This is the best video apps for LUT so far but... I really like this apps so much. It’s really easy and straight forward to use. The features are greats too. But it’s only export 720p video. Wish this apps can export at-less 1080p and 4k video in the future.

good app but; SADLY. Nice app good with color grading BUT when they say one time purchase unlock everything it is just to save a few videos then you’ll have to pay again the same price $4.99 It says one time purchase but it is not that and it is not true!

All-around the best video color-grading tool. Hands down the best. I looked around and tried a bunch of color-grading apps, but they were all missing this feature or that feature. If I’m shooting with the Apple camera app, I can push the image pretty far without too much unbearable artifacting. If I’m shooting with FILMIC PRO, getting a better image from the get-go, I can get amazing results with Video LUT. The LUT part of Video LUT is the real winner here. While I don’t use most of the built-in LUTs and presets, the ability to IMPORT LUTS and save my own presets is indispensable. I feel like I have total control, and that’s what I expect from pro-level apps like Video LUT. If you have any doubts about this app, banish then. It is the best.

iPhone 11 Pro Live Camera Broken. I use the Live Photo function with presets all the time. After purchasing the new iPhone 11 pro I was super excited to use the different lens selections with my custom LUTs. However this function is completely broken, went into settings and checked access to camera and toggled all advance settings “Use open GL context” and “Force OpenGL camera” to no avail. The camera will not turn on, the image is simply black in all video, photo, and selfie modes. I will update this back to 5 stars once this function is fixed.

Richest Color Grading on iOS. Genuinely pleased. Best color grading I've come across on iOS. Take some time to play with it. Once you've found what you like, you'll keep coming back.

Powerful app despite couple small fixes. I have desktop apps like Lattice that cost a lot more than this powerful little app. Besides a couple usability issues, this is a solid app. Some improvements would be the ability to batch process images to existing galleries vs creating new galleries every time. I wish the camera was more accessible, since shooting directly to the app saves time. The camera could be more responsive and give feedback when you snapped photos. Currently there is none and you’re just guessing if it’s taking a photo. Overall this is a really fun app to play with.

Color Matching does NOT work at all!!!!. The Color Matching feature does not work at all. Please fix this, it’s the entire reason I purchased this app. This function works ok in the other bundled app, BUT you can’t export a LUT so it’s useless for my needs. Really wish it could color match to a source image and export a LUT, but the results are so disappointing and not even close to what could be considered a match, again please fix this. Thanks

Best developer ever!. There was a bug that prevented importing custom LUTs. The developer immediately responded and quickly fixed the problem. Amazing! I love this app. Well worth the money.

I love it. I use it for all my luts and coloring on my videos. I really wish you guys could add a better clarity effect pls do an update where the Clarity effect is fixed

Two incredible apps that work incredibly well together!. To my filmmaker family out there. First you should know that the VideoLUT app is incredible. Its multiple functions and the amount of presets too, this is now one of my “go to” tools. It’s at a whole new level when coupled with the “Match Colours” app. Load up the video or still you want to correct, then load up a video or still you want the colors to emulate. Two separate apps, that work great together. Thank you!

I wish I could give this zero stars.. I wish I could give this zero stars. It does not work at all. I open the app, am able to click on “open” and then “video” and then it all just freezes. Don’t even waste a dollar on it. Wish I could get my money back.

Pretty good; needs some work. I really like this app. I like the amount of tweaks I can make to every aspect of recording. However, there is still some lag issues when it comes to recording. There’s a bug where one has to open a camera in the portrait position before turning it sideways. But overall it’s pretty good.

Can’t Import .Cube files anymore. Been trying to import my LUTs and once I try to import one, the app crashes immediately. I downloaded this app because it’s the only one I can use with my custom LUTs. Is there an update coming?

Almost perfect. This app produces really quality results and for me has been very stable. I’m really in need of batch video processing, though. It takes so much time to run all my clips through. If I’m missing something and if there is a way to batch process videos I will update this to 5 stars

Video quality terrible. I took some 10-bit D-Log M footage from my drone and saved it at max quality. About 10-15 mins later when it finished and I went to view the saved file it was absolutely terrible! It butcher my original footage to this terrible pixelated version. Then I wasn’t expecting the 50/50 before/after preview to be part of the final file I saved, but that was also done. I’m really aggravated at paying money for this when it gave me a worse end product in terms of quality and pixelated blocks everywhere.

