Love the idea behind the app. Works great. I’m sure I’m time I’ll get used to it over the “other” app

It Used to Work. I was able to open the app but recently it won’t open. The last 3 times I tried I waited and it never opened!

Hard to use. The fonts and font size cannot be changed. Makes it hard to read. It’s a pain to download the books. On top of that, there’s no way to see before downloading the size of the “book” or if it just a sample. If I don’t see a change for the better, I’m deleting this app.

Stonewall Jackson. Great sub book, great research on locations and weapons plus sub language. Really enjoyed this book and 7 of 7 book. Will now read all of them in order. Like the idea of XO being a lady with ties to Commander. Glad you did not back away from descriptive language. Being retired Army CID commander telling it almost like it is makes for amusing reading. Keep up the great books. Tex

Might be nice if you could actually read a book. No matter which way you try to read the book, either by download or cloud, you get a download book. Deleting after this review.

Not good. First, on a phone you can’t turn it to read sideways, and typically on open, the pages shake. Bummed cuz I can’t read my purchases

POTENTIALLY A MAJOR APP. This app shows good promise. I gave it two stars because it is still buggy on iPados 14.7.1.. it sometimes needs to be deleted, and also do a power off reset. My wife has been fighting it for over an hour. Software testing is almost harder than the coding. I await a very classy app.

BookFunnel. Again it’s not working. Just updated two days ago and can’t get in to read my books! Please fix your problem

Needs carplay support. App works great my only negative feedback is the lack of apple carplay support.

Cuts off functions. Whenever the app is open, it cuts off a lot of audio related functions on the phone.(Siri, ping, notifications…)

Not bad. It would be nice if it worked with Car Play so I can listen to the audiobooks while driving. I would also like it if I can browse my library as the book is playing. I purchased Laura Burton and Jessie Cal’s Fairy Tales Reimagined series, and since the books are meant to be read in a specific order, I would really like if the number in the series was included in the title, or better yet, the cover art. I’m also a little disappointed that the books cannot be sent to other listening apps such as Audible (which is accessible on Car Play, hence my attempt) despite it showing “Send to Another App” as an option on the book’s main screen.

Has potential but not useful to readers. The critical thing this app is missing is to allow readers to browse books from the authors using the app. As a reader I have no use for this app unless an author I know forces me to use this to download their book. That doesn’t help an author to grow their readership. Add this functionality and you would be a strong app

Good but could be better. This app is good, but has the potential to be so much better.

Was good now will download nothing. The first few times I used it was extremely complex to use, but now even tho I download a book cannot open in kindle or books. Now i just have to skip the free first books.

Great audio book player. It’s easy to get an audio book and get it on the player. It works just as described. I specially like the ability to set your own skip/back increments. Could you pretty please add a CarPlay widget? I do audio books while driving everyday and it would surely help that process. Thanks for a great product!

Not the best app…. Disappointing app. Certainly not so professional as Audible. Listening speed is not so detailed as Audible. The biggest miss is that the chapter list does not include the timing of each chapter (which could be easily rectified, Developers). Perhaps, with experience, it will improve.

Works great, battery devourer!. The app functions as well as Audible, less some features and not quite as polished, but it is extremely inefficient when it comes to battery. I listened for 4 hours 8 mins to a book that was downloaded, 11 minutes of that was with the app up on the screen, the remaining 4 hours 3 minutes the app was in the background (maybe 15 mins while I did other things on my phone) or my phone was locked (vast majority). In that time BookFunnel used 44% of my phone’s (iPhone 12 Pro Max) battery!! It wasn’t streaming the book, it only used 7MBs data total. That’s the only issue I have with the app. I work 10 hour shifts and don’t have access to a charger, which makes this nearly unusable.

Don’t bother. A little touch of worthless. Feel bad about the book I paid for and pre-ordered but plan to delete it all. It’s not an app that you can actually read a book on. Good Lord, who wants to go through this much work to try to read something everything else you just download and use save your money please.

