Great App. Has been spot on so my wife a I were able to see our very first Aurora.

Complications Bad -- Apple Watch 4. You can't use this app with the upgraded Apple Watch 4 watch faces. Big disappointment.

This really works!. I was in Iceland, hoping to see aurora’s, but it was very overcast, and I was bummed after a week that I would never see anything. I found this app, and activated the alert system. I got an alarm, saying the odds were good, and I drove to the place they recommended. I saw one nearly instantly. I love this app, it saved my bucket list trip!! The next day, I used the cloud cover part of the app and waited for the KP numbers to peak, and I drove somewhere near me, guided by the app’s cloud cover map. I got to see one again before I left! Love it!!

Great app, except the cloud calc.. You need to refactor the cloud coverage into the view ability algorithm. It’s 100% cloudy and the app push alert is saying I should be able to see Auroras. In app to its saying I have a 11-15% chance over the next 30 min. You’d expect an alert with chances greater than 55% or higher. These alerts get my hopes up and then let’s me down. (Aurora KP > 4) + ( Clouds < 60) + (Moon Phase && Location) = (Viewing Probability) Update: This still needs to be fixed.

Northern lights. Nothing is perfect when it comes to forecasting the northern lights, but this app does a great job of giving you a heads up!

Worth it. It works. I was in Delano national Park in Alaska and the app went off at 1am and told me I had a chance to see and I are did. Highlight of my Alaskan trip!

Perfect!. I’ve had this app for about 2 years now. I love it! It’s definitely work the paid version!!!

App is MUST HAVE. This App is amazing. You get real-time updates on the aurora status. The “forecasts” can be really dicey as we saw ours when it was listed as “moderate” on the forecast. This app is the only reason we saw the Aurora. We got an alert specifically tailored to our exact location. I’m forever grateful for this app!!

Wonderful Resource. I travel in the Canadian Northwest Territories in the winters. This app is a great resource for winter travelers like myself who enjoy watching the Aurora. If the lights are active it will tell you where and when you can or cannot see them - without fail. Really fun to use. Don’t travel to this area without the app.

Amazing app for the 2024 aurora spectacular. I guess everyone downloaded this app at the same time a few days ago. It was incredibly helpful to figure out when to go out and see the lights.

Way off base. So everyone around me is photographing auroras and uploading them to IG and this app says they’re no where near us

Great App. Great App, it helped me to see and capture the northern light for the first time.

Fun to use. This is a great app! You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure this app out. Everything is is very intuitive. The Pro version is nice. It only costs a one time cost of a couple of bucks and you can share the app with one other user. One you understand the legends (every section has explanations) the graphs make sense. After using the app a few times, I had every thing down pat. Plus…… NO ADS!

Best App For General Aurora Predictions and Notifications. Get up to the hour and twelve hour forecasts on your Apple Watch too

Poor App. App doesn’t work well, shows calculating for hours at a time.

Gulf of AMERICA?. I’m so, so disappointed in what was an otherwise wonderful app. Can’t believe you’d alter the map based off the ego of a narcissistic sociopath. It’s the Gulf of Mexico. Full stop. Update the map and I’ll update the review.

Clear useful information. The app works well to provide an easy to see location for the aurora.

Great app!. Along with compiling and condensing frequently updated data from multiple sources, it provides links to those sources (via the FAQ in the settings) for more detailed explanations of the data, how they are collected, and how to use them. I highly recommend the app for the Aurora-curious and encourage users to “buy (them) a cuppa” to help the developers continue to support such a fun app!

Always correct. The aurora map is extremely accurate. Sends notifications and they are correct!

Great App. This is an awesome App to keep track of the aurora. I am planning a trip Iceland this year 2017 and using this app to track when the lights are visible.

Love this app but notif issues and would like a widget. I really do love this app, although I would like to see more metrics available. This app, and many others, seem to be largely KPI-centered. I’m no expert, but it seems there are other (potentially better) indicators I’d love to see included at some point. I’d love really love a widget at some point, so I can add to my Home Screen and see if anything is going on or forecasted when I open my phone. But this would be a 4 star app if not for the notification issues. After a few days of not opening the app I notice that notifications will completely stop. I have checked my device settings and my app settings, and it does not seem to be fixable here. Would love a solution to this so that if there is no activity for a few days, notifs continue when there is activity.

