MyRadar Accurate Weather Radar App Description & Overview

What is myradar accurate weather radar app? Thanks to everyone for making MyRadar so successful, with over 50 million downloads!

MyRadar is a fast, powerful, easy-to-use weather app that displays animated weather radar around your current location and to quickly show what weather is coming your way. Just start the app; your location pops up with animated live radar, with radar loop lengths of up to two hours. This basic functionality provides the quickest way to get a snapshot of the weather on-the-go, and it's what has made MyRadar so successful over the years. Check your phone and get an instant assessment of the weather that will impact your day.

One of the most useful features in MyRadar is the ability to provide advanced rain alerts; our patent-pending process for predicting hyper-local rainfall is the most accurate in the industry. Instead of having to check the app all the time, MyRadar will send you an alert up to an hour in advance as to when the rain will arrive at your current location, down to the minute, including details on intensity and duration. These alerts can be a life saver when you're on-the-go and don't always have time to check the weather - our systems will proactively do the work for you and let you know in advance before the rain hits.

In addition to the live radar, MyRadar has an ever-increasing list of weather and environmentally-related data layers that you can overlay on top of the map; our animated winds layer shows a breathtaking visual representation of both surface winds and winds at the jetstream level; the frontal boundaries layer shows high and low pressure systems as well as frontal boundaries themselves; the earthquakes layer is a great way to stay on top of the latest reports on seismic activity, completely customizable as to severity and time; our hurricane layer allows users to stay on top of the latest tropical storm and hurricane activity throughout the world; the aviation layer overlays AIRMETs, SIGMETs and other aviation-related data, including the ability to track flights and display their IFR flight plans and paths, and the "wildfires" layer allows users to stay abreast of the latest fire activity around the United States.

MyRadar also has the ability to send weather and environmental alerts, including alerts from the National Weather Service, such as Tornado and Severe Weather alerts. A new feature introduced in this version of MyRadar includes the ability to receive alerts based off of Tropical Storm and Hurricane activity; you can configure the app to send you an alert any time a tropical storm or hurricane forms, or is upgraded or downgraded.

In addition to the free features of the app, additional upgrades are available, including real-time hurricane tracking - great for the start of hurricane season. The hurricane tracker provides additional data above and beyond the free version, including the cone of probability for tropical storm/hurricane forecast tracks, and it also includes a detailed synopsis from the National Hurricane Center. The premium upgrades also include the professional radar pack, which allows greater detail of radar from individual stations. Users can select individual radar stations around the US, select the radar tilt angle, and also change the radar product being displayed, including base reflectivity and wind velocity - great for experienced weather buffs looks to stay on top of possible tornado formation.

MyRadar Accurate Weather Radar Comments & Reviews 2026

Just What I’ve Been Looking For. I have been accessing weather sites through the browser on my phone because it seemed to be the best way to get thorough, accurate, free information. I found many of the weather apps fell short, especially with the added fees. With tornado weather picking up, I wanted to see if there was an app that would have all these great weather resources in one place. I downloaded this app about a week ago based on mostly stellar reviews, and it has far exceeded my expectations. Just the base app itself is exceptional. I was impressed with how many features are included for free and with minimal ads. I love all of the options for layers and how detailed the settings are. The graphics are stunning and run flawlessly on my iPhone XS. Although I was perfectly satisfied with the base app, today I paid the $9.99 to start my yearly subscription because there were a number of premium features I was interested in. I especially love having access to NEXRAD level II radar data without having to open up my computer or struggle with a webpage not formatted for mobile viewing. It has only been a week but I am thoroughly impressed an have no complaints thus far.

MyRadar stays!. I shorted MyRadar 1 star because it is not simple to use although I am very satisfied with the way it handles layers of information quickly and that part was easy to figure out. Still have no clue how to choose from where the right hand panel in the main window reports great information (just have not taken the time to ferret that out. The ads are not intrusive, which allows me a bit of time to actually look at them instead of trying to clear them out of my viewed content as fast as possible. I like it and use it every day at least once if not more. It stunned me once by announcing rain at my location about 2 minutes before it started raining. If I lived in tornado or hurricane country, I would definitely have it. I am in the Canadian smoke right now. It helps to be able to see where the smoke is worse so I do not travel there. It also reports wildfires, not real well, but is another source from which to get quick info, which I do need (I use 4 other sources as well and still cannot find out enough info about wildfires in my local, which are frequent; please, someone, figure out how to get nearly accurate local wildfire info out to people in one app or website, maybe something like “wildfire wiki” staffed by volunteers).

Where did the good app go??. Open the app and see the local radar…Boom! Swipe left or right through my favorite locations and see the radar for those places…Boom! That’s what used to happen. Simple, perfect; I couldn’t ask for much more. Now I don’t see the radar. I see the data instead. Then I can’t slide the panel up for several seconds, and when I finally can I am greeted by the radar for the entire western hemisphere. What is up?? This app no longer does what I need to do quickly and efficiently, the reason I installed it a long time ago in the first place. Swiping from one favorite location to the next Is no longer reliable, either doing nothing or including places that I’ve never heard of and did not mark. When I tell it to locate me, I get a dot at my location on a map of the entire western hemisphere, and then zooming in doesn’t happen smoothly and I end up in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico, after which I have to zoom back out and then try to zoom back in. I don’t see any reason to keep this app any longer. And when this app is in the foreground my phone begins to heat up; and I just went through the battery replacement thing so I don’t want to toast my new battery.

App Store Nominee for MUST Have. In these crazy times that we are living in. Climate patterns and extreme weather seem to only be becoming all too norm. “The new normal” as the politicians will say. Climate change, micro climates, wildfire seasons, hurricanes, droughts, earthquakes, atmospheric rivers, you name it. This app is honestly the tool everyone needs from the air quality where your at to the other basics like precipitation( rain, thunderstorms lightning strikes snow) and humidity to wind (speed, direction, tornadoes and tropical storms to hurricane tracking. It also offers data on earthquakes and wildfires as they are all developing. The software is so easy your local news forecaster can soon be out of a job and this app is was more accurate that the standard iOS weather app that has failed often. But there’s so much more you can track satellites and their paths over, flight paths, and the map screen has filters you choose to display from fronts winds temps air quality and it works all over the world and in lightning Speed so if your away from home and don’t want to get caught in bad weather this app could save your trip if not life.

My Radar. I check this app frequently because it’s very reliable and I like that it moves so you can gauge the track of a storm. I often send my friends screen shots of the weather over them because for whatever reason they still haven’t gotten this app. Why ladies? It’s so convenient to have. I walk everyday and like to check this app before venturing out. Plus it pin points your location so you can readily see at a glance where you are in relation to oncoming weather. Good to know if you’re flying what to expect. I like to monitor hurricanes because I have sisters who live on the East Atlantic Coast and the West Coast of Florida and you have access to the entire world’s weather if you care to check. Living in the heart of Ohio we get all kinds of weather and I can see when it’s coming or going to track south or if I’m going to get clobbered with severe weather or light rain. As a gardener I consult the app daily to gauge my watering needs. I can zoom out to see where fronts are located and know in advance if severe weather is headed my way. You also get the temperature at your current location. It’s just so practical to have. And there are no ads. Maybe an unobtrusive banner on the bottom. It’s the greatest app. You should definitely get it! One of my faves!

5 Stars for capability, but not for average joe.. This is an absolutely beautiful app, with some great functionality that makes it a superior replacement for the decommissioned dark sky. But there are two drawbacks that merit a docking of a star each. The first is pricing. And that gets a “are you kidding me?” I like to support the apps I use, and I’m always happy to be ad free, and that’s a great business model to offer that for a fee in my opinion. But there’s no way a weather app gets fifteen bucks a year forever. Unless maybe I lived in weather Armageddon. This app is beautiful enough that I might think hard about that amount one time, but eight bucks one time would be a shoe in, then come back with some significant variation if you want more. I might do an annual at eight bucks. A weather app is a mass market, high volume sale for a convenience or “once in a while” app. Just my two bits, but there’s no way this is viable. And no, I’m not enabling tracking instead. Second is the weather map drag to relocate functionality. Because there’s a drop down top of screen menu for detailed info, I am constantly accidentally dragging my location when I don’t intend to. I bet this UI element eliminates 90% of the population over 50 from the market audience, as most of us don’t accommodate toward that type of interface obstacle.

Almost perfect. This is a really good app for people who check the weather a lot. The only problem is that the presentation is not as simple as it could be and so there is a learning curve for using it. But once you've suffered through that for about a week it's really quite good. Pro's: it provides nice graphs so that you can see trends over time, and, of course, radar views so that you can see geographical trends. When compared to two other apps that I use, it seems to be on the more accurate side. Neg's: it's difficult to get a quick answer to the question "What % chance that it's going to rain when I plan to do such and such today?" I know it's a difficult question but it's extremely practical so it's best answered with a time trend line. Yes, you can get that, but you have to do several swipes and dig down a bit. The widgets don't seem to work all the time (at least for me) - that would be the best place to provide that answer but I haven't figured out how to do that (if it's even possible). Next best would be to have the option for it to show up in the summary at the top of the main view (that shows the temperature trend line, and minimally useful cloud icons). It is a good sign that the app recently came out with a travel feature, which I'm looking forward to testing. In summary, I'm liking it a lot so far but still getting used to it.

‘My Radar’ is the best radar app you’ll find!. I used to love NOAA weather radar, but they changed the formatting in their display graphics and to put it nicely took a great product and made it bad! So I went looking for an app to replace what I had lost.... I tried the Weather Channels app and found it left a lot to be desired as well. Plus the ad push across the app was over bearing, so much so to point it actually became a literal nuisance and quiet annoying. A couple of friends of mine and I were talking about a recent and upcoming storm event. It was during this conversation that a friend suggested my radar. He showed me a quick view of the application GUI, it looked like what I had been searching for in that it it appeared to be simple and direct. That evening I downloaded the app and went through its settings and layers and found it was an absolute perfect fit. I especially like the ‘classic’ display mode along with the lightning strike indicator option. Kudos to the apps developers! ❤️😎

Apple Watch Necessity. I use this on my apple watch every day, it is better than the apple weather app in my opinion because of three things. 1, it has a map of your area as well as a forecast written out in english instead of just symbols and numbers, if you like the simplicity of symbols and numbers, that is still available too! 2, on the watch face, with both apps you get the current temperature, as well as the high and the low. one extra very important symbol is the current weather, a rainy storm cloud or a shining sun, pretty helpful to check without ever opening the app on your watch/phone. 3, the layout design is a little easier to read, apples watch weather app shows a circle dial and is very weird to read if you aren’t used to it. MyRadar has an easy to read linear scroll that isn’t very hard to read, you just scroll down hour by hour, plus you get to use the little dial on the side of your watch! 4, i will be honest, apple weather has MyRadar beat on the watch in one category, weather for multiple cities. on MyRadar, you can check multiple cities on your phone, but not your watch. anyway overall i think MyRadar is a better corner widget than apples weather at least on the watch. 5/5

I have used My Radar for 6 years. I originally purchased this app 6 years ago. I needed a reliable radar source that I could use at my place of work. At that time I superintended bulk cargo loading operations onto ships for export. The cargo was weather sensitive. We could not load cargo in the rain. When you have a gang of very expensive Longshore labor standing by for weather, it was critical to be able to reference MyRadar to look for windows of dry weather so we could load. This app gave me the ability to see when weather was coming and going. I was able to ready the gang prior to the dry windows, so I could maximize my loading windows. Needless to say, this app is accurate in my experience and it helped save a lot of money in gang standby time. Customers were also happy to sail their vessels earlier than expected in many cases. I still regularly use and rely on MyRadar in my retirement years, for camping, anticipating when to come in from sitting in my backyard. I love the “layers” options. I feel this puts them above other radar apps.

