DO NOT DOWNLOAD!. Totally worthless app. I’ve never written an app review before, but the complete lack of utility for an airline app compelled me to pen something just to add to the chorus of condemnation. As everyone else has stated about this app for years now, this thing lacks any functionality that one would expect from an airline — aside from booking new flights. BA should be ashamed of itself.

The worst airline app ever. The app is absolutely useless - flights are often missing, reservations changes dont update and reminders often refer to flights that were cancelled weeks previously. Check in usually fails and as for making a reservation..... Even flight status info is often missing and BA has an interesting concept of punctuality. A flight that goes 5 minutes before schedule is proudly listed as early but one 14 minutes after scheduled is on time! BA has a well deserved reputation for really lousy, inadequately tested IT but this takes the prize.

Worthless. As others have stated. All the useful information regarding BA options, upcoming trips and bookings are gone. Simply a booking site that almost nobody will use because they will do that on a computer, where they can save information and make screen shots easily as proof of their booking. Clearly some IT or middle management person trying to justify their job with no thought of the customer.

Harmful to the British Airways Brand. I’ve found one use for this thing in the time of COVID: it’s marginally faster to check ever-changing flight schedules than some alternatives, such as visiting the website. (Of course, I would never actually purchase a booking in this app, explained below in my review.) ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ I’m honestly not sure why BA choose to keep this up in the store. It’s clear they’re not interested in maintaining it, as the tiny amount of functionality that it delivers now often doesn’t work as intended. The booking search, for example, regularly aborts with a generic error message, implying an unexpected server response; also, the “nearby-date-prices” ribbon at the top of the search results is no longer accurate (off-by-one error). These behaviors imply that the app is no longer kept up-to-date with BA’s own backend services. Therefore, I would never trust this app to do the one thing it’s able to do: book a flight. As a programmer myself, I hate having my name attached to a product that the business is no longer supporting. It reflects poorly on us as engineers, and once the dilapidation progresses past a certain point – as it has, in this case – then leaving the product available/accessible causes more damage to the company and its brand than simply disposing of it.

Wretched. Useless. Open it and it goes to a booking screen with no way to navigate to other features like my current booking or seat assignments or account information. I’ll just delete it. Maybe they will create a new one. A big disappointment since I use my iPad for everything. EDB

Easy to say you’re app’s great when it does nothing. My review should say nothing to match the functionality of the app. That said, the app matches BA’s view of customers - we like their money but frankly, we wish they didn’t show up. Yes I’ve been Silver and Gold for years, still have 1m Avios and - heck, have you seen Qatar’s app? Looking forward to flying Qatar next week. Of course they want to make a profit - but BA, duh, don’t be so obvious .... leave me at least a glimmer of belief that I may matter. This app says everything there is to say about BA customer treatment.

This app is literally pointless.. This app performs the singular task of booking a flight. This could easily be completed, at far less expense, with a web app. What a gigantic waste of resources and time. Whoever made the decision to publish this application to the App Store should be ashamed of themselves. Also Apple should remove it for failing to comply with App functionality requirements.

Only flight bookings, nothing else. All you can do with this app is book a flight. You can’t look up or modify an existing reservation, check in, etc. The only logic I can imagine behind this is they thought “If you have an iPad, you can do all that from Safari”—but you can buy flights there too. So, what’s the point?

What. The. Hell?. Seriously British Airways? Was this a joke? Some in-house marketing department dare that you guys could actually put out an app that not only is utterly useless for managing flights, but directly pisses off your most valued Gold Tier members? It’s been months now since this abomination of programming was released. Somebody pay off the bet, hahaha we get it, then pull this garbage and replace with your ‘actual’ app. You have one, right? RIGHT?

App froze and won’t even download on my iPhone 13 Pro or iPad Pro. App is worthless and froze while trying to download on both my iPhone 13 Pro and my iPad Pro. This is why I try not to use British Airways to travel - if I had any other choice. All aspects of BA’s airline services has always been severely lacking.

Most useless app ever. Unless you purely want to purchase a ticket, this thing is useless eye candy for people that don’t ever want to be a frequent flyer of BA. Can’t imagine why people would want to frequent BA. Suggestion : let the user do anything other than purchasing a ticket. Anything. Maybe some of us have booked a ticket and want to use the app to manage said booking. I know it’s a stretch.

