Amazing game worth every penny. I played the demo a while back, and fell in love instantly. I finally bought the game on my phone, played it all the way through, loved it so much that I turned around and bought it and replayed the whole thing all over again on my ps4. I can honestly say this may be one of my favorite mini games yet. I’m sad each time when it ends that there is not more of it for me to play, because I feel as if I would enjoy playing more of this game even passed its end. I’m a little bit disappointed that some things weren’t fully explained by the end, however it was still unbelievable enjoyable to play all the way through. I would love to see a second one maybe from a different characters perspective going through other areas of this world, especially since it’s easy to see that the setting it’s in is huge as it is. I’m sure there could be a whole other game in this same world, where you don’t even see the same areas as this, and also a different outcome in the end. Either way, I love the creators of this game, and have already even before this game, with of course games like Limbo. And they’ve done it once again. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

ItOUCH 6 compatibility needed - but apple won’t make new itouch. APPLES FAULT FOR NOT RELEASING MORE POWERFUL ITOUCH AND ALSO FORCING DEVS TO LIST DEVICES AS ‘compatible’ when they really aren’t. I seriously hate you, apple. Will never buy an iPhone. This is partially your fault Apple....why don’t you release a newer version of the itouch? Of course games are going to get better in terms of quality, and some of us who own itouch 6 have no other choice because your company refuses to update the itouch....well guess what? I’ll NEVER buy an iPhone so you will lose out on customers there..I own the new iPad Pro and will buy new iPad pros, but I ALSO want something that fits in my pocket that can play music, movies and GAMES...and as I said, you’ll never force me to buy an iPhone...so if Devs stop developing for itouch 6 then your going to lose a lot of customers and it’ll be your own fault.

Great game. Worth a play.. Played this game for the whole afternoon and I guess I was a bit addicted. The game’s nearly perfect. The only thing that I found so weird was the monstrous creature that appears near the end of the game. It’s disgusting and it made me vomit. (Guess it’s achieved its goal quite successfully) But aside from that, the graphics, the sound, and even the touch control, everything’s the best. I didn’t even heard of this game until I watched that WWDC video, and it turned out this is indeed beautiful. I used to love those racing or sandboxed games, but now I think my preferences have changed just because of this game. I wish the developers could add more levels to it since the whole thing seems to finish too soon. To be honest, I didn’t realize I had completed it until the boy stops moving. It will be better if the storyline’s longer.

Love this game. This game is a very interesting build. It reminds me of little nightmares except a different story. The controls are not hard to use at all and work perfectly for me. For 6.99 i think this games worth the money cause when do you ever see a console like game with pretty smooth graphics on mobile like this ? Never. That is why this game is awesome and the energy is just amazing. My favorite part was the part where you had to use the metal door to get pasted the sound waves that could explode you. It took me about 8trys but like I said it was worth it when I figured it out. I’m currently on the part where I trap the mermaid in the other room while the metal door closed behind me. But if I a dev could reach out to me, my one and only question is what’s the name of the little boy ?

Addicting and riveting. The scenes and challenges are at times eerie and get you jumping now and then. The challenges aren’t overly difficult but a couple make you think a little or try a hundred different ways. The play is a little dark but it does help to set the mood. I haven’t had much problem with the controls so far (just started level 3). I haven’t experienced the problems others have. I find if you just touch and hold the screen, that’s sufficient for moving; you don’t need to keep moving your finger across the screen. Some challenges require you to get the controls right with little delay but that’s what makes it fun and challenging at times but it’s all been doable so far. I love the game and have played it almost non-stop since buying it. The one Problem: I finished the game in 2 days and it just ends. Not sure the money is worth 2 days of play otherwise it would get 5 stars.

Amazing story. Dear Playdead, Though it costs money to buy the full game its worth it, i bought Limbo back when i first got a IPod touch in 2013 and i played it and it was just the best story telling game you could get at the time. Now Inside which theres a lot of theories on is about a boy who is running through a “post apocalyptic” world trying to survive against creatures and or people that have no remorse for killing a child. To me this is a very good subject especially for a game it tests your puzzle and problem solving skills. The only thing thats wrong in my opinion is the price I get that the PC was more expensive but the price should be lowered to $2 just for everyone to experience it. With a cheaper price you get more people that buy the game meaning more money and another way to make the game better is to release a DLC for it explaining why the kid is being chased down and why theres creatures that are able to breathe underwater it’d bring more money but it would also tells a story and the way these games depict it is just incredible in my opinion -Jay

Really fun...until the end.. I very much enjoyed this game until the end. The gameplay was entertaining and the “puzzles” challenging, creative and intuitive. You can die but respawn at the last failed “puzzle” and you can’t maneuver yourself into a dead end which makes the game flow very nicely. I have essentially two issues with the game. First, one of the last “obstacles” is very difficult to perform given the way the player controls the character. The touch controls on the iPad are twitchy and not always precise, however one of the tasks near the end of the game requires seemingly pinpoint control and the slightest variation in movement forces the player to start over. While you may know what to do, the inconsistent gameplay doesn’t allow you to do it—frustrating. Second, the end of the “story” is very much a letdown. It’s like the game makers ran out of ideas so they just up and quit—disappointing. The game was certainly worth the money, but I’ll hope for a more complete offering in the future.

I love this game. I love this game a lot. Really it’s my preference that makes me love it, but it’s like whenever I play it I become completely immersed. The atmosphere really does a great job at accomplishing the post-apocalyptic feeling. It holds so much mystery yet I never feel confused about what’s happening. It has the unique feel- a city of grey with the red shirted protagonist with a purpose. I personally enjoyed it more than LIMBO. Instead of being a straight puzzle after puzzle game, it had more of a story or mystery following behind. I got this 10 days after it was released on IOS, I would’ve gotten it before that but I didn’t have a PC. Some people say the controls are hard and the finger scrolling is difficult, and while I found it a bit frustrating at the beginning, it was very easy for me to get used to it and get back into the flow of the game. Some people also say it should be more than 12+, but I was 11 when I got it and I think it’s fine. Great if you like Little Nightmares also.

Incredible game, but needs more.. The game overall was incredible, I’ve never actually finished a game like this and it’s usually because I get bored. Night one I played for three hours, night 2 for an hour, night three for a half an hour. Graphics, soundtrack, general gameplay were all amazing. I want to keep playing it! However, it hints at a storyline but never gives you an actual storyline. When the game ends you’re just as in the dark as when you started and its really quite disappointing. I want to know why we’re running away, why they’re trying to kill us, and what the heck are they doing to people in general! The ending was probably the worst ending I’ve ever seen. It’s also far too short to be worth the $7 that it costs for the full version. I’m not particularly good at games like this, and if only took me maybe 6 hours total, and that’s including short breaks. I was hoping it would be a game I play for weeks, not days.

Beautiful and Curiosity Piquing. I think a major aspect of this game is how curious you get every time something happens, and how you feel after solving a puzzle. I’m not sure if it’s just the lack of me playing puzzle games, but I feel like when I solve a puzzle that has a loop like baiting or extra long jumps, I feel really proud of myself of finding that solution, and I think that’s really nice. Another thing about the game is it’s beauty. I mean, come on, I could even see the background and feel like that is a story. Being underwater just looks outstanding too. It really just makes you want to explore more and more. I do not think the length of the game is an issue, however, it would be great if the game continued or had a fixed ending, but it is not necessary nor asked of by me.

A stunning achievement. The title I gave this review says it all. This game is so beautiful both aesthetically and emotionally, and was massively fun to play. The puzzles are smart enough to be fun, but simple enough to keep you from getting stuck. There’s a beautifully dark sense of humor to the game, as well as genuine pulse pounding chills throughout. I finished the game a couple of days ago, but I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. I think that says a lot. If I had one criticism, in case the developer happens to read this review, the setup wherein the full game is obtained as an IAP was a bit of a bummer because it kept me from being able to play on multiple devices. I had to commit to one device and purchase the game there. Really, though, a minor niggle. Everything about the actual game itself is PERFECT! Thank you Playdead - I can’t wait to see what you cook up next

This is something I cannot define, but it’s nothing less than incredible. I generally never write reviews, unless I’m compelled to when I come across something extraordinary. This is one such instance. It’s very thoughtfully made and needs to be played very thoughtfully too. The puzzles this game has forces you to think before you act. You literally feel you’re really running for your life, and as the game progresses you understand what the game master wants you to think like and act like. I haven’t come across any bugs. It’s really addictive, mostly because you can solve the puzzles, and every next challenge is so unique, that you really look forward to it. The gameplay style is very motivating to not look back and keep pressing forward. Highly recommend

This game is insane, I love it. Highest quality mobile game I’ve ever played. Gorgeous graphics, incredibly unique and creative storyline, challenging puzzles yet very well thought out and not impossible. The solution suddenly clicks and it’s so satisfying when you figure it out. The NPC’s are really cool and I love how they’re incorporated into the challenges. Huge variety in scenes/environments. Very nice balance of scary die scenes and more relaxed. Kinda scary but not so much that you’ll have nightmares. You won’t get bored playing this game. It’s addicting and you’ll want to play through in one sitting. Price is very fair and I liked that I could play first before purchasing. I would have no problem paying more given how good this game is. Obvious that an incredible amount of talent, hard work and quality control went into making this.

A risk worth taking.. I will say this now, not many games have achieved what this one has in my eyes. No mobile game short of BADLAND has ever produced an environment so fascinating, so unique that I have seen before. I downloaded the free portion and let it sit for a long time, just today is it that I played that bit, and was driven to buy the rest. As an author, this game has tug of warred with my imagination, going from a minor amusement to a large focus. Following this child on his journey has been such a good time. I only wish in these games that there was a book to read, a movie to see that told of how the world came to be this way. Heck, I’d write one just to see where it goes. I don’t give many games five stars, but I wholeheartedly believe that, if any game deserves a good review, this one does. Bravo, Playdead. I’ll be keeping my eye out for more.

LITERALLY THE BEST GAME IVE EVER PLAYED FOUND IN THE APP STORE!. When I first saw the game on the App Store, I was hooked just by looking at the graphics of the game. Once I watched the video about the game in the App Store ... which is kind of like a summary of the game I guess.... I was completely stunned again on the graphics. When I stated playing it, the setting and the colors and the sound effects in the background they chose were absolutely perfect and matched with the idea of the game. Even though I didn’t buy the full version of this game I still really enjoyed it and will keep playing the same parts😂. But the only minor problem with this is I don’t understand the story of this game. When it starts out, you fall down this cliff and you are running from these people without faces? Maybe that’s just because I’m as slow as the day comes but it was still a very good experience. I’m sure if I bought the whole game, which soon I will, I’d understand the meaning of the story.

Wow just wow 😍 WORTH THE MONEY AND WORTH THE TIME. Best game I’ve ever played and I play many video games but this is the best one out of all of them. So I payed for it and it was worth the money. The graphics, the simplicity, and the amazing story. The ending kinda confused me as I didn’t exactly know what it meant but I have my theories. Sadly I finished the game and wished there was more parts or games like this Playdead made 🥲. Playdead made this game incredible and it’s been years since a new game from them came out and I wish they started making new games but sadly no news came out about what happened. Playdead I hope you’re reading this, your game Inside is incredible and will always be my most favorite game ever. I hope whatever happened to you guys gets fixed. Please make incredible games like Inside it is amazing 🙏.

LOOOOVE.... This is one of the best games I’ve played in a LONG time. The ambience, the heavy breathing of the character while running, the footsteps, the eery sounds, the brutal deaths...and it’s all in gray scale to top it off. It’s an amazing indie game that’s really captivating. However...It took me weeks to finish bc i kept taking breaks bc i was frustrated. The controls for this game are obviously more optimal on any platform besides mobile. It’s awkward and continuous diving/running is not compatible. At all. Disappointing there, but it is what it is. I’d urge ppl to buy it on Steam or something. If that’s not an option, I still recommend the mobile purchase because it’s not IMPOSSIBLE. Just a whole lot easier to die. Also, I saw one comment condemning the ending, but it’s one of the best endings a game has had. Not everything is straight forward. THINK ABOUT IT A LITTLE. There’s a deeper meaning!!