I love this app BUT. Excellent app but I find the UI a bit difficult to navigate, and not aesthetically pleasing. Also I don’t like the fact that the highest quality LUT I can export is 33 when I can do 64 on my iPad Pro. So I’d like to make the request that there be support for higher quality LUT export. I work with a lot of 4K HDR and Dolby vision content so I need these color adjustments to match the quality of content I’m producing. This is otherwise a great app for creating LUTs, I appreciate all the fine adjustments they have and the calibration feature so I can use my color checker passport to efficiently color correct my videos. I recommend this for mobile content creators, it definitely completes my suite of editing apps on my iPhone when I don’t have my iPad Pro easily available at times. Just a warning, you have to pay twice for the same exact app on iPad. If you only want to pay once you have to choose between iPhone or iPad app, I personally don’t like that because I see it as greed; considering the iPad app doesn’t offer anything more than the iPhone app, so why not make it a universal app you pay just once for? I know as a developer myself the resizing of the app doesn’t take the effort it once used to take so I think it’s unfair to be trying to charge more for the same exact app I could get on my iPhone with no additional benefit.

Don’t buy. Not worth the $5.00. Room for improvement. Stay away . 1500 cinematic worthless preset .Basic adjustments that can be found in many free video/still editing apps. Developer did not like my honest opinion . Hope they can use that same energy to transform this into a better app. Cheers mate !

ALL of my video presets are missing..... I would like to start saying that this app is really good in general I have used it to edit my videos but the ONLY problem I have is that today I went to edit a video only to find ALL of my video presets are gone, I’m really disappointed they they are missing and there is no reason as to why they should be gone.

Take 2. So I had amended a different review yesterday, but suddenly the app is become wholly useless. Up until yesterday, it was having glitchy things that I could put up with, but now suddenly my videos are being saved as “compvideo” which I can neither open up with the app or any other app, so is anyone familiar with this issue?

Pure Brilliance!. This is the perfect app for anyone who edits videos on their phone. And its the cleanest app i have used to edit my videos. I wasn't expecting so many LUTS when I bought the app... its just amazing... Its a must have app for any videos edited on IOS... Great Work!

Love It. Extremely well done! Not pretty but works incredibly well! I have imported many LUTs as well. My only suggestion is you need to be able to “Favorite” your LUTs. Takes too long finding my best ones.

Great for editing on my phone, But…. So I love the capabilities of this app. It’s essentially a stripped down davinci resolve, and I can do 90% of what I need to for my content in this app. The only place where it falls short is halation in videos. It only works like 50% off the time, the other half it turns on… but there is a halation border around THE ENTIRE IMAGE. obviously this ruins the effect and the video, so I just keep it off, but I would love to be able to use halation to its fullest. This is also missing sliders for RGB wheels which would make it much easier to use on mobile. Think Lightroom grading wheels and the sliders there. I know it’s possible to have these sliders bc those sliders already exist for the split toning. These a knit picks, but they would make this app 15/10.

The BEST APP. Hands down, the BEST app for color correction and color grading in iOS, finally I found it! I searched all the internet for app like this. Huge thanks to the developers for this monster. Please give us option to go back if we do something wrong. There is a button on the top, but this button reset all the project. So bad. We need button only for 1 step behind. If I change a value on exposure I want to go where I was with out trying to find the right spot with my hand. Anyways. At the end AMAZING.

Seriously? Change up to Sub plan?. I had a 5 star review for this app, but after using it regularly for I don’t know how long … a year? I get promoted to pay for a pro subscription plan. Slimy. Not cool. Junk fees. I would pay a flat one time price, but as we have all experienced, subscriptions amount to forgotten fees and may as well be junk fees that banks use for overdraft - which subscription services notoriously cause and create.

Does what it claims. Color-correction on iOS. Niiiiice. I wanted to shoot in log and apply a LUT... on iOS. I don’t think that’s too much to ask. Apparently it is. Or, was, until this handy app came along. If that’s what you need, BUY THIS and don’t look back. Sure, the interface is clunky, and I’m super-annoyed that the app isn’t universal (seriously?!) but if you care about the primary need, the price is right.