Only for booking?. I have a flight on BA booked and downloaded this app so that I could keep tabs on my upcoming flight (changes, etc.). What a worthless app! Only for booking??? Really? I don’t need an app to book, I need it to monitor my existing booking, checkin when the time comes, etc. I’ll try the version for phone to see if that works, but if so, I don’t see the point of having different versions. I use my iPad rather than iPhone whenever possible (easier to see / use / type on a larger device). But apparently, British Airways thinks that the only reason someone would use an iPad is to book but not to do anything else related to flying BA? I’m uninstalling this app immediately. I’d give it zero stars if I could.

There should be a zero star rating.. What a terrible app. I was frustrated with my British Airways app because it never worked properly and didn't have enough account information. I saw this BA app for iPad, and I thought-great, an app specifically for iPads. That will solve all my problems. After zfive minutes, I deleted the app. It had to be the worst app I've ever seen, in any product category. I wonder hoe British Airways stays in business.

Disappointing, please improve!. I have the British Airways app on my phone and expected to have comparable functionality in this version for iPad. Instead, it is only for searching and booking flights. Tap your account and it will bring up a screen with your account number, contact details, and current Avios, but you cannot access anything beyond this. Even with an upcoming flight on British Airways, I cannot access any of the features the iPhone version has. So I’m stuck picking my seat from a very tiny seat map on my phone. Disappointing. Please improve!

This app seems to be only only for booking a new flight. Can’t make Changes, can’t check current and upcoming bookings - can’t see history. Not sure what the point is unless they are coming up with another app that does what this one used to be capable of.

Can only book new flights. BA is hilariously bad at all forms of technology, and this new app is the pinnacle. It can't do anything that you'd ever want to do in an airline app: manage flights, check in, get flight status, access in-flight services, etc. It does exactly one thing: book flights. That's the one thing that I will never ever use an airline's own app for, since it would mean that I can't compare flights with other airlines. This app is useless. I'd say to get the iPhone app instead, but that just kicks you to the website any time you try to use it (which then tells you you should be using the app!) so you might as well just stick to a browser. Or better yet, don't fly BA in the first place.

Worthless. Agree with all other reviews, loved prior version, had all the info I would need, easy interface. Now it’s only a booking site, and even then would not auto fill my info after signing in, wanted me to enter all my info, name, address, BA frequent flyer number. What’s the point of signing in?? I just did it thru the web, much faster. This app is worthless, delete!

Terrible!. I use airline apps to search flights, follow flight status, check my account, and everything else you can do from the airline’s website. But not this app! This is ONLY a booking app. Please give us back an iPad app with more functionality! For now I’m back to the iPhone app. I would give this app zero stars if I could.

Absolute rubbish. I’d give this a 0 if I could. All you can do is book a flight. Why not just duplicate the iPhone app?!?!?? Just stunningly stupid on BA’s part.

Where did everything go?. The latest update of this app changed everything. All I can do is search for flights. My booking information and ability to see my account and my trips is gone. This is worthless right now. With a trip coming in a few days, I was using this app just last week to get all my flight data, now nothing is there. Please fix this quickly.

Pretty but doesn’t work. This is very stylish, but doesn’t actual work so that isn’t very helpful. It took 3 goes to login. Then I go through the booking process and get to the payment, there the screen freezes with ‘getting your options’ or similar. Also, it included none of my information from my existing travel profile. BA’s IT has deteriorated so badly over the last 2-3 years it is tragic. It used to be the best, now it is the worse because aesthetics are being put ahead of functionality.

Absolute Waste of Time for NonBA Frequent Flyer. The iPad app only is really functional if you are a BA frequent flyer. If you are a member of a sister airlines frequent flyer programs, this app does nothing for you. The regular BA app at least allows nonBA frequent flyers to look-up travel details for BA flights. I really don’t understand how clueless BA is regarding the apps functionality. Rule Britannia, yeah LOL

Beware - does not do what you might expect!. Not sure what is happening to BA. Opened the new app excited to check it out and then proceeded to have a very frustrating and bewildering 30 seconds of interaction. Finally realized the ONLY thing you can do is book a flight...what rationale inspired them to do this??? At least label the app correctly so that is clear?!?

Useless app. Horrible UI/UX. Open the app and it only gives you the option to search for a new booking. Frustrating, I’m only here to check on an existing booking… Finally I put in a generic city and can see my name/details in the top right. Click on that, no option to see existing bookings. Useless app.

The Worst Airline IPad App by a Wide Margin. At first you are convinced you must be doing something wrong. The app can’t possibly be this bad. Over time, you will learn that you can’t navigate anywhere in this app. It is truly the worst iPad app ever launched by any large company. Hard to understand the lack of quality control that went into the release of this. Please don’t make the mistake of bothering to download it.

