Great App. Has been spot on so my wife a I were able to see our very first Aurora.

Dreams do come true!. This app is seriously awesome! My dream trip has always been to go to my ancestral homeland of Norway. I have always had a fascination of world travel and have been fortunate to have seen 39 countries. Norway always alluded me even that it was my #1 choice. I have attempted to get there 4 previous times. Last attempt I was stopped when Norway closed its borders secondary to COVID 19.Now at age 63 I was told by my doctor that I have Cancer and to finish travel. My wife and I got to Norway and I used this app that I bought before Covid. I knew before it was dark that the “hotspot” was directly above us in costal Norway. 3 nights of spectacular sky shows. Buy the app!

Not great, I’d pass.. This app does not give great data or forecasting information

Great app, except the cloud calc.. You need to refactor the cloud coverage into the view ability algorithm. It’s 100% cloudy and the app push alert is saying I should be able to see Auroras. In app to its saying I have a 11-15% chance over the next 30 min. You’d expect an alert with chances greater than 55% or higher. These alerts get my hopes up and then let’s me down. (Aurora KP > 4) + ( Clouds < 60) + (Moon Phase && Location) = (Viewing Probability) Update: This still needs to be fixed.

Trickery. The Pro $1.99 version is no different from the free version. Save your money.

Complications Bad -- Apple Watch 4. You can't use this app with the upgraded Apple Watch 4 watch faces. Big disappointment.

This really works!. I was in Iceland, hoping to see aurora’s, but it was very overcast, and I was bummed after a week that I would never see anything. I found this app, and activated the alert system. I got an alarm, saying the odds were good, and I drove to the place they recommended. I saw one nearly instantly. I love this app, it saved my bucket list trip!! The next day, I used the cloud cover part of the app and waited for the KP numbers to peak, and I drove somewhere near me, guided by the app’s cloud cover map. I got to see one again before I left! Love it!!

Was great but. Close to this latest version there was some change on the reverse geolocation and the app can’t find some points in Canada (used to choose “Finns, MB” - now the app can’t find it anymore). It could have a fallback where the user could drop a pin on the map to choose as the custom location, but this feature is not yet implemented... can go back to 5 stars with few improvements

More info please. Our friend downloaded this app on her phone when we vacationed in Norway. It seemed pretty accurate in alerting when we could see the northern lights. I have heard people say the northern lights have been seen in Montana & Wyoming, so I bought the app. No luck in these parts so far. However, I like checking the app frequently. While much of the info on the app is self explanatory, there are some color codes or items I would like explained as to their indication. I may find I have been assuming wrongly all this time. Also, some of the fonts are very small, unable to allow zooming-in and I can only read them by looking through a magnifying glass. 🌌Still hoping for an alert telling me I can see them in my part of the world 😊

It’s ok. The % chance/probability of seeing the northern lights isn’t accurate. It says i have a 0% chance of see them at my location even though I’m watching them from my yard. The data is good in the other portions of the app. Easy to find what I’m looking for without searching my noaa bookmarks on my phone.

Best app available for auroras. Best app period

Fun to use. This is a great app! You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure this app out. Everything is is very intuitive. The Pro version is nice. It only costs a one time cost of a couple of bucks and you can share the app with one other user. One you understand the legends (every section has explanations) the graphs make sense. After using the app a few times, I had every thing down pat. Plus…… NO ADS!

Great app. While in the UP used the app and it gave us a heads up for a beautiful event with 20 min notice Would have missed it without the app

Hopeful of my first big show.. Aurora Pro looks like it will do the job. All I have to do now is hope that the Sun gets hmmm.…. Jiggy? Is that the right word? With sunspot minimum upon us, I might have to wait a bit.

Poor App. App doesn’t work well, shows calculating for hours at a time.

Great App. This is an awesome App to keep track of the aurora. I am planning a trip Iceland this year 2017 and using this app to track when the lights are visible.

App is MUST HAVE. This App is amazing. You get real-time updates on the aurora status. The “forecasts” can be really dicey as we saw ours when it was listed as “moderate” on the forecast. This app is the only reason we saw the Aurora. We got an alert specifically tailored to our exact location. I’m forever grateful for this app!!

Southern lights. It seams that other people are getting photos of southern lights even in my location but I can’t understand how this app works. Every time I look at the app it gives me a 0% but yet other people manage to get a photo of the lights. So either I am reading the info incorrectly or the app is messing me around. Be good if the app could explain how to use it so dummies like me who are first time gazers can use this app appropriately so as to not miss an opportunity. Thank Donna

What Happened to the Map?. Recent updates has really screwed up the map. Please bring it back to what it was.

Great Northern Lights app.. I use this app all the time. Living in Northern Alberta Canada. Aurora Borealis starts in Aug.

Map is messed up. The most recent update shows a very pixelated blown up satellite view. The old view was better

Clean and simple user oriented app. It is refreshing to see a Northern light app that keeps the info on a user level, instead of throwing a bunch numbers and graph that only a selection of scientists understand. Upcoming northernlight alerts/notifications are well done too. Just what you need, in a well package manner.

Unreliable. Says there’s a viewing opportunity when it’s still daylight outside. Oops

Cloud coverage forecast is bad. Cloud coverage forecast isn't correct .

Needs improvements. I will update this review later but for now all I will is that the app’s currently best viewing locations feature is probably not correct. Probably it lists the locations last reported by the users in the past. It doesn’t say the exact time and date of these reports Also, it would be nice to see the history of KP index based on the location.

False notifications. Has frequently notified me about clear Skies and possible Aurora when skies are completely overcast in my location. Yes my location is set properly.
