Short and story makes no sense. Cute character design, good art and music don’t really make up for uninspired dialog, no voice acting and a nonsensical story that ends without resolving any of the plot points. The interface is also awkward and inconsistent. I played the game on both iPad and Apple TV and it was frustrating without any emotional payoff. There are many, many better choices in the App Store.

Beautiful, Compelling But... I guess it’s a testament to the designers that the game is so compelling that it left me waiting for more. That’s the issue though- waiting for much, much more. It seemed like the beginning of an amazing game.

Nice. It’s a really nice game and I would love to give it 5 stars but I almost feel like it’s unfinished for example we don’t get why the robots are together and there’s also not really an ending, they just see a sign but for the most part it has great graphics and is fun to play.

More chapters?. This game is beautiful and everything I look for. Unfortunately it’s too short and unfinished. Left wondering. I’ve seen your comments about more chapters coming soon but those comments were between 1-2 years ago. I will be extremely disappointed if we can’t figure out the rest of the story 😞

A short story???. Could of been a great game but for the story. Not because of its length, but its ending. It’s not so much as a cliffhanger, but a story cut in half. I can bet future episodes were in mind throughout the development stage.

Sweet but melancholy, unfinished. This story is sweet but melancholy. They really made me feel for the robots who had been left behind by their people. I liked the story and the puzzles. Used a walkthrough on a few I didn’t get right away so I could keep the story going. Felt like the story ended very abruptly with no actual resolution. They do not get to Metropolis City, still don’t know where the people are or if they are even alive. I wish the developers would finish this or at least tell us when the rest will be out.

Loved the visuals. And the music. Characters were appealing and sweet, and the gameplay was fine. Very much disliked the ending... no resolution, and I can’t believe they’d just leave the one behind. Seemed very out of character. I hope they’ll come back with another chapter or two and finish it another way.

Fun adventure with arcade and puzzles. I like that this game has both adventure game puzzles and arcade games. It makes it unique and challenging. The illustration and animation is absolutely stunning and the characters are cute and funny. A lot of bang for your buck. Thanks for the fun game!

Disappointingly short and way too easy. While the cute style of this game was nice, it wasn’t worth the money. You should be able to play a puzzle game for more than an hour-ish. I finished this quickly, and none of the puzzles were challenging in any way. Two stars for style and cute, negative three stars for value and play. Meh.

Heart warming with great Great graphics. I loved this game but was left disappointed at the same time. What it gets right...intriguing story, endearing characters and amazing detail and graphics. What a beautiful broken world! What goes wrong...turns into childish arcade game with monster chase, fail, repeat. It lost the puzzle style that I signed up for. The game started out for me and ended for my 11 year old. And I saved the robot from the lab but his storyline ended there. How tragic!😬 Next time...Keep these characters, develop more of this interesting and suspenseful story, keep it a puzzle game avoiding the arcade mode. 5 stars next time team! -Clifton

Great, but short. I really enjoyed the game and playing both robots in turn to solve the puzzles, but I feel as if I just read the first chapter in a book and am very disappointed that there is no resolution or a second chapter.

Beautiful and cute game but VERY short. For a paid game it is extremely short. You can finish the entire game in an hour or two. The graphics are beautiful and I love the concept but it isn’t worth the price.

Beautiful game. Graphics are amazingly detailed and the chapters have good riddles but too short, right now there are 5. At first I was going to rate 1 star because the game ended with a very final wording but after reading other reviews and the developers responses it looks like more chapters will be coming. Rated 4 out of 5 stars because the game is actually really fun and unique but am hoping for more chapters (hopefully no in-store apps for these chapters). Would also recommend changing the message at the end to something like to be continued, at least when there are no more chapters to be completed.

Stunning Game with a few problems. Let’s talk about this masterful game, with stunning graphics, beautiful story, fun gameplay, and compelling characters. I hope that this game would get an update soon with the story being continued. A few nitpicks I have are with the game that keeps me from giving it 5/5 would be the poor controls and the fact of when I took the lab assistant with me, using the bigger bot, he didn’t actually come with

Not a finished game. Tantalizing story line that hints at allot more than it delivers, unfortunately it’s just incomplete. This game isn’t worth paying for in its current form. This should be the free teaser for a full game not a payed purchase. Judging by past reviews that go back over 1 year the developer will promise more game play is coming and check back soon. That really should be changed to not soon enough.

