs. I have Rheumatoid and Osteo Arthritis, I also have Disintegrated Disc Disease from top to bottom of spine with narrowing and bulging discs with a Spinal Stimulator in lower back. Both knees need replacement. I also have Fibromyalgia, Lupus, and Sjogrens( a sister disease to Lupus). One last thing is I have an Ascending Aortic Aneurysm that’s a 4.5 cm. Oh just one last thing I also had a Stroke about four years ago. All the apps for movement or exercise are so in depth and hard core that I could not do them. This Apo is great and I can’t believe we don’t have more like this! Yes one drawback is you have to select a payment up front before you get free trial but 4.99 a month is not bad considering what a gym would cost! So tomorrow I start my exercise routine and if my opinion of this App changes I will update! Have a joyous day!

Greeat Idea, needs refining in use. There are a lot of things I like about this program, I paid the $60 for it, which is a big deal for me. Using it so far I've had some not so user friendly problems with it, including the iPhone and Mac use/interfade of the app. as well as with Health Data. They don't seem to talk to one another, so data from the laptop doesn't show up on phone. Also I don't understand the timer and various things to program in, no explanations on use of the app in it. Much of it is intuitive, but not all. Have sent an email, but as yet no answer. I'd like to redo some of the exercises I've done before on another day, and that's hard to do. Moving around in the app needs improvement too. The exercises are great, I'm getting to move different areas of my body throughout the day for short periods which keeps my energy up and focus clear. That's very valuable. Also, it says I can create a team, inviting up to 10 friends, and I click on the "let's go" and nothing happens. Frustrating as I have a co-worker who's enjoying the music and likes the idea. But nothing happens. No explanation, either or troubleshooting. Hence the 3.5-.4* review. Next upgrade, make it 5*!

More control over wakeout exercises. I was really enjoying this app & was using it as a great way to help me get up in the morning. I purchased the pro version because I was tired of the same few exercises every morning. But then upon getting pro, I realized there are a lot of exercises out of my skill level or that I find difficult to do on my bed for a multitude of reasons. I wanted the ability to just turn off those exercises from the library, but there’s no way I can look at a library of exercises & choose which ones not to pop up. It became very discouraging for me to wake up & get 3 exercises in a row that weee too difficult, & so I stopped using the app. If I had more control over my wakeout experience I’d start using it again & be a happy camper.

Hand workout!!. Helped my hands get moving!! And out of the way they are normally!! It works great!! I love it! Edit* I have now been using this app for 4 mos and it has actually kept me interested this long! It is a cute short little break if that’s what u need, and if u happen to need more it’s that too!! They even have a blog where u can go and check out more about this groups mission! I absolutely looove this app! I cancelled the sub b/c that’s what I usually do so I don’t get surprised with the next installment, but I’m definitely going to get this again after I run out of my year sub 🐣

Great for those of us not dedicated enough!. It is probably great for everyone, but very much for those of us who want to get even a little bit more active but can’t or won’t plan into their insanely busy days a 30 minute or longer workout. I love that these can be as short as 30 seconds but you can do as many of these as you want back to back to extend it for as long as you want. When I am telecommuting, this app helps remind me to take a break and move, which I desperately need to do. Their app updates, so far, have been great improvements to the UI and additional workouts. I got an iWatch for my birthday and am so excited to see an app for it! I will be checking that out soon.

This app is so needed for EVERYONE. While I know many people think they know the secret of life hacks. I unfortunately had to loose EVERYTHING to get me to the point where I am today. I unfortunately had to get diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis while I became bed bound and was only able to use a wheelchair to move a bit. I had almost given up completely and then I got the idea one day that I was not going to just accept the assumptions placed on me by a diagnosis. I have taught myself to walk and even gotten into better physical shape than I was before I was labeled with a diagnosis. This app has taught me additional ways to increase my movements and has helped me get into a better mood.

Obligated to extra purchase. I was happy using the app, but with the last update you CAN NO LONGER USE IT FOR FREE, you will have to pay for every month. So now is a usleess app because you need to pay in order to be able to see/do any excessive. I feel so discouraged because I have been using the app for free and probably there are going to be more people who can’t afford to pay the monthly plan and we will end up not been able to use the app as in the past. I think developers can do apps that requiere a obligated purchase to use them, they are in the freedom to do it. But when you lunch your app as free with options to purchase and in the future you switch to obligated purchase I don’t think is good because communicate that the company cares more about money than customers. They are willing to loose all the initial customers because they want a better profit. This makes me sad, I used to like this app a lot.

Fraud. You need to fix your app ASAP! It’s not fair that you force your users to create an account and give up their personal information before you notify them that it’s a paid service. You make it absolutely impossible to delete an account once it’s created. Once you’ve given them your personal information and created an account the only option is to pay, it’s impossible to go back to delete the account or access any sort of menu. I’ve tried closing the app and reopening it about a hundred times and yet still the only option is to pay which is absolutely ridiculous and I think that should be illegal! Please Delete my account now and fix your misleading fraudulent application!

Wakeout. Love it! Charming, hilarious, fun, always different. Just a little pick me up when you need it. Would like to see a category for nurses, health care workers. Always on our feet, frequent computer charting, have to push through 10 and 12 hour shifts(inpatient and outpatient) and often w back pain, while trying to put our discomfort aside to provide medical care and emotional support to our understandably stressed patients and families. It’s a tall order I know, but nurses appreciate the smallest things that help get them through their days (or nights!). Good luck to you guys. I love your wonderful little app that is trying to make the world a better place, one small funny activity at a time. As my Southern mama would say, “Bless your hearts.”

Lovin’ this app. I’m the definition of sedentary since I work as a seamstress. Plus exercise isn’t really my fave thing. Wakeout doesn’t feel like exercise tho… it feels like stopping to take mini “play breaks” in your day. And with sooo many different exercises and routines to choose from, there’s something for everyone I’m sure. I can really feel the days I get a Wakeout in every hour or so… can just feel that my body is working more efficiently and healthier, plus the exercise “snacks” help keep the stiffness of arthritis at bay. Bonus for the fact that this makes exercise accessible for someone who has significant physical disabilities, but I’ve recommended it to several friends who are completely healthy and they love it too! Thank you for an awesome and ground breaking app!