Slow. It takes several minutes for the library to open and another few minutes for the book I choose to open and begin playing. Other then that it’s ok.

Works well; let’s me listen to non-audible books. I like it just fine, but I wanted to provide a minor bug report and I can’t figure out how else to communicate with the developer. After listening for a while the entire background gets overlayed with what looks like a small, fairly random pattern that is tiled over everything. When you interact with the controls then that section of the screen is updated and the pattern disappears there. If you leave the screen and come back it’s gone completely but it will come back after a while. It doesn’t stop you from listening to the book or anything and the visuals on a audio book app aren’t all that important but I thought you might want to know. I’ll happily up my rating to 5 stars if you fix it, as otherwise I’m pretty happy with the app. A personal preference, though certainly not a bug, would be that the book I’m listening to doesn’t pause when I’m browsing the library until I click on a different book to play. Anyway, thank you very much!

Frustrating. I tried and tried to get the book to download. The directions told me to click the share button, then send to Kindle. After several attempts I was forced to give up. It just doesn’t work. 😡

RIP OFF. Don’t waste your time! Just go straight to the Kindle app to download the books and you will have a much easier and fluid experience. RIP OFF!!

So bad it was unusable. Downloaded the app to read an extended epilogue download for a book I’d just finished, and the experience was truly horrible. The content library worked fine but beyond that functionality totally fell apart. The display type was very small - smaller than 8pt type I’m sure - and controls to zoom to page width or fit to screen did nothing. Zooming using iPadOS reverse-pinch motion did zoom but then it was impossible to scroll up or down to the next page and pinching back to the original resolution didn’t fix that issue - in fact it went too far and switched into page thumbnail view. Then the display froze entirely. Tried closing the app and restarting - and same thing happened. Ridiculous waste of time. The last one of these I downloaded had the option of opening the PDF download in Kindle. Not sure why that option went away, but a save yourself the hassle and just open and read the PDF on its own. This app isn’t worth the effort to download it.

Keeps losing my spot. After it lost my spot 3x on the first book I’m giving up. I’m requesting a refund for the books but I don’t expect it. Wont purchase books that use this app going forward

Easy to use. This app is simple and easy to use. There are no complicated buttons or instructions. Just download the book and start reading. I really like the different fonts you can use. Some fonts are a lot harder to read and this app gives you lots of options.

Support team is great!. The app has had its share of some bugs and issues in its initial rollout. But they're constantly pushing through updates. And when you email them about a bug, they respond very quickly and usually have an update rolling out within the next day or so. So it’s not as polished as Audible yet but I think the future is quite bright.

Love this app. I love this app. It’s so easy to get the books I love and share them to my Kindle library. The only thing I wish it could do is download all my books at once. Well I also wish I could save my books from my Kindle app to this app. Otherwise it’s great!

Nearly 5 stars.. The reasons this doesn’t get 5 stars from me right now are as follows: 1) When a phone call comes in or when a navigation app gives instructions playback will not automatically resume once the call is ended or when the navigation app is done. 2) The app doesn’t support/isn’t supported by Apple Car Play. 3) The app doesn’t have the ability to create collections/playlists so that books of the same series can be put together and played in order without having to manually select the next book.

Great app. I like this app I can read all my books and move them to other apps, everyone needs to get this app.

Frustrated. Tried to read a book that was sent to me, and every time I try to open it up, it goes back to the app start page, and I don’t know how else to get this book read

The incredible disappearing app. I was really enjoying this little app. I bought a whole series of books (the first was free and the rest were ridiculously inexpensive so I bought the whole series. I was totally hooked, and I tried to open the app this morning, and it was totally blank. Nothing was there. I tried to redownload the App. Didn’t work. I could have downloaded these books to several apps, including my Applebooks, Nook, etc. Why did I select this disappearing app? Beware!

Where did it go?. I downloaded the app and added to the books already there. Then I closed the tablet and went to bed. The next morning the app was gone, vanished completely. I have no idea what happened. I have no access to the books I bought.