Entirely useless. BA have managed to design an app that’s substantially less useful than just browsing to their Web site. This is a substantial downgrade from using the phone app in the center of an iPad screen. I suppose that’s an accomplishment of sorts. Don’t download—it doesn’t let you see your upcoming flights, check in, or do anything at all other than purchasing tickets, and it’s not particularly good at that.

The BA iPad App doesn’t work yet!. Was prompted to download when used the regular app on iPad. Unfortunately the only thing it does is let you search for flights or access the first page of your Executive Club account. No finding flights already booked, etc. Very disappointing.

Terrible. “We’ve changed” - the first words you read when you fire up the app. Really? It used to be worse than it is now? First, you are forced to view a stream of fancy graphics extolling the wonderful app experience, this takes several seconds. You finally land on a booking page - no other option shown. What if you just want to manage your existing booking? Must use p-word to log in every time, Touch ID doesn’t work, but guess what! Swipe it closed and reopen it and you are still logged in! Who coded this &$#@?

Major Steps Backwards. What a hot mess the BA app is nowadays. From being a helpful, informative, easy to use app that featured all of my key frequent flyer information and preferences, to a fancy transitions but fatally flawed booking-only site. As a higher status Avios member who routinely flies between the US and London - and often onwards to Asia via LHR - this app alone turns me off purchasing BA tickets. In other words, ridiculous upgrade equals at least £30,000 lost per year for the company... just from me.

Useless mistake. New Upgrade opens with a nifty graphic, “We’ve changed.” I’ll say you have. You’ve invested a lot of money into changing your app into something completely useless. Nearly all functionality was lost. Was this a mistake? Did you reapportion your IT team to replace striking flight crews? I presume your website still functions, but your competitors’ apps and fares will suffice for me.

It doesn’t even bring up trips I have!?!?. What the heck is this? It does nothing but allow you to look up new flights. It doesn’t know the ones you have or have ANY other features. Just a basic where do you want to go. No hamburger menu, nothing! This is the biggest waste of an APP yet from any company. I’m afraid to fly on these people’s planes now. I am being serious!

Absolutely functionless besides buying a flight.. Just use iPhone version until they actually put some content into this, Zero access to my avions account, pas bookings etc. Ba website is far more useful. This is just a full screen pieces of pap. It should be removed until fully functional 1 star is generous.

No functionality. The only thing this app can do is book a flight. The handy Account Info page tells me my name, email address, contact number and how many avios I have - which is pretty pointless as the app does not have a feature which allows me to book a flight using them. The most intriguing thing about this app is that there seem to be a number of people who have rated it 5 stars. I cannot imagine.

Pointless. I downloaded the iPhone app on the iPad to manage an existing booking and it told me there was an iPad version. Great, I thought. I’ll use that. I deleted the iPhone version whilst the iPad version installed. Imagine my surprise when presented with a one liner asking me where I want to go - and absolutely nothing else, even when clicking around. What a waste of time!

Terrible!. What is the point of this app? I thought I would be able to view and manage my flights thought this app, but it only lets me book flights. Why on earth they would not have functionality to manage existing bookings I will never know… Don’t even bother with it - save the memory on your iPad for some extra photos or whatever…

Completely useless. What is BA’s reaction to having a large screen and a comfortable keyboard to type on? Give no functionality whatsoever, no ability to see any account details and a giant screen of blank space. I don’t know what was going through their head when they designed this app but it is completely useless. Hey BA, maybe sometimes we don’t want to book a brand new flight and maybe do some management of the flights and our account that we already have? Ridiculous.

You can only book flights. Nothing else. I am seconding everything everyone else has said. Absolutely useless. Not only can you do only one thing, you have to watch a animated scroll of useless fluffier before you get to the one (only one) thing you can do. Looks like it was designed by the graphic design department and demoed on a 2 slide PowerPoint to the execs. Oh, and it didn’t work with my account password and I had to change it. I’m guessing the ampersand broke it. Software Dev’s out there will know this means bad data input handling and a gaping security hole.

Complete and utter garbage. This app has no useful information. Cannot see flight status or booking information or anything. Allegedly you can use it to book flights. But once you’ve done that, I guess—if booking flights with a single-purpose iPad app is how you like to roll—this garbage app just abandons you. Completely worthless.

How not to design an app upgrade. BA took a very useful handy iPad app that showed my my current trip information, my avios , I could book and see flights I had already taken and without warning you made it useless with only being able to use it as a booking tool , not sure what you were thinking BA but if I could give you a zero I would. You certainly didn't get voice of customer before hand but it looks like you are getting it now. I suggest you listen to it. iPad users if you have the BA app and you want to be able to do anything other than book flights and you can avoid the upgrade , do so. Mine was set to automatically upgrade unfortunately

Why did they do this!. I alayws thought BA had one of the best airline apps out there, but what they did do to the iPad app. Thank goodness they didn’t do the same with the iPhone app. You used to be able to check your bookings, see Executive Club status and card, all that useful stuff. Now all you can do is book a flight. I can’t even see my current booked flight. Did they skip the user testing completely? Shame on you BA.