Great for when you’re busy and have ADHD. I’m in college and have ADHD, so it’s hard for me to schedule a specific time each day to workout. However, Wakeout offers exercise that you can do while sitting down for a few minutes, so it’s very helpful for me. For example, if I’m in the middle of school work, but I remember I need to exercise, I can squeeze in a quick 2 minute workout routine at my desk, or if I have extra time, I can do longer workout routines. This app is convenient and I love it, I recommend it for anyone that wants to fit some movement exercises into their life.

Great app so far. This app might save my life! I hate exercising, it's the worst thing in the world. Since first Covid lockdown I have become pretty sedentary and am also battling addiction issues while trying to cope with gaining all this weight. I work from home and between that, my elderly dog, and my own laziness I just don't want to do anything. I downloaded this app just to check it out. The exercises can be 30 seconds if you want, you can do them from your bed, and more importantly I can do them while sitting at my desk listening to people complain about technology advances. There are so many variations of workouts to choose from. Simple movements to improve hand strength, yoga for your eyes, and if you're feeling like a maniac you can do some squats! High to low intensity, it's very exciting. It's only my first day but just stretching alone has my body feeling all kinds of new. I felt positive for the first time years. I don't usually subscribe to apps past the free trial but if I keep up with it, I think this could save my life. Thank you.

“Healthy Work” a Step Back From “Timer”. Healthy Work is a really bad feature update. They should have just renamed the Timer feature. Timer had so many more options for customization. Healthy Work is a huge step backwards. I don’t care if Wakeout knows what I am focusing on. I care about being able to choose how long my focus sessions are, choose from a rotation of my favorite Wakeout exercises, choose the length of my favorite exercise at the time I select it, and be able to set an easy break timer - all of which I could do using Timer. Also, evidence based medicine actually says 20 minutes is ideal (for eye strain) not 25 minutes, but what I really want is to be able to choose from different lengths because sometimes all I’ve got is 10 minutes…and I’d like those other features of Timer back too. Timer was my most used feature in Wakeout. If those customizable features from Timer aren’t blended into Healthy Work pretty soon, I’m going to see what Wakeout alternatives are out there that have more customizable options. It’s too bad. I was really enjoying this app. 🙁

So many things to love!. Although I really appreciate the workday timers, I genuinely believe I sleep better on nights I do a Wakeout wind down. I enjoy many of the other wakeouts, but the wind downs really work for me. I appreciate the feature of being able to skip ones I don't like, as well. When I have had general questions, I have gotten quick responses. I do wish there were somewhere that we could pull descriptions of the exercises, though--it's hard to tell sometimes if I am doing them correctly.

Fun way to get some movement into your day. I had initially had some issues with the app, but the developer was super responsive and the issue was isolated. Since then, I’ve used in several locations and really appreciate the approach and videos. I have a very busy, sedentary job, so working out seems impossible—but taking even just a quick 30 seconds of stretch or movement via this app is easy and actually a fun break. And, I’ve gotten more stretch and movement in the middle of my work days using Wakeout than I’ve had previously. This is not a “serious” workout app—but it isn’t meant to be. It’s meant to get us moving. And it does that well. As noted previously: The interface is clean, you input location and energy level or mood to get an exercise selection (and you can use or scroll through to other exercises once presented with one). There doesn’t seem to be a screen for tracking progress (yet), or a way to mark favorite exercises, although it does tell you how many you’ve completed once you’ve completed a wakeout. So room for improvements, but a great app in this niche.

Annoying disappointment. I have decided NOT TO subscribe to this app, and I decided to warn others about it. I wanted SO MUCH to like this app, and I have a feeling I am not alone in this, but this app is impossible to use discreetly without the embarrassing karate sumo wrestler yell. It basically ANNOUNCES to anyone within earshot, "Hey! Look over here! I'm about to do some extremely ridiculous-looking exercises right here at my desk! Quick, come LOOK! And be sure to point and laugh!" There was no way to turn it off and it yelled EVEN WHEN THE SOUND ON THE PHONE WAS OFF!!. ARE THEY KIDDING? It's really stupid have an exercise app that features discreet exercises to do in A QUIET OFFICE ENVIRONMENT only to have karate man scream every time you start a new one. My suggestion is clear: the user should be allowed to turn the volume off to shut the app up, or it should be an option in the app itself. Fix that super annoying feature, and I'm there.

Not going to subscribe. I’ve read through the other reviews and see that there’s a mixed bag of opinions, but I’m going to have to agree with the handful that think we don’t want to deal with trying to find time to test the app out within your 2 week free trail and then if we don’t like it, going into our iTunes account and cancelling the subscription. As for other apps that do subscriptions, most of the exercise apps I have still foster a free limited version, and then offer a free trail of their pro versions, which may or may not be subscription based. Judging by your responses to other reviews I get the sense that you’re less concerned with the dissatisfied users because you have “thousands of other satisfied users”, so I’ll delete this app and continue using my “other satisfying apps” instead.

Constant Crashes. I’ve been a user of this app for a while now. I’m even a premium subscriber but, ever since the last update, the app crashes constantly. I can’t even open it without it crashing. If I reinstall it, it temporarily fixes the problem but then the next day it’ll crash upon opening again. Even if I can open the app, it’ll crash at the end of every workout and, because of that, won’t register with the Apple Health app. I’m very close to deleting the app entirely and cancelling my subscription. I will adjust my rating and review if the problem is fixed. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but this problem has been going on for about a week with no fixes at all. UPDATE: There was another update with no fixes. I’m deleting the app and cancelling my subscription. I’m sorry.

Wake out. I like this app because I have an incomplete spinal cord injury with poor balance. I cannot do most exercise Apps from Apple. And with Covid-19, its variants, and my age ( 75 ) I am home a lot. I sit as much as I can, using my computer, drawing, and painting. I get up every 30mins to stretch or to use a home eliptical machine. But having this app, gives me many more options for time-short movements. I do have to be careful to go slowly and to know what I cannot do. So first I went over the exercises I do with my PT. I LOVE THIS APP WHILE STUCK AT HOME! Patty , a USA citizen currently living in Portugal

Three minutes of some random movements. I set my timer to give me 3 minutes of activity every 55 minutes. My coworkers think I’m nuts when I do some of the office chair scoots and things. I love it though. I don’t always get the reminders to act. Maybe it’s my settings? Anyway the morning and wind down sessions are great.I love how I can choose the activity. Usually, if the three options, at least one works for me. I also like how the video shows how to do the activity and you can skip if you can’t or don’t want to do an exercise.