Love BUT. Miss the OLD WIDGET that had and could expand. Lots of Apps have multiple Widget Layouts/Views w/ diff features/info….could MyRadar do a Similar thing; as the small square widget is ok, miss the old full sized expandable widget that INCLUDED IMPORTANT INFO LOOKED AT MANY TIMES THROUGHOUT THE DAY/NITE. Have been using this App since moved to FL over 10 yrs ago. It’s great! The hurricane tracker is excellent & love watching Leslie...(more on this later). Here is where the BUT comes in. With every update we get, granted, the app “DOES” improve.....like the new global feature (something had at start, but went away. Now it’s back), along w/ some other cool features. What isn’t great is loading times. On the new iPad Pro 11” this app “feels” slow & loads slower each update that’s pushed out. I’m worried when iOS 13 hits....what will happen! Also, know Leslie can’t be in every weather report....needs a life, but she’s the face of the App, the person that helped us through hurricane after hurricane when couldn’t get any other information....KEEP that in mind, & keep her put & happy! The newish Fast Forecast isn’t as catchy as old one... All in all, get the app more responsive like used to be, less crashing & will change stars back to 5/5. Until than...dinged you 1.5 stars. Sorry....want it awesome like used to be! My score= 3.5/5

Great fee app, great paid app. I switched over to this app after Weather Underground’s “Storm” radar app was obsoleted and replaced by the terrible sequel by The Weather Channel. Immediately, I appreciated all the layers that this app has, and the customization that it’s capable of. I also like that while you can get a “basic” paid functionality (do it! Even if you don’t mind the ads, support people who make quality apps!), you can upgrade different bits of functionality a la carte, as you need them. For example, while I’m a private pilot, I’m not actively flying currently. But if I DO get back into it, the aviation charts functionality is built into the app, for an annual subscription (which makes sense, since av charts update and need to be kept current). Excellent, excellent app. The only suggestion that comes to mind is to enhance the functionality of the “storm center” feature so that the center moves with the time-lapse. Currently, it is stationary, and stays in the position it is in the latest radar frame, as the radar time lapse “catches up” to it.

Great, but needs symbology clarification. I have used this app for a few years and regularly refer to it. I live in an area of rapid weather change, am a pilot, and in an higher-education aviation program. I’m constantly studying the sky. Knowing what is happening and being able to look at the map and see all the different factors is important to me. I use the ad free version because the ads were NOT child friendly; I could not use it as a tool to explain/teach my young children because of the ads. I really like the paid version; my favorite features are all the different layers, timeline graph for pressure and temperature, the short forecast synopsis, and being able to isolate one weather factor in the forecast table. My one complaint with this version is the troughs, drylines, squalls, and ridges are all the same orange dashed line. Each of these have their own standard meteorology symbology as they all indicate different surface conditions. This confuses me and causes me to refer to other surface maps from other providers to give insight into what was not clearly shown here. Hence this is a four star ap. I would love to see the correct symbology added to the ap.

Great Radar App. I’ve tried six or seven weather/radar apps and My Radar is the best one for my purposes. Most apps give you the weather when you open them, and then you have to find the radar button. I like the radar on screen when I open the app. All weather reports are an average of weather for your area. Even My Radar will notify my that it will begin raining in 12 minutes. But when I check the radar the rain cell is moving just north of me, so no rain at my location. I also like that the radar always on, I don’t have to start it or restart it. The layers feature is excellent with easy access so I can turn on temperature, wind speed, clouds, fronts, earthquakes, warnings and watches, aviation layers, and several more. You can choose the type of map with the features that suit you, and you can adjust the radar features for speed, timing and opacity. This is truly a radar app that includes excellent weather information. Also enjoy seeing the weather radar anywhere in the world just by moving the map. Highly recommended.

Was my go to radar app. I delayed updating this app for a long time because it was my go to app for radar. It uses to have less than a five minute delay and the classic setting allowed for accurate prediction of rain in your locations, as well as direction of storm movement. Other family members had the newer version and it just wasn't as accurate as the original version I had. Now that I had to update, I am disappointed. The blur of the HD layering isn't clear if actual rain is going to fall or if it is upper atmosphere clutter. Plus the delay is now ten minutes or more. The new graphics on the road view are much larger and clearer, but when there is a storm coming they block how you can view the storm movement on the app. I also kiss the directional cones for severe thunderstorms. The new version has the warnings layer, but the previous version had directional cones to see where the storm was heading in relation to your location and if you were within the cone of the cell. And when working outside a lot, the older features were valuable tools. I am still going to use this app because I haven't found one as good as this one.

OOPS! Now my radar works again!. Recently, I wrote a critical review complaining that this app had become so bloated with extra features that the basic radar feature stopped working. After a week of not receiving any acknowledgement of my support request, I sent an email to corporate that got a response. However, none of the suggestions that were offered to me worked, and the developers never responded to the diagnostic file that they requested and which I provided. I gave up, deleted the app, but then re-installed it after I learned of a new update. But the radar still would not load. In preparing to send another request for help, I discovered the problem! My iPad was set to the wrong time zone (London) as a result of a recent trip. Once the time zone agreed with my physical location, the radar layer displayed properly. I still believe that the app is becoming bloated, and I’ve learned that support is often difficult to reach, but this app deserves more than the one-star that I previously gave it. If they are able to improve support by offering faster responses and a knowledge base, it will be a 5-star app. Until then, I’m changing my 1-star review to a 4-star review.

My go-to radar app. UPDATE: Widget doesn't work most of the time. Says "couldn't obtain forecast". Open the app and the forecast is there. Dropping a star for unreliable behavior which renders the feature useless. ----- I’ve been using this app for at least 6 or 7 years. In the mean time, I started using Windy and ForeFlight, both good apps that include the same radar data as this one. When I’m on the ground and looking for the wet stuff, I ALWAYS open MyRadar first. I can’t help it. It just works so why change my habit. I will say that recently, the data can be slow to load, freezing the app while I wait. My network speeds haven’t changed, nor have I added users or devices that might add more traffic. When it happens it takes about 15 seconds to break free, as opposed to the normal ~5 seconds when it works ok. Not the end of the world, but still 3x slower. Either way, I still open this app first. Wish the subscription model didn’t exist because that’s the only reason I haven’t upgraded for more features.

Incredible app. Hello. I just wanted to take the time to write a feedback note to you. For years I’ve searched for a fantastic radar app. I’ve bounced between weatherbug, weather channel, weather underground, noaa, dark sky, carrot weather, and storm shield. I’ve even paid $9.99 per month for radarscope. I’ve been dissatisfied with all of them. Each have one or two shortcomings that force me to use multiple apps. One has a good enough radar while another has a better forecast graph, while another has better notifications etc. I must say.... this my radar app is simply incredible. The radar is amazing. Notifications work perfectly. It has fantastic precipitation graphs. It has many options for layers and radar add ons. Just a simply incredible app. Absolutely well done!!!! Never stop developing this app!!! It’s absolutely needed!!! I’d pay $10 per month for this app. It’s nearly perfect!!! I do have 1 small critique/ask. Could you possibly give users the option to remove the crosshairs on the middle of the screen? For me personally it’s a bit annoying. Otherwise, incredible job guys. Wow

Ye were a good app, until ye weren’t.. I’ve used this app for years on at least 3 iPhone upgrades. I paid for app upgrades and relied on its accuracy. Recommended it to my friends. After the most recent upgrade (adding reporting for Australia), the app crashed EVERY time I opened it from a Home Screen alert. After tolerating this bad behavior for a week or so, I decided to delete the app and reinstall it, thinking it might have become corrupted and a fresh copy would work. Well, that was a bad idea! The top panels for local and favorite locations disappeared and radar animations look like giant colored squares, larger than pixels. The app is unusable. I sent a tech report a few days ago and had no response. Tried to create an account, thinking they might pay attention to me if I’m an account holder, but account setup doesn’t work. If I were spiteful, I’d give the app one star. Because it was very good when it worked, I’m allowing 2 more stars. But now that it doesn’t work and the developer doesn’t seem to care, I’m deleting it and looking for another app. It was fun while it lasted.

Best Radar App!. I have been using this app for years, and only this weather app, no others. The reason is: reliability, accuracy, pinpoint location, (it moves with me from my house to everywhere I go via my iPad without doing a thing), and most importantly the weather alerts. I love getting the drop downs that tell me when it’s going to rain and whether it will be light, heavy or moderate, and for how long, and it is ALWAYS spot on. Very useful to me. The most important alert for my area is tornadic activity, which alerts me whether or not I am on my iPad. It serves as a great weather radio! The alert sound is loud, and living alone and not having a basement, it lets me know whether or not I need to take shelter. I am so happy that you added the world now instead of just the US. I can see exactly what the weather is like in Norway where my brother lives. I also can let my mother and sister, who both live in other parts of the state, whether or not they need to take shelter. I have actually done it and it is a lifesaver. I love the options available for which alerts you would like to get. When the wildfires are happening, I always turn that on so I can keep track of my relatives in California/Nevada, etc. Thank you and keep up the great work! AMAZING app. Tried all the others. No comparison.

Never had anything like this! I depend on it for all weather!. Hi! Me and my family have been using MyRadar for as long as i can remember. I am a huge weather and aviation enthusiast, and i love all the unique features! It is truly just perfect :) I love the Mars feature and looking at the little satellite robot things. One thing i do want to point out, though, is that i cannot see watches/ warnings for countries other than Australia and the USA. Now i am sure there is a good reason behind this, but i would like to be able to see those watches and warnings for other countries. I have learned to recognize all the colors of watches and warnings, and i am always on the app. I strive to work at the NWS some day, and i feel like MyRadar helps me to learn and just have fun. I always report to my family about what i see, and it’s super interesting. The Aviation feature, is beyond amazing! I’ll check the routes i’m flying before i do and i just think it’s cool. It’s interesting to look at all of the restrictions or AIRMETS or IFR or ICE or anything. It’s super interesting. All the features, such as earthquakes, fires, temperatures, power outages, etc, even down to clouds, just adds all that to the experience. I have yet to find an app i enjoy as much as MyRadar. Truly Amazing, I recommended to everyone! It’s easy to read and not confusing :)

Great Weather Tool!. Aside from being an amazing world wide weather app with as much info as you could ever ask for, this app is like no other weather app I’ve ever seen when it comes to predicting immediate local weather and warning when the rain is 10-20 minutes out and headed your way. As a construction worker it has literally helped me work until the last second. I wait for the rain warning to come and then I start to wrap up the job and clean up the tools. It works perfectly accurately with this every single time. I use this feature at home to and it helps remind me to put things away outside just before the rain comes. I can’t say enough good things about this app and there are so many more features that I haven’t even used yet! I’ve been using this app since 2011. Telling you when the rain is about to come down in your area and then when it will clear up has been the coolest thing I’ve ever seen come out of a weather company.

A few complaints. This is a good app, so I pay for the premium features. There are a few things that are irritating, however. First, I cannot seem to log into customer support. It asks for me email address and password. I’ve never created an “account” with MyRadar, so I don’t have a password. Should I use my Apple account p’word? Nope, doesn’t work. So I entered my email address and hit the “reset password” button. It says an email is being sent, but it never comes. So instead of contacting customer support in the app, here I am doing it in a “review.” I wish there was some way to get rid of the grid box at the lower right corner (ipad, landscape) that covers up the 5-day forecast. The 3 lines on that box are: UV index, which basically says the sun shines during daylight hours; temperature, which is already shown on the daily display above it; and barometric pressure, which I don’t care about because I’m not a pilot. So how can I get rid of that graph and display the 5-day forecast under it, which I AM interested in? How about long-pressing the box to pop up an option to hide it? Or a slider on the settings menu to turn it off (or on, for the folks who need a graph to tell them they can only get a sunburn when the sun is shining)? Thanks.

