Bug Issues/ Poor communication. Overall this app is awesome when it comes to being able to communicate with other people about your specific interests including being able to make and design your own community around your interests as well. However, i was apart of this community for about a year and a half, and I did not choose to leave. First of all, i recieved a strike and wasnt able to communicate for a whole day. Within aminos rules you have to be given a warning before a strike, as well as an explanation. The app did no such thing. A couple days later I received a Ban throughout the whole app; meaning they wouldn't let me even sign in without it saying “You have been banned”. I posted no inappropriate content, i did not talk inappropriately to other members, and i did not send any unfavorable pictures and messages on my page. I did as the rules followed and i gained a pretty good following and reputation. I helped out the community by providing my experience and tried to help the younger generation on their art and craft. After I was banned i sent many emails on how i was banned with no explanation. Its been 3 months still with no response from the Amino team. I also emailed them with a long response telling them what had happened, and how i was disappointed with their business and app. Their “support” email is just a facade and emailing them will never get you a response. Just a warning.

Take down the ads and livestream. I have been using this app for years and it’s been great- until now. I appreciated the fact that ads were optional to begin with, but now they are not and they are extremely annoying to view, and there isn’t even a coin reward for it anymore. Additionally, the live stream cannot be disabled which is problematic. It takes up an entire tab of the main page, and be globally pinned to every community, unable to be disabled by us. It is filled with inappropriate content, and is akin to what is known as “camming.” Think Twitch hot tub stream type stuff. Highly suggestive, with real money involved to “tip” these streamers. As this is an app primarily aimed at a younger demographic, this is absolutely deplorable. No one comes on amino for this type of content. I urge everyone to leave a 1 star review of the app in your respective store, and report it on iOS to the App Store to get it taken down immediately. We have to force them to remove this feature. TA (Team Amino) has been failing us. They have refused to give us proper updates or bug fixes, have done no marketing, leaving us as Leadership in every community to fend for ourselves while swarms of bots have attacked our members, so they could take the time to force us to watch ads and implement this softcore pornography feature.

Problems and other thing. Hi group on this app and I really love it. And I used to like to show my artwork and things like that and I made a whole bunch of friends but one of the problems are some of the leaders or the censors. That which can be sometimes annoying like some of them can be bossy, others can be unreasonable or do you think that which that would irritate you. And one of them I was role-playing with had banned for asking if they wanted to role-play and I say it like we can do anything that makes you feel comfortable and I got banned because the person was being unreasonable and being Like a jerk. But some of the good things he said I made some great friends and learn a couple of good things I would say it’s pretty decent but also there are a lot of creepy and sketchy people on here so yeah. And some of the leaders or senators may or should give it warnings and things like that because some of them were just automatically banned you four simple things or other things but it’s a good app but I need a lot of working on even there are a ton of hackers. And predators and other things as well and things like that. But all I know I give it at least three stars or two for this app I like this generation now I don’t think it’s good for younger people or other things so I thought. Also there has been power abuse as well. And yeah.

such a welcoming community!! +make friendships +multiple amino groups. i had this app before but due to some complications that had to do with my previous phone, i lost all the data i had on my former amino account. i tried logging into my old account but, i just gave up and decided to make a new account. i seriously forgot how welcoming amino was, so my mood changed drastically with all the comforting and welcoming messages that were sent. amino is also a wonderful app where you could make new friends and become introduced to other topics without feeling lost or left out (i’ve been there, trust me). thankfully, amino has many diverse topics so it’s not much of a hassle to get more into one fandom. i cannot fully express my whole gratitude towards this app but hell, if this app wasnt made, i probably wouldn’t have met many amazing people who changed me in many ways, for the better or worse. now, i must admit that im only making this for stickers but i cant help but feel a little sefish for not giving a genuine feedback. BUT all in all, i love your app, SO PLEASE CONTINUE DOING WHAT YOU’RE DOING COS ITS AMAZING. i purple you’!! 💜💜 [an army if you cant tell]

Photo and video quality. Amino is very inspiring to all the communities and lots of other things and i have soooo many friends! and an amino girlfriend! Amino is great its just that....people are really getting mad at the photo and video quality like its so low and you cant see any good details in them it might take a while to fix it (if you do) but it would be great if you fixed that because it gets on my nerves and i wanna show the good details i put in my drawings so please fix that! thank you! And this is just a edit, so today I was on Amino and I could text just fine but when I tried to text again it didn’t want to send and then I got a notice saying that, Like I had to stop texting and it said because of the photos i send. And the photos I send are just cute little drawings of neko’s so I really didn’t understand why I cant text or say anything. I don’t know if this is happening to anyone else because it’s really annoying because its either a glitch or something I really dont know and it’s starting to scare me because I been on Amino for 1 in a half years and that never happened so please if its just a glitch and others are getting it please fix it because I was role playing and I dont want to leave my friend hanging from the glitch or something -Dazani W.

The best way to make new friends with the same interests. I first got on Amino due to my liking of kpop and not many other people I knew liked it. So I joined kpop Amino. Then I started to find other Animos on the Amino platform for groups, then I joined for biases and when it asked me if I wanted to join another Amino, say Overwatch Amino I joined because I also love Overwatch and didn’t even know there was an Amino for it. I then joined NCT Amino which really made me happy because none of my friends liked NCT like I did and then I made friends on all the platforms and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. I heard of the app from a friend thinking it was just another one of their games about some crap they had on their phone but then tried it out and had some of the best experiences of my life. I really think people should use this platform and be happy with the outcome because you can definitely find more than one person on Amino who likes the same things as you or just needs a friend to talk to. It really just helped me meet people from different and interesting places and connect with others in a way I could never before. It could even help you leave your mark on the world if you try and work hard enough. But don’t take my word for it, try it out for yourself.

Bad Updates. Every new update, it feels like Amino takes away a feature and then adds a bug. Me and the members in my community always discover a new problem with the app with every update that comes out. The app crashes when I change who can comment on my wall, the app freezes when I try to kick somebody from my chatroom. Some of these bugs can be minor, but some of them can be big problems. The lack of communication from Team Amino to the community is worrying as well. Team Amino never tells us what new updates really bring; we have to discover it ourselves, like bug testers or something. Team Amino can ban people for whatever reason they want, even if the member doesn’t break the guidelines (I know this is true because it’s happened to me.), and when you’re banned it doesn’t tell you that you are; you don’t get an email or anything, no messages telling you why you’re banned. You’re just logged out and can’t log back in. In addition, if you check moderation history and try to see the profile of a member that Team Amino has banned, it won’t let you. Team Amino can ban people without anybody being able to see who it even was. It’s frustrating having to deal with the Amino team doing things that nobody but themselves can see, and the lack of communication from Narvii Inc. to the users really shows how much they care about their community. 2020 is the year for social apps to really thrive, but instead I feel like amino has bombed.

Toxic. So, years ago I made my account, and I actually loved it. Although as time went on, my mental health started to get terribly worse to the point of thinking about suicide. There was so many toxic people there, I had so many relationships with others and ended suddenly when I was at the worst of my mental health. I didn’t even start talking about how terrible Team Amino services are. Whenever I report an amino for valid reasons, they shrug it off and tell me terrible advice. Most of the time the amino I report isn’t even looked at. Like, I get that you have many other reports, but could you at least give a care about it? This is terrible service. One time I reported the leaders of an amino for being abusive, and apparently they just gave ME agent!? Best part is, later when I said I no longer wanted agent, they gave it back to an old abusive staff member!! On amino, half the time there is a terrible staff, especially on the most popular aminos such as WA,EA, and BA amino!! On one smaller yet big WA I reported the staff because of how terrible they were as they were abusive and let people steal ocs, team amino didn’t do a thing!! My advice to everyone is to not get this app, it’s not worth the risk of your mental health, trust me on this one. I am still recovering mentally if at all to this day. Get any other social media, just not this one. A majority of people you’ll meet are just toxic relationships waiting to happen.

Isn’t good or bad. Now let me be the first to say, that this shouldn’t be age restricted to 12 year olds only, because first off, u also have a older and more mature audience. Like jfc, you can’t let the adults have fun, and seem to only to target kids so you can make a quick buck and try to build up a army that obeys to your every will without reason. It’s so sad because companies nowadays are just out for it for money, which means: Stricter rules, lesser freedom, more toxicity, outrageous pricing, fake advertising, and SJW logic. Now go ahead if you just wanna make money, that’s fine, but it’s the double standard that I’m complaining about. You seem to change the rules whenever you want to, and whenever we follow the rules, you just ban/disable people anyways. All because the bots tell you to, and your too lazy to make this platform FOR EVERYONE. Besides, Newsflash, you can’t control us forever. They’re still people here who disobey your guidelines and question the true motives behind them. I’m just one of the many other people who think this, and probably feel the same way about this platform, or maybe I’m just the first one to speak out. My new issue is.... So basically when I try and do something on amino it says the the service is unavailable yet I’m on good wifi and my battery’s good. What’s happening? Also I look at a wiki with multiple images and the images get mixed up, like so one picture is behind another that isn’t supposed to be there and it’s only when I’m scrolling through the images not when I’m looking at one individual picture, it’s also only on wikis. I will say I do not like the new chat update, the go live thing is fine but I want the little back button back. It’s difficult when your used to having that back button there. My solution is to move the go live button somewhere in the chat description and put back the back button. Also not to be rude sorry if I comes across as that but instead of adding new features can you guys fix the apps problems then add new features? Every new update brings new problems and they don’t ever get fixed. I’m talking on the behalf of multiple people on the amino I spend the most time on and we all agree you should fix the issues then maybe add new features. Was good but isn’t so much now. In my close to 5 years worth of using amino i’ve had many good and bad time. Recently however it’s just plummeted with the servers always being screwy and many many people getting banned for no reason. One example of that is myself as i admit i have had many accounts before that were banned due to less then proper Pfp’s or the such and often i would get warnings before then to tell me to fix mt act or face the consequences. But recently i had a perfectly fine account with no warnings or strikes get banned and i had been talking about a different app called Project Z. I then learned that alot of people were getting banned due to talking about that other app was blacklisted which made sense with how i was banned. I have since then ceased using amino and thusly lost the ability to talk to can communicate with many friends i have made over the years there only really keeping one or two due to them using other social media outlets like discord or Project Z. Im not here complaining about being banned or demanding my account resorted cause I don’t care i just hope that those there at amino know that by banning talk of other apps or banning users without warnings will just cause your app to fall even more until it’s over shadowed by most everything else

Stop updating so much!. Well, I enjoy Amino a lot! I have a ton of really, like, VERY good friends on there. But something about it is... off. I don’t exactly know if this only happens on my screen and it’s a glitch or something, but, I go to the app at least once a day. This one day I see the notification, “Update Amino,” and you have two options. Either remind me later or update. So I of course choose update, for less bugs and glitches, since some lags happen a few times. Well, I update it and it turns out all of the lag I used to experience is gone! It was a relief for me. Bad news is, once I got the notification, I updated it every single day. What? I mean, I don’t know why they make updates so much. I kept tapping the option update amino so I went to the app store every day and updated the app.. Yeah. PLUS EDIT: I can’t even get used to one update format and now you’re making me get used to another. ANOTHER WHOLE FORMAT! Isn’t that too crazy? I first update it and don’t get so used to the format settings. So then, I get barely used to it and the next day you always are like, “UPDATE THE APP” and I update it and I’m so confused with the format again. Barely getting used to it, it tells me to update again. What? Anyways, this is just a small problem you should fix...

Stop. Changing. The. Menus.. I love this app (mostly) I really do, but I swear stop moving around buttons and changing the menus it’s not that important. The moment I get used to the menus and get muscle memory to the locations of buttons you change it every fricking time. Just stick to one and keep it like that. I don’t care about “Improving user experience” or any bull crap you can say as an excuse for constantly moving around stuff. Once or twice maybe but not every month it feels like. At least give an option for the old menus if your going to change it up, I never want to update this app because I know if I do the menus will change and this update I even looked in the logs for change and all it said was “Bug fixes” so I downloaded it and was frustrated when seeing everything different. Edit: Yet another update listed “bug fixes” and nothing more. I don’t use any of these extra buttons stop creating things nobody is going to use. I’m getting fortnite stories in my bar, if I wanted stories about fortnite I’d join that amino. Your not improving your app, your not enhancing experience, your just being frustrating. Why not fix other bugs like connection completely dropping or notifications not showing up or not going away. Spend your resources wisely.

A Very Good App, However One Thing.... I’ve been using Amino since 2019, and it’s by far the only other app, beside Snapchat, which I’ve become comfortable using to talk to friends I’ve made. I’ve even gotten into making my own Amino, with my own rules and where my friends can, as of relatively recently, can chat with me on there. I will say, the update with my Global Account, I have experienced one thing, on Global and on desperate Aminos, and that’s lag. Ever since the update regarding Global Accounts, I’ve noticed more and more that as I’m on Aminos and going through separate chats, it lags severely even though my internet is perfectly well. When I tap to get out of a chat, I have to click around three times, which results in me not only getting off the chat, but also the Animo itself. And when I click to go see a chat I’m in, it opens it multiple times, lagging worse as I try to “x” out of the extras. The only way it seems it goes back to normal is if I turn the app off and restart it, and even then it takes around twice or at least three restarts to work properly. This app is amazing in my honest opinion, and this is the only problem I’ve ever come across in my year, almost two years now, or having the app. It definitely deserves the five-stars, though the lagging, if other people are experiencing it too, may make people rethink giving it five stars. I hope in a future update that this lagging issue is resolved.

Good app, ignore the bullies. Most of The rules are great and there are some great people who monitor everything, if you don’t listen to a rule on purpose then you’re kicked out or if you accidentally do it they let you get a chance to fix it depending on what you did. Great app! Super easy! Super fun!!! In the beginning I made a post though and I was accused of lying and being a cheater, I was starting to get bullied a little bit so I just left that amino and never came back! But it did really hurt my feelings that people can be so mean but I’ve recovered from that incident. Besides that amino, they are all super friendly and I’ve kind of made some friends along with making a couple of my own Aminos called “Rabbit And Bunny Lovers Amino”, And “ Horse Lovers Amino” 😊❤️ I personally like the new update a lot but the ads get a little annoying. I’ve been in a lot of different communities and most of them are extremely friendly and nice. I have a decent follower count on all the communities that I’m in and has had a lot of fun making posts! I’m known as ~IVY~ on the Dog Amino which is probably one of my favorite communities that I’m in. I have learned so much from the communities that I’m in and would like to someday be a profession animal photographer! ~Animal Fanatic💕

Best Roleplay App To Date. I’ve been using Amino since 2019 and it has never, ever failed to help me wake up in the morning. I’m an avid writer and I always found it hard to consistently write on other platforms or just write amongst myself on apps like Wattpad. However, after me and a few friends of mine transferred over to Amino to continue our roleplaying, I’ve come to love Amino with all of my heart. From the community customization to the broad spectrum of submissions such as wikis, questions, polls, etc. it’s all five stars across the board. There are amazing writers, editors, fans, and people on this app that I have come across. It’s truly one of a kind and for someone who is now the Kevin Fiege of their own Amino roleplay community, I can safely say it’s a writer’s dream. It grants an audience, a platform, and potential for stories and characters unlike anything I’ve seen on an app before. Amino is literally the last app I’d think to delete off of my phone. It’s very well designed and I hardly ever have problems on it. You can play D&D on it, create stories and characters, or simply chat amongst others who share mutual love of entertainment. It’s one of kind, it truly is.