Super cool!. This game was super fun to play. I only played the demo but was already super into it. The graphics are on point with the mood, and the puzzles are super fun to do! You can tell that the people who created this game were super thorough when they went through it. The backstory to the game is intriguing to me as well. I only got to get hints of what’s happening tho, but that’s what makes it fun. It’s kinda spooky too, which makes it even more interesting in my opinion. For me it was easy to figure out the controls, it doesn’t really take a genius to figure out touchscreen controls 😅 I’m kind of glad there wasn’t a tutorial because that way I learned on my own faster than I would’ve running through a tutorial. The only thing that bites about this game is the price to unlock the full one, but honestly I think it might be worth it. So yeah, overall a great game even if your just going to play the demo.

Don’t pay attention to one star reviews. Apparently there are a lot of morons in the world whom can’t seem to read, and comprehend that it’s is free trial with the option to purchase. It is CLEARLY stated several times on the main description and info page. Also a ton of 1 star reviews from weird and strange people who feel entitled to a free game. What world to the live? Do you just go to the grocery, or gas station heck any store and just say hey this should be free, I don’t have the money make free, I have 1$ can’t afford make free. Heck they have the audacity to call it a scam which is insanity and outrageous. Especially when it’s a well developed games like this, they have teams of people and spend countless hours working on these games and it is there job. You don’t just get to go to game stop and say hey I don’t have moneys I want GTA 6 give me free? News flash, none of these games are free, others just have tons of countless annoying pop up adds, thank god this one does not and it’s only $7 for Christ sakes. They don’t OWE you anything free they put their hard earned time into making this it didn’t just make itself. Imagine you worked a job and someone said they don’t have the money oh well thanks for working but I will not pay you.

Insane attention to detail.. Stop rating this one star because your device isn't compatible. Playdead tried to get this running on older hardware, but it just wouldn't happen. Go blame apple Blows my mind how painstakingly scrutinized every corner of this game was. Watched many of Playdead's GDC talks, and although most of it went completely over my head, I could understand how much attention they payed to every bit of the game, even dedicating part of their talk to discussing how they fixed a very specific aliasing artifact for a single 3D asset! A fake translucency effect near the beginning of the game on a particular 3D asset apparently had a wild amount of effort put into it for just a tiny detail. I wouldn't have noticed it without reading up some blog posts on the development of the game. Graceful optimization and breathtaking art are two things I believe in greatly, and if I ever were to go into the gaming industry as a career, it'd be a dream to work at a place like Playdead, where an eye and passion for art are part of the recommendations for even the more technical roles.

It’s a step back. LIMBO is one of my favorite games. That was a true art I put 3 stars for “Inside” because I want developers to pay attention on my review. Don’t get me wrong. “Inside” is a great game and I was really excited playing it for the first time. But it’s a step back from the experience which I had with “LIMBO” Inside is not the game which I expected to see…:( This is the reasons why I took out two stars from my review: First is for the puzzles. It’s silly. The game is too easy. It’s not challenging at all. I’ve never stucked in any place of the game. Looks like developers make it for the bigger auditory. Second comes from the first. The game became boring after time. Only first locations are full of action. Most of the time your walking to the right side of the screen (sometimes you can find a secret - then just walk to the left side of the screen *haha* -_-) Non-stop walking, swimming, jumping, climbing and very very sometimes it can be creative but silly puzzles. Sometimes I feel as bored so I kill myself in some new ways just to see how he will day First locations makes me feel fully there because of the 3D surroundings. Next locations almost don’t have it The game is creative. Locations are creative. Sound, graphics atmosphere is great. Great potential - not fully realized. How come? I want to have much more experience of every developers idea. I don’t feel enough of this game I want to change this game’s difficulty from “easy” to “hardcore”

Hands down AMAZING!. I absolutely love this game. I really couldn’t l get enough of it! I played it every chance that I could get. I was glued to it and it was hard to get off because I just wanted to keep playing. When it came to the game, like most games I really didn’t expect much but everything topped my expectations .... From the way it was laid out, to the way they incorporated strategy with a little bit of a twist.. it was all just an amazing game play. There’s a good amount of levels of that’s how you want describe it but I greatly would of loved it if there were more to it. I played it so quick and was mad that it was over. It really sucked...😔 Got me hooked and left me wanting a WHOLE LOT MORE! If by any chance the developer is reading this.. I absolutely loved your game and I’m pretty sure others did as well but I would greatly appreciate it if you would make an extension of the game like an add on or something like Playdead 2. Everybody would benefit from it 😉 Really think about it..

Left in the dark.. Visually it is a great game. However, the story is far too short and the puzzles are too repetitive. There are a couple of head scratchers but once you get through them, they seem to repeat themselves. There seems to be a lot of sections where the character is just running from area to area without anything going on, no people/dogs/cameras/lights.... nothing. It’s almost like the “original” story board was too short so you added size to the universe to make the game seem longer. Besides the story being too short, there really isn’t much of a “story” to this game. I feel like I have to make one up as I’m going along; but If You’re going to ask a premium price ($6.99 is pretty high for this market place) then I feel there should have been at least some back story.... how and why the world has come to be. The controls can be a bit frustrating at times, over all the game is not bad. It’s so close to being excellent, just needs a little help. Thanks.

Obsessed.. Literally the best game ever. I’ve finished it twice and expect to play it at least several more times. Everything about Inside is amazing - the graphics, the sounds, the storyline (or lack there of), the attention to detail, the general vibe of it. I mean really - if you play this, pay attention to the background details in every scene… it’s so beautiful. I knew right away after playing the first free portion that I wanted to continue playing, and lemme just say - no regrets whatsoever. SO worth it! I’m guessing others who have finished the game probably feel the same way about the ending, wishing there was more to it, but I get it. I love hearing different takes on the meaning of the whole thing. Thank you to the creators of Inside for making such a wonderful, beautifully eerie game 🖤

More. I’m thirsty for more.. I “discovered” Limbo a few years ago and have been searching and waiting for the creation and release of Limbo 2. Only recently did I find Inside and it didn’t disappoint. The eerie atmosphere, the same unforgiving consequences towards even minor errors, the critical thinking puzzles, all of it EXACTLY what I had been craving more of since Limbo. I admit, the second half of the game, as the editor’s choice review stated “is to be experienced” more than understood so the storyline, if you can call it that, seems a bit muddled. Nevertheless, I finished the game with immense satisfaction and would encourage Playdead to hasten to completion whatever new project is in the works because, as I said in the title I just want more. Absolutely 5 stars and I look forward to additional releases games from their developers.

Not bad at all!. I played the first chapter and was immediately intrigued and wanted more. Not sure what the writers are trying to say overall, I read another review which said it may be an interpretation of the human connection, I have no idea, I would love an explanation, but an explanation really isn’t required to enjoy the game. Each chapter is a puzzle of sorts, some are very difficult, some quite easy. Evil chases you constantly, so move quickly...or should you go slow...or should you hide?? Twists and surprises lurk around every corner and the camera angles are pretty cool and add to the mystique. It’s dark, creepy, has great sound effects and super creative ideas. I enjoyed playing this game quite a bit and was almost sad when it ended, but even the end was fun and impactful. Cost was a bit steep, but by the time I was finished, I felt it was worth it. Good job guys, hope you make another!

ABSOLUTELY worth the buy!. I just finished Inside after about 3-4 days of light/moderate play. Some people have said about 3 hours play time but I would say it’s more like 4-5 altogether depending on how many times you die or how long a puzzle takes you to solve. Probably like 3 hours if you use a walkthrough the entire game, don’t take the time to get ALL the secrets and just rush through it (which would ruin the game I think). I used a walkthrough on a few puzzles if I had tried over 10 times on my own and just couldn’t understand. But I mostly tried really hard to figure them out on my own, it was much more exciting without the walkthrough. The graphics, sound effects and design of the game are fantastic. Yes, the gameplay is similar to Limbo but Limbo was much more bland than Inside IMO. I got bored with Limbo quickly but Inside was MUCH more captivating. It was hard to put it down. I found myself saying one more check point, one more puzzle. The devs did an absolutely stunning job. The story and ending could be left to your imagination...I really hope there is sequel. Great job!

Nothing bad to say really. This game was a beautiful, challenging, intriguing, and had a good plot. While the dialogue, plot, and goal of the game nor the story it is is not stated anywhere, it slowly becomes infernal, but also gives incentive to continuing the game. Having never played this game before, I finished it throughout 2 days, spending hours playing it, but if I were to play straight through it again it’d probably take 2-5 hours the second time. I love this game and the story it follows (After inferring what that story is) and the beauty of each stage as well as the creativity of the challenges. The ending though was especially beautiful in kind of an artistic manor of how it ends, but I will let you find that out yourself. ;) long story short, I highly suggest it and while the free version is good, the whole version is worth it.

Great Game by Keeping Us Clueless. I love this game for one major reason: we’re clueless as to what is actually happening in this dark world! There is no dialogue nor any cut scenes that describe what is going on in the world in which you find yourself. To develop your theory of the story you simply have to pay attention to what’s going on in the background and how you get through the game - you infer what’s happening through observation. You, like the character you play, have no idea what’s truly happening (which, in my opinion, is the fun part). Also, while there is no story explicitly given by the developers, the need to move on is and see what’s next (in hopes of fleshing out more the world and what’s going on) is the compelling drive to keep playing the game. Our lack of understanding and the need to know more becomes the reason we move from section to section and puzzle to puzzle. There are no bosses to beat, hoards to kill, items to level up, or stats to build, only the need to survive and figure out what the heck is going on... and why it’s happening to us! This game is a very unique way to present a story and allows us, the player, to be immersed and invested in the game by being as clueless as the character we control. If you like mysteries and unique games, Inside will not let you down! P.S. I have an iPhone 6s and the game works great!

Beautiful, but short.. This game was so bizarre, and so beautifully rendered. It was very fun, but very short. I’m used to putting some time into games, so I can enjoy a campaign over several weeks or months, but I finished Inside in two sessions, in about 2-3 hours, total. I’m not the kind of gamer to replay games, and this title has little to no replay value. There is only one mode, and one difficulty setting. The puzzles are relatively easy to solve. I only found myself stuck twice, and each time only for a few minutes. I used a Steelseries Nimbus controller, but without that the controls would’ve been frustrating. You swipe left and right to move (like a virtual stick) but to jump you have to swipe up, and to interact with objects you tap/hold. This scheme seems simple enough, until you reach a part where a precision jump is required, or you must interact with an object in a precise time frame. Pros: good graphics and sound, unique environments, puzzle are fun to solve, intriguing story/feel. Cons: Very short for a $7 game, touch controls can be mildly frustrating, (SPOILER ALERT) No dialog or backstory and inconclusive ending. If you were hoping the intriguing setting would be explained in the end, you’ll be let down.

Great game but has some major problems.. I absolutely love this game. The atmosphere is amazing. The amount of detail gone into every single inch of this game is beautiful. The art style is simple but personally I wouldn’t change it for the world. It has a dark and anxious feeling to it. Over all the game is beautiful. However just because the game has a good story and great detail and art style doesn’t mean it’s a perfect game. I do know that this game was not originally for mobile. However I don’t find that to be an excuse for this. The controls are all over the place. It is often hard to control the character without falling, jumping in the wrong direction, or just dying. Needless to say this ruined the game for me. I was not able to play the game as it was intended and the atmosphere was ruined in many of the parts. The sad part is, there is nothing else wrong with the game. If not for the control issues it would be a perfect 5 stars for me. However I believe this is a major issue.