Short and very sweet!. The most notable feature of this game is it’s artistic style. The visuals are absolutely incredible despite being so simple. What then draws you in closer is the music. The music is very beautiful and it holds a strong sense of emotion that works very well with a plot. I absolutely love it when a video game has a fantastic music, and this one definitely has a great soundtrack. The pot is self was also very short and sweet, with enough of an emotional hook and adorable characters to leave you wanting more. I definitely feel that this game is worth the price, and I really hope that there’s more to come. I would absolutely love to see more of these adorable little robots.... Devs, make another chapter or sequel!

Beautiful game... Bad story. First of all, this game is beautiful. I completed this game in 2 hours. And this is the best $3 spent. Although the story ends in a weird way, the game has beautiful graphics and good music. I would have given it 5/5, but due to the abrupt ending I am unable to do. Regardless of the ending, I am going to suggest anyone who wants to kill a boring evening to buy this beautiful game.

Not worth the money. I love puzzle/point and click adventure games. This was not enough to be a paid game. Extremely long and unskippable cut scenes. Short with no resolution to the story with no “second episode coming soon” to look forward to. Great animation, okay story line. Would have been better with skip enabled cut scenes, longer play and better resolution. Running from the robot was boring and not skill or a puzzle at all. Not worth being the climactic boss.

Good looking, short, poor controls, lame story. I don't regret buying this, I read the reviews about the game being too short and while I agree, there isn't really a standard for how much game play you should get for a couple bucks. But what I disliked most was the dialogue from the characters, which reads like it was written by a fifth grader. Also, tapping on little icons that hover over objects and characters really gives away the moving parts of the solutions, so not challenging at all. Looks great though - the artists need to find a better design team.

Short but Sweet. This was a lovely and inventive little game. Sad, atmospheric, beautifully created, and unique. As others have said, it is pretty short and leaves you feeling a bit unfulfilled. I hope there are more chapters to come. This little story needs an ending.

Audio still needs a fix - keep hearing clipping. And hopefully add more levels with some more challenging puzzles

Amazing. I loved this game, i am a huge fan of games with adventure and some sadness and this… was that. I think the only reason I didn’t give it a five- star rating was because I think I would like it if there was some more chapters where they find the forest and it would be like another world and they would find tons of fellow robots living there and they would find DD’s birdie friend and the end credits would be of the postcard of them in the forest with the other robots and the bird friend. But that’s just me. :)

Highly Recommend. Moving tale with a unique artistic style. The characters are lovable and the tasks are fun and creative. The game was engaging and held my attention unlike 90% of the games on the market. Did an amazing job setting and holding that post

Fantastic.... ...puzzle adventure. I’m on the third chapter and am thrilled with this very unique, artsy puzzler. The post-apoplectic world is beautiful and interesting and the associated story line is charming and engaging. An update is forthcoming on the length of the gameplay but so far Abi is well worth the price point! Thank y’all devs! Update: it is a bit short but still worth the price because it’s so very well done. Plus, by supporting the devs we get more great games like Abi. The end of gameplay and not finding DD's bird friend left a huge opening for a sequel. Bring it devs!

"I'm not crying, your crying!!". This game is- it's so profound. This small adventure game leads you though a half hour adventure with Abi and DD. It leaves kinda on a cliff hanger, but I don't see it like that. It leaves it up to your imagination for the ending. Please play this, it may impact you more differently then you think. I love this game.

Cute game that keeps you thinking. Let’s start off with, I can’t wait for more of this game. The storyline kept me intrigued. I’m still trying to figure out how it’s all connected and what happened. This game really pulls at your heart. Even subtle little actions and dialog make you feel like crying. I’ve become emotionally invested in Abi and DD. The gameplay itself could be smoother, and I was hoping for harder puzzles. It’s mostly just “pick this up and put it there”. There were maybe 2 puzzles that I had to think about, and I figured them out pretty quickly. The game gets 5 stars from me because honestly I love the characters, and I think this game has so much potential.