Most difficult app ever.. Incredibly difficult app. I got the ones I paid for. Had to use Apple. Guess my two free ones are in your app some where. You say you sent a password. I never got it. You say I marked you as spam or junk some time so you can’t email me, but you keep emailing me but not with the password I need. I can’t get into my library without it. You won’t be getting anymore of my business. I don’t think your programmers know what they’re doing. After many emails to your Jamie, I still don’t have my books. The last email offered the same convoluted solution as before. No thanks. Keep my money and your damned books!

Very enjoyable. I enjoyed reading this book has a nice plot . And enjoy a sweet romance! Looking forward to reading more books by this author!

Please add option to add note to bookmark. Overall I enjoy using the app. I like that it shows total percentage finished on category homepage. The one complaint I have is there’s no means to annotate/make a note at bookmarked spots. As an audiobook reviewer many advance copies are provided through book funnel and it’s helpful to be able to add a reference note at particular spot to refer back to when compiling the review. Audible has this feature and I miss it when I’m utilizing book funnel.

Cost. Can not find how much this app cost

BookFunnel. I’m happy with this app. It gives writers an easy place to send books purchased, and I can store my author purchased books on app, and send to my Kindle. I can also listen to audio books I’ve purchased from authors with app. It’s easy to use, and I have zero complaints.

Love it. Just wish there were a continuous scroll option.

Great customer support. I've been using this app for books for several years without any problems. Had some trouble with my first audio book and I reached out for support. Jamie responded quickly and fixed the bug and now it is working perfectly.

Poor app. The font selector isn’t even functional. Think you have the option to choose Sans Serif in that font list? Jokes on you. That one and “Serif” look identical on-screen. This app bears all the marks of caring FAR more about selling their services to authors than the experience of readers. And though the offer I bought promised multiple file formats to read in the app I chose, this sorry app offers no such ability. I won’t knowingly buy another product using this platform. Two thumbs down.

Review r. Good app with easy to navigate controls and systems. Little to no bugs only wish it had CarPlay.

I love this app, their support is fantastic.. I love using this to read books, it let’s you select not only font size but also various fonts, line spacing, set bookmarks, etc. it automatically syncs between your devices, so anytime you add a book it will be on which ever device you decide to use, and will take you to the last page you were reading, even if you change devices. The other really important feature is that their support is FANTASTIC. They do not give up until your problem is solved.

Great if you don’t pause while using earbuds. Every time I am listening with my AirPods and I have to pause my book when I hit play again it sounds like they are in a tin can. Then no matter what I do it stays this way until the end of the book. If I don’t pause at all it sounds great with my AirPods and if I listen without AirPods it sounds great! PLEASE FIX THIS IT DRIVES ME CRAZY :)

buggy but hang in there. I had major issues with the audio after closing the app for the first time. It appears the download got corrupted and i had to redownload. the app does not work as well as audible but seems to work well enough if you don'tmind some troubleshooting.

Lousy App!!!! Zero Stars if I Could!. They keep saying that they sent me an “instant password”. Checked my inbox, my spam folder, me promotions folder, my deleted folder, never received any kind of “instant password”. Not worth the space on my mobile devices!

Go to jail. Very disappointed with this app. Tried reading great book. Never got passed chapter one. The story was restarted every minute or so, taking me back to the beginning.

This app sucks. I don’t recommend it. I can’t log in, can’t access my books. Such a waste of time.

Needs a better way to transfer to ereader. I love having the app and keeping everything in place but when it comes to transferring files to ereaders there must be a better way. Can you have a place to store my devices email address so I can send it directly from the app to the device without the email steps? “Send to kindle” seems to only apply to the kindle app but it’s offered as an option when selecting “send to ereader” your support options could have a place for feedback as well…then I wouldn’t be leaving this in a review.

Save my settings!. I set the page for night reading so dark screen with larger print and low brightness so I don’t blind my husband at night and every time I reopen the app it’s back to white blinding bright tiny print. Why doesn’t it save my settings??