Weather Changes Things:. All my friends said, you should return home to Groton at least and cut your vacation short at Block Island, because the TV weather man said that there is thumder storm coming up from the southwest and it’s gonna be a mess out there. Well I was concerned so I opened up my app and I checked the true track of the storm right on my phone. It was a little cloudy this morning, but the storm missed us and stayed against the mainland and if I had returned to Groton I would have sat in rhe rain most of the night and all morning. Instead I went to the beach, walked around the town and eat lunch out on the upper patio over looking the New Harbor. The weathermen up here in the Long Island sound area don’t always get the weather right, it most likely because they’re reading from a script that was published lord knows when, but being able to watch the storm track using your app proves very valuable. Weather changes things out on the ocean.

If 10 stars were possible this App would get it!. First off, out of the hundreds of Apps I have downloaded and used, I have only taken the time to review one and that was on a popup prompt to do so. This review I am writing without being prompted. This App is that good. I have downloaded several other “top” weather Apps of which many want monthly subscriptions for basic functions. This App blows them all out of the water or maybe I should say the weather. It is so easy to use and extremely intuitive. I breezed around it setting up my notifications, views, and generally orientating myself. Visually it's incredible and provides a myriad of choices concerning appearance (so many layers available) and alerts. Speaking of alerts, there are numerous choices that are easily customizable. There is even one for major earthquakes. Living in California, I left that alert on. The interactive portion of the App is flawless on my iPad air. There is a global view, which I find simply amazing. So far this App has not only exceeded my expectations but has set the bar for other apps to follow. Hats off to the developer for a stand-up job. To those reading this review, don't just take my word for it. Download it now and check it out for yourself. It is free and you would be doing a disservice to yourself if you didn't.

Broken iPad Layout. I saw you guys fixed the issue when rotating on iPad, the map won’t have a black bar on the side and vice versa but I see you guys didn’t fix another issue that was present (at least for me) and that is the weather for cast icon. When pressed and device stood upright the weather forecast is on the top in a weird position where it’s a small box and not brought down to the length of the whole screen (meaning even though it’s a small box I still have to scroll which is a waste the iPad’s screen real estate if intentional) and it gets more broken when put in landscape mode WITH the forecast still showing a small box and not on the side as it usually would be for landscape mode. Vice versa when launched in landscape and rotated to upright, it’s still a broken menu. I also suggest moving the ads somewhere else so that it doesn’t take so much room on the top as it also breaks the layout even more. The app is good but layout and rotating device interactions are broken (not to a point where it’s unusable but to a point where it just looks straight up bad as a menu) but other than that the app is really good been using it for years in all my devices and the alerts are always super helpful! If the devs are reading this, just please fix the iPad layout or just redesign it as a whole.

Still not Dark Sky. I don’t understand what is difficult about copying the glory that was Dark Sky, but this isn’t it. For being a radar app, the most annoying thing is that the radar has no predictive value! It only shows me the radar of the last few hours. I already know if rained or snowed on me, no thanks to you! Also, Dark Sky would show you approximately when the precipitation would start on any given day, so you could still make plans in the morning if you knew it was going to rain later. Not so with this app! Sure it’ll show you if it’s going to rain that day and if it’ll be in the next 90 minutes, but that’s it. Furthermore, where I live I get rain, snow, sleet and everything in between. It won’t tell you any of that under the precipitation tab; just one or the other. So today, I had .25 inches freezing rain and two inches of snow, but it’ll only said 1-2 inches of snow. That’s not accurate of the conditions at all. In short, this app is okay, but it’s not Dark Sky- not by a mile, even if you upgrade. 😭

One of my go to apps on a weekly basis!. I use my radar on a weekly basis. Surprisingly, I use it when I travel and all over the world as well. I use it at home in miami to help me decide what to do about rain storms and hurricanes and even wind patterns and I use it when I travel to help me plan how to dress and what to expcect in terms of weather patterns during the day. As an example, I’ve been using it on a trip to the Greek island this fall to track the rainfall and also to track a rare “hurricane” in the Mediterranean that is currently affecting my vacation plans in eastern Sicily. I have been amazed by its accuracy and am so thankful that this app exists. Seriously, I couldn’t live without it. It is so much better than the weather forecasters and so much more accurate than the weather app on your phone as the weather app can’t see bands of rain like this. You can even zoom in from where you are to other places in the world if you are going to be flying there and want to get a sense of what is happening in you respected destination. This app is truly priceless! Don’t think about it. Just download it now! (Not a paid advertisement- actual user)!

Best weather app ever!. I love this app because it gives me real time warnings about the weather. I live in the desert where we rarely get rain, but when we do it is often dangerous. Flash floods and lightning events happen a few days a year and they are scary and require for us to shelter in place for the 30 minutes to an hour it takes for the rain to pass. With this app I get advanced warning and I can see the direction the rain is going so that I know how long it will be until it’s safe to move around. This is especially helpful if I’m in my car and I’m waiting on high ground for the storm to pass. I recommend this app to everyone I know, especially when they post pictures of them trapped on the highway because a storm drain is overflowed and cars are under water. Meanwhile, I saw the warning and went straight home before the storm began and used my time to get my sandbags set up. This app has saved my property and maybe even my life!

Blown away by all the info this app provides 🤯. Living in Florida I’m always checking the weather for my daily planning, preparing for possible hurricanes or a simple weekend getaway. This app everything and has even thrown in the kitchen sink, well that last part not really but it truly is a wealth of information at your fingertips. If you want to know where an earthquake happened, it’s there. If you want to know where a forest fire is raging, it’s there. If you want to know the current pollen count, air quality, UV Index, Heat warnings, ect, ect, ect. IT’S THERE! I saw this app on a previous friends phone and immediately had to download this app. It is by far, from my experience, hands down the best weather app you can use. I love it so much I purchased the ad free version. The amount of time, work, resources that these guys put together was definitely worth it. It is so beneficial. Try it out I think you’ll be amazed and blown away by all its powerful features. I don’t write reviews very often, especially positive ones but this app deserved my feedback and time.

Greatest Weather app. This is by far to me the greatest weather app. Unlike what you get by your phones default apps. I love how this app is purely about weather and as someone who loves meteorology; this app is a gem. I can track Hurricanes quite well and I’ve used that to avoid bad ones like recent Helena. And you can use screenshots to warn others of bad storms coming in. The colors make it easy to tell heavy rain from light showers. And while I don’t always get notifications about incoming rain you do have the occasions it’ll warn you based off your location that a shower is coming. But being able to see the globe in paper form and see the weather happening in real time across the world is so cool, this app has never let me down. But I do think it is best for a flagship phone. When. Used in my old A35 Samsung it lagged a lot I guess due to the amount of information your CPU has to sort and organize. But on my 15 pro max it runs like knife through butter. Night and day difference in how the apps work. So bear that in mind. But it’s the best app for weather for those who love meteorology like I do.

My favorite app!. I’m a lover of skies, weather and being out of doors. As an organizer of an outdoor adventure group of active retirees, My Radar is perfect for helping me plan and to know when it’s safe to be out on the trails and water. Thanks to using My Radar, many times while out kayaking we have known to cut our paddle short and head back to safety when we see that a sudden storm has popped up and is coming our way. We also have had times where we could see on My Radar that the storm’s path would skirt past us so have been able to stay out enjoying instead of retreating. As a former middle school teacher when taking 7th graders on a Cape Cod hike we were able to show the students why they really did need to don their rain gear as a soaking deluge was destined to hit in a few minutes. When planning to fly somewhere, or just curious, I can see the weather, in most places, all over the world! I really appreciate and love My Radar and I highly recommend it to everyone!

Collects and sells your driving information to your Insurance Company. Why is MyRadar, a weather app, collecting my driving data and selling it to Arity, a company within Allstate that prices insurance rates based on driving data? Deleting app. The Developer is now coming in and saying they don’t do this but when you read their privacy policy it says “ 4.3.2 In addition to other information described in this policy, if you have chosen to enable the MyRoutes functionality we may collect (or permit Arity to collect) and share your personal information, include precise location, trip location, driving event data, (such as speed, change in speed and other aspects of how, how much, where and when you drive) and other information with Arity 875, LLC ("Arity"), which provides driving analytics services to enable us to provide certain functionalities, such as driving event history, predicted commute information and commute advice based on current weather conditions. Arity may also use this information for personalized advertising on our properties and elsewhere, to build segments and audiences, to perform various anonymous profiling activities, as well as developing its risk predictive models for its own analytics purposes”

MyRadar. MyRadar is a great app for keeping up to date on your local weather without having to pay a subscription fee. The free version of the app has loads of features and gives you everything you need to keep up to date on local meteorology, you can even scroll around and look at other areas and their weather if you have relatives out of state and check what’s going on around them. The subscription is great for if you want more detailed radars and updates weather conditions around you and on storms potentially coming into your area. Overall this app does everything you need it to do and more if necessary, if you have your notifications on it’ll even notify you about immediate updates to your weather and from my experience it will tell you when rain or storms are coming 10 to 15 minutes in advance and be right on the money while doing so. Definitely recommend for when you’re on the go and can’t watch the news for updates

Used to be the best. I’ve had this app for several years probably 5+ and it used to be insanely accurate in every way, radar, forcast, future radar, etc but for the last year or two if you pay attention to the forcast and the future radar and screen record them then compare it like 30 mins later for the ‘future radar’ to the ‘current/live radar’ and ‘current future radar’ or compare the old forecast to the new one even a few hours later regardless of if you’re looking at the same day forcast or the whole week you’ll get massive changes with each of them and it’s never accurate. It’s regularly off by more than 10 degrees Fahrenheit even within 24 hours and rain chances will go from zero to 50% and then go to 10% then 60% etc basically you cannot trust the forecast to be even remotely accurate at all anymore and it’s been getting worse and worse and I just don’t get it because again it used to be like 98% accurate and I could trust it and plan accordingly but now for the last year or so it’s INACCURATE at least 70% of the time and every single day for the last month it’s been so far off for me that it’s ruined every single plan I’ve made that was weather dependent so I don’t know what’s up but I’m done with it

Superior Hi-Def Radar Imaging. This app has superior radar imaging. I usually turn on the wind stream indicators at low opacity to help me see how storms might track. You can store various geographical locations and swipe to any of them and the radar map will become centered at that location. The radar animation can be over 10 minutes behind the current time. I have seen it fall behind by 12 minutes. It’s always at least 5 minutes behind. So, hopefully, future versions might concentrate on more recent animations. Also, the only way that I can get the animation to load an update is to quit the app and restart it. Otherwise, the animation timer just gets stuck saying, “Loading.” Also, there is only detailed textual forecasts of Today and Tomorrow. Many times the precipitation percentages reported in the textual forecasts are significantly different from the hourly percentages. And I can’t determine what the Lock icon does in selected local report pulldowns. Great eye candy app, but needs more frequent radar updates and more days in the extended forecast.

My Radar. I’ve lived in Ga. since getting out of the military and every year when the seasons change from winter to summer and from summer to fall we have tornados, back in 1973 we lost our home to a tornado, back then we didn’t have anything like My Radar, nowadays we have all kind of warnings, T.V. Radio, and weather programs on computers, I pads, and cell phones; I’ve tried a lot of different weather radars and I always come back to My Radar , it’s the best one I’ve tried, The screens are clear the clouds are different colors and it tells you when there is a possibility of severe weather. My Radar can be set up to each persons preference, it is also available for pilots and can be setup that way, it’s just an all around great weather program. The program can be set up to send weather notices to a smart phone or from your computer to your I-pad. This program beats all off the others hands down. Try it and you will see for your self, James D. Athens, Ga.