Go Ahead-Buy It!. I was going to cancel after one week but this app really inspires me to go ahead and do a fun, brief exercise routine upon waking, after sitting, and all during the day. I needed to add stretching to my routine of a 5-mile walk every other day and this app is helping me round out my movement in a most enjoyable way. You can easily raise or lower the amount of energy you put in. I’m really surprised that I like it so much. Part of what it like is that there are no super-fit exercise coaches urging you on with false encouragement. And, so far, there lots of variety in the routines and music! Thank you!

Reforming a reluctant exerciser. I hate to exercise. There you have it. But somehow this app gently motivates me (‘sound on’ adds a layer of fun) and provides lots of sensible (and some quite silly) motions that pique my interest. 1 minute exercise? Oh yeah, i can tolerate that. Lighthearted and effective. And bonus, I actually DO feel better when i move. It comes with the ability to set reminders for myself to move at various times through the day when i might be able to follow through - ie head and neck moves at midday to help gently work out the stiffness from hours of computer work strain. Definitely the the best thing i bought this year. Updated. Over a year later. Still reluctant but this app is the only thing that ever motivates me to move. And it has added so many new and interesting movements to its menu. It definitely is a keeper.

Dubious Pricing. There are so many different plans with different prices and no way to tell what is different between them all. There are two with the same name and time frame for the same price, the. There is another set of two but they are differently priced. There is a huge difference between the cost of some of them. 6 different year long plans. And again no way to tell the difference. Am I paying too much? Am I missing some content? I have no idea. And their website doesn’t answer this question. I sent an email but haven’t gotten a response back. Also when I first downloaded the app I was told it had a free trial and it just charged me. I don’t know if I had tried it before, so a warning would have been nice. Otherwise this is a neat lil app with things to keep you moving. Just wish I knew what I was paying for.

Essential!. This app has motivated me to do something my chiropractor, physical therapist, and wellness coach have been recommending I do (increase physical activity in small time periods throughout the day) for years, and Wakeout is so chill and non threatening, to the point, that I’ve been doing my morning mobility routine everyday now first thing after I meditate, and actually look forward to it. I enjoy the 3, 5, and 10 minutes choices, the music selection, the ability to rate the movements at the end of the session, very customizable and not a bunch of “experts” talking or too much text to read. This app is practical, effective, easy to incorporate in daily routines and most of all, it works and I feel so much better throughout t6e day! I’m looking forward to exploring more of the terrific options and continue my wellness journey with Wakeout. Oh and also introduce my 4 yo niece to it and the rest of my family and friends! Thank you Wakeout team!

Easy and Fun!!!. This app is great for me, short and easy exercises, ones I can do since my arthritis has progressed! Definitely recommend!!!

Not free app. After downloaded … read a few reviews n realised its you have to pay for it… maybe it’s worth it but who knows you only have 7 days to try it out

To expensive subscription model. Everyone has enough subscriptions now a days. This app might be worth a once off payment of $5-$10 but not a recurring monthly subscription. Good work outs though. Just use the trail and screen shot the workouts you like.

HIDDEN CHARGES. Wants you to subscribe before you can even look at it!

Good when it works. Trying to do a resting quick workout and the app keeps closing. Try to go back in and select the resting quick workout and keeps stuffing up and closing the app. Very frustrating.

Life changing. This app is fantastic. It will change your life. I have fibromyalgia and this app is exactly what I needed. Thanks to the developers

I like it. Simple and quick exercises for a problem area and fast relief, yay

Kept charging me when I deleted app. I got the free trial and didn’t like it, so I deleted it and figured that would be it, just discovered it’s been taking my money this whole time. Ughhh

Great app!. I was a bit hesitant of this app at first, I don’t tend to use them for more that the 7 day free trial, but I’m really enjoying using it! It’s very easy to use, and with the alerts, I’m being reminded to take breaks regularly and just move. The movements are really easy, which is important for me as I have disabilities, and my energy level ebbs and flows, and in addition to my chronic pain, I often find it difficult to do this kinda thing. However this app is really good in the way it lets you skip things if you can’t do it, and also set how long you want to do it for! This is especially good when working from home as the regular reminders make sure I get up from my desk and get moving.

forces you to pay a subscription. what’s the point of making a free app and then not letting people use it for free? at the very least give us SOME features. i cant access anything without setting myself up for a subscription sad because this app looks so helpful, but i guess i’ll never know :(

Surprisingly effective!. I am trying out this app to build up more movement and flexibility in my “decaying body”. This app will make you remember how your body is meant to work and will nudge you throughout the day to get you moving again. Well done devs 🙏

Wakeout. It would be great if the app always works It’s frozen Great and exciting when working

Worth the money. I bought this out of curiosity because it sounded too good to be true, but it really works! It helps me so much! As a 20 year old with a mostly sedentary lifestyle, this app has helped me to do short exercise routines of varying levels (fun is my favourite, my sister enjoy the bashing pillows one) while I’m waiting for food to cook, or watching tv. It’s definitely helped me to reshape my habits. The only thing I do have to say about the app that has caused me not to give it 5 stars is that after a while there aren’t a lot of variations you can do that you haven’t done before. I’d love to see some new fun routines thrown in because it is starting to get a bit old now.

YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT. When I saw it in the App Store I was siked and ready to be active (since I’m not very active ) I got into the app and told me what my goal is and stuff like that when suddenly it said are you comited very committed or all in and at the bottom of each option it told me how much I HAD TO PAY TO DO THE EXCERCISES it is a scam since it says it’s free but it is not AT ALL

deleted as soon as i opened. 1. requires you to subscribe to actually use the app… you can even see what the interface looks like before you have to decide a monthly or yearly plan 2. the monthly plan is so expensive?! more than netflix and at least we netflix you can cancel and still watch til the end of the month so disappointed because i downloaded this as soon as i read its overview. it sounded so fun and promising but i can’t rationalise spending so much when there’s not even a free version. i would be so happy with a free version that had like 10 or so video/exercises/whatever they call them. and i can’t know what they call them because you can’t get past the paywall….

Stopped working (fun while it worked). My app stopped working last week. The videos don’t load it just shows the image with a spinning wheel. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app but it’s the same problem. iPhone 8, version 13.3.1 I have 1 week now unable to use and 2 weeks left on my subscription. Can I please be refunded for 3 weeks. Thank you

not free. please make it free and not require a credit card because it makes things very difficult. it has a good concept but it should be free.

Forces you into a subscription. ... and doesnt respect your privacy.

Paid Subscription App. There is no “Free Content” whatsoever within this app. It will ask you some questions before requiring a subscription.