Fun but some errors-. I’ve always enjoyed Amino. It’s a fun Roleplay game to find your inner creativity and to make new friends who share the same ideas as you. It’s a great idea, although there is a few complaints. One of those complaints being that it’s always “out of service”. I swear almost every day Amino is having an issue with all the servers. Sometimes for a few minutes but other times for hours, which makes it extremely frustrating when you’re trying to text someone who has no other social you can text them on. Another issue I have is with some of the people ON amino. Which is the children. Not all of them are bad but most of them cause issues by trolling and bullying, a lot of them reporting people for no reason just because they don’t like you. I do wish to say, that amino is a fun app nevertheless for finding friends, creating stories, aesthetics and OCs. It does help me store future book characters away there until I’ve had a chance to put them into a real story. My only real complaint is, again, the “out of service” errors I constantly receive when trying to log on...

Great app! Horrible leaders. Amino is one of my favorite apps. It's a great way to meet new people who share the same hobbies as you. I always have someone to talk to on this app! But dear lord, most of the Aminos are run by children who don't know what there doing and have no idea of the rules. Some have came in cursing up a storm when it's clearly against the rules on that specific Amino. One of the same leaders called out everyone in a public chatroom for spamming the chat when everyone was just simply putting in art request in a orderly manor, one at a time, and they new that. I swear the amount of times I've gotten post disabled for having 3 sentences instead of 4 while others get away with extremely sexual and inappropriate jokes in PUBLIC chatrooms is absolutely unacceptable. Also, recently I've seen a sharp increase in the amount of members who start large amounts of private chats with random members asking them to join there new Amino. I understand it's hard to grow your own niche Amino on this app, but there are specific Amino's to promote yours, don't do it where you can't! That is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to how many times I've been screwed over by leaders/curators on actually big Aminos that should have intelligent leaders!

Pretty good, few issues. Ok so I want to say, amino is a great app with a pretty user friendly setup. This being said, there are a lot of issues too. One that I experience more often than not is whenever I close out of the app and then reopen it more than 3 times, it gets super laggy and yucky. This is a problem for me because I’ve got multiple things going on, and have to switch back and forth rather frequently. Another thing that I’m not quite fond of is when you’re scrolling through the feed and encounter an ad. This wouldn’t be such an issue for me if it didn’t open up the App Store every time I accidentally scroll and touch the ad with my finger. It helps the lag problem grow all the quicker, which is not appreciated. Lastly, for the past while, whenever I check my notifications it no longer highlights which ones are new. It’s been happening since one of my posts got featured, and it’s really frustrating when I’m trying to reply to comments and I can’t figure out which notifs are new and which I’ve already seen. After saying all this though, I can still say that amino is an overall good app with (mostly)friendly users. The chat rooms and their features work rather well, and it’s very easy to navigate through the app. I suggest getting it if you’re fine with some occasional lag

Bots…. In just 4 days I have gotten 121 messages from bots… I’m the type of person to keep their messages fairly organized since I hate seeing the red mark showing I have a message, so I keep things organized so I know when I do have a new message- but 121 messages… from bots… in 4 days… it’s just way too much! I know I’m not the only one dealing with this and the app is so much better other then the sometimes glitching and I know your working to fix all the things that have happened but the bots right now are over board…. My best idea is to create something on the profile that mutes messages for just the main account- not for that and all the communities but just that one so people don’t have to deal with constantly being messaged by bots, idk if it will work but it’s only a suggestion because I wanna be able to be on the app without having to constantly get rid of bot messages… I hope this can get get through to someone and possibly be helpful because I speak for a lot of people when I say it’s annoying… you can’t just block them because they come on different accounts all the time and the people on the comments mainly are telling them to go away and leave them alone… they just won’t stop!

CONSTANTLY CRASHING & BUGS. In a since 5 minutes of using this app its guaranteed to crash several times. Their servers have no one of maintaining constant use. If you scroll to much *crash* if you open to many chats *crash* if you scroll to much to tag people in messages *crash* if you open to many communities *crash* if you scroll to much on home page *crash* scroll to much on featured feed *crash* if you scroll to much in your saved post *crash* if you switch between drafts to fast *crash* and SO MANY MORE. It will literally crash and close mid scroll. i’ve deleted and reinstalled several times, my app is up to date. and not to mention the other bugs — lost in internet connection?? have to close and reopen the app. 408 bad gateway, have to close and reopen the app. CONSTANT messages becoming marked as unread, have to open multiple communities to clear them which makes the app… you guessed it boys CRASH. I am a longtime amino user from 2020 in covid times and i’m most definitely not praying on your downfall but I sincerely hope another app comes along to fill this gap because this app has become more and more bugged out and slow and glitchy and just poorly managed overall. + You literally can’t reach a human for help with anything no matter how you contact them. I hope this comment ages bad and the app gets fixed but as of right now it’s looking like it’ll age like fine wine.

Nice, but has bugs and is annoying. Ok so first, amino is great. It’s great for finding fandoms that don’t have a very big community. The chat rooms work fine in my experience, and the people are mostly friendly. There are rules on every fandom base, and so much more. But I feel the cons are at an equal with the pros here. First thing I noticed that was really annoying was the bell check in. I wish that just going into the fandom home was enough for checking in. Not to mention the cards and coins. I honestly couldn’t care less about coins, and I wish there was a way to stop getting pop ups for the card coin select thing. I only ever get one coin anyways, the pop up asking you to turn on notifications is especially annoying too. Even the chat room is annoying. I don’t know if there’s a way to stop chat pop ups, but I honestly don’t use amino that much because of it. And lastly, I use a tablet and an iPhone for amino, but recently my tablet screen freezes up right when I open the app, and I can’t click anything. Even after I close the app tab and wait for a while, it freezes up again. And only ever works again in a couple of days or so. Please fix this I really like the fandoms I follow, and I wish this would work already. Thank you.

Can be used for good.. I’ve had amino for almost 4 years. When I first found it, it was amazing I found so many amazing people. After using for a long time, I noticed quite a bit of toxicity and problems with this App. For Example, many younger kids use it and there are many older adults, this causes disrespect, also too much exposure to older content for the younger kids. Many people would talk about inappropriate topics even if kids were there. This causes many kids to be saying things that harm their future and innocence. I am aware that many people will say that kids probably already know that content, but I’m saying this as a 13 year old girl that has used this for 4 years. I have said so many things that I wish to take back, so many topics that I wish to never see again. I worry so much that 7 year olds will use this app and get sexually harassed and hurt because of the things they say and the things they post. I’ve seen many people kill themselves because of the harmful comments. This overexposure and lack of security can lead to many harmful things. Honestly, it was tough choosing what I should rate this, but I do admit that I have made so many good, wonderful friends, but the way I was speaking made me get in horrible trouble. Anyways, this app could be a little better on security for the younger users. This is a great app, but needs a bit of work. From, A Concerned Member from the Amino Community.

Amazing. One of the apps that I actually enjoy exploring and getting involved in different kinds of communities and meeting new people! I have met really kind people in this app, and overall I had an amazing experience, and hope that everyone does too! Overall it’s my favorite app, and recommend others to download and try it too! However, even though I think it’s an awesome app, and everything, it has its own flaws, or let me rephrase myself, weird people that make this app a little dangerous for kids that are not aware of the internet predators and perils. I have come across one amino community that I have joined and one of the official authorities had given me an introduction, like they do for all other aminos, however this one was totally different. And that is because it stated something about that majority of the users are girls, and they wanted me to send them a picture of myself just wearing my bra. That offended me so much that I was ready to write a complaint but decided otherwise! That audacity of them even thinking that I was going to do such thing that might endanger my privacy is unacceptable and those people should be banned from an app that mostly young teenagers and kids occupy. That could be prevented of course, if the kids are aware of such ugly people, and I would highly encourage people using this app and being careful on who chatting with.

I love Amino. I’ve been on amino for years and I absolutely love it. There’s no limit to how many things you can join. If you love anime, drawing, k-pop, writing, singing, there’s pretty much an amino for everything. The amino communities, in my experience, are very welcoming. In my opinion it’s an overall positive environment. It’s a place where you can talk to people with the same interests as you. None of my friends love k-pop. They think it’s stupid and sometimes “tease” me about it (all in good fun) but it’s not like I can talk and fan girl to them about BTS or EXO because they wouldn’t care. Amino is a safe space where I can do that without being judged and even make some new acquaintances along the way. Not to mention, the app is fairly easy to navigate. If there was one thing I personally am not a fan of in amino, it’s where you can’t create your own amino page section thing. You’re the leader of the page, yes. And it can be fun. But it’s hard to get people to join the amino and be interested. And you can like invite a bunch of random strangers but I don’t know. That part just never goes well for me. I think there should be a thing that recommends other amino pages. Like if an account is following several black pink or BTS pages maybe they can get recommended other k-pop pages. This way other pages are able to get more mutuals and people can join if they’re interested.

Amino. It is overall a really good app when it comes to communicating and meeting new people whom share similar interests as you however there are a few things that I am not too big of a fan of when it comes to this app. It crashes kind of often lately and the team never really takes in our suggestions to fix some of the issues. Instead we get an automatic reply and then after a few days another one from a staff member basically saying the same thing or suggesting something that isn’t even helpful. The app really downgrades picture quality and the HD version you get within Amino + doesn’t really make a lot of a difference. You can’t upload “big” files but the app only tells you that once you’ve uploaded it all and hit post. It’s be extremely helpful to bring back the option to not be able to insert a picture or gif if it exceeds the limit. False reports are another thing. Sometimes people falsely report other members and Amino does not really even review it thoroughly and I know this through an experiment I did with a fake account. I believe that Amino is still a great app but they forget about the little details as they are overwhelmed by the big and that’s what is dragging the app down slowly. There are a few more things I would like to address regarding this app but those are just some I think concerns me and my experience along with my friends the most.

The purchasing with amino coins. Yes I have to agree, Amino is such a great and amazing app where you can find a subject that you like and express yourself in anyway you like but the one thing that really hinders that large expression of ones self is the speech bubbles, the frames, ect… We find it an issue that this amazing app still has the same problem it has for a while now. Why do we have to use all the time we had to collect all those amino coins and then to have purchased a accessory for Your please on the app and then to only have it for a month or a couple of days, it makes no sense to have all that time and patience to save up then to basically say back in there face that it doesn’t even matter. A lot of us old time amino users would love this change from temporary purchase to being able to just buy it the. We keep it because we’ve earned the right to have that we had the patience and the time to wait on our thing we want, we would love it. I understand this is measly another review on this app and will most likely be pushed back with more reviews but I wish that you at least took the time to read and understand the message I’m trying to give, thank you for you’re time.

To Team Amino. Hello Amino! I am known as Rachelle in Amino but also Hani in Kpop communities. I really do love this app and it’d be great if you took my advice! I’m a big fan of role playing on Amino. So...some advice I have here is please please please moderate the sexual activity and bullying happening in communities. It makes the communities less fun as well as ruin experiences for others and force others to leave due to bullying. Also I want to bring up something else, please read our reviews when members flag certain things such as communities. I flagged Camp Crystal Lake 2.0 for a reason yet the leaders keep remaking it! Here’s my reason, the leaders were abusing their power and banning members!!!! Please do something about this such as removing those leaders from the community and bringing better moderators. That is just bullying!!! I was banned for just wanting to switch camps in that community! *note* Please don’t join but report camp crystal lake 2.0. Also another convenient thing is being able to hide your posts from certain members including certain leaders. I blocked the leader who banned me and fought for my justice by posting screenshots of the bullying and she was still able to see it and banned me before I could defend myself. Good Until It Wasn’t Anymore. Amino itself has been working pretty well in connecting people and interacting in whatever community you choose to be in. However, its gone downhill in some of the features its chosen to add. Given that this platform can have users join starting at the age of 12, the newly added live function isn’t exactly the most appropriate for minors to see + not exactly a comfortable thing everyone wants to view as soon at they open any amino community. Majority of the thumbnails are of women in a sexualized display and honestly that just shouldn’t be on a platform like this one. Some other annoying things that Amino has started to do is they have taken away your ability to stop more ads from occurring for x2 coins which not everyone wants to deal with. And lastly, the amount of coins a person can send within a single timeframe. They’ve limited it so if you send 5k ac all in one shot, you have to wait a full 24 hours to even send ac again. Its a very negative move they’ve pulled as in many communities (such as those who do art commissions or sell characters) don’t charge low prices for their stuff, making it an excruciating process having to wait every 24 hours for a high payment of ac

I love amino, but things need to be fixed. I love this app man. I really do. But some of these updates really take me off my old love for it. If theres anything I can say are the worst is the newest update where rather than have the chat as a button on the top bar as it use to be, it was replaced by a store button which is completely unnecessary. If I wanted full access to the store I could have went to it straight from the home page but no, the feature I and many used the most was taken and now Im forced to tap on the amino button and THEN click the chats and then enter the chats. Its really annoying, especially because now the button to leave specific communities is right NEXT to the button I need to tap to do this, and I keep exiting on accident. The only thing more annoying than this is the fact I cant go into chats hosting a call without being forced to be added to the listeners when all I want to do is chat, not hear my friends talking. I had to make a new chat with them specifically so I didn't have to be forced into listening when I really couldn't in the situation. I love you amino, but these updates are really throwing me and my friends off. we know you are trying to improve but to us it seems like youre only ever downgrading nowadays.

A Clever Communicator. One of the most appealing things about this app from the get-go is its engagement method. From whatever of the countless communities of personal interest you choose to get involved with, you are immediately provided connection with other members to follow and subsequently be followed by. A daily reward of in-app currency for customizing your experience encourages regular check-ins, as well as grants the ability to gift others for especially intriguing posts. Communities are simple and easy to join, creating your own community is by all means comprehensive, and the moderation of community content and guidelines is done by other users and creators of the communities themselves. Overall, an excellent resource for meeting like-minded strangers and uniquely expressing yourself. The only gripe I have that prevents me from giving the app a perfect 5-star rating is the user-interface. It suffers from the unpopular limitation of screen rotation, so operating on a tablet or large mobile device is awkward. This issue is magnified since some major icons and menu swipes are either smaller than anything else on the screen or located in regions that can feel unnatural, so navigation can be finicky. Other than that, among social media tools there’s really nothing else quite like it.

Bring back the old search filter.. they completely messed up the search feature so when you search for someone in the community instead of giving you the community profiles, it gives you the global ones. Ever since geeking went down, Amino has become a corrupted, negligent, and completely uncaring company. They’d rather make money at the expense of us users than listen to and treat us fairly. They implement changes that no one asked for while ignoring ones people have wanted for years like search filters! But not only did they ignore that, but they in fact decided to mess up the search ability we already had to the point where it makes it impossible to find role-play partners. When I’m searching for someone in a community, I don’t want to be brought to the global profile page. I want to see their profiles in the community. I want to be able to go to the person’s community profile wall, that way, I can comment on it and see they have rules and stuff like a Bio or send them a message. But now, when I search for people in a community, instead of being taken to their wall, I get sent to global profile and I’m not able to see if they have role-play rules or anything like a bio. Whatever this search thing is, it is incredibly limiting and honestly very detrimental to the social interaction between people on this app.

Bring back the option to turn off ads please. I’ve been using amino for a long time and definitely love it’s layout and it’s easy to navigate. It’s better than project z in my opinion in that it makes inappropriate content a little harder to come by and seems well monitored in that aspect, at least in the communities I’ve joined. HOWEVER recently they’ve turned on ads and no have no option to turn them back off like they used to. You could turn them on to urn little bits of extra coins but if you don’t care about coins and it’s perks like I do. It’s much more convenient to have them off so it doesn’t interrupt your browsing and reading experience. I’m okay with the occasional pop up every now and then but imbedded in all the pages and blogs gets annoying. Maybe it’s part of the reason I don’t stay on as long as I used to. UPDATE: your now forced to see live streams that are inappropriate 18+ at the top of community pages that also don’t have anything to do with the communities topic. This can not be turned off, so much for being a safe space for younger aged kids and opening the doors to pedophiles and people who would exploits minors. Sorry but I don’t want to see your boobs out at the top of my screen on an amino that is about taking care of your pets or plants or when I want to discuss my love of travel.