Worth every penny. In this game, you start out as a little boy who climbs into the woods at the middle of the night. You must run through the forest while avoiding being captured my mysterious people in masks. You head on in a strange adventure that challenges your thinking. this game’s experience is beyond words. the atmosphere and lack of any explanation leaves the ending up to the player’s interpretation. the gameplay is very fluid, smooth and without flaw. This is one of the best games I have ever played, and I do not regret buying it. The puzzles are challenging yet entertaining and quite simple. The mystery and intrigue of this game really makes you feel involved in playing it. I am very impressed with the graphics and the game’s design along with the gameplay. I definitely recommend playing this game. It takes a few hours to complete, given if you struggle on a few of the puzzles. The sound design and music make the experience almost perfect. it is pretty much 2 dimensional, but it does have a 3d twist to it. I genuinely enjoyed playing this.

The highlights. This game is absolutely stunning and captivating. For me, the best part was actually the beginning. I loved the suspense part of being chased and sneaking. If that was a whole game I would buy it 20 times over. I know it’s meant to be a puzzle game. If Playdead developers ever see this, I would LOVE a thriller/suspense game in this style. As for the game at hand: inside is one of a kind and absorbing. There aren’t a million things on the screen telling you what to do, in fact, there aren’t any. Which is one of my favorite parts because HUDs always tend to take away from the experience to a degree. This is a game you can play all the way through and not even breathe. I don’t usually like puzzle games but I played it all the way through multiple times because I couldn’t stay away from the visuals and the atmosphere. THANK YOU Playdead. This is one of the most enjoyable games ever

My favorite puzzle/escape game thus far. I NEVER write reviews. But honestly... this game warrants it. Not only is it a visually stunning game but the storyline keeps you addicted. The controls are basic and you get used to them quickly so don’t panic when you read other reviews. Playdead did an incredible follow up to their first game “Limbo”. Unfortunately I played them in reverse order. Unfortunate not because the stories build off one another, but simply because INSIDE is just far superior in story and detail. If you like “The Room” series or “House of DaVinci” as I did this one is gonna blow you out of the water. My only disappointment with this game is I haven’t been able to find any other games that have even come close to these. If anyone has any suggestions I would be greatly appreciative. All in all.... this one is a MUST!! I can’t wait to see what they follow up with next.

Beautiful, intense, breathtaking, work of art.. This is the first 5 star game I will ever review. This game really puts you in the position of the main character and makes you feel helpless, lost, and overall the fact that the story is told through the environment is something I have to respect Playdead for. The games music is also such a beautiful thing to listen to as you traverse the land of inside. It makes your stomach drop and gives you goosebumps. It does NOT get repetitive in my opinion and does not fail to me entertain the player and keep them playing. Lastly, thank you Playdead for this beauty and masterpiece of a game. I remember playing limbo and admiring everything that the world had to offer. I tried to come up with my own theory which made things 10 times better. The feeling of uncertainty makes for the most wonderful gaming experience I will ever have.

VERY interesting and scary puzzle game. Don’t think that this is just a usual puzzle game, the puzzles in this game are very easy but it’s the actual content that is amazing. If you play for about an hour each day it will take probably 2-3 days to finish. The way the makers incorporated the puzzles into this game was perfect, I forgot most of the time that I was even solving puzzles because the content was just phenomenal and so interesting. I wish I could learn more details about the story behind this game. Although its short It’s kind of meant to be played all at once because there’s just the start and the finish and no levels or any other bs in between. And if your wondering if it’s worth the 7 dollars then I will tell you yes! But that’s just my opinion. I’ve never been into indie type games like this one, but this one was probably the most thrilling game I’ve played in a long time. BIG thanks to the makers of this game.

One of my favorites. This game; while disturbing and unsettling is a masterpiece. Right off the bat at the beginning of the game, you lose yourself in the mission of the protagonist. You don’t know what’s happening, or where you’re going, but you know it’s not safe. That is why you just run and run and run. The world has fallen into chaos, and it appears a very sinister project is going on behind the scenes. More truths are discovered as you venture into the depths whether it be in a laboratory, outside, or underwater. The game is impossible to put down, and it’s not too hard at the same time. There are a few puzzles that were pretty difficult and took me some time to figure out, but nothing too crazy. I loved this game and would recommend it to anybody who is looking for something scary to play.

Great Game but worst ending. The game is fun and almost worth the price for those who like puzzle games. The story is ok, nothing very exciting but a simple idea of a kid who is trying to escape being caught. The ending is blah as the game just ends without any conclusion or anything to explain what is going on. Overall an ok game but overpriced. I would say it is worth 2.99 and no more than 3.99 as I have played much better similar games for 2.99 or less and not 6.99. Based on my review the developer contacted me stating the price reflects the time and effort put into making the game, which is a good point but from a consumer end point, the question remains whether the game is worth 6.99 and my answer is unfortunately no as I had stated that comparable games are sold for much less. As consumers we want to support developers especially good ones and passionate ones but at the end of the day, the price of the game should reflect the quality and experience during a game and not the salaries of developers.

Final ending. I’ve been trying to get the secret ending in the orb but I can’t. There’s only one orb left and I cannot reach it no matter what I do. It’s right before you jump in the tank and walk to save all the people that are upside down in the water. Just once scene before that. When you end up in the water and you walking you trip and there’s a hole you can go in. You swim underwater and end up in a room where one of the orbs are. There’s a floating platform where where the orb sits. It’s high up there the boy can’t reach it because it’s too high above the water. Online it shows that the platform is way lower and he could easily climb up. I couldn’t grab or drag anything to help him climb and nothing online shows that the platform is high up. I can’t break the orb to get the secret ending and I’m not sure what to do. I might not see something or the inside developers just disabled the secret ending but I was wondering if there is a way to get to it or not.

Heart-Pounding Puzzler, Thrilling Climax. This is most likely my second favorite game of all time. The world you play through is eerie, fascinating, disgusting, systemic, and human. The puzzles are the perfect balance of difficult & rewarding, leaving your frustration with an ultimate “yes!” The touch controls are fluid and I had no difficulty once getting used to them. You will get caught. Out running your captors, killers, and drowners is not always the option, and if it is, then timing is everything. Ultimately this game is trial and error, you will die/fail repeatedly until you figure out the correct solution to the scenario. The game ultimately pays off by revealing what your purpose is, and it’s not what you think. The final portion of the game is fast paced and the puzzles are simpler, allowing you to get caught up in the moment. This game is an easy 9.7/10 and is absolutely worth your time and money. I’m excited for what is next in store from playdead.

One of my favorite games ever.. First off, the touch controls are as good as they can be, but if you have a Bluetooth controller, use it. Your experience will improve immensely. So what can I say? Playing this game reminds me of the best parts of Out of This World, but with faster, more intuitive gameplay, and better storytelling, graphics, music.....the whole game is fantastic. You play a child, dropped into a strange, post-apocalyptic industrial complex, with no idea who you are or why you’re there. There is no in-game dialogue, no text whatsoever....you figure out bits and hints of the story as you progress, by observing your surroundings. It’s a beautiful, alienating, at times creepy, often overwhelming game. I don’t want to describe any of the incidental details, because it’s something that needs to be experienced. My only complaint is that I don’t have more stars to give.

Beautiful yet.... Stunning artwork. Great gameplay. However, having played through (full game) multiple times, I’m left feeling it’s just too short. The puzzles are challenging but I’m wanting more. If anything, that’s a testament to the quality of the game. I want to play more. That said, while there is a heavily implied story there also isn’t a story. You don’t learn anything more of what’s happening from when you begin to when you finish. I haven’t completed all the challenges (and I’m experiencing bugs where finding them does not update/honor having completed/found them), so maybe there is a sense of finality in doing so but I’m left wanting more. Either more gameplay or more of an answer as to why/what you experience through the character matters in terms of story. I feel I can rationalize what happens in the end by my own interpretation (and maybe this is intended) but ultimately I’m left with questions that are less the result of a story open to interpretation and more a feeling of why/how does what I’ve experienced result in something conclusive? Not going to get my hopes up but would love to see an update that offers expansion on the backstory of the world you experience in game.

The Secrets this game has... I have been playing the demo cause I’m broke lol, but even In the demo there is the obvious usual gameplay and then other hidden places you can find. Right now I am trying to figure out how to open this door from underground AND I CANT FIGURE IT OUT. Also this game is best in the dark with earbuds on. You notice much more in the game with that setting. Can’t wait to play the full game, so much fun. Also the graphics are amazing, I am a huge fan of games like these like Deer God and Limbo however I feel like this is the future of games like these. And once again GRAPHICS ARE SO GOOD I love the depth of lighting and shadow, the water looks so clear and I can tell there was a lot of study put into the making of this game. Even small things like the way the boy moves to the way the animals move and it all fits excellent with the game. I love these games and hope that more of these will be created and hopefully as an adult can make games like these as well. Love it.

Incredible gameplay, thrilling story. This game is absolutely fantastic. I have no words to describe how much I enjoyed it. I have played it three or four times now, and the world the boy lives in never ceases to intrigue me. The puzzles are hard but not impossible, and every time I play it I notice some other subtle detail that contradicts any theories I had come up with. The scenery is amazingly beautiful as well, this game is a piece of art. Definitely worth the five dollars. I hope to see more games from playdead soon, since I thoroughly enjoyed Limbo as well. To the developers, keep up the good work, I hope to see more amazing games in the future. Side note: since I do not own a pc or other console, being able to play this game on my ipad is something I am grateful for. Playing it on a handheld, the controls did not seem to be hindered in any way. I actually felt more immersed, since I was controlling the boy directly with my fingers, instead of through a remote.

Cool, yet overpriced.. This was a pretty cool game. Nice graphics, but I was more intrigued by the grimness of the demo. I was hooked and needing more after the first encounter. It gets tougher as you progress, and you’ll run into the “this is impossible” scenarios, but trial and error and decent problem solving skills will get you through it. I played for 3 days. Maybe 15 minutes the first day, 3 hours or so the second day, and 1 hour the third day until it was complete. There are so many unanswered questions. The key question being what the hell is going on??! It’s a terrible feeling to watch a show or movie, read a book, or play a game and, at the end, be left clueless. A short comic at the end showing what happened to get to the game’s present would have been perfect. Even with that though, the ending needs to be cleared up somehow. I feel like I enjoyed playing through it all so much and wanting to know the end game so badly, only to get to the end and be let down. An editor said “the game was meant to be experienced and not understood” but who wants to NOT understand something after playing through it for all that time AND spending a meal worth of money for it?? I feel very let down.

It plays like Limbo with a few key differences overall. In general I enjoyed the whole game, and several of the puzzles are really clever. However there were “more” of those clever puzzles in Limbo. Some of them ( referring to INSIDE) are really easy. It seems the most significant difference between the games is the budget. The “scenes” are really massive and you can spend a long time just going to the edge of a puzzle area. A lot of effort went into the sound, foreshadowing impending doom, and the scenery in general. The controls are also pretty good. Some complain about it being short. It seems to be about the same length as Limbo, but again some of the puzzles are easier, and the significant increase in “land to cross” changes the feel of the “length” of the game when you subtract the walking time. While I was completely satisfied with my purchase, I would prefer the puzzles be closer together, and I spend more time thinking about how to get to the next area as opposed to looking around.

I'm disappointed. This game was very well made and very interesting the settings were great and the graphics were good too. But I was confused at the end and it led me to feel unsatisfied. No questions were answered instead Piled with more. The free trial made me think that we would get to see and understand the world better while solving the mysteries with the puzzles. but all we did was go through the building and out. I was hoping to feel inspired and uplifted as the end credits rolled. But all I felt was unsatisfied. After all the things I went through with the boy I wanted some closure and a powerful ending but instead, the boy got sucked into a meatball person thing. The game itself is good I’m just disappointed with the lack of thought into the plot/story. I think this game had a lot of potential but who am I to say I’m not a gamer or critic this is just my personal opinion. If you like solving puzzles for 2-3 hours with nice graphics this is the game for you.

