Not honest about the price. The app itself is great, but you really should say upfront that the content costs 1.99. I don’t mind paying, and I did, but rolled my eyes when 5 pages in a price popped up.

Great read. The story itself is great but the artwork really makes this app worth the money you pay for it.

Sleepy Hollow. My first iBook- it was fun to interact with the graphic elements to round out this short read. Fun! I like how you can leave it and come back where you left off. Not gruesome, just good fun.

Fun app retelling of one of my favorite short stories with a few bugs. The app was a fun retelling of one of my favorite short stories, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” The music was fantastic and the graphics were fun and engaging. The app did have a few bugs and wasn’t formatted correctly on my iPhone 12 Pro. Despite having some trouble navigating to new pages, I overall really enjoyed the app and recommend it to anyone that’s a fan of the story.

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. I found this book most difficult as a child (79 now) to have read....never picked it up again since.....until today.... And then I couldn't put it down. The music set the tone for reading the sections as they appeared in the story and the animations kept my curiosity intrigued. It made the reading of the old English so much easier. I would love to hear from youth today to learn if they find it just as delightful. Having been a teacher I can see all kinds of possibilities for discussing the story and the effect of the music in regards to the various passages. For me the lines literally jumped off the page!

Original short story with archaic language.. I did enjoy this production. The artwork was whimsical yet hauntingly beautiful. The music was on par with the type you would hear in a big budget movie score. My only recommendation would be if you could touch the archaic words and get a quick definition.

iClassics are Amazing!. So much fun to read for adults and kids and very well done. The art and animation is superb! I've purchased every iClassics and they have only improved with each release. Can't wait for the next one!

Fantastic Read!. This is the first time I've read the classic tale of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. What an immersive and entertaining experience to do so with this interactive app. The art is nothing short of spectacular. It reminded me of the art used to illustrate the Deathly Hallows in the Harry Potter movie. If you would like to take a stab at reading a classic story you can't go wrong here. I want to read another one now!

Wonderful. Loved this interactive version of the classic tale. The music kept the mood and add d to the tension of the tale. Highly recommend for anyone who likes scary tales on a dark night.

Wonderful Experience. I so enjoy all of the iClassics stories available. This one is the longest and most immersive yet. The right amount of intrigue and literature put together. The app did crash a few times. However it picked up right where it left off when opened again. Recommended!

Quite entertaining. Very well done. Could be of use to spark a child’s interest in reading. Because some of the words are antique, would help to have a built-in dictionary. Also, more realistic graphics, that would teach you a little bit about the actual look and artifacts of the time and place would, for me, have been preferable to the highly stylized cartoon images.

Whim. I tried this on a whim. I thought it was wonderful, and very entertaining. I would've enjoyed it, if we had had this type of technology when I was 12 years old. The music and animation were a lot of fun.

Another Great Addition. They have found a way to attract young readers to classic literature again. Being a high school teacher, I am quite aware of the challenge of getting children, who have all become addicted to social media, to read for a long period of time. This format would definitely help me to tackle that problem in the classroom.

Quite an amazing experience. Would definitely recommend this to everybody, even if you are not/don't have kids! Awesome graphics coupled with a great story makes a memorable app. The only complain I have is about the unresponsive controls which can be fixed with a little update.

Timeless Treasure with a NEW TWIST!. Indeed, the devil is in the details and details, there are many. I have read this book many times, but never was I so anxious to get to the next page. This book is loaded with fabulous graphics, while staying true to the story. I felt like I was right there. Pages with map and chalk would not turn. Had to exit out of app and go back in. Would give this app 5 stars when glitches are fixed.

Breath Taking. This has been one of my favorite story's growing up and this was a masterpiece.

Interactive Story is Even More Spooky. Surprises around every corner made this app turn a classic story into a spooky, Halloween bedtime story. My son and I loved all of the graphics and the music helped create mystery. We are hoping to purchase more apps like this in the future. This app seems appropriate for ages 7 and up, not too scary but just scary enough.

Best interactive book series!. I wish I had these interactive books when I was in school. The music and animation really bring the story to life. Looking forward to more stories!

Wonderful to read on Halloween!. A Tasteful Performance of the tale of SleepyHollow. True this book features wonderful art and engaging music. But the “devil is in the details”, and this iClassic book brings it all together that I was compelled to read it all the way through on Halloween night...and it was not my Intention to do so! A lot of the music is period music to the time, and and I particularly enjoyed the songs at the party. And the transition of the farm land into candy land. The use of the phone’s flash when lightning strikes. The people at iClassics have given the Legend of Sleepy Hollow the treatment it deserves. Of course if you’ve seen the Disney version from the 50’s it’s hard not to picture the scenes, but this being the original text (or so it seems), what better way to actually read the story than with all of the atmosphere and attention getters built in to bring this book to life!

Multiple issues. - Don’t ask me to review every time the app is used. - You have to scrub through the intro video every time you open the app. It’s like amateur hour. How do both of these items translate to a relaxing reading experience? - The app tracks your location, which can be shut off by going into settings. Why does an app that solely involves an interactive book need my location data? Are they just curious where their users are located or are they selling it? I have three of their apps and only two are trying to track my location. Not sure why this is.

