Much like real dating, I can't tell if this is going anywhere.. My friend posted about this game on my Facebook feed because... Well, pugs. Or because I'm single. Or both. Either way, like any pug owner, you live and breathe all things pugs so shelling out two bucks for pug speed dating seemed ideal. It's silly, it's cute, most of the pugs look half drunk drooling over the table and look like they are having a miserable time. I'm in between. The dialogue is witty and humorous but I'm really not sure if there's a goal in site for this game like if I actually get to go on a second date with one of these pugs. The highlight was one pug telling me his favorite starter Pokemon was Charmander and I thought it was going well but it turns out he thought I was grotesque. Eventually, after multiple partners, one pug asked if I would rate the app which I thought was a shameless way to get reviews while preying on single individuals. Whatever, I'm writing a review. I'm still single though. But I also have my own pug to go home to so that's a plus, but mostly, this game just brings back sad memories of my two that passed last year. Yep. Okay, back to the speed dating.
Ok but..... It's fun but I wish the pugs were more positive. To me it seemed like they we're depressed and sour which get annoying
The world needs more games like this. Definitely worth the price of entry, and a creative way to kill some time. There's no apparent depth or goals, which will turn away people looking for a traditional "game" but it scratches the itch for a funny, sometimes depressing, time waster.

Pugs inconsistent. One pug, Leland or some such, told me she's extremely committed to Sub-Saharan African animations. And also extremely committed to tumblr bragging. And the list goes on. She's obviously overcommitted to everything. Honestly, all of these pugs seem like terrible people. Seeing how real pugs interact, I expected much more from these digital ones.
Ok. When I said are you having a good time it said a cus word and I was like 😮. This is a game for kids to play. Why would you but bad words in a kids game!?!?! I was surprised of he the pug said.

You go on a date with a real cutie Sometimes they are sweet and funny Sometimes they are jerks It is a little repetitive but it is funny and I enjoy playing it and having people check it out without looking at reviews or photos so they just see “Hot date” and talk to a pug I like the rude pugs and the sweet pugs because you can do a nice date where you want to meet again or see how bad you can screw up a date

Cute and great practice. i love this game, though most of the pugs are quite rude. there are so many things to say and so many reactions, it is endless fun! the only problem is that you can’t tell when they are being sarcastic.

One issue. I love this game. You get to be a pug (a dream of mine). You get to speed date other pugs. (Awesome) my only problem with this is that most of the pugs are negative to some sort. I wish that you could chose more answers or questions also. Besides that, this game is amazing 👾👾

You got me. Ok. First off best request for an app review I've seen in a while. The game itself mirrors dating in a way I find pretty cool. I started some online dating recently and my experiences range pretty wildly because it's not something I've done before. I usually meet friends and things go from there. I'm not saying this will up you're dating game but it is incredibly funny.
Pug Life. Hot Date is a wonderful mix of humor and subtle commentary on the complexities of dating and making connections with others. If you've ever stumbled through an Ok Cupid conversation and ever wondered how you made it on the other side, this game provides a familiar, albeit far more charming slice of that experience. Certainly worth the price of admission.

Really? It’s a waste of money. I seriously just paid two dollars to play the same round of the game over and over. It had good reviews so I was like “why not?”. The questions are the same questions every time with maybe two variations of how the pug will answer. All the pugs are very stuck up and annoying. Not worth it.

Not really worth the money. I wanted to look into other apps by the developers of Bird Alone. It has good graphics, but this game seems to have some bugs. I start playing, getting through a few questions before it seems to glitch. The pug is still moving, all the graphics are great, but it doesn’t allow me to move on in the game or choose the next question. I end up having to restart the game for it to work again. I was hoping for a fun game to pass time but the questions from the pugs are the same. Not worth the money I paid. The pugs end up giving the same answers, and it is the same pugs after a while. They seem all frustrated and annoyed. Not a very happy game unless you know the correct combination of questions to ask, and it seemed very repetitive after only playing a little while. Would love to get my money back, as it doesn’t really allow me to play anyway as it keeps glitching and needing to restart the app.

Boring.. It’s pretty bad. It’s just the same pink pug over and over again. No variety, and all of the “different” pugs are jerks. I found it rather boring -- could not hold my attention for more than 5 minutes. Glad I found it for free on AppAdvice and didn’t actually pay two dollars for it. 5 star reviews might be fake...

It's good. I think it has an interesting concept, and I like it. The only suggestion that I have is that the pugs could be different colors. Like if it was a boy pug, it would be blue and the girls could just be pink. Other than that, that's all I have to say! 😊👍🏻