This Game Was Good.... Ok hear me out. Inside blowed my mind. Like what happened at the end, are they going to make an inside 2 I wish but I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♂️. If there not going to make and inside 2 I will because the game has me thinking for about 3 months already so please I beg you guys to make an inside 2 continue if you guys don’t I would probebly because the game has got inside in me and I love the graphics and the game so much so please make one... Oh and one more thing Limbo was a good game that reminded me of inside. Me: to PlayDead. I know you guys are making a game that I have no idea. this Is my mind if I made Inside 2.0 It’s Starts He gets out of that big blob there’s a boat there he gets In the boat and goes to the next area and the same kidnappers try to capture him and he keeps running and running until he meets that girl in the water that was trying to hunt him. they become friends and go together to the place and then you put one of those kind control and rule the world Thank You So Much For Creating Inside It Has Changed Me And My Life After The Game and I’m Only 13 Years Old I know Crazy How I’m thinking All of That When I’m 13 years old. One More Thank You PlayDead I wish We See Each Other Agian 🤝...

Seriously RECOMMENDED, One of the best Mobile games I have ever played!! 5stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I was supposed to write this years ago but here I go…sigh…. I just can feel and I can tell how humble this idea was create it ,I don't know if I’m wrong but, that’s the main reason why I love this game, Because it seem and it feel so humble ,I really think This game is super cool ,I give recognitions to the creators for having such genius creativity ,I can say that without regrets I have spent countless hours playing this game and in my opinion it “shows” that is a “simple” but seriously is a super Genius Game ,I love it the idea, is Amazing and the gameplay is awesome ,it even surprised me because I wasn't expecting it to be so good, and really like how many friends and people who noticed me playing the game they instantly asked me the name of the game so they can download it , I’m no a “professional gamer” or “official Games Critic” but I sure love to give this game a 5stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and a huge Thank you!! to the people who created this game,It’s an art-piece and a master-piece , and also thanks to those highly valuable persons who most likely worked very hard so they can make it possible for me to be able for me to download.

Amazing Game, Disappointing Ending. I throughly enjoyed playing Inside. The detail in the artwork is stunning, and the puzzles can be challenging and really get your mind thinking. My biggest issue is the ending (I wont be spoiling anything). I completed the game’s normal ending in about 3-4 hours, though it still felt too short. The ending of Inside is confusing, and I honestly can’t tell whether or not the way it ended was good or not. I would’ve liked to have known more about the actual story going on in the dystopian world around the character, but you don’t get to know anything except for what’s actually happening at the moment around you. Also without spoilers, I feel the Secret Ending was also lacking in giving the player satisfaction. I was completely immersed while playing, and the game was definitely worth the the price. I was just really disappointed and left with more questions then answers with how they decided to finish off their amazing game. Even for an open-ending, I feel there should’ve been more.

Great game. This game was just as good as I was hoping when I downloaded it. Puzzles and graphics are on point. The only thing that stopped me giving it the full 5 stars were the controls ( sometimes ran out of space when trying to run or swim) and the very lame ending scene. The rest was epic. Great game and very cute interesting games I have played in years. Not sure the length of the game warranted the price but still loved the game.

Oh my goodness. I’ve never come across a game so incredible and detailed. The developers have thought about everything single little inch of grass to every little movement of the little boy. This game is much better than LIMBO, I found, as the boy was easier to control, the puzzles were still hard, but less frustrating and the storyline was more obvious and you really felt connected to the character. Every step you take is another twist in your stomach as each threat poses a new challenge. The secret ending and the orbs are also little extras that add to the game’s mystery and wonder. This game is amazing and I really hope the developers make another game like it.

Absolutely brilliant!. Now, I must admit....I don’t please easily when it comes to games or pay for them for that matter, but after the free trial, I was hooked! Absolutely love everything about this game, it’s dark, scary, and challenging, even made me say quite a few swear words, lol. Have just downloaded Limbo now after playing inside 3 times in a row! Went back and found all the secrets 😊Only complaint, it wasn’t long enough 😩😩 Great job peoples, whats next??!! ♥️

Quite... confusing. I find it quite frustrating how when I downloaded the game and I had to retry downloading it 2 times cause I was at a shopping centre. It finally downloaded and I was quite sad to find the protagonist trying to shove a cassette tape into a Nintendo 64 (someone did describe the screen this way but hey! I can copy all I want) I was also quite confused because in the apple combatibility section thingy said it works on my IPHONE but in the description says it doesn’t, like bruh... Anyways I have a question. Is the game compatible with iPad 6th Gen??

First review ever. Literally the most immersive/addictive app/game I have ever spent money on. In a word, beautiful. From the sound to the light to the quirks and intricacies .. it’s simply beautiful. It’s clear the creators cared greatly about the experience and the feeling that would resonate with anyone wise enough to spend money on the full product.

Doesn’t work on my device. This is frustrating because it said it did work on my device in the description of the game but it shows a sad kid shoving a cassette tape into a sega genesis, by instead I bought it for my Xbox 1 because I was a huge fan of limbo. The gameplay is great. There’s an interesting story that gives you very little information on what’s going on but just enough for you to theorise and debate on with your friends, if you have any. The graphics are beautiful and the gameplay mechanics are unique and interesting. Sometimes the puzzles didn’t fit in the area of the game, for example it took me ages to figure out a puzzle at the start of the game but it took me 3 minutes at most to figure out some later in the game. That’s not to say it’s all super hard at the beginning, it’s just mixed and inconsistent. O5er than that I really like it. I give this game 5 stars, but imma decrease it to 4 because it doesn’t work on my device. Cheers

Play this whole game now. This was quiet literally the best game I have ever played on an app ever. Its like creating your own dark movie. The story is intense and the graphics that make up the games world are absolutely incredible! The puzzles used to progress are challenging yet never too hard to keep you stumped for too long so that you can keep on enjoying the game. Honestly i would have paid double the requested full version price after having just understand how sick that was on completion! If you’ve played limbo you’ll froth this way more and if not get it anyway!

Happy to review any other games. Was very impressed with the game the mermaid part right to the end was hard but after that it gets easy like most games apart from to mermaid bit at the end 10 out of 10 just thought for a paying game would have lasted more then the one day

Artistic & Legendary. It’s puzzles you have to figure out aren’t too difficult and they’ve all been well designed. As you figure them out it’s the story and the graphics and their creativity that leaves you speechless. The graphics are flawless and whoever designed it all went beyond beyond beyond. The movement, backgrounds and concepts are fantastic.

Amazinf. This was SO GOOD!! I got it while I had covid, and spent a whole day on it and enjoyed it so much. The play style is really easy to get the hang of, and the storyline slowly unravels itself as you play. I honestly didn’t expect the ending at all but it was all amazing. I honestly cannot praise this beautiful game enough!!!

Creepy. Really cool. Only played the free beginning. Was pulled in from the very start. The character arrives on the screen and you start pulling him along with your finger and you’re like corrr. Got scarier and scarier as I went along. Was playing late at night and was like phwooar. The only thing that’s stopping me from coughing up the 11 bucks is that it’s too scary and I don’t have a job. If there’s a sale, I’m sure I’ll be able to stretch the budget to buy it.

Great Game. This really is a great experience, the graphics, the audio are all 5 stars. Even the length of the game is spot on, not too short, not too long, there were only 2 parts where I had to look it up on the net to figure out what to do, apart from that it was challenging but not insanely so. Can’t wait for the next instalment of this game!

Immersive. Mesmerizing. Artful.. This truly is a wonderful game. The music, the atmosphere, the sense of mystery, the animation, the challenges and the puzzles. Just another level. Art direction picks up where limbo was and then ups the ante. It’s a real work of art. You’ll love it. And if you don’t love it, you don’t know what quality is.

Confused Customers.... Okay, so it clearly states in the apps description which device is compatible, so don’t blame the developer when your unsupported device can’t run the game. I have loved this game from the very beginning, I have bought it for PC, PS4 and now iOS! I am very excited about this release and I’m really happy the developers were able to port the game to iOS! It’s an incredible experience, this game is exceptional, thrilling and puzzling. It is well worth the money!

Explore a creepy yet moving story. Well worth the buy if you like contained narrative-driven puzzle games that will take you away for a few hours over a couple of days. So spooky and so beautiful. Doesn’t collect any of your data, doesn’t show any ads (even before purchase). A wonderful game with the same vibe as Limbo.

Incredible....but. Absolutely love everything about this game, the gameplay, the graphics, music really draw you in. It does however shut down at the point where everyone is peering through a window into a room, each time I reload it shuts me out. Any help guys?

Doesn’t work on IPad Air or IPhone 6. This is frustrating as in the description it says that it is compatible with IPhone, IPad, IPod etc and yet it does not work, but even though the game does not work the manufacturing of the game is remarkable the design of the game is interesting. The design on the boy and his expression is a sad movement, this movement expresses the real essence of the game.

Most awesome, mysterious puzzle game I have ever played. This game is just straight up awesome. The design is great, the gameplay is smooth, and the story has many twist and turns. I remember downloading it on my iPad and then deleting it because I couldn’t get past a part. And I recently re-downloaded it on my family but phone and finished it. And then ending was so unexpected. I can’t really remember half of it though, since it actually saved my progress from last time I played it.

I wish it was all for free. I love the challenges in this game and it is the best adventure game out there. Where is the boy? I am asking this question because why is he in such a gruesome world? I would have given it a five star but i wish it was all for free so thrilled could play all of it. It is the best adventure game because it gets tense and challenging. If you haven’t played the game and your looking for i good adventure game I would recommend this game to you.

Most beautiful game. It’s an eerie world and awakening that is tranquil yet menacing and peaceful yet ominous. Each scene is so beautiful with motion and detail and the puzzling aspects are difficult enough to scratch your head but not to quit. Addicted from the get go, only sad that it finished despite its gorgeous finality. There are some very cool warped minds behind this and I pray a new release isn’t too far away...!!!! Greatest game I’ve ever played/ been immersed in! Worth it in every sense!

Buy this game! You won’t regret it.. This game is great. The controls are simple and intuitive, and the puzzles are very well thought through. Even though there are no words in the game, there is an incredible amount of world-building. The tension is perfectly balanced, and the ending is weird but strangely uplifting. This game is immensely atmospheric and engrossing, and I have recommended it to many, many people. I am waiting for this studio to release a new game, and when they do, I will buy it immediately, on the strength of this one.

Absolutely Stunning. After falling in love with Limbo years ago, I knew I had to buy Inside. I was initially disappointed at how basic the game seemed, and the use of colour seemed a cheap way to make it seem like a ‘new’ game. After half an hour and having made some progress, I was hooked. I can’t believe how deeply I fell into the world this game portrays. It is absolutely captivating. So dystopian and yet so relatable. In some ways, it reminded me of Portal 2 with the feelings of loneliness, isolation, and the sheer size of the environment. The storyline progresses nicely, and there were very few stupidly annoying puzzles compared to Limbo (like the antigravity sections for example). I cannot wait to see what PlayDead come up with next.

Get this game!. I started out with the free version, and was then compelled to purchase the full one. What I found was that while at the beginning the story seems simple enough, there is more to this game than I could have ever imagined. Well worth the money. An amazing game. (Perhaps game is not the right word.) (Also, some reviews discuss the issue with incompatibility. Mine worked fine. Maybe this was fixed?)

Much recommended. It was more than just a game it was a work of art, the meaning are embedded deep within and open to interpretation, there were so many symbolism involved in the storyline. I literally got myself lost inside it’s beautifully grotesque design and animations. Was well worth the money I paid for.

Wow. I never write reviews but felt compelled to for this game. Yes you have to pay for it, Yes it’s on the expensive side, but it is well worth it. The game is both beautiful and ugly at the same time. The puzzles are well thought out and some will leave you pulling your hair out. This has been an absolute joy to play. I look forward to the next instalment. I just hope you continue to develop them.

Amazing game, if you liked LIMBO then get INSIDE. Great work on this app. This took me all weekend to finish and I was not disappointed. Some of those puzzles had me going for hours when the answer is right in your face. I loved the use of sound effects on one particular puzzle (one with the circular thing moving and the ladder) when I solved that and the music started I felt like I entered the MATRIX. Top work team, I cannot wait for your next installment. 5 stars from me, best game I’ve played this year on iPhone.