Nobody wanted this most recent update. This update is really stupid. And the thought of Kik taking over Amino is complete crap. There is no reason these two apps should be put together. Also, the live feature isn’t even cool. There are so many other social media apps that have this feature that actually benefit from it. Amino isn’t one of those. Amino is for a demographic of 12+ whereas Kik is for 17+. The new live update has brought people from Kik onto Amino, and that causes a bigger chance of grooming and other major issues to happen. I am a 19 year old who has amino, and even I don’t feel safe with this update. I’ve heard stories about horrible, horrible things that happened on Kik, like some old guy coming to a girls house even though she never disclosed where she lived. It’s crap like this that makes me hate the idea of social media. Please, if any parents or kids see this, please, please petition to keep the horrible app known as Kik away from Amino and to get the live update removed. As for MediaLab, you should take more care of an app that was sold and trusted to you. I am extremely disappointed with how you’ve taken care of this app for the past year and a half. Thank you for ruining a safe-haven for so many minors and people who just want a place to escape. What you have done is make an environment that these people are now afraid to be in, people are leaving Amino as we speak due to what you fusing it with Kik. Literally the stupidest decision ever!!!

awesome- just one thing. i love this app probably more than i should. it's a fun way to communicate with my friends, via voice messages, stickers, and texts. however, there are options to customize text boxes, stickers, and pfp profiles, that cost amino coins. that's reasonable, although when i try the "free coins" option, and it pops up with a list of tasks i can do to receive 11 coins, 32 coins, etc. i thought this was awesome- since i don't want to spend too much money on this app. that might change in the future, but, i completed quite a few simple tasks, in hopes of saving up for some LBGTQ+ text boxes and stickers. it says the coins would arrive in an hour. it's been a day. i've triple checked that i've done the tasks correctly, and yet i receive nothing. am i just not checking stuff correctly? i love everything about this game. i'm sad to say i only use it to contact my friends, but i've watched a few livestreams, and i can properly say this app works wonderfully smooth and fast. except for the free coins. i'm aware there's a coupon, but there's no things that are exactly 100 coins, and once i can only use it once. and i don't feel like wasting 99 coins in a 1 coin purchase. thank you for your time.

Improvements needed, but a Good App. Overall, it is a good app. However, there are some things that make it relatively inaccessible for the blind and visually-impaired, at least for users of VoiceOver, such as myself. For one, it seems that only the creation of a question post is fully accessible, between questions, blogs, and stories; I have not attempted other types of posts. Creating a blog post was the most inaccessible, as there appeared to be 2 text fields, one for the title and another for the post. However, everything still ended up in the title. When I tried to submit my post as a story, everything seemed to be fine, until I had typed some of the story itself, at which point it just wouldn't type further. Additionally, when people use certain font styles, VoiceOver reads all kinds of weird symbols, making either parts or all of some posts entirely illegible with VoiceOver. Additionally, I have not been able to figure out a way to accessibly be able to reply directly to specific messages in chats of any kind, only in response to the comments of an actual post. There are also no image descriptions of any kind, for when someone posts an image. Also, I am unable to actually vote on any polls, so I write my votes in the Comments section instead. ALL that being said, the overall use of the app and everything is fine, but some features are not as accessible as they could be. Please consider making this app more accessible for the blind and visually-impaired.

There’s some bugs. Hello, would like to start out by saying that I really love amino and have made many wonderful friends. However as a chat mod on one of my communities I have come across some bugs and even some suggestions that can help make amino much better. First off, me and the staff on a community have found that members we have permanently kicked from a chatroom are able to join back after about a month. This is not a permanent kick in this case and should be fixed immediately. Secondly, we have recently encountered a member who continued to make nearly 30 alternative accounts just to spam and harass the staff. I believe ip banning would be much better than just banning a member to prevent the same person to make different accounts just to troll. Asides from those two I also have suggestions for future features. Rather than having pinned chatrooms I think it would be a good idea to add a private chatrooms section and a public chatrooms section so that our chats can be organized better. I also think that it would be a really cool feature to add music to the background of our posts that members can turn on to listen to or have the option to turn it off. I believe that’s it for my bugs report and ideas. I hope you take my ideas and suggestions into consideration. Thank you for reading.

It’s great!. I absolutely love amino. I’ve been a user for three, almost four years now. It is a great app to indulge in content about your interests and make friends if that’s something your interested in. Over all the years I’ve been here, I’ve been able to explore so many different platforms, community’s, interests, and have made tons of amazing and great friends. Seriously if your looking for a way to pass the time, I really suggest this app! I manage to spend hours on end just chatting and scrolling through feed. It’s quite often that I become number one on the leader boards lol. My only complaint is that the notifications for chats tend to be a bit iffy. Like lately I’ve been having trouble with the notification not going away even after I’ve read the chat I received. It’s not that much of a problem, just a bit annoying because I don’t know if somebody has responded or just an old notification is still there. But, I reported it as a bug, and I’m sure the team will work on it as soon as they have time! They are pretty good about keeping up with bugs, which is something I appreciate! Oh did I even mention how cool each community can be! Like there are lots of communities that host challenges where one can win amino coins and titles and such! Slight Annoyance and Problem. So I just realized that amino for some reason makes my messages appear as if they were old texts until I reload it appearing as my recent text like it normally should be. Why? Because of my timezone, I had to place it ONE hour after the my actual timezone so it would stop it. For example, the chats say “Nov 29, at 8:00am or pm” when my timezone would be 7:00am or pm. As well as after I leave the chat to view my other chats even my own texts seem as if I haven’t checked it either I have to reload or mark it as “read”. I have reported it but I really haven’t seen a change only that I found out the reason with my texts appearing as old messages until I reload is because of the time on my phone I would honestly like if the app could at least allow you to adjust so instead of saying “Nov 29, last updated at 8:00” while being 7:00 for my country it would just say “one moment ago” or “an hour ago” and such... it is a bother that I try to not let it get in the way of talking with my friends in the app or at least place the timezones This is all I could ask in honesty cuz the rest of the app doesn’t really bother me at all sure it tend to freeze up here and there but it something that can easily be fixed by just closing and opening the app again

The app isn’t the worst, but it also isn’t the best. For starters, using Amino coins to buy Amino+ is still broken on iOS despite the devs saying they’d fix it back in something like October 2018. In addition, the desktop site isn’t even remotely caught up to the number of features on the mobile app. You can’t post wikis, you can’t make polls, you can’t even edit your own blog posts if you click on them (apparently, you can only edit it when you’re seeing it from your profile, which is absurd). Mobile and desktop should not have such a significant quality difference. Plus, you can’t repost your own posts, which I think is totally silly especially for content creators who want to promote their commission post or trades etc. They have to make a new post that either restates the info or links to it. Regardless, the biggest issue holding Amino back is the fact that the cross platform versions are completely inconsistent. I rate 2 stars because this platform has great potential and I enjoy using it, but need the devs to understand that debugging new features before releasing them would help their app so much more than the current system (bug fixes? Which ones? I haven’t seen any performance improvement at all, and the devs aren’t transparent with which bugs they’re fixing).

uhh. so idk honestly. i’m eating this 2 stars due to the fact that amino is good and all but banning and striking have become ridiculous. if you didn’t already know, amino will give you 3 warnings then ban you for any “sexual content” posted or shared in pms. you are supposedly able to appeal your ban, strike, or warning, by contacting team amino in the app or by contacting them through their website. i have had my account banned before, for no reason, and tried to figure it out. i emailed and emailed and honestly it took weeks for them to respond. if you use their options they give you on their website, you will get an automatic response and i’m pretty sure they ban your IP address, when banning your account. anyways, i have tried and tried to contact team amino due to this issue which results in them telling me once your account has been banned it’s permanent and that there is nothing you can do about it. team amino is also, i think, very vague and rude in some of their emails. they’re kinda aggressive at times as well. they don’t listen if there’s an issue and again, take forever to respond. i honestly don’t know what happened to the original amino team but the one there is now is horrible. i’ve used amino and other similar apps to this for a long time. and honestly, amino is actually really good. what needs to be fixed is team amino.

Such an entertaining app!. I love this app, so many things to do, watch, and just pass the time by with! I’ve used this app for years and I’ve been thinking how can it get any better? Then I suddenly thought of something that would make the app even more unique and it has to do with profile pictures! A lot of people who use the app join communities that do role play and I am definitely one of them! While writing a response to one of my role play chats, I soon realized that I disliked the fact that my profile picture did not fit the character I was portraying. I have many characters that I portray in a community and each character has their own distinctive look but that couldn’t be seen because I’m stuck with having only one profile picture.. :( So! I thought of something that would be amazing that Amino could add, the ability to set a profile picture in chats separate to the profile picture on your page! I honestly think this would make me extremely happy and be in character when I’m doing a role play in multiple chat rooms! Please think about making this possible? It would be an amazing feature that I think everyone will love and enjoy!

The app is good, but... I got Amino for my love of Steven Universe, and I’ve had the app since September 27th of this year. I can fairly say the app is fun and great for meeting new people! My problems surfaced a few days into the app, when I noticed how slow and laggy it was. I got over it, until it started crashing and bringing my phone down with it. I have an IPhone 5, and I know the phone isn’t the problem because I have had this phone for over a year now, and it never does me wrong. Now, suddenly, my Amino crashes, and my phone won’t turn on, nor even work enough for me to restart it myself. I have to wait 10-20 minutes for the phone to have so much problems, it has to restart by itself. It’s something that has really ticked me off - and when I tried to use my laptop for the app instead, you hardly get any of the abilities on a laptop then you got on the phone. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, as well as deleting literally EVERYTHING from my phone, (Texts, Apps, Photos, etc.) and it still doesn’t work! The app is just really glitchy and will crash on you, so I don’t really recommend it.

Current Update.. I personally haven’t had any sort of bad experiences with Amino updates, I’ve been on this app for a couple of years now it’s been pretty well. I meet great people and I’ve made some friends over the past years. Not to mention sometimes I make year friends and some of them are still here with me. Though there is this recent update that has been affecting pretty much everyone on the app and it needs to truly get fixed ASAP. When we send our messages it will show the red mark which means it didn’t send. The thing is when we refresh it doesn’t show it anymore meaning it did send. If you click on the red mark and resend it, it will send the message twice. In this new update as well we haven’t been getting notifications even if we have them on, there’s also a lot of times where it shows the notification but we have already read it but it shows it’s still there, it’s gets really irritating for us. Please fix amino. It’s truly irritating a lot of people. I would also like to mention. May you please be able to add in a way where people can use their coins for amino + on IPhone. Not everyone wants to pay for Amino + and some people wants to use their coins. If not then coins seem pretty useless for us.

Just a little changes. So first off, this is a real good app where u can express yourself and just watch what u wanna watch and, like follow people, post stuff for entertainment and stuff but, there’s some stuff I regret just looking at, so I closed the app for a little while and then I opened it and it said choose three topics your in to, or you like I really didn’t want to!!! So I pressed next, it didn’t let me go... I was mad.. just because what if I pick these topics and I’ll just stick to those topics forever and be bored! :( >:c but I chose them anyway, because I thought no big deal right? So then I chose, gaming, art, and I think idk maybe roplay, and I regret what I saw.. it was literally so scary, and it was a scary photo or someone just did there makeup like that! But I regret just seeing that because I HATED IT AND I WAS SCARED! :((( >:ccc, I’m not a scardy cat or anything but HONESTLY it was scary, and then I thought oh wow someone probably drew something like that, but like LITERALLY I never said scary ART DID I? and there was also something else scary but I don’t wanna look back at it, I just wish I never would have to choose any topics, and I regret seeing that, so plz just fix it I’m very terrified by that.. but I’m still keeping the app anyway, I hope all of you are alert about this because u might see stuff u regret seeing...

Was fine until last year. The app was a great place to be, save a few people and places, but that in 2017 and early 2018. After the introduction of Voice Chats and screening rooms, the chat UI has looked awful. And then later the GUI of the main screens changed and looked even worse. Add to that all the glitches and bugs and other things that ruin the experience for users. Plus the bots invade privacy by checking through people’s PMs without any notification and striking them if they sent certain kinds of images even if the other person consented to it and was 18+. Also in an Amino I am in, there was an Ecchi chat that was made and then the Amino as a whole was put on probation for one person’s deeds and the person who made the chat had nothing done to them besides eventually getting banned from that Amino by the leader and eventually being banned from most Aminos that related to the first Amino. You seem to target people who have only done minor things once or twice, but when someone does a major thing like that, you threaten the whole Amino and don’t do anything to the person who did it. You really need to get your act together and start fixing your stuff before the app just becomes a dumpster fire and all that’s left is pedophiles and people who can’t go anywhere else because they have been banned from everywhere else they want to go.

Decent at best.. I’ve been a user since the very beginning (circa 2018?) so I’ve been around to watch this app evolve, and it… hasn’t been for the better. At its core, Amino is ok for roleplayers and art accounts, and that’s honestly about it. The “original” form of the app played into this and it worked better for what it was, but now the developers are trying to make Amino into a “real” social media app, and that’s where I’m having issues now. Amino+ and Coins are essentially useless unless you care about chat themes and profile frames (and image quality being locked behind a monthly paywall), and with the constant addition of features, the app is now a cluttered mess with no identity. The original user base was mainly here for fandom chat and RP, and they’ve been completely alienated with the addition of useless monetization, “global chat” (which is only ever used by spambots), and livestreaming. And that’s not even getting into the constant glitches, lag, and server issues that take FOREVER to be resolved. If the devs really want to save their platform, they should do away with all the random features. Maybe Amino would still have its niche if it went back to being a fandom and roleplay-centered app, but for now, it’s a cluttered, broken mess that doesn’t know what it wants to be. If you want all these functions in an app, save your time and go download Instagram.

What they don’t tell you about Amino. For starters I love the Amino app it’s a great way to connect to others! However there are a ton of scammers and people the promote pornography etc. now I know the app is only for older kids/teens but we all know younger kids can get on the app and that’s risky and here’s why. There are people messaging and sending links of pornography and scamming oblivious children. They prey on those that don’t know any better, you can block and do whatever you like except stop people from following you. I myself am having this issue I have had to turn off comments but there is no way to stop these pornography promoters from following you and they don’t even bother to hide what they are promoting the pictures are disgusting and children don’t need to see that! So far other then that Amino’s great and they do a pretty good job keeping it safe but prepare yourself for not being able to avoid those types of people they are persistent and continually bother you. I suggest that amino adds it in so you can turn off the ability for people to follow you then you can have confidence that they can’t continue to bother you by following messaging or commenting on your profile.

Newest Update. I have to say the newest amino update of October 2018, it’s not bad. I just don’t like the new format. I was just barely getting used to the one before it and I have to say I do have a complaint. Before the last two updates and versions, the voice calling, you could enter a chat and choose whether or not you wanted to listen to the call. But after the last update (Not October) you could not. You’d open a chat with a voice call and immediately be put in to listen to the call, and couldn’t actually just talk in the chat without having to listen to it. Now this is a big thing for me because I like to listen with headphones but if I’m out in public and there’s an incoming voice call, I can’t enter the chat to text because I don’t have anything to make the chat quiet with. I’d really like the old version back where the “my chats” was still in the top right corner instead of this bar that’s kind of slightly annoying on the bottom of my screen. It is slightly harder to navigate because instead of just swiping right on the side of my screen to pull up the menu to look at what I have notifications with, i have to click the bell then click out then go and click my chats on the bottom of the screen. Also the new feature where the exit of the comm button is right on the screen is highly annoying. Like if I accidentally click it while trying to navigate through the main part of the comm, I get exited out of the comm.