Love it!. I’m really enjoying getting to use and learn this app. I’m taking videos that I shoot on my iPhone to the next level. Is there any way to batch process multiple video clips?.. That would be amazing. Also, I’m noticing a little lag with saving video clips. Overall, really fun and easy to use.

One of my favorite editing apps. The only downside right now is that when opening a video it no longer shows me the preview now. It will only do it for photos. Idk if it’s because of the new update but pls fix this

Love this app but it is currently not working!. Love love this app but it’s not uploading videos at the moment : / when they upload it just shows a blank screen playing. Tried uninstall/reinstall and different videos.

Problem with saturation when saving to camera roll. I love this app! But there’s a problem when you save to camera roll the reds of the image are desaturated and not how they look on the app is there a way to fix it? Maybe allow saving as a png or tif so it maintains the quality?

Suddenly wants paid to unlock feature I had. One of my favorite lut programs, that I paid for, now suddenly won’t save and wants to watermark to get me to upgrade to pro. Please tell me this was an error and fix this. I already paid for the program!

Question. When i “open with video lut” takes me to the app and it says “files imported “ but then i cant find them anywhere i clic , the luts end with a .zip is this the problem ?

Best LUT & Color Grading App Ever. I’m so happy I found this app! I use this all the time to apply looks to my insta stories. It’s easy to import and apply LUTs and the clips export at full resolution. The grading tools are very comprehensive for a mobile app. Most of all I love that it has Lightroom style HSL sliders to adjust the look if I need too it’s just beautiful. I’ve tried LumaFX and VideoGrade and they just don’t stack up whatsoever.

Wow! This does what I cannot do. Truly, if want stunning video or photos to post to social media and you are not tech savvy this is the app for you! Remember to join the Video Lut FB Group they created!!!

Fantastic App for viewing Log footage with LUTs applied. I was able to play back 8-bit h264 log color proxy footage with a LUTs applied to preview different looks

Best color grading app. I love this app. Nothing beats it when it comes to color grading, and this latest update gave me one of the few things I've been wanting on it since the app started, touch and hold to view original picture. One thing that would be amazing for this app to have is some sort of video noise reduction (not sound), then this would be a 5 out of 5 stars, it really is a 5 out of 5 already though I'll also have to say that I'm not finding anywhere that you can individually adjust the opacity of the second lut apart from the first lut. The opacity seems to be hooked to everything even curves. That's another reason it's 4 stars for me

I’m a fan, but... I’m def a fan.. great built in presets. However, I uploaded one lut pack with no issue, but have not been able to upload any since. They’re all grayed out. I have all the cube files in my “files” on phone and for some reason it won’t read them. Other than that, best color grade app you’ll find on the iPhone.

Sound issue. Great filters and coloring for videos and picture put of your playing on using this for videos which audio that is supposed to be in sync with the video use another app because when you apply the filter and save it the audio is ahead.

Awesome app. Great app, full featured. One request: ability to export a still from video after you grade. Record a lot of 4K videos and would love to share stills on social media

Paid for the app now it’s making me pay for pro after 3 years of using it... Why do I have to pay when I paid for it already? The update messed up the app experience by making it not work for us that paid for it.

I don’t think it’s worth it.. It destroys the quality of your video well at least for me. There’s no way to get a refund unless you say you “accidentally” purchased the app, also the presets are not impressive at all. So if i have the Iphone X and the quality still comes out bad I should just wait till the Iphone 27 comes out and maybe by then the quality will magically get better ?

Great filters. Love the LUT filters. Overall a great app. Just a few feature wishes: 1. Use the current image as the filter preview thumbnail 2. Move all the UI to the bottom for easier reachability 3. Keep the selected filter in the center so we don't have to manually scroll and tap each time we want to select the next filter Otherwise very powerful yet simple to use app!

Import your favourite LUTs!. Now I can finally apply my favorite LUTs to the videos I record in Filmic pro with LOG/flat profile! This app comes with a lot of pre installed video presets to choose from. I had a backup of 7 favourite LUTs of mine on Google Drive in a .zip file. All I had to do was choose "open this item in Video LUT" and this app right away imported the LUTs into the app just like that! I didn't even had to extract the .zip file! Also there are many other adjustments you can make to your video via this app. Worth purchasing. I'm using this on a 6s Plus.

