Remote acreage. I own farm acreage 150 miles from where I live. It’s impossible to rely on a traditional rain gauge. RainDrop enables me to monitor rainfall without being there.

Extremely helpful. We use this to monitor rainfall on our property which is 2 hours away. It saves us driving there only to get our RV stuck in mud!

Great app. Useful for tracking how much water has real fallen in the areas of interest. Use it to help conserve water. This intern has decreased my water bill. No more guessing and lawn still looks good.

Has Been Accurate. I’ve been checking Raindrop vs my rain gauge and to my astonishment, it’s been accurate. I had been using apps that were more of a wild guess so now I suggest the Raindrop app to all my contemporaries.

Reliable rain gauge. Finally a reasonable, reliable on-line rain gauge. With multiple fields located 20 miles apart over 60 sq miles, it’s essential to our harvest schedule. Thank you for the program others want an exorbitant monthly fee to utilize.

Bait and switch. When I downloaded RainDrop a few weeks ago, you were allowed to have three rain gauges in the free version. This morning when I opened the app there was a notification that the free version now only allowed two gauges. Fine, I get it, you’re trying to get subscribers, but taking away features doesn’t make users want to suddenly shell out $40-50/year. If anything it disincentivizes it. Add features that make the free users want to upgrade. Carrot vs. stick. I’m not deleting it, but I am certainly not paying to get the data I previously had access to. And now the chances of me upgrading are next to zero.

Review. For 15 years I have lived on a south Mississippi Coastal River with substantial tidal flows and high flood potential from upstream rain. This app contains by far the most accurate and timely information available. Plus the tech support and responses to questions are always quick and accurate. Great product, great support, if just obtaining a single site information all free. Thank you Raindrop. John L Noble

Love it, haven’t had it on my phone but maybe couple weeks, it’s right on with my rain gauge on the deck, when was researching for a good app this one got high reviews, they were right far as I’ve seen so far, and I don’t think I will be surprised. I don’t wish to do the weather station thing, but I wanted a good rain app. I like high tech stuff and premium tech devices. This app pleases me I’m already showing friends etc. and bragging on it. Interesting. Great to see rain gauge's in other cities. Interesting to see rain gauge rainfall not only at home however also compare at hometown too.

Great for mountain biking!. Know where you can ride! I have a gauge programmed for all the trails in my region. I can see at a glance which trail systems are likely to still be rideable, and which are likely to be too muddy.

Super helpful app. I’ve been using this application for over a year now to keep track of the rainfall at our local mountain bike trails to give me a much better chance of knowing the status of those trails. This app has been very helpful.

Farm Necessity. We are a farm family with farms spread over quite a few miles. If we need to check the rainfall amounts at a farm, we just have to look on Raindrop. This saves us time and money! Thank you!

Raindrop. I found raindrop during the heavy rains and found it very useful to follow the rain amounts at home and in our second home.

Well Designed. Any time we get precipitation I go to this app so I can see how much, and it quickly and easily gives me just the information I want!

Great For Our Industry!. We love the app for it’s accuracy! In the Storm Water Compliance industry, it’s very vital to know what rain amounts are happening on all of our sites, and this app delivers! It’s off from time to time (not much), but that’s pretty good figuring we have hundreds of sites! We still use our standard rain gauges, but this app is helpful in determining what sites we should focus on and what we can put on the back-burner. It’s been very nice to have an assistant keeping track of it all!

Always works for me.. Reliable app but most importantly great customer service. He’s always listening for how to make it better.

Not completely accurate but gives a general idea. I like the app as a broad idea, but it isn’t completely accurate. We have had 3.9 inches of rain (verified by 2 different styles of rain gauges) in the last 24 hours but the app is only reporting 3.3 inches. My parents had 0.7 inches the other night but the app only registered 0.2 inches. I like that you can pinpoint locations on the map to watch though.

Super helpful!. App is really helpful in determining specific rainfalls—and in our area it is amazing the rain differences just miles apart. We personally use it in lieu of a rain gauge. It’s also been known to settle some family disputes about who got how much rain.