❤️. I absolutely love this app. I use it in tandem with a few others to track the northern lights and solar activity. I love how it’s easy to use. I love the live streaming cameras. It gives me a chance to see the beautiful lights every night, until I can leave this death trap of a state Virginia and move out of this country

Wonderful app. Has all the information needed to be prepared for aurora viewing. Plus get to see beautiful auroras on web cams all over the world.

It’s ok. The % chance/probability of seeing the northern lights isn’t accurate. It says i have a 0% chance of see them at my location even though I’m watching them from my yard. The data is good in the other portions of the app. Easy to find what I’m looking for without searching my noaa bookmarks on my phone.

Quality App. Used this app during Iceland vacation, and it’s alerts we’re right on the money

Accurate. I bought the pro version last weekend for an up coming trip. I adjusted the settings to my liking. I was alerted just before 2:00am on Sept 12th that an Aurora sighting was expected in my area. I went outside and found the most amazing display of colors that went on for 2-1/2 hours. I’m very happy with this app.

More info please. Our friend downloaded this app on her phone when we vacationed in Norway. It seemed pretty accurate in alerting when we could see the northern lights. I have heard people say the northern lights have been seen in Montana & Wyoming, so I bought the app. No luck in these parts so far. However, I like checking the app frequently. While much of the info on the app is self explanatory, there are some color codes or items I would like explained as to their indication. I may find I have been assuming wrongly all this time. Also, some of the fonts are very small, unable to allow zooming-in and I can only read them by looking through a magnifying glass. 🌌Still hoping for an alert telling me I can see them in my part of the world 😊

Hopeful of my first big show.. Aurora Pro looks like it will do the job. All I have to do now is hope that the Sun gets hmmm.…. Jiggy? Is that the right word? With sunspot minimum upon us, I might have to wait a bit.

A must for aurora sighting!. Thanks to the real-time notifications from the app, I was able to experience a phenomenal display of dancing auroras right in front my resort in Ivalo, Finland on February 4, 2020!! Thank you Jake!!!

Southern lights. It seams that other people are getting photos of southern lights even in my location but I can’t understand how this app works. Every time I look at the app it gives me a 0% but yet other people manage to get a photo of the lights. So either I am reading the info incorrectly or the app is messing me around. Be good if the app could explain how to use it so dummies like me who are first time gazers can use this app appropriately so as to not miss an opportunity. Thank Donna

Great app and recommend but would love more. I think this app is great and is one if not the best app for getting accurate information. It also is regularly updated as well for, example has critical alerts feature. But I have some wishes for the app. I am not interest in the gallery and yours feature so I would love a way to configure the bar and be able to hide theses. I would also love more to also have some G scale data even just a screenshot from SWPC of the latest observations would be enough . Having the forecast images in the app from the SWPC is also nice but a video would be nicer. I also like how you have included the experiment forecasts from the SWPC and as soon as they realised sourthen hemisphere ones, (if they every do) I would love to seem them to seem them in the app as well. The page was a bit hard to find in the top left so maybe a little pop up showing you it’s there would be nice too. Some of these ideas on my wish list like the customisation of the bar and the G scale could just be one the pro app to further separate them the apps. Overall all amazing app well done and nice work for keeping the price low.

Never miss an opportunity now. I love the cloud cover map to know whether it’s worth getting out of bed :)

Doesn’t work. The app forecasts 100 percent cloud cover and yet skies are clear and local weather forecast is also for clear skies which means I can’t trust any of the apps data. Too bad.

What Happened to the Map?. Recent updates has really screwed up the map. Please bring it back to what it was.

False notifications. Has frequently notified me about clear Skies and possible Aurora when skies are completely overcast in my location. Yes my location is set properly.

Map is messed up. The most recent update shows a very pixelated blown up satellite view. The old view was better

Clean and simple user oriented app. It is refreshing to see a Northern light app that keeps the info on a user level, instead of throwing a bunch numbers and graph that only a selection of scientists understand. Upcoming northernlight alerts/notifications are well done too. Just what you need, in a well package manner.

Absolutely great App!. I really do love this app. I use it all the time. However, I would like a little more information under the sun portion showing what kind of photographs are being taken with what kind of lens

Needs improvements. I will update this review later but for now all I will is that the app’s currently best viewing locations feature is probably not correct. Probably it lists the locations last reported by the users in the past. It doesn’t say the exact time and date of these reports Also, it would be nice to see the history of KP index based on the location.

Great Northern Lights app.. I use this app all the time. Living in Northern Alberta Canada. Aurora Borealis starts in Aug.

Accurate predictions. The predictions for Canada area is pretty accurate. I have been able to follow the app’s predictions to find auroras
