Worked Great. I love working with the app! I don’t know if it’s because I’ve worked with a full-size teleprompter before but I found the app easy to use. The features and tools made adjusting to just the right speed and how I want the text to show upon the screen were easy to follow and the end result was a seamless production.

Such a disappointment. I was super excited to use this app. The script was easy to read and I love the first video. When it came time to download my first video I was unable to do so. It just kept spinning saying it was being downloaded. This lasted over 15 minutes. I still can’t get my video.

Works Well, Exactly what I needed. I had to put together a video for a colleague and every take I did looked terrible until I found this. I was able to practice until I got the right speed and it worked great. Thank you!

Totally amazing. I've been looking for an app like this for quite sometime. I've tried this; it totally works. It's worth downloading. The features are excellent and I just can't stop smiling because it's everything I ever wanted.

Perfect for Recording, How About Zoom?. I tried this out on a 60 second intro video I had to do on deadline, and it worked perfectly. Now, if there was a feature that allowed users to run the teleprompter over a Zoom call, I’d be in heaven.

Need a lite version update with Voice Tracked system. Everything was good with this teleprompter lite. I downloaded several and used all of them in details; this is the most lite and best features in free version. Hope the developer will give free updated version with voice tracking script progress feature, I’ll as to add the voice system for top 5 languages specially Spanish, French, Thai, Hindi, Bengali besides default English. I’ll update my review to 5 stars after adding the voice enabled script features. Thanks everyone! Enjoy the app.

Wouldn’t let me export. I recorded a long video using this app and it would not let me export at the end!!! My phone just got extremely hot, like hot to the point that you couldn’t touch it, and the app showed that it was fully done exporting. I tried re-recording it and the same thing happened. This is a complete waste of time. Do not install

Great App. I was looking to find a way to keep eye contact with the viewer without the investment in more gear. This is just the app! Recording on my iPad, I can put the text of the script right next to the camera lens, adjust the font and scroll speed and really look like I know what I’m doing. Tried the free version and loved it. Bought the paid version to eliminate the watermark. Super easy to use. Five stars for sure!

Great, but .... I've tried numerous TelePrompTer apps to help me prepare for and deliver my recorded presentations. By far this one is the best, but with one major flaw that after a few minutes causes frustration. If you wish to practice and have your practice speech recorded, so that you can evaluate your tone of voice and body language, then this app may not be for you. Here is why: When you wish to do a retake in the middle of your practice speech, you must wait for the video to save first. The wait depends on the length of the transcript. Suggested solutions: a. Let us preview the video, and decide whether it's worth saving. b. If a is not possible, give us an option to save or discard the video quickly without the preview. Another suggestion is to give us an option to disable the automatic camera magnification. It's hard enough keeping the iPad perfectly straight, at the eye level, so that it doesn't record us from below the chin. No need to emphasize unflattering parts. However, this is not a deal breaker. I'll keep the app on my iPad. Perhaps future updates will improve the user experience.

It’s the best !. I started using Teleprompter last year around August and had make my videos easier for me. I don’t have to stop many times to correct myself or check my script to see what’s next. Thank you teleprompter.

Awesome app. I recently started making tiktoks and videos for IG. This app has a great user experience design. I love that you are able to adjust the speed of the teleprompter and see yourself while recording. I also like the esthetic and ease of use. I was able to download the app and use it within minutes. This app has made my job so easy. I would definitely used the paid option.

Works really well but needs a few things. This app is really good at what it does. However, I think it could use a bit of improvement by adding the following things. 1) faster processing/saving to Camera Roll time. 2) needs to remember the last speed selected--every time I open the app I have to adjust the speed because it's default is too fast for my projects. I'd love to see it stay where I had it last time I used the app. 3) (this is a big one) the app really should show the entire view the camera sees. When ever I use this app it shows a cropped version of what the video will eventually look like, forcing me to ALWAYS crop in post. This is extra work I should not need to do. The stock camera app defaults to this same thing but double tapping the screen causes the actual framing to appear (looks letterboxed) but this does not happen inside this Video Teleprompter app. Please fix! Thanks!

You’ll Never Use Anything Else. I don’t even want to say how important this project was, and my idiotically-large iPad wouldn’t let me look directly into the camera while I read my script. The way this app lets you move the script around to fit where the camera is rocks hardcore, and I never had any problem with the time it takes to upload the video, but, then again, I always stopped if I thought I made a mistake.