Why can’t I just try it out?. It is probably a good app, but seriously - why do I have to “subscribe” to a three day trial? Why not just let me see and use some limited features of the app, and sunscribe if I want more? I am really “over” apps that require registration or sign-up before I can try out the app, and see if I like it. The best apps let you use them without sign-up, without your personal info, UNTIL I decide to register. My choice. Not the app owner.

It does work!. I was a little sceptical the first few times I did this, and didn’t really feel that much different but gradually I came to realise that doing a few small exercises for just a couple of minutes IS much better than doing nothing! Rather than sitting on the couch static, I now do some face yoga or stretches or any other of the myriad of suggestions, and against my better wishes I am looking forward to the next session! Give it a try! You don’t have to do big long and hard movements, it’s just important to move, it gets your blood flowing and stops you from getting too stiff and sore from just sitting! It IS helping me!

Discover an incredible connection with your own body. It is extraordinary how disconnected we are with our bodies- tending to live in our heads and acknowledging our bodies tends to be when it makes a cry for help. Instead, pay attention to your body and experiencing how different actions feel is such a… kinda special, personal and almost like “Hello old friend!” To reacquaint yourself with your body generates a connection that opens your mind to your world around you and discovering how to enjoy being you.

Not writing to Mindful Minutes. Finding the app very useful but would love for it to be able to write to mindful minutes for my study sessions 😁

fantastic idea. this is a really great app. as someone who has depression and often can't find the strength to get out and go for a walk, these quick workouts have made me more energised and motivated. it really is a genius idea! I only wish there were more routines in the free version.

Wakeout. Fun exercise

Motivating. ?

No thank you. I was really excited when I saw this app and downloaded it straight away...then I saw how much it is AND when you cancel you forfeit the rest of the month! Other subscriptions based apps at least let you finish the period you’ve paid for. Thanks but no thanks...delete-not even going past the intro page.

Absolutely terrible. It forces you to pay a subscription and doesn’t give you any free features at all. This app looks really good but the fact you have to pay is so stupid. DONT DOWNLOAD!!!!!!

Just downloaded. Looks good but doesn’t work on iPad in horizontal screen...unless I am doing something wrong. Can it only be shared with family who have apple devices?

The perfect work from home buddy. I love this app! It has totally changed my work from home lifestyle. I have balance where there was chaos, I’m moving more, my nutrition is a focus. Love all the functions. So worth the investment. In two weeks I have already got value exceeding the yearly subscription.

Have to pay. Once downloaded, I come to a screen which displays all the benefits of a premium subscription. Now way to get out of it and you have to pay $7.99 a month.

Boo, takes your money. There are multiple subscription levels, but wakeout automatically signs you up for the highest cost after the free trial with no comms to warn or provide options prior. And unsurprisingly no response to email. Shame because the app could be good, but I’ve stopped recommending it. Now when I get the alerts I just get super annoyed!

Now I love to wake up and Wakeout !. Only day 4 using this Wakeout app but I am hooked. I even look forward to my wakeout and the best part is I don’t even need to get out of my pj’s ! Easy energising short bursts of fun workouts just to get me pumped about the day ahead. Brilliant idea and first app to have me so happy in the morning and ready to face the day. Love it !

Misleading. It should be noted that this is not a free app. There were no free trials. Deceptive!!!

Auto charge 1yr subscription after 7 day trial. I got caught out on a shady auto renew policy with this one. After the 7 day free trial it automatically renews for 12 months charged at $99 for the year. Most likely as the app is not for me, I downloaded and thought give it a go but as an active person as is, the routines/exercises are what I do anyway therefore not that helpful (for me). This is purely my observation of course and I’m sure there are plenty others out there that will appreciate the suggestions. If the developers read this I would appreciate if you could donate my subscription fees to charity /mental health support or lifeline.

Added a subscription Pay Wall so you can see any content before paying.. Added a subscription Pay Wall so you can see any content before paying.

Wow, This Really Helps. As a little depressed bean, this app is helping me by giving me small little movements to do. It actually helps me feel a bit better! Really love that there’s the choice of longer sessions (10m>) and super short ones (30s>) because depending on how motivated I am, there’s something to get me moving. Thank you for making this :)

Why need to use Apple ID to use?. The app wants your personal details in order to use. No privacy. Uninstall.

Great in your pocket refresh and wind down. Getting used to the different pop ups and while I don’t always respond have been building up slowly to do several a day. Enjoy this app

Not freee. This app is not free. I thought this was going to be a free app but you have to pay for a subscription

Pls make watch app. Great app! Please make this available for watch. I don’t always want my iPhone on me! ALSO PLEASE TURN OFF THE UGHH SOUNDS AND THE DINGS...RUINS MY VIBE ESPECIALLY IF IM AT WORK I DONT WANT SOME DUDE YELLING WHEN I OPEN THE APP...has happened a few times where he’s yelled loudly with my phone not on silent. You’ve enabled the ability to turn off music but you also need ability to turn off sound effects please. This goes for POMOGO TOO.

Excellent. A really good idea for keeping me on my toes… reminders work well

Persistence. I need a lot of encouragement to get active and Wakeout manages to persist and get me going. It’s great!

Terribly misleading. I had to enter a ‘free trial’ to access anything. It offered me 1 week free then $56.99 for the year. It then debited $20.48 out of my account! Not impressed. I would like my money back immediately.

So goooodddd and safe for my disabilities. Thanku

No free content. There is no free content available, and subscription price is expensive. Note: iTunes Store says it has 14 days free, but inside the app it says only 7. It looked like it could be amazing... but I can’t afford this price. Disappointing.

Love 😍 this app. It’s fun and inspiring and I have more energy. I highly recommend it. Enjoy.

How is this Apple's app of the year?. You can't even see if the app is worth buying without committing to a free trial that will automatically convert to a paid subscription once it's over. Here's a better model for you: make the UI and some workouts available for free. Turn your trial into something I can then choose to activate if I see the value in your product and then subscribe me if I don't cancel. You're losing a lot of potential paying customers by forcing account creation from the get-go.

How is this App of the year??. This app REQUIRES you to subscribe before being allowed to peruse the app & check out what it offers. I'm not signing up for ANYTHING without a good walk through. Terrible set up. Def not the 'App of the Year' :(

Not worth for paying. Subscription is a wrong revenue model for these kind of apps

Subscription right away?. Didn’t like it at all when it asked for my Apple ID to sign in and a subscription without even showing what this app has to offer. Now I just wonder how to sign out of it without proceeding to a subscription👎

Not Willing to Jump into a Subscription. Right away, you’re asked to choose a subscription plan that looks to kick in after a free trial period. But I’m not willing to sink that sort of investment in that quickly. A less costly alternative would be to go do some research about some similar workouts and set your reminders on your phone. Would be interested in revisiting if there’s better pricing structures down the line.