Changing the Game. Inside will have you sucked into a weird and dark reality within the first few minutes of game play. With improved visuals that have been built on top of its predecessor Limbo, Inside uses vast landscapes and almost rhythmic motion to capture your attention and pull you into a gloomy and often confusing narrative. With a price tag similar to that of a new release rental the game does a great job of telling a story while also making the viewer solve logical puzzles with the occasional challenge. Insides format is a great cross between a movie and a video game and helps pave the way for more just like it.

Dark - Adults Only. Thought best to delete the trial because I have a 4 year old son who loves the iPad and plays Monument Valley and The Room series by himself. I like the graphics and feel and gave it a 4 after only 10 minutes but would not like my boy to stumble across Inside where a kid gets shot, savaged to death by a dog or forcibly drowned by a man in a dark stream during the course of play. Not really a criticism of the game, but best not to have on a device that is shared with young children. I might d/l it at a later date.

Does not work on my device unfortunately. I have watched my friend play this game and we both love this game a lot, but when I opened the app it said that it was- unfortunately- not compatible with this device. I still love the game, but it would make it ten times better if it was available on my device. I hope that you see this review and make it so it’s available on all devices, thank you.

Absolutely amazing. When I first started playing this game I couldn’t figure out how to get past the first wall. Then I watched a walk through and soon figured out the rest. The graphics are beautiful and eerie at the same time. There is so much detail put into it like the ripple of a puddle when you walk through it and wave of the ferns as you brush past them. It got dark really quick when the kid was shot yet there was something so fun about it. I felt like I was in the actual game. The only issue I have with it is when I ever I get out I have to keep the game open or I have to start all over again. This get really annoying as I have a habit of getting rid of all my open apps before I turn my phone off. I would really appreciate and update where you can save your progress and go back to it, even if you’ve closed the app. Other than that, this game has been one of my top 3 and I am super glad I got it.

This game is sooooooo fun!. I was looking at horror games then I found inside I already have it on tv but I thought it would be cool playing on a iPad and I would do Everything to support the game I mean what is wrong with the game?? The game gots a secret ending please get this game if someone is looking at it but I was thinking what about a INSIDE 2? That would be AWSOME!! I kinda was really interested so I got it when I was 9 sorry I’m still 9 on one stag I got caught by the guys but oh my that guys could run on the floting water:my dad thought it was a glitch:he was sonic that man got me in a matter of 2 seconds great game!!

Too expensive. Just from playing the free section it seems like a great game but $11 is way too expensive for a mobile game. I understand they have to make money and I would’ve been happy to pay $5 for it but for me it’s too expensive

Truely Amazing but.... This game is, to put is simply, stunning. The style is beautiful and the storyline is so in depth. Although this game is so good I don’t like the fact that you have to pay for the full version, 10 dollars is a bit too much for an iOS game. I understand the reasoning behind this but I think that the free version should have been at least a little bit longer. Apart from this I love the game, amazing job developers.😁😁😁

Please make it compatible with any device. I agree with you plz make the l compatible and I am using ipod89 at the moment and I was disappointed that it would not work and took a while for it to load so can you do favour and make it compatible with any device

Beautiful port. Although Inside is categorised as a 2D platformer, the dynamic nature of the eerie and mysterious environment makes it feel like a 3D game. Playdead did an excellent job in creating a mobile version of this game. It has iCloud and controller support, Game Center achievements, and even a chapter select menu where you can replay certain parts of the game.

Greatest game I’ve ever played on iPhone. Truly, this game is an absolute masterpiece. The graphics and camera mechanics are exceptional, the movement and control is far more intuitive than LIMBO and the overall feel and mood genuinely had me on edge in some parts. I still have no idea about THAT ending but what a journey. Thank you so much for this mind bending, genuinely interesting and immersive experience.

A Dark Masterpiece. From the very moment I laid my eyes on this game I just had a feeling that it would be great. This creepy, dark puzzle platform really stands out compared to many other games. It’s crazy how there is no dialogue or voice whatsoever and yet the story is great! One thing I would like to say however is that the controls can be a bit ‘funny’. Apart from that it’s a great game!

Does it really work on every device ?. This game in general is literally the best I’m still giving it a 5 star rating but, is this really compatible on every device? The list shows the devices that it can be played on, one of it mentions iPad mini 3, and right now that is what I am using. Disappointingly I bought it and it took a while to download. When it was downloaded, it says it’s not compatible with my device, I check the app again and it says it’s compatible with my device. This is my only complaint to the game, please fix this I want to enjoy this masterpiece you call a game.

Personally, one of my favourite games.. This game has everything. Mystery, perfect puzzles, action, realistic animation, completion story, great graphics, unique art style, interesting gameplay, satisfying conclusion and much more. Just an overall perfect experience. It’s the perfect game for me. It proves how much the developers have learned since Limbo, and how much effort they put into this game. I absolutely love this game. I recommend buying the full version to experience the entire game, and to also support these talented developers to do more like this. 10/10 would Defiantly recommend to anyone who likes mysterious puzzle/parkour games like Limbo.

Great game. Did the trial version, straight away bought the full version, hooked me straight away. Definitely don’t mind spending money on awesome games. I have nothing negative to say about it. Well done devs, keep games like this coming. Just need to go back and find the secrets now, was too keen to see what was next.

An Incredible Experience. It’s hard to explain the extent to which this game grips the player. It’s best played in the dark of night, alone with headphones. The terms nadir and zenith are interchangeably relevant to Inside, the atmosphere created by Playdead is a stark demonstration of human society at its nadir, while the experience as a whole represents a zenith in touch screen gaming. I await Playdead’s next release with much anticipation. Thank you.

Amazing 10/10. The colour scale and story line is so beautifully unexpected! The challenges/puzzles are so much fun to figure out and always have fairly easy solutions once you get there, never played anything like it, there is a heavy lack of tutorials and hints which really give a great sense of accomplishment when you pass a puzzle/challenge area. 10/10 would recommend purchasing the full version, I was hooked from start to the end credits and sincerely hope there is another game coming! Thank you for this app, it’s been amazing to play and get through.

Please enable family sharing. I absolutely love the game and its design. Quite possibly the best game I’ve ever played. But it doesn’t support family sharing. So I can’t play the full game on my device because it doesn’t support family sharing. My dad purchased the full games on his account but I can’t play the full game. Please do something about this.

Best game I have ever played. This is the first game that has not asked me yet to review them , and still this is my first written review for any game I have played. That’s how much I liked this game. Amazing graphics, easy controls , simple puzzles , great story, beautiful music. Overall extremely satisfied with my purchased ,I would recommend this too everyone . I hope you guys make more type of these games or maybe an Inside 2! Appreciate your hard work!

Wondrous. Brilliant, the best game I’ve ever played. Also, everyone who can’t read and is giving this game a 1 star rating, shame on you. iPhone 6S has a much more powerful chip than the 6. It wouldn’t run on an iPhone 6. An iPad Air 2 is NOT the same thing as an iPad Mini 2. It’s not going to be made available for those devices because they aren’t powerful enough to run such a cutting edge game. Get a newer phone or get over it.

Blurry graphics / great game. I was wondering, why does it have blurry graphics for me? Is it like that for everyone else? I have a iPhone 7+ and I tried reopening it, otherwise from that, this is a great game! I like the storyline and everything, I have been wondering, do you have enough time to make the story longer? If not I’m fine with that too, keep going Playdread! 🙂

Exciting but in the end, simple enough. Unfortunately for a game where the only two controls is ‘move forever in the same direction’, and ‘interact with environment’, it proves to be a quick game to beat. Puzzles cleverly designed, absolutely, which prove fun and momentarily challenging, but soon with only two controls to choose from, you more or less pick it up very quickly and with some smart thinking allows you to solves the puzzles with speed. Therefore the price isn’t justified. Clocked in two days.

Amazing, please make more!. I played limbo several months ago and went onto the app store just to see if someone had created something similar, inside is even better and I would highly suggest playing it if you like a challenge and have an open mind. The people that made these applications need to make many more, put the price up if you need to and I’ll still be a buyer! Keep up the good work.

Simply beautiful. I found every aspect of this game simple, and beautiful. The more you play through, the better it gets. There were multiple totally unexpected surprises. Absolutely loved the sound design, the camera angles, the characters... just all of it. Do yourself a favour, if you even remotely enjoy the free demo, definitely purchase the full game. It’s a bit on the short side, but I’ll definitely be replaying, probably more than once.

Amazing but,. I think this game is amazing I love the graphics and the are incredible with detail but, I think it’s a bit gory with the dogs and him getting shot and some weirdos snapping the boys neck. And finally I’m stuck on the shock wave part could you pls help other than that I think it is an incredible game

Good but…. This game was amazing and super fun at the beginning but after you make it past the road and into the cornfield it gets boring from there and the puzzles are way too easy I feel like this is a waste of money and it’s not a fun game unless you’re into games that are pretty simple I love the action of the first part but after a while it gets boring I recommend it but be careful when purchasing.

I love it. I love it. It gives me these weird vibes. Definitely worth playing

❤️. This game is so fun, but there’s no tutorial but you’ll eventually figure it out!! Amazing game would recommend. i sadly cannot afford the full game but, it’s very amazing❤️❤️

Good but short. The game is great (although the puzzles are too easy) but it’s to short.

Nope. It’s a beautiful game but incredibly annoying that you can’t save in the demo and need to restart each time. I gave up after the controls kept glitching.

Nice game. Very good game

Horrible control. I understand they wanted the game to be immersive but couldn’t they add a joystick?????

Y. Was looking so forward to the game, but it’s not compatible with my device! What the heck?? Can you guys please maybe fix it so it would be compatible? I’m not trying to ruin your ratings but this is how I feel.

Shut up bozos. for all the idiots who are giving crap about this game costing money, a whole team worked on it and they didn’t spend hundreds of hours just to make u idiots happy

Fun game. It’s fun to play but I’m just bad at it and have been stuck on a level for a month. Really fun though

Kooky head. It’s a good game, honestly the whole time I was running my heart was like BoomBoom omg I was so scared I’d get caught. Why I only did 4 stars is because when the kid gets caught, the men are literally trying to kill him thats the only think I kinda don’t like but other then that it’s a good game I suppose.

I want my money back. its not a bad game but its not something i want to play no offence,

Controller support would make it great. Sadly this game does not support controllers despite it being a perfect candidate for a controller supported game.

curiosity can only go so far.. i want to like this game but it’s very annoying when you don’t know what you are suppose to do. i mean couriosity can only go so far until you piss someone off.

Game. Why make the game free if you have to pay for the full game!!! Dumb! Love the game play but it’s just retard to pay 10$ for the full game.

I love this game. This game is really fun but please make the full game freee please or don’t it’s fine but just I definitely recommended this game👌👌👌👏👏

Great game but to short. I loved the gameplay never got boring at all, but when I paid I was hoping for a little more gameplay. I played through the game in like a hour and a half. Besides that awesome story and amazing graphics.

Fun, captivating, awesome!. fun, captivating, intriguing, easy to play although sometimes you need a little patience with the controls. Beautiful puzzles. What I also like is that every clue has a meaning. Almost impossible to go around in circles. Some ridiculous apps make you spend a fortune unnecessarily, while this game you only pay a small amount and you will get 10x the amount spent. I adore !!

Extremely addictive!!. I just finished the game, and personally I loved it! Every little challenge was very intriguing. I love the way this game makes you think without making so hard you can’t do it. The graphics are amazing and the story line is impeccable! I wish there was more, I'm DYING to know how it ends. I want to know what they were trying to do with the experiments. PLEASE MAKE MORE! I BEG YOU!!!

A masterpiece just wow. I haven’t payed for the full game yet but I have played the demo and I just have to say WOW this is AMAZING my number one favorite game

Bad. This is such a bad game It did not tell you that you would have to buy the game to continue to play the full game I would never recommend this. such a bad game

Great Game, sucks that people are idiots. I played the experience and loved it. It gave me many tense moments and many of me rejoicing of not dying. And I'm sorry for the damn idiots who didn't see that it's only compatible with IPhone 6S and above. Don't blame the developers just because your device is too old to handle it.