IF SLOW TO SAVE - delete your storage!. Took forever to save and it didn’t even save :( and I thought it was the apps fault but then I checked storage and found I had 126GB taken from 128GB — therefore it was my fault I had no memory left. I deleted a bunch of attachments from text message Audio messages and some other things that were taking up space and voila! Saving took half a second! Wonderful app!

Great but.... This seems like a great app but it looks like the video recorded is only 30fps as opposed to 60fps if I use the iPhone camera app. I can’t tell if this changes to 60 if I upgrade to Video Teleprompter 3. Anybody know?

Watermark!!!!! Why????. I hate that it has this stupid watermark. I wish there were the option to remove it, even if I have to pay for it. Will NOT be using no matter how good it is. I can’t have my videos out there saying I used a Teleprompter.

This app is fantastic!. I was asked to do a video for a friend’s birthday. There was too much info to remember. With this app I could write the script and read it while recording, without looking down to read. My video turned out beautifully. This app is fantastic!

Doesn’t need access to my camera or mic!!!😡. Ok, thank you. While I’m not going to change my star rating (since I don’t need this app), I will delete the review after you read this. Also, why is there a regular teleprompter app and the premium one? I downloaded the premium one first then seen the regular one and download it to see if there was a difference and I can’t seem to see any between them.

Perfect Teleprompter Solution. I have been recording myself for my video intros for over ten years, and have used many techniques and software products. A few months ago, I purchased my first iPad, and of course, thought that the iPad and teleprompter software could provide the best teleprompter solution. I came across this app, and have found that it meets all my needs. I write my script on my MacBook Pro, copy it, open this app with a new script, paste, and I am ready to go. I mount my iPad on a tripod, set the text speed, and record. When finished, I transfer the video back to my MacBook Pro via Airdrop. One thing that I particularly like is that by using this system, even when I read my script, my eye position is nearly centered. This system has allowed me to produce my best “live” recordings.

Video Teleprompter is great. I love that I can read a script off this either to perform in front of an audience or to create a video using the camera function. What has me equally impressed is that anytime I’ve had a question, Joe Allen gets back to me quickly with an answer. Modern technology app with old-school customer service behind it. Great! P.S. in trying to rate this I first hit the wrong amount of stars. If there are any other ratings with my name on it, they were accidents. My rating is 5 stars.

✨. I used this app to create a video for a specific request. It didn’t take long to figure it out. It did the job and it was free. If I had to create videos often, I’d definitely purchase this app. This application idea was well conceived and executed.

Works great!. One of the simplest to use the most fully functional Teleprompter apps I've seen. Wish it didn't have the watermark, but it's at the bottom and could be edited out. Probably worth buying.

Was a good app. I downloaded this app it was working good I wanted to try it before I bought it. Now it’s not working properly recorded the same video for times and it will not upload like it was doing before it will not save my video I’ve wasted over two hours of my time trying to create a video that keeps disappearing it’s very frustrating I’m not sure if I’m going to purchase the app I don’t want to spend money on something that’s not gonna work properly.. The company emailed me back but I was so upset I did not reply to them because there’s nothing that they could do to retrieve my last video my app sent me a notification that the bugs were fixed so I tried it again and again this morning my 20 minute video lost gone never uploaded I should just give up and delete the whole thing in definitely

The update..... I hate the update. I hate how each time I scroll back on the teleprompter, it pauses the video, then you have the end the video and delete the old video and redo it all. I have no idea why they added this feature. I’ll update my review if they ever change that. I also hate how they added all the “control” in front of the text. Very annoying. I was okay with just having the start and pause button.

Won’t work with bright lighting. I tried and tried and tried to get this app to work on my iPhone and then on my iPad but the lighting I used with my green screen would NOT work with this app. The lighting was fine with my actual camera app but when I tried to use this app, my face was brightly washed out and I looked creepy/ghostly instead of professional. I’m irritated that I wasted money on it. It’s a great idea but it seems to lose a lot of camera features when used. I’ve never rated anything on the App Store - this is how irritated I am with this product.

Easiest teleprompter ever!. I have used other teleprompters and been frustrated with the limitations! I love being able to upload my script pre-typed, and can slow down the speed to suit me with the touch of a button, right on the screen where I am recording! Other apps are difficult to find the settings! Records immediately to your phone! You can resize your text and have it centered, left or right! I recorded a 9 minute video and no one thought I was reading it! Great product and I recommend it! In fact I recommended it to my business group of over 2,000 people!

Works Great. The app works perfectly for recording smooth videos while following a script.