Apple Pay not working. Some improvements but still missing the ease of click and go on Apple Pay despite being advertised

The app does not work for me. I have a trip in 2 weeks upcoming on British Air so I thought it would be cool to see it in the app. But the app simply does not work! It spends the first minute basically showing you an ad on how wonderful their new designed app is, and then locks on a screen to search for flights. Dumb and no use.

Want to check your flights - cant in app!!. Amazing that loading the most recent app allows you to only look for fights . The app doesn’t link to your account and let you see your current flight nor let you check in for your flight! What’s the point of having an app BA? Now going to login to my account through a browser that most other airlines have in their app! Dumb, dumb, dumb!! Rated 1 star because I couldn’t rate lower. Absolutely useless app!

What’s the point of this app?. After downloading the BA mobile app on my iPad, I was prompted to install this BA for iPad app. To my surprise, I discovered that all one can do with this is search for and book a flight. I couldn’t manage my current booking, obtain my boarding pass, check Avios or do any of the tasks normally available through an airline app. I just don’t get the point of it. I immediately uninstalled this, and re-downloaded the mobile app. Although the latter doesn’t fill my iPad screen, at least it’s not as useless as the one for iPad. Wheel and come again, BA.

Very Disappointed - No Access to Booked Flights. Really surprised and disappointed in the BA app for iPad. I wanted access to an existing booking, be able to change seats etc. This app only lets me book a new flight! I did have the iPhone app on my iPad but was prompted to install the iPad app instead… but it is useless if you already have a flight booked!

Absolutely Disaterous‼️. It appears the only thing you can do on this app is book a flight. And even then, if you want to fly to Berlin, it doesn’t appear to know that Tegal Airport closed on November 8, 2020 after the new Berlin Brandenburg Airport opened and it offers both as an option. It lacks all the other functionality that’s available in their iPhone app, such as changing you password. It’s shocking that a company with the reputation BA has—or used to have—would put something as bad as this into production. I’s not even worth the one star I gave it.

Go back to the regular app. I thought I’d replace the British Airways app on my iPad with this new one that is supposedly designed just for the iPad. Mistake. After opening this one and logging on you come to a screen asking your destination. That’s it. No other option than to book a flight. No navigation to check existing trips or do any of the things offered in the regular iPhone app. Why would anyone want their iPad app? Why did they send me an email recommending that I install this version “designed for the iPad”?!?

Still Is Not Useful. It’s beyond me why the IPad version doesn’t have the same features as the iPhone version. This only lets you book flights or launches a web based pass through to their website. Not helpful at all. I’d expect more from BA. It’s been this way for years - they apparently don’t care about their tech stack or iPad users. Shameful.

Terrible. I don’t understand why they did away with all the useful functionality. You can’t see flight status, your account avios or tier points, etc. I also miss the nice “my flights” screen where you could check the different legs of your flight and check in. I was sure it was a mistaken release and they would fix with an update, but so far they haven’t. I now have to go through safari to see what had worked well on iPad.

Can't book multiple-city flights. This seems to have a small fraction of the capabilities of the website, and so is close to useless. In particular (for my situation) I don't see any way to book a multiple-city flight. It's very pretty in a design-y sort of way, but it can't actually DO very much. Sheesh.

The app only needed to do one thing. ...which was to allow me to check in and get a seat not in the middle of the plane (since BA fails to read one world frequent flyers’ seat preferences). Both times I was ready to check in the moment it opened, both for 23 hr journeys. Both times it spat the dummy because it was a codeshare flight connecting to the intercontinental one. I couldn’t choose and ended up being given the dreaded F seat, middle of nowhere. I rang the help line for BA but they said everyone was too busy and hung up on me. NEVER flying BA again after this experience. I say this as a regular on the AU-EU routes.

Don’t bother it rubbish. The app is so bad. As you log in the log in screen moves up the page as you type so eventually if you have a normal email address the page can no longer be seen. The app only allows bookings, you can’t check a booking, upload details for a flight (COVID stuff), change a booking, cancel a booking, check-in to a flight, change seats. Who tested this app, a bookings clerk at a travel agency? The app has no way of going backwards out of a decision and has the worst User Interface, an all white screen so you don’t know where buttons are. The screen colour and UI is probably a good thing, cause they forgot to add any buttons. Downloaded and deleted within the space of 10mins as I didn’t want it to infect any of my good apps. Use the website instead.