Beautiful, but not sure about the story. This game looks great and the gameplay is easy. However, besides being too short I really don’t know what the story was. I know pieces, but it was never laid out and the ending of the game seemed to be empty. There was never really any conclusion. I kept playing to solve the puzzles, but the backstory was just missing and I kept waiting for some type of reveal.

Well made but feels incomplete. I loved the graphics and the game in general. Uncovering the past within the flashbacks, it was truly a beautiful experience. Though, when the game came to a close I felt unsatisfied by the result, of how it ended.. I wished it had more to it, to me it felt like it was a demo. Than the full game, I personally think it’s worth the money. But I still wished there was more to the story. Like do they even find what they’re looking for? But overall great game.

Do not like timed games. Nice art, interesting (short) story, and very appealing characters. Unfortunately due to physical limitations I’m unable to complete the game or even enjoy the whole game. Did not realize there were timed parts that require coordination.

Great game!. I loved this game, it’s easily the BEST indie game I’ve played. But one thing I want is a sequel, the game is kinda left on a cliffhanger, and I want to actually KNOW what Metropolis looks like. My favorite thing is DD, the game would be SO much different without them, I felt sad when I went in the boat, DD didn’t come. That made me almost cry, I thought that was the last of DD, but NOPE, Abi is just placing a cargo crate thing down, I was so happy! So I rate an 5/5 for this. Abi is the best, and we need more Abi in our lives

Unfinished. Very cute and well done but felt duped buying it and finding out it's incomplete. Pro tip...give this out for free and charge for the update. Not a happy customer. I had absolutely no problems with glitches.

To short. I bought it and I rarely buy things because I want something worth my money great story but it is way to short if you need ideas I have some (they enter metropolis then find no one but bots they explore three buildings all to find the zoo where the bird is then they look for a growing camber to grow Jamie’s body back then the collector strikes again this time trapping them in a maze after figuring out a pipe puzzle they escape into a cyro chamber (empty) where they have to free the system from the computer virus then they travel across a swamp giving food to robot crocs to pass by and Jamie with his new body finds a laboratory and trying to bring their friends back they only succeeded in bringing the child back then they build a home and rebuild the garden the collector finds them again but after a puzzle to get into the basement they find the collector gets collected and torn apart by a robot snake who then leaves and after finally freeing the parents and finish building the home it becomes a place for robots to get repairs and the story ends there. (Possibility traveling through ice jungle ocean and herds of robot animals along the way))

Worth it, but.... This game is absolutely amazing and it is so detailed. I think it’s worth the $3 but the only problem is that it is extremely short. I finished it in less than 2 hours but it’s okay because I understand developing takes time. Hopefully the devs release many new chapters soon. Great game though!

It’s incomplete and a little frustrating in places but still enjoyable. Simple story that doesn’t have an ending. Dialog can be hard to follow if you don’t read fast enough. Timed sequences are a nuance but can be easily mastered after a few tries. Interacting with the environment can be challenge as some hit points disappear or get blocked by other characters. Some characters you encounter just get left behind for no reason (particularly the last one, why abandon the collector?). It’s fun to play but not a finished game. It’s a great start but I fear nothing more given there’s no update in a year. I’d pay for more content. You shouldn’t be afraid to charge for your hard work.

Beautiful Game!. The graphics in this game are phenomenal! It’s such a pretty game. The story line is a bit hard to understand. At the beginning I didn’t quite get it. But after a while I kinda started to understand. I also feel like the game doesn’t feel totally finished. Like after fighting the collector, I was ready for more adventure, but then the game ended and I was super confused. Other than that, I like the game play and it’s just a beautiful game!