Pornographic and disgusting ads that won’t stop. I have used this app for years and have loved it. The notifications are quick during storms and the radar is accurate and user friendly. I’ve always accepted the Ads banner on the bottom of the radar and just shrugged them off since they were mostly clothes, vacation stuff, etc. Sometimes there were questionable ads featuring girls looking to call or text but I just closed them and wouldn’t see them that often. But over the last three months I have gotten an unacceptable amount of pornographic and disgusting ads in this ad banner instead, featuring half naked people, sex toys, and the like. I keep closing the ad and selecting “this ad is inappropriate” but the exact same ad keeps popping back up every time I open the app again. It has the logo Temu on the bottom of the ad if the developers want to know which advertiser from Google Ads is featuring these disgusting ads. Honestly I just deleted the app after loyally using it for years. I can’t take the gross ads anymore. I’m fine with ads, just not this depravity. This has been an ongoing issue that other users have complained about as well. Will be moving on to using my web browser with ad blockers for Accuweather radar instead.

Good but needs accuracy fix. I've used this app for about a year on several IOS devices. I like the simplicity to quickly see the radar and incoming weather without a lot of navigating, and also easily zoom in or out. I have found however that many times the radar overlay is not accurate with the location of the actual precipitation on the map. Today for example, the map accurately showed my location but the radar indicated heavy rain over me when it actually was about a mile away from my observations. So, until this is corrected the app is useful as a general view of what might be approaching but not accurate to a precise level. Also, I've noticed that the precipitation levels on the map are somewhat exaggerated over what is actually occurring. Overall, it's useful if you want a simple view of the radar and some other basic functions. Update 3/3/20: I was hopeful for improvements in the new update, it has a new icon and title page, but same issues exist. Accuracy is off- radar shows rain at my house and it’s not doing anything. Notifications are not reliable, they stop working after a while even with background app refresh enabled. Disappointed.

Great app, zero support.. As a paid subscriber to hurricane tracking for several years now, I was really disappointed to discover there is zero support from the contact section of the app when things go wrong. If not for the lack of support I would rate this app with 5 stars. In the off chance something does go wrong, I suggest deleting the app and then reinstalling. If you are a paid subscriber and have more than one device with the app, delete it from all devices, reboot device then reinstall one at a time making sure all is correct before going to next device. That is what finally worked for me. Grant you, had support actually returned an email or responded to a ticket, that is probably what they would have told me to do. It’s very discouraging to know that even now after 5 weeks of several requests for help behind me, there has still been no response to that issue from radar support team. With me sending screenshots of the major problem for them to see at the time, I really expected a prompt reply. (crickets)

Best Radar App on the App Store!. I’ve used this app for over a year now and can say it is so much more accurate than any other weather app I’ve donoaded or bought! Even “The Weather Channel” which you can’t trust at all!! I got sick and tired of every app saying, “80 percent chance e of rain”. Then you check an hour later…. Psych!!! Now it’s 5 percent lol. This apps never done this. If anything it will adjust 5 percent. And when it says rain will begin at 7:53, Rain begins from 7:52-7:54. The storm location on radar is accurate and accurately demonstrates the density and power of the storm. I love it so much because I love weather itself, and this app will show you regular winds, jet streams winds, and low pressure fronts. (Always looking for those low pressures when you live in Texas). There was 1 time I had to reinstall the app. My phone glitched or something and I couldn’t use the forecast bar. But other than that have had no issues what so ever. 10/10 recommend

Best weather app out there, professionals and hobbyists alike!. I have tried basically every weather app out there, and MyRadar has always remained my #1. I’ve had the app for years and am just now reviewing because I’ve finally determined it is indeed the best (free or paid; it wins either way!) Even just the free version of MyRadar provides you with SO MANY great features that other apps don’t, but its paid version offers some really cool features for us weather nerds out there 🤓. This app’s best pros that outdo the others: 1) smoothness and quality of the radar (no awkward, choppy pauses or blank spots like most apps); 2) incredibly accurate rain alerts down to the minute (if it says light rain starting in 7 minutes, light rain will start in 7 min; I care for horses and this app is great for alerting me I need to bring them in with enough time before a big rain hits - it is literally never wrong); and 3) overall multi-day forecasting accuracy (if the rain graph shows a lot of rain in 5 days, it almost always does; great for planning events and trips). The only thing it doesn’t have that many other apps do is a future radar predictor, but honestly those are rarely accurate anyways. It’s just as easy to watch their past and live radar and make your own predictions. Plus the future rain alerts basically do the same thing for you. Overall, 10/10 if you love weather or need to monitor it with high accuracy for your job (farmer, grounds crews, etc.).

Thank you. It seems life has become so fast paced and hectic for most of us that we communicate mostly to complain and express our frustration with the “things” in our life, or complain about life itself. We often forget to be thankful for the things we actually have, and most importantly to those that work hard behind the scenes to make those good things possible. So I’m writing this review as a user of your radar program for the past several years, just to say Thank You! I truly appreciate all the work that goes into making, improving and maintaining this program. There are some that would say is not perfect for this or the other reason, but perfection is hardly ever achieved in life, and the definition of perfection is usually in the eye of the beholder. For me, living in an area of the country with sudden, often unpredictable and dangerous weather (as in thunderstorms and tornadoes) I can say your program has kept me and my family out of harms way many times. Perfect? Perhaps not in some users minds. But for me has been a life saver (LITERALLY) more than once in this many years. So once more, thank you for all you do. I appreciate your help in keeping me and my family safe from the elements.

When beauty enhances accuracy. There’s lots to be said for simplicity. This app delivers clear, dynamic, and beautiful radar images quickly. Moreover, the images provided appear to provide (in my opinion) a better indication as to how a storm is developing and moving. I’m able to look out from 7600ft to the south and west from the southern Sangre de Christos, taking in a thousand square miles of view shed and storms up to 100 miles away. I can watch individual storm cells developing and compare them to what I see on my screens. I’ve tried dozens of other apps and when it really matters I’ll always revert to the raw NEXRAD feed, toggling between clutter on & off when making important go/no go decisions for travel in remote areas. But this is the radar app I keep coming back to. I wish I understood why it’s better. It may be due to the fact it includes some of the info in a “clutter included” nexrad image without including too much of the noise. It also smooths out gaps in the radar image caused by inversions, dust, etc. Nice work, MyRadar developers!

Why, I choose this app, is the rating that good for real?. Continues to get better update days ago. You can drop in live on storm chasers. A serious consideration for pre-flight risk and safety planning. Yes, those who like accurate and detailed information, such as radar maps, temperature, wind etc it's all there. Also for those who simply like to hear what their weather forecast. You push a button and get that information from their own friendly and accurate meteorologists. You can also easily send a loop of the current radar. For instance, to family friends or co-workers how quickly a storm is moving into an area. The list of features goes on and on. Important Note: For any app it's best if maintained as well. (Just updated again days ago) Look at the history of version updates. You will see that the My Radar is regularly maintained and/or improved regularly. Since I purchased the app it's only gotten better and better, so yes, five stars!

Old Radar Loop, 60% accurate, crashes etc. The “live radar” loop runs 2 hours ~20 mins past time. The will rain or storm times graph & time feature is wrong 60% of the time. I have my home marked with a star ( it only allows me to 1 star location tho) Worst is it gives me weather, alerts & warnings for a town 15 + miles away, in a different county that gets different weather & warnings. Ugh. When we were traveling and hit bad weather it was a worthless app. It kept kicking me back home 400+miles then kept crashing all cause I was trying to pull weather from my current location. It started draining my battery, freezing, unavailable data, crashing. If I’m home in my marked Location the app never freezes, crashes, etc. My husband uses a NOAA app (free) and I thought I was downloading the same one he has. No this one is horrible compared to the one he uses. The one he uses gives him current road conditions/warnings/accidents/ radar etc as he’s traveling and actually shows the town we live closest to (3 miles) correct county & he has locations (stars) marked all over the place. The (free) NOAA app he uses didn’t have a melt down when we were out of town or traveling and worked great.. I’m uninstalling this app and looking for the app my husband uses..Idk why so many different NOAA apps are available but lessons learned they are not all equal. The one he uses offers upgrades but the free version works good & has adds just like this one.

THIS APP SELL YOUR LOCATION TO 3RD PARTIES. I loved MyRadar it was so well designed helped me figure out if I should stay inside & wait 5 minutes to stay dry or go out side & bite the bullet on getting wet. It was Truly a wonderful app, which is why it blows my mind that they decided to SELL THEIR USER’S LOCATION TO DATA MONETIZATION COMPANIES MAKE A LITTLE EXTRA MONEY. I understand apps need to make money I get that, but selling my & every other users’ location to make money is unethical. One might so “oh everyone sells your data what’s the big deal” all of it to me is immoral but this app goes above and beyond the levels of immortality by selling “both precise location and other sensitive customer data to data monetization companies "at all times, constantly" sometimes without customers being aware of the location data collection. The information is used for purposes like creating databases for ad targeting.” Even if this app pledges to stop selling my CURRENT LOCATION I won’t re-download, how can I trust them? If there were any staff who worked on this app & didn’t know about this I’m sorry that this is impacting you. But to the screwup leadership that made the decision to SELL OUR CURRENT LOCATION I’m glad that this story is finally out in the open. Nobody will trust you now.

CarPlay addition is sooooo welcome, but…. Thanks to the developers who found a way to navigate the minefield of requirements to get this fine app into the CarPlay environment. I realize that Apple strictly enforces a “no video or animation“ rule on CarPlay apps, but Radar without animation is like watching sports exclusively with still photographs. But that said, this is still better than nothing for being aware of precipitation along my driving route. Perhaps in lieu of animation, My Radar could include the option to show storm path markers and times? Or maybe even allow animation as long as the vehicle is not moving? This would be so helpful in understanding the approaching weather into a destination. Are storm watch/warning boxes enabled ? I have not seen them if they are. Also, please include more city markers as zooming in occurs. Major metro areas consist of many towns, not just one or two. On the whole, this is a pretty great general radar app, and for the CarPlay addition, I am quite grateful that it’s finally here. Keep the improvements coming!

I Miss the Old Storm app!!. Is there a way to see the future radar like the old Storm app? Is that in the premium packet because my radar ends 10 mins before the actual time & I want to know the forecast radar for the next hour. Also, if I press on a fire icon & read about it, when I go bk to the map, the time on the animation slider becomes 8 hours off. I don’t think the actual radar changes. I only know that I have to close & reopen the app to get the time back to ending 10 minutes before the actual time. This makes me wonder if I can trust the accuracy of this app. Plus, it’s been raining here nonstop for 6 hours but the radar shows periods of no rain. It’s also really annoying when the slightest tap or zooming in on the map will start changing the cities up above because of the crosshairs. And when I swipe left, or right to scroll through my favorite cities, nothing happens- it won’t scroll through the cities even though the stars are highlighted. I miss being able to zoom in & see exactly where it’s going to be raining & being able to chose between 1 hour or 5 hours in the future & clicking on the storm cells & find out the speed & the danger associated with each one, as I could in the old Storm app. It truly was the best weather app out there! I will change my 2 star rating if I can find the future radar.