Fails to send to Kindle. Obtained a “free” book that sounded interesting, but has to be accessed through this app. The app claimed that it would send the book to my Kindle, but after authenticating with Amazon the book never appeared. I’m treating this app like a malicious app and I’ve changed my Amazon password (I already had MFA enabled). In my opinion, this app is complete trash and any author who publishes through it should reconsider their choice.

Worst book app ever. This app is the worst book app ever. Can’t get anything to work. The help info is worthless. Can’t find books with their own code. Doesn’t tell you that you have to enter a code they’ve emailed you to confirm signing up which is only good for an hour so it’s expired before you ever see it and there’s no options to get another one sent. DON’T waste your time and frustration on this app. If I could have given a negative five rating I would have!

Where are my books?!! Where is the email you said you sent FIVE TIMES?’. This is a joke!! I just got this app in order to get a free book and some books I paid for. I was told FIVE times that they were sending an email with a password. I’ve been waiting almost an hour snd I still don't have it!! It says the code I was given was not found!! Don’t even mess with this app it’s a stupid joke!!

Old friend...but a new problem. I used BookFunnel for years on Android phones and loved how easy it was to download books--tap Send My Book in the email (or whatever) and it sent an email with a link--or you could scroll down after typing in your name and email and tap Download Now to get the book right away. Got my very first iPhone, downloaded BookFunnel and found a book I wanted in an email. Clicked on Send My Book, it said "Look for the email with the link"...and the email with the link never arrives. If I want to add to my BookFunnel library, I have to get my laptop out or wait until I can get it out--sometimes it's not practical. I don't have any problems with Windows (the laptop), I never had problems with Android...so why am I having problems with iPhone?

Worst reading app. I purchased a book yesterday and this app was the only way to get it. Once I downloaded and created my profile, I was able to “download” my book. I opened it and almost immediately the app accepted the book code, then sent me back to the “submit book code” page. I closed and reopened the app, hoping this would remove the glitch. Nope … It required me to re-submit the book code to get a book that I’ve already downloaded. It does this three or four times and still won’t open the book. If it does open, when I attempt to send it to another app (which is supposed to be a built in function of BookFunnel), it tells me the book isn’t available to to send. How difficult is it to send a pdf book to the Apple “Books” app or even Adobe. The app would be better called “Money Funnel.”

Glitches almost every time I use it. So I download a lot of free books through links sent by authors in emails. And almost every time that I try to download with a code it gives a black screen. The only way to solve this problem is, delete the app and reinstall it. I shouldn’t have to do that every time I want to download a book. Super glitchy, needs fixing. And looks like I’m not the only one having issues. PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM BOOKFUNNEL APP DEVELOPERS!!

Awesome. This app is so easy to use. I inserted the code and my book downloaded seamlessly.

Struggle. It’s a struggle because when I went to read a book on here it doesn’t let me you got it like we gotta get an author email or something and it’s really annoying and like you need instant code and everything and it’s super annoying and super weird and super complicated and I just likemaybe they should fix that or something it’s like it’s real like it’s not it’s not it’s not. I don’t like it like I don’t think I would recommend it to anyone because I don’t know how to use it and it’s really annoying.

Poor man’s errrr… I mean direct marketer’s buggy kindle app. Who wants to track purchase codes for a book, download an obscure app, enter in the code, have a book siloed from other devices, on a glitchy app. Dumpster fire of a user experience. 😑 Text mis-aligned etc. Buggy with a layout design of a 4th grade computer project. Programmed to optimize direct marketing sales and bypass amazon’s fees which is no doubt where the 5 star reviews come from.

Have to renter code every time I want to listen. I listen in small segments and it’s frustrating to have to enter the code every time, sometimes I pause for a few seconds and return and I have to enter the code again!

Bait and switch scam. Hope you didn’t already buy a book from them - there are no returns. The book I received was nothing like the clip I read on IG. Not in the writing tone, grammar, nothing. I read 3 pages and realized it was worthless but even within 24 hrs there’s no return because it’s a “digital product.” Guess there’s really no competition for Amazon. Bummer.