Best iOS color grading on the go app. I love this application so much, it is a must on my iPad and iPhone when on the go. Makes it easy to import Downloaded luts

A Must Have. I’m an aspiring filmmaker, and this app beats any other that I have so far seen when it comes to color grading your videos. Extremely easy to use, while some features could be tweaked, (such as being able to compare the original footage to the color graded one horizontally) it is overall an amazing product. I often will find several Luts that I like and can’t decide which one to use (which compared to many other apps that only offer a handful of mediocre options, is a good thing to be distressed about). I would say that this app is definitely worth the money, and really does deserve 5 stars. As a side note, I would like to add that some people appear to have a problem importing their own Luts, but since I have not used this feature, I do not know. Overall, I am a satisfied customer.

This app needs more recognition. For it’s price it’s really good. I actually wish I purchased this first before the Lumafusion because I rather use this than create my own LUT and I’m not really into complicated video stuff so iMovie and Filmic pro works enough for me. Anyway, this deserves a 5 star.

Needed support for ipad. Best colour grading app I've found on iOS devices yet. Needs 4:3 aspect ratio support for iPad, please get rid of the letterboxing and use the whole screen.

Edit: After a few months using this app. I dont like what was done there, I get a message to “unlock everything” for $7, did I not purchase the app and am entitled to all the features? Awesome Color Grading Capability. Closest thing to a desktop grade color editing application on iOS. Lets me quickly process my flat D-Cinelike drone video into something acceptable for posting from mobile.

App is crashing in iPad M1. Amazing app . Happy to see how it evolved. I’m seeing a some random crashing on the m1 pro iPad . Perhaps it needs a bit of tweaking.

THE video grading app on iOS. I don’t think there’s anything else even close to this on mobile. Waveforms, Histograms (luminance and RGB, moveable, sizeable, displaying waveforms while rendering), vectorscope, a wealth of LUTs, and more grading tools than you can shake a stick at. The only thing I would suggest is a few more file management options, like keeping the original file name and adding a pre/suffix automatically. But, that’s minor, really. This is money well-spent if you’re interested in mobile editing.

Awesome utility for color grading. I love using this app to preview of how my custom LUTs will look in Final Cut Pro as it shows you a little preview of the LUT in the thumbnail. And that little detail saves me a lot of time instead of having to use the drop down menu inside Final Cut Pro and apply LUTs to preview it. I only wish there was an iPad version of this app, that would make this app perfect.

it wont let me save the video. i got the app today, edited 2 videos and saved them and it wont let me save anymore videos. I tried refreshing the app, re-downloading the app and even re-turning on and off my phone and it still does not work. It loads and takes a really long time waiting for it to load for saving and then when it says it is saved it is not saved in my camera roll. I either want this problem fixed or get a refund cause $6 for an app is not cheap.

Cannot restore. When i click on the restore button, it does not restore what I previously purchased. I think it needs an update. Why did I ever update the app when it was working perfectly. Enrique G responded to this query and gave me a redemption code. It works perfectly now. Thanks for the prompt response!

Still needs to be fixed. Just bought it to see if it works, and for the color grading - yes, but failed at exporting as the other comment explained. That 1st comment was posted in August, and it's October - this should have been fixed. Please address this issue.

Highly Versatile, Great File Mgmt. If you’re looking for an app to grade both your photos and videos using LUTS you’ve downloaded from online, look no further. You can easily manage all your 3DL / Cube files into subfolders and have plenty of color adjustment tools to utilize along with their application- HSL, temps, vibrancies etc. My primary reason for this review is to contact the developer to suggest some improvements/added features. 1. Canon CR2 files work in RAW format, Sony ARW files don’t. 2. A tool to make completely separate layers of multiple LUTs. As of now, applying a second LUT is very basic in functionality. I find myself exporting a photo and reimporting it several times to apply 3-4 LUTs. Each LUT layer should be fully modifiable for its opacity / HSL / color / adjustments. No biggie if this is to extensive. 3. On the iPad app, have the option to enlarge the curve adjustments. As of now, the window is very small- iPad users often use it for the larger screen to make more intricate adjustments. I use a precision stylus but it doesn’t do much in the small window that currently exists. 4. There are desktop apps that allow you to preview what resembles a “proof sheet” per say of all your library’s LUTS applied onto the picture you’re editing as small thumbnails. The LUTs here are just in a scrollable roll that have a basic preview of them on the stock photo. It would really speed up workflow to preview all your LUTs on a photo in a small thumbnail library, even if it takes a minute or two to load. Hope these suggestions help, absolutely love this app on both iPhone and iPad! =)