Great game, could be better though. I really loved the style of gameplay and reminded me very much of ‘Broken Age’ but there would be a few things I would change I wish that the dialogue didn’t continue until you tapped the screen, sometimes I couldn’t read fast enough and others it was very slow and I was ready to move on already I wish there was a ‘run’ mode in which if you double tapped a spot the characters would/ get there faster. Even if the walk mode was slower then the current mode it would make it seem faster when having more then one option *SPOILERS*I wish we could have rescued the box robot from the lab along with the the brain. I had Abi carry the brain and DD carry the robot but only the brain made it out for some reason *END OF SPOILERS* And finally I wish the game was a little longer. It’s good that certain games leave you wondering what will happen next and wanting more, but the ending was very unsatisfying to me, and I wish it was longer, or maybe a second game to continue it. Other then these small things I loved the game a lot! The art style was beautiful, the animation was clean, and the storyline was easy to follow. Well done!

Fun, cute, great graphics. I loved the graphics, characters, and storyline! It wasn’t as long as I would have liked, but that is a common issue with games - especially those that you enjoy. Just a couple suggestions: - Some parts of the dialogue went too quickly with no way to repeat. Perhaps make it so you tap to continue - the ending was a little too abrupt. I totally get wanting to keep us wanting more - and I do! - but it would have been nice if there was some kind of more satisfying end. Since we don’t know when we purchase this that it is only the first part of an ongoing story, the ending doesn’t stand on its own. - release the next phase of the game already! Thanks for the beautiful work and imagination.

I duno wut to say ???????. Well the puzzles where difficult so yeah so I deleted the app so I can have peace but why is everyone giving 1 star? Is it supposed to be better like updates? This doesn’t make sense you know, and I was trying to get the other abi robot but failed I couldn’t know how to get that abi robot to turn on like yep is very hard puzzle so I choose my choice is.... 1 star sorry! But kinda good game bit!!!!

Beautiful but abrupt. I loved this game. I did not read any reviews before purchasing because the graphics from the previews had me hooked right away. The story is sweet, yet somber at the same time. (I actually cried there at the end..) I am looking forward to more chapters that hopefully keep their story going and tell us more about where the humans are and if Jamie gets his body. Thank you for a wonderfully challenging game.

Unfinished game but worth the price. Beautiful artwork and wonderful storytelling. The game feels unfinished tho - there are holes at the beginning and then I feel like it ended halfway in. At least a quick epilogue to wrap it up would be nice. On Apple TV the controls are a bit strange. They need to use the main selection button instead of the menu button for certain things. The dialogue also moves extremely quickly when you get to the collector. I was trying to read out loud to my kid and it was impossible to keep up. Aside from these issues, the game is well done and I’m looking forward to the promised new content!

Wanted to give this a shot even with all the bad reviews but.... Cute but it was so short you spend all your time trying to get to “The city” and when you finally get there, the game ends .... needs more story! What’s the meaning of the bird? The brain head didn’t even have a purpose?... I’ll give it 2 stars for the full game, but 3 for how great the graphics were..

Sad story, beautiful game. Abi’ adventure is quite sad. He and his buddy are looking for a white bird but encounter lots of different robots on their quest that aren’t too happy with their presence. Beautiful graphics and sound design fully emerge you in the compelling journey of Abi. I enjoyed playing the game as it’s a very relaxing and leaves you with a warm feeling. The ending doesn’t satisfy you, but I think that’s what they were going for.

Want more. I have never been this satisfied with a game truly, it was amazing. It was short, sweet and complicated enough. Plus, the player get to empathize with these robots which I found beautiful. I am waiting for Abi 2, I hope it get released soon. Keep up the good work

Intriguing and lovely, but too short and way too slow. Having completed the game is a day of idly playing in random spare moments, I’m left wondering where the rest of the game is. And why I couldn’t tap to skip to the next speech bubble when I had finished reading the current one. Ultimately, I think the game demand too much patience to be a game for small kids, but the puzzles are all far too easy. I enjoyed the story though, and wanted to know more. What about the boy who left Abi behind? Is Metropolis even still there? How long until the floating brain guy betrays DD and Abi? It all seemed to be building to a longer story and in interested in experiencing that.

Please you need to add more chapters!😀😀😀😀😀. So I have known and had this game for about a couple months or so and I have to say it impressed me more than I thought it would. Totally worth the price! So if anyone wants to buy this game I rate it 5 stars! 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀 but.....ADD MORE TO THE SAD DEPRESSING STORY ALREADY! I completed the chapters in one day and have been waiting ever since to add more chapters but it hasn’t happened yet............. PLEASE ADD MORE CHAPTERS!!!