Worst game ever.. This game is weird but do you know why? The reason is I’m stuck in the beginning where you have to cross the lake first you need to move when the guards don’t see you then you do it again and again then it suddenly stops then the guard will keep an eye on you and you can’t move for 12 hours if you do they will send a guard dog to rip you apart in the game then you will lose if I have to rate this game I will rate it a 0/10 and I also deleted it sorry😩😅

Woww just amazed. Bought the game.. same developer from limbo so was like this game would be killer.. amazing graphics sound effects and all.. $9.99 is too much but worth it

Sucks that you had to buy it. Sucks that you had to buy it.

Why is the full access expensive. Read the title

Really good. But this needs to be 17+

I couldn’t stop playing.. I love the game. But the final is rather sad.

Good. Played the demo and liked the game but I don’t rlly understand the story.also wish it was free

10/10. Just from the demo you can tell this is an amazing game. Chef’s kiss on the graphics and game play in general. Best game I’ve ever played, I just wish it cost less 😊❤️

GREAT but I’m stuck. I loved the mechanics and graphics and it was amazing but I got stuck in the barn I couldn’t push the hay bale

Spooky. Sound design and gameplay made me feel like I was in the world and I just only played the demo

Stat with the free version. The beginning of the story was awesome, but the thrill from the start quickly fade away when you spend the entire rest of the game without running from gards of dogs again and messing around with the puzzle controlling other persons. For me, the free portion is the best part of the game

Pay. It was an amazing demo, except I don’t like that you have to pay to play more of the game.Amazing game overall, the controls were awesome. And the puzzles were fun as well.Would recommend to everyone, who wants to pay.

GREAT game. I played the demo version like 3 times I want the full game I just wish it was free

Not compatible. I’ll give this five stars just so I don’t hurt its overall rating. I was suuuuper hyped when I saw that Inside was coming to IOS, but after it released and I downloaded it the game told me my IPhone 6 isn’t compatible

Saw markiplier do this one already. Good game cant wait to do it on my own

loved. one of best

Controller. Plssss can you add controller support

Love it. I played the demo and I love it already, the controls are kinda weird and there’s no tutorial but you’ll figure it out. The graphics are also incredible, I can’t believe this is a mobile game!

Controller support. Please add controller support! I love this game but it would be so much better with controller support, thank you:)

Great game. I’ve played it and the fact that you have to figure it out in your own makes the game feel so raw and exciting

Fun in places, not as fun in others. The game can be very frustrating at times. Puzzles are challenging, and it’s rewarding when you finally figure them out. The world is beautiful and very strange. Worth playing through for sure. They put a lot of effort into it. The cost is not that high. C’mon, people have to realize it costs money to make games and developers can’t give them away for free just because whiny users complain.

Proble. I think you should make it free because not of a lot of families have that much money and some people are trying to save for this game. That’s all I’m gonna say I played the preview amazing hoping on getting it for my birthday. Thank you.

Not compatible for iPods. I downloaded this app but once I opened it it wasn’t compatible for my iPod. I was really looking forward to playing this game. Can you please make it work for iPods too???

SO GOOD. SO GOOD you NEED to download this, it’s SO FUN although I find it’s much more fun and easy to play on a console rather than an iPad/Phone

Good. The game is really fun, there is one problem tho, When I play the game and I get to a “checkpoint” and I leave the game. The progress doesn’t save. I don’t know if it’s a bug or this is supposed to be like this but it’s really annoying. When I got to apart where you have to swim, I had to go and when I came back I opened the game and it put me back to the beginning. The game is incredibly realistic and very fun, I suggest playing this 👍

Worse game ever. The controls of this game are so badly designed that it is almost impossible to play it. Ok, the decors are cool, but what is the point if the game is practically unplayable? DONT BUY THIS, you will be sooooo disappointed.

Good game. Amazing I just wish it where Free then I would play every day

Love it but. I love it but the controls aren’t too good

Amazing. I played this game on my PS4 in 2016. But when I realized that there was a free demo on the App Store I had to play it again to jog my memory. Inside is just as good as I remember it being! The atmosphere is amazing the puzzles are amazing and I especially like the replay ability of it. only two small problems that I have with the game. The first one is that every 15 minutes or so the game does freeze on my phone not sure if that’s my phones problem or the game. though this does not affect the gameplay too much. The second thing is the ending it’s very confusing and you really need to think about it in order to sort of understand it. not saying that’s a huge problem though I’m just stupid.

Ok.. Well I love the beginning. Honestly I suspected it would need pay and that was the demo, but after playing it that makes sense. While maybe the pricing is a bit high, the dev(s) seem to have worked hard. It’s their game. So why write a review over “it costs money” when it seems to be worth it? You’re not rating the game, but the fact that you don’t want to pay for a mobile game. I understand that. I won’t buy it, but I had to write a review because of all the people who trash it for the cost. BTW if anybody who complained about it being appropriate, you’re dumb. That’s no reason to rate a game with 1 star. And no, that wasn’t a pig’s tail. Take a second look. It’s a worm, a parasite.

Excellent game! Savor it! Don’t binge it!. I absolutely love this game. It was so weird, the puzzles were good, and at times it made me feel scared. The drowner long haired thing was so freaky I had to stop some nights. This was definitely better than Limbo but Limbo was pretty cool too. Absolutely totally worth it. The only suggestion for the game developers was to maybe have a better ending. I would have really liked to move around at the end and done some dance or are some food or something. But I was just so sad at the end because not only was it over but I felt like it could have had something more rewarding. But alas it was still really good.

The Unseen Story. I feel that the story behind the protagonist is that they were once apart of a crowd of bystanders in a world where it seemed like no one except for the government that ruled everyone’s lives had a say, until finally the protagonist decided to do something about it. They once stood by silently and watched the world go on around them without ever standing up for what they believed in when their morals were questioned, until one day they broke away from that crowd and left their old life behind in search of the one-man rebellion that we see during the in-game story. The story and the gameplay are both beautifully crafted, and it is well worth paying for in order to see the tale that unfolds beyond the free demo.

Pretty good. So the beginning was really good and I played it all the way through in 5 hrs or so. The story line would have been better if it was explained before or during. I had no idea what i was doing this for. Some parts were better than others. Very good graphics, however ending left me feeling like I wanted my money back. It made me feel like all the progress was for nothing. It felt short and the ending leaves you wondering what next? I probably would have liked it more if the boy gets out and goes home or something. Honestly overall I really liked it. This may be cool to read if they somehow made it into a book. Don't but the full version unless you really really liked the free part. But I would probably pay for a second one if it was out.

Best video game experience in years. INSIDE is the best indie title I have ever played period. Pretty much every major game reviewer has said that this game is a 10/10 MASTERPIECE, but the question still remains “Should you buy the game here.” In my opinion this game has lost nothing in its transition from console to mobile. This is the same $20 game that you’d get for the Xbox, ps4 etc. The only problem I’ve seen people have with the IOS version would be confusion around the controls. To put it simply, the best way to play INSIDE on IOS is with both of your thumbs. Left thumb for walking/running. Right thumb for jumping/interaction. If you try to use one thumb for every ability, you may find your thumb continuously sliding off of the screen due to the many instances where running and then jumping forward multiple times is required. If you’ve played the demo you’ll know what I mean. I have played through this beautiful game 6 times now and have never once had a problem with the controls, graphics or story. If you want a thought provoking puzzle platformer/thriller this is the game for you.

Review - Switch and Mobile. I enjoyed the game on both platforms! The mechanics and atmosphere are wonderful and the sound effects (footsteps, breathing, etc) make you feel immersed in the game’s world . I would recommend playing with headphones or sound, it improves the experience greatly. —————————————————————————My only complaint is that it is difficult to locate the glowing orbs! There are some that I cannot find, even after playing through multiple times. I can always use a walkthrough, so it’s not that bad. Another complaint (Switch version only) is that you have to wait a while for the game to load after death, but the game doesn’t lag at all during play-through so it’s a fair trade.

Beautiful and horrifying.. This game has remarkable graphics, and all of the details contribute to the eeriness of the plot line. The puzzles are challenging and the solutions are imaginative. This is a very unique game and I enjoyed playing it greatly. I normally lose interest and leave games incomplete, but this one hooked me until the very end. I was impressed by the realistic physics of the gameplay! My only complaint is that the plot left me for wanting more, by the end I didn't feel fulfilled, but maybe that's the point. All-in-all, my time spent playing has been nerve-wracking and deeply unsettling. The days I spent the most time in this fantasy land were concluded by graphic and disturbing dreams of being chased and mauled. Very well done.

Love it!. Ok I love the creepy ( under water girl from the ring) yet hurry up and figure this puzzle out feeling this game gives. But the only thing is I am so use to using a game controller that I don’t think that some of the precision moves that some parts of the game calls for... its not easy to play on a mobile device with ur fingers. What’s awesome is it can be played on ur Apple TV with a game controller and I like that a lot. But if u expect to play on ur phone and pick up where u left off and play on ur Apple TV it’s not possible. The game doesn’t save across devices like to the cloud. Idk if that is something Apple hasn’t gotten to yet or if it’s how apps save idk. But it would be awesome if that was a feature for Apple users who use multiple Apple devices.

Beautiful Game. This game is a work of art. It blew my mind away and I enjoyed every second of it. I’m not a gamer so this lasted me pretty long. It took me about more than a month to finish it due to my busy schedule. I love the art, the concept, and all of the work put into this game. Definitely worth every single penny! It’s so unique, different, and wondrous. Definitely was like a euphoria playing this game and getting more into the story. Although I wish the ending was better and explained. It seemed like it was cut short right there. I have no idea if the blob died or not. If the entire thing was planned. If the blob was calling for the boy. If the boy controlled the blob or if the blob controlled the boy. There was a lot of lose ends that I was hoping would be tied, but I suppose not.

Loved it until the end... Great game! Beautiful scenery! Took a while to gets used to the controls and grabbing stuff but once I did it was smooth sailing..... until the end. I don’t want to spoil it but at the end the controls were just annoying and the character wouldn’t do what I wanted it to do so I spent like 5 extra minutes on a repeating the same action because the character wouldn’t move or throw things correctly. I got extremely annoyed. Also the very ending...???? What was the story? What was the purpose?? Great game but I got lost with where the storyline was trying to go at the end. I also ran into a puzzle that had no answer but was just there to fool people? Or maybe it did have an answer and I couldn’t solve it but it wasn’t part of the main storyline so I just kept moving past it.

And then it gets weird.... The developer is a sheer madman — the depth and intrigue found in this game is a delightful blend of suspense, terror and puzzle solving. It’s not an overly complicated game, but that is part of the elegance — sometimes it really is that simple you find, after you’ve died a dozen times in the same spot! For fans of Limbo, this does not disappoint. Might be a bit pricey for some, but it really is just moving artwork. Simple, minimalistic, and so far about 2 days of casual fun that I keep finding myself going back after I put it down to take a break! Bravo, and encore!! // edit, 2nd playthrough about a year later. Pretty much everything I said above still relates, however upon my second playthrough a year later, I find myself a bit annoyed with the ending. In Limbo, an objective of sorts is achieved that ties the game off. Im not going to spoil it, Play Dead knows, fans of Limbo know. In this, not only are we left with "what was the point", there is no real closure of any kind -- it just ends. It would have been nice if there was some kind of end that finished the game, other than how the last sequence when with The Huddle. Still a great game, but the ending is a bit too esoteric for my tastes.