Can’t do anything without paying. It looks like an amazing app bu I am broke and don’t want to spend my money on an app that I might not like

Must pay app?. The app is free, but I’m only seeing a subscription is required to actually use the app.

Morning exercise. I got energy. It gives good blood circulation

This is the one!. It has everything my ADHD mind needs! And the timer is everything. Don't hesitate just subscribe! No don't do that. Try it, you’ll like it.

Charged before trial ended! Beware!. What can I say? If you are looking for an app that would scam you, sign up!

Old people. This is for old people

Scam. When I downloaded this app I can’t do anything unless I pay a subscription

My fave movement app!. Just did the trial period and I’m going to stay subscribed. Love love love it. Coming from someone who sits at a desk all day and pretty sedentary, it's actually quite fun and really convenient! I actually dislike missing my notification alerts if I’m busy at work but… movement is important! And such nice happy people on the videos. Good tunes. Only thing I can think of that would be even better is separate alert sounds for movement/water/posture and break/focus. Other than that, fab tastic!

Not free. Should be mentionned before downloading that you have to signup for a trial to try the app 😡

App is a scam. The first thing after launching the app & selecting your goal is a monthly subscription purchase popup with no access to a skip, trial or explore the features access.

Removed flexible activity timer and replaced with rigid Healthy Work Timer. I previously gave the app 5 stars for the highly flexible activity timers where I could customize time between activities and choose the workout activities that best fit my work environment. Now it’s been replaced with a rigid 25 minute timer with selected exercises that often don’t work for me and I don’t need to keep wasting time selecting another exercise set. The Pomodoro technique of 25 minutes is often very disruptive when doing deep tasks. Several researchers and proponents of the technique indicate there should be flexibility to adjust both task time and break time. With the previous timer of 45 minutes on task followed by 7-10 minute breaks was my “sweet spot”. Andres and Pedro please bring back the customizable timer as an option.

Decent concept. Interesting concept and creative workouts. As with others, the auto volume regardless of whether phone is silent is annoying. Didn’t go past free because a subscription is ridiculous for this type of app. Overall doesn’t really work if you’re up an hour or two prior to your partner and would need to do it in a spare bedroom. Might as well head to the home gym instead.

Annoying sounds. Why don't you turn off the sound when the phone is on silent???

Fun way to remind yourself to move throughout the day. Great way to add extra movement throughout the day. Would love if there were also ways to focus on specific areas like core and glutes for example.

Great app, could be better organized. It’s a great app with a lot of great exercises and activities. I’m enjoying it so far, but I like to do sets for exercises like squats, pushups and l-sits, and it would be great if we could favourite the exercises we like and then it goes in a special list for that, so we don’t have to look for the exercise again if we want to do several sets of that exercise. I find I’m having to scroll through up to 50 different exercises just to find the exercise I just completed a minute or two before, and the list changes up the order the exercises are in. Squats may be 12 on the list but next time you go in to find it, it’s 32, or it’s 49 on the list.

Not free. Can’t even try it with out subscription and Apple ID You have to subscribe and then can cancel with a 7 day free trial. Waste of time

Predatory subscription model. Predatory subscription model that hopes you forget to cancel, because nobody would pay this much for something like this.

Super obnoxious first launch. It blasts music when you first launch the app, regardless of if your phone is muted or not.

CW - ED. Wakeout sends reminders in the morning which I don’t mind but I would advise being considerate of the language used. ie. this morning I received “Earn your meal today! Before you eat, do a quick wakeout” While fasted workouts are proven to be effective, imposing the mentality that eating needs to be “earned” is unhealthy and can ruin your relationship with food. Please don’t imply eating/food is a reward for exercise.

Super Easy and relaxing. This is a gentle way to get back into moving like we should after Covid lockdowns etc. this will be fun. The night time one had me hugging my pillow. Loved it.

Ignores focus and wakes you up at 5 AM. I have had Wakeout on my phone for awhile but used it again for the first time yesterday. For some reason the app decided that this meant that I wanted to be woken up with both sound and vibration at 5 AM on my watch. I slapped the watch sleepily to make it stop doing that and it did it again at 5:30. I have “do not disturb” set on my watch and phone from 10 PM to 7 AM every day. I have all sound notifications turned off on my watch at all times.Wakeout overrides all those restrictions There doesn’t appear to be any way to make it not do that. If you and your partner do not want to be awakened at 5 AM, do not purchase Wakeout.

Not paying before use. I have no problem paying for apps that I like using but charging but you need to allow for a long enough to to try it out.

Charged me without notice….. I was charged without a reminder that I would be charged. I have made an official report so am waiting to see if they reverse the payment. People should have a reminder that the free part is over so that we are at least given a choice as to purchase or not. Too bad, because the app seemed interesting, but this has left a bad taste in my mouth. I have to call and cancel my credit card now - as to avoid possible future charges without my consent.

Useless. I purchased a subscription and there are so many glitches in the app that I can’t properly use it. Don’t bother with this one!

Excellent motivator. I really enjoy this app. It keeps me moving throughout my workday. Reminds me to do little things like drink, water or relax and breathe. Highly recommended if you find yourself sitting for long periods.

Free app to download and pay to use it??. Free app to download and pay to use it?? Not getting in there

Mandatory subscription? Lame. I can’t believe this is the iPhone app of the year when it doesn’t even have a free tier. You are forced to sign up at first launch to a measly 7 day trial and then you’re on the hook for 45 bucks a year. It would be so straightforward and standard practice to have a free tier but these guys just want your money straight up. Apple should be ashamed for giving this app an award.

Sneaky. I need to see and test the app before deciding if it’s a good one for me or not. But NOOoooooo.... you must pay and subscribe first before even seeing what this app does. Horrible

NOT A FREE APP & FORCES YOU TO SIGN IN. MENTION IT CLEARLY THAT THIS APP IS NOT FREE!!! So that people don’t waste their time in downloading the app. First of all it asks you to sign in with apple, no other option just sign in with apple. As soon as you sign in, asks you to pick a subscription.

This should show the price. It’s not free. It used to have a free mode, and you could pay for more. But now, it does nothing without paying.

