App Just Stopped Functioning. Please is any one else getting a message to reinstall the latest version in order to be able to login? I go to AppStore and find there is no new release and yet I keep getting this message. I deleted my app and re-downloaded; only to get the same notification. At first, I thought I am forgetting my Password and go ahead to change password successfully, but still can’t log in. What is going on Fongo? This is not cool! Update: I sent a complaint email and got support. Apparently, my account was suspended cause I had recently called a particular number multiple times. Now I will be aware of that. Thankfully, my account has been reinstated. I’m glad Fongo has been responsive through this.

Renewal. Renewal doesn’t work have to constantly search for a contact number to call personally to renew subscriptions (ad-ons)Have done this numerous times with no fix. - Nothing happens when K select add -on

It’s a scam. They close your account for no reason. Even when you bought the app and paid for a subscription. How do you close someone’s account without a reason. This obviously theft

One of the worst paid apps. One of the worst paid apps. You can dial the number but your call hangs when it tries to connect and also when you try to end the call. The app also has a feature to listen to voicemail, which hangs the app, when you try to play the message. It says add-free paid version but you still get to see ads, which is very frustrating. Don’t buy it and save yourself some money.

Fraudulent app. This app is all fraud, they let you subscribe and then they block you off, this is the second time they block me off the app without notice, return my money broke people, why would you ripped someone of his hard earned money when you know the number don’t work for long ? The number only works for few days

Keep receiving anonymous fax (ads), how can I block it?. I really love the APP. (World Edition) But it keeps receiving a lot of annoying Fax ads from Toronto area (ano) nym-ous. My phone is not a Fax machine. Could you please introduce a switch to enable/disable receiving Fax function. That will be very great feature. Thank you very much for your great effort.

Ridiculous. Displaying ads even after buying the app for $4.99 USD is ridiculous. I totally understand if the app is free, but it’s not.

MMS is necessary. Why can’t we receive picture or send picture, picture sending is not good as well it’s should be send like real cell phone... Please fix it

1❤️fongo 👏👏👏👍. My fiancé works in Canada 6 of 12 months every year. This wonderful app gives us the ability to talk to each other truly talk for as long as we want. Without any more expense. You must have access to wifi is the only reason I did not give it a 5 star. I only purchased the $4.99 basic app. For 6 weeks we have talked an the average of 2.5hrs per call some days 2-3 times a day. With me being in the US I can even call his work, as long as it is a Canadian number, for free. If we could use Internet and not just wifi it would be the perfect mist affordable way to make international calls. Thank you 'fongo' DG

Not all messages are shown. You can be sent 10 messages on this app and just one will be shown to you when you enter the app, fix that crap.

Major issues in costumer service. I had really been enjoying the use of this app, occasionally messages would show in my notifications but then disappeared in the app which causes a little annoyance and miss communications. Now however, all the functions of messaging have just stopped. Incoming and outgoing calls work but now messages are able to be received or sent. All my requests for assistance throughout my experienced issues (both minor and major) have been ignored and or not addressed. The concept of this app is there, however, the support is lacking!!!

Excellent app. Just started using Fongo World Edition today and wish I'd known it much sooner… It's worth every penny.

excellent. Works great. usually the calls never get dropped but it happened twice while I was talking to the same person. it could be due to a slow wifi connection. overall i give it a 99.7% rating.

It works, but poor audio. It works as advertised, but the call quality is pretty terrible. However, it's hard to beat price wise. I am able to have a local Canadian number and make local calls for free.

Number unlinks and support never gets back to you. This app worked great for a few months and then it stopped. The linked number is no longer linked and all calls just go to voicemail. No one gets back to me after many support tickets submitted.

Waste of time and money. It does not work with Fongo Mobile App (classic accounts from Canada)

Fongo. Fongo it nice and really help my o line business but must time it just log out unexpectedly

Useless app. Everything was fine until I paid from my apple account. Next thing, it says unable to sign you in, please redownload the latest version. Even though I have another account and login that acc. Now I paid for this one as well and after 1 week, it says the same thing. Customer care says redownload which is not the solution. Terrible app. They take your money & no one to help you once you have a problem

Only scam!! Stay away from this app. I subscribed few days back. I'm not able to receive calls on the number provided by fongo. only outgoing is working. I have approached the customer care 4-5 days back and no body has replied anything till now.

Paid App with Ads. enough said

Not reliable. The app works but frequently drops calls. It also generates a lot of error messages whenever you open it, usually concerning authentication. It is ok as a rarely used second number but is not reliable enough for prime time.

Buggy, unreliable. I get half of the calls, for the other half i get delayed notifications and of course they go to voicemail. In addition the gui is buggy, for example the top left hamburger menu is not reacting to touch input on iphone 7S ios 11.2 most of the time. Have beta testers before releasing new versions please.

Best virtual number app ever !. I get a job in Canada because of this app, I was working abroad and I added fongo number in my CV, many recruiters called me, if I added international number no one ever would call me. Stable app, clear voice, almost free, voice message. Many thanks for Fongo team for the great app

Good for keeping touch with folks in Canada. It is great for keeping in touch with folks in Canada. I wish the "plans" were a bit more flexible allowing things like international text messaging and forwarding incoming calls to my US mobile number. I would pay extra for these features. On the whole, something like line2 or sendhub is a better solution because of the flexibility to use cellular for calls as well as voip. But line2 is $10/mo. Sendhub is $25/mo.

Dumb. I paid for this and I am still inundated with adds. It’s like the app forgot I pad after a couple weeks or something.

No free texting, it's not very reliable sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.. Doesn't work all the time...

Great app with room for improvement. Please make it easier to block spam calls. Thank you.