A terrific app that needs to be fixed after a recent update damaged it.. This is a wonderful app that I have been using for many years on multiple devices. And although there have been a few snafus here and there after an update or two it’s usually quickly rectified. Unfortunately an update that occurred roughly 7 to 10 days ago has changed how the map is displayed. Many of the towns and cities that used to be displayed even in a non-zoomed mode are gone, and the roads/highways are like looking at tree branches on a moonlit night. And if you zoom in the radar images get quite blocky looking. Was hoping the update that came out today would fix these problems but it hasn’t. And even though I have written the developer a few times I have not received a response so I thought maybe writing a review might get someone’s attention. Normally I would give this app five stars but until this problem is fixed I can only give it three stars. I still recommend it, I just hope that this problem is addressed and fixed soon. Thanks for reading, have a great day! 🙂

B Hall. I have only had this for a few days and with this uncertain weather this has been so informative with running my small country business. Bill Hall

Weather radar. Very good service

Very handy. Good to have a real time rain radar app like this.

My Radar. This is a great app. Accurate and so full of up to date information. Highly recommend this app. Love it.

Benefits of My Radar. A very useful tool for farming. Faster and as accurate as BOM. Easier to access. Quite accurate.

A great app that gives good detail. I have recently added this app to my weather app collection. I am impressed with the resolution it offers and the place name details on the underlying base map are better than on other competing radar coverages. Well worth getting !

My radar predictions. The banner info that runs across mob. screen is so accurate! Thx

The best. The most accurate weather app ever it was also tracking cyclone Alfred which really helped Thank you

Predict the future. Can you please work on predicting the subsequent 15-30 mins and direction of the weather?

Great graphics, but…. Very nice app to look at, and the weather information is as accurate as anywhere else, but for Melbourne, Australia, the app has a hard time rendering its radar data and consistently leaves radial rain shadows across much of the city. Unusable as such.

My Radar. Great little app , seems to be fairly correct and on point , i use another app for weather but i find this to be more accurate… well worth putting on your phone

Awesome. Very happy With this app-like how it let you know when it’s going to rain -

Accurate. This has to be the best weather app sends a warning on storms & hail let’s you know when the rain starts & finish I love this app & the best thing is it is spot on every time

Rick Sexton. Simple , user friendly app great notifications

My radar. Like the warnings it gives, and also very close to prediction

GIVES HELPFUL RAIN NOTICES !!!. This app is awesome in the fact that it provides you several minutes warning before it rains!! This app provides you with the ability to plan around the oncoming rain. Often times I will receive a message saying; “oncoming rain in next 20 minutes, stopping in the next hour” upon receivable of this, I will immediately plan to move washing out of the open or prepare my rain coat pre drenching! Great app to have in the background with notifications on.

My Radar keeps me informed.. I like this weather app because it gives me updates when it’s necessary to know of a weather change ie that it’s going to rain heavily in 20 minutes etc. it’s accurate and convenient. Like the colours too.

Great early warning system. This great app warns me of oncoming rain in time to take required actions protecting items outdoors

Warning Notifications. My day to day app doesn’t give me the best notifications. However I think the developer of this app should look at some of the functionality of Willie Weather. On saying this I use three apps for weather, because it is critical to my work and mistakes would be costly. None so far! Great work and with appreciation. 🇦🇺🙏

Good app. I find this to be very accurate especially the messages

Good Job!!. Had other weather radar apps… this one so far beats them all

Excellent weather and radar app. I like this app because it gives all the info I need — rain radar, chart showing possibility of rain, temperature, and forecast temperatures — all on one page.

Apple CarPlay Suggestion. I absolutely love this app, but I think that it would be 10x better if you could also use directions on the CarPlay version, so that way you could see the rain and ur directions at the same time. Other than that, this app is so helpful and has been my go to weather app for nearly 3 years.

Radar. Very clear and simple to use, love the zoom If the Star ratting was 10 I would give it a 10

Brilliant. Fabulous app, so easy to use and love using it. Well done guys!!!

Love It. Such a great App. Radar so clear to read . Love the notifications re when going to rain

Excellent. Very easy to understand, accurate. Really like the advance notification of rain and how heavy and approximate duration. 👍🏻👍🏻

Beneficial & acceptable accuracy. Use it for Melbourne, Australia. Good radar images. The advanced warning of rain is valuable. It may give some false alarms, usually for light showers. But I’d rather that than not getting the alerts.

Top notch app this.... I do love this app but when are you guys bring out the widgets? Your 5th star is waiting.

Simply the best. This has to be the best weather app available on the market. I have tested out the app over the past three weeks and have found it’s array of forecasting tools second to none. Well done.

The accurate app. Always spot on with the weather. The early notifications make it easy to plan your day.

Very detailed and accurate. Very detailed and accurate but would love to have the choice to add a widget to the Home Screen

What happened ?. When i downloaded this about a month ago and it worked well, but now everyday I get light rain warnings and most of the time it’s a clear sky.

Great app. All the warnings and alerts have been pretty spot on.. thank you guys

Timely warnings - goof for washing. The ap is quite accurate though doesn’t always give more than a few minutes notice. A few false alarms, but over six months I have found this ap useful.

Reliable weather updates. I have multiple projects across Australia and require immediate updates as to current and incoming weather forecasts. This works for me

Beats the BOM radar.. The only radar app I know that gives information in real time.

Next Level. Cut above all other radar & weather apps. The interface, top notch. All relevant information provided. The ability to overlay other weather systems without overloading/congesting the page with too much information. It’s ace

Wind. This app is good but I wish it would tell me wind speed

The best short term weather app. This app warns me without fail, when a rain storm will hit my location - without fail. I rely on it especially for picnics as well as hanging out our washing or racing out to take it in 15 minutes before a rain squall starts.

Very accurate warnings of rain. I like the almost real-time weather radar which also shows the intensity of the rain and the direction of rain events.

Pretty Good. Better features than some other weather apps, but focus is rain radar. Can zoom out to global radar(!), gives notifications of impending weather events. Not as feature rich as some others (no prediction graphics - BOM).

Excellent App. This is the best weather map I have used

Great app. Great app use it for work all the time very reliable

One of the best. 10/10 By far the best weather app

My Radar. This is a very handy app. I particularly like the warnings of rain about to start and then tells how long it should last.

Could be happier if you got it right decision. I would like to say that you are 60% about your warning so showers in 20 minutes or rain in 20 minutes you’re very sadly wrong there I love the way you do it but I love the way it happens and everything like that you’ve got a really good out here but try to get it right that’s more important the app is good you got that part right just get the red weather right I know it’s hard but try to get it right and then I love you

Precise notifications. I’m really enjoying this app. It gives me precise notifications like Rain in 20 minutes. This allows me to grab the dog and get a walk in before the rain arrives and has been very accurate to far. Am recommending it to all.

The Rain God. This app has me in stitches. Every time I get a notification that it’s about to rain it’s been blue skies🤣😂 Three stars for the laugh👍

Excellent App. For those of us who have several weather Apps already this is a real standout. Pity the likes of BOM can’t enhance their information like this

My radar. Excellent app use it all the time

Doesn’t show any future info. The info stops at my current time. Making it useless

Best Radar app. The colour and resolution of the precipitation graphic is very concise. The time lapse function is useful for prediction of timing and amounts of precipitation. Layers are easy to use for customization of the view. The only layer missing is the jet stream path.

Love my radar. No surprises if you have my radar app you can see storms before they happen and you can plan your day around the weather

Best weather app keeps getting better. Skiing, hiking, sailing, cycling; they all share the same thing, the great outdoors. And to stay safe, you need up to the minute weather information. This app provides all of the information you need to stay safe outdoors. The app was good 5 years ago. But today it is just better. Faster, more reliable, easier to use.

My Radar. Works good I m happy with the app

Stop commercials.. The radar info is great. The commercial adds need to be stopped.

Excellent weather app. When you can’t figure out what the weather is going to do , check this app out. Watch the weather come in, no doubt what’s going on or when.

Spies and hikes insurance!. Don’t get this app! The app spies on you and sends the data to Arity a data broker that sends the data linked to you to your car insurance! Sink this app!

Keeps crashing. Idk why it randomly keeps crashing

Super Layer Options. I especially appreciate the wildfire and air quality mapping. Those are becoming ever more important!

Confidence while travelling. A retired Navy Air traffic controller (Air craft carrier) informed me of this excellent App while I camped at The Charlotte Motor Speedway RV Park during a period of periodic rain. This App gave me confidence on when to travel (as I don’t like driving my RV in the heavy rain)....

MyRadar in Carplay. needs track-up orientation in Carplay while driving

Nice and accurate. Has the title say it? It’s a nice inaccurate little app I like it.

Great app!. Excellent tracking!!! Love the app!!!

Great prognosticator!!. The only thing I would like to see is a longer window for the radar. It seems too short when a system is rolling in and trying to get a good look at what is coming.

Safety. This app will be a great help on my motorcycle trips. I’ll know when to pull over or change directions. It will help keep me safer. Thank you!

Is there an iPhone widget for this?. This is what’s missing.

Better than most. Has more to offer without foolish topics that have nothing to do with weather

Great value!. Excellent app. Features added quickly. It’s my go to app for local weather and accurate right to the minute. Well worth the cost.

Was great until…. It was a great app until in the middle of a drive somewhere all of a sudden decided I couldn’t have the navigation anymore. I’ve been using this app for well over a year and now I can’t navigate up to about. Through the drive, I was actually getting the radar on there and then all of a sudden it just stopped letting me use the drive so that just defeated the whole purpose for me didn’t mind the ads but I’m not paying for it when there’s a bunch of other apps out there.

Not working in Canada. Have always liked the App, just loaded it on my new 2018 iPad and clouds and precipitation does not show. Old iPad worked fine.

Detailed. Excellent imagery. Very accurate. I use this often when I go on a long motorcycle tour and helps keep an eye on the changing weather conditions.

Super Useful at home and on the road. Warns when rain, thunderstorms or tornadoes are approaching and when they will arrive

Detailed weather app. Very comprehensive

Woke app. Just look at the weather map when most of it is super RED to make you believe in global warming… pathetic..

Great Visuals. It’s great to anticipate the cloud coverage and potential rain as a motorcyclist. I use it every time when I am concerned about timing of travel.

Sooo accurate!. Best weather app. Very accurate!

It’s good. The only thing I think should be added is if there’s a tornado, I think it should say like it should be clear like what the different colours mean if like red means tornado and pink means bad storm or whatever

Use this all the time. This is such a great app to keep up to date on where weather currently is. This gives you a good idea as to when or how much time you have before weather starts to move in

Love it!. Love it!

excellent coverage. Amazing APP !!

Amazing application!. It is my favourite weather application so far. It’s astonishingly precise. The graphics are awesome simple and well defined. The radar in itself is very accurate and you can clearly see what kind of clouds you have overhead. The only fear I’ve got is I’m afraid that one day at one update they will change something since everything is perfect as it is right now. ——— Jusqu’à présent my rider est mon application météo préférée.

Don’t get wet anymore. My radar shows up pop up showers so accurately that I avoid getting wet when I have to go out .. as for other weather forecasts , it’s up to the minute reporting .. helps with severe summer storms moving in .. I’m a weather buff but my radar shows earth quakes and hurricanes in the moment .. I really enjoy my radar

Five Star App. Great App… lots of features and very intuitive - easy to navigate.

Trust the Radar. Takes 10 seconds to see how close the precipitation is

Sean citywide landscaping. Seems to be the most reliable weather I have used , winter forcast is very important to be accurate and I always rely on this app i am in the snow business and my radar is the mist helpful and accurate rada as its live based on past to real tim. If your not using it you should be. Sean citywide landscaping 👌

#crazyfunnycats66. Best weather radar app ever! Using this for years now. 6/5 rating! Thanks dudes! You Rock!✨❤️🐯✨🇨🇦✨👍

Hamster. Hamza

Love this app!. Use this app all the time. My go to for radar any time the weather looks like rain.