Blasts Too-Loud Music. Any time you want to start a workout it cranks up your phone volume with no option to turn that "feature" off. Doesn't care if your phone is on silent or DND. What a stupid design.

No free workouts unless you sign up to pay later. I used to have the old Wakeout app before it got updated. There used to be a limited number of workouts for free users, but now you have to agree for a 14 month free trial to use the free stuff.... after that; pay to keep using. It’s ridiculous. I understand the need to make money.... but don’t force it on people. For those who just want to try the app for a bit.... it turns them away immediately. Plus some of us students don’t have the money in the first place...

free?. free to download maybe, but you can’t use it without subscribing. misleading

I don’t want to use Sign In with Apple. I don’t want to use “Sign In with Apple”. Call me old school, but I have no issues managing my own accounts via email and I don’t plan on using Apples single sign on ever. In turn I can’t use your app.

Excercise. Easy

Not free!!!. Not free. You can’t even try without paying.

I’m back!. After 5 years of almost no activity and 2 knee replacements, Wakeout got me moving again with simple 1 and 3 minutes bouts. Thanks!

Has a pay wall. I couldn’t even open the app without agreeing to their monthly subscription

Sneaky. So fine, the app is free... but your Immediately asked to subscribe to a one year membership for $46 to try use your “7 day trial”, forget to deactivate it and you’ll be billed $46 ( didn’t happen, I just know how these sneaky apps work and am not falling for it) Definitely not worth it, google some routines and you can find most stuff online.

Faster music & different songs please. A beat to match the man & not the same shopping mall music would make this the perfect app for me.

Why don’t I get an option for trial?. Since the app doesn’t open without a subscription I don’t get to see what the 2020 app of the year fuss is all about. I’m definitely not paying just to open the app.

Beware subscription based. SUBSCRIPTION BASED APP! Asked for your info then wants you to buy a subscription. I was a sucker for giving my info! Not cool!

AVOID- Cannot see content for free!. When I open the app, all I see are options to subscribe or trying a free 7 day trial. However, if you don’t cancel, it’ll charge you a full year subscription automatically. I REFUSE to pay to try an application. I don’t even know if I will like the exercises! I will go elsewhere!

Rip off. Can’t do anything with the app until you sign up for their subscription. I don’t care about a 7 day free trial because you still have to subscribe to get that. Just go on YouTube and get tons of free similar exercises without them sipping on your credit card.

Great working from home exercise app!. I LOVE this app! Wakeout is the perfect balance of keeping active and focusing on work. I love the mini breaks as well! Great Job Team!

WakeOut Review October 2nd 2021. I just downloaded this app and I must say I am delightfully surprised. A download the app without any hesitation as it sounds like a lot of fun and put a big smile on my face. I.e. quickly open the app and began to choose exercise and perform them. I did about four and I must say they’re really really enjoyed them as well as the app is a hole can’t wait cheese on a daily basis to improve my bone/muscle and back tension problems.

We’ll see. Hoping I keep it up! Day one I’m enjoying it quite a lot and it helped revive me from my desire to sleep at my desk. Depression roller coaster (among a lot of other crap) is a big reason why I’m trying this but I’m limiting myself to one month for now - if I don’t use it much at least it’s not as much money thrown at it… kinda expensive :/ but it is nice to have everything you’d use throughout the day for health reminders and such all in one place.

Good results. Absolutely love this program. I have not been able to find one exercise program that works for me and this one is perfect. It’s just right I cannot stress enough. It is your very good selection of light workouts to do throughout the day . You actually feel better after each exercises and it’s amazing. It really works to make you feel more energized . I definitely recommend this program, it rocks.

So close. I think the premise is amazing. I think the actual app could use an update. Design wise it feels all at once very outdated (low quality videos) and weirdly hip modern (fantasy cartoon character upon start up). It needs a revamp. Also, if you could PLEASE change the gif from when it says focus time to something less stressful that’d be just a personal preference. Maybe opt for cute cartoon character instead of frantic lady ??? Either way the actual function of this app is great, just minus 1 star for aesthetics.

Buggy at times, obvious bugs persisting for over a year. I’ve emailed in to the app developers about it, but heard no response, so here I am. I’m an annual subscriber and find it ridiculous that the “tap here to begin your active break” notification continues sending while you’re in the middle of the active break. This issue has persisted for over a year. Shouldn’t the app know I’m doing the active break? I launched the break from one of the notifications. Why does it continue probing me and vibrating my phone, interrupting the active break I’m doing, to tell me to begin the active break? Maybe the fix is more challenging than it seems, but come on.

Used to love but now just crashes. I used to love this app and would recommend it to everyone. Now it crashes as soon as it opens. I have the latest iOS, 15.1, my iPhone SE. I have uninstalled the app, rebooted my phone, and reinstalled the Wakeout app with no luck in solving the problem. I have contacted Wakeout but have not had any response. I have been a paying member for several years. I am canceling my account since the app is useless for me. If someone is able to get it to work, I would use it again. However, currently, I am extremely disappointed with the app and the lack of customer support. Please get act together Wakeout!!!!

easy enough even for someone with zero fitness. Most, if not, all of the workouts are only three minutes long and they’re very easy even for somebody coming in with absolutely zero fitness. I have been almost entirely sedentary since the pandemic started, and I’ve been able to do these. Not quite as well as the person in the demonstration lol but if you just do it to your limit, you can build up to that. I’ll definitely be re-upping my subscription to this

This is good for me - love it!. If you’re like me and you just need something served up, don’t overthink it, just move a bit thru-out the day, then this is the app for you. It is easy to just sit still and not move while working from home or watching tv, but I am really liking these short bursts of activity. It gets my heart rate going a bit and it makes me feel much less slug-like.

Do not get this app if looking for capability with your iwatch. I have been using Wakeout for about a month. I really liked that I could use the app on my iwatch while at work, but since tha latest update of Wakeout my iwatch is up to date with the latest version, so I know that is not the issue. It is mo longer convenient for me to use the app. I’m highly disappointed with this. I purchased the year subscription and novw feel I have waisted money doing so since I specifically purchased it to use on my iwatch. Before having issues with this I would have given a 5 star review.

I like the mini work outs. I really enjoyed the mini workouts and being able to select the time. I liked the reminders, too. What I don’t like is if I was sedentary for awhile, I got told it was “terrible” which made me feel bad about myself. I use a wobble board at my standing desk while I’m working, and it doesn’t track that since my Apple Watch is still. It didn’t track most of my activity for today. Due to these issues and monthly pricing, I decided not to continue my subscription. It’s too bad, I really like those mini workouts!