A remarkable app!. Amino is truly a wonderful app! At first, I wasn’t that much interested in this, but after a while, I was addicted. You can check in daily and get coins, play quizzes and chat. You can post your art, make Wikipedia’s and write stories. It is really outstanding. You can find other people who have the same interests, and find all of the things you enjoy in one app. Amino gets you connected with all of the people who like what you do instantly, by simply downloading this. I would highly suggest getting this if you are looking for a way to get in touch with your fandom or community. (I’ve found more people through this, some accounts having YT channels, and I can see their content.) There is so much you can discover on this, without hesitation I would advise you to get this! There are so many communities, and it wouldn’t be that hard to find yours. You can see your favorites artist’s posts, or a writer’s stories. Some users have amazing ideas, that I never knew had existed until I had joined this app. Remarkable is almost an understatement. I can follow along with my community. Download Amino, and try it out! u m m m m m i d k. Honestly, there’s some stuff that I really enjoy with amino. But honestly it can glitch, have unnecessary updates that take up a bunch of space, community’s not open due to the amount of bots, take forever to load, and just be really crappy a lot of the time. In regards to its community’s and people, there are constantly people getting kicked for small misconceptions, grooming happening to the young group on amino, so it’s not safe for smaller kids who are trying to grow on amino. Don’t get me wrong, the app is great letting you create a space to get away, to make friends online, and vent to people who you won’t see everyday. I enjoy role playing, chatting to people, and just overall posting my art and writing. Some of the community’s I’m on are more lenient to posting art than writing and that pisses me off. I’m constantly posting writing, which gets the chance to be featured, and gets rejected. In short, this app can be great for an escape after school, posting art and writing, and just opening up. But it can also be semi dangerous, and a really annoying app, and people, to work with.

I love this app 😍😍. Amino is a great app in which you can connect with people that have the same interests as you all over the world. One of my favourite aminos is the fitness amino which is an awesome place to share and gain fitness and nutrition tips. I love being able to post blogs which I do progress photos on everyday and I also love the feature of being able to do polls and ask people questions. You can customise the look of your blog and home pages by changing the background (you can have gifs as backgrounds!) and adding lots of photos. The only little thing is that I wish I could get some of the membership stuff for free 😅 I love using the app but I’m not allowed to get a membership. Other than that it’s an awesome app which I love and i would recommend it to anyone that likes Instagram and apps like that. xx

Change back the layout of chatrooms and the vc. I love amino the community and everyone in it, I love the stuff people do and talking to them. But now amino you messed up and changed the vc and chatroom layout. Can you please at least change the vc layout, I hate it, it’s a bit annoying, I can’t even text people when I am voice chatting, I like the old layout where it was better and a messy but to me organised looking vc and I could actually text within the chat. Also the chatrooms are everywhere now before it was organised in a row, having titles clearly unlike now, it’s mixed with vc and chatrooms. So please amino change it back I really don’t like this new update. Please I beg you change it back.

Great app just one problem. Like I said it's a great app it would be a 5 star of this problem I have, the problem is that I am hosts and co-hosts in chats and for some reason when and/or if I press someones profile when it says kick, profile, and start chat it will not register as I have pressed anything. I am unsure if this problem is just me or many others, I know it's not my phone since it's a brand new iPhone 13 pro max. If you could fix this problem it would be gladly appreciated. Thank you!

Best for small fandoms. I love this game series "Lifeline", and it's so hard for me to find blogs on tumblr or posts on Instagram about it. So I decided to get amino and I found so many people that love it just as much as me!!! It's so good to open up the app and find yourself in so much content specifically for your fandom or interest. I highly recommend this app for smaller fandoms because its perfect for them. Thanks!! EDIT: also I wanted to thank amino for always providing consistent updates that actually improve the app in so many ways. You won't regret trying Amino it has EVERYTHING you need trust me, i barley use Instagram and Tumblr for fandom stuff now.

Love it!!. Honestly Amino is such a fun thing to use, there’s countless people you can talk to about things you love all over the world and there’s literally a community for everything- My only bug about it is that it’s really easy to get a post violated and their against advertising or pasting links to external things you’ve worked on, for example I write fanfic and wanted to use amino as a space to promote it however that wasn’t on so my post got violated. I understand about them wanting to keep a safe community and it is annoying when all people post is advertising- just the fact that this was my fact post. However apart from that it’s an amazing app and I would certainly recommend!! You can literally end up talking to anyone but it’s so incredibly safe-

Good app, lots of problems though. So, I’ve been on amino for a while and it’s an amazing place, I’ve made some really good friends and had amazing conversations on there But I have noticed a lot of issues Although I’m just repeating everything that most people have said I think If we say it enough team amino will see it. 1: image quality is bad and the unnecessary watermark is worse. The only way to get good image quality is with Amino+ 2: Amino+ is honestly not even worth having, especially now that you can’t pay for it with coins which was the only reason people had them. Now they’re kinda useless 3: its layout is annoying and the placement of some buttons gets frustrating One I can personally complain about is the leave chat button. Since you can tap on a icon in a char t and get a small look of their profile you can do the same to yourself, however sometimes I accidentally open this and forget it’s open, only to later go to type something and then hit That button I think it needs to be moved because I know a few people who’s accidentally left chats because of it

It’s a bit laggy and glitchy.. So the app is almost perfect, the interface is pretty well made, everything is accessible, it’s just glitches and bugs that need to be squashed :/, iv noticed that the app has become overly laggy over the last month and it keeps coming up with an internet warning saying I don’t have any when I clearly do and it’s working in front of me. Also, the app on the home screen only shows 1 notification instead of how many I actually have.

Really?... It was one thing to get rid of the option to buy chat bubbles, though it was another to get rid of the option to use coins to buy amino+. At this point, aside from the very few options for stickers and profile frames..what's the point of coins anymore? Not everyone wants to buy stickers, and certainly not frames... and I, probably like some others, certainly don't want to have to spend money for something we could have continued using amino coins for... I see no point in saving up my coins anymore to be honest. Please bring the options back.

Progressively Getting Worse. A couple of years ago, this would’ve been 5 stars. So I’ve stuck by this app. I always looked past it’s flaws and thought it was a good app overall. But now they’re getting hard to overlook. This app has a major glitch on the daily. “Internal Server Error” is something I see way too often. I can’t message people through chats because of this constantly. I wrote a story on amino, and I write lengthy stories, and they used to warn me when I hit the word limit. But it didn’t warn me this time. I wrote past it, published it, and it cut off the third act of my story and I had to rewrite it again. Things constantly will not load. The app will often crash and kick me out. Ads, which were once optional for optional coins, now flood the place, making it annoying to just quickly check on your aminos and then leave the app. I still use amino. I still like the fundamental ideas of amino. It allows your work to be given attention by people who have a higher chance of appreciating it. It allows you to find people who share the same interests as you. But dang, is it buggy. I’m not good at computers or phones AT ALL, but surely this isn’t a normal level of glitches compared to other apps I use.

It’s amazing. I love this app cuz I’m an introvert and I’m not good at talking to other people about my hobbies and games like elnea kingdom :3. None of my friends play elnea kingdom but I search it up, and right there is the community for it and I really enjoy meeting nice people and laughing together. It also really gives me a lot of happiness to see just getting 5 likes 😌. And if they comment, even better. Ok.. so really amazing app for introverts and people who want to know more about their interests.(so much 0.0)

Amino bugs :(. Hi amino :) Unfortunately right now, me and many other peers in the amino community are experiencing crazy bugs that won’t disappear no matter what we do to try and fix it. Firstly, when open a message in chats and get out of it, It still shows as our friend’s message being unread. Secondly, when we send a message, it shows as the text not sending, but it actually has. This all very frustrating and annoying!!!!!! I love this app, but this is certainly something that needs to get fixed ;/

Broken App. At this point I think this app is one of the jankiest ones I’ve ever been on. There are so many glitches that come with the useless update and there’s some pretty important things to fix. Things like not being able to see the recent mod history, strikes not working and not muting the selected user for the right amount of time, messages appearing above the text bubble, or even backwards (this also happens in the preview), usernames appearing backwards when showing who’s typing, the screen being permanently sideways after opening an image, making it so you have to open an image again to fix it. The bots that are deployed by Team Amino are ridiculous and you should be able to see who they ban within your community and what exactly for, as well as other punishments. I’m happy that you guys look into appeals that people make, and fix the issue at least sometimes when punishing someone wrongly but that’s not always the case. What’s also annoying is that users can like and unlike a post many times, and you get all the notifications for it. Leaders should also be able to contact members even with their wall and DM’s closed in case of emergencies. There is all this and more that I’m sure I’ve forgotten to mention. It’s ridiculous and there are never any useful updates to fix this.

Not good enough. At this point if I could rate this app zero stars I probably would. Notifications don’t come through, repeated server errors and it seems like the developers either can’t or wont fix it, it’s been over a year and it’s getting progressively worse. If the developers don’t pull their heads in and fix the app it’ll die sooner rather than later but again it seems like the developers don’t care. Just shut the app down permanently and make a new one, it’s hard to even give constructive feedback anymore. Not to mention the service is awful. I’ve recently had account issues, I’m 100 percent confident my account was deleted over a week ago but I’m still about to restore it. I’m starting to suspect that maybe someone else has been signing in to it so I reported the issue and asked the team to delete the account permanently ASAP and they refused to even try to help me, wouldn’t even refer me on to someone that would help me.

It’s ok. I like the app and all since I can talk to my friends and show my art but lately with the all of amino+ I have been having some problems and mixed feelings towards the app. Like today I woke up and went to check in on all the amino’s my on but I was told that my check in history was lost and I have to pay 600 points to fix it or get amino+. This in my opinion is ridiculous! Why do I have to pay for some other should be working at all times and not to say why do you need people to get a membership just to fix it too! I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks this is a ridiculous idea from the app developers.

Really good!!. Amino is designed for artists to meet other artists and share their latest work and improve by talking to others about their work and I think it does exactly that! It’s awesome even though you can do a lot more on it if you have VIP witch of course costs money but really if your just starting out with amino and you don’t really care about it then I think it’s fine. Overall it’s a great source to get to know other artists that are at your same level of different and eveyone is pretty much really nice so keep the great work up, Amino!!!!💗

Get rid the dating app live feature from amino. pls do something minors with no choices to see photos pfp of the Kiki live app people aren’t gonna listening but it was a already bad idea it when it updated without knowing originally I don’t care who job it is delete it now you should know better no one needs to sign anything I have proof and photos of what 12 year olds could see minors they don’t need to see that stuff on a role playing and what not community it not even in an private type setting so get rid of it ik you can see this so it better be done it goes against your own Gidelines I don’t know much of what going on but Ik enough update to what I was talking add on people on their have photos or pfp not listening and kids can still see them no way of unseen the photo of the people not listening so pls do something there’s age restrictions for reasons but it goes out the window when you add a feature where it shows on top with not knowing how to report it . It’s shows on trending live it’s not a good idea because kids could see it sorry if I seem rude but it’s the truth or at least find. a solution to it so everyone’s happy like have a setting where to not see any photos or to do with live stream or take down live trending parts of it because it just keeps showing

Ehh kinda disappointed. There tends to be some glitches in the app with the chat rooms and the chats not loading. Apart from that and the constant bugs that app has. Large communities are not allowed to go private which makes them a lot easier to target for things like doxxing, attacks and trolls wanting to harm communities when these communities are very positive and are almost like a family to me. I have actually seen so many reports of doxxing threats and trolling especially. I don’t understand how is is so hard for you to keep the users and members of your app safe from harm. Loads of people downloaded YOUR app for the sake of a good time and to learn more about their interests but not to have their privacy invaded. Do you guys seriously not care about the privacy of the users of YOUR app?It is such as shame that this happens i and regretting my decision downloading the app in the first place but I have made many friends on it so that has been keeping me on the app. I will most likely be finding a new app where I can keep in contact with these communities and deleting amino. I wish I could give it a higher rating but I just can’t due to this major problem.

CONCERNED ⚠️. Okay starting off sometimes when I enter chats it shows the message version outdated and shows old profiles or people for one second and it sometimes happens a couple of times in a row it’s so annoying! Especially because my amino is updated regularly. Please fix this and another thing please please add mass unfollow button since I have people I’ve followed from ages ago that I don’t want to go through the whole process or deleting everyone since I’ve got like over 4000 following! So it would be awesome!! But other then that amino is great

extremely upset. as an avid user of amino for the past six or so years, there’s been many times when i’ve been frustrated with the updates but never enough to write a review. mostly because it turned into a joke, a “it’s just amino playing up again” type joke. but honestly, it’s getting ridiculous. the newest updates are making it impossible for me to even want to be on amino anymore. the constant ads are annoying, especially since it seems like a luring tactic into getting people to buy amino+, but i pay for amino+ and STILL don’t have a choice in whether or not i get ads. as well as the new live feature being borderline inappropriate; adult or not, not everyone wants to see the pictures that are featured. the live feature never needed to be implemented in the first place.

So much customisation!!. Amino is designed for to be in community’s of people that share your interest so immediately it’s good on that regard, you can join a bunch of different community’s and have different profiles on each one and I know this sounds confusing but it’s very easy to get into. There’s a ranking system for when you spend time on the amino that can be customised by amino owners which really add a sense of meaning and keeps me coming back (not main reason tho) The best part about it is that everything you can do can be extremely customised, you want to write a blog?? you get to change the background, the font and format of the text, photos with an editor and other stuff and amino supports gifs, you thought that was cool?, your profile on a selected amino has so much you can customised like around twice the amount of s blog post. The aminos can feature your post for everyone and there’s a bunch of other features, all of the features are just extras and don’t get In your face about adding them. This is definitely for someone who wants to interact more with a fandom/fan base as easily as possible while having max depth while doing so :) 5 stars

Great, but a rather annoying downside... I honestly love Amino, it’s a great app for those who have lots of fandoms, it connects you with likeminded people, and you can post all sorts of things. But, one downside is that mostly everything depends on Amino+, the vip of the Amino franchise. It’s very annoying when you go to buy something from the store, but in order to purchase it, you need the addition of Amino+. For me, and probably many others, it annoys the heck out of you. Other than that, Amino is a wonderful place to connect with other people who like the same things as you. I highly recommend downloading it, because who knows, you could meet your future best friend on there.

Janky As Hell. They have bug fixes every week but this app still somehow manages to run like a completely wrecked CD player. This app lags the moment you open it, try to tap anything and it’s a 4 second wait, try to type and you feel like you’re glitching out of time, when you press send you get shifted back to the 80’s. Everything glitches, it had shut down my phone multiple times if i spend too much time on the app, takes away my battery life like death is weak and it crashes and burn after 10 minutes of me trying to switch between chats. I really love the profile customisations though, very flexible and allows people to make really pretty profiles.