Its too short and there’s something wrong with it. In the chapter where you have to gather the people zombies to stand on the platform, theres supposed to be a “dead” one by the door but there isn’t so I can’t get past it I’ve always like puzzle games, especially when they have a creepy or dark feel to it like this. But it’s very short you can finish it in a day. There also aren’t any other modes or bonus games. But the graphics are beautiful and I love the puzzles even though I wish there were more of them. Also it might be a personal thing but I don’t like the touch and hold method for interacting with objects. I would much prefer something like a joystick and buttons, but that’s just a personal preference

Absolutely love it. I love the fact that the physics and graphics are spot on. You can tell that they put sooo much time and effort into making this beautiful work of art. I’ve had it bug out every now and then, but they were minor bugs. I feel like it would be helpful for players to get a “hint” button, like if they were to be stuck in a situation that they have not solved. I have ran into a few bumps while playing this game, I overcame them though. I hope they build an another amazing game like this one. I’ve played their first game “Limbo.” It’s a really nice one too, the fun part for me was finding all of the ways to die in the game. Anyways, off my weird topic of gruesome ways of ending your own life. This game is amazing, it is a must buy. You won’t regret it ;)

Best mobile game I’ve played. I never really got into mobile games, the amount of them that I have downloaded on my phone would say otherwise. But I always get bored of them after about a week. This game was different from the start, the game is very fun to play and the controls work really well for a mobile variant. This coming from a mainly console player who hates mobile games mainly because of controls. Yeah you might need to redo a portion of the game a few times before getting it right but it works well. The visuals are really impressive and headphones are really show off the audio in the game. I really don’t have any complaints and would highly recommend the game.

Awesome Game, God-Awful Controls. Beautiful game, seriously one of the best looking iPhone games I’ve ever played. Super creative, creepy as all hell, very interesting puzzles.... but holy **** the controls are TERRIBLE! The most difficult parts of the game are due to the inability to control the lad in any comprehensive way. Certain puzzles took me 20+ minutes, not because they were difficult, because the controls (or lack thereof) caused the character to do everything except what needed done to complete them. Again, I cannot express enough how intricate and well-made this game is, I felt like I was really in these environments. Just how the world existed around you, try movement of the character and NPCs, the machinery, utterly BEAUTIFUL!!! This game would be 6/5 stars if not for the horrendous control scheme. At least give the OPTION for a D-Pad, some kind of manual way to control this kid other than swiping (which often gets detected at tapping, or vice-versa, the only two methods of movement.) Summary: If your ability to easily control the protagonist was anywhere close to the brilliance of the game itself, it would be a spectacular app and absolutely worth the significant price tag.

Mind blown. I finished this game in just one night...roughly 6 hours. I already want to go back and play it again. The graphics are gorgeous and and captivating, the music score is perfect and swells at all the right moments. The puzzles are challenging enough that when you get them you feel accomplished, but not so hard that you get super frustrated and want to quit. I can't think of anything I don't like about this game. One of the best things I have ever downloaded. If I had to nitpick I would have liked a better ending, but on the other hand I love the ending of the game developers chose because it goes so well with the storyline. If you are sitting on the fence, trying to decide if you should purchase this game or not… Just do it, you won't regret it. Worth every penny.

First review ever here. Having never bought a game for more than $1.99 I was glad to see the publisher produce a free chapter one of this. I’ve now played through this bizarre puzzle game with an epic story you won’t fully understand and liked it so much at the end of chapter one that I happily paid the $8 or so and am now looking for other games by this publisher to buy. Highly recommend this game, but not for little ones. There were a lot of tense moments as nearly all living things ate trying to kill you, from guys with guns to dogs to robots to terrifying Ring like girls. In the beginning you are running from monsters and in the end you kind of feel for the men that have trying to stop you aka Akita fashion.

Ending. Beat the game after like 2 days of owning it. It’s very well made and very satisfying to play and beat but the ending is extremely underwhelming and after beating the game unlike most games there’s no new game plus or chapter replay selections to be made to give the game more replay value nor is there an achievement in the Game Center to show you’ve beaten the game. It just rolls the credits and after it’s all over you’re sent to the very beginning. There’s zero story explanation or anything ether so definitely mixed feelings but I’d say it’s worth the money for a first time experience playing through. Just don’t think I’ll be doing it all over again from the beginning.

Compatible? I think not.. So I looked at the information about this game (located beneath the comments) and it said under compatibility: Works with this iPad. I install the game and guess what? At the top of the screen it says: ‘We are sorry INSIDE is not compatible with your device’ in big red letters. And the most fun I can have with the game is play with the VHS tape the little boy is holding as he tries to figure out how to connect the VHS to a phone. I am very upset because I have been waiting for INSIDE to come to mobile and now that it is here, I can’t play it. Please consider finding a way to update the game to where me and others can play this wonderful game. I have an iPad mini 2 and I have 11.0 version. I am also beginning to be concerned that all the games and apps from now on in the App Store will be for the newer apple devices. Please please please consider updating this game for my iPad and earlier apple devices (with 11.0 version of course). Thanks in advance.

Good game, Too expensive, More Action, Too short. Now this game is great. The graphics is amazing and it’s really fun. However, there is a few things I’d like to say. First of all, it’s a little too expensive. Now, for a great game, there should be a price too it. However, for this short of a game, it’s not worth it. And that’s the next point. Secondly, it’s too short. Yeah, it’s like a few hours long but for a game this good, it makes you want to keep playing it. It only took me like a few days to complete it. Thirdly, it needs more action. Now, I don’t mind a puzzle game like this, but I feel like action in like every part of the game, kind of like the beginning, would make this game great. Most of the game was just puzzles, but action is a lot more fun. Maybe have a sequel?

If I could, I would get a ticket to Copenhagen right now to thank them in person!. I started playing this game around 2 weeks ago, I’m not a fan of games so I just play games with nice art/graphic because they’re inspiring me as an illustrator, but this game was beyond inspiring, the gameplay, music and sound effects, all the amazing creatures and devices in the game, the story of it and every single thing about this game was just breathtaking and while I was amused by every detail of the game I played the other ending of it and it actually blew my mind it gave a bigger explanation to the whole story and after I finished it I was literally “speechless”. So don’t even wait a second to purchase this game, I’m sure you will love it.

Atmospheric, Aesthetically Pleasing, and Quite Possibly the Best Game I’ve Ever Played. I don’t know why I’ve waited so long to review this amazing game, but here I am. About two years ago I played the demo of this game and fell head over heels for the amazing graphics, the story that isn’t a story, and the attachment you will feel for The Boy. I bought the game without a second thought and began to play. I finished it within a day. My only complaint is that it isn’t longer. The game has the most amazing graphics I’ve ever seen. It is the simplicity of this game - the fact that is only a side scrolling game - that makes the graphics so aesthetically pleasing. They are so in depth yet also so simple. The game’s story is also beautiful. I am the kind of person that never likes to play games that use words and pause to show you a story - it never sat well with me - so the open-endedness and mash of simplicity and complicated-ness that this game will leave you with was perfect for me. I’ve had this game for two years, and I think I’ve replayed it at least 50 times, and yet every time I am met with another man chasing me, or one of those underwater girl thingies a shiver still goes up my spine. I recommend. Still my absolute favorite game.

Solid. A stunning follow up to their first title, Playdead strikes another beautiful cord with it’s player base. Stunning design, mysterious storyline, and vastly improved gameplay systems from Limbo, the player is lead on an adventure like no other. You will continuously be pulled forwards to find out what exactly is going on in this universe created by Jensen and company and still find yourself wanting to discover more. The console version does play better than the iOS port, but to take some of the systems and make them playable through the movement and puzzles they created, it is very clear that they put a lot of care into pulling this off. Well worth the money. Well worth your time. Well worth following future projects of the Playdead team.

Freaking amazing 🤤. I don’t even know what it is about this game, but the ambient atmosphere and the realistic sounds just mmmmmm. I bought the full version without even thinking twice. I’m a busy guy and normally don’t make time for games but this, this was an exception. Coming from playing limbo, I didn’t feel like it was a whole ton crazy different. A super vulnerable boy in a really dark world was still the trend. I enjoy solving the puzzles and enjoy thinking outside the box and this game has plenty of that. I feel like I shouldn’t be writing a review because I want to keep the game to myself and no one else can have it, but it’s probably best if shared. Freaking amazing is all there is to say. Thanks playdead, I love your stuff ❤️

Nothing else like it.. This game is one of, if not THE BEST platform, indie, spine-chilling, mind melting games of the year! Played it on Xbox one when it first released, then had to buy it and play it to completion again on Steam. And finally now on iOS. The controls are great. The swipe to jump, the swipe and hold to interact, even the swipe to move are all just perfect. It just works. But that shouldn’t come as a surprise. Playdead first wowed us with LIMBO and now again with INSIDE. These guys know there stuff. Just download it and without hesitation pay the $7 bucks to unlock this masterpiece. You won’t regret it, and if you do...well you most likely don’t deserve to play a game like this. Note my pretension, and know I don’t care. This game is perfect and if you find something wrong with it, know it’s you and not this game.

Sensory acoustics are incredible. Okay, I’ll admit that the words “sensory acoustics” just sounded amazing together and I’m partly spellbound by my word-smithing on this one. But, golly-gee-willakers, this game is so gorgeous and haunting and sensorily acousticafying all at the same time. And though I’m once again pleased by my skillz at neologistic pedantry, I really did feel immersed in, what I’d like to term, a dysto-industrial jungle. And that poor boy. I submitted him to the most heinous of tortures again and again in this game: dog-teething, man-shaking, robot-taxzing and even absorption into an amorphous blob that looked much like a slimmer aunt Marsha after Thanksgiving dinner. Well done men and women of the Playdead team. And also, what’s up with that title? But I like it. Two Roger Ebert thumbs up. But...you know...for video games.

No Comparison. The best game for any mobile device I’ve ever played. This game actually rivals console games. I don’t think any mobile game will surpass the quality of this one for decades. You’re escaping some sort of enslavement camp or dystopian city. Guards are searching for you. Dogs want to kill you. You’ll have to platform and solve puzzles to stay alive. The graphics are incredible. The soundtrack is excellent. The gameplay is top tier. If you’re thinking about buying a mobile game, this is the one you want. I’d give it 50 stars. Great job, Playdead. And what is up with these nonsensical, barely intelligible, moronic reviews? I know USA is declining, but really - this fast?

There better be multiple sequels!. This game is soo much fun. The style and movement is incredibly done and perfection touch screen or controller. I agree with the many reviews that I didn't want this game to end and quickly replayed when it did. It's just challenging enough to keep you thinking without being so challenging as to block the story. I found myself laughing and smiling when I would get caught and couldn't wait to try again. This game has zero dialogue but is done so well it speaks volumes as to the environment it creates! Best game across all platforms! I just want 9 more of them to come out. Great game for the $, I can't express how much I enjoyed this title!

I have too! It is a must!. I have read the reviews, and i was curious about this game for a while. Even before the port to iOs. So i bought it, and wow! Simply put this game is a masterpiece. Me and my wife were just chilling laying next to each and even as she watched me play a little, she said she could not believe what she was seeing. A kid being chased by dogs and killed by men in vans, and weird environment. This game makes you want to know more. So i played with my earphones in, and that just increased the ambiance of the game. To sum it up, i stopped playing only because I was playing on my 7 plus, but I have an ipad pro 10.5 on its way to me in one more day and cant wait to play this on my hardware. Do yourself a favor and play this game! You will be glad.

Definitely one of the best games on the App Store. I was a little skeptical about this game at first because I didn’t really understand LIMBO as much but the cover art looked appealing so I decided to give it a try. The graphics are really astounding especially playing on an iPhone X. It was dark, yet beautiful to immerse in. I’ve always wanted to find a game on iPhone that has that console level feel to it while also having the iPhone aesthetic as well. This is the game. I’m very proud of the team at Playdead for this brilliant game. I played it for 2 days, but I wish it could’ve lasted longer or have an Inside 2 where it continue in the next app. I want to know more about this world and what happens after. Definitely recommending this to friends. Please create more! I don’t usually write review but INSIDE IS A GAME-CHANGER!!!! 🤟🏾

Sooo good. This game was so fun! I’m sure in a straight through play you could finish it in a day but I took some time and it probably took me a little over a week. It’s a puzzle game which was amazing and sometimes I would get frustrated and didn’t understand a puzzle but I used polygons puzzle guide whenever I needed it. (Which wasn’t much since the game makes it pretty clear on what to do) anyways though if you’re looking for a anxiety filled game this is it- with trying not to get caught and everything. I hope you guys decide to download this- for the full game it does cost a few dollars but it’s honestly so worth it.