Totally useless. Cant access booked flights

Significant BASIC problems. Really, has this been beta tested on an iPad? Can’t go backwards, lose login…

Dont waste your time. Well British Airways if this is the best you can do don't bother. Honestly do not even download this app its worse than useless

Junk. Not an app for managing your account/booking just search new flights

BadApp. Dont bother this is so dumbed down its virtually useless!

Useless - don’t bother downloading. For booking only - was directed to this app from the iPhone app thinking it would have the same functionality as other airlines’ apps - forget it folks

Terrible. Previous version could track and manage bookings via booking reference number. This version only handles BA members who sign in. Completely useless for non-members like me.

Good - now useless. This app was useful, the revised version (Nov 2019) is useless, all functionality done and is tailored to booking flights only - which can be done better elsewhere. BA - wake up, you will lose your loyal customers

Ridiculous. I don’t want to BOOK a flight, I want to retrieve a booking. WTH?

Not for me. There doesn't seem to be any provision for multi-city flights. I'll just use their website.

Garbage app. I’m sure there r other things to do with the loyalty program than just booking a flight. It used to be ok, now it’s a complete garbage app.

Profiles not saved. Hi BA Team My app doesn’t want to store my login. Is this a “feature” or a “bug”? Thanks

Far far worse than the iPhone version.. Doesn’t do anything other than look up possible flights. Doesn’t allow to look up booking code and certainly is a far call from the iPhone version. Sad I wasted 5 minutes of my life trying to figure out where the functionality was hidden.... only to find it’s absent! Absolute crap.

Terrible App, Dysfunctional & Limited. Absolutely rubbish App, barely has any functionality other than to book overpriced British Airways flights. No access to Rewards. Can’t even get my existing BA flights or even to check in online. I honestly don’t know what to point of this regarded app is, don’t waste your time. I redownloaded the old B A App which works perfectly fine

giant step backwards. can only book flights now. all useful features have been removed. is this a taste of the future with BA?

Inoperable. Now does not work on iPad Pro since their most recent “upgrade”.

An awful update. This ‘new’ version is horrible. I regret updating. Give us back the previous app.

Waste of time. The app is just a booking portal no other functionality at all

Don’t bother. This app is not supported anymore.

Crappy app with few features. Just for booking! Just an interest to make more money and not focusing on client need. Launch Dev 101 - if you already have an iPhone app, provide the same features if you launch the iPad version!

iPad app is worse than useless. Really wanted this app to work. The British Airways iPhone app is much better. With this iPad app I can log in but do nothing else. I cannot view my booked flights to get any details and neither can I search for new flights. What is the point of this if it doesn’t perform either of its primary tasks? Updated two days ago but still doesn’t work. BA should be ashamed of themselves releasing an app this bad.

Why bother offering an app that always errors out?. No matter what combination of flights I chose, the app errors out! Totally useless. Fix it or take it off the App Store !

Ba iPad app. Rubbish! I can only book a flight and see my total miles. I have gone back to using the phone version which works perfectly well on an iPad

Useless. Why would BA release such a useless app. Nada. The absolute only thing it does is ask you for a destination you want to travel to. Then nothing. I thought it may be a result of bad Wi-Fi but nope, it’s just useless.

Credit card fraud. I have reason to believe my credit card was compromised using this app. I downloaded the app, used it as a “guest” and made a ticket transaction for which I was given a phone verification apparently by my credit card company. Then nothing. Phoned credit card company - there was no transaction. Phoned British Airways - no transaction. Credit card cancelled.

Unbelievably useless. Almost zero functionality. Will delete and try to reload iPhone version (which itself was not exactly an award winner)!

Useless. No functionality I want info about my flight! Really BA what are you doing? Then I can’tpost the review.

I want to give a half star. This app is the worst one I have never seen. It has only one function, to book flight. I want an app that can do more. I want to use the app that I can check flight, see my booking, manage my booking, check in ……. Unfortunately it has nothing except book a flight.

No use.. This app serves for nothing on an iPad.

What is the point of this app?. Completely useless. What was the point of replacing the older version that actually had some use?

Only for booking flights. This app is only for booking flights, no other functionality. Very disappointing

Shee eat my cash and don’t let go. Ju G Him Hgkgjgkyuykugkug’gh.,

Latest update just stuck on black screen. Do yourself a favour, uninstall this crock of fetid piece of rotten pus, and install the iPhone version instead. Start the app, it shows BA logo, and then.... nothing. Black screen only. Stop outsourcing your development and QA to VP’s nephew, hire someone with a clue to fix this, please!