I LOVE IT!1!?1!1!1!1. This app is so amazing, I use it at least 2+ hours everyday, I love the number of different fandoms you can join and the people you meet in them, it's a really lively app for making friends and connecting to those who are similar to you, I'm in a writing village amino and I get so inspired to write, a lot of the image prompts help me a lot as well. I 100% recommend this app to anyone looking to make new friends/meet new people, share common interests and get inspired! The possibilities are literally endless! :-)

down AGAIN?. everybody is cool with server maintenance, if you need time to fix ur app let ppl know the time it’ll be down and fix it. Instead it seems some kind of opposite is happening? once again the app has been down for ages, no notifications buggy ui. No word from developers, this app holds a special place and i hate hating it. Please be more open and proactive, talk to us about the issues. And actually fix them! I don’t understand how within about three months you’ve had two weeks long lasting issues where your social media platform doesn’t even send notifications. Where you can’t even access chats because of server issues. I hate watching this app die, please fix the issues.

Banned with ZERO explanation. This is my third time reporting this but with no avail. My account suddenly got banned. This was very unexpected because no explanation was associated with it. I feel very distraught about the whole ordeal as I fully believe I did nothing wrong whatsoever and had followed the appropriate guidelines. I formed many connections through this app and made good experiences. This sudden ban makes me reflect on this thought. I feel like this is not just my issue, I found others who say they had done nothing wrong only to be revoked off their privilege to have a say. Please, if the Amino team find themselves in need to manually ban someone, atleast provide some sort of valid explanation. Initially I was going to rate 1 star, but bc I feel like this app had good intentions I gave it another. However, it needs to be pressed that this problem should be addressed immediately. Please.

Maybe it’s just me.... The app is cluttered. It’s not as straightforward as it could be about how it works. And where do I go to search for other users? Haven’t found a search bar for such purposes. I understand that you can search for members when you’re in a group but I would really like to find a certain youtuber and I can’t. It would be nice if I could view my profile without checking into one of the communities. Your app is like an explosion. There’re a lot of things going on. I say this in the nicest way: Improve your app. I can see the potential, but it feels like it’s missing the basics of a social media app.

Almost perfect. It’s great in every way. You can find people who get you and like what you do. You can role play if that’s your thing. You can do so many things that it’s pretty overwhelming. I mean that can be a good or bad thing, but it doesn’t bother me too much. There is something that annoys me though, and that’s that Amino constantly asks for you to choose 3 topics that you like, and there’s no way around it. You can choose to skip and ignore it, but eventually, there’s a screen you CANNOT get past UNLESS you choose three topics which basically means you cannot do ANYTHING until you do no matter what. It was a good app until I got to that screen and was stuck unable to do anything. I COULD just pick three things and be done with it, but it should be a CHOICE to do so or not. I don’t think I should be forced to in order to join.

will not load.. hi to whom it may concern, amino is a great app. it make people feel like they belong to a community or many ! i personally love the people and roleplaying. 7 days ago, amino hasnt been loading properly. once i tap onto the app, amino shows me the loading icon. the notification icon would either have a red dot, or not. my list of communities wont load and such. — i try to turn off my wifi before i open the app. — go into the app, then turn off wifi. — keep trying to load it after plenty of times. the only way i can get on is by trying 15+ times or, using someone elses data to get on. i dont know if this is a wifi problem. but my wifi works fine with other apps. please fix this! i really like this app. ALSO, there are plenty of scammers and trolls there too.

Pretty dang good.. It’s actually quite a great app! I’ve been using for a little over a month now and I’ve had lots of fun with it! I love using it to interact with some of my favourite fandoms and communities, chatting with them, sharing posts, voting on polls, playing quizzes and posting content on there for people to see! It’s a great app for people to hang out with people who share the same interests, even when not meeting face to face. The only problem I have with it... is that it can be a little dangerous if you don’t know how to protect yourself with online social media. But, that’s what all social media’s have, really. I love it!

are the bugs truely fixed?. i seriously just came on to the app store to see if my amino needed updating but nope it’s still just covered in bugs. when i open the app it stops my music, it takes 5 thousand years to send a message, the underage original characters like that’s so uncomfortable it’s somewhat paedophilic and oh the roleplay is just so illiterate that i feel like i’m in 1st grade. and one more thing we all miss the views so please bring it back. also the bots are making several mistakes. you don’t post for months and your still getting a notification for inappropriate posting. oh and the people are great well 5% of them. the rest are just toxic. this app needs to go to the doctor because it’s broken in several place more than what the app is willing to fix. this app isn’t like what it was five years ago. if this doesn’t get fixed soon i’m out. i seriously hate that i’m the one doing this but it needs to be addressed. amino use to be my safe place five years ago. i felt loved and wanted but now it’s just meh. i had a group of people bullying me and attacking me. everything drama played a full circle. the app should become a tv series because dang there’s so much drama on there you could be hooked. anyway all i’m saying is please fix the bugs. thanks.

👍🏻. Amino is such a good app! There are so many different subjects and fandoms to choose from and you can choose as many as you want. Joining aminos is easy all you have to do is press join! You can share your opinion, vote on polls, and add art work, opinions and polls! I’ve only had Amino for about a week and am seriously addicted to it! Not only can you do all that stuff but you can talk to people and level up by checking in every day (or the days you go on) I have recommended this app to many friends of mine and they have all loved it! It’s such a good app

Good...until the glitches. Amino has a great concept which works out well if you find the right communities, as some communities are just magnets for art thieves, creeps and bots. It's probably my most used app, as I've met many great people and have been able to find others with the same interests as me. Profile personalisation is great though more formatting options (being able to bold a single word rather than a whole line) would be much appreciated. But starting this week or last week, Amino Apps has been extremely glitchy. It takes forever to open the app. It crashes and closes, and when it does open successfully, loading anything is at a snail's pace. I've tried restarting my device and reinstalling Amino, but it doesn't seem to help. I'm on the latest version of Amino Apps and device software update. This bug is making it near impossible to use Amino. How can this be fixed?

It’s Totally AM-AZ-ING!!!. Omg, I love it so much since you can go on any people’s post and like and comment their posts and join their amazing group!! You can also do quizzes to test out your knowledge or to see if your a fan about clearly ANYTHING!! I definitely recommend this to everyone! It’s basically bring all the fun in one app! Plus it’s super easy to use and...WAIT FOR IT....YOU CAN CREATE YOUR OWN AMINO(Page) and have the bio and all that stuff! If you think the quizzes might be easy go on HELL MODE, it will make the quiz more tough!! I once again will recommend this for Everyone and it’s suitable for young kids and adults so basically everyone! ~RZ

Good app, but having trouble lately. This app is pretty good, with loads of features, and I love using it to share my art and stories Lately though the app has been randomly shutting down after joining certain community’s, the specific communities change all the time. But it’s really annoying, as I can’t do anything in the specific community for a while. I’ve tried rebooting my iPad, delegating the app and reinstalling it and more, but nothing works, I’m not sure if it’s an issue on mine or your end, but I really would at least like an explanation

The only app I use for blogging. I've been using Amino since the start of 2018 and have loved it since the first time I used it. Amino is full of communites and you're sure to meet amazing people that share your passions. It's become a lot quieter the past year, but still has thriving communites. I love writing blogs on this app and the layout is simple to use and looks great. This is the only app I use for blogging and I am proud of what I've written as part of the Metal Amino particularly (that's my favourite community).

Really good! But small improvements would help ~. As an artist, amino has been and awesome platform for being able to quickly gain an audience through the feature board. I enjoy the variety of activities such as voicechats, quizzes, poles etc. However, I believe there should be small features added to make the app and chat rooms easier to navigate. Despite there are a few things I could critique, there is one feature I’d LOVE to be added. I believe there should really be a ‘jump to date’ feature in chat rooms. Having to scroll up for what can be HOURS just to find a message or anything of the sort in a chat room or group chat is honestly very frustrating. I feel as if there should be a feature where one would be able to select a date then be automatically jumped to that dates messages. This would be really helpful and a great addition in my opinion! Apart from this, I throughly enjoy the app and I hope the effort that Team Amino is putting in to improve the app will hopefully consider my suggestion. But overall, a 9/10 app. Definitely worth a download ~

It’s fine.. The app itself seems okay and a great place to meet new people and share your interests, but I suggest to get rid of the “seemingly” useless features, such as the; Avatars, ongoing voice chats at the top of the home page/featured page, the “x” icon in the chats, and anything else amino users never really use. I don’t find them that convenient, like, at all, but overall this is a great app. I liked the older version better, it’s just some of most of the new updates in the app have only gotten more annoying or useless than convenient and useful.

Amino is fantastic.. Amino is such a great app! The fact that you can post something in an Amino and everyone can see it without following you or finding your account is just phenomenal! The app could be a tiny bit bit better to navigate through but that’s really my only gripe, the community in the Aminos are just so nice and the art and memes that people post are funny and great too. I personally use this app for the game For Honor, and its great because everyone in the Amino has the same interests as you, and it’s really easy to start a conversation with people. The developers of the game also posts patch notes and reveals on the Amino and that is just a really smart way of advertising these things as well. I really recommend this app, and it’s free so why not?

Honest Review From Longtime User. The app has had some fantastic features over the years. These include the ability to save drafts, make blogs and wiki entries. Heck, even your own communities. However, the app is run by a corrupt team who double cross their users. *cough* Tristan *cough* Additionally, it is now a cash grab for money. Note the excessive amount of ads now forcibly added in vlogs and communities. Avatars, frames and coins are also examples of annoying cash grabs. If you are considering downloading this for the first time, I would suggest Discord or Reddit as better places for content. It can be a lot more personal and fun, without all the stupid cash-grabs and corrupt team behind this app. Don’t let YouTubers fool you, they’ll promote the app and leave just as quickly. I can name many that have.

Very good app to communicate to others!. Amino is an great app to be able to communicate with others, though I may seem like Facebook or instagram it is kinda a mixture of he two . It isn’t well known like Facebook or instagram though it has features that are more interesting. I thoroughly enjoy all the features displayed on Amino though I wish there was a way to get more coins worth out having to pay money as the daily “hidden cards” which reveal how much coins you get on that certain day are on a low amount and it takes for ever to get up to the amount of money your want. Besides that amino is great and I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested inside social media and wants to try something new but now so popular!

TITLES. i personally think that the colouring changing option for the titles is an amazing addition to a profile, but i think instead of only the leaders being able to change it, everyone should be able to customise the colour of their title/s. this will make leaders’ jobs much easier since there’s a high demand for colour titles in every community, specifically larger communities. anyways, that’s just an opinion i think you should try to incorporate into the app. otherwise amino is looking better than ever ! keep up the good work <3

I love this app but it needs to be updated. I’ve been ushering this app for three years now but now 2020 there’s a problem I own a chat room but for some reason my app crashes when I try to ban someone that is causing problems to my chat room team amino please fix this other than that I love this app: Update you had fixed it but your recent bug fix made it come back FIX this please

Amino app is great, however.... I love amino app so much! It’s just a great place to talk about and read about your favourite things such as, BTS etc. I’ve even made a couple of great friends on this app and for that I am grateful. But amino app kind of feels like it’s lacking compared to most social media. Things I would like to see change are, chat colours. I think it’d be a better experience for everyone if the app was more customisable such as changing the chat colours. Also speaking of chat rooms, I think there should be an option were you can change the privacy of a chat instead of just making a new one. For example, if I made a public chat then wanted to change it to a private chat so no one else could join that chat, it would be great.

I love it. The app is amazing and I love it. When I got it, it was awesome. I never seen a app like this. You get to join community’s and people chat to talk about the fandom or just talk to each other. There are groups that you can make, you can chose from soooo many community’s and there everything that you need to find it. You can go to the shop and buy cool stickers to send to your friends and Speech bubbles for when you text people. Overall, that is all I have to say about this app, this app is no like other app that I have seen before or used. I Recommend this app to chat to people or a firends hang out about other Favourite fandoms. Ps. When you go to other people profiles, there will be Wikipedia’s for different things that people write about. You should read though them. They will help you understand more of the community’s fandom.

Amount of Pictures.. Honestly Amino is a great app and all but there is this one thing that has been bothering me, that is when selecting pictures to put in your gallery for a wiki the maximum amount is 50 pictures. It may seem a lot to others but I’m currently making a wiki on teaching people how to draw with the basics and it involves me taking a lot of pictures and putting it up there. The problem is 50 of maximum pictures that can be put into a wiki wouldn’t fit all the examples that I have to draw. I can explain using words but I feel like people would appreciate it more if the pictures were there to do the explaining. Sure, I can just do one example and continue on but there will be some people who wouldn’t like that example or can’t figure out how to use that example so I have to draw more for the others that needs a different style of examples. I’d appreciate if you add in a feature where people can add more than 50 photos in one wiki on Amino.

this app is great, however. this app is really good for making friends and getting exposure to ur art (if u do that) and being involved more with your fandoms or communities HOWEVER there are some flaws, like the image quality is HORRIBLE and it has a watermark that cuts a bit off from the picture if u save one, and the chats are a tad glitchy but not enough that it's hard to handle.. also making a new amino is way too strict, like having to be on for more than 4 days, have another member be on that amino for 10 mins a day that they can't even access to is way too annoying and there's probably a lot more flaws with making an amino but that's what i've gotten so far, still, i love this app and the people on it are nice (mostly)

a few problems. I honestly don’t think the app should be 12+ maybe at least 16-17+ the reason I say this because there can be NSFW things as much as the leader try their best to make sure there isn’t. By NSFW, I mean Nudity and gore or anything else you wouldn’t look at in public. There’s also an unfortunate amount of predators on the app, I’ve had too many of those speak to me and to the point I wanted to delete it, but I couldn’t because I didn’t want to leave the friends I made on the app. Sure, I’ve had plenty of people be nasty to me, and well anyone they choose to attack. But there are also some goods in the app. I’ve made some incredible friends on the app, and I wouldn’t trade them for the world. It’s a good place to improve your skills no matter if you’re an artist or a writer- anything, it’s helpful in that way. But really. The age you have to be to own this app is 12+ ?

E h. Honestly Amino is getting countless useless features and is basically using up space for useless features like the Avatar feature. It isn’t even that good and people, in my case, never use it. Plus when you press read all the don’t gets too big and is just so very annoying to look at. The image quality is terrible, the GIF search pretty much has nothing, the whole amino plus thing is just so very annoying and you can’t even get coins when you download the apps required for it as it simply disappears from the suggested list. The new read all page is truly what annoys me as when I roleplay, I kind of need to know how much to send to match the other roleplayers. But I can’t anymore because the space for text got smaller, and the read all makes it so very difficult to adjust to. Other than all this, there are so many communities (like the frozone community) that should be taken down. Honestly it’s just horrible. Plus it burns your battery. On the brighter side, amino has nice people and you can definitely make really great friends with them. You get to improve your creativity and ability to write via literate roleplaying. The little mood stickers are very cute plus on some really nice aesthetics can be made.

One of the best apps I’ve ever used. This app is amazing for anyone. If you like a video game to a makeup line you and fellow people who have an interest in that topic can post polls questions quizzes blogs and more. I would really love to see a computer extension for chrome and Firefox. Just a note that it can be annoying if you log in and you get 600 notifications from group chat if people are talking on there, so turn off post notifications if you don’t like that stuff. Other than that this is app is awesome and if you download it I promise you it will change your LIFE. Thx developers

There’s ALWAYS some sort of glitch. I love amino, I really do, which is why it’s still getting four stars, but for the love of everything you hold dear to your heart fix all these glitches. One day it’s chat notifications, the next you’re not even ABLE to open chats and all amino says is “looks like something went wrong on our end. Thanks for your patience while we fix the issue”.