Fast and graphic. This is my favourite mobile weather radar yet!

Local Temperature. It is great to have local temperatures & changing storm conditions & weather warnings!

Awesome app. Enjoying this great app just perfect.

THANK YOU MY RADAR. Best app ever. The day I got it I saw clouds and it told me it was a rain cloud five star ⭐️

Best weather app so far. This weather app is amazing. Intuitive and easy to use. Only downside is the price - at $40 CAD per year it’s a bit steep. The max I would be willing to pay is $25 Canadian per year.

Very Helpful. Check this App offer to stay in the know

Historical Data. The only radar data available is 2 hours and 10 mins behind real time. Sooo…why?

Great Work. Great work on this program.. Kudos

Vital app. This is a “must have” app with climate change. Our home which had few weather issues turned into “tornado alley” with the weather shifts and without RADAR telling us when storms were about to hit us, our local weather service was useless. They’d send us a cellphone warning AFTER this app did. For me, I can’t live without this clear information. We can even see the wind flows blowing storms on us or past us.

Best Radar on iOS. This is so far the most comprehensive and easy to use radar I have found on iOS to date. Everything just makes sense, the UI is easy to look at and understand, and it doesn’t clutter the screen with 15 different ads and news stories that have nothing to do with weather. Highly recommend to any weather buff. Only downside is some tools, like radar velocity, are behind a subscription paywall, but they do have to make money and it’s like $40 a year so it’s not too bad if you think it’s worth it.

Better than Storm. I really loved the original Storm app, but it has been turned into useless money-grabbing crap. MyRadar is a great alternative. The free version is easy to use and informative, with a particular exception. I have the app set to follow my location always. The idea, of course, is that whenever I open the app I should see the weather for my current location. And when I’m not using the app, any notification from MyRadar should regard my current location. But, that isn’t happening. Whenever I open the app, the map and weather shows the previous location of when I last opened it, and any notifications I get are about that same previous location, never my current location. As a truck driver that drives 48 states and Canada, I kind of need to know what to expect down the road. If that could be fixed, this app would be perfect for me.

Best Free Wx App bar none!. I have been heavily involved in weather monitoring for decades. As a Communication Technician who didn't want to be caught 250' up on a tower in a thunderstorm or as a manager who didn't want my guys in that situation. I've had subscriptions to "Professional" services before the word app was coined. Being retired and working as an Red Cross Responder as well as living in a fish bowl we call New Orleans requires a keen eye in the weather but not enough to justify paying the Professional Cost. So I tried many. Even if I could afford the Pro Services I previously had, it would be a waste if money. As MyRadar with or without ads does the job with added benefits. Teamed up with the Red Cross Emergency App and its an unbeatably reliable tool! L White New Orleans Licensed Communication Technician, Red Cross Disaster Action Team, Former Vol. Firefighter/EMT

Had for several years now - still 5 stars!. I downloaded this MyRadar app as it has a beautiful hourly forecast and a really cool weekly trending temps chart also. I am just getting to know this app and already love the dark look and easy to understand navigation. Hourly forecast helps me to plan my outside time accordingly and I LOVE this feature. Only downside would be I would suggest adding a “real feel” alongside actual temps. Thank you for making this free version- the ads are not too intrusive. Update- I always make sure this app is on my phone- recently changed devices and this is a must have. The variety of available features are unbeatable, the radar map is very accurate and it’s overall my favorite weather app. I highly recommend this app to others and hope it will be around for more years to come!

Best radar app. I have about 6 weather apps installed on my phone as I’m a super weather nerd. I like reading radar maps and trying to beat out the meteorologists. This by far is the most cut and dry one out there and keeps all functionality that apps made for the masses do away with such as the ability to add the layer for fronts. Also the ability to see lighting strikes as they happened where they happened with it without historical markers. It’s obvious this was made for functionality, not so that they can paywall you into a subscription service. That said, there are some premium options behind a subscription paywall. But compared to the other apps in this department it is much cheaper than what others would have you pay. Can’t recommend this enough to people who spend more tome on the radar portion of their app rather than the forecast section..

Great App. I love this app for it’s ease of use and amount of information it supplies including all of the different layers you can select from and look at one by one are combine them in multi layers. My favorite part is that you get messages when it’s going to rain (goes to Apple Watch as well) which is helpful in the AM when getting ready for work....you can plan to make sure you have an umbrella. I like looking at the whole map and seeing what it is like weather wise in countries across the planet. You can zoom in to go down to a specific location or zoom out and see entire weather patterns across the nation and track storms. You can also see other stuff like earthquakes and other similar things. Great app and sometimes fun to explore across the world.

So much detail, so reliable, so wonderful!. I hardly ever leave reviews, but I had to come and do one for this. I’ve always been frustrated by weather apps, especially how simplified they can be and how little information they offer. Many leave you guessing about the weather for the day. As a gardener, I really need to know how the weather is going to be. This one is so consistent. You can look at global wind movements, fronts, high/low pressure systems, and see details about precipitation. You can see the precipitation outlook by the hour and within the hour. But my favorite thing is the weather notifications. “Light rain starting in 20 minutes, lasting for the next hour”. It’s like a godsend. Of course, some time it doesn’t matter, but when it does, it makes a world of a difference. If you can’t tell already, I highly recommend this.

Consistently great app. Been using MyRadar for many years; for a while just using the “free” version to get a simple, clean, accurate weather map to supplement my more complex weather apps such as WU’s “storm”. That app was destroyed, along with every other weather app that was bought up by that huge corporation;I won’t even mention their name. So.. I deleted those sadApps, and I made myradar my singular go-to weather app, thinking that it would a temporary switch. Not the case. I have found that myRadar has filled the void, and has just continued to get better and better; it seems that the devs really care about their product and listen to feedback. The interface has improved, the forecasts are accurate, the widgets are cool, just to name a few things. This app has grown and I’m really liking it. I only wish that it could have a bit more functionality such as future radar, and perhaps being able to select the storm vectors on the interface and get some enhanced nerdy info on a particular cell. Nerdify the app a bit more and I’d love to put a fifth star up there! Seriously, throw these guys some bucks and select the ad removal level $ amount at least. We need to support devs like this that care about their product and aren’t greedy.

Best radar of all. Have several radar apps on my phone and many times I am shut out or there’s a commercial advertisement in the center of the radar scene or I can’t get the hurricane far east enough on my radar screen because the radar doesn’t go that far but My radar is fabulous it it’s dark screen you can see the light colors of the tornadoes or the in the hurricane brightly colored the names of the cities are bright and I can read them against the black background it’s fabulous I just love it I use it all the time now and I hope that others will enjoy The concept of the dark screen with the light writing in the very bright hurricane views and in the future whatever it will show of weather that you’ll be able to see it clearly great work My radar have several radar apps on my phone and many times I am not able to see anything.

Really great app, but a couple suggestions. What a great app! MyRadar is noticeably more detailed than many other weather and radar apps that I’ve come across. It’s super helpful in not only tracking weather systems, but also understanding why forecasts are the way they are. A couple suggestions for improvement I have would be: 1) allow for seeing more than one hurricane path at a time for premium subscribers (for example, users should be able to track current hurricanes AND prior hurricanes); 2) users should be able to search for prior hurricane any name instead of having to scroll though a long list of storms by year; 3) update the iOS app design for iPhone X/Xr/Xs screen orientations (right now the app design doesn’t seem optimized for no home button and a camera notch. Otherwise, thanks for the app and great job!

MyRadar App. I have tried several radar/weather apps, but never found one that did everything I needed or wanted until now. The MyRadar App has been a life saver for me in knowing what weather to look forward too during the hours ahead. It is always very accurate unlike any of the other apps I have tried. It has never let me down, ever. You all have made this app really worth using and took the time to make it very user friendly as well. I only have the free version as of now. I would like to have the paid version, I am just not able to get it. Keep doing what your doing and don’t change a thing unless it’s for the better. Which I am not sure what that would be. It’s already the best!! Thank you

Excellent App With A few Glitches. I’ve purchased the subscription version and am overall pleased with it. But one issue vexes me. With HD radar selected I’m unable to see the actual precipitation coverage for my location. I see what looks to be cloud cover but the actual colored precipitation layer is always at the bottom edge of this cloud cover making it look as if there is only a layer of clouds over my location and no precipitation when its raining and snowing here. Selecting the classic view presents the radar view I’m used to with coverage over the entire map including my location. Perhaps this is due to my unfamiliarity with the app but I’ve found no way to remedy this so I leave it set for Classic view. If I’m doing something wrong and can find out how to correct this or understand better what I’m looking at I’ll give this 5 stars.

You can see the fronts!. I love this app. I have had it for a few years as my main radar app, but somewhere along the line they added the option to show the fronts as a layer on the map (or I missed it from the start)! Finally! I used to love WU Storm before they sold it to the weather channel, because you could layer winds and fronts over the precip on the radar, plus it had all kinds of useful forecast and conditions info. Now this app had all that too. The wind animation is the best I’ve seen, you can add fronts, and it has almost all the forecast and conditions info I want. Has a widget too. Now if they could just add future radar it would be the ultimate app. It seems very accurate too. I work outside, and the weather usually matches this app’s predictions. Thanks for an awesome weather app!

Great Weather App!. This weather app is among the greatest out there! There are so many good perks. It notifies you when storms are approaching, and it also lets you know ahead of time too. This app also has a real-time radar system where you can look to see where other weather is at is nearby cities or even across the world. A new feature allows you to track the ISS (International Space Station). It’s something I was looking forward to seeing. If I may, I would like to request an additional feature. If you could add a news section on the app. Please make this news straight forward and unbias. Although this is a weather app. I believe that this app could get so much more support with news. Hopefully this could be added. Thanks for making this great app!

Not that good anymore. For years, this was hands down the best radar app. Then something happened. Maybe it was new developers or ownership. Whatever, it’s now an app that I rarely open. The interface these days is very cluttered and confusing. The radar map plays constantly with no way to stop or PAUSE it (gee, how difficult could that be to program). And it’s really only the past hour of radar info. Then the radar layer freezes and moves across the map. This “future radar” isn’t really that useful as presented. What’s most annoying is the constant bombardment of tricks and taunts to get one to become subscribers. Personally I don’t need a weather app that does everything. I’m not a pilot or someone that needs full access to weather tools and data. It seems the developers are only interested in that model, neglecting those with casual needs. Too bad, this app was truly the best before all the greed kicked in. Certainly developers need to be able to make a living. I don’t wish to deprive them that right. But to me, they’ve made MyRadar into an app whose free layer is riddled with gimmicky if not deceptive tricks to entice users into becoming subscribers. This leaves the pay layer suspect, given that nearly EVERY review here is 5 stars. IMO, it’s not that universally great to have that be legit.

Below the cloud. I like the app because I am able to control how far out from my location I can look. The only complaint that I have is, I have to work to get to my location. If I have purchased this application it should open to my location and not have to zoom out to fine my location, I know there is a blue dot for the user to zoom out from, the user expects once the application opens that they will see at once what is happening at their location. I guess I am trying to think for every user, no one can do that but the God that created all things, but God decided not to do that, but let man, woman and the Angels make their own decisions about what they prefer. So I prefer to open the application and go directly to my location on the map, that is all I have to say about that!