I really want to give it 5 stars but the arcade stuff is awful. Gorgeous, cute story. Fun puzzles. But stop trying to be a puzzle and arcade game in one. The scenes running from the monster dying are not what a puzzle story is about. It’s super annoying. All the timed scenes are not fun. Plus the game is SOOOO slow! You can’t make the characters go any quicker so you are constantly having to go back and forth at a snails pace. I finally deleted it after getting too annoyed after the monster and it’s plethora of scenes you have to “try again”. Don’t get me wrong the game is adorable. The graphics alone should have earned it 5 stars but I just couldn’t give it because of the slow movements and multiple unnecessary death scenes. Would love a “skip” option for those parts, then I would redownload and finish it. Otherwise it’s a waste of my time.

Beauty and sadness.... Abi is a point-and-click game that’s all about the story, not the gameplay. It’s lovely to look at, with a sorrowful soundtrack and lonely characters that tug at the heartstrings. There are a number of simple puzzles to solve as the player journeys from a desolate abandoned town to a futuristic utopia which is not what it seems. It’s easy to feel moved by this beautiful tale about loss and friendship. The plotline explores what it means to leave things behind, and the hurt that can be caused by never looking back. But it also contains a hopeful message about life going on, no matter what the hardship… and right at the end, there’s a chance that the friendships that were long forgotten can be revived again. I’ve taken away a star for one reason: I can’t rationalise how much data this app harvests. It’s paid for up-front and has no ads or in-app purchases, so… why?!

Great game but !!!. Great game but it was way to short just gettin into game and it finished disappointing in the end

Beautiful but ridiculously short. I loved the game play and art work but the story doesn’t remotely finish. So much of the story is left incomplete that’s it’s entirely unsatisfying when the credits suddenly start playing. I started on the TV however I had to move to my phone to continue. The TV version is virtually unplayable in parts. The TV version feels rushed to market and not well enough tested. Might be better if it supported the game controller. On the phone the controls worked however so much of the lovely detail in the artwork is lost on the small screen I was guessing at what I was tapping on and hoping it would work.

Great game, want more. My partner and I love playing point and click games together. We both agreed Abi was special: beautiful graphics, appealing music and quite emotional, but we wanted more. What we did get was great, but it felt unfinished. We didn't get on the train to Metropolis or even see the city in the distance... Also a bug kept crashing the game 2 minutes before the final credits. We had to watch a You Tube walkthrough to catch the final bit. It may be because we were playing on an ancient iPad 2 but all apart from the last 2 minutes ran just fine. Having got through the whole game minus 2 minutes was frustrating...

It’s ok. Look, it’s probably worth the dollar fifty but it’s a bit clunky and it’s a bit painful to endure the long, pointless narratives.

LOVE. Okay so I can't even find keychains with my name ... but an entire game sharing the same name as me?! I love Abi (not myself ^w^) !!! The gameplay is smooth and the characters are lovely and I am really intrigued by the storyline. I can't wait to see more!!!

Short game. Very short, coming from someone who doesn’t like puzzle games. It finishes before it really starts. Not worth the money I paid for it, it’s length makes it worth maybe $1 and even that’s overpaying for what you get.

A little weird but fun nonetheless. Whimsical, beautiful artwork, challenging at times... but crazy dialogue.

Good but frustrating. The game had so much promise but I ended up deleting the app part way through the game. There were a few reasons it frustrated me: - The movement is slow. - If you toggle out of the app at any point it restarts and you lose progress. - You can’t fast click through dialogue you have already played. - You can’t turn off the music or sound so can’t listen to your own music while playing - Can only carry one inventory item at a time - inventory items are so tiny, I couldn’t even see what I was picking up a lot of the time.

Good..while it lasted... May look nice..with some moderate puzzles..but just way too short..especially for the price..Look elsewhere..