Pin drop. I love this app - but I was going to make a mention to this. Is there a way you can move the pin in your map? (Potential edit) and rearrange it or relocate it) without deleting it and stuff ? I’ve shared this app with several farmer friends of mine that have also shared this. If you need a rural SC contact to advertise this app -please let me know - i would love to boast your app ( we are free farmers so we rely on rain) just as much as row crop farmers do. Thanks !!!

Not even close to accurate!. I tried to look to see how much more rain we got today and it says zero. Well that’s not accurate since I was outside IN THE RAIN today. It also says no rain yesterday and claims 1.6 inches so far for April. According to other outlets we had over 3 inches of rain by April 3rd. It was all over the news and my basement has water. Clearly not a very good record. I would never waste my money to upgrade. This app is not even close!

Best app for local rainfall. The app is simple..and accurate .. gives me rainfall in my exact location. Other sites will give you data from a local ( or almost local) airport that often is not accurate for your location..

Raindrop works! Easy and convenient.. I’m always looking for a way to get local precipitation amounts, and Raindrops is the app I turn to first. Once I identify my location, I can get total rainfall over the last 24 hours with one button push—opening the app. With a few other taps, I can see total precip over 72 hours, MTD, or YTD, and it is quite accurate when compared to other weather stations near me. The elegance is in its simplicity.

Homeowner. This app is amazing and extremely accurate. I never have to mess with rain gauges or replace worn or broken gauges. I’ve recommended this app to all my family and friends. Thank you.

Great App. I’ve only had this app a couple of weeks, but so far it’s doing quite well. I normally don’t rate apps til I’ve had them for a while, but the customer service here has been fantastic. I had a couple of questions, and Rylan answered them very quickly. I had a couple more questions, and right back he came with answers. As long as you realize this app is a general indication of the amount of rainfall in your area, I believe you’ll be satisfied. Remember, it can rain several inches across the fence, and you won’t get a drop. Keep that in your mind when you use this app and you should be happy. Update: This app just keeps getting better and better. Rylan has been working hard to make improvements. You won’t go wrong with this app.

Amazing simple app. This app has been so helpful for my landscaping business. I can track precipitation on multiple properties almost in real time which really helps us plan maintenance.

Perfect. I have often looked for information on rainfall, but it is difficult to find on weather apps and even on government websites. This app very quickly shows history for 12 hrs, 24 hrs, week, month and YTD and also compares to average. This is exactly what I have been looking for and it is very easy to use!

Accuracy. This app is very accurate and easy to setup and use. I measured 2 5/8” in my rain gauge and the app was showing 2.5” son about an 1/8” difference and that’s close enough for me. I do recommend this app!!

Two very different numbers for the same address. My husband’s Rain Drop app consistently reports higher readings than mine. We live in the same house! Today, for example, my outside rain gauge has 2.1”. Husband’s app says 2” and mine says 1.2”. That’s a huge difference!

Raindrop Accuracy !!!. I’ve got a Tempest weather station on my house and I have been comparing rain drop with tempest. Its amazing how close they are !!! Rain drop is awesome !!!!

No info. After entering my location, I’ve pressed & held in various parts of the screen (including the dot indicating my location and the typed address). When I can get it to display any readings at all it tells me 0.0” of precipitation at all timeframes, which I know to be inaccurate. If there is no measurement available in my area, tell me that - and offer to inform me if it becomes available in the future. It’s frustrating to be given basically nothing.

Exactly what I was looking for. Up to date rain accumulation and seems very accurate. Wundermap app just kept getting worse and worse, although the website is fine. This was quick and easy, no frills, just rainfall totals, perfect.

Simple.. I’ve had this app for less than 30 minutes and it explains for itself. It’s exactly what I need for my farm as I have many locations that the rain totals need to be kept up on. Whether you want to know how much it rained in your backyard or how much it rained afar off, this simple and easy-to-use app will let you know.