It’s good for short videos. I tried several times to record a video. If it’s short, like a few minutes, it works great but if video is longer at the end saving function doesn’t work. So I realized I must cut my script in few scripts and make few videos and then do postproduction in Adobe Premiere. It’s frustrating. I wish to add script, record and save. But it ended up that instead of 30 min I wasted several hours and I am not absolute amateur in video making.

Frustrating – only works occasionally. I was so excited to get this app. But many times it didn't work or only worked intermittently and it got very frustrating. A couple of times it worked then when it didn't work I thought perhaps I just had too much on my phone but after deleting everything it still didn't work. Then sometimes it would. Then when I needed it most when I had a big audition that was due that I need to turn in it wouldn't work over and over. I was angry that I wasted $15 on this when I can't count on it to work when I need it.

Just what I needed. I’m not a tech-savvy person. On a lark, while out for a walk, I wanted to film myself against a scenic background while reciting a poem. Since I hadn’t memorized it, I thought what I need here is a teleprompter. Lo and behold on the App Store, there was TelePrompter Lite. I was able to download it on the spot, and simply type in the script I wanted, and voila’, a teleprompter for self-written, -directed, -filmed and -acted productions. Bravo!

Great tool... especially for beginners.. I've never been very good at scripting on paper. For some reason doing it that way was hard for me to read from a script without sounding scripted. I find reading from a telepromter easier, but until modern technology it has been unavailable to the common people. It works well on iOS, allowing it to be available on all my devices and easily add it to video editing software.

Easy to use. I don’t record videos much but needed to make and post a recruiting video. My practice videos where I read from a script were terrible but this app was perfect. It was very easy to use and made my videos look a lot better because my eyes weren’t way off to the side. Very happy with this app.

Great offer. I was so touched that during COVID 19 Joe allowed free video recording till April 30th 2020. This allowed me to churn out many videos! Thank you so much Joe! This has actually made it much easier to produce .srt files!

I have only had Limited use. I have only used this app for the scrolling script when I am recording for my podcast. I have never actually recorded a video using it. For what I use it for, it is great. I may have to try out all of the bells and whistles and update my review.

Third times a charm!. I hate trying to do videos. I've tried and erased 30 videos before this, no joke. This was just what I needed, no ums. First couple of times too slow, third time was spot on.

Incredible product & Service. I have bought numerous Teleprompter apps and this is by far the most superior and easy to use. I was using PROMPTSMART but they only allow remote control from your phone. It seems it’s a feature they have to get you to subscribe. The issue I have is that that do not offer a physical remote control and I contacted them four times about that they never responded which surprised me. When I contacted Teleprompter Premium by JoeAllenLro limited he immediately got back me with answers and was very helpful and kind. His product is superior and his service is in Awesome. He made me a customer not simply a commodity buyer. I hope I can help you Ava e time, money and aggravation by this review.

Wonderful Ap. I had received my first audition with a very very long script and agent suggested using a teleprompter but didn’t recommend an ap. I found you and was really impressed with the ease of how it worked and that I could easily adjust the speed of the words on screen!

Great Video Teleprompter. This is a great, easy to use video teleprompter. I’ve used it to record birthday wishes for friends; and more importantly, my grandchildren have used it very successfully for school projects.

Video blown out/Subtitles don’t match. I’m a paying customer and despite repeated attempts to reach customer I get zero response. The subtitles start too soon and don’t come close to keeping pace with my words no matter how I adjust. It won’t let me “lock” a size font and speed even though I use it everyday I have to reset it everytime. And the app blows out the video when I hit record (yes after setting the aperture and locking it.) They offer a customer service email, but don’t respond. So I’m trying publicly. To the app developers or anyone who cares: Please respond with information on how I can connect with a specialist to troubleshoot or suggest fixes. Thanks!

What this doesn’t tell you .... ... is that on the Lite version it adds the line “Recorded with Video Teleprompter on iPad” in big letters across the screen. Makes the video unusable. I guess you have to pay the full price to remove that. Shame.

Broken. I liked this the first two uses. Then it crapped itself, stopping recording before the end of the speech... But only saving 2 secs worth. Wasted 30 minutes when it should have only taken 3 minutes. Bored.