Beautiful and fun. I really liked the characters and story, and would love to see more. Hard disagree for those saying it isn’t worth the small about of money it costs - you can clearly see the effort and time that has gone into creating a beautiful game. It’s not a puzzle heavy game, and won’t take you too long, but it’s still a good time.

Beautiful to look at but.... The gameplay is a little slow and clunky. There also appeared to be a bug that prevented me from being able to proceed further and I don’t consider the storyline to be engaging enough for me to give it another go.

ONE OF THE GREATEST GAMES. Everything in the game from the small story line to the way the game played was awesome. You could brunch this game out into more different stories and the speed the game ran at was quite amazing with have near to no lag. And last but certainly not lest the artwork was spectacular.

A beautiful game with story and heart. To those complaining the game is too short, IT’S ONE DOLLAR! Try entertaining yourself for 5 minutes with one dollar! This is a game to be enjoyed and not rushed through. More chapters would be nice but definitely worth the money! If we don’t support great Indie devs like this one we won’t get great indie games like this one.

Amazing game that leaves you wanting more. I don’t understand how people can be upset this game ended too soon and then give it a low rating. The reason you think it ended too soon is because it’s such a wonderful game. I wish they had charged me more money for it so they can make the next instalment more quickly. Very cute, beautiful artwork, probably the best iPhone game I’ve played hands down. Although I did scream noooooooooooooooo when it ended lol.

Great but incredibly short.... I loved this game, the story is promising BUT I “beat” the game in less then 20 minutes, it’s incomplete and the last update was over a year ago. The project is likely abandoned which is incredibly disappointing since it has such potential. I’m hoping there is an update after this review, but unless your okay with open ended and very tiny games, I would hold off on this one. I hate saying that because they did a great job with the chapters thus far, but it’s just not enough for someone who enjoys stories. Really it’s heartbreaking.

Just a teaser....?. I was disappointed with the 30 mins of gameplay before I finished this. The price is not much, but it’s too much compared to other apps under $1.50.

Amazing storyline. This game has such amazing artwork and the story line sucks you in and you really begin to love the characters; unfortunately I found the game far too short. I also found that playing on a phone screen it was difficult to move my characters around during some scenes. Just as I was getting the hang of the game and its’ features it was over!

Far too short. Only about 20 minutes of game play which was really disappointing. Fun and interesting game play that reminds me of Tiny Thief puzzles. Graphics, story, and characters deserved more than a game that wasn’t just open ended, but left every story line undeveloped and unfinished.

Nice story but glitchy on older iPad. Seems to be a fun story and well designed game but I can't get past the seesaw sequence due to some glitches. Movements are super sensitive and even watching a walk through didn't work. iOS 9.3.5 on iPad 2

Toooo short. I bought this game in a Valentines App Pkg with another game. This is a fun game but it’s sooooo slow and I’m already done with it after 2 days. I hate it when you pay for a game and it’s over before you know it.

Frustrating. It takes me to the beginning every time I leave & has no save option.

Huh?. What the heck? It just ends when it feels like we’re only getting started? Is there more coming? How utterly anticlimactic.

Very entertaining. I really enjoyed the story and the post apocalyptic style setting. I’m hoping this isn’t an isolated game as it left no sense of closure.

I don’t recommend. I had to put $9.00 in my bank account because the minimum number of money to put into my card is $8 and it said it costed $0.99 but when I bought it, it took out the whole $8.99 and left me 1 cent in my account, I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!

Too short. I’m confused by all the awards they list. It’s a cute game but WAY too short. If this were the teaser for a longer, complete game, it would be about the right length.

It’s ok. I can’t get past the part after the explosion and you have to give the parts to the robot. Keeps saying they don’t fit. Nothing I do works so I guess I can’t play any farther.

Great visuals, much too short. The visuals are rich and the landscapes are fun too look at. The game play is simple, but very short. I played through the entire game in under an hour.

Doesn’t work. Not sure if I’m doing something wrong, but every time I close the app and go back in to resume playing, it takes me all the way back to the beginning. Ugh.

It’s like an apatizer. The game is beautiful and enjoyable, however it needs much more to be a paid game on the App Store. It sets up for so much, only for the credits to roll. I really hope more is released for this game.