They allow NSFW content!. Please do not let you child download this application! The new update allows lives that shows sexual content to minors! the new live feature... amino is a pretty good app! i love talking to people and sharing interests, however- the new update with the live feature is really really weird.. this app is a 13+ app, and kids lie about there age all the time, do you know how many minors are on this app? now regarding the live feature. a lot of them have, well... inappropriate things on them. like women in.. suggestive poses. it's disgusting, i dont want to see that right when i open the app, NOR ever. please get rid of this new feature, nobody likes it, (based off recent reviews). fix it.

nsfw live feature. ever since they implemented the live feature, it feels like the death of the app is here on our doorstep. it’s a feature none of the users want and it’s pretty predatory to have those thumbnails on an app meant for people as young as 13. they also removed the option to hide ads with the paid subscription so there’s no good reason to purchase it anymore. a company whose greed has gotten ahead of them. unfortunate. i liked this app for a long time but my time is up here. they don’t care.

the new updates are awful. this app is targeted towards 12+, however the new live feature is consistently showing 18+ content and that’s not something i would deem as safe for the targeted audience of “12+”. also all of the pop up ads now with no way to turn them off anymore is absolutely horrendous. there should be an option to turn the ads off still and the live feature should either be taken away or more closely monitored because it is not safe for the vast majority of people on this app.

Ads. When amino plus and coins were introduced, we had an option to “opt out” of ads for bonus coins. Now these ads are obligatory and exponentially more frequent. People are leaving your app. It used to be a fun and safe place. Now it’s a money grab

Live-streaming is a mistake!. You’re basically exposing minors to sexual content. If you’re going to release sexual content on amino, it’s best to change the rating to 18+ otherwise, you’re creating a regime of porn and who knows what else, which is accessible for minors to get into. The updates keep getting worse.

It's really good but.... I really love this app and it's amazing, but it doesn't seem like it works properly on my ipad? it's stuck on the iphone layout so the entire screen is sideways. I thought that I'd be able to use it on my ipad and make typing easier with my keyboard, but now I can't actually do that.

Slow, lags and becoming 18+ only. 1st it’s slow and laggy, it’s always been like this for me and I’ve put up with it for as long as I’ve had the app. 2nd the live-streaming feature promotes the same stuff as OF did. The intent was good but it gradually became more and more 18+ with people live-streaming pornographic images and the like. This was supposed to be a fandom app where people could engage in their respective fandoms with others appropriately without yknow groomers and pedophiles being given the time of day but this new live-stream feature enables it..

Miss Old Amino with No Ads. Honestly I didn’t care for a lot of the added stuff, it was pretty cool, but the thing I’m really disappointed in. Is the fact you guys removed the options to remove ads. I can’t make or even read post without an ad between each paragraph. Also the fact there’s ad right above where we text. My screen already small so you literally made it impossible for me to read text.

It’s a great app, but…. I hate to be rude, but the messaging system is broken. I don’t know how to explain it? It just makes it seem like you have new messages but once you refresh the page, it comes back again after I check it more than twice. That app needs to be fixed ASAP.

What the hell.. Leaving a review here too, because amino has been getting QUITE ridiculous. After almost 5 years my account may have been deleted by amino themselves, probably because they leave bots to do their work. There has been a disgusting amount of ads even for people who turn them off with no amino coin reward. There has been countless bugs involving followers and people’s accounts getting messed up. And on top of this already lazy feeling management, they continuously let bots and trolls raid aminos, hack, send nsfw and gore nonstop to people including minors in the community and sometimes completely ruin the experience for some people, to the point where the app is rendered unusable and therefore useless in the face of other social medias.

Live Feature. I have been an avid fan of amino for years and I love the community, practically addicted!! But with MediaLabs taking over amino, the live option is NOT friendly for the underaged community that is welcomed on the app. While MediaLabs is responsible for KiK, KEEP THAT AWAY FROM AMINO.

bruh. the app literally turns my phone into a fire hazard 💀 i’ll be honest it used to be good, but holy is it bad now- server constantly goes down, recently for a whole week, ads that lag out and freeze the app, a horde of bots, and owners who probably don’t care. you get an extra star just for the place old amino holds in my heart.

Decent app, crashes too much. Amino is a great app for exploring communities and talking to people, but ever since I updated, it’s been crashing a whole lot. Going to featured posts, crashes, going to random latest posts, crashes, hell even sometimes trying to enter a community it crashes. It’s not like I’m on a weak device like the iPhone 4 or iPad 2, I’m on an iPhone SE which should be good enough, but It keeps crashing.

Please listen Amino. Okay, it’s a great app for chatting and finding people of the same interests. However, the Vc thing still needs to be worked on, I don’t want to be forced to listen to a Vc when I join. Even if I mute it people see your there and will try to talk to you. Live-streaming is a bad outcome. Due to Kik’s history of adultery and sexual content through the years of live-streaming and the app in general. I wouldn’t approve an update/collab something similar to this. I hope you understand that there are minors in within the app. The age rate is 13-17 of age. You need to understand the explicit and graphic content you are about to allow with this. There is no such thing as “live role play” or “Expressing talents on live” It’s going to be corrupted eventually. You need to understand the consequences.

The live stream feature is a horrible idea. As a person who is familiar with live streams, incorporating live streams in an app that is targeted towards minors is a dangerous decision to make. One major app that has a live streaming feature is Kik, and everyone knows that app is infamous for predators, drug dealers, and pornography being a massive plague there. If I’m not mistaken, your company, who’s product is an app that targeted towards children has partnered with Kik. And if that’s true, that is incredibly concerned that you’re willing to overlook all the issues surrounding Kik that you’re willing to start a partnership with them. But I guess I should not be surprised by your company’s practices considering 2 years ago, on this very app, I’ve encountered a situation where an adult has asked me very questionable things in pms when I was a minor. In addition, I’ve heard experiences coming from ex-amino users who claim to have been groomed multiple times from other users on this app. Now if your app already has a problem with predators and bots messaging minors in PMs, I can’t even imagine how horrifically worse this issue would be now that live streaming and a partnership with a sketchy company are now in the picture. IF YOU TRULY CARED ABOUT PROTECTING THE CHILDREN ON YOUR APP, YOU WOULD’VE NEVER EVEN CONSIDERED LIVE STREAMING AS A FEATURE ON A KID’S APP!

cant stand the ads. i’ve been using amino since 2017, ads used to never be an issue and even when the option to have ads when Amino+ was implemented they still used to be fine to have. but now that the ads aren’t optional (and don’t even give you any profit like how it used to be) and are EVERYWHERE (some of which are NOT child friendly, i’ve seen ads for dating sites and p*rn) the app has lost its charm. i cant stand the ads, not to mention for some reason running this app on my phone is like running Genshin Impact on a windows 7. my phone used to never overheat and lag as bad as it does now when running Amino, not to mention the battery drainage. in all honesty, getting a few ads when opening up a community and seeing them in the feeds when scrolling is manageable, but the fact that they’re now in chats just above the message box where it’s easy to misclick, having there be more than TWENTY in a wiki or blog and the fact that they’re not appropriate and clearly not moderated is infuriating. i used to love being on this app, now i can’t stand it and am genuinely considering leaving.

Ads?. I have used Amino for quite a while, and have come to love the communities and content it helps to boost through platform. However, I consider it greedy and extremely unthoughtful of their users with the newer update which has allowed ads to pop up in chats and wikis. It takes away a lot of the aesthetic and artsy type of content that is being created every single day on the platform, and in my opinion makes it very unfavorable to me as a social media app. The fact the Amino team has included this update seemingly ‘behind the backs’ of its users by not including it anywhere in the update notes only furthers my disappointment in the app. I understand the team needs to make money, which they do by often asking users to switch to their paid premium option, but including intrusive ads in wikis and especially in private chats is not an idea being made with its users in mind— with exception of their money. In addition, the paid premium option does not get rid of the ads either. I doubt my love for this app will return to its former stance until the team does something to improve the appearance of the ads in their app to a more reasonable, user friendly placement or get rid of them altogether.

Bugs and glitches. I love amino as a whole and have absolutely nothing wrong with the wonderful amino team but sadly I can’t give more than two stars currently, the reason for this is that amino is like a mentally unstable relative, sometimes their fine but most of the time their broke and asking for money (I jest) but it’s a continuous cycle of fixed and then less than a week later and it lasts like this for a few days to even a week or two, the main bugs I’m talking about are the 504 gateway error and the error that makes it to where your notifications don’t send, I feel so horrible about writing this review but I have to say something about it because from my perspective it feels like nothing it being done to work towards a final solution, and again I can’t stress this enough I DO NOT have any problems with the amino team, their wonderful and do so much for the community! And even the coders who are fixing these bugs constantly, their probably overwhelmed with all of the bug fixes and general patches for the community, I’ll more than happily change my review once glitches and bugs lover and stop happening so much, but until then I can sadly only leave two stars.

Amino. This app is absolutely disgusting. I was on it from 2016 to late 2019. I was 14 when I downloaded that app and I’m just now realizing how disgusting it is. It’s a breeding ground for horrible pedos. Before I left the app they made it so you got a warning for sending inappropriate photos, but it was too late at that point, I had already been scarred for life. I had real problems going on in life and I went here because I thought people who had the same interests as me could get me outside the real world for a bit, but I was horribly wrong. Don’t get me wrong, there are good people on the app, but it’s disgusting how people in there mid to late 20s was being sexual to a minor. And it’s not like it happened once, it happened multiple times, too many to count. So if your a parent thinking maybe this is a good app for your child, do not let them unless they have adult supervision. And if your a child wanting to chat with people who have similar interest, please be weary, because I was like you and these people took advantage of me being a minor with a naïve mind. I didn’t think the things I did on this app would affect me, but it has in my adult life, with lots of psychological problems. Great concept for an app but there are too many disgusting pedophiles on here.

Good app but..... I’m a long time user on this app and there are a few flaws that I have come about for the past 2 years. One of the issues I mainly encounter are false flaggers, before flagging was an issue trolls would use this app but that problem is no longer around. The false flaggers are making many users and myself lose motivation. Second issue are the leaders and curators, many of them don’t help out with the issues we have, Yea they’re very busy people, but I just wish they did more to help us out. Third, the featured page, many of the users that work hard to become featured are never given the chance because of the “7 day period” which is not stated. Those who are featured are always the same people, curators claim that after 7 days after asking, a blog cannot be featured. Before when a great blog that was long past 7 days used to be featured a lot and I really think that should also be brought back. I ranted, emailed, and tried to get in contact with those in charge but no answers like they used to, many of us believe the amino app is just corrupted. As an honest user I still enjoy the app, I just wish for some changes and to be heard for once

Pretty great! But.... I was introduced to this app by one of my friends and have had for 4-5 years now and it is amazing! I mostly join art communities and already my art style has changed and improved greatly! There are tons of awesome people, and of course the are some bad ones, but that happens in all social media apps. I would definitely suggest this app for anyone looking to improve in their hobby’s and learn new things! However, I do have a few nitpicks. This app eats up battery life extremely fast. Once I went from 77% to 69% in a minute or less. That is something I suggest the developers focus on more than anything, because I want to use the app more, but I can’t if it’s constantly draining my battery. Second, it is really hard on my phone sometimes. I don’t know if this can be fixed because I know the app is running multiple media feeds at the same time, but my phone has shut the app completely 2-3 times because it was having a hard time. It might be possible to lessen that effect, but I’m not an app developer, so I don’t know for sure. Over all, this is a great app, it just has some technical things that could be fixed.

Good app but.... I have been using Amino for a while now and I have noticed that whenever I use voice chats it freezes my phone so i can't do anything on it then it just freezes the app so i'm still in the call. The Amino voice chats freeze everytime I do a call, for example: I was using it and having a fun talk with new people and one of them offered to sing for us (I let them) so everyone went on mute but me because it froze and they said "Aren't you going to go on mute?" so I explained why I couldn't so I just stayed quiet the whole time. Also another problem I myself have, updates, sure I get app updates but I've noticed that this app is on there almost everyday or so for me to update it. It tends to get annoying being as I work for long hours of the day and get barely any sleep so you would figure that I would get annoyed. Most of the updates are about bug fixes which I think personally should not be there as much (that basically says there's a lot of bugs). I feel like this is a problem for me and some others. Please fix this problem.

It depends. Amino itself is a great app and all, before it rebranded, I mean it's not half bad now and I personally think it's better than most apps but be prepared for the kind of people on the app. Honestly most of them are eight year-olds with cringey OCs. This isn't always a problem but it can be. Amino has a lot of great people on it but with just any anonymous social apps, their are bad apples. I don't know why but I feel like Amino has more than other Social Platforms. I've had at least three experiences with creeps or mentally abusive people I've met on there. I used to use it for commissions for my art, and I still do. If you are considering getting the app, I suggest only one community, because a lot of times you can get too invested. Just like any app with lots of strangers, please do be careful. If you are under the age of thirt-teen, don't install the app, I can't stop you but it's against the rules of Amimo. As I said before, kids love to lie about their age on the internet, if you are a parent please monitor your child's use of the app, I don't want them getting hurt, or a stranger knowing their address. Take care! Be cautious, people can be toxic!

Dangerous and Outdated. This app has really fallen. The LIVE feature may have been shut down, but it has caused many users to leave the app and has caused irreparable damage. Bugs are absolutely rampant and nothing is ever done to fix them. Everything is broken. The constant ads are disgusting and predatory. I have grown out of my fandom phase so I use this app only to check in and to moderate my community for a couple minutes each day. Although they can’t be bothered to fix bugs, Team Amino is active enough to TAKE AWAY my agent status because I am not as active anymore (for the reason above as well as the fandom for my community being on the decline for years and lots of member drama after I became a leader). Team Amino will ignore bugs, bots, predators, hackers, etc., but will easily take away Agent status. My community has been hacked in the past, and it took us until we reached TA’s LEGAL email for something to be done! It’s very dangerous that Agent status can be taken away and given to any random member. Only Agents should be able to transfer status unless a community has no Agent at all. Hackers and bots are everywhere. Do not bother with this app. It’s better off being shut down. Too much damage has been caused by the rampant bots and hackers over the past few years.