Crashes & Data Sharing. I have two current iOS devices, iPad 11” Pro and iPhone 12 Pro, both experience crashes increasing with version releases to the point where the app no longer works on either device. Delete and replace loses my locations and doesn’t fix the problem. Again, updates have made this worse. The iPad experienced no GPS access except by opening, quitting and then re-opening the app. While, in general, this app works for my needs, its dissemination of my data is unnecessary, particularly health & fitness data. I do not give permission to this app to take and distribute this data regardless of whether or not it is tied to my identity. This goes for the other unnecessarily taken data as well. I think, if you want to take the data (steal is probably more correct), then you should at least offer compensation to the owner…the owner is me. Given the crashes and data use, I will likely discontinue use of this app and delete it from my devices within the week.

In The Eye Of The Storm. During Hurricane Florence, even though we had evacuated northwest to the NC mountains, I had marked the location of our house in Wilmington, NC, with a yellow star. We were able to monitor what was happening to our home, during the entire storm. We took pictures of the eye wall hitting our home and watched, on radar, tornadoes tearing through our neighborhood. It really helped us to understand why and how what trees fell. I texted the pictures to myself to show the insurance adjuster, just in case I needed any evidence. I highly recommend this app, as well as hurricane shutters. We had heavy yard debris along with many trees down. Limbs had obviously been deflected by our shutters, which also helped to keep our roof from blowing off. We found our house to be dry and in great shape, minus a few shingles.

Nice App but can be improved. All in all i think this is a great app. However, two changes could maker it better. I'd like to see a pause or stop button on the animation. Most other weather apps have this. Make it easier to see how close and when the rain is going to be there. The other thing i have noticed is that when you're location is in the green, chances are it isn't raining. I rarely see rain until I'm in the yellow or above. I'll compare the radar to another apps radar and they show me in the clear while this app shows rain. Maybe you could update your algorithm or whatever converts your radar data to the app image. Update: The devolper got in touch and showed me how to adjust the speed of the animation. Also how to stop it. He also said they have more tweeks coming to make the radar more accurate.

MyRadar. I’ve earned a commercial pilot license With a certified flight instructor (CFI) rating. I have a lot of weather (Wx) knowledge and experience. You learn more when you are actually up there flying in the Wx. Your Wx app is extremely flexible by using the robust layers feature. There is even an aviation layer that shows things that pilots need to know about. It’s been interesting watching Florence with your app. I did spend $2.99 for an in app purchase of your valuable hurricane tracker. One thing though it wasn’t obvious if that was a one time purchase or if it was a subscription of some sort. To sum it up I enjoy using your app. It’s accurate and shows a lot more than just weather- even earthquakes and areas of flooding. And, apparently you can look at things all over the world. Keep up the good work on your MyRadar app

Buy an umbrella or get this app...or both, both is also good.. The alternative to this app is carrying an umbrella all the time. This app is cheaper than an umbrella. I like this app. I’ve used this app many times to avoid getting soaked in a sudden down pour when running to my car. Whether leaving work or at the grocery store this app gives you the tool needed to decide when to run or when to just chill a few minutes and let it pass. Why guess when the rain will stop when it’s right at your fingertips? This app will tell you when it’s likely to rain in a few mins. Hello? Siri won’t do that for you! Wake up people! Know when it’s gonna stop raining. Don’t be that fool running through the parking lot getting soaking wet when it’s gonna stop raining in just a couple mins. I’ve tried warning people they scoffed at me. They were wet fools. I was not. Don’t be a wet fool.

Back to great. Update: app is functioning as normal now with only a 5 minute lapse between image and real time. Received a developer reply to my original concern which goes a long way and frankly is not the norm among most developers. Developer suspected a temporary problem although that problem it could not have happened at a core critical time while bracing for a severe thunderstorm. Hoping this is a temporary problem, but the radar loop ends 50 minutes and counting in the past. Have been accustomed to it being up to 10 minutes old, but in the interest of seeing “current” radar in the midst of a Severe Thunderstorm Watch, a 50+ lapse renders the information essentially worthless. Will have already experienced the passing off a strong storm before the loop catches up. Disappointing!

New ad policy intrusive. I just launched the most recent version and was greeted with a choice of allowing trackers to be installed, starting a trial subscription, or start the app without supporting it. To me, that implies that if I didn’t let the trackers install, then they won’t be able to get any ad revenue. That sounded unlikely to me, so I chose that option. Sure enough, it still played ads. And the very first ad that came up was for an extreme political position. I have no issue with companies using in-app ads to support development, but I do take exception to deceitful tactics that imply I have to give up my privacy in order to support them, and I really take exception to extremist political ads. I’ve used this app for several years, and have been perfectly happy with it in the past, but it is now gone from my device, along with any other app that runs the kinds of ads they seem to be accepting now, as well as any app that wants to install tracking cookies on my device for advertisers to use.

Well worth the price!. Had been looking for a good radar site ever since the NWS flipped the switch on their hideous train wreck of an “improved” site. This app is amazing and well worth the cost. I’ve had it for a few weeks now through several rounds of storms and multiple storm modes. This app had up-to-date data, excellent high resolution loops, and seamless switching between products like reflectivity, velocity, and echo tops. The zoom functions in the maps work quickly and flawlessly. The maps also allow you change radar sites by clicking on an available site right in the map. The data for the newly selected site loads and loops automatically. A very elegant product that was clearly thought through for the end user. Thank you!

Fantastic app!. I use this app daily, and I love it. I have been a free version user for many years now. What sets this app apart from other weather radars is the refresh rate on the overlays. You easily see tiny movements of the course and density of precipitation, allowing you give a solid guess of if it will hit you, when it will stop, etc. Second thing I use it for is checking the weather elsewhere very quickly. Scroll around the map, and wherever the crosshairs land, it gives the weather for that location. Lightning fast and super useful when traveling. The user interface seems a little dated, but it is understandable and easy to use. It also packs in a ton of features to customize overlays, which for has been set it and forget it for me.

Why did you take away the option to track hurricanes and make us pay for it. When I first got this app I was able to track hurricanes and tornadoes and just about anything else involving the weather but I just received a hurricane notification and when I went to look to see where it’s at I am no longer able to track it or see where it is for that service when I wasn’t paying for it before!!! I normally love this app because it is so on point with tracking the weather and actually got us out of a few thunderstorms as well as helped us prepare to get out of bad weather in other places like camping. So now I’m questioning how many other things that were originally free options are you gonna start charging me for cause I’m not paying for it and I’ll just get a different app or go online and check the weather from the news

Swing and a Miss - Dated Data. Poor view of the weather ten minutes ago. After looking for a replacement for a great weather app taken over and destroyed by the Weather Channel I thought I might have found it. With a an extra yearly subscription of $10 I could get “”unfiltered individual NEXRAD reflectivity and velocity data.” This option should allow filtering out ground clutter and seeing better the strength of a storm system. What I got was there unknown angles most likely still composite of various angles and no wind velocity. You can’t get a static view only the video that ends ten minutes in the past. Unfiltered should equal live radar and not a delayed product. Control of the angle should include degree by degree adjustment. It should be a real-time scan and not some composite video. Wasted money if you want the true unfiltered radar and a total fake representation of what you’re paying for in the upgrade. More of the same when it comes to rip-off promotions of “upgrades” from the Apple Store.

Love this app. I’ve been using this app for around two to three years I guess. I’m a weather fanatic lol. I used to use the weather channel app, and I used to use two others. Primarily I was looking for just a weather radar map when I found the app. I’m not sure but I think when I first found the app it had like storm track like directional boxes which I love but cannot fig out of its still there sense the revision. (Minor thing if it was there before and not now). I really really love this app. It’s my go to and only weather app I use. The forecasts are reliable. The warnings, watches, and alerts are timely, the ease of use is spot on. Now I’ve lived in northern Vermont, Western Mass, and have traveled through New England. No matter where I am, the app works and is reliable. I also like all the customizable features. Shout out to the app developers, this app is stellar!!!

Love it.. I’ve been using this app since day one of finding it in the App Store. And I love each update that’s added new features and taken Premium features and made them available on the free version. Although I would like the ability to zoom in on my location on the version for the Apple Watch as well as see lightning flashes or where a bolt has hit, since I can better tell where the lightning strikes are in relations to my location since I’m using my phone’s camera to record the thunderstorm to go back later and take screenshots of the lightning. But if I want to go to an exact location of a lightning strike(once it is safe to go outside again) to see the damage that it has caused. Like the ability to set a known strike radius around my location that would then log both Lon. and Lat. location of the strike and get me close to the area where I need to look. Because I would love to give a target to the picture of the lightning that I do manage to capture. Also I would love it if you can have an option that would allow us to have different maps of the same area with different configurations set to each on to where all we have to do is swipe either to the left or right of the current map layers we have set for that page to the next one.

Holy Crap!. I NEVER write reviews and I didn’t even think I needed another weather app, but my daughter told me to get it - she saw people talking about it on Twitter - so I was like, fine, it’s free, I’ll get it. Well holy crap!! This app is amazing! I can’t even believe there’s even a video forecast for my area, but it’s not JUST a video forecast - you even throw in a little “weather education” in there so a layperson can understand a little better why this, that or the other thing is happening! Bravo!!! I’ll admit that this weather app isn’t as *fun* as Carrot (my other favorite weather app) but it’s the most comprehensive, yet still easy to understand at a glance, full featured weather app I’ve ever used! The layers you offer on the map, like power outages, are really interesting too. Great job! A+++

This is by far the best wether radar on the App Store. So far I’ve installed the local weather app and the weather bug app, the noaa weather radar, not to mention accuweather and was annoyed when I ran them all side by side and had different images from each. Later I realized out of all the maps the my radar was the most updated one and the most accurate one of the bunch. Showing rain when it was actually raining and the severity of the storm being exactly what it was... I always assumed they were the same , using the same radars but never had much luck until I started using “my radar”. I mow lawns so knowing where the rain actually is and when it’s coming means staying dry in my line of work. Also this is the first review I’ve ever written and wouldn’t take the time if this wasn’t truly a honest app that works and shows accurate information

My Amazing Radar Application Sent From Heaven. This app is the most accurate and positively fenomenal in its class if it was to graduate 🎓 👩‍🎓 👨‍🎓 it would be in honor roll in the top 5 and possibly #1 only and sully Because I will never try another sense this has been such a satisfaction I would not dare cheat on My Radar. Apart from my love 😍 for My Radar, I recommend it because you’ll never find another one that can give you such a high quality definition on weather or hurricanes if you subscribe to the hurricane alerts which are absolutely amazing as well that you would think 🤔 that the features would come standard in other apps until you try another app and see for yourself that’s not the case at all. Stay dry and up to date with My Radar app. 😌🙂😉

Radar. I like it BUT the radar is not what it used too be. I have had the old version of this app for more than a few years, right up until a few months ago and it’s just not as intuitive nor as good as it used too be. Now that being said I am very aware that all change is for the good and that it will take some time too get used too all the upgrades so too speak. But do feel that there could be room for even more improvement…… especially in the area of the radar……. like for instance a legend for and as too as far of what all the symbols mean. Kind of for the novice in a way. Thanks for this opportunity, and by the way your customer service/support via email and everything else that you all have in place is VERY VERY Good!

Absolutely amazing... only one request. I have bought everything the app has to offer besides aviation maps, for I personally don’t have a good use for those. But I have a Mac Mini and there is no good radar app on the App Store for MacOS that I want. PLEASEE make it available for the M1 machines to download and use it from the App Store. Or even release MyRadar as a separate app designed for MacOS, but keep the purchases synchronized across all devices. I often use my iPad as a separate monitor for my Mac Mini and sometimes I don’t have my phone handy when I’m doing assignments. Yesterday, we had a tornado watch and I would have LOVED to put the MyRadar app on my desktop to keep an eye out for the storms heading my way while doing my assignments and studying. Whichever way it can be released on the Mac Mini I’ll be downloading it. It would be a perfect setup.