Useless. No functionality. I’m going to delete this and use the iPhone version.

Garbage. Replaced quite a decent app with this entirely useless one. Completely brainless by BA.

Astonishing!. Like so many others, all the app allows me to do is book a flight; no booking or account management, no flight information, nothing. I assumed this was a recent bug but I see reviews of this problem going back two years! Given the quality and function of the phone version I cannot imagine what the developer is thinking or doing here. Stop wasting our time and fix the issue or make the iPhone version a universal app and scrap this.

DUH !. Why would you create two apps British Air, why would you have one on IPad for bookings only … get rid of this app… it’s useless and misleading !

Why even bother creating a partially useful app. I booked my trip, then went to check it and add more info, only to discover this app is a one-trick-pony. It can ONLY do bookings. That’s it. Nothing more. It can’t even manage my Avios points correctly.

This app is worthless.. When I found out al, I could do was book a new flight, I put down my iPad and went to my iMac. Absolutely worthless.

Is this a joke?. There is nothing in the app except “Where do you want to go”.

No longer useful. The latest update removed all functionality aside from booking flights. I’m no longer able to keep track of my bookings or check into a flight with the iPad app.

Regression. As with other reviews I agree that this app is a regression. For a major player such as BA to have an app that only has one function, to sell tickets, just doesn’t make sense. Whoever thought that this was a good idea should be sent back to kindergarten and learn the basics all over again. If I could give it less than one star I will would.

Useless. Just tried the new app, nothing but the ability to book new flights, can’t do a thing with existing bookings, glad I didn’t delete the old app

What was once a useful app now is useless !!. The previous version had loads of good features. But is now just browser of flights and prices.

poor..... very poor. When I wanted to email my boarding pass the app completely screwed up the layout and overlayed the typing spaces with multiple other things so i could barely find where i needed to be to write an email address. The app also had my iPad so frozen that i had to do a reboot to be able to use the ipad again. The app also would not go into portrait mode, was far too busy with images and information, and did not use the full keyboard of the ipad pro 12.9. The older iphone version of the app i used to have was much better.

Why even bother. Useless app for anything other than booking flights.

You can only book a flight. I have no idea what is the purpose of this app. You can login, and book a flight. That’s it! You cannot see your bookings, you cannot check in, actually you cannot do anything else. Not sure how do you spell useless.

Worst App. Shockingly poor functionality. So poor, I can’t even log in. App for iPhone worked (although glitchy) but keep getting an error saying my credentials are wrong on the iPad app. Typically fly Delta, so this is my first BA experience. Hopefully BA is better at flying planes.

Useless. 99% of the time this app doesn’t load and when it has it’s useless anyway. All that can be done is book a flight and not manage a booking, print itinerary or anything else at all. I don’t see the point of this app at all. Zero stars

Completely useless - do not download. This is not an app, it is only a portal for booking flights, NOTHING ELSE. You cannot open your booked flights, see your account information, or anything. Do not download unless you want to book a flight with zero functionality.

Just for booking?. Having logged in with difficulty (it did not seem to like my email so I used account #), all I can see is a request for dates to book. Can’t see previously made bookings or any other info about my account. Try again, folks.

This app is useless. At a time when people are increasingly using and depending upon apps, this app is distinctly useless. I was prompted to download this app for the iPad only to find that I can only search flights to make, and nothing else. I cannot manage present bookings, or anything is use. It is odd that you have created a useless app.

Awful app!. This app is all about buy more, buy more, but doesn’t let you manage anything existing with your account, existing flights etc… truly a horrible experience! One use and I started looking at other airline apps for flights.

A Big 0 Star!. What the heck have you done? You’ve taken something user friendly & made it non functioning! Did anyone beta test this thing before you released it? People rely on this app. You need to fix this pronto! Horribly disappointed in you BA!

Useless. Doesn’t do anything. I just wanted to check in for my flight. When I open the app it only asks where I want to fly as if i am trying to make a new reservation. There is no other link to do anything else so I’m even stuck on that screen. The only thing I can do is go back, but then I’m at the App Store. Wow how stupid.

Don’t waste your time. Unless you only want to book a flight then it has no value. How is it an airline of BA’s stature release such junk. I tried the AP and deleted it and went back to the phone version.

Typical BA not listening. Typical BA not listening to or caring about customers. Did we say we didn’t want to be able to recline in Club Europe ? Did we say we didn’t want to be able to view current bookings, or see past flights credited to our accounts or other Exec Club details? Why take all this functionality away?