Simply great!. Just get up as soon as you see the notification and follow. Don’t hesitate Get up. Be a kid again. Some days I skip but they are back! And so am I! Added as Second review: especially good for February! Start and don’t worry about missing a prompt. One idea would be for the app dynamically to track how often we are missing exercises and then reduce from 30 seconds to 20 seconds and as the user shows consistency at a lower level to increase by increments of 5 seconds. Thank you!

Great workout app for single people. This app is not meant for those who share a bed with someone as there is no option for quieter exercises. My very first exercise was hops; god luck doing that without waking up your loved one. I did not want to make this a public review but I found no way to provide feedback via the app. Also, it asked me my activity level (which is embarrassingly low) but I feel like the exercises were still a little hard. A little more guidance for the not-workout-obsessed would be nice. All that said, it did let me get started quickly and the video showing how to do the workouts was helpful.

The worst app I’ve ever downloaded!. They have a lot of nerve to charge $4.99 a month for this app!! It is by far one of the most expensive apps I’ve ever seen and I’m shocked it’s gotten such positive reviews. There are thousands of places you can get workouts for free so I’m stunned so many people pay for this crap. Also, they try to trick you that the app is free but when you download it you can’t even get an example of some the workouts without paying. They give you whopping week for a free trial. Almost every free trial I’ve seen are for a month. This is the first review I’ve ever written but I am just so appalled I had to warn other people. I can’t say enough negative things about this app!!

Love the idea but there are flaws. This is great for beginners and anyone who wants to just stay fit during downtime. However two main suggestions: 1) there is no way to create a custom routine. For example I cannot pick individual exercises and the craft my own setup of excessive. Instead I have to pick their pre-made routines 2) there is no way to extend length of time to significantly longer. From what it seems all “Wakeout” routines are about 3 mins long or less. It’s be nice to do “reps” or “sets” where I could choose to go longer. Keep in mind it’s $5 a month. So that’s 60 a year for an app that doesn’t allow too much customization. For that much you could get any one of the stretching or workout apps like “7” that have just about everything this app has and more. They way the app currently is, it’s not worthy of a subscription... more like a one time fee of $10.

Gets me moving when I really don’t want to!. The exercises seem sometimes silly but one thing is for sure it motivates me to move. The reminders to get moving are great. And many times the movements are muscles I don’t ordinarily think about. After 5 minutes of simple movements I am often out of breath (I guess I need more cardio). The fact that it registers on my Apple Watch fitness app is so motivating. I really love the app.

Love This App. This app has got me up and moving! Being able to pick and choose the exercises is awesome. If one comes up I can’t do either because of physical limitation or is just a little more challenging than I want to try in that moment I can just skip to the next one without interruption. The music is upbeat. The exercise rotation keeps the workout interesting. It is not repetitive or boring. For my age and physical condition I just couldn’t ask for a better app.

Best Motivation and Results!. I love this app!!! Sitting and standing at my desk all day while working from home is a literal pain in my neck lol 😬😂 The quality of the movements, the variety, the ability to pick focus areas and select the amount of time (from 1 minute +) with reminders set at a planned frequency have helped to heal some of the issues I have related to desk work: neck, hips, shoulders, lower back. The music is fun and upbeat too. A+++++ best app ever

Moving. Love the short to the point movement. Also, the many topics thanks so much! Thank you for the hourly reminder to stretching. What a wonderful world of feeling. 😃 Thank you for the daily reminder to do some kind of movement. I always feel so much better when I do them.👍🏻 Is app has really helped me get out of the rut. It only a minute or two and I feel empowered and mentally ready for the day. Thank you!

Lost my progress. This app has gone through a few major updates over the years. The first update reset my Wakeout minutes. This latest update removed the totals for exercises completed in each category. I was working my way through all of the exercises but now that progress is lost in the updated design. This is a good workout app but it penalizes long-term users. Don’t get too attached to any of the design or metrics. Also the user flow for “tell us about yourself” is impossible to escape midway once launched.

New version and index problem. I like the concept of the sedentary index, but the implementation in the app is just horrendous. It's impossible to understand what these statistics are supposed to mean and I have no clue how the index itself is calculated. I'm not even sure if it's working properly as it told me today I had no sedentary hours, even though I spent most of the day sitting or lying down. It's also showing me almost completely sedentary for the last seven days even though there were a couple days where I took very long walks. I love the app itself, but I'm going to mark it down in stars until the index problem is fixed.

Great app but does not stay connected to Apple health. I love this app but it be better if I didn’t have to open the app on my phone and click Apple health then do my workouts because then I wouldn’t have to worry about having to keep the app open on my phone as I’m doing it on my Apple Watch it needs to be able to run without me opening it it needs to stay be able to stay on without me having to open the app every single time to do it please fix it

Loving this !!!. So easy to do anywhere. Adding movement in small increments throughout my day is just what I needed! I would always want to add exercise to my daily routine and seemed to literally not find the time. I feel like this is something I’m sneaking into the day just for myself. I feel like it’s actually more helpful throughout the day as apposed to the 30 minutes to an hour I strived for.

Totally worth It. This app is great for those of us with desk jobs. It provides an abundance of healthy reminder and you can choose how long you want to do an activity and it makes taking breaks fun. It also lets you pick areas that you may want to focus on. The workouts are in small increments but effective for cardio and working your muscles. You can customize how many reminders you would like to have throughout the day also. I have really enjoyed the app thus far and it is very easy to use.

Perfect for me!. I don’t exercise. It’s not my thing. I don’t enjoy it. I don’t actually know why I downloaded the app and did the free trial?? However, I’m so glad I did! I actually use this every single morning and night. I throughly enjoy it!! I love all the options, with time, activities, and music. I’m really happy I found this app! I’d really love it if small meditations would be added to this AND if the music used for the bedtime wind down could have a setting to just play all night.

Back to five stars!. The latest update fixed the crashing issue, I love this app for keeping me moving, without it I would be SO sedentary with long days at my desk. The workouts are short and silly and fun, and the reminders throughout the day to get up and move a bit are a lifesaver. Plus your subscription can be shared with family, my mom has found it to be helpful as well. Love this app!

Has some bugs. Generally pleased with Wakeout, but it has some bugs. Currently won’t work on my iPad. I’ve deleted and re-added the app, as well as turning off the iPad and turning it back up. When I attempt to open the app, it starts to open and then immediately closes. The app continues to work on my iPhone. Also, some of the short exercise demo videos won’t play. The processing wheel just spends until either the screen times out to black or until I tell the app to chose another exercise.