BUYER BEWARE!. I’ve been using this app for years! I mean years! So when my HURRICANE PRO app maker retired last year and the app went dormant I had to find a new hurricane tracking app. So looking at my options and prices. Your $2.99 to upgrade on My Radar seemed like a steal! Well it’s NOT maker of the product and ppl reading my review! For $2.99 when you upgrade in the app luckily I hit Upgrade on Hurricane Tracker or whatever it is and I thought I would get what was all listed the upgrade...UM NO YOU DON’T!!! Well you know what you can take you $2.99 plus tax and stick it up your ⭐️🐟! Seriously! I would have given it 5 freaking stars if you had given me what you advertised for the PRO but nope you didn’t....so here I am complaining and I want a freaking damm refund! Once I get my refund I will never use this app again! I will be deleting it for good after this! It’s the principle of the matter! Misleading and not honest that is what you are! Don’t spend your $2.99 or you will be disappointed people! Money back plus my tax developer of this awesomely crappy app! I’m going to complain till I can’t!

Premium Features. I’ve had this app for over 7 years and I use it pretty regularly because I tend to live in places where weather can be destructive. When I first downloaded the app there were no premium upgrades, everything was included. When included features were made premium there was a time that they were included for long time app users, this has gone away and I don’t really understand why? When app users are provided with a certain service for free it doesn’t seem right to begin to charge them for it with no real added features for the customer. Also, I don’t feel that it is right that the features that are now premium upgrades include real life saving features, like hurricane tracking. This is a feature that can really help people, but only if they can afford it! Please bring this app back to the great app it used to be!

Accuracy?. Been using the app for less than 24 hours, and impressed with 99.9% of it. Possibly prepared to spend some money for some features. Definitely a five star app BUT so far I have not been impressed with the “rain warning“ feature . It’s been raining here for the last two hours, and we have accumulated about a quarter inch. A moment ago the app let me know that it might start light rain in about 15 minutes. Hmmmm. Now in fairness, the radar map shows significant rain just about that far away, so to the degree the radar app relies on the radar map, it’s probably accurate. That being said I wouldn’t want to have relied on it to keep something dry. 😏 Will update if that experience improves but just a heads up great app, probably a limit of the technology….

Actionable local weather information. Living in an area with several micro-climates I really appreciate the ability of this app to give me timely information specific to my current location. If I’m hiking in mountainous terrain or a canyon 20-30 miles from my house I can center the crosshairs of the app’s map on the GPS location of my iphone and find out the weather that’s going to impact me in a short time. If I’m not using the app I still receive warnings in the form of a banner on my phone advising me of rain, snow, hail, wind events, flash flooding, and the expected time and intensity so I can make preparations if needed. The current radar picture around my location is always accessible. “MY Radar” is really a great name for this app. I have found no need to use the previous weather apps that have been on my phone.

I was wrong to complain!. I complained about My Radar app annoying me with a pop up before I could even see the radar. We were about to have a big storm so I quickly wrote to complain about the annoyance and threatened to find a different radar app. Well, after checking out a bunch of other radar apps, none of them were as good as My Radar which is probably why I chose it in the first place! I was wrong to complain because this really is the best of the lot!. Get it and you will see for yourself. No matter where I am, it shows the weather system surrounding me and it is accurate! The notifications of rain, severe weather, etc. are correct within minutes. And I can see an expanded view for the entire region or continent or ocean of interest, or a very close in view! My Radar is still my go to weather app, especially during hurricane season. Thank you.

Top notch!. I’ve had this app for several years now. I was just reading through some of the other reviews and am blown away by some of the mistakes people make and blame the app for. For example, you kinda’-sorta’-HAVE-TO allow your location to be accessed if you want accurate, local to you, weather. I mean, just sayin. No one can tell you the temperature where you are unless they KMOW WHERE YOU ARE. Also, learn the app. Play with the layers. Wind, lightening, etc. tap every little icon and see what it does - it’s not like you can break the app by adding clouds to your layers - BUT if you play with the layers, and remove the clouds, don’t blame the developers the next time you open the app and it’s raining in your head but the radar isn’t showing a single cloud. Also, by adding these layers, you can watch hurricanes. Anyone who thinks you MUST PAY TO STAY ALIVE maybe just needs a hug.... they’re angry about something that just isn’t true. I’m amazed at how many people think they do not have to participate in their own lives and everything should just magically happen. This app is awesome, if you do your part and learn how to use the features that you want. Everything you want is available on this app.

Great app for current radar. This app has nice features. I use it all the time. Can get wind direction arrows and advisories. Can add hurricane tracking which is great since I live on the south east coast. Would be better if the radar pics updated more often than once every 10 minutes- especially for boating and tracking local tornados when waiting in the safe room for the bad weather to clear. It would also be better if the % chance of rain and temp graphs were on a more fixed scale or increments that made the math easier at a glance. It appears the computer auto scales which is not always the way a person would do it...otherwise I would have given 5 stars. I also like the percent chance of rain in the next hr graph broken down in 15 min increments- it’s a nice feature...

Best weather app. Typically I do not write reviews but when an app really impressed me I want to send some support. First off looking for a weather app I have one criteria, to be accurate looking in the App Store there are about a dozen different weather apps and only one works it becomes questionable the reputations of the others. Living in Wisconsin with winters i need to know if, when and how much snow will be coming. Or maybe I’m just crazy and like to know those things. Anyways this app is spot on accurate. Better yet the map options and the clarity of the map, plus the speed at which the radar works is amazing. I tried the free app and only after a week I bought the app. For what “my radar pro” offers I would have paid double, because it simply is the best. No other weather app even comes close!

De-stresses storm forecasts. I love this app! I live In a very storm-prone area, and I stress out to the max when storms are forecast for fear of yet more downed trees and damage. But now, I can look and see for myself where a storm is actually heading, and I don't fret needlessly when danger is nowhere near. Just last week I saved myself a lot of grief using this app, when the forecasted storm decided to head elsewhere and I was aware of it. Yay! And the local DC weather forecasts just ignore this area of the nearby Piedmont. So who needs them anymore? I have my app now and the weather forecasters can go crawl under a rock. HOWEVER-- the pop up ads at the bottom are much too large, and they obliterate much of the screen. I get why they're there, but they shouldn't be that big. They're coming with such frequency now that I'm starting to look for another weather app! Otherwise I would've given this five stars.

Easily the best weather app. I’ve tried just about every weather app on iOS, including that one that gets named best all the time, and I understand what’s going on. Weather apps seem to be ranked based upon their simplicity rather than on their wealth of functionality. My Radar has everything, and does most things better than the others. There’s no other map view I want to look at for radar imagery, and the detailed data view is comprehensive, which is just what I need. My guess is there’s an app out there that a meteorologist would choose over all the rest that your averag person wouldn’t be able to even comprehend, too, but for me, My Radar is a cut above the basic weather apps that get all the popular love, and really can’t be touched by the competition.

Love this app. I got this app because I wanted a really good radar app. I wasn’t looking for anything else. It fit the bill beautifully. Literally. The graphics are beautiful. And then it kept getting better. My favorite recent features are the option to show jet stream winds (rather than surface winds, which are still available) and the option to show weather fronts. In short, this is starting to show the weather features that I really value to understand why what’s happening is happening. Then I know how much stock to put in the forecast! So it has turned out to be much more than the basic radar app that I expected, although it still fills that bill. I should also say that I have not added on a lot of extra features. I’m very satisfied with the app just as it comes. Okay, I removed the ads...

Love MyRadar. I can always count on up to date radar info with myradar. I checked “the weather channel” guesser yesterday morning and it showed 20% or less chance of rain for that day. My Aunt called me to let me know there was a tornado reported to hit Rusk Texas and was headed to Reklaw Texas. I live in Reklaw! I looked at My Radar and sure enough there was. We took cover in hallway for 40 minutes as we listened to weather tornado updates from Tyler Texas on our television. My next door neighbor also checked TWC and felt confident to take his motorcycle out. He was in Rusk when the rain wrapped tornado came through. We rely on MyRadar now for daily weather updates. Going to remove TWC app now as it nearly got us killed and is so very good unreliable. We love MyRadar! Keep up the good work MyRadar 🌻😘

Much More Than a Simple Radar App. I’ve been using this app for many years and have found it to be the most accurate, easiest to use, and most detailed forecasting and radar app available. You can preset multiple locations to quickly check the weather forecast at your favorite destinations or you can have it follow your location to give details where you’re at. The temperature, precipitation chance, wind speed and direction forecasts are all very accurate and are displayed in an easy to read graph plotted over the next few upcoming days. Best of all these features are completely free without annoying advertising pop ups. I would highly recommend trying this app and will bet that you’ll end up deleting whatever weather app you were using before.

Great app! Devs please read :). This app has it all to rain, wind, hurricanes, fires, earthquakes and more. Its amazing that we can view them all within this app. Not to mention that they notify you when its going to rain, and its accurate! After getting the notification a minute later it started raining. However I really wish we could revive rain alerts for all types of rain. Devs if you’re reading this please add this in the next update, I would really love to know when its going to be light rain or heavy. Would be better than just one type of alert! You could also add the feature that send us notifications on hurricane updates that we choose to see. So all we have to do is click on the hurricane then click a button like “keep me updated”. Would love these features!!! Keep it up I love the app :)

Great app, and growing. Ive used this app for the past year as my main radar and overview weather app for my flight school needs. As far as accuracy goes it is the most accurate radar ive used. Some guy was ranting in the reviews about how its not accurate and its old data, blah, blah, blah. I have many other live weather resources such as awos and asos as well as a couple other sources to pull weather data from and i can ensure you this app is accurate. Its interface is great and there arent any pop up ads, which is great for a freebie. There is just a tiny bar on the bottom that plays ads in the background as you use the radar which is totally fine for me because im cheap and dont care enough to subscribe, which is a happy medium. The quality has gone up since i originally got the app as well. The clouds used to look pixelated and really bad but now they have definition and you can tell which parts are thicker and thinner and it really gives them depth now which is a huge game changer. I think something that i would love to see is cloud layers and wind speed by altitude, IF I COULD SEE CLOUD CEILINGS I WOULD SUBSCRIBE IN A HEART BEAT. Other than that the app is perfect, the notifications are neat too because it will tell you light rain stopping in maybe an hour, or something of that nature. Anyway its a great app and the dev team is doing a great job!

Weather Awareness. I live in Florida , land of Hurricanes, sudden thunderstorms and just as sudden clear blue skies. I really see the value of weather notifications now, no longer caught unaware of the deluge of rain that not just affects getting to the car wet and without your umbrella. The ability to view the map and pinch to my local area or if I’m traveling see South Florida Tri county or entire state of Florida with color weather maps of green, yellow , red and thunderstorm flashes . I can make informed decisions on the route or if I even want to just hold off and watch as the weather clears on same said map … nice. I can track and look out for hurricanes at any time, with this on my phone in my pocket. No more having rush to a tv or computer for timely updates. This app is fantastic and so informational .

I like it - free version. I have tried several “free” and another that I have paid, and this app shines above all and I like it. Upon opening the app, the weather radar view is instant and I get the weather movement picture quickly. Apple’s updated weather app in iOS 15 has been greatly improved and now has radar, but I have this app next to the Apple app and is much faster and more readable for radar. Also, the previous hour cycle viewing is presented graphically better than any other app including how it has a slight break when it replays the cycle, which greatly improves the visual tracking and recent tracking history. Advertisement banner is tucked at the bottom and is not bothersome. Local details pop up at the top when the screen is touched and then it will disappear for full screen radar viewing. Good job app developers. We’ll see if I decide to get an annual subscription.