RIP OFF - Beware!. I don't know how this app has so many good reviews but it was a complete waste of my time and money! I got the lite version first but I had to upgrade to be able to record video on my phone while using the teleprompter - it was very misleading because it said 'upgrade to record video' and then I upgraded and still wasn't able to record video - then it said I needed to upgrade again to record video which is totally dodgy & dishonest but I foolishly did it because I was in a rush to record something! Then, once I upgraded twice it didn't work properly - wouldn't record video landscape/horizontal - was only recording vertically. What a complete rip-off and waste of my time!

Seems good to me. Recorded a nice video. I am on iPhone 5s. Position of text near camera makes it hard to tell one is reading. Scrolling speed does seem to increase slightly when you hit record but easy enough to adjust back and trim off the first seconds of the clip. Will probably try the paid version.

Great app for iOS & recording to camera. I'm not sure what the other reviewers are talking about; you can save the videos. Would like the option to save scripts within app & perhaps a +\- option for scroll speed rather than a slider. Otherwise this app is the bees knees.

Makes video message so easy. I love this app. It is easy to use and makes the finished product look very polished. No need to remember my script. Always looking at the camera. No up and down movement of the head like you are looking at your notes.

Video Teleprompter lite. This is a great app. I use it for different applications. One of my favorite applications is helping my 6 year old learn to read. He thinks it great that he can read the stories and words I load on the app and then watch how well he did on the video.

Video Teleprompter Lite - Start Instantly and Grow. Video Teleprompter Lite has everything you need to start making slick presentations while easily guiding yourself with a script. I have researched and tried a few other teleprompter apps, but this one seems the most straightforward and user-friendly. I use it on both my iPhone and my iPad to make quick clear videos … and I use the recommended 8Bitdo Zero 2 Bluetooth Gamepad so that I can remotely control the speed of the script without having to touch the recording device. Since the script can be confined to the area right next to the camera lens, I can maintain excellent “eye contact” with my audience. There is “room to grow” in that there are more functions and possibilities with this app than I have yet to explore. And beyond this app, you can upgrade to the related “Teleprompter” and “Teleprompter Premium” apps to gain further capabilities.

Helpful and Good. It helps, but the free version has not many facilities and options. We need to work with very limited access. Appreciate the app it helps so far for my projects.

Love it!!Very practical and easy to use!!. This app made my videos taking super easy and helped me memorize the lines I’m supposed to say. It is very user friendly. Loved the speed changing cursor!

Don't forget to look at the camera viewfinder. Just got the trial and immediately signed up for the version without a word mark. Took some attempts to realize you have to look at the lens...to the right of where the copy is.😂😊 Tip: if you hold your finger on the speed bar and roll it from left to right you can control the speed better. The only thing that would make this app perfect is voice recognition scrolling.

Works so well.. Love this teleprompter! It allows me to get all my thoughts down and say what I need to say without searching for a word or saying “ am” a lot. It is such a good way to be on point and deliver my message without any distractions! Highly recommended!

Don't bother with upgrade. I paid for the premium version and you cannot merge scripts, rendering the app totally useless. No support from Joe Allen. Rip off.

Get the professional version!. I found the free version a waste of time for my purposes. For a very small amount of money invest in the paid version which is great and does the job perfectly. Was a big help in providing a video for my website. Hence my three styles is really one stop for the free version and five stars for the paid version.

Fatal Flaws. I was on the verge of upgrading to the pay version of this app (and it's not cheap!) but I realized that it is virtually impossible to set the scroll speed precisely. Despite many attempts, I cannot set it to, say, 15.2 because as I lift my finger from the slider, it shifts, drastically. Why can't the program allow us to type in the values instead of making us use an impossible slider? Without that ability, the program is useless to me. Too bad.

Absolutely loving it. Amazing app! Came at the right time when I needed this to make self video to improve upon my public speaking skills. Easy to use, great result, very comfortable and looks like exactly we are viewing in the eye of camera even while reading the script! I am enjoying making videos using this! Only complain or request is to increase the word limit for the script from 800 words to something reasonable for free version. Overall a great app!

Awesome app, could use two new features.. I would love to be able to change the size of the text block on the left-hand side by the camera not just the size of the text. But the size of the area where the text is. Also, I'd love to preview the scrolling speed. As it is now the only way to preview the speed is to actually record a video and then to delete the video after if the speed wasn't to your liking. Besides that I absolutely love this app, and suggest that you download it

Awesome!. I just signed up for the Teleprompter that can hold more than 850 words. At first the record button wasn't showing so I rebooted my iPhone and turned it back on and the record button showed. I had my script typed on my email, copied it and pasted it into the Teleprompter script and it worked perfectly fine! I'm loving it! It's definitely a good purchase! My eyes don't appear as though I'm reading a script! I love it!! Definitely recommend it!