Not worth the cost. I had read reviews saying you could buy a lifetime ad free version but that’s not true, you have to purchase the app, and then you can choose a phone number, you can’t even text message without buying a text subscription plan, it’s all monthly plans to unlock the basic features of having an app like this, if I wanted to pay for these features I’d get a regular cellular plan. Maybe this app used to be good but it is not worth it any longer.. if it was a one time fee for lifetime text and calling in North America or at least a certain amount of minutes or texts per month or have me click a couple of ads or something to get and send texts then sure, but as it stands for a wifi based calling, you may as well just get google voice and forget about this.

Poor connection. I have a hard time getting connected. I have had other ip phones but I signed up for this service because I needed a number for my business card but unfortunately it has poor service.

Good voice quality need improvement. I like the whole app and never faced any issue on the audio quality. The app doesn't work on my office wifi. Also, when in call the RED end call button so huge and is corner to corner in the bottom part of the screen that I always have to be careful not to disconnect the call. Can the red button be made smaller to avoid any chance of unwanted disconnection? Best.

Stay away from this app, Scam Alert!!. This is a scam app, I have e registered on 3 different occasions and I haven’t even called or text anyone and I have been logged out the 3rd time with no plans to refund. They take your money and log you from the app without rendering any service. Stay away from this App once again!!

Horrible experience. You have to keep running the app on the background in order to receive any incoming calls. Even after doing that, many a times the person who is trying to call cannot reach your number. During the calls, your voice breaks up and people cannot hear you properly. I have a good wifi and network connection, despite that I faced the above issues!

this app ruined my life. in 2020 they sent Emails to all people who’s using fongo asking i think for doing a payment or using their app daily i’ve been using my fongo phone number since 2017 all my social media and my emails even backup email was linked to that fongo number anyway i woke up to find out that Fongo canceled my account when went to my email i found their email after explaining everything to them they seems don’t care. i’ve spent lots of time on many research paper and hiding my other passwords in one of the cloud folders to explain what i’ve been through in two words “i can similarities to bankrupt bu digital rupt.

Amazing for US <-> Canada Calling. I have tried so many other “phone” apps for US <-> Canadian calling and Fongo blows them all away. Very simple interface, very low cost, worth buying the ad free for life version for $7. Excellent support, I had a minor issue and they got back to me ASAP with a fix. I highly recommend you give it a try.

App is not working. It says install new version of the app but i have already updated the app still the same.

Decent app for calling Canada numbers. Note: Recent update of the app, killed call ringing on the phone. Calls no longer ring on the phone. Only get a missed called notification pop-up. When the issue was reported, Fongo fixed it very quickly. Kudos to their team.

Only giving Fongo World Ed. 4 stars because.... Fongo go Wrongo 20% of time. Getting better slowly over time. 1) I like Fongo. Good app, but it needs improvement as it has bugs with sometimes missing settings for "Show My Caller ID". Importantly, voice mail is not 100% reliable. Just left myself a message from a landline. No message delivered? 2) When dialing my Fongo number from a land line I always get directed to voice mail. How to change so Fongo will ring? 3) No regex to recognize telephone entries in their support form for Fongo phone numbers.

Works great when it works!. I needed a Canadian phone number because my plan charges far too much to call Canada. Also, if you make friends in Canada, they most likely won't get charged calling you on your Fongo number. The interface could be prettier and easier to use. The quality of calls is far better than free calls using FB Messenger. I added the texting plan and it's fantastic. The investment isn't much for a service that works well. I don't mind the ads, but I wish it was free to eliminate them with any Fongo service.

Bad. Paid the fee but you can’t even log in on the iPhone gives “install latest version “ error like other users stated. Only works half on iPad but does not ring on iPad either ! Terrible for a paid app ! Terrible app development

Messages. My messages are getting truncated don’t receive full messages and my sent messages are also truncated only firs one or two words show up.

Money grab and bad service. They have a ridiculous policy that they take your credits after being dormant for a short period of time. It’s designed to make it possible for them to take money. The service is also pretty average, I’ve moved to a different service and just get annoyed by their constant emails about how they’re taking my money for no reason. DO NOT USE IT.

Breaks Do Not Disturb. Decent for making international phone calls, but has 2 major issues. First - it takes away credit when you are a paying user and inactive for a fairly short period of time. Second - there is a glitch and calls break through Do Not Disturb on iOS. I’ve had several 3am wake ups due to this glitch. Very problematic.

Used to be good. Not it is infested with ads and will end your call just to show you an ad, even if you have bought credits to make the call… Absolute waste. Go somewhere else

Low quality app. Purchased this app many years ago which was to remove ads but business model changed which means ads. Calls drop in and out, quality am radio frequency like your talking into a tin can. I used signal, what’s app, and others and this has been the worst and I haven’t even explored what data mining they are harvesting. Don’t bother

Reliability problems. Sometimes it works, sometimes not (connectivity issues to Fongo). None of the suggestions on FAQs helped me, so perhaps more significant technical problems.

Mr. Just downloaded this app and paid the $5 and can't even get to the registration screen. It just keeps crashing. Please fix this and I will review the app again once I am able to use the functionality.

Easy to use, easy to install. Worth every penny.

Needs Improvements. No search box for messages. No ability to look at the fongo messages while talking to someone on fongo call. No ability to merge two calls at the same time on fongo. It takes a while to be notified for the voicemails. You miss voicemails. This app keeps getting disconnected in the background, you have to keep checking it. If you watch youtube or a video on FB, this app looses connection and then you meed to reopen and reauthenticate. I love you fongo but please fix it.

Defective and broken. Just repeatedly fails to log in.