Absolutely Awesome!!!. I really enjoy reading this with my son. The graphics are spectacular. It is a lot of fun!!!

An enchanted interlude . . .. An enchanted interlude, that is how I describe my investment of late October time to this “Legend of Sleepy Hollow” gem. What a solid alchemy this rich and timeless tale embellished visually into a graphic wonder. The richness of the depiction of poor Ichabod’s odd stature will always stay with me. A fine experience I will faithfully re-visit each Autumn.

Lots of fun!. I love all of the iclassic stories I've read so far. This one though (sleepy hollow) kept kicking me out and bringing me back to my home screen.... Just a lil bug ya'll might want to look into. Other than that keep up the good work and I look forward to more stories.

Totally worth it!!. I really never thought it would be as fun as it is but it is!! You have to try it especially in a dark room all comfy and awake and ready !!!

Short but enjoyable!. Some of the interaction like moving things out of the way when reading were needless filler. Very good quality artwork though.

Loved it!. Great retelling of a classic! Loved the animations that served to make the story that much spookier and immersive! The only real issue I encountered were the page buttons as I had to tap the corners multiple times to either go forward or back in the story. A minor inconvenience compared to the experience of reading through this wonderful story in this way! Thank you and please continue making more!

Deeply immersive and an excellent experience.. I have the bundled package of Iclassics, and they are absolutely phenomenal. Sleepy Hollow is my current favorite, it pulls you in as an already amazing story but the added ambiance and attention to details makes the experience second to none.

Addictive. This is a Halloween favorite of mine, and to have music and animation added to the narrative adds pumpkin spice to the entire pie (mmmm ... pie ...) I recommend this app and also recommend enjoying it on a crisp Autumn morning with spiced cider.

Very entertaining enhancements to great stories!. I have many of the iClassics collections. What a great enhancement to already great classic works of fiction! The art and animations are thoroughly enthralling. It makes the stories even more fun to share with children or adults. Keep up the great work!

Suspicious. These books are entertaining and well done, but unfortunately I have to give them a low rating due to the apps suspicious behavior. I have purchased all of the iclassics and found that they all immediately default to the 'on' position in cellular data and immediately use nearly a megabyte of data. Why a book would need to use any data at all is curious and that they use that much data is both odd and suspicious. I wrote to the company at the email posted on their website but received no response. I cannot recommend purchasing these books unless they stop this practice of sending whatever data they're gathering and using customers cellular data without permission.

Incredibly Interactive. I love how hands-on this makes one of great American classics. Be warned: the story is told in the original early English, which may be difficult for younger readers to understand.

A must have for Halloween.. I always enjoyed the movie made by Disney was like a tradition on mi house growing up every Halloween. It doesn’t work :(. It worked just fine and was great at first, but now the app is just a black screen. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, but it doesn’t really change anything. I cleared up some space on my phone before reinstalling but still no dice. I hope this won’t happen with the Lovecraft apps as well.

Awesome, but more of preview than a free book. I loved the music and the illustrations which I felt helped to add a better atmosphere to the book. I was really excited to try this out and this gives a great preview, but you only get a short five pages of reading (not all of which are interactive) before you’re asked to pay $2 for the rest of the story. I was under the impression that this free app would have ads like most of the free games/apps available or would provide at least 15-20 minutes of entertainment before demanding money. Instead it was like a brief YouTube video that gives you a feel for the book. The description lists a wide range of alluring features, but you only see one or two. It’s hard to write a review on the advertised free app when that free content is only 5-10 minutes. It might be a little more accurate to do what you get in this app as a video preview and then just market the app as being $2.

A once great app reduced to a money grab...sigh. I really liked all of the apps from these guys. I work as an ESL teacher and used them for my students to get them excited and interested in what, normally, terrified them. My daughter also greatly enjoyed them. I saw their purchase as in investment of interest. Then came the mandatory updates and they added new content that was an in-app purchase but they LOCKED what I had already paid for before! Now one app and .99 cents would be one thing...but I had gotten so many of them! I didn’t fork out nearly $5 each just to be held up for more to buy back what I’d already had! I got in touch with t hem thinking this was an error and got a person who spoke very lovely and said oh, it’s just a mistake I’ll get you the codes. NEVER HAPPENED. and who’s to say if I gave in now that I wouldn’t have to purchase them all AGAIN at their next fund raising opportunity. Sorry. Fool me once shame on you...fool me twice, shame on me. I’ll stick with the old YouTube teacher cartoon standby and put my money into books that aren’t taken away and ransomed, thank you very much! I don’t know what’s going on w these review responses. I never got a response until today and it popped up in notifications just now... and yet it says the response here was from the day after.. in November.... it is now AUGUST... I did indeed correspond multiple times w someone there newly in charge of getting your apps out to teachers...after weeks of promises I got no more answers and changed my reviews to reflect my disappointment. I don’t mind update fees after a huge OS update... but not buying them again. I don’t have the $$ for that.

Crashes. First time playing IT FRIGGING CRASHES!!! I hate this crapola Bought this for my disabled daughter and it is frustrating her and now me. DAD IT CRASHED AGAIN! A nightmare indeed. How is this allowed.