Inconsistent. It does well most of the time but it abruptly makes illogical adjustments. For example, my daughter lives along the Gulf coast where heavy rain and flooding occurred in the last three days. I know she had just over 10” of rain in that time, and this gauge reported clise to accurate at 9.81. This morning it shows .06 for the month. I’ll keep looking

On top of things. I really appreciate being able to look at rainfall amounts at any time day or night. We have field in a 20 mile radius and it just isn't feasible to drive around to see this. Very handy easy to read

Absolutely Fanulous. This app is great. My farmer husband loves it. But everyone who sees it is super impressed.

Good Potential, Not Accurate Yet. My father and I were really interested in this app, we decided to do some testing before paying to add more locations. We set up multiple physical rain gauges (of different brands to be able to verify consistency) in multiple locations, one group in our farmyard, and a few other groups in our fields. We have been in a very wet weather system the past 2-3 days, and the app is off by, on average, 2" of rain under what the physical gauges are reading in 72 hrs. Great idea, would love to be able to use it as a tool on the farm, but it’s just not accurate enough. Will have to stick to physical gauges and checking weather stations across multiple platforms for now.

Deleting this app. I decided to download this app to keep track of rain amounts if I was away from home. Unfortunately, the app is consistently off on its totals by 20 to 25 percent. Not worth my time. I will just check the two gauges in the back yard and call it good.

Dependable rainfall app. The app provide daily, plus additional amounts of time, with dependable precipitation measurements for different areas. Cost is very reasonable.

Nice App. I have been looking for an app to show rain totals, both current and in the past. This is it. Seems to be spot on for the totals right here, not just in the region.

Homer. I enjoy the immediate updates on rain amounts but a couple of days ago it just sprinkled a few drops at my house but within a half mile it rained very hard. My RainDrop gauge showed .22 when it only sprinkled here. What went wrong?

Don’t waste your money. Ease of use and features are nice. With that being said it is completely inaccurate every rainfall in every location that I have set up. Totals are so far off that you can only say that you got rain in an area. Terrible accuracy and a waste of money.

Doesn’t replace rain gauges. Great idea and design but isn’t accurate. I farm and have 15 rain drop locations and it’s a guess at best. It rain about .2 over a large portion of the county and it didn’t register anything. There are free apps that will give you guesses like this one.

Was good til it wasn’t. I loved this app when I first downloaded it earlier in 2024. I don’t know what happened but it’s 100% inaccurate now. I sat here tonight specifically and watched the radar and the rain pouring down for 30 straight minutes and it said 0.00 rainfall…..not the first time it’s done it either. So disappointed. Deleted the app.

Expensive for free information. Useless unless you spend $50 or more a year. And all the app does is take you to subscriptions page. Can’t even try it to see if you like. And I will not sign up without trial. Even free. You still end up paying even if you cancel

Accurate measurements. I’ve had this app for a few months now, and have compared it against a rain gauge in my yard. It’s remarkable at how accurate the app is.

Great tool. This App is this/close to showing exactly what my plastic rain gauge shows. Very good to know and have history of rain amounts for gardening

El Cajon , CA. Downloaded this app when our local source was “missing” data. It rained across our county for most of that day and night. RainDrop app showed zero rain for that period!! TV reports showed .10” to .67 inch throughout San Diego county. We watched it rain most of that day and night. RainDrop app still says 0.00” over that May 3 to May 4 period. Indeed it shows zero rain for over 31 days. Pretty useless.

Not accurate & support provides little to no help. We recently had a rain that produced rain amounts of 3.4” to 6.2” and the app only shows 0.99” to 2.14”. I contacted support for help correcting the amounts. I even provided proof from the weather service. Rain Drop’s support admitted that the app is close but not always accurate. Why pay for a product that doesn’t work all the time?

Accurate. Amazing app. In a small town, rainfall totals are discussed as breaking news. This app is accurate compared to other reports from traditional rain gauges.

Stop bugging me. As a new user, I have a difficult time attempting to access my rain data due to the fact that the web page constantly asks me to purchase a plan. Don’t advertise the app as being free if it keeps demanding a paid subscription.

Too expensive for casual user, misleading description. Starts out acting like a free app but once it wastes a few minutes of your time it stalls out as a pay per subscription and free trial requires your credit card number. You can do better if it’s not for professional use where payment is justified.