Perfection. Everything was perfect about this game. Play before you commit - I didn’t have to worry If I was making a bad purchase. Simple UI design - Levels are presented linearly, game starts right away, hideaway in gam UI... Beautiful graphics - mobile graphics will almost never match what it can be on other platforms, but the way this game is presented it, I was not left wanting more. Control - I get it, it’s never going to be perfect using a touch surface to play games like these, I did not run into enough problems to complain. sound design - there were times where I could not believe how well everything sounded. From the splash of the water, footsteps, atmosphere effect, everything blended perfectly with the Soundtrack best of all, the storyline was haunting yet beautiful. it didn’t feel like a children’s game. at times i was genuinely scared for my life... well, my character’s life. the puzzles were easy enough to not get in the way of the flow of the game. the game time for me was about 2.4 hours. It was worth the money. It was worth the time. It is more creative, better made than a lot of the AAA games out there, even though it’s relatively short.

Such a beautiful, sad game. Touch sometimes problematic.. So often during this game I’d be playing and just remark to myself how beautiful the sounds and visuals were. Much like Limbo. Everything is much like Limbo but continued and less fanciful. More industrially grotesque and tied to our world. The mood stayed perfectly disturbing and utterly lonesome throughout. The only problems I had with it were sometimes when the timing was really close, combined with controls that are not as predictable with touch—like jumping and grabbing in rapid succession. I’d frequently be jumping when I didn’t mean to or jumping up when I wanted sideways. I think the problem is what gestures register as what, like diagonal jumping. Jumping diagonally should be: swiping at 0-45 degrees after letting go from a previous action, any drag up while running. Currently though it’s: dragging or swiping at 45 degrees only, drags up while running. This causes problems because swipes any lower just get registered as a slight shuffle forward and even the slightest drag at 45 degrees causes a diagonal jump. So I get a shuffle when I want a jump and a jump when I want a step. Besides that small detail, this is incredible work and I’m so happy this made it to iOS. I want more of this, Limbo, and probably anything else these geniuses send my way.

Breathtaking. This story is one of the best stories that I have ever played and that the $7 you have to pay for the full game is worth it all. You get to experience all of the horrors of this adventure and its dystopian world and society. You guys should make a second one and you should play as a different person and show how the world fell into that way of society, wether it was because of over population on Earth, Disease, or war. You should make a second part of the game at first showing life being normal and then you get to experience the downfall of society. I suggest that you play as a different person, maybe a girl or you could play as the same boy and show how he got to the woods in the beginning of this game. This is just a suggestion but I beg you to make a second one and that it should still be in this world.

Fantastically Beautiful. This game gripped me from the moment I started playing. Starting as a helpless, innocent boy escaping an oppressive and ruthless foe, the game seems straight forward enough. The world is rendered in hauntingly beautiful detail that immerses you and makes you forget you are in a side scroller and the puzzles are challenging and unique yet simple, with plenty of “A-ha!” moments. Like a well written, page-turner of a book, this game will find you in a dark room playing obsessively to find out what happens next. The story seems strange at first but begins to make sense after multiple play throughs. The ending is well worth your efforts and is one of the most satisfying table-turning power fantasies since Pac-Man first gobbled a ghost. Play Dead leaves me wanting more and I hope they release a sequel soon.

Brilliantly creative, hauntingly creepy.. To give this game less that full marks is to succumb to the horrors of the backdrop, a land of darkness where a child is preyed upon by men, dogs, sinister robots and siren like sea creatures. Where the player must make that child persevere through one trial after another, one death after another until they ultimately find peace. It may be a metaphor, but it undeniably one the most creative game experiences ever. The world of the protagonist is entirely 2 dimensional in so far as the player can only move the character forward and back, up and down, and yet the perspective is entirely 3 dimensional. There are times when the view shifts and the field takes on depth and perspective in spite of the fact they are still moving only forward or backward. There is the incredible sequence where something invisible, regular and explosive occurs in the distance of the 3rd dimension producing a shock wave the character must shelter from to survive. One mind blowingly creative set after another. Get over the urge to vomit at the sound of the character’s bones breaking and play this game. If nothing else, simply admire the creative talent that can produce something so sublime.

Loved finishing a game. It’s been so long.... I started playing the free version and I was hooked. It was really nice accomplishing something with a mobile game it’s been so long since I won a game. Although I wish it was harder. Something that could have really tested me. Like Mist from back in the day. Now that was a puzzle game. This was entertaining but it took me a day to beat it. That is the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars. Winning is great but paying for something I can beat in a day was a little upsetting. I feel it was a bit over priced for something so easy. Also the ending was anticlimactic. Like a book the author couldn’t figure out an ending to. I hope you add on to this so we have some resolution.

UPDATED: Unplayable. locks up after just a few minutes. Update: I finally figured out the problem. The only time the game locks up is when I have the sound going to my hearing aids. If I use the phone’s speaker or earbuds (wireless or wired), the game works perfectly. iPhone compatible hearing aids don’t use regular Bluetooth to connect, they use Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). It appears this locking problem only happens when the sound is being sent to a BLE connected device. I doubt there will ever be a fix for this. I am probably the only person on earth who is old enough for hearing aids who is playing this game 😃. ********************************* I want to love this game. It locks up after playing for just a couple of minutes. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled. It didn’t help. iPhone XS Max.

Great game, but expensive. I started to play the game with no expectations going in. I was absolutely astounded by the sheer ingenious of it, and the immersive story going in. However, I was only playing the free version. I was expecting the full game going in, and wasn’t expecting to pay $7 for the full game. I was tempted to buy it, but decided not to based on a few things. One; the controls are not easy to figure out at first. I got stuck on one of the very first parts because I had no idea what to do, because it dives right in and doesn’t give you explanations on how to move. In all, it’s just hard to play on mobile, and because it’s expensive and the controls could be worked on, I wouldn’t recommend buying the game here. Go to Steam, where yes, it’s more expensive, but the game will be easier.

😱💩😨😰🏊‍♂️☠️💀💀. No no I’m not going to jump into the dark and scary water!... I mean I just got the CRAP scared out of me when I saw the “long haired Michael Phelps who is now a professional little boy drownerer-er”... :/ looking at me through the glass! AND YOU WANT ME TO GO SWIMMING IN THE SAME TANK THAT LONG HAIRED MICHAEL PHELPS IS IN!!!.... nah this is to scary for me I’m out.. I’m just gonna go back to level 1 and just play it over and over and be happy..... I’m kidding I finished the whole story. But man my heart was pumping! I’m pretty sure I was sweating to 😅 and sometimes a little weirded out 🤨 But overall really interesting. !SPOILER WARING! And I know some of you guys like the ending...but I don’t! ☹️ I was hoping that the boy would a emerge from the experimental human blob thingy and be like, “where’s my clothes at yo? it’s cold”... THE END. 😆 Than the next story is like, he finds him some clothes first!... Than he goes and finds his long lost family that got taken by long haired Michael Phelps who turned out to be good and made them into fish humans than hid them under water from the humans that don’t like little boys who wear red shirts 🧐 and they lived happily super wet and raisiny ever After... THE END. Thanks if you actually read the whole thing 😂😂😂👍

Worth it.. I started this on the free trial. Played for about 15-20 minutes and then it paused and asked if I wanted to pay for the game. I wanted to see how much it cost without actually buying it so I clicked ‘yes’. When I saw the price, I decided not to buy it and double clicked the home button. But I didn’t realize that I hesitated with my thumb first allowing the store to read my thumbprint. In short, I accidentally bought this game. Questioned if I should contact the App Store. But instead, I just kept playing. It’s so beautiful and unlike any game I have ever played. I never put it down. I finished it that very same night. I love this game. I’m so happy I accidentally bought this game. It’s so worth it.

A beautiful and engaging puzzle platformer. I got this on Xbox One years ago and got it again to play on mobile. The controls are incredibly intuitive on the iPhone, surprisingly. I might even argue they are better. The game is a darkly beautiful experience, with a lot of subtext to what is really going on. Once you complete the game, explore the many Reddit forums about it. They will answer most of your questions about what you just experienced. That being said, the ambiguity of the story never makes you feel disconnected from what is going on and the hypnotic visuals and music serve as the proverbial dangling carrot to keep you moving forward. This game is art, done at the highest level.

Superb....🎮. Pros: amazing graphics on iPhone 8plus the details on the environment are flawless and the encounters with the puzzles and the people chasing and the dogs and all keep you on your toes and excited on what comes next..it’s a mind blowing masterpiece of a mobile game..it’s best playing on a good quality headphones that will submerge you into all the sounds of the game... Cons: for $6.99 the game should be longer..and a few lingering bugs like when swimming and rope climbing can be more responsive to the touch also the story seems to be left for you to use your imagination on what you have experience and what the ending feel to you......INSIDE is the best mobile game to this date ..all it needs is an expansion with a story on why this child is really running from...

Obstacle course challenge. I love these types of games and they are so hard to find! What I love most is that when you die, you don’t go allllll the way back to the beginning of a level. You just start where you left off! So genius! And the graphics are amazing. The obstacles are not that hard to figure out so I don’t get interminably stuck as to quit the game. I just take a few days to think of it and I always figure it out! What I hated: too short! I loved it that much! It took me a short couple weeks playing it only off and on and it was beat. I could’ve used more storyline, more puzzles, different styles of challenges. And I wasn’t too inspired about the ending for the little guy, either. You’ll know what I mean when you see it. Great game though!

Genius. Beautiful, clever, and deep.. Although I wish it were longer, it was so amazing. The graphics were beautiful, and the story was so strange and deep. It said so much without saying anything at all. I will say that, if you know where to look, you can unlock an alternate ending. The original ending is a bit unsatisfying, but finding the secret ending was fun. I watched some theory videos after completing the game, and they were very interesting, touching on both endings and what they could mean. The game is easy to control, but sometimes difficult (in a good, puzzle-solving way). It is a bit creepy too, and some moments got my heart pounding. Just wait until you see what’s in that big tank of water near the end....I died. It was so weird, and I loved it. Weirdest game I’ve ever played, but I loved every second of it. Genius.

The ending…. The whole entire game is amazing! The puzzles and everything. It’s one of those games that give u mixed up feelings. Except the end, it gives u one feeling… sad. U are stuck in a blob and u fall into the woods… wait… LIMBO IS THE FREAKING 2ND ONE!? Ok so I just found out that Inside is the first one and limbo is the second. U fall in the woods in the blob, then in limbo u wake up in the woods but not in a blob. Guys this so freaky for me right now. So play inside first then play Limbo. Btw enjoy inside it’s a beautiful great amazing mind blowing experience, it’s full of questioning things. Have fun play inside, then Limbo… I luv Playdead he is such a great creator of his games. For the last time enjoy your game

Incredible Game!. Can’t say enough good things about this for those who like puzzle/adventure games and using your mind to solve your way through. And tons of great variety in the puzzles as well. Incredible experience and I hope they keep making more of these, I for one will keep playing them. And for those complaining or rating low because of the nominal charge to buy the full game after they give you a few free levels to check it out that’s utterly ridiculous. This clearly took time and effort and the developers deserve some money for all their time and effort and for a job well done. Bravo!!

Gives me goosebumps every time.. This is my third time playing this game, and every single time it shakes me. As I play, I get so nervous and scared as If I were the character. And there was one time I was so nervous my shirt became soaked in sweat (gross right..? Lol) It’s pretty amazing that every time I play this game, I feel as if it were my first time playing. The graphics and sounds are great, and the obstacles are somewhat really tricky for me. And there are NO ADDS😩❤️ even after finishing the game I kept it on my phone because I didn’t have the heart to get rid of it. I just wish we got more of a backstory to the ending we got, however even though the unique (but sad) ending we got was great and original. I just wish this game was recognized more, because this video game is a true work of art.