To many bugs, to strict guidelines.. Well for starters the app has MANY many many bugs. When trying to post a story, if you’ve posted one recently it will show that story and recommend it and even if you pick another video it will force the most recent video to be posted unless you close and reopen the app. Live chat is unusable and I haven’t tried video chat but seeing how laggy live chat is I don’t want to see how broken that would be. Second. The app is 12+ meaning people over 18 will and can use the app. But i have seen so many people get strikes and bans and their communities taken down because of the strict guidelines even when it was legal and no minors were involved in things AND in private communities. I think there needs to be a feature where you confirm your age and then you can creat and join communities marked 18+ With the issues on this app it just feels like Discord for kids. This app could really be something usable and great but with the childish and sensitive guidelines and all the bugs, it just looks like a lazily put together app that’s more worried about censoring things that don’t need to be censored than their app working basic functions correctly

It's good but there's an issue. So I've been using this app for a little while and it's safe to say it's fun to use. I've made so many good connections on here and made lots of friends and people I can talk and laugh with. It's definitely a great place to meet people and engage in all of your interests, write, post, draw, etc. I've never really had any problems with the app at all up until this point. Don't know what it is, and normally this only lasts for a few days but this really has me and others bugged. Surprisingly I was able to ask someone if this was bothering them too and it is. The connection and internet on the app is horrible. It's only this app. I don't have problems on anything else. It's super hard to post, enter a community, send or open a message, or do anything for that matter. This has lasted for days and it's hard for me and others to use the app because of how bad it's gotten. I hope this issue gets fixed soon xx

Absolutely the best.. I absolutely love Amino to death, I’ve been using it for a good 2-3 years now. And I love it so much. But, the visitor feature thing has got me upset. You guys added the visitor feature but now with the new update you take it away, why? I want to know. I know hundreds of users who want the visitor feature back including me. Give it back please. We love this feature and we want it back. We liked the addition of it and we want to know why it was taken away. Amino is such a great app that I love so much, and the visitor feature is quite helpful to those wondering who may be stalking their profile, and I want to also ask to remove the anonymous visitor feature, a lot of users dislike it because it’s weird and creepy. I like knowing who views my profile and when. It’s a useful thing to know if you’re trying to see if someone is watching your profile or stalking it. Great app to interact with people who are interested in the same things you are. I honestly really love this app, your able to literally find anything your interested in, in an amino. And it’s such a great way to connect with other people who have the same interests as you. A great way to make new friends! Once you’ve found an amino your interested in your able to join chats, post blogs or pictures, play quizzes, and watch videos all about that specific amino. Your able to joins as many aminos as like like within this app! You also build up your level in each amino your in. Plus you get to personalize your profile in each amino your and and your free to change it as many times as you like. I’ve had this app for about 6 months now and I’ve only had one major problem but everyone on had experience the same thing the app was going super slow and wasn’t letting you see your chat and stuff, but other than that one time the app has been just fine and you shouldn’t have any problems as long as your connected to WiFi or have data on your phone

This is A great app.. I’ve been using amino for years now and it’s honestly a great place. I am a literate to advanced role-player and this helps me connect with people who are the same style and can actually keep up with my type of role playing. They also share common interests and it’s easy to form stories and plots with them. I also love seeing the characters that many people take time to create. The only reason I don’t like the app at this point is because the amino plus option. There at one point was a way to get amino + with your coins but it seemed like they removed that option and I would like them to restore it. It’s much easier for someone with less money to get it and also experience their perks. Like I don’t have money i can spend on an app membership and the amino coins option really was something I enjoyed using. If they could restore that option I would be glad to give this app 5 stars but until then it will stay where I put it. I’m actually pleased with this app in General though. Except for the fonts on posts fact. I would like options in app to Make the fonts look better, even if they do cost amino coins or something.

Not Happy. The people in the app itself are not bad, and many are easy to talk to and are very nice and helpful. Many of the leaders are way too strict and define terms like "explicit" or "art theft" amongst many other things very strangely and strictly. It's hard to be able to do anything because every profile picture, post, poll etc... is reviewed by the leaders and are taken down for ridiculous stuff. Though what they do matches what their guidelines say, it's frustrating to be able to do anything since everything you do gets you in trouble. Amino should really look into what leaders are defining as "inappropriate" and judging whether or not they are being a bit much. Some aminos I've joined are very enjoyable, and you can talk fairly freely without being bombarded with flags, but others I never open because all the notifications are simply flags. I've never posted anything even remotely inappropriate, or ever stole art, or ever spoke inappropriately as much of the people in the app are below 18, but somehow it was defined that way. The app itself is very good, but this is a real problem considering it makes the experience horrible. When baggy pants are close to nudity, it's a bit much.

The next Social Media Trend???. Amino is a great platform that lets you connect in groups or private messages to other users to talk, poll, share art, gossip(?), and much more. There really aren’t any bugs that need to be addressed and if there are Amino works hard to fix them. There’s a system of groups that you can join and if you want to join a group, but there isn’t one for it, you can start one! After all, for every one of your interests, there’s at least a handful of people with that same interest! I think Amino is just as good as Instagram, Discord, Twitter, Snapchat, Facebook, etc for connecting with friends and making new ones! Like I said there aren’t really any bugs or problems with the platform. Since it’s a platform, you could also download it on different types of phones and maybe even access a website on computer! Alright, here's some advice. This app is great for making friends! I just wish you could add or remove perms for curators and leaders. For example, if they want a curator to have the power to give people titles, but not ban members, their is no option to do that. I'm currently a curator in a big amino where they use ✨ as a currency. You could get things like titles and etc. The owner of the amino probably doesn't want people to have as much power as leaders do, but still wants to give them the ability to give titles. Their is no good way to do that. Another thing I wish was their was a plus sign to create a post in all aminos, instead of posting them individually. For example, you log in amino. On the top next to coins, there is a plus sign, when you click on it, it shows all the different formats of posts. Than it shows the normal format in any amino (I'm going to use a blog for this example) On the bottom of the blog there is a check list of all the different aminos your in, and you could check the ones you want to post it in, instead of posting it individually. Please consider this!!!

A few things to say. I only rated 5 stars just so this is on the front page. I deleted the app INSTANTLY because.. 1) theres a login or sign up. “I thought this would be cool, but man..” 2) not as good as discord. I like discord but this. Ehhhhh. 3) don’t wanna hear it. This app I would play but if there’s not a lot of 5 star or 4 star ratings. It just.. idk about dis app. Please be on the front page. 4) things I wanna say. The only reason I found this app was because in one of GD junipers videos (his video: playing recent levels 4) before the level started, he told us about it. So what he (about) said was: it’s a fun app to chat with friends.” And guess what? That’s the ONLY reason I got to this app. 5) more login and sign up. DO YOU MIND IF YOU TAKE THE SIGN UP AND LOGIN AWAY? I have barely ANY friends online. And I’d be happy to make new friends but if there’s a login and sign up, then I just can’t get on cause it triggered my parents when I ask them to sign up or login on games. Trust me.. it’s hard. 6) nothing else I hope this is on the front page. My ratings for the app: 2/10

I love this app but.... This app is perfect. You can share art and make friends, Ive also made several online friends just because if this app. You also get to learn about their cultures and what they’re doing half the time. It’s a blast. You also get to create your own aminos and get your friends to join in whatever your interests are and show them by what aminos you join. This app also has you coming back everyday, due to its check in mechanic and you also earn coins everyday you check in. With the coins you could by stuff to make your profile picture look more outstanding. And even buy to enter in a fan club on certain aminos. Like in one amino, she has a fan club that’s 200 coins a month. And with the fan clubs you get access to more stuff like participating in contests. But Amino’s glitches are its main problem. It sometimes get slow and freezes and I always have to reload the entire app. Their may be glitches where it prevents you from texting your friends. Or the art just doesn’t load in time. I hope these problems get fixed in the future.

I love this app! But.... I love this app. I have been using it proudly since 2018. I have made some pretty good friends, shared a lot, and found plenty of inspiration. It’s a great app that can lets me connect with others who have the same interests as me. It’s a fantastic social media platform for anybody. And it’s great that it has many other communities besides ones for anime. It enables me to expand my interests from anime, to something greater like creepypasta or writing. But there are a few hiccups. First, my app has been pretty laggy lately. Doing the usual, texting, chatting, creating posts, the app will make everything slower for me. I won’t be able to scroll smoothly and even my keyboard will start to lag. I can barley exit a community without it lagging. I would try to close down the app, but then my Home Screen will start to lag too. And it has nothing to do with WIFI since my home has fantastic connection. And my phone has nothing to do with it either since I changed the model three times since 2018. The only other hiccup is that it overheats my phone. My phone will get really hot after using it for about 15 minutes. Not to mention it completely kills my battery. Other than those to things, I really love the app. I’m glad people are still using it and it isn’t dying down. There is always something new to do and something great to discover. I can’t wait to see what the future updates will bring.

Team Amino Needs Changing. Amino is a fun and interesting place for people of all walks of life to speak about Political Issues, Television, Video Games, Sports, and many more with people who feel the same way. I have been on Amino for years with little complaint and used to love going on if only to post a single picture or comment. However, recently Team Amino has become much different, putting out content that you need to purchase with real money in order to access and even taking down political Aminos they do not agree with. As a leader, this is very concerning to me and my colleagues, especially due to the fact that I have heard they do not listen to or accept criticism, deleting comments whenever it disagrees with them. Recently, Team Amino has put an Amino on probation for 48 hours, meaning new members cannot join or search for the Amino. The members on the Amino and leaders are unaware of what rule they’ve broken, as they were simply cited for “hate speech” and did not explain further. I hope that TA learns to take criticism and accept different points of view, but as of now, this App is a fun, yet sometimes infuriating one.

Still love the app. Ive been using this app for years now, since 2015 to be exact, and ill tell ya my love for amino never dwindles. I used to think all the new features were complicating things but honestly every time you guys add something new its exciting to get to learn how to use it! The only thing i can gripe on is the difficulty when it comes to actually trying to contact Team Amino, i know there’s a support email but it isn’t exactly featured prominently considering i had an easier time finding the legal team email meant for law enforcement uses. As a leader in an active community with growing membership i just feel as though it would be nice to be able to have some form of contact, especially since Leader Amino isn’t ran by the team anymore. Maybe a QA page, or a more accessible email/social media account run by a rep able to answer questions or give insight? (I know there’s a twitter but i looked at the page and found that it often refers users to an Email that i otherwise wouldn’t have found)

Thank you!. I’ve made many great friends and memories. I’ve been on here for 2 years(900 days) and soon to be 3 years or something. Some of the friends I’ve made are what helped with many of my irl problems, they helped with school projects and I even consider them to be my family at times. My best friend Anthony, who’s like a little brother to me. He’s helped me with break-ups, school problems, online problems and many more. I had friends I no longer talk to, I have one of them added on Xbox and I want to Thank them for everything they’ve done for me, they said that they are always gonna be here for me but with terrible situations I was in I left amino for a while, with many of my friends on different social medias. I lost them as friends. This app changed my life for the better, I still suffer with things like Depression but I’m overcoming my problems because of this Amino. Me losing that group of friends, it hurt me a lot. I have a “friend group” now but it’s not the same. I want more friends that will always be there for me. Anyway. Thank you!

I’m not happy as you can tell. I want to say that this app used to be a great app; however honestly that would be a lie. Maybe at one point it was big but it’s slowly gone down hill. There is little to no moderation on the app. Anyone can create communities and that’s both a blessing and a curse. Very rarely do I see communities violating their guidelines actually get removed. Aside from that they shove ads down your throat 24/7. The way it used to be, is that if you didn’t want to be bombarded with ads you could turn it off in the settings at the expense of not getting coins from them. However as it is now, every five minutes a 30 second video ad will pop up making the app extremely unenjoyable and over all nearly impossible to use. Not to mention that sometimes the ads will just freeze making your app crash. It’s utterly and totally garbage dumpster fire of an app now. The creators became sell outs who have made the app this way so that they can pull in more revenue and for what? The money they make certainly isn’t going into the app. As you can see with all the bugs that happen on a daily basis. Even if you report them you’re unlikely to be heard at all. So yes, that’s my review. Utterly terrible.

Decent.. The app itself is alright. Very buggy and laggy and it crashes sometimes, but what app is absolutely perfect? I enjoy connecting with different people and creating different Aminos with friends and such for roleplay experiences. However, the app set aside, it’s Team Amino that makes this app less enjoyable. They claim they are there to help and make the experience enjoyable, but they do the complete opposite. They are very vague and passive aggressive when asked, or questioned for help. To say the least, TA is VERY unhelpful and it’s extremely irritating when theft / plagiarism is being committed. Recently, I’ve gone to TA with a complaint about another community plagiarizing my Amino. It was a group of people that were banned because they were not following the rules. Multiple of my members {300+} complained and agreed that this was plagiarism. However, TA did nothing to solve this, even though it states clearly in THEIR guidelines that plagiarism is not allowed. I agree with the multiple complaints I’ve seen on here. Team Amino needs to shape up, or get a new team that will actually help the members. This should be a fun, enjoyable experience. We shouldn’t have to worry about our hard work being stolen.

Live Feature : Gateway to Predadors. This is an app meant for 13+ individuals. That means /children/. However, MediaLabs, the new owner of Amino, has decided that they want to move lives from Kik onto Amino, make them visible from inside the communities, and not give the leaders a chance to make it so that they can't be seen, like any other community feature. If you want to let minors be exposed to NSFW 18+ content, then at least make it harder for them to see it as soon as they open their communities. Don't claim that you're not obligated to do anything in your terms of service, don't be a lunatic who wants to put children in danger. It's despicable. We will not rest until the lives are gone or there's at least a way for our leaders to choose whether they want them to be seen in our communities or not. And trust me, they don't. Of we want to use Kik, we'll use Kik. Don't put people in danger because you want money. We provide you with the money, we use your app. Kik and Amino are different, keep them separate. Amino was already on its way to not being used at all, don't drive the final stake in the coffin. Get rid of the lives, or you get rid of us. Terrible Experiences.. I’ve had nothing but really bad experiences with this App. The support team does nothing but send back an automated email that’s basically telling you that no matter the situation, you’re at fault and you need to read the guidelines better. I’ve seen terrible Communities with disgusting topics. I’ve seen communities called “Sexual RP 13+” which is promoting children to sexually role play with people they don’t know and those haven’t been taken down. There are so many sexual/fetish communities out there and yet my Community that was a completely sfw community for people to make friends gets taken down. It’s annoying and I’m tired of working hard to make a community, only for it to get taken down for NO reason. I’ve read the guidelines 5 times, I know I am not breaking any rules. Our community had also 200 people in it and without any warning or notice, it got disabled. All of those people I will not be able to find or talk to again, all because Amino took down my community without a warning or an explanation. I know I may just seem like some angry person who has no idea what they’re talking about but I’m so annoying and tired of this. I’ve done all I can to follow guidelines and yet, This app doesn’t care.

Amazing but Ridiculous. I’ve been on this platform for almost 9 years and never had a single issue. It’s such an amazing app, but I will never understand why I have to watch ads when I pay money to enjoy the app. I shouldn’t have to watch ads when I pay for the app, it’s stupid. Honestly I’m thinking about either leaving the app completely or not paying for it. It’s not worth the money I put into it. I’ve always paid for premium as long as I’ve used this app and the support has always been amazing but with how frequent the ads are it’s starting to become annoying and I’m not enjoying the app enough to continue paying for it or even using it at all. This is a major issue and even if I have to pay a little more for no ads I’d be happy. I don’t see this being fixed anytime soon so it’s only a matter of time before I stop using it and telling my friends to stop using it. I can’t support developers willing to just force you to watch up to 30 second ads with no option to pay for them to not show.

Amino’s Glitches/Bug/Bot Problems. I've been on Amino for almost 7 years and though even back then, the app had some issues and small bugs, it is nothing in comparison to how it is now. For years, many of us have tried to be patient with big fixes and updates, yet not matter how many times we wait or report bugs, glitches, or bots, response is slow and legitimately NOTHING has changed. I know that Amino is a small company with not a lot of personnel but the issues the app has have been neglected for so long. So many empty promises have been made. "We are aware of this issue.., "we are working on this issue…”, "we just released an update…” but yet all of the glitches and bugs are still there. It's just really tiresome and honestly makes logging into this app a pain. I really used to love this app and still think it has so much potential, but it’s stuck in a state where nothing is improving and the bugs/glitches are getting worse. I really hope one day to see this platform striving again and be as advanced as other social media apps but unfortunately, that might not ever happen with the state it is right now.

The public chat option needs to be fixed (or at least updated). First off, I’d like to say that I love Amino as an app. I tend to chat more than anything and join roleplays daily. It’s a good place to find like-minded people and it’s helped me talk more frequently with close friends. Now as I said, I’m a roleplayer. I use the public chat option frequently. The new update for it is dreadful. You see the most active chats instead of the most recently made ones. This is a problem. Many chats that are the most active have been on the longest and have already started off. It tends to be difficult to join a conversation or roleplay after it has already started, especially as an introvert. A simple solution would just be to change it to the way that it used to be with only the recent chats. Another solution I’ve thought of would be a mix between the two. There could be an option where you can switch between the most active chats and the most recent to view. This would allow recently made chats to be seen more, thus allowing them to become more popular.