How to completely destroy an app. The new upgrade is absolutely terrible. The old app on the iPad used to show me my bookings, avios transactions, future flights, special offers, etc. This one just lets me book a flight. That is it. Absolutely appalling. I wish I could give it zero stars. I won’t be using it again.

Only useful to book a flight no other functionality. I was trying to check in on the app but there is not even a menu! Book a flight is the only option! Odd. Back to the drawing board with this one!

The worst airline app. I travel frequently and have apps for most major airlines. BAs is by far the worst - difficult to navigate and even when logged into my account I need to reenter the same data every time I take a new flight. Useless.

Useless. Downloaded, deleted and downloaded several times thinking that the complete uselessness of this app was a technical error. Nope. It just doesn’t do a thing. BA must have released this by mistake. iPhone app works fine on the iPad, so I’ll stick with that.

An Excellent Lesson on How Not to Release an App. In many ways this app is well aligned to British Airways corporate strategy: - Take away all the good things - Make everything that remains worse than it was before while saying its much, much better - Force the inferior product on customers while telling them it's for their own good - Completely ignore customer feedback Years from now this app will be used as a practical all-encompassing demonstration of every possible aspect of what not to do in app development and release. Excellent work BA.

Useless. Why discard the previous app for one that ONLY books flights. I can do that elsewhere more quickly and efficiently. If you want me to you your app, make it full service. Otherwise people can just book on Expedia, et al — you know, the companies that you have to PAY for each ticket they issue. Smart business move.

Pretty much useless. In keeping with British Airways’ general ineptitude, this app fails to function in any useful way besides searching for flights to book. There appears to be no way to access or manage existing bookings through my account, or do anything else, really. Rubbish. Well done, BA!

Totally useless app. There are a lot of easier ways to book a flight. What I want an app to do is show status, account information, upcoming flightd, check-in status, seat assignments, and more. This app does none of that.

Hopeless. You thought their iPhone app was bad or their call queues were unbearable….? Be prepared for the worst airline iPad App ever. Virtually no functionality other than booking a cash flight to one destination on specific dates. Pitiful for such a big corporation that once used to be revered.

Total crap. This app doesn’t work. Just keeps me locked on a ‘Find Flights’ page. There don’t seem to be any other options - managing my account, dealing with my upcoming Club World flight. Why is BA IT so horrific? And is this a reason why there are no Google’s, Meta’s and Microsoft’s launched from/HQ’d in the UK?

What is the point of this app??. As a former programmer with BA (admittedly in the dinosaur age), I am embarrassed about not only this app (seeing previous comments too) but also the website. Please check out some other comparable airlines to get some tips on make searching for, & booking, flights much simpler.

Why why why?. Why why why can I not check in to my flight from this app??? What in the world is the point of a BA app when all you seem to be able to do is book flights? I ALREADY DID THAT! Now I need to check in. Useless, to put it mildly.

Terrible upgrade. Imagine ‘upgrading’ from First Class to Standby Coach. This is what has happened to the BA app. From an app with numerous features to one which allows you to buy a ticket and little else. I was wanting to check on some upcoming flight arrangements - not possible with this upgrade. Just awful.

This App is a Joke. This mobile App is a joke on customers. You can do only one thing using this App, book tickets. After you book the ticket, you cannot view them. It reloads the previous screen very often…. Buggy app… don’t install

I want to view my already purchased flights. What the heck? I want to view my account, look at my current flights, and check in. NOT purchase another flight. How do I get to my account? I can’t get past the booking page.

Absolute Disaster. What an absolute disaster. The fact that someone has made the decision to green light this release is mind boggling. But it is no surprise when considering the bad experiences across the brands touch points over the past couple of years. Shame on you…say goodbye to your NPS scores.

Below par. This app does nothing except for allow you to book flights. It asks you to enter your executive club number and you can’t see your miles or anything. You can’t even see your current flight. Why release this piece of junk?

Totally useless. Just gets stuck at a Home Screen that asks “where are you flying to” then won’t let you get to the next screen. If only it were simply as bad as the iPhone app then at least that would be something|

Poorly Coded. Still forever buggy - will only let me save UK as a country for a US resident credit card address - strange. Given the data heist a couple of years ago would not trust that security has improved a lot

Useless unless all you want to do is book. Looking at reviews from THREE years ago with the same comment: the only thing you can do as a guest is book a flight. So, apparently, BA has abandoned this app. Makes you wonder how they treat you when you’re a passenger, eh?

Garbage App. How does this useless thing get pushed out to customers without a single person at BA raising their hand to say “pardon me, boss. This app is completely pointless and has no functionality and will only serve to frustrate our customers.” This should just be removed from the App Store.