Water marks. I bought the payed version, I don’t know why it shows the water mark ? Have any idea what to do to solve this ? Thanks. I would recommend to add white balance and any counter to know the time recorded.

5 Stars when text editing issues are fixed.. I am using this on the ipad pro and really think its great. The text panel, positioned right next to the camera is easy to read, and eliminates the eye panning that would occur with a wider layout. It may be a bit small on other devices, but it is absolutely perfect on the iPad Pro. My only gripe is with the text editor when using it with the smart keyboard attached(external keyboard). The lower third of the screen does not display text or allow for any input. So scrolling, selecting text, and editing are a pain. At this point I use notes to do my edits. This was likely done to solve input issues with the "software" touch screen keyboard as the area affected is roughly the same size as the keyboard panel. I would also like to have the ability to make custom interface configurations. If you can make these changes, I will give 5 stars.

New version inferior. What happened to the in camera audio feature? There was beautiful audio on this at one time. Now it is sub par

Fabulous!. Thank you for creating this app. Starting out as a minimalist, I wanted a way to use my phone as the tool it is, while doing what I love for work. You made this possible. And to be honest, even though it is entry level, to me it was worth more than 7.99. So as you go forward and add additional features, "like the ability to flip the screen or change cameras".. first let me know and I'd buy that feature too. Thank you for being the creative person you are and developing this app.

Lame. Unless you want their lame watermark across the entire screen of your video, don't use this app. To get rid of it they make you pay $15... better apps out there for free.

Don’t tape until.... This app puts a huge watermark over your tape unless you pay upwards of $16 FYI. Perhaps they could be more forthcoming

Wow. What trash. I must have spent two hours filming a video application with this app cutting me off every 3-5 min randomly, each time "saving" my videos. Turns out it didn't save anything except the 6 time I actually pushed the button. Each time it cut off it would randomly set its prompter speed. For example when starting I had the speed set at 40.5. When it cut me off 40.5 would be breakneck speed so I would have to dial it to low 20s. The NEXT time I was cut off it did the same thing causing me to dial it to around 11. Etc. etc. It's just so frustrating when an app that costs $8.00 doesn't work well and will cause me to refilm most of my work again tomorrow. I'm so disappointed.

Worked great. But here's some tips. This was the only app that did what I wanted it to do, which is great! But not without flaws. Editing the text was a pain, but more importantly, the videos would take multiple times to save. It would say "saved" but wouldn't show up in my photos. Sometimes it would and sometimes it wouldn't. Also it would delete the previous video I tried to save and only save the most recent one.

Best choice. I tried a bunch of similar apps and this one is by far the best one, specially considering that it’s a free version that delivers so much.

Ruined. The new update is a disaster. Thanks for making me have to buy a new promoter app because you turned this one to garbage. Ever time I tray to time it for under a minute it just runs whatever it wants. It also just dims me to near blackness for no reason at all. It’s a train wreck!

I like it. I am the tech teacher in my school. My principal asked me to create video announcements to play at the beginning of every school day. I tried using a projector behind the camera to project the announcement script, I tried paper scripts. I even checked out buying a professional TelePrompTer. When I came across this app I decided to give it a try. I bought an adapter for the iPad so that I could get better sound and the small area to read the script on the iPad screen makes it look like the subjects are looking right into the camera lens. This app has been a much less expensive solution to my problem. Paper scripts were noisy. When projecting the script behind the camera the audience could see the subjects eyes moving. This app has been exactly what I have needed to record announcements for my school.

Only fair. It records in profile only, and it’s obvious you’re reading in the video because this text is so large below the lens. Not useful for me.

★★★★★ five stars for Video Teleprompter!. This is just what I needed to record a five minute video self introduction. No need to edit, any TEXT .. do all the editing in the notepad. If I had a complaint the only complaint would be the exposure control is not quite as good as the camera app on my iPad. Some things turned out washed out in the video. I'm going to try using a green screen in the future. That will require some editing in iMovie, Or some other video app.

It was great.. I needed to produce a quick video, and it enabled me to speak into the camera the whole time, which is just what I needed.

Money grabbing bug. It immediately asked for a key in order to continue. The free version shouldn't be asking for this. Will delete.

Won’t save the videos. The app either won’t save the videos or hangs and crashes when attempting to save, rendering this app useless. I have an iPhone 7s with latest IOS installed.