The best. I’ve had many exercise apps. And they’re for the most part good. That being said I never looked forward to doing them. I love these full body exercises! Perfect for a beginner or for someone who has not done any exercise for a long time. I know this app has harder routines, but I’m where I need to be right now. I feel more energized after doing the routine and look forward to my day

Great for my Life. I have been looking for some kind of program to start out SUPER slow, with small time choices & limited range movements- THIS IS IT! Try the free trial & see if it works for you. Cancel before your charged if it doesn’t. Due to health issues I’m starting at a very low level. With working full times & kids only have small breaks to do exercises - this is perfect.

Wake Out Exercises. I began using the breakout exercises this evening. Because I have been ill for the last three months, I had not been able to exercise. I knew I was on the “move it or lose it” program, and would need to begin training with the Wakeout Exercises as soon as possible. Tonight was the night to begin. The exercises are well-demonstrated and easy to follow. Actually, the exercises are fun, functional and enjoyable. Here’s a “shout out” to whomever developed the program … Bravo, well done!

Like it but needs work. Pros: I like the idea of simple movements and reminders regularly. Being home more due to the Covid -19, I am less active so this meets my needs. Cons: Could be more transparent about the purchase instead of hiding behind a free label. There are no settings. I was going to purchase but then I saw the several choices (pro, family & me and business). What’s the differences except the price. I couldn’t find any info about them on the app itself. It doesn’t work on the iPad as well because not showing full view.

Good but also bad. I like this app. It is useful when I’m on the go at work or at home, Even on a plane. This app made my life a lot easier trying to find a bunch of workouts but this app has 500+ workouts. The only flaw would be that you have to pay for all of it. Even so this app is great but I would really like it if you didn’t have to pay. Overall it’s a amazing app and it helped me with working out.

Best I have tried. I have tried various other ways to keep myself active during workdays but this is far and above the best! When the beep beeps I get excited! I have recently been taking it and going down to my coworkers office and saying: “Time for our wake up break!!” and we do it together! My only wish is that I could set it for MORE than 4 times a day because I would definitely do it every 1-2 hours!

Love the app but. So I’m all about moving. I love this app. But I’m so tired of this sedentary update. If I decide to sit and watch a tv show suddenly I’m 100% sedentary. It seems to ignore the fact that I’ve completed several wakeouts during the day or does not get the move data from my Apple Watch. I’m not a fitness guru but I’m by no means 100% sedentary. Even my elderly mother who is disabled and has dementia is not 100% sedentary. I find the update to the app discouraging. I’m getting ready for bed and it’s trying to get me to move by calling me terrible and having snarky couch potato comments. That is not motivation. Can we have a little encouragement here.

Turning 75 soon & reinventing myself with help from Wakeout & other things. Just downloaded Wakeout! So far looks great & will be helpful for motivation & direction/instructions on what to do! I also bought a GE smart scale, use Apple Watch to track health stats. Also belong to a gym focused on seniors. I’m grateful to be in overall good health, but 13lbs overweight! Time for change & these things will guide me on the important journey! Stay tuned…

Wakefield tells me to drink a cup of water. IfI do each time he tells me, I think I get my 8 cups per day. So I am a big fan of this app. I recommend getting it and enjoying it! 😎

Good start. I have complaints though.. Very cute app. I'm not going to lie. I downloaded it for the teddy bear on the logo. I'm glad I did. Now that said, I really would prefer that you could order or pick what exercises you do. I hate getting up in the morning. And honestly the pillow squats first thing seem pretty daunting. I'm more likely to give up on the days when it's a hop out of bed immediately for 20 squats versus a gentle set of crunches I can do without getting up. Also once I'm out of bed, it's better if I stay out. I'm likely to fall back asleep if I hop back into bed. So if you could add those features or even just a random skip button I would change my review to 5 stars. I went pro because I like how obnoxious the app is. It's a great idea.

Its amazing & easy! Worth the $$. Worth the money and it let me add 10 people or 10 devices! My three year old LOVE this app when he joined in with me. The workouts are so easy and quick to learn. Always something fun and new but I wish that I can save my favorite workouts. I used this very often for bedtime, cool down, release my stress, when my body is sore and need exercise or just to calm down my angry kiddo. I highly recommend this to anyone! I LOVE this alott!!

Working from home has made my body lose energy. This app has been essential for me. Since I’ve worked from home my body has gotten….weaker, different. Ives vowed to myself this year I will make changes and this app is the start of my journey. It reminds you to take breaks when needed, and gets you moving a bit during the workday. I’m starting out slow as I do suffer chronic pain and this app has been perfect for me.

Just what you need right when you need it!. Love this app! It reminds me to take a break, stay hydrated, stretch, and move in a friendly, unobtrusive manner. The variety of exercises, some taking as little as 15 seconds, fit perfectly into my very busy days. I’ve shared this app with others and they always come back and tell me how much they appreciate and use the different features. Thanks, Wakeout!

Energizing. Update!!!! Lovin the app have to use it more than I have been because it consistently alerts me to keep me moving!!! I always feel no pressure or pushed effort doing the dancework outs! It’s awesome! You really could add your own movements to make it your style and it’s fun in between work or at home! This is my first time trying with an app like this so I am grateful to be experiencing this! I am trusting my journey!

A set of healthy exercises. I recommend them.. This program offers easy to do exercises for 1 to 5 minutes. There are more than a half dozen categories of exercises from which to choose and the exercises for a particular category change. There are 1900 exercises from which the program can choose. These are not gym exercises. My assessment is that they are suitable for a person in “normal” or “average” physical shape. Doing a three minute set I feel more awake, refreshed and mentally more alert.

Life Changing!. I am so excited to have discovered Wakeout! It is improving the quality of my life! Before exercising with Wakeout my body was in pain due to stiffness! I knew I needed to stretch however the other programs were to challenging. Wakeout makes stretching fun and successful! I can now more easily pick up items off the floor. My head turns have increased in range of motion. My pain is minimal. I am so happy to be feeling better.

Love this app!. I often have trouble even getting around to doing a condensed seven minute exercise routine that only takes, well, seven minutes! Lol I play basketball some and some days walk quite a bit for work but other days do very little. The week out exercises are a great way to integrate motion and activity throughout the day because the exercises are short and often fun. Reminders are also witty and motivating. Activity is SO important. Love this app!