This app is horrible. What’s going on with you British Airways? Bad service now extends to your app? It doesn’t find my travel booking, stuck on fly me to …… page, horrible. I’m now worried that I’ve booked my holiday travel with you. Im deleting this app and rethinking future travel with ba.

Awful - the designer of this app should be embarrassed. Probably one of the worst user experiences I have ever seen on an iPad - totally and utterly incompetent. BA overall has a major navigation user experience across ALL it’s platforms - PC, phone, IPads etc. Web design is poor, not intuitive. BA - we have MUCH better UI and s/ware designers available, you can AND MUST do better!!!

Not useful at all just a time waster. There was nothing useful about this app. You should add back buttons or the ability to go to the home page or other sections. Why should anyone have to completely to restart the app the get to the main page? What kind of moron thought this was a good layout?

Can you put a zero star?. What on earth did they do? This turned into a put flight booking app. Awful! Why have an iPad app with a fraction of the phone app?.. I was convinced I’d messed up...so I deleted it and downloaded again.... nope..all functionality except for booking a new flight is GONE... and a high level account summary with no details. What did you do?... I downloaded the phone app on my iPad!! I was logging in to register my BA one world account number...... and the his app made he decide against it. I’m true American from now on!

Not worthless….but close. Might be the worst app I’ve used. Definitely the worst airline app (i have 6). Aegean and Aer Lingus are head and shoulders better. Functionality is so limited, cant imagine why you wouldnt just sign on online. Numerous problems just signing in.

Terrible app that does nearly nothing. See my bookings? No. Change existing flight? No. Flight status ? No. Pick my seat? No. Check in for flight? No. Are you kidding me? Don’t waste your time. This app can only make a new booking. That’s it. Keep using the website or the phone app.

Not very useful, limited functionality. This app only allow flight booking. It’s missing any other functionality, such as checking existing reservations or frequent flyer status.

Life Time Gold. This is dreadful. All i can do, maybe, is book a new flight. No access to existing bookings, flight status or any additional info your customers might find useful. Who exactly is clueless? BA, your developers, or both? I’d say the world wants to know except that i am inclined to say that it will soon no longer care.

What a waste. Do not bother to download this app as you are unable to see existing reservations, check in online, or any of the things you would expect to be able to do on the previous app. What happened? And why do I now have to use my phone to do all of the above?

Completly useless. What is wrong with you? Even if you would try it is impossible to design a more useless and limited app. All this can do is book flights. You cant retrieve your bookings, book an award flight, check flight status, check in....... 0 stars!

Totally Agree: 0 stars and should be removed from the App Store. What an utterly useless app. When other air carriers are delivering useful apps to their customers, BA seems either clueless or simply doesn’t care. Actually led me to looking for other airlines to patronize.

Is this for real?. Is this the full version of the app or BA by mistake uploaded a version where you can’t see your account and you can’t do anything else than buy flights... I want to believe is the later, so can you please restore full functionality soon!!!!!!!

Absolutely stunningly awful - who was the idiot that approved this?. Utterly useless, a huge leap backward from a not-brilliant iPhone app. Shame there is not a minus star rating. Suggest BA IT (assuming they have finished dealing with other IT screwups such as the months-long OnBusiness system failure) actually opens others apps. Try United or even AA for guidance….

The Worst App in the App Store. This iPad app is so useless it should be removed from the store. It does nothing that a useful app should do. It would appear that it is only purpose is to research future bookings. It does not show current bookings, which therefore can’t be managed. It pales in comparison to its rivals such as AA.

Only BA knows how to screw up a good app. What an absolute waste, completely unusable app, don’t waste your time installing it

Absolute rubbish!. They took a useful app that allowed you to do many things such as book via Avios or check balances as well as flight status and replaced it with a rubbish app that only allow# you to book with cash. So much for user experience and customer experience. Congrats BA you have lost a loyal Gold Card customer.

Awful. I can’t believe they did this. I want to look at my account and upcoming flights not book a new one. There is no way apparently to get out of the forced booking process. No Home Screen. Who designed this ? Redo immediately

Read the other customer reviews. Worst app ‘upgrade’ ever. Who in BA decided what device and what functionality was wanted by their customers? They obviously did it in a blacked out room with earplugs in and no interaction with those that travel and use their iPad in anger. Why not pull the iPad app completely and just say, use the website? Woeful.

An Utter Failure. While the phone app is nothing to praise, it does function. When prompted to switch to the bespoke version for iPad, I quickly discovered why a one star review is actually generous. Will be deleting this horrible app and managing my flights from the phone app.