Great For All Users. I’ve had Amino for a little more than three years now and can’t say that my experience with it hasn’t been amazing. This app has communities on it that are completely user-generated, even ones for the most obscure fandoms imaginable. Sure, you’ll run into a toxic user here and there, but the same applies for any social media platform, really. Plus, that only ever happens on rare occasions, and considering the huge amount of other incredible, kind people who are also on Amino, the ‘bad’ individuals are greatly outnumbered. My only problem with this app is how clunky it runs on iPad. While I am aware this was made primarily for phones, (and might I say it runs a LOT smoother on them) they could work on making it function just as sleek on iPads/tablets. Other than that, without Amino, I wouldn’t have half as many friends as I do now. It’s crazy how much of an impact it’s made on my life and I really cannot thank the developers enough. If you’re looking for an app solely for the purpose of meeting new people and discussing your interests, then Amino is one for you.

Ah my notifications. Hello I’m Angelina, but my global account is ⭐️Starxie⭐️ and I just wanted to say I LOVE THIS APP! I've only had it for two years and I have TONS of aminos, it helped me make friends, it allowed me to help others with problems, it allowed me to have fun much longer than any of my games. My only complaint is just yesterday I would keep getting notifications from “Baldi’s basics amino”. I had joined a private chat with a few of my online friends and I’m still getting the notifications as I’m typing (says “_______ has sent you a message”) it will only give me the actual message if it’s in real time, but all these are from yesterday (July 11) at 11:29 pm I started getting very annoyed since I was trying to sleep and all I heard was “ding! *vibrate*” and I didn’t get very much sleep. I don’t know if it’s just me who has this problem. But even if I turned all the notifications of in that amino, they would still notify me. I hope you can fix this, otherwise I have no other problem. Keep up the good work ~⭐️Starxie⭐️

A Surprisingly Beneficial System. I left amino for a time, but came back remembering many of the good friends and memories I had made on the app. I returned to something very strange to me: a new system, with a premium subscription and new currency. It was strange to me, as the app didn’t seem to need anything of the sort. But after a few months, I grew to love it, and for a surprising reason. Yes, the coins are an in-app purchase, but you don’t have to pay for them. You can receive them from friends, earn them daily or through enabling advertisements, but there’s something even better at work. New communities have developed specifically for commissions and “adopts” using these coins, and they’ve gone from something odd to something that encourages young artists and writers to keep up their craft. The app alone had been great, but this really shocked me, as currencies and subscriptions had always been something I was disappointed to see. Overall a great app, but an even better community.

This app has too many connection issues that need a fix. Every two to threes days I usually come on this app to check my status and chat with friends but there has been a constant issue that has kept me from doing that and that is the servers always going down and causing unnecessary problems for people who are just trying to have fun but as this app has many many complaints about this issue I find it very irritating and annoying ruining my experience with this game every time and sometimes it comes to the point where I have to shut down my router just to get a 5 min convo in before the whole thing shuts down now this doesn’t mean I hate or dislike the app I very much like it and how it’s grown over the years but I need this to be fixed at least for those people who are struggling with same thing (also note that I am not putting this as my final review I’ll be making more reviews in due time and slowly rating higher stars and note that I did not intend to make any rude gestures that may have offended you or others and I’m sorry but this needs to be fixed thank you and keep up the great work - from a friendly user Go TeamAmino!✨

An Absolute Mess. This app used to be pretty useable, though it had a lot of weirdos and people who would target minors that were rarely ever dealt with by Team Amino, it still had a good idea and had some good ways of meeting people. The app has seriously devolved since I started using it back in 2017. Almost every page I open or switch to (which if you use this app often is many) has another pop-up or ad, notifications constantly pop up and render the top of your screen useless, and that’s not even getting into the features themselves. It seems like whenever a new feature comes out, it’s only a matter of time before it’s locked off to the Amino+ subscription or added to some kind of overpriced monthly premium that isn’t even included with this subscription, from profile banners to chat bubbles which were initially removed from people who got them legitimately but who didn’t have Amino+, for every step forward the app takes, another pointless paywall is added. I keep trying to give this app chances because of how many cool people I met on it, but it’s practically unusable at this point, and with all the pop ups, I really don’t want to try anymore.

Awesome app. This is a awesome app. I gave this 4 stars because its never boring. There is one problem that i think animo should look into. There is a person by the name of jinne sis . This user is currently as i write this review, hacking into peoples accounts and sending extremely inappropriate messages and photos to post . The owners of community's cannot do anything about it since for some reason they taken over many the entire community with inappropriate spams to the point that peoples phones burnout or black our because of the many notifications. I think its super dangerous that there is hackers or sometime if troll on here who is going community to community making people have to ban everyone and delete their accounts permanently from this user. I hope animo reads this because this app is wonderful for everyone. And i don’t wont this app to go down hill because of this one user. I hope they can put a stop to this so that everyone can enjoy this app again.🥰

Great, but a few problems.. So I’m just gonna say beforehand, that amino is one of my favorite messaging apps. It’s a really great app to have and it’s much easier to use than an6 other messaging apps iv3 used, but there ARE still some problems. One problem I have, is that when I’m chatting, and I enter what I was typing, it doesn’t show my p OR, it shows up as a text I’ve already sent. Which is very irritating when I spent a long time on that text. Another issue is that I have my push notifications off for amino, and I get SO many notifications of people chatting. I tried everything I could but it wasn’t working. The last issue is the moderators. I have read a few reviews before typing mine and a saw how some moderators are taking down LGBT+ Aminos. And personally this is very offensive because I am part of the LGBT+ community. So all that you need is to get better moderators, find ones that aren’t against the community,, or ones that make sure they are at least not following the Amino guideline BEFORE taking down the amino. Serious Battery Drain Problem. I don’t know how many others are affected by this,but I’m on a iPhone 6S and as far as I’m aware sense last week to today,I was on 50% battery life then just by opening amino and from getting a ad,my battery is on 22% within only seconds! Maybe it was just me but I know that’s not normal…it’s been happening a lot lately and I was hoping that the problem could be taken care of as soon as possible! And another issue I been having is when checking into amino a ad comes up immediately and I don’t get amino coins when I check in…I have no idea why it does that it just does and I hope that also gets taken care of as soon as possible! As well as a issue when loading the app it sometimes says “amino servers are unavailable at the moment,please try again later” and it just continues that “servers are unavailable” error multiple times. I was hoping the amino devs could fix these issues! Thanks!

Great app, but I have a few suggestions. The app is definitely a suitable platform for different people to socialize and make new friends. I myself have met amazing people, and it awes me to witness the beauty of the diversity of the world. The rules are pretty reasonable, but there’s one rule that I kind of feel iffy about, and it’s the religion rule. I understand that people have different beliefs, and that not everyone is religious. But, in my opinion, I think that instead of suppressing religion, I think it best if the respect for each other’s personal beliefs is promoted. I just find it a tad bit unfair for religious people to not be able to express their own opinions, especially on a platform that aims to connect the world. Differences should be appreciated. Differences should be respected. Both religious and non-religious people are subject to each other’s discrimination, and both should equally be brought into consideration. Other than that, I have no problem with the app. To whom it may concern, thank you so much for your effort into making this app the best it can be.

Amino is good but it needs better monitoring.. I will make this short. I think amino is amazing and has a ton of potential, but they should really review what communities they allow to be created. Because of my poor experience with one amino community, I’m wary of using the app at all but made a new account and continue to do so anyways since I have made many great friends. The point of this review is basically, should amino better police what communities it allows? Most certainly. They allow you to flag communities but I feel that this shouldn’t be their only way of knowing whether or not a community is not following the rules. Specifically dating communities since people of any age can go on them and you see thirty year olds telling twelve year olds how hot they are. Now I’m not saying make amino completely inaccessible, no I’m saying maybe review amino communities before they are open to the general amino public. Amino fix your app. Listen to your users. Communities should be reviewed before being posted for anyone to join and maybe even send a staff member into a community every once in a while to make sure it’s not toxic. Team Amino, you made this app for the people. Now you’re starting to ruin it for the people. And more and more toxicity is running rampant on your app. PLEASE AMINO FIX YOUR APP.

Recommendations, Bugs, & Thoughts. I’ve been using amino for a good couple of years. Yet there’s some things to fix… Device blacking out during VC Laptop/Pc users are invisible to others in public chats (not seeing texts, not hearing them, and not seeing them at all) Not being able to voice chat while using screening room And more, yet those are the two you should fix. My recommendations are Making ACM and amino the same app (it’s confusing and just doesn’t make sense. I feel like a lot of users want them to be the same) Dark mode (would be very helpful) Being able to set a specific picture to be the showing image from gallery at the top of your profile (like how your able to set cover images for blogs, but you know when you look at a users profile that they’re images in their gallery show at the top of their screen? Yea basically a cover image for that) Multi select for communities so we can delete communities easily A “ignore all” button, it makes it so nobody can chat you, comment on your posts, like your posts, stuff like that. So basically a modified block button that blocks everyone in the community. A timer for live chats, one to start the chat in a specific amount of time and one to end the chat in a specific amount of time Being able to mute/put a user in timeout during live chat for a certain amount of time That’s all, I hope you see this message. Bye!! And plz don’t respond cuz if you do it’ll mess up my old old tablet-

App and team amino issues. I love the communities and role playing ability, but I’ve had some issues. Team amino banned my account over the title of one community that was created on my account. I have seen people have four or five communities deleted for the same reason but their account still exists. It’s unfair and team amino should also issue a warning before hand, I was in the middle of messaging someone when all of a sudden amino logged me out. I didn’t know their was a risk of getting banned, I didn’t know why amino logged me out, and I didn’t know I was banned until I tried to log in. Thankfully I had a second account, and even received the rights to my community again. Team amino should alter its methods to be more user friendly, had I been warned I would have fixed everything and my account would never have been banned. Another issue is the app tends to crash and claim server errors when everything is fine on my end. Love the content, hate the officials and physical app. Please fix these things, and I will gladly give that fifth star!

A slight Complaint-. So, I absolutely love amino as a whole!! I met my closest friend on there and even besides that the app is just lovely! But, a big problem I’ve been having lately is that amino starts to get really laggy after just a short amount of being on, and then it freezes and gets ready to crash. Lately the amount of time before it does that has been decreasing and I have less time to try and do what I need/want to do on there. The only way I can really get it to calm down is to close the app, clear my tab, and then open it again. Even then it’s going to crash later on. Amino is my ultimate favorite social media platform, with, from what I’ve seen so far, the least toxicity. I just really do want the next bug fixing update to fix this issue, since, for the entire time that I’ve had amino, I’ve never actually had this sort of problem. It just really ticks me off.. But besides that, keep going with the app!! I absolutely love it <3

Great app up until recently-. I honestly love Amino. I’ve made some wonderful friends and I’ve been in some wonderful communities. But recently I can’t even be on the app without it freezing or glitching literally without 15 seconds of me being on the app. It does this all the time. I can no long check out any of my messages, group chats, or communities because it glitches and freezes within 15 seconds or less. I cant respond to anything because it freezes and then glitches me out of the app. It’s been doing this for about a week and it’s getting really annoying. It’s not my phone, it’s not my internet. No other app on my phone does this. It’s so annoying. I want to be able to talk to my friends again and be able to check out the activity in my communities and so on. But I can’t because the app won’t let me do anything without it glitching or freezing after 10 seconds. What’s going on? It’s making me very irritated.

Global chat is a mistake!. I think this is a serious problem that made me and various users irritated. We have a spamming issue on Global chat, and it's been going on for I don't know, about a year or so. Some set of bots are just sending links to buy bitcoin? I don't really know what it is since most of them are probably in Russian or something. Recently they have been spamming me and who knows how many other people. I have a suggestion to help make this less of a problem. Make invites to chats friend only. The ability to just invite random people out of nowhere with a fresh account is absurd. We already have community chatrooms by entering the respective community. I don't mind the idea of people finding other people from the get go, people can come from other places and want to meet up here. The problem is when you could just have made multiple accounts and spam nonsense to random people, because you allow them to chat with them outside the community through global chat. People could protect their community, nobody could protect the global chat.

A Great Way To Find People With Common Interest But.... It really is a great app and I have been using it for a while and it is the most fun I’ve had in a long time! But there is a flaw I do not agree with. When your account is banned, there is NO WAY to get it back! This is not cool. Amino is very finicky about what you can do and what you cannot do. If you say a few inappropriate things in a chat then you have a chance at being banned! My friend dropped and F-Bomb once and his account was disabled and for some reason he tried using another email but for some reason Amino said the account was banned even tho he never used that email before! And if this weird problem doesn’t stop then Amino could start to lose a lot of members and amino will die! I suggest having a 3 strikes system where if you do something “wrong “ in Amino you get a strike! If you get a strike then for 4 days you can’t comment or post anything. Then if you get a 2nd strike you can’t comment or post anything for 8 days! If you get a 3rd strike your account should be banned for 1 month! Once the account is enabled again the person will only get one strike before the next ban! And that is how I thing Amino could fix how the account disabling works!

No saved posts, constant crashing. This may seem like a small problem, but for many people who are in large communities that are actively updating, it’s a pretty big one. I save the posts I’m interested in reading later because I know if I don’t, it’ll be impossible to find it in the community again. But Amino doesn’t have an option to view these saved posts in one area, which can get very annoying when you’re in 4+ communities and have to scroll to each section individually, versus having a section that saves all of them together, like Reddit. It also crashes when I try to access my saved posts. So either way, I can’t see my saved posts. And speaking of crashing, the app doesn’t just crash when I (attempt to) access my saved posts, but all the time. So much so that I’d rather suffer through the mobile website than even open it any more. It also happens more so with one of my communities than the others, and that community just so happens to be the largest one I’m in. If the app can’t even handle someone being in 3+ communities at once, or a person being in a large active community, than what it the point of having an app?

A Few Problems but Not Many. So... It’s been a few years since my last review so I would like to touch base with you. Lately, many communities have had children under the age of 13 in them. While sometimes, it wouldn’t pose as a problem, I’m fairly certain that with any type of social media you have to be at least 13 to join. Another thing, most of the updates have NOT been bug fixes as the update logs say, they have been changing the entire welcome page and the way the system works. Lately, it has been confusing for me to use as such after being on Amino for so long. When you added all the buttons on the bottom row, I have noticed that it has become much more harder to navigate through the Aminos I am in. I hope you can at least say what you have changed about the app instead of just listing them as “Bug fixes.” It would be able to prepare me for the drastic changes your team has been making lately and so most people don’t have to walk into the app not knowing what thing you guys have changed this time. Until at least a few of these things are changed, I will leave my review as a three-star rating. Thank you for your time.

Great, but not great.... Honestly, there’s a lot to say about this app. To start, it’s got a wide variety of different community’s to join, whatever you like, they have an amino for it. The app runs pretty well, until you figure out all the bugs it has in store for you. There are a lot of ways to communicate, chat rooms, voice chat,and media sharing options. Seems like something you’d want to get into. But one thing in particular seems to ruin the experience for me, and thousands of unsatisfied users. You see, communities are assigned “couriers” people who are supposed to ban people who don’t follow there community guidelines. Seems reasonable considering the amount of people who come to ruin people’s experience. You’d think they’d want to help everyone out. But no, they ban tons of people for doing absolutely nothing, no evidence whatsoever. Your profile? gone, your friends? gone, you’re hard hard work, art, and commitment? never seen again. And yes, I have been banned from countless aminos, for doing borderline NOTHING. In conclusion the couriers are ruthless, break there own rules, and ban anyone they please. So if you guys are listening, please help. Please excuse my incorrect grammar, and consider trying to fix this problem, thank you for your time.