Nice up date 💯⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I bought this app my mistake not that I didn’t want it I just wanted the iPad version. The developer of this app was extremely nice and sent me a code for the iPad I do most of my editing on my iPad. The iPhone app will run on the iPad it’s just small on the screen. As far as the iPhone app with the ability to take pictures and video with your preset LUTS I love it. I would really love to see it on the iPad version. Save your money and buy the bundle you want regret it. I ❤️❤️❤️ it. I still for some reason can’t leave a review on the iPad app but it work just as good as the iPhone app.

Impressive color grading tool for underwater footage. Long review. I’m currently living in a small village in Central America, and my laptop died, and I am unable to replace it for now. I’m spoiled with the Adobe color correction programs, and have been entirely unable to find anything that wasn’t pure frustration for color correction on video for my iPad, until now. The amount of color correction that has to go into scuba diving video is immense, because of the overwhelming suppression of red and yellow light frequencies at great depth. I have tried program after program, based on every review I could read, and didn’t care for any of them. Most of my video is shot on a GoPro, but some of it is shot on a Sony RX 100 Mark V, and anybody who has used theGoPro app for color correction of underwater video knows it leaves much to be desired. Right before I purchased this app, I purchased LumaFusion, and still found that color correction unsatisfying.The first video I corrected with this piece of software came out perfect. I’m not overly fond of the interface, because you cannot use this software without having some idea of at least the basics of color correction, and it’s too easy to overcompensate with this interface, and have to step back to correct something that shouldn’t have been done. I created a LUT preset for the correction and named it “60 feet”, and was then able to use that preset for all my following videos shot at the same depth. When I corrected a 30 foot depth video, I tweaked a few things on the first LUT and saved a new LUT. Easy peasy. Long review short: Most comprehensive color corrector for underwater video I have found on my iPad, hands down. Note for the developer: The interface could really use some tweaking. I’m not fond of interfaces that leave you having to dig through a whole bunch of different menus, and move from menu to menu in order to try to find what you are looking for. Many of your menus could be combined, with simplified basic and advanced options that you could open and close. It would also be nice if you could move the menus so they don’t overlay the video. There is a lot of unused space on the borders of your program that the menus could be on, instead of overlapping the video you’re trying to work on.

Great for stock camera but Filmic Pro? No. Using this app with my stock camera footage is great. I love that I can make my own Luts but when I attemp to open any videos from Filmic Pro they do not load. Please help.

Works, but not correctly. I imported some .cube LUTs (via airdrop from my MacBook), applied them, but they DO NOT LOOK THE SAME AS WHEN APPLYING VIA LUMETRI IN PREMIERE!! That's the whole reason I paid for the app. Wanted to be able to apply LUT on the go. Not a working solution.

Exported FPS/bitrate is significantly slow. When exported it is visibly not retaining the original bit rate / FPS.

Great Features But Useless Unless You Pay.... What's the point of not letting us export images unless we buy "PRO". I mean there's already a huge watermark, let us export even with the watermark otherwise the app is useless.

Works great!. Works great! I imported all of the VSCO film presets and my videos look amazing. For some reason, videos won't play with the default ios player, but will play in imovie, so please fix that. Also, please allow presets to be added through file sharing so you don't have to add each one individually. Even more useful than all that would be a "mix" slider to choose the amount of a certain effect. Thanks for listening!

Does not import luts. Very unhappy that this will not import luts on an iPhone running iOS 13. Tried everything possible...iCloud, google drive, airdrop, etc. The cube file is greyed out. Refund? This is the whole purpose of the app.

Fix LUT import. Seems pretty impossible or maybe lack of decent instructions to import LUTs

Suddenly watermarking images and videos. This app used to be so convenient and fun for me to edit my phone pictures. But now I have to pay to be able to SAVE my edited photo??

Great app but cannot install .cube from email. The app suggested to download .cube from self email. But once download, there's no option to "Open With Video LUT App". Please investigate, otherwise great app for colour grading!
